This concept is giving major 999 vibes, I love this already I also really like the shorter number in cast, I don't actually see a lot of fangans with shorter cast and I think that's a shame because I think there is a lot you can do with a shorter cast of 10-12 participants (see Danganronpa Lapse). > eleven students are forced to continue a killing game that they’ve supposedly already started. However, no one can remember the past trials, nor the deaths of their missing classmates. This is the main thing that caught my eye, and it definitely explains the shorter number in cast. And with their memory erased and the way this is worded, it feels almost like this death game that these characters are in has restarted. Like, something went wrong with it, and that resulted in the death game restarted using the eleven students still left. And if that is the case, that makes me wonder about the possible connection this death game could have with DRDT. But I will get to that later. > Between the killing game, their lost memories, and the “NG codes” that restrict their actions, how could anyone escape unscathed? So this is also using the NG Codes from Danganronpa 3? Yet another thing I find very interesting. I so badly want to know more about this cast. Okay before I even get into anything, I just want to say mad fucking props to DRDT Dev for these designs and for their art in general. They have genuinely improved so much since the start of DRDT, and it's so cool to see Second of all

DRDT-Dev has confirmed that this is the protagonist, so I am already very intrigued with him and what his deal is even though we won't find out for a long time Another fun little thing I noticed was that in all of the art so far out with him has him with his eyes closed. I wonder if that means anything Anyway, I love him, and I am also concerned for his safety for something I will talk about later

As for some smaller observations, given how closely these two are depicted, their fire and ice motifs, and their general simialr appearences. I don't think it's a stretch to say that these two could be sibling, or related in some way. I think that's cool

I've seen a few people say that this person could be Elliot Cuevas, Charles' older brother, and I definitely think that's a fair theory to have. Not just because of the purple hair, but also because of the collar around his neck. What is one of the only details we know about Elliot?

His favorite animal is dogs. And that collar (to me at least, looks very similar to a dog collar. Just something to think about

I have nothing insightful to say, this person is precious and I want to give them ice cream If people start theorizing them to be "secretly evil" istg... /lh /hj The rest of the cast (except one) I have nothing to comment on, so let's get to the main question I am thinking about at this moment Does this project have any connection to the lore of Despair Time?

This wasn't something that was confirmed, nor denied by DRDT Dev, so everything I'm about to say could age awfully. But I think there are a few pieces of evidence that could hint to this project having more relevence to DRDT than it comes across at first glance. Three to be exact. Let's start with the first and most obvious one

This man who is looking very smug at me is wearing a jacket with an XF-Ture Tech logo on it, or at least something that looks the part.

We do not have much information on what XF-Ture Tech as it stands right now. All we know at the moment is that it is a profit tech company that sponsored Min's family when she was younger at the promise that she would become the Ultimate Student in 12 years time, and that they also do "a lot of other things"....whatever the hell that shady sentence means. Due to the lack of information about XF-Ture Tech, there is not much else I can analyse at this moment. But this fact alone does seem to connect this project and DRDT in some way. But obviously that's not all For my second piece of evidence, we go back to that teacher character. Because I swear...there was another, albeit hidden, place where a teacher character was mentioned... Oh yeah !

.....Ohhhhhhh righttt... Teacher man, you're in big trouble. In all seriousness, considering how intricate DRDT-Dev's writing is, I just don't think this could be a coincidence at all and if it is I'll be genuinely surprised. I think this teacher character and the teacher mentioned in the about page's hidden text are the same person. Now that does not exactly answer the big question of who is saying this text. It could be the mastermind of this project's death game, could be another participant in this project's death game, hell the possibility that this is the mastermind of the DRDT cast's death game still isn't really ruled out. But the main point is that I think it's a very big possibility that this teacher and the teacher in the about page's hidden text are the same person. If we're following the idea that this is a restarted death game, that honestly gives me the same vibes as a reboot of a television show. If this does end up becoming the next fangan DRDT Dev releases after the completion ot Despair TIme, I am very excited to see in the future what has been cooking

So i already finished the whole series right after 4pm , Its was so good! I cried at the end though, the only thing i could say is every person cards is so damn insane! unlike the number cards. One of those weird days where I’m hating my laptop HARD.

1) Finally got my first “Uhm, hewwo? We cannot find the Wacom_Tablet.exe program” window in a while (I started using my tablet again in like March or April, so it is always around the 7th month mark, considering I vaguely remember last time it happened before all the disk error incident from late November, last year... which I will come back in a second). 

I couldn’t click it away and since W10, for some reason never really shuts down the computer and puts it in some kind of suspension, well, the window appeared juuuust before I shut it down and before I entered my session (heck, the session window loaded fast and I couldn’t see the gdmn window). Had to restart it.

I kinda have the slight suspicion that maybe putting a pw again might make this slightly easier and shooing away the window :/ I could ignore it, but knowing I cannot click it away unless I do this, it’s like, fuck.

2) My antivirus, for some weird reason, had my protection turned off... so it “updated” and told me “lol, restart your device” and you have me going through that.

With the previous situation above, I had been on this hell for almost 2 hours... My mood is pretty bad right now.

3) I suddenly remembered on Friday that the disk error from last year happened, basically around these days. I still don’t fully trust this laptop with this very early W10 OS version, because you can tell it’s quite... pirate. I feel like it is kept with bubblegum and clips so I barely move much around more deep issues. I was scared when the Antivirus had to update to its new UI version, and I did a back up and all (and, lol, I need to do one much more new, since this back up is already outdated from a few months back).Lucky enough, everything is still working nicely and I haven’t run into heavy issues (besides the Wacom thing, but that is a staple with them at this point, istg), but this thing that happened last year and the timing (I got the laptop in late Nov 2020, I had the disk error issue in late Nov 2021... and we are already entering late Nov 2022), isn’t giving me full confidence about “coming out from it clear” and it’s making me a little anxious and superstitious about the whole thing), so I’m a little scared, yes?

I wish it was easier to buy a new laptop (not preowned), but I do know for a fact that they are over 15k MXN pesos and I am still unstable enough to make such a decision for spending as much as that :/ (even if it’s an emergency of sorts...)

My parents believe I should talk about this with my psychologist, but that’s another issue and a half (btw, they did answer me back that hey have been busy with their side job thing, but... a heads up would have helped, you know? could’ve reduced my stress about it as a whole; I’m sending them another text tomorrow and a memorandum about it, however, because... the month is almost finished, lmao)... since, fuck, I have been pretty unlucky with my computers for more than a decade that, everytime a thing like this happens, it sends me to a spiral of anxiety because now I don’t have a “back up” computer at all... 

I hate this as much as you don’t know. When I got this laptop I thought I was lucky because it was smth I bought with my money, and honestly? it was a good deal and it was working perfectly (minus the initial disk error, minus the battery thing), but the year finished and left me with a bitter note when the thing became serious and had to reinstall the whole thing from scratch. I’m not sure what I am going to blame this time (if everything explodes into my face in a few days), since, again, I barely install ANYTHING and I’m cautious as hell and all that shit.

just a quick moment to say, i re-started this blog 38 days ago (yes, november 5th 2020) from like 4 followers (twas a user saver fr 2 yrs lmao) and ive been overwhelmed with all the support via here and the server!

The run-down walls looked extremely gloomy and terrible in the endless darkness.

It seems to be much bigger than we thought.

MC: Did we uncover a tomb that hasn’t been dug up? Those tomb raider novels are written like this… ***I’m getting Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider vibes***

Helios: Stay here.

With those few words, Helios walked towards the visible wall in the distance.

MC: Be careful.

I looked around cautiously, walked down the steps carefully and stepped on the ground where Helios was before.

At the same time, a thin golden thread lit up between the floor tiles. It stretched outward like an electric current.

Helios: What are you doing?!

MC: …Taking a step forward?

Helios came back to me in an instant, dragging me onto the transparent steps and looking around with cold eyes.

As the lines of light gradually brighten the building like a pulse, the mysterious symbols on the walls appeared like the eyes of a giant beast slowly opening in the dark.

??: We have been waiting for you for a long time.

??: Welcome to the lighthouse.

Lighthouse? Hearing this unfamiliar word, I froze.

The long synthetic sound came from far away. All the lines began to converge into a certain pattern and rearranged themselves. At the same time, some of the text on the wall gradually disappeared.

In this space constructed entirely of golden light, all the shadows connected with the outline of the sliding lines, forming a peculiar shadow on the dark background—

As if—there is an invisible person standing there.

The mechanical language doesn’t carry any emotion and there was a “didi” sound at the end of the conversation.

??: Human beings will be full of hostility towards the unknown. This is understandable.

??: Don’t worry, there is nothing in the lighthouse that can hurt you.

??: Of course we will not hurt you, special people. ***It knows about Evolvers but its not referring to them as that term. So were they called something else?***

The amiable electronic voice reverberated in the entire space. At the end of the sentence, there was a completely unintelligible language. ***Like the same unintelligible language that was heard in part 6 of Behind the Curtain?***

The light continues to flow and reorganize, making the “human figure” look like it’s stretching out its hands, signaling to us that there is no threat.

Its outline slowly became bright and thick and the entire “shadow” became clearer.

The accentuated light dispersed into light patterns and text around the area, illuminating the interior of the whole lighthouse.***Changed the wording***

??: It seems that you wandered into the lighthouse by accident but it does not matter.

??: Once again, I welcome you and your companion. I am the lighthouse’s legacy—

??: 19.

I cautiously ran to Helios’ side and pulled his shoulders slightly to reach his ears.

MC: ….Why do I find this scary…

Helios’ fixed his eyes on the figure. His whole body is tense as if he didn’t believe it.

Helios: There is no value in trusting things that are so cryptic.

On the huge wall behind us, a magnificent and unfamiliar picture formed.

The pattern of light is constantly changing and evolving with different characters and designs that are completely incomprehensible.

It seems to be showing something but it’s so obscure.

As the lines jumped around, huge and unfamiliar buildings were built high and collapsed into nothingness.

A crowd of people gathered and scattered about as if they were roaring and struggling. Finally the images on the wall disappeared one by one.

My brain stopped working for a while and I was stunned. I pinched myself hard and thought that everything in front of me was just a dream.

Residual intelligence? The last civilization?

I turned my head to look Helios. He also seemed to frown deeply at 19’s words.

I thought the restart of time was absurd enough, but I didn’t expect that the world seemed to prefer the moment when people were caught by surprise.

MC: ….Are you also “human beings”?

As soon as I asked, the question sounded a bit absurd even to me.

19: If you use your language and judgment criteria, yes. ***What, so they’re not human beings? Extra-terrestrials? Space aliens??? Istg, if the game introduces aliens into the story, I will lose it...in a good way.***

Helios: Can you prove it?

19: Nothing can be proved.

As it spoke, the sound of gears turned again and the stone slabs on the wall made a loose sound.

Helios immediately held me in his arms, took a step back, and carefully looked in 19’s direction.

While the wall vibrated, the stone slab was slowly opened.

The undisturbed dust rises in the long-lost light, as if waiting has exhausted all their once glory and splendor.

Now, it can only use this last touch of floating dust to meet this world again after a long absence.

Then, it fell silently, mixing with the ash that was already covering it.

Its appearance was hardly recognizable.

19: Can you see anything?

Neither Helios nor I spoke, but looked at 19 quietly.

19: Nothing at all, right?

19: We also know.

19 gently stretched out its hand. The line was deformed as if its palm stopped in the air.

In fact, it touched nothing. At that moment, its hollow shadow looked tired and relieved.

The lines are constantly deforming and flowing, as if with incomparable nostalgia, touching the most cherished traces that have been here.

19: Nothing can escape the erosion of time. The lighthouse is something we can keep in this world….***Their technology must be quite advanced to be able to make this lighthouse and survive all this time for it to be discovered. Something like this is definitely right up Kiro’s expertise.***

19: The greatest miracle.

Helios: If that’s the case…

A long laugh echoed in the lighthouse with a hint of weariness.

19: We are not the first civilization to disappear in this world.

19: Likewise, it will not be the last one.

My brain went blank.

I don’t know whether I should believe in such a strange and ridiculous voice and to believe that this world was as prosperous as it was hundreds of millions of years ago.

There may be people who are similar to us, have landscapes, and have the same or different world. They have existed in a real and vivid way.

And there was more than one such world.

Helios: What was the reason for your destruction?

19: It was because we lacked the necessary conditions. ***CORE, the QUEEN gene perhaps....?***

Helios: What do you mean?

19’s body leaned towards me and in that shadow, I seemed to feel a certain kind of gaze coming from the ancient years.

19: It is not up to “me” to answer your question. But other than that, I have a gift for you.

The lines flickered, skipped along the wall, and turned into a passageway.

I subconsciously stepped forward, trying to follow it, but Helios held me back.

Helios: What are you doing?

MC: It seems it wants us to follow.

Helios: Are you so easily fooled?

MC: ….

I met Helios’ mocking gaze, looked back at the flickering symbols on the wall, pursed my lips together, and kept my gaze firm.

MC: Although I don’t quite believe what it says, I think it is very sincere.

Helios: Insincere disguise is only a joke.

MC: Are you talking about yourself?

Helios: ….

He squinted his eyes and raised his head arrogantly, as if he wanted to conceal the emotions.

MC: And I would love to see what the gift is.

Helios: Be careful that you don’t get killed by ignorant curiosity.

His hands weren’t actually too stiff. I stared at him and stretched out my fingers toward the electric light that ran between the two of us.

MC: Helios, do you know what will happen if you cross this line?

He didn’t say a word. He only glanced at the ground and then his gaze returned to my face.

I smiled, and then gently pulled his hand with some force. Helios unexpectedly didn’t resist so I stepped towards the line with my strength.

MC: It seems that nothing happened.

Helios: It’s just a line.

MC: Maybe many things are just a line. Only to be crossed over. ***Changed some wording***

Helios: And if it can’t?

MC: Then think of a way. Two people will always have a way. ***Can’t help but get Light Pursuit date vibes from this scene***

There seemed to be a tremor in Helios’ eyes, holding my hand. His fingertips slowly turning white from his grip. 

At last, he laughed softly, with a bit of self-deprecation and helplessness.

Helios: (chuckles lightly) You really don’t know how to give up.

Helios: Then don’t let go.

Before I could reply, he took my hand and walked forward in front of me.

Turning around, we found that the figure had been waiting silently.

19: She is brave.

Helios: Just useless courage.

19: It is precisely because human beings are born with courage that we have to learn to avoid all unknowns and risks.

19 slowly moved along the wall. The mechanisms opened by the rotation of gears paved the way for us.

Looking at its figure, I felt like someone was walking beside me, telling me some age-old stories.

19: It allows you to greet the unknown even if you feel scared and to overcome all the pain for the sake of hope. ***Changed some wording***

19: It allows us to meet you at the end of departure. ***This line reminds me a lot of one of Kiro’s karma bylines from his karma “Stranger”: “I await you at the end of the opposite path.”***

As 19 talked, I found myself arriving in a wider space.

We seem to have come to a place closer to the ground, surrounded by ruins. It seems that someone has been here and there have been signs of explosions.

Unknowingly, it was nighttime. The faint moonlight came in, making me a little startled for a moment.

19’s hand “gracefully” raised, and the patterns of light crossed every fragment of the ruins along the ground and merged together.

Only this time, it’s better than the magnificent picture from before, more refined and more….real.

The entire ruins turned into a theater in a blink of an eye and it seemed to be identical to our current theater.

In the center of the empty stage, there are some small but peculiar instruments that looked like microphones.

19: People of the future, there are not many things in this world that have escaped time.

19: There are many more lighthouses like this one.

19: We try to keep all of civilization in the lighthouse, hoping to leave behind the stories, voices, predictions, and music we hear.

19: We want to fight against time and prove to the world….

19: We have existed.

19: However, only one in ten million can be left behind.

19 opened its hands gently, as if embracing something.

19: But even if one person believes it, we will be successful.

19: Thank you all.

A faint melody came from the empty stage, making me freeze for a moment.

MC: This is….

Helios: It’s a song.

Helios’ voice was soft, with some unnoticeable bewilderment and doubt in his words. His always-alert expression finally began to loosen.

I listened to this song quietly. I couldn’t tell what instruments were and the rhythm itself was very strange. The obscure language and timbre are so distant that I can’t figure out the pronunciation or the content.

I don’t know what is being sung, and I can’t even understand its sustenance or calling.

But I seem to be able to tell from this song that the remote and mysterious world is very real and alive at this moment.

This song is so desperate as if gathering all the hatred. Even if the world collapses, it will leave the last trace of unwilling cry.

But it is full of hope. Even if everything is dead, it still firmly believes that it can be done again.

It carries countless eyes, straddling the endless dark night, and breaking free from hundreds and millions of years.

Finally, reaching to us.

19: Thank you all.

The melody ended. Softly, 19 repeated the phrase again.

19: This is the last song we left in this world. Now it has completed its mission and it shall disappear with me.

Helios: Play it again.

Amidst the emotion of 19, on the empty ruins, Helios suddenly spoke up in a voice that seemed particularly indifferent.

19: I do not quite understand what you mean.

Helios: The song just now, play it again.

19 shook its head, not knowing what he was thinking.

After a period of silence, the same melody and singing was played again. I stared in confusion at Helios with his eyes closed, not knowing what he was going to do.

When the music ended, Helios slowly opened his eyes. He quietly looked at the empty stage like a frozen statue for a long time.

At last, he started walking towards the stage in the middle of the ruins, with some hesitation full of contradictions and some resoluteness that I didn’t understand.

When he stood on the stage, he glanced around, kneeling down reverently and touching the stage with his fingers gently.

Clearly, it was just a projection but at that moment, I suddenly felt as if he really touched the unreachable world.

Helios stood in front of the transparent microphone, his fingers trembling slightly. He lowered his head to watch the transparent phantom and gently covered his fingers.

The cold moonlight was shining down upon his head, as if the spotlight from this world was leaning on him without any cover.

The night sky was full of stars. The theater and stage reflected by the patterns of light flickered with specks of light, which merged into a sea of stars.

Helios closed his eyes and sang softly. The melody that had just circulated in the theater now became his sonata piece.

19: This is….

He almost perfectly restored all the pronunciation and inflection. The arcane and unfamiliar language seemed to be surging with fresh vitality.

All the hatred and love, hope and despair are deeply condensed in his singing.

Helios stands in the brightest place in the world.

His entire being is glowing.

At that moment, I knew that the person standing on the stage was Helios and even Kiro.

I’ve heard that when human beings create language, they make a voice of their own to the world.

As a result, human civilization emerged and it began to expand and pass on the basis of language.

This foreign language is so mysterious and difficult to understand that even now, it cannot be explained. It seems so fragile and meaningless.

But Kiro wrote it down completely. In endless silent times, the world once again heard the voice from that distant civilization.

He is in this world, using his voice to leave a song that only belongs to that era.

He used his method to let that far-off voice pass through the long and ancient night. For the first time, it reverberated.

Helios slowly opened his eyes and stood in front of 19.

Helios: All of you still exist.

The lines on 19’s body trembled and some rustling mechanical noises broke and rang, seeming to be on the verge of losing control.

It seemed to be shock beyond understanding and calculation. It seemed to be joy.

19: Th…thank, thank you. Thank you all.

In the distance, there seemed to be light patterns stretching out and spreading towards the darkness, slowly drawing the outline of a ship, as if it was setting sail.

19: We have always believed that there is one person who is the last piece of the puzzle to break the cycle. The future we cannot push towards, maybe you can reach it.

19: Go. Go to other lighthouses. There are countless people’s research, countless people’s attempts, and countless people’s hopes.

19: After you leave, everything will automatically be destroyed.

19: We…no, the civilization of generations will always bless you.

19: May our failure be a lighthouse to guide you to the future path.

19: Until the next lighthouse, farewell for now.

As the voice of 19 gradually faded into the air, there seemed to be some mechanical clicking sound echoing leisurely in the dark.

***The introduction of the lighthouse has to be the most fascinating and interesting thing that has happened in the entirety of the MLQC story. Actually, I think it’s the ONLY interesting thing that has happened yet. So much info dump and my mind spinning. It took a whole season and 12 chapters of season 2 to finally get to the nitty-gritty stuff. There was definitely some references to Kiro’s R&S: Lonely like the sound of gears turning, countless civilizations, destruction. Plus the “roaring/crying” was mentioned before, vaguely, in season 1 chapter 17. Also, that infinity symbol (8) with all the thorns on it must represent this endless cycle of fate where these previous civilizations always seem to meet their end/destruction after reaching a certain high point and a new one is created in its place and the old one is forgotten or never existed. Hence the existence of the lighthouse- to preserve the civilization in some way and pass on its legacy to the next one. It begs the question of “why”. If anything, the world of season 2 might just suffer the same fate just like season 1. Does that mean MC will have to go back in time to save it and the guys will have to lose their memories once again? How many times will the world restart in order to prevent destruction? I don’t think I can deal with another round of that. The cycle has to end but how exactly? I’m very excited and anxious to find out more about what happens next. When is the next lighthouse?***

Alright you guys, sorry for the delay, I’ve had to restart this post 20 fucking times because my changes weren’t being saved in the draft and then I kept getting the ‘upload failed’ error. In case you don’t remember wtf is going on you might wanna re-read the last update (I certainly had to) which is apparently from JUNE 2018. Jfc I suck so hard. Now this was gonna be really long but tumblr wouldn’t post it so I’m breaking it up in 3 parts, part 2 to be posted tomorrow. Jojo cheated on Wyatt with Max Flexor and my solution to that marital crisis was to adopt our first dog ever, a puppy hilariously named Maxx.

The puppy grew up to be an asshole and is constantly beating up the cats, who have turned into giant pussies (no pun intended) and are losing every fight to him despite the fact they’re named after Mortal Kombat characters. They’re a fucking disgrace to Alegra’s/Victor’s/Ronroneo’s memory and I haven’t settled on a cat heir yet because they both suck.

Jojo is perma miserable, I don’t even remember how much money away from his 100k LTW, and still not a werewolf despite my pathologically persistent attempts to make him friends with the wolf.

Fucking useless Wyatt didn’t get promoted while Komei was alive providing us with his 100 townie friends, we spent 20 updates befriending every rando that crossed our lot to secure his promotion, and then finally on the day he was supposed to become Captain Hero, Wyatt got, of course, fired and is now on track to take longer to complete his literal career based LTW than Komei took to get 6 pets on the top of their careers.

Absolutely everyone hates noogie addict Shajar, she got a Kylo Ren makeover, and we still don’t know what her sexual orientation is thanks to her ridiculous fitness/fatness turn ons and cleanliness turn off.

Golden child/10 nice points freakshow Cyneswith grew up, rolled romance with the most disturbing turn-ons/offs possible (grey hair/mechanical & charisma turn off) and the 20 simultaneous lovers LTW.

Wulf grew up into a kid, got an Amadeus makeover, is officially a Wyatt clone and the only member of this family I don’t completely hate yet.

Now I’d like to begin the first Union post in more than a year by requesting you do me a solid and lower your expectations for this thing as far down as humanly possible. Like really try to recreate the Jules Verne classic “Journey to the Center of the Earth” with your expectations here, because my brain is so fucking fried that there’s a 20% chance I randomly start citing sources at some point during this post. lol So yeah, it’s been a while (~mumbles it like the CR cast trying not to get Copyrighted~), so I just wanted to provide yet another “brief” update at way too late at night.

In the last month or so, I have: visited a friend (like I mentioned last time); played, beat, and started an NG+ of Persona 5 (and yes, please ask me how I feel about it) even tho I’m about 3 years late to the party; seen all of Yuri!!! On Ice also about 3 years late and proceeded to buy it on blu-ray; started practicum and had both a minor existential crisis about not being able to have posters/prints with weapons in them up on my office wall and a freak-out that my supervisor is both a softball enthusiast and a major nerd (so tl;dr I’m in great company lol); gotten most of my shit put in a proper place in my new apartment, as it’s...y’know...a month and a half since I moved in; wrote a lot on my V7 OST rankings, had my laptop restart on me without saving it, and then have restarted the writing process again (ISTG when it comes to writing anything, I’m gonna have to stick to something with cloud backup options); gotten tested and come back negative for both COVID and all related antibodies (huzzah); and developed a schedule (that I’m currently violating to write this lol) to get my sleep on track so I don’t die when I leave for prac at 5:20am three days a week.

That’s a lot, I know, and that’s not even all of it, but ~ain’t no rest for the wicked~ and all that. I also just dropped way too much money on a quality turntable about 30 mins ago, so that’s how we’re doing. (Might finally get off my ass and open art commissions to make up for it...).

Throughout all this, tho, I’ve spent a lot more time with my roommates out in the common areas, and I’ve come to the realization that my online habits and social media hygiene are not the greatest. So here’s the plan. I get about half an hour on tumblr to see what I’m gonna see and then I’m done for the day. Anything pertinent that y’all want me to see, tag me in it and chances are I’ll see it. Or better yet, find me on discord and just send me a dm with a direct link cuz I’m much better about discord. I also have a few messages in the good ole inbox to take care of, but after that I’ll allot time specifically to stay on top of that as well. Otherwise, I’m setting an alarm, and when the timer goes off, I leave this hellsite for the day.

I’ve also noticed how I can’t seem to finish a fic to save my life, so tho I’m still very much invested in the Bees, I’ll be making a switch to writing some more drabble-y stuff for other fandoms for a hot minute. Maybe that’ll jumpstart the creative go-juice or something. And finally, I’m going to be getting back into streaming! I’ve only really got one day a week where I’ll have free time since classes start up again next week, but I’m looking forward to playing games on stream again :3

So, I ran a poll on my twitter about two weeks ago asking which event I should translate next, and Romeo&... won so here we are now. Everything under the cut!

At the site of Genesis’s flagship performance, Tsubasa Art Theater. Here, the troupe members undergo intensive practice as it approaches the opening day.

Gaku: “I knew it… Romeo?! Why are you here…!”

Ryosuke: “That’s my line… Julio, to think you’d you’re the one sent from RED… How can you laugh in this situation? It’s not even ironic… it’s ridiculous!”

Gaku: “Romeo, don’t you understand? This is a duel with both our organization’s reputation at stake. You do know… it won’t end until either one of us is dead, right?”

Gaku: “You were like an elder brother to me… You are the enemy who hurt Theo, yet at the same time, my only friend…”

Gaku: “Shit…. I can’t! I can’t shoot you!”

Ryosuke: ….

Gaku: Yo, Kuroki. It’s your line next.

Ryosuke: … Let’s stop for now. We’re restarting from Act 2 part 4.

Gaku: The hell?! I was just getting into the swing! There’s not much more so let’s do it till the fucking end!

Ryosuke: No, we’re stopping here. Haiba, music please.

Takuma: Ok, music is ready. Kuroki-kun, shall I?

Gaku: Tsk. I get it already! Shit… just when it was getting good too…

Ryosuke: “… Any minute now. The assassin from RED… I wonder who they sent… “

Gaku: “It’s either clearing the traitor’s name, or dying. Heh. Like hell I’ll die in a place like this. Whoever my opponent is, I will finish them.”

Gaku: “… I can see them. So, they’re the unlucky guest from BLUE, huh? Hm…? It can’t be, that’s---!”

Rei:  Sudo-san’s acting… it gets even more refined the more he practices.

Yutaro: Yeah… Rather than acting, he is close to the character himself. By repeating the negotiations right before the climax, more and more of Julio’s impatience will show itself in his lines.

Ryosuke: “My younger brother, Nicola, and your senior, Theo, has been hurt. That… is already enough victims.”

Gaku: “Stop saying that weak shit! There should be a way, if we just think together---!”

Ryosuke: …Ok. The negotiation scene, one more time, from the top---

Gaku: Hey…!

Ryosuke: What?

Gaku: Why aren’t we continuing to the next scene?! Our emotions will be all over the place doing it in chunks like this!

Ryosuke: Doing the climax now will be meaningless. As long as you have the lines memorized, that’s enough.

Ryosuke: You’re qualified enough to do that, since improv acting is your specialty. Right now, we are practicing to build the emotional lead-up toward that scene.

Ryosuke: Close scrutiny of the timing and nuance of every line is necessary in order to communicate to the audience the excitement of a controlled stage.

Ryosuke: To do that, we are repeating Romeo and Julio’s negotiation scene and carving it into our bodies-

Gaku: You said you have a good grasp of my acting, didn’t you? That also means you can kill my acting when you need to, am I right? You’re “restricting”[1] me. That’s what you’re doing, no sugarcoating.

Ryosuke: …Sudo. Your acting as of now is fully deserving of praise. But if you’re the type who feels “restricted” by doing this then, you have nowhere else to go.

Gaku: You little shit… Don’t make fun of me!

Rei: H-hey wait, no fighting!

Takuma: … Bloody hell, again? When practice gets heated this always happens.

Yutaro: I’ll go and stop them.

Rei: Woah, S-Sudo-san! You look ready to punch a dude! Don’t make such a scary face, come on, smile!

Yutaro: That’s enough, Gaku.

Gaku: Ugh….?! What the fuck, Yu?! Let me go!!

Yutaro: If I let go, you’re going to hit him, am I right? I can’t let the main role get hurt so close to opening day.

Gaku: I wasn’t gonna hurt him! I was just gonna “carve it in his body” like he wanted me to!

Yutaro: I told you, that’s not allowed. Come, calm yourself… Let’s take a short break.

Gaku: Tsk.

Ryosuke: Sudo, reassemble in 10 minutes. We’re going through Act 2 part 4 again.

Gaku: Whatever you say, dammit! Just you wait, you bastard…!

Yutaro: Phew… This conflict is a sign that all our practice is reaching its conclusion.

Rei: That scared me for a sec but… “Romeo&…” looks like it’ll be an amazing number!

1) The original jp text says 型にはめるwhich means “To beat into a mold”, but I think it doesn’t really sound good in context. There might be a better word for this than “to restrict” but if it makes sense and expresses the intent of the text I think it shouldn’t matter in the long run

soooo this is really just for personal purposes

didnt really attend the live it was just a delayed live viewing at a local cinema~

this is just based off my memory lol idk how accurate my memory is...but i trust it to a certain extent....

hnnnnn there was many izumi bros moments i kind of dieded bc wing and massu...cute...

also trigger.......kept giving fanservice im pretty sure the entire cinema hall died a million times over. there was a funny story that satou takuya told, about him posing like a “beast” on the first day that his pants ripped and on the morning of the second day, there was about 20 staff-san who were sewing his pants LOL.

SOOOOO FIRST OFF LET ME START WITH DANCING BEAT. ohoho KENN DANCING AND TAMASOU HIGHFIVE U HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THE CINEMA HALL DIED

ame and dear butterfly!! ame was like really good yo kenn and abe-san were really cool for ame, and for dear butterfly, the graphics were really cool!! like abe-san raised his hand and a butterfly on the screen “coincidentally” landed on his palm and he kind of “let the butterfly free” if u get what i mean orz. also!! mezzo mezzo amazing!! and mezzolife dome!! 

i cant remember if it was during this time when they had mc but they basically decided to show off their outfits by turning in a circle and they decided to go from riku back since they did iori first on the first day lol. massu was not very happy (jokingly). egu (nagi) did a weird turn. egu’s well, weird. abe-san (sougo) was very elegant orz. kenn did his choreography for dancing beat! wing (mitsu) wanted to look cool since he got called cute on day 1 but he failed lol in the end everyone went “kawaii!!!!!!” HAHAHA. shirai yuusuke tried to do a cool turn, took off his glasses and put them back on without facing the crowd and everyone else was like “omg did u just put ur glasses back w/o facing the crowd wyd...” massu did a cool ish turn, but everyone was kind of unimpressed lol.

another mc moment but i dont remember when was it, but onoken was like, for dancing beat’s choreo there was a part where they were supposed to have their ring finger down but he just couldnt do it lol. but he managed to do it during the song itself and he was really happy about it! what a cutie....

next is tachi and soichiro hoshi orz these 2... the choreography was really cool aaaa and they kept on hyping up the crowd non stop through their songs and when theyre just mc-ing. 

then fure fure seishun sanka aaaaa bc it was a day b4 the twins’ birthday, massu (iori) asked the audience to sing a birthday song for them aa so nice ;; and the twins had to make fun of him after they sang the song ahhahaha they’re so cute ;; their performance was really good tho aa sasuga ainana and trigger’s centre and iori....

and danshi tarumono matsuri... pythag trio + gaku were so hyped omg everyone was so hyped 

next was love and game, and mezzo’ + ryuu did a really sexy dance which had the cinema dying another million times over.....i mean it....everyone was really hyped about it though, shouting “love game!” together with them!

then they showed some memorable lines from the anime and ~cue the angst and potential spoiler~ riku having to be replaced temporarily as centre by iori bc of his asthma.........cries we all died

and they showed restart pointer after that!!!!! THEY FOLLOWED THE BEGINNING OF THE PV, SO THERE WAS /THAT/ IORIKU MOMENT YES

then sakura message!!!! abe-san was playing the piano and singing orz what a talented man for the second half of the song the other 6 of them were sitting along the steps and they sang it really beautifully orz

good night awesome showed yamato in his drama acting, and everyone kind of laughed at shirai yuusuke bc his actions kind of looked funny orz idk how to describe this

thEN RE:VALE, DECIDES TO MAKE THEIR APPEARANCE AGAIN, IN KING THRONES, AND THE ENTIRE CINEMA HALL DIED AGAIN. istg re:vale please stop killing your fans orz but they looked really majestic and soichiro hoshi made a comment that the costume looked normal on tachibana since it fit him well and tachibana joked that he wears something similar to their costume on a daily basis to work LOL

next was memories melodies, nanatsuiro realise and party time together ahahha the crowd was really engaged during these 3 songs!!! esp nanatsuiro realise~

welps then was wish voyage, which i missed a part of bc i went off for a bit, but there was a really big airplane balloon!! and it “flew off” halfway into their performance aw. i7 even commented that the airplane was “freely roaming” lol. this was the supposed end to the live!

then encore! started off with thank you for your everything, the 7 members were all so hyped aaa they were running around the stage and hyping everyone up again!!!! and they still sang so well orz these people with such amazing voice control....kenn didnt really care though lol he just shouted his lyrics HAHAHA

natsu shiyouze! lol they grabbed water guns and started spraying water at the audience which was a reason why some of them forgot to sing their parts LOL. re:vale was called out in the second half of the song!

hmm more mc, people were crying because this segment was touching and them seiyuus really know how to make a speech....most memorable for me was when egu borrowed nagi’s words and asked the crowd “are you happy?” im so weak for him...and wing cried omg i cri too.... (announcement was i7 compilation album, re:vale’s 1st album and anime second season lol)

last!!! was welcome future world, and they asked the audience to sing together with them in their last song and everyone was so happy and hyped singing along with them orz how not to sing with them when they look so happy....

then when they finished all their songs, they went around saying thank you to the entire venue, bowing and waving and being so happy and grateful to everyone when everyone was instead grateful to them for holding such a great live.....

at the end, they stood on the main stage, held hands and without their mics, said their final “arigatou gozaimasu!” and it signaled the end as the curtain(?) closed on them as they kept bending down to wave goodbye to the audience lol.

someone forget to actually look at the drawing during the coaster ride and force her to ride again and again because we all know she is not opening her eyes during the ride

or try to coax jiwon to open her eyes during the ride and watch her cry

aside from fears of heights, jiwon loves everything and everything spooky so as long as she steers clear of the roller coasters she’ll be fine and running herself crazy around the park

Was there a lot of drama in the dgm fandom in 2008? All I can remember is the ship wars

Okay my bad I mixed up the dates I meant 2009 dkjhfdf but -

Disclaimer, I was 14, I was both in the French and the English fandom of dgm - in the French fandom, I was in a general forum with a lot of guys and lots of theorizing, and in the English one I was in a roleplay community mostly focusing on the Noah Family, which wasn’t talking as much in detail about the show. I was distant to shipping, I wasn’t a shipper, but I knew a lot of shipping community in the RP community.Also disclaimer, I was staning the Noah and I h a t e d Lenalee. (I come a long way.)And, I lived the Alma’s arc. 

I will put it under cuts because man the memories, but here you go.

Notice though that at least where I was, I never experienced actual harrassment (the closest was probably the shithead of the French fandoms but I enter in details about it under cut). Honestly when comparing to some stuff in recent fandom history, it wasn’t...... The worst thing ever, but it was still a ride.

-Shipwars. Shipwars everywhere. 

In English fandoms, it was especially the usual shipwar you see. Like “guh who would ship THIS ship when you can ship THIS ship” and the usual. Since the characters of the show are mostly guys, Lenalee was seen as a threat by shipping community who hated on her because she got in the way of the ships.  Shipping any ship with Lenalee was considered bad on the mlm shippers side.

In the French fandom, as I said, I was mostly with dudes, and especially dudes who were veryyy not into mlm. (They were repeating on the forum that girls liked mlm because it “humiliated guys”, that was a Good Time :)))))) ). Even bringing up the possibility of it being gay was causing an uproar among the guys who would call you out for being perverted that way. Note tho that I personally didn’t ship anything back then. One or two girls I knew did, and they were being clashed hard.

Guys usually shipped Allen/Lenalee or Allen/Road and they would argue about it (I remember mostly calling Allen/Lenalee boring) but it was rarely the focus of the conversations, it remained a lot of theories.

Leading to the new point:

-The Alma Arc Came Out. (SPOILERS ABOUT THE ALMA ARC AHEAD)

It was a weird time. I saw a lot of people complain on both fandom that it was rushed and coming out of nowhere (while...... it didn’t). Note also that we were having a chapter every months or every two months at this point, after all the rest of the manga was weekly. And if you don’t know dgm (well check it out and check the alma arc pls) Alma is Kanda’s canon love interest, a character who's a guy, or so presenting as such/using masculine pronoums, and revealed to be Kanda’s soulmate, his lover from a past life in which Alma was a woman. (There are debates about how to refer to Alma’s gender nowadays, but back then, everyone stuck to “he” because that was what the most pushed forward for the few months of publications and his past life stayed blurry since Kanda and Alma barely remember it. It’s relevent, i promise.)

Shipping fandoms, especially people who shipped Kanda with any of the guys, were s o upset. Because they considered Alma came out of nowhere and that it wasn’t the ship they wanted with Kanda. There was uproar against it. It calmed down with the years, and people started to love Alma (thanks god, Alma is bae).

I personally was completely destroyed by this arc and loved those two right away, so I was really good with the manga’s storyline.

So, remember when I said the French fandom I was into hated the even possibility of mlm stuff?  Ye. They didn’t like it. Like istg, suddenly the DGM subject of that forum got really quiet. When, before the reveal, some people pointed out Alma and Kanda seemed really close, the guys were shutting them down, calling them perverts or Fujo (glad to see fandom never change /s) and saying stuff like we were ruining a perfectly good story and we were stupid. 

Aaaand when Alma was revealed to be Kanda’s soulmate (who was a character we were hinted at since the second arc of the manga and people theorized about a lot), the guys went upset. Either that Hoshino was a “fujo” and it was to be expected and that it was the least interesting development possible for Kanda (did i mention they all loved Kanda?? Oh the mighty have fallen. Kanda was like, The Alpha Male for them, and this arc came to an end with Kanda showing vulnerability and love for another guy, the thing those guys were always saying was the most humiliating thing for a man. I didn’t forget.). 

The fandom on this forum grew a lot quiet after it, except for a few guys who were cool with it or guys who went “well Kanda doesn’t actually love Alma since he loved only the Past life so it’s not gay” (and fuck this. that’s so much bad faith lmao), but istg that was a riot to witness.

(I say it again, I don’t intend to debate about Alma’s gender right now, and I completely understand the debate over it nowadays, and it’s just as important to discuss about it. NonCis!Alma is still something important and therefore the relationship with Kanda is a huge thing. I just want to emphasize on the fact that straight guys who didn’t want to think about gender fucking rioted because the manga presented Alma as Kanda’s male love interest, and if you don’t know anything about Gender theory, this is what you stop at - and those Guys had none of it.)

-Allen was considered boring// 14th Debates

That was something from both Noah side I was into and the French fandom mostly, of people considering Allen being annoying/Boring. Characters like Kanda were much more appreciated (Lavi kinda fell into the background with the arcs that came out at this point, although he was still very loved in the English fandom). 

So, there were a lot of theories to “make Allen more interesting” which were mostly debates to have him join the Noah for good by becoming the 14th. There were people arguing a lot about that, and the few people who actually liked Allen were kinda upset about it.

There was of course a lot of theorizing on the 14th, and the two commons theories were “Allen will join the Noah as the 14th” or “Allen will become the 14th and, Road and Tyki and they’ll create their own third side”. 

So let’s say those people were annoyed when the 14th appeared and told he wanted to become Millenium Earl instead of Adam. Oops. 

Mostly I know there was a lot of disappointment about Nea’s introduction and the fact that it’s more a case of “Nea will remplace Allen” instead of “Allen will become a Noah”. A lot of the guys from the forum I mentioned weren’t too happy with that development, and complained about it a lot (and the further infos on Nea didn’t please them much. The latest theory group I mentioned tho were overjoyed when Tyki and Road came to free Allen though).

-Noah VS Exorcist Wars

I suppose it’s more a question of preference there, but at least in the RP community I was into, and lowkey in the French fandom, there were tons of arguing depending on which side you were rooting for. Both sides could get extremely rude and mean to each other, and it could result in the fandom with an obvious bias on who people were cheering for.

There were very few people cheering for a 3rd side (I was mostly Noah but leaning to 3rd Side, nowadays I can’t even feel myself in any sides,i’m just “please take care of those children” side), and this was usually the neutral part of the fandom.

Honestly, on me who wasn’t a shipper, and mostly on non-shipping groups? This was our shipping wars. That was what people were getting angry at. Who you were siding with.

-Lenalee Hate, which doesn’t exist in this fandom anymore right? /s

I plead guilty there because I was totally among those ones, and that’s probably why i’m so upset when I still see it nowadays. 

People hated on Lenalee for a brunch of reasons, either because she was in the middle of their ships, or because she was considered “useless” and “whiney”. The complains about her violent attitude only came a lot later tbh??  I know I didn’t like her among other reasons for that, and because a lot of characters liked her and it made me upset, and a lot of people were like that tbh. 

She got shit then, she still gets shit now. Back then though I remember at least in Roleplay community that Lenalee was always the punchline of a joke, and people roleplaying Lenalee could have a hard time with people being rude to them.

That’s honestly the most that I can remember, and honestly it was probably just the communities I was into, but I especially remember the end of the Alma Arc with the Dudebros. Like I think on tumblr we tend to forget fandoms weren’t always that opened with this kind of stuff, and that regardless of how people regard the Alma’s arc nowadays, it was huge back then. 

Everyone kinda fell out of the fandom in the following time since it’s when the big hiatus started to appear, leading to the 3 years haitus in 2012 (?). Between the Alma Arc and then, the fandom really died down and people moved on on most parts. 

On tumblr, at least when the manga restarted, a lot of people who used to be in that Old Fandom had tried to not reproduce shipwars/hatred stuff all that much. I wouldn’t say we’re out of problems though, of course, and there are still some... casual issues. (like when the last chapter came out on Mangastream the comments were flooded with slurs because people considered the chapter “too gay”, and I even saw back some of the old “Allen is boring, let him be remplaced by Nea already” fight. me.)

the fandom. The writing world is much bigger than romance centered or smut fics. I've seen some really good writers that aren't in any fandom but write for the sake of writing and get hundreds of notes. It goes to show that there still are literature lovers out there who simply love a good piece of writing without romance or certain characters/people to pull them in. I admire those writers very much. And I guess I'm saying this now because its sad to see a writer w so much potential stop [2/?]

I’m literally crying??¿ you were are, for real, 1000% truly, with no doubt, one of the first writers in this community that i admired. i saw you as one of the more popular and famous ones so when i one day got noticed by you (i don’t remember how that happened) i was asjdklfjaklsjglösjDKLFJA LJL flipping out because i got noticed by one of my faves?!!?!?! your works has always been an inspiration to me and i often read them when writer’s block hit me because your writing style is so good and it captures the reader instantly and i aimed to write like that, that’s why you are such a role model to me when it came to writing. 

i really do love writing stories, not just smut or fanfics, and it’s one of those things i can’t never give up no matter how many times i leave it, you know what i mean? after a time, maybe months or years, i would always come back and restart my hobby as a writer. so who knows, maybe i make a random comeback when we’re both old grannies lol but thank you so so so so much for your words and warm messages. (istg i got so excited when i saw them i needed to recover for two days before i dared to read them lol) i will keep remembering them as i move on and see them as a possible motivation to maybe start writing again soon :) 

and like you do, i wish we could have talked and get to know each other more, since- especially since we’re mutuals but even if we didn’t, i felt really honored to have as a mutual and for your acknowledgements of my works. Okay so now that I've beat the main game of dr2, y'all are more than welcome to send me asks about it, whether it's omo/other fic stuff or just chatting about it in general! That being said, I have NOT played through: Mo/nomi's fights against the beasts, the Alternate Story Mode, or read the IF light novel that just unlocked. So please stay away from those. I also managed to miss every fanservice scene's trigger despite having 3 whole Man's Nuts in my possession smh, gonna have to replay just up until those points eventually There are also several routes I missed which I would prefer not to have spoiled. (The characters I managed to max out in my playthrough were, in order: Ma/hiru, P/eko, Gu/ndham, So/nia. Then I got 2 or 3 fragments from Ch/iaki before the plot wrecked my chances. I don't think I spent any free time with anyone else.)

Important question: Do the free-time storylines match in the Alternate Mode (like they'll still mention the same backstory stuff they would if you spent time with them in main game), or are they completely different? So that I know if I'd need to replay the main game later on/watch different playthroughs to learn those other routes or if I could do everything in Alternate.

And a second question out of curiosity: In the part of the last trial where you have to pick between Hope (first sentence) and Despair (last sentence) and all your bars are glitching, does anything happen if you actually shoot one? I let it all run through so I could read everyone's dialogue first thinking it would let me restart like most of those go, but then got sucked into a whole looping cutscene because H/ajime refused to choose. I imagine that was the main one anyway bc Plot Reasons, but could you actually get smth else like an easter egg type scene if you chose the first time? Or would the gun not fire or Haji/me just say some variation of 'no I can't do that' and then jumps into the 'I won't choose' spiel/scene anyway?

Also that looping scene gave me a mini heart attack at first istg lmao. I really thought I'd somehow fucked up my entire game after over 60 hours the way I got P/5's Bad End the very first time I played because I misinterpreted Sae's question ajfkhl c':
