it breaks my heart to think about wwx because you’re really starting to see how much he doesn’t have a place anywhere, even in the jiang clan because he was adopted. so many times he’s reminded that he isn’t one of them even if the three of them do see themselves as siblings, and how everyone is quick to turn their backs on him and you just see in his eyes every now and again how he’s just waiting for it and how slowly he’s distancing himself from everyone because of it. like during the hunt when you see jyl stand up for him against multiple members of the jin clan who constantly tell her he’s not one of them, that they “aren’t really siblings”, and that there’s an evilness to him. he just wants someone to stand by him and not turn his back on him but fate is already written and most of them will.

Kiss Cam - MM7
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mason wants his girlfriend to meet his parents. But little does she know, more than just his parents will be meeting her.
Tumblr media
Waking up, the sunlight gently shining into your room. Your brain replayed the last few scenes of your dream, something about a walking tree, before they were loose forever. Stretching, you noticed the lump in the bed was still there. The lump being none other than your boyfriend.
His back turned away from you, you delicately wrapped your arms around his shoulders, as he hummed with the contact of your cool hands on his warm back. You gently kissed the two freckles just below his neck, as he turned around to face you.
Mason’s brown eyes, like a burning hearth on a cold day looked into yours, as he mouthed “Good morning.” to you, before you too mouthed “good morning.” back.
He pulled you closer into him, and your head rested against his beating heart. A heart that beat for you.
“Did you sleep okay m’love.” Mason mumbled, his cheek buried into your hair, as he placed a soft kiss on it.
“There was someone annoying me all night.” You mumbled against his chest, feeling his laugh before you heard it.
“Fine then. If that’s how it is.” Mason giggled before pretending to push you off of the bed, before he quickly pulled you back into his chest safely.
“Mason!” You squealed, as you felt your leg go over the edge.
“If it’s not the consequence of my own actions.” He laughed, his hand rubbing up and down your back.
You two sat in a comfortable silence.
“I slept just flawlessly.” You said to him, answering his question.
“Yeah? I slept just exquisitely.” Mason said back to you, wiggling his eyebrows.
Your relationship was fairly new, the pair of you dating for half a year. Yet at the same time, your relationship was definitely not new. Mason and you had met at school, when you got paired together during food tech and had to make apple crumble together. After a visit to your head of year and a ban on any further participation, it was safe to say, you’d found a new friend. Eventually that friendship turned into a crush, and 4 years later, a relationship.
“I need to shower. But it’s so lonely.” Mason said, poking your back lightly. “So so so lonely.” He finished, kissing your cheek with every ‘so’ he said.
“Is that your way of asking me to shower with you? Very smooth Masey.” You giggled into his chest as he pulled you impossibly closer.
“Is that you saying yes?” He said, significantly quieter than before.
“Yes.” You nodded again this chest.
Mason rolled on top of you, so that you were underneath him, his hands on your hips. Before they snaked up your body as he began to tickle you.
“Mason stop!” You said, your whole body squirming underneath him. Before long, you were both breathless with giggles as he stared down at you, before dramatically lifting his wrist to check his none existent clock.
“Oh look it’s time to shower!” Mason said, before he got out of bed, and tugged you down by your feet, before you wrapped your legs around his waist as he kicked the door open with his foot.
✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯
Stepping out of the bathroom, making sure not to slip on any water, Mason quickly followed behind with a towel around his waist.
“You should come to the match today.” He said, as he pulled on a pair of boxers.
“Mase you know I’d love too but-” You stopped, unsure of what really was holding you back from going.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to. I wouldn’t pressure you or anything.” He said, coming over to you and wrapping his arms around your waist. You snuggled into his chest, as he brought his arm to your head.
“Baby please, i’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. I just thought it would be a good time for you to meet everyone.” He confessed.
Meet everyone? What did he mean by that?
“Meet everyone?” You said, peering up at him.
“Yeah everyone like mum, dad, Lewis and whatever. Mums been doing my bloody head in, ‘Mase you can’t keep talking about her and not expect me to by dying to meet her!’” Mason said, imitating his mum, which made you laugh.
“Yeah. I’d love to. I need something to wear though, I was planning on staying in my pajamas the whole day. Wait. What if they don’t like me? What if they ask me football questions and I don’t know them? I still don’t get the offside rule. Or omg, what if they think i’m with you because of money-”
With every word that left your lips, Mason’s eyebrows moved either up his face before he eventually cut you off with a kiss. Grabbing our thigh lightly, he directed you to the bathroom counter, which he placed you on, before slotting himself between your knees. His hands rubbed your thighs lovingly, as he just stared at you, making you blush.
“They. Are. Going. To. Fucking. Love. You.” Mason said, lightly placing a kiss on your lips for every word he said.
“I’m finally doing it. I’m meeting the parents.” You giggled, scratching his hair slightly.
“I love you.” He said.
“I love you too.”
✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯
Mason gave you one last goodbye kiss before he made his way to the stadium. It was the last match of the season, so there would be a few surprises. Chelsea posting a teasing video on their instagram of a camera quickly moving around before stopping at two people. You and Mason had debated over what it could be, both having no real answer.
“My favourite part of the game will be getting my well done kiss when we win.” Mason said cheekily before he left. You lightly slapped his butt before he left, blowing you one last kiss.
Pulling a Mount jersey on, you were ready to go.
✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯
Sitting in Mason’s box, you tapped your foot anxiously waiting for his family to arrive. When the door suddenly opened, you got up and turned around to see his mum and dad standing there. His mum immediately seeing you, and pulling you into a hug.
“Oh I’ve heard so much about you Y/N! You’re even more beautiful in person than what Mason described!” She gushed, as you felt yourself blush.
“Where are my manners? I’m Y/N. It’s so lovely to meet you, I’ve heard a lot about you too. Was warned about this one especially.” You joked, nodding your head towards his brother Lewis who gave you a hug.
“You’ll come to learn i’m the better Mount in this family.” He joked.
“I think you’ll find that, that is myself.” His dad joked, pulling you into a hug too.
You settled into a pleasant conversation, automatically feeling at home. You sighed in content as out came the players, and out come your boy.
✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯
Football Mase was completely different than the Mason at home. Cheeks burning red, and a short temper, you watched him argue with the referee, his hands telling the story colourfully. His usual calm, kind eyes were a fiery hot, and you would be lying if you said you didn’t like it.
As the full time whistle blew, and Mason proving his statement earlier on correct, they did win. And during his lap of applause, a voice boomed out of the speakers.
“Ladies and gentleman, we would appreciate if you could take your seats as quickly as possible.”
Unsure of what that meant, you settled back into your seat, making eye contact with Mason as he too shrugged his shoulders, not knowing what was happening.
The stadium went dark as the crowd oohhed and what was happening. Green, blue, purples lights danced around the stadium before the words “Building Bridges at the Bridge.” appeared on the screen, as the crowd cheered, unaware of what that meant. The stadium went dark again, before ‘Kiss Cam’ appeared on the screen, with pictures of both Mason and Kai with pouty faces moved on the screen as well. You laughed, as the camera whizzed around, stopping on Ben and Reece who stood unaware on the pitch.
Reece, who pulled a face when the crowd laughed soon realised what was happening as he pointed at the screen. Ben laughed too, before Ben kissed Reece’s cheek, making the whole stadium laugh.
The game went on, and the ooh’s of the stadium increased when couples were chose. You too laughed along with Debbie, until your laugh was stole from you when you seen yourself appear on the screen, along with a random man sat beside you. He gave you a sheepish look, one that you returned back.
You seen Mason bite his lip, before he said something and began to climb the barrier, as he began to run up the steps to his box.
As he got into the box, he quickly span you around and dipped you into a kiss, as you felt the whole stadium erupt in cheers. As you smiled into the kiss, he helped you back up.
“Guess we’re not so secret anymore.” He winked.

unless you like that — daniel ricciardo
Tumblr media
summary – it’s events season and the alcohol is flowing.  rating – a whole lotta smut 18+ (sex scene, course language, drinking) pairing – daniel ricciardo x you (female reader) word count – 3.8k of absolute filth a/n – bit of plot but mostly just sex because drunk, flirty danny ric makes me feral. that's it. enjoy the ride. masterlist
Tumblr media
All you wanted to do was drag Daniel back to your hotel room, get reacquainted after a couple of torturous weeks of being apart, maybe run a hot bath and enjoy the rest of your night in peace.
In your dreams.
You never really had Daniel for long during the season and because of that, you wanted to make the most of your time actually being in the same country, let alone the same city. But your handsome, social butterfly of a boyfriend had other ideas – ones that didn’t factor in your desire to have him all to yourself.
So good to see ya too, mate.
We’ve gotta catch up next time you’re in LA, man.
Maaaate, long time no see!
How’s ya mum going? Tell her I said hi.
The mum's bloody loved themselves a bit of Daniel Ricciardo.
The long, doting line of people wanting to wish Daniel good luck for next year and praising his strength through adversity while getting a sneaky selfie was never ending. To put it plainly, it was obnoxious but you were used to it now. He was effervescent, charismatic – a big ‘ol magnet to anyone and everyone. You loved him endlessly, admired his ability to smile through the pain even more but all you wanted to do was say goodnight to everyone and leave.
Barely two words were shared before you were whisked off in a car and through the doors of this swanky restaurant – the private function room and bottomless champagne making it less excruciating.
“All I can think about is getting this over and done with so I can come back here and rip this unbelievably beautiful dress off you.”
Those ‘barely two words’ were enough ammunition to last you a couple of hours, holding onto the hope of that promise coming true. But right now you had to try and enjoy the night and put any filthy thoughts you may or may not be having aside for the sake of your own sanity. Smile and wave.
You didn’t know exactly what the party was for but you knew that the McLaren team were the ones throwing it from the obnoxious amount of orange balloons hanging from the ceiling – and that Daniel was obliged to attend. But you would never have guessed that he was there as a contractual obligation the way he floated through the room, saying hello to every last individual, bright smile adorning his face. He made each and every person feel like a million bucks. That’s why they loved him, because he made them feel at ease – like he was one of them.
Daniel didn’t think there was a whole lot for him to be celebrating but he always underestimated how loved he was by McLaren – racing problems aside, he was adored by the staff who were devastated to see him leaving.
And somehow in a room of nearly a hundred people, he knew nearly everyone by name, zeroing in long enough to have them eating out of the palm of his hand.
Your words, not his.
“Could you say hello to my grandson – he loves you.” An older lady asked, phone locked and loaded for the video. God help him if he said no.
“Absolutely.”
Of course he said yes. That was the kind of person Daniel was. Not a people pleaser or a push over – just a genuinely nice guy with more patience than anyone you’d ever known.
After making your way around most of the room, you finally had a second to drink in your man. The freshly steamed, light blue linen shirt was lazily buttoned over his shoulders, leaving a the tiniest bit of chest hair showing for good measure and to tease you, no doubt. He’d gone for his classic black skinny jeans sitting atop a pair of shiny black dress shoes look that you loved and those wild curls that you’d spent hours twirling between your fingers flowed onto his forehead – he looked so fucking good.
His charm and kindness always had you singing his praises and you made sure he knew how wonderful he was, how attractive he was. Your soft whispers of admiration had his heart pumping as he took a sip of his Chateau Margaux red, lips quirked in a smile. “So sexy.”
“Which part of all that was sexy? The bit where I filmed a video for that women’s grandkid? You are an absolute deviant if that’s makin’ ya feel a certain way, my girl.”
Daniel loved to tease, especially when it garnered that kind of reaction. Rolling eyes, flushed cheeks and a gentle shove in the arm. He fucking lived for it.
“No, dickhead.” You scolded under your breath, “Just… you being you. I don’t know what it is.”
You couldn’t put your finger on it but you knew how it made you feel. Seduced.
“Maybe you can figure it out in our hotel room.”
Daniel shrugged with a smirk lining his lips, nonchalantly throwing out the idea as if he hadn’t been plotting a way to leave the party early. Wishing for nothing more than to have you praising his other set of skills, if you catch my drift. Rolling your eyes with flushed cheeks but in a very different context. He was twitching at the thought as his fingertips lightly scratched at the silky material covering your ribs, dragging your body closer to his.
“Don’t tempt me, Ricciardo. All I’ve wanted since the second we got here was to leave so don’t talk a big game if you can’t deliver.” You were whispering in his ear, hoping to spur on those scheming eyes staring back at you.
“When have I not delivered? Just call me FedEx,” He joked, swaggering away from the bar and waving to Lando who had just rocked up with his crew in tow.
“Do we even know what this party’s for?” Lando asked over the loud music blasting through the speakers, taking the smallest step back after he gave us both a hug hello.
Lando looked dapper compared to his usual hoodie and track pants ensemble that he'd wear around the track. He was slightly confused by the overt extravagance he’d walked into but he was always smiling your way, making you feel welcome. You were going to miss his cheekiness and the way he brought out a different side to Daniel. Mischief always seemed to follow those two.
“Probably just a way for McLaren to swing their dick around before the end of the season,” Daniel shrugged, completely oblivious to how crude his comment was. Thankfully Lando was more than used to it now after working so closely with him so you didn’t have to apologise on Daniel’s behalf.
“The wine’s ace though.” He quickly added.
“You would say that,” Lando replied, snickering quietly as he looked over at the bar, “Might actually grab a drink and come back. Want anything?"
Lando looked between you and Daniel as you both shook your heads until he turned away and disappeared into the crowd, “Kid’s not gonna know what hit him next year – being the golden boy isn’t what it’s cracked up to be…”
You nodded and watched Daniel’s eyes following Lando, pensively taking a sip of his wine before sighing and glancing back to you, “What?”
“Nothing,” You tutted, “It’s funny how much you care about him now after how rocky the relationship was in the beginning. I love that he’s softened you a little bit, made you less of a prick.” You winked.
The insincere insult tacked onto the end made Daniel’s thick eyebrows rise with faux hurt, an exaggerated gasp masterfully added for emphasis, “Me? A prick? I wouldn’t reckon a prick snags a girl like you.”
You watched as Daniel sculled the rest of his wine, a devilish smirk hiding behind the large glass, “No chance. Unless you like that.”
“I don’t hate it.”
Daniel's laugh was dark as he took a step forward, lessening the gap between the two of you before reaching up and brushing your hair over your shoulder, “Now you’re tempting me and that’s not fair.” He whispered into your ear, carefully placing his empty glass on the table beside you.
“Nothings really fair though, is it? You having to be here instead of buried deep inside me, fucking me until I –”
“The bar line’s a fucking ‘mare,” Lando loudly interrupted and caused you to jump back from Daniel’s side. You steadied yourself on his hip for balance as you watched Lando plot his next move.
“Oh, there’s Charlotte – she’ll have an in!”
You and Daniel politely nodded again while he shot off in the other direction, and the two of you shifted away from the middle of the room, out of view of prying eyes and into a private nook. Daniel was quick to pin you up against the wall, large hand pressing into your hip as you looked up at him with innocent eyes. He could see right through you.
“Don’t give me that look,” He growled, eyes narrowed. “Look at what you do to me.”
His whispered words and flickering eyes encouraged your hands that were playing with his slightly parted shirt to travel further south, fingertips tracing over his dark denim jeans that were a lot tighter than when he first got here. Almost too tight.
“You are fuckin’ cruel, sweetheart.”
The painfully hard outline pressing against your palm intoxicated your already foggy mind, mouth watering. You could feel your thighs magnetically pulling together as his thumb flicked the dimple in your chin, forcing you to look into his dark, misty eyes that were watching your every move.
"Want me to do something about it?" It was a bold question to ask, a dangerous one, even when you noticed his eyes change colour. They were blacker than the night sky now.
Daniel was exasperated, anguished by the question as he smiled and dipped his forehead onto yours. The answer was obviously “abso-fucking-lutely, get down on your knees and show me you love me” but he knew better. And so did you. Still, the warm puff of air from his laugh still sent surging chills down your arched spine, needy for his touch.
“I hate sayin’ no to you,” He rasped and closed his eyes for a fleeting moment, “Especially when I know how fucking good you feel but no. You can't.”
You dryly chuckled and brushed your hands over his puffed out chest, “Must be absolute torture, my boy. Thankfully I can hide how I’m feeling – you? Not so much.” You replied with gritted teeth and a shrug, smirk dancing on your lips.
“Yeah, you’re fuckin’ in for it later, mate.” He playfully retorted before pulling himself from your grasp and leaving you with what he thought was a threat, but what you took as a promise you hoped to God he would keep. You were soaked. to. the. core.
The expensive champagne continued to flow freely for hours and several glasses of wine later had you and Daniel fumbling around at your hotel room door, unsure whether you’d arrived at the right number and having absolutely no idea where the key card you barely remembered giving him had gone. It also didn’t help that Daniel’s lips hadn’t left the crook of your neck while you dug through your clutch, his fingers inching closer to danger with every passing second.
“Lemme see your pockets,” You huffed and shoved your hand into his jeans pocket, causing a loud shriek to slip from his lips.
“You’re just tryin’ to touch my dick!” He shouted, louder than he expected and definitely louder than you accepted as appropriate, even in your drunken stupor, "You can if ya want."
“Shuuuush!” You hissed, trying not to laugh as Daniel gazed up at the ceiling and reached into his back pocket, searching until his eyes lit up with excitement. “Ah-huh!”
“Thank god – now hurry up and fuck me please!” You whisper-yelled, praying for the sweet sound of a door unlocking.
“Alright, ya horn-bag. Give me a sec- ond… Shit!” Daniel paused and looked back at you with wide eyes, “Wrong room.”
You could faintly hear the sound of footsteps behind the large door in front your shocked face. Before you could even muster a response to his mortifying revelation, Daniel had you in his grasp, dragging you down the hallway, panting and hoping he had a plan. He always did.
“Room 1001 – not 1011,” He coughed through his laughter, hovering the keycard over the lock and finally revealing the room we’d left nearly 5 hours ago, “Home sweet home.”
“Shut up,” You mumbled, throwing your arms over his shoulders and jumping into his embrace. Daniel groaned at your sudden burst of energy and hoisted you up on his waist, mouths instantly attached and desperately trying to defy physics.
Your vision was blurry when you pulled away for air, lips still touching, noses knocking and your hands still roaming the expanse of Daniel’s broad shoulders. You could feel him moving you further into the room that was spinning, the ceiling fan still whirring above your head. That was the first thing you saw when you landed on the messy hotel bed and left for dead by Daniel who was chuckling at the foot, watching you lay back in defeat.
“I’m stupidly drunk.” You huffed.
Daniel nodded as you looked up at him through hooded eyes, “So, so drunk.”
“Not that drunk.”
Your pointed finger and wiggling eyebrows told him exactly what you were referring to, lip bite and dark eyes forever selling you out.
“Take off your pants.” You ordered.
Daniel’s grin dropped into a smirk as you propped yourself up on your elbows, encouraging your boyfriend to give you a little show. Tipsy or not, Daniel knew what you wanted and he’d move heaven and earth to give you whatever you asked for. A heat rushed across his chest as he gazed down at you, undressing for him. The silky satin dress slipped off a lot easier than it went on, a detail not going unnoticed by Daniel who was slowly unbuttoning his shirt, moaning at the sight of your white lacy thong that you knew he loved.
“Killing me.”
“You love it, baby.”
“I live for it.”
The banter was hot, if not hotter than the actual sex. Foreplay was your forte but you weren’t in a ‘building a narrative’ kind of mood. It was primitive now – the primal need for a release outweighing the desire to fuck around with each other. That was the kind of fun best saved for the morning. You were already looking forward to that.
“Look how wet I am for you, Danny.”
Daniel growled as he kicked his jeans off, boxer briefs attached as they flung across the room, discarded with his wrinkled linen shirt. He stood for a moment – naked, painfully hard and begging to be touched before crawling up onto the California king. You could feel him throbbing as he brushed up on your inner thigh, legs open and wrapped around his waist in a matter of seconds. Lips attached again, frenziedly needing for more.
“Give it to me.” You pathetically pled.
“I wanna taste first.”
You resented his love for you in that moment. Resented that he wanted to indulge in what you had to offer, when all you wanted was the main course. The sharp huff that slipped from your lips made Daniel chuckle into your inner thigh, sloppy kisses followed by tiny nibbles, undeniably revving you up but also making the pout on your face that much more noticeable.
“You’re sexy even when you’re mad,” He almost slurred, closing the gap between you and his indescribably proficient tongue. Hot breath fanning over what you could only imagine was your glistening pussy. Ready for him to enjoy. Fuck.
“You are a fucking drug. A sweet, delicious drug that'll be the death of me.”
Daniel hummed before flattening his tongue against you, loving eyes locked on yours before your head tilted back, throat barely squeaking out a moan. He lapped and lapped and lapped away at you, paying close attention to the way you curled up when the tip of his nose slipped over your clit, your moan changing in pitch. He was always in heaven devouring you like this, until he was somewhat satisfied. He wasn’t selfish and he knew what you wanted, even if he could’ve stayed like that until the sun came up. Feasting.
“Daniel, please.”
“Full naming me when I just wanna make you feel good is mean, baby.”
Daniel was playing. And you were teasing. He loved hearing you moan his whole name – his mind reeling back to the time you screamed out his full name as you came, subsequently rushing him to his own finish line. Exploding.
“I wanna cum around your cock. That’s all I want,” You sighed and finally opened your eyes, clutching and admiring at the sprinkling of chest hair. Daniel was drunk, but not drunk enough to not realise how lucky he was to have you spread out beneath him, pleading for him to fuck you into another dimension.
“Your wish is my… demand? Command? Your wish is my something,” Daniel couldn’t quite find the saying in the midst of his excitement, and you couldn't hold back the fit of laughter as you threw your head into the pillows.
“Smooth, Ricciardo,” You giggled as you felt his slick tip teasing your hole, fists clenched beside your head and a smirk the size of the equator on his face.
“Well how does it go then, smarty pants?” Daniel nodded his head and gently sank into you, revelling in the feeling of you engulfing every inch he had to give while he watched your eyes roll into the back of your head, waiting for your answer.
“I –” You stammered, adjusting and sucking in a sharp breath, “I have no… No idea, and I don’t… fucking care.”
Daniel chuckled as his wispy curls fell into his eyes, watching you lick your lips and gather yourself. You were blurry in his vision, the alcohol now really pumping through his veins as he gripped your hips in his large hands, palms perspiring and brows following suit. Your fingertips trailed from his chest down to his pelvis, skin hot to the touch and tattoos glistening from sheen of sweat covering his perfect body.
“Fuck me just like that… Oh my god.” You snapped open your lust filled eyes – blazing flames erupting in Daniel’s as they caught yours.
“Feels fuckin’ good, ey.”
It was a rhetorical question but you nodded anyway.
Daniel was huffing and puffing as your lips tried to find his, hands cradling his slacked jaw. Drunken sloppy sex was one of your favourite genres and it’d been a hot minute since you’d found yourselves with the taste of red wine still lingering on your tongues, fucking like animals. He was thrusting hard until he noticed your hand crawl down to where your bodies met, the delicate touch slowing his movements and capturing his undivided attention.
“Oi,” Daniel breathed and sat back on his knees, still warming in your tight pussy. Your eyebrows quirked with intrigue and a small smirk tugged at the corners of your lips as he grabbed your hand and guided it up to his mouth, eyes never leaving yours. Fanning the flames deep inside.
His tongue swiped across your soft fingertips, making sure each one was dripping wet with spit before sliding them back down between your trembling thighs, “Bet that feels better, huh?”
“Mm-hmm. Much better,” You managed to moan out as he wrapped his arm around your lower back and angled your hips up to his cock, watching himself slowly slide in and out while you circled your clit, edging yourself closer with every touch.
Daniel picking up the pace meant he wasn’t far from his high, the tell tale signs were consistent and always a dead giveaway. The flush of red creeping up his neck and veins bulging under his taut skin was the first sign. Filthy words whispered into your ear was the second and grunts vibrating in his chest as his focus was pulled to you and only you were one of the final ones before he couldn’t hold on any longer.
But he never left you high and dry. Not in a million fucking years.
"Right fucking there, Danny!" You shouted, oblivious to your screams almost certainly alerting the neighbouring room. Even if you were conscious of the volume of your voice, you couldn’t have cared less. Your man was putting on a show and you’d be damned if you didn’t make sure he knew how good he was giving it to you.
"I'm right there..."
"Cum all over my cock, beautiful."
You squealed into the pillow you’d been gripping, scrunching your nose at how fucking good he felt filling you to the brim. Daniel eased your thrashing body through the shockwaves, making sure you felt every last writhe of pleasure – every nerve set alight by the fire burning in your stomach as that perfectly tied knot quickly unravelled. He was holding on for dear life, cursing how tight you felt coming around his aching cock.
"I need to see your face, baby. Look at me."
Daniel’s raspy voice snapped you back to reality as your hips rocked violently against his. That and your blown-out pupils boring into his was enough to send him tumbling over the edge, unloading everything he had and more.
Daniel clutched your shuddering thighs with his searing fingertips as he bucked one, two, three times and placed one of his shaky palms against the hotel wall, trying to catch his breath as he filled you up. Your eyes were lazily shut, slowly regaining some semblance of consciousness and clawing at the skin on Daniel’s abdomen – attempting to soothe him through his high. Selfishly, you were too caught up in your own that you’d forgotten he was even still there. You'd make up for that later.
For now, you were in bliss. Laboured breathing filled the comfortable silence as you searched for one another, floating back down to the real world.
"Come back to me," Daniel teased quietly as a sly grin swept across your face, eyes closed and skin still tingling from his hot touch. He fell beside you and rolled off the bed in search of something, anything to clean up the mess you’d made together.
"I think I've died and gone to heaven," You whispered back, earning a hoarse chuckle in return. Daniel looked like a mirage on a hot summers day when you opened your eyes and watched him exit the en suite, tissue box in hand.
"What a review."
Proudly boasting after sex was a regular occurrence with Daniel and you loved it; encouraged it even. He chucked the tissue away and practically tripped back into bed, still tipsy and feeling the full effects now that he wasn't under your intoxicating spell. At least for now, anyway.
He flicked off the lamp and sent the room into complete darkness before you felt his warm arm snaking around your naked waist, pulling you into his pounding chest. You were exhausted and almost numb from the long night but satisfied above all else. Thirst well and truly quenched.
You could always rely on Danny for that.

𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐈 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐓𝐎 [𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄] — 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐘 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐘 𝐁𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐃
Tumblr media
summary: as you struggle to accept Lucy Gray's absence, Mayfair continues to push your buttons, landing you in hot water with your parents.
warning/s: mentions of the Hunger Games (duh) and mild violence.
author's note: here is the final part! also happy new year everyone, forgot to say it! hope you like this one :)
one / two / masterlist / wattpad
Tumblr media
It was difficult to keep up with the Games as they went on during the week. I'd never had need to before, but this year was different for obvious reasons.
The electricity in District 12 was shit enough as is, but even worse so was the signal on the TV when it did occasionally work. I caught the Games and interviews a few times, but not for very long and never did I actually see Lucy Gray, only some of the other tributes or very dark scenes of the arena. She could have died already for all I knew, but deep in my heart, I just couldn't believe that.
I tried to be there for the Covey as much as I could, checking in on them at least once a day throughout the week, and they did the same for me, the lot of us forming a sort of support group. And I also had Y/BF/N to keep me sane throughout it all, but the only people who didn't understand my change in attitude were my parents. I couldn't blame them of course, considering they didn't know what Lucy Gray was to me, but it was still hard.
One evening at dinner time, my appetite wasn't very big. It hadn't been since Lucy Gray had left, but it was beginning to be ruined entirely when my dad started talking about the Games as a pastime.
"...keep getting a bunch of comms from the Capitol about how popular it is this year," he was saying, a mere comment but one that upset me because all I could think about was Lucy Gray. "Apparently Lucy Gray is a popular contender. The Capitol love her singing."
My fork dropped from my hand as a frown curled on my lips. How dare the Capitol love her, only to send her to her death for their entertainment.
"What's wrong?" my dad asked, but my mum shook her head at him. Not seeming to get the hint, he said, "What? She's been off all night. I'm just asking."
She shook her head again, making him sigh with offence, and I couldn't take sitting here for much longer.
"Can I please be excused?" I asked without looking at either of them.
"Of course, honey," my mum said sympathetically, and I was grateful that she seemed emotionally aware enough to notice something was up.
Leaving the dining room immediately, I headed straight for my bedroom and got straight into bed, needing the comfort and warmth of my duvet. It was lame to imagine it was Lucy Gray here with me, I knew it, but I did it anyway.
I should have said it back. Why didn't I say it back? I knew I loved her, I had loved her for a while now. How couldn't I? But I didn't say it and I fucking should have. God, I was a fool.
About twenty minutes later, a knock on my door pulled me from my disassociation, and when I didn't answer, my dad stuck his head through the door. Once he spotted me, he let himself in a took a seat at the edge of my bed, a guilty expression on his face.
"I'm sorry," he said, which surprised me. "I've been so busy at work that I haven't realised how hard it must be seeing one of your schoolmates in the Games."
That wasn't it at all, but I shrugged anyway.
"She was a friend," he noticed. "Wasn't she?"
I couldn't answer, not without my heart breaking at the truth of who she was to me.
He sighed gently. "She was bad news, Y/N."
I clenched my jaw at his biased opinion. "Forget it–"
"Wait," he cut me off. "Let me finish."
I looked up at him, glaring, but he didn't let it faze him.
"She's bad news, but she was still a good girl. And I'm sorry for what she's going through," he said, in his strange way of trying to understand.
It was the best I would get from him, especially since he didn't know the truth, so I accepted it. "Thank you."
He leaned down to hug me, and like the little girl I was, I let my daddy comfort me like he used to.
"Me and your mother are worried about you," he said once he pulled back. "Please eat more."
I nodded reluctantly. The last thing I wanted to do was worry them. He seemed to accept my answer, as he relaxed a little then left me to get some sleep.
Once again, it was a difficult night.
Tumblr media
She could still be alive, that was what I kept telling myself. The Games hadn't ended, not that I knew of, and though I didn't truly know if she had died in the few days it had been going on, I kept telling myself the opposite. She could still be hiding from everyone, or somehow got lucky and taken out her opponents. I wasn't sure, but thinking anything else was breaking me.
I was at the markets with Y/BF/N, helping her pick up some bits for her parents and trying to keep myself busy so I wouldn't be thinking of Lucy Gray, when none other than Mayfair decided to piss me off.
"Well, if it isn't Y/L/N," she said with amusement, Billy Taupe at her side. "Haven't seen you around much. Not since your little songbird left."
I rolled my eyes and ignored her taunting, not in the mood to put up with her. Y/BF/N ignored her too, the two of us looking at some shirts for her mum, but Mayfair wasn't getting the hint.
"You're lookin' a little rough," she continued. "Not doin' so hot without her?"
"You okay?" Y/BF/N said quietly for me to hear, and I nodded.
"She won't be doin' much singing in the arena, I suppose," Mayfair added. "Other priorities and such."
"Will you shut up?" I snapped at her, knowing she wasn't going to leave if I didn't speak.
"Or what?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, as if daring me.
I clenched my jaw, glaring at her, but Y/BF/N squeezed my arm gently.
"Forget her," she reminded me, and I would have listened, but Mayfair didn't know when to shut up, and I just couldn't take her attitude anymore.
"It's where she belongs," she said, my final straw. "She's not so charmin' when she's dead–"
I smacked her hard across the face, making a few passers-by stop to witness the commotion, and Billy Taupe and Y/BF/N gasped with surprise. It felt good, I wouldn't lie, especially when I saw the redness on Mayfair's cheek.
Mayfair glared fiercely before lungeing at me, sending me backwards into the vegetable stand. The breath was knocked out of me, and then she yanked on my hair harshly, making me scream at the suddenness of it all. I shoved her backwards and she grabbed my jacket in the process, forcing me to get out of it before she could have me in her clutches. Furious, I lunged for her with every intention to punch that smug smile right off her face, but someone blocked my way and held me at bay.
It was a peacekeeper, and they were doing the same with her, and I wouldn't have doubted she was my mirror at the moment – angry and red-faced.
That was how I found myself sat in my dad's office for the second time in my life, though this time Mayfair was seated beside me, and her father was here too.
"...and it doesn't make sense why you were both fighting!" my father was saying with confusion. "You're both friends, aren't you?"
I scoffed at that, crossing my arms defensively. The mayor shook his head with disapproval, before looking to his daughter.
"Are you gonna tell me why you fought?" he asked her, opting for a gentler approach.
The two of them had been trying to get to the bottom of our fight for ten minutes now, but neither Mayfair and I were willing to talk.
"Why don't you tell them why you got bitch slapped?" I finally spoke, looking to Mayfair with a sneer.
"Y/N!" my dad scolded, but Mayfair spoke up a second afterwards, meeting my glare.
"Why don't you tell your dad why you're so upset about the chosen District 12 girl tribute this year?"
I pressed my lips together to contain every insult that was threatening to be said, instead settling on burning holes into Mayfair's face. Neither of us spoke, knowing we couldn't admit to anything, even if we wanted to get each other into trouble.
Everybody knew Mayfair had something to do with Lucy Gray's reaping, but there was no physical proof, and her admitting why she was fighting with me in the first place would be all the evidence my dad needed to intervene. Similarly, my dad could never find out exactly what Lucy Gray meant to me and why I was so defensive against Mayfair. So, we were at a stalemate.
"Fine," the mayor decided, sounding tired. "We'll agree to disagree, but this behaviour is not tolerated."
"You'll avoid each other if you have to, but I don't want to see this happen again," my dad ordered.
I rolled my eyes as Mayfair scoffed under her breath. We were soon dismissed, escorted home separately, and though my mum tried to get the truth out of me, I was unwilling to share it. I was just surprised I hadn't received a punishment from my dad, especially when he came home later that evening. For whatever reason, he let it slide.
I'd just have to avoid Mayfair, it seemed. Easier said than done, but it was better than ripping her head off out of pure anger. I'd never hated someone so much in my life, but fighting her wouldn't bring me back Lucy Gray, no matter how much I wanted it to.
Tumblr media
It was a few days later when I was bringing some tea into my dad's study, per my mum's request, when I saw him ending a phone call with a surprised look on his face. I set the tea down on his desk before glancing at him with concern.
"You okay?" I asked. "Who was that?"
He blinked, as if still digesting whatever he'd heard. "It was the Capitol. Apparently I'm to escort home the winner of the Hunger Games."
I furrowed my eyebrows, unsure if I'd heard correctly. "What? You're what?"
"That songbird, your schoolmate, Lucy Gray Baird," he clarified. "She won."
My breathing hitched as I widened my eyes. Lucy Gray had won? She'd won the Hunger Games? She was alive?
"Lucy Gray– she's coming home?" I asked, feeling the rate of my heart increasing with every piece of information discovered. "When?"
"Tomorrow morning," my dad answered, taking the cup of tea.
Tomorrow. She was coming home tomorrow!
"The Covey," I got out, struggling to contain my excitement, bewilderment and surprise all at once, "do they know?"
My dad quirked a brow at my reaction. "I'll be sure to let them know. I'm sure they'll want to be there at the station when she arrives."
Oh, they were going to be so happy to have Lucy Gray back! How I wished I could see their reaction when my dad told them. And tomorrow morning – I could be there too, when they greeted her at the station! I could finally see her and touch her and hold her and–
"You know you won't be there, right?" my dad burst my bubble in seconds. "I know I said she was a good girl, but this changes things, Y/N. She's dangerous. Who knows what she did to win the Games? How many kids do you think she killed in there?"
"As many as she needed to," I said sternly. "It was the Games. That's how you play them."
He shook his head, disagreeing. "I want you nowhere near her or them. You hear me?"
"I go to school with them," I reminded him through gritted teeth.
"You know what I mean."
I swallowed thickly, in disbelief that he would create a villain of her for something she was forced to do. But what was I to expect from a man who never trusted the Covey in the first place? Sure, they were good for a party, but to have them in your circle was a different story. I hated that he thought that.
No, there was no way he was going to stop me from seeing her. Not after she finally made it out alive.
Tumblr media
My dad wasn't joking when he said he didn't want me at the station to greet Lucy Gray. As if he expected me to disobey him, he left some peacekeepers to guard the area, only letting the Covey there to pick her up.
I had no choice but to wait not far out from the station, out of sight from the peacekeepers but directly on the only route back to their house in the Seam, so they'd have to pass me to get home. The Covey knew of my plan, so I found myself waiting there eagerly for Lucy Gray's arrival.
No matter how hard I tried to plan what I would do and say once I saw her, nothing seemed right. I decided to just let it be and do what felt right in the moment, but just the thought of seeing her again after a whole week and a half which felt like much longer left me nervous.
I checked my watch. 10am. Her train should have been pulling in now. I made sure I looked somewhat presentable before waiting another ten minutes, and then I heard footsteps. I turned around and saw the Covey, all chatting away with Lucy Gray in the middle.
She looked stunning, a little underweight, but with that same positive glow that only she could possess with a single smile. Already, tears were forming in my eyes because I was finally seeing her again in person, it wasn't my dreams.
Her eyes soon found mine and she slowed down, smile fading once she realised it was me. I wet my lips, straightening up subconsciously, and approached her.
"We'll give you a minute," Barb Azure said, squeezing my shoulder with a relieved smile, before leading the others away.
I glanced at them, before returning my attention to Lucy Gray, who was single-handedly warming my heart. She was back. She was alive. I hadn't missed my chance.
Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around her tightly, eyes closing as tears dropped down my cheeks. "I love you too," I muttered into her shoulder. "So much."
I felt her arms wrapping around me too, and then she began to laugh quietly, sending shivers all over my skin. I didn't let go, not for a whole minute, and neither did she. Never again did I think I'd be able to hold her so close, let alone tell her I loved her too.
"You did it," I said, pulling back slightly, and I realised she was crying too.
She nodded in response, and I lifted my hand to cup her cheek, thumb wiping away her tears.
"I'm sorry I couldn't see you at the station," I said quickly. "My dad said no and he had guards there so I couldn't–"
She cut me off with a kiss, brief but delicate, making the fireworks in my chest explode at the contact.
"I missed you so goddamn much," she said once she pulled away, resting her forehead on mine.
"I missed you too," was all I could say, and even then it didn't feel like enough.
The way I missed her was indescribable. A part of me had been missing this whole time, and now that she was back, I felt whole again. I couldn't lose her again, I just couldn't.
Tumblr media
Losing Lucy Gray and being lucky enough to get her back only made me realise one thing: life was too short to hide what meant the most to you. And though Lucy Gray was adamant on not causing trouble between my family and I, happy to be my secret, I just couldn't take it any longer.
Sneaking around and lying to my parents wasn't worth it, and Lucy Gray deserved so much better than that, especially after all she'd faced. So, I finally had the guts to tell my parents the truth.
About a week after the Games ended, I found my parents sat in the living room, the one day off my dad had which meant they were both present.
"Mum, dad, I need to tell you something important," I said when I found the courage.
My mum, who was reading a book, looked up at me, sensing my nerves. "Honey, you okay?"
I nodded, then stood in front of the couch before them. My dad lowered his newspaper and quirked a brow, both confused and intrigued by my entry.
"I just need you to listen before you reply," I said carefully. "Please, don't be angry."
"Well, now you're worrying us," my dad said, straightening up in his seat. "You in trouble?"
I shook my head, before taking a deep breath. "So, you know Lucy Gray, the girl who–"
"Won the Hunger Games, yes we know," my dad finished for me.
"Your school friend, right?" my mum asked.
I nodded. "Yes, she's... she's much more than that though." At this, my dad raised both his eyebrows, so I quickly added, "I know you wanted me to stay away from her and her family, but they aren't bad people. They're just a little different. They only have each other."
"That's not an excuse for the things they get up to," my dad retorted, but my mum nudged him and shot him a look that told him to pipe down.
"Thanks," I said to her gratefully, before continuing, "So, yeah, Lucy Gray. Well, the thing is..." Now or never. "I'm in love with her. And she's in love with me. And I don't want you to hate me or be disappointed, because I can't help who I'm in love with."
My dad wore a blank expression, as my mum was surprised and tried to digest my words. I stayed quiet for a moment, giving them chance to process and also calm my racing heart.
"Being in love with her doesn't change a thing," I explained, unable to stay quiet for too long. "I'm still doing well in school, still on track for the job at the Justice Building, but I love her. And I want to be with her without having to hide it from you both. She's more than a friend, always has been."
My palms were growing increasingly sweaty as neither of them said anything, and I soon wondered if I'd spoken at all because of their silence. But then my dad stood up and glared at me, and I knew it was real.
"Are you crazy, Y/N?! Lucy Gray?! You're in love with the Covey girl?!" he yelled. "What the hell are you thinking?!"
"Y/D/N, calm down–" my mum said, standing up too.
"Calm down?! She's throwing her future away for nothing!" he shouted, before shaking her hands off and leaving the room suddenly.
As the echo of the door slamming filled the silence, I hugged myself uncomfortably and waited for round two with my mum.
"Give him time," she said softly, surprising me. I looked up, and she rested a hand on my shoulder. "I'm proud of you for telling us the truth. Couldn't have been easy with your father's attitude."
I blinked, sighing with relief. She wasn't angry.
"Lucy Gray seems lovely," she added with a warm smile. "It's a shame that she was picked for the Games, but her positivity hasn't faltered, that much is clear. She's strong."
"She is," I agreed, still in disbelief that my mum wasn't upset with me.
She pulled me in for a hug, squeezing me gently. "I should've known it was something more when you were acting all weird when she was gone. I'm sorry that you couldn't trust me."
"It's not you," I assured her, pulling apart. "I just wasn't sure how to say it, knowing how dad feels about them."
"Oh, I'll sort him out," she said dismissively. "Now come here. I wasn't finished with the hug."
I laughed, letting her pull me in for an even tighter embrace.
Tumblr media
"You gonna tell me what the surprise is or are you just gonna keep dragging me behind you?"
Lucy Gray scoffed dramatically at my words, not stopping as she dragged me by the hand, leading me to the meadow. "It wouldn't be a surprise if I just told you, would it, darlin'?"
I tried not to laugh at how easily frustrated she could get with my impatience. Ever since I'd told my parents the truth about us, of which my dad eventually came around to the idea thanks to my mum, I no longer had to sneak around with Lucy Gray. And today, she'd quite literally dragged me all the way from my house and out here to the meadow for a 'surprise'.
After much playful protesting from me and groaning from Lucy Gray, we finally reached her favourite spot at the top of the meadow. A giant tree sat on the brow of the hill that overlooked the whole field, with another log beneath it that Lucy Gray loved to visit to write songs or be alone. Already waiting for us was her guitar, propped up against the log.
"Am I about to be serenaded again?" I teased, making her roll her eyes playfully.
"Shut up and sit down," she ordered lightheartedly, and I laughed as I did just that.
She grabbed her guitar before sitting next to me, facing me slightly. Really, I'd been eager to hear her sing for me since she did last time (which now felt like so long ago). Since she'd been back from the Games, she'd returned to performing in the Hob as usual, of which I'd watched with adoration. But this was different, less of a performance and much more intimate than being on a stage could allow.
"So, I don't know if you remember that song I was writin' for you before... y'know," she began in an uncharacteristically shy voice, "but I finally finished it."
"Lucy Gray, of course I remember," I told her with a small smile. "It's the best thing anyone's ever done for me."
She began to smile too, nodding. "Right. Well, like I said, I managed to finish it. And I'd like to sing it for you, if you'll let me."
I nodded encouragingly, getting comfortable on the log and admiring her as she also got ready. Licking her lips, she began to strum her guitar, starting off quiet before settling on a rhythm that was dreamy and delicate and soothing.
"Love songs are fleeting,
but the melodies stick with you.
I have learned your heart,
and memorised the tune.
It's my favourite,
I'll sing it in any occasion.
It'll be my soundtrack,
beyond our youth."
Just like she did the last time, her voice was soft but strong, quiet but powerful, and her eyes were closed as she felt the meaning of every word. Even after hearing it a second time, I was hanging onto her every word, eager to hear the rest.
"Honey now we're older,
but we'll never age.
I don't think my love will
ever start to fade.
My attachment to you
isn't subject to change.
My heart’s yours forever
and always."
She gave me a comforting smile that sent a warmth all over my body as she finished the chorus, and I didn't know what to do. Her words were beautiful, and I felt too lucky to have someone who felt that way about me.
"Every note you hum,
is a classic through and through.
I'll add them to a list called
'All Things I Look Forward To'.
It's my favourite,
even if no one will play it.
I only want a future
filled with you."
Again, even after hearing it a second time, I was in awe. Tears of happiness pooled in my eyes as she moved onto the chorus again, her voice smooth and stunning, lulling me into her trance. She hummed as she played, building up to the bridge, and I never wanted her to stop.
"I'll sing it it still in 10 years time
20, 30, 99.
I'll dance as long as I can stand,
partner for life take my hand.
We'll set the record for strongest love,
keep the vinyl free of dust.
Spin it soft eternally
and my dear you'll sing with me."
I wiped at my tears, embarrassed and simultaneously unbothered because nobody had ever made me feel this way before. She saw a future with me? She'd looked that far ahead and saw me by her side?
"Honey now we're older,
but we'll never age.
I don't think my love will
ever start to fade.
My attachment to you
isn't subject to change.
My heart's yours forever
and always."
She kept playing, notes as delicate as they were at the start, and hummed along until she faded the whole thing out, and then we were sat in silence as her words carried into the meadow.
"So, what do you think?" she asked, her shy smile returning as she set the guitar down.
"What do I think...," I repeated quietly, still reeling from her song. "I think that I didn't expect you to beat what you sang last time. That, surely, you couldn't improve it. But you proved me wrong and did just that."
She let out a chuckle, rolling her eyes to distract from the pink dusting her cheeks.
"Lucy Gray, I think you just made me fall even more in love with you, which is a feat considering I'm already in way too deep," I said lightheartedly, but I meant every word.
She wasn't sure what to say, and I couldn't think of anything more to add that would show her how she'd made me feel. So, I leaned forward and I kissed her. Resting my hand on the back of her neck, I pulled her close, pressing my lips to hers and sighing contently when she fell right into it.
I could have kissed her all day, but air became a problem and I remembered what I wanted to say to her.
"The song," I breathed out, meeting her honey-golden eyes. "What you said? It's the same for me too. Forever and always. I feel the same way. It's beautiful, Lucy Gray."
As if that was what she'd wanted to hear, her shoulders relaxed and she smiled beautifully. "I'm so glad you like it, Y/N."
I mirrored her smile before leaning again, this time taking it slower and appreciating the feeling of her so close to me. It was a feeling I was certain I could never forget.

Tumblr media
Jake and Bradley had never been a couple to argue. They had a ‘let’s agree to disagree’ mindset when it came to anything the two could potentially make a spat out of. When kids at your school complained about their parents arguing you couldn’t help but feel bad for them because your dad and Bradley never argued. You knew arguing was commonplace between most couples and you were sure that your dad and Bradley would argue at least once during their relationship and all you could hope was that you wouldn’t bear witness to it.
One day, while Jake was out with Coyote, Payback, and Fanboy, you and Bradley decided to head to the nearest park and have a walk around to enjoy the warm spring weekend. The park was bustling with parents and children, couples, and the elderly. It seemed as if everyone had the same idea as you and Bradley, not that you’d complain about it, it made you happy to see so many people out and about. You watched as parents swung their children in between them as their child shrieked with laughter, you saw couples having picnics, tossing grapes at each other to see if they could catch them in their mouths, and you saw elderly people sat together by the pond, tossing grain out for the ducks who greedily darted to the food as they quacked noisily.
“Did you ever do stuff like this with your parents? Go to the park?” You ask curiously, looking up at Bradley to gauge his reaction, worried you might have upset him with the words you didn’t think about before they left your mouth.
“Parks, very rarely, I was more of a beach guy, my parents too. According to my mum, my dad had to drag me almost kicking and screaming from the beach when it was time to go home.” Bradley chuckles, reminiscing on the faint memories he had with his parents.
“Your parents sound like they were lovely people. I wish I could’ve met them.” You say, smiling softly at Bradley who lifts his hand and ruffles your hair with a smile of his own.
“Oh, they would’ve loved you. My mum especially.” Bradley says as he surveys the park, watching a dog bounding across the park as its owner tosses a ball across the grass. He had always wanted a dog growing up, maybe he’d speak to Jake about adding a pet to the family.
“I bet I would’ve loved them too.” You reply, your smile not fading as you look back across the park. You and Bradley continue your walk, admiring the sights and the birds flying overhead. As you walk through the park, you begin to head down some steps to walk along a lower path of the park but just as you near the bottom of the stairs, your ankle rolls and you tumble down the remaining stairs, hearing a crack from your right arm as it shot out to try and stop your fall.
“y/n! Are you hurt?” Bradley said worriedly, darting to your side and crouching alongside you as you cradled your arm and blinked back tears.
“My arm hurts, I heard it crack. I think it’s broken” You say, fighting to keep your voice from wobbling at the pain. Bradley pulls his hoodie off, using it to make a makeshift sling to keep your arm still, apologising quickly when you wince in pain.
“Just your arm? Nothing else? You didn’t hit your head or anything?” Bradley asks, avoiding touching your arm as he scans you over for any other injuries.
“My ankle hurts a little, but my arm is the worst.” You admit, leaning against Bradley as he eases you up onto your feet. Glancing around you see concerned onlookers who glance away the second you make eye contact with them and continue on their way.
“Can you walk? We should get you to the hospital and the Bronco is almost a five-minute walk away.” Bradley asks softly, watching you wince as you accidentally jog your arm.
“Yeah, I can walk. I’ll be fine.” You say, trying to assure Bradley that you’ll be okay. With a slight nod, Bradley leads you to the Bronco, carefully helping you into the front passenger seat and helping you plug in your seat belt before rounding the car to get in the driver’s seat.
“I’ll call your dad when you’re getting treated. I don’t want him to worry too much.” Bradley says as he begins driving to the hospital, fighting the urge to speed the whole way there. He was silently dreading Jake’s reaction to this. You were the most precious thing in the world to Jake and he’d shoot into overprotective dad mode whenever you were in a situation where you could get hurt. Bradley also knew how Jake reacted when you were hurt.
“It’s dad. He will worry no matter what.” You say with a weak smile as you glance over at Bradley who shakes his head with a soft laugh, trying to alleviate his concerns.
It didn’t take Bradley long to drive to the hospital, helping you out once he parked and leading you into the building. He approaches the receptionist and explains what happened and the receptionist simply hands him some paperwork and a pen and tells him to fill it out in the waiting room. Bradley heads with you into the waiting room and sits down in one of the uncomfortable seats and stares at the paperwork in front of him. You provide him with the answers he needs and not long after finishing the paperwork, a nurse enters the waiting room and calls your name.
“You go on ahead, kid. I’ll call Jake.” Bradley whispers, pressing a kiss to the top of your head before you get up and follow the nurse. The second you leave his eyesight, Bradley pulls his phone out of his pocket and calls Jake, the call rings through to answerphone so Bradley waits for the beep so he can leave a voice message.
“Hey, Jake, I just wanted to call and let you know that y/n had a fall while we were in the park, and I reckon she broke her arm. We’re at the hospital now and they’ve taken her off to I assume get an x-ray and sort her out. Just give me a call when you get this. Love you.” Bradley says into the phone before hanging up and letting out a small sigh. Bradley remains sat in the waiting room, anxiously bouncing his leg, and fighting back memories of stuffy hospital waiting rooms he often spent time in during his youth. After what felt like hours, a nurse stuck her head into the room and called Bradley’s name, making him leap out of his seat instinctively.
“y/n is just fine. Her arm is broken but it’s being put in a cast as we speak. We just needed to grab you so the doctor can go through medications and care with you.” The nurse explains as she leads Bradley through various corridors to the room you were in, arm outstretched as the staff tended to it, putting it into a plaster cast.
“You okay, y/n/n?” Bradley asks, easing down into a chair next to you and studying you carefully.
“Yeah. They’ve given me some pain meds, so my arm doesn’t hurt as much.” You say, looking over at Bradley who nods with a soft smile. When the doctor finishes putting your arm in a cast, she turns to look at Bradley as she grabs her clipboard.
“You must be y/n’s father, correct?” The doctor asks, looking at Bradley who glances at you nervously.
“Yeah, he’s my dad.” You answer for Bradley, smiling up at him before looking at the doctor who nods.
“Okay, we just need to talk to you about caring for the injury. We’ve prescribed some medication and we have a care leaflet here about making sure her arm heals well and the cast remains undamaged. If y/n experiences any pain that isn’t being combated by the pain medication come back and we’ll see what we can do.” The doctor explains, handing Bradley a leaflet as you get up from the chair. Bradley thanks the doctor and signs some extra paperwork that needs signing before being allowed to take you back home. As you pick up your medication, Bradley checks his phone and fights back a frown at not a single notification from Jake. He figured Jake would’ve listened to his voicemail by now and would’ve either texted him or called him back. Bradley sent another message through to Jake as the two of you exit the hospital, letting him know that you were heading home. Bradley helps you into the Bronco and drives back home. As you enter the house, you kick your shoes off and turn to face Bradley in the hallway.
“Can I go for a nap? These painkillers are wiping me out.” You admit with a slight yawn.
“Of course, y/n/n. Just make sure you prop your arm up on a pillow or something. I don’t want an army of angry doctors coming my way on the first day.” Bradley chuckles as you roll your eyes but nod regardless. Bradley watches you head upstairs before heading into the living room where he sat down, and his leg began bouncing rapidly at the lack of response from Jake. He tried to put the tv on to distract himself and after almost half an hour his phone pinged with a message from Jake.
‘I’m on my way home.’
The message was blunt and to the point and Bradley immediately knew that he may be in trouble. Bradley knew that Jake was probably speeding the whole way home right now and that he would be envisioning the absolute worst. Before too long, Bradley heard the tell-tale sign of Jake’s truck pulling into the driveway and then not long after, Jake came barrelling into the house, making Bradley leap up from where he was sitting.
“Where is she?” Jake asks, panic evident in his voice as Bradley approaches him.
“She’s up in her room having a nap. She’s fine so we should just leave her be for a moment.” Bradley says as Jake barges past him, heading up the stairs with Bradley hot on his heels. The second Jake reaches your room he opens your door and sticks his head in your room, seeing you lying fast asleep on your bed. Relieved to see you okay, he closes the door before rounding on Bradley.
“How did this happen? Penny lets me and the others use her boat one time, and my daughter gets hurt and I don’t find out until I’m back on land.” He asks harshly, glaring at Bradley whose eyebrows knit together in confusion.
“I told you in the voicemail. She fell down a couple of steps and broke her arm when she tried to break her fall.” Bradley explains.
“And you didn’t try to stop her from falling?” Jake says angrily, his glare intensifying.
“It happened so fast, Jake! By the time I realised she was falling, she had hit the floor. I did what I could. I took her to the hospital and got her the treatment she needed. There was nothing else I could’ve done.” Bradley retorts, defending himself from Jake’s anger.
“Bradley, in letting you in my life all I ask is you look after my kid, and you couldn’t even do that!” Jake said, his anger reaching an all-time high.
“Jake, that’s not fair. I did everything I could have done in that situation. y/n is fine. Yes, she has a broken arm, but she was smiling and talkative before she went up to bed. Nothing has happened to her apart from an injured arm. It’s still your kid in there.” Bradley says, fighting the urge to raise his voice.
“I can’t be doing this with you. I don’t think I can even look at you right now.” Jake scoffs, making Bradley’s heart ache at the harsh words.
“I see. Well, if you need me, I’ll be at Phoenix’s.” Bradley says, moving around Jake and heading downstairs, grabbing his keys, and jumping into the Bronco while Jake remains rooted in place. After taking a couple of deep breaths, Jake enters your room and perches himself on the edge of your bed as you blink your eyes open.
“Hey, dad.” You say with a small smile which Jake couldn’t help but return.
“Hey, sweetheart. Are you feeling okay?” He asks softly as you nod.
“The pain meds are doing their job. Where’s Bradley?” You suddenly ask, propping yourself up on your good arm and glancing behind your dad as if Bradley would pop out of nowhere.
“He’s downstairs.” Jake lies, reaching out to brush a stray hair from your face.
“Don’t lie to me dad. I heard the two of you arguing outside. What did you say to him?” You ask, glaring at him in a way that Jake could only assume was the way he was looking at Bradley just moments prior.
“You wouldn’t understand.” Jake says dismissively, not wanting to tell you about what happened.
“I bet I would. Now tell me what happened.” You demand, making Jake fall silent before he sighs heavily.
“Bradley let you get hurt so-”
“So you yelled at him? Dad, are you serious?” You cut in, your glare intensifying as you process what happened.
“y/n, in being part of our life he should be looking after you.” Jake attempts to justify his anger.
“He did look after me. He took me straight to the hospital and was there the whole time. He has all the details about my medication and how to care for my cast and injury. Do you? I guess not because the first thing you did when you walked through the door was yell at him.” You spit, angrier than you’ve ever been before at your dad. Jake remains silent at your outburst, giving you time to speak once more.
“Put yourself in Bradley’s shoes for a second, dad. Imagine I was Bradley’s daughter, and I was out with you, and I fell and hurt myself. How would you feel?” You ask, watching as Jake processes your words.
“I’d feel bad. Like I could’ve stopped you from hurting yourself if I was quick enough.” Jake replies, looking down at your duvet.
“Okay, now imagine you were feeling like that and then the second Bradley got home he yelled at you and made you feel even worse. Because that’s probably how you made Bradley feel.” You say, making Jake feel awful for the way he had treated Bradley.
“Dad, I know you were worried about me and that’s okay. But you can’t treat Bradley like that for something that wasn’t his fault. I know you love Bradley, and he loves you too. Don’t let this argument ruin your relationship.” You say, wiping your eyes quickly so your dad doesn’t see your tears, but Jake sees them.
“Oh, sweetheart. This argument won’t ruin our relationship. Yes, I was angry at Bradley, but I won’t be divorcing him over this.” Jake says reassuringly, helping you sit up properly before sitting alongside you, wrapping an arm around you carefully and pulling you into his side as you fight back more tears.
“You promise?” You ask through tears, looking up at your dad as he runs a hand up and down your back.
“I promise y/n/n.” Jake promises. He had learnt in raising you that he shouldn’t make promises he couldn’t keep. But his relationship with Bradley was important to him, and he knew he’d be an idiot if he let Bradley go after one silly argument. Jake knew he was in the wrong, that he let his protectiveness get too much and he took it out on someone who didn’t deserve it. Someone who took his daughter in like his own and cared for her when Jake wasn’t around.
“You just relax up here, okay? I’m going to call Bradley and see if I can talk to him. Then I’ll cook us up something to eat.” Jake says once you’ve calmed down enough to form coherent thoughts. He watches as you wipe your eyes once more and nod, allowing Jake to detangle himself from you. As Jake stands up, he presses a kiss to the top of your head before he heads downstairs to call Bradley. Once Jake reaches the living room, he pulls his phone out of his pocket and unlocks it and finds Bradley’s contact, staring at it for a minute before pressing the number and holding the phone up to his ear. The phone rang for what felt like forever, Jake could imagine Bradley sitting watching the phone ring while Phoenix told him to ignore the call. He couldn’t even be mad if that was the case, he knew he deserved it.
“Hello?” Jake was taken aback to hear Bradley’s voice, having fully convinced himself that Bradley would let him go to voicemail.
“Bradley, hi.” Jake breathes, failing to come up with anything else.
“Can I help you?” Bradley replies, a clear exasperation in his voice as he speaks.
“Can I talk to you?” Jake asks, biting his bottom lip as he awaits a response. He hears Bradley move away from the phone, mumbling to Phoenix before returning to the phone.
“Okay.” Bradley says simply.
“What?” Jake says, not expecting Bradley to just talk over the phone.
“You wanted me to talk to you so I’m talking to you.” Bradley replies and Jake could only imagine him sitting back against the sofa with that cocky eyebrow raise of his.
“I mean, come home. I want to talk to you face to face.” Jake says, hoping that Bradley agrees. Jake hears Phoenix whispering to Bradley before the phone clearly gets handed over.
“Listen here, Bagman, you better clean up this act of yours. I get that y/n got hurt but it was out of everyone’s control. If I ever find out that you’ve spoken to Bradley like that again I’m going to fuck you up so bad, you’ll never be able to fly again.” Phoenix threatens, making a shiver crawl up Jake’s back at the intensity of her words. He knew Phoenix’s threats weren’t empty. He knew how close Phoenix and Bradley were and how fiercely protective they were of one another.
“I wouldn’t expect anything less Phoenix.” Jake manages to reply, grabbing the tv remote and turning the tv off when he finally registers that it’s been left on all this time. Jake hears shuffling on the other end of the line and the jangling of keys.
“He’ll be over soon.” Phoenix says quickly before hanging up, leaving Jake pulling the phone away from his ear and staring at it as he held it limply in his lap. Jake sat in silence as he waited to hear the familiar sound of the Bronco pulling up outside. When he heard the rumble of the all-familiar vehicle, Jake shot to his feet, his phone clattering to the floor at the sudden movement as he wrings his hands nervously. Bradley enters the house and locks eyes with Jake who has moved to stand in the living room doorway, his eyes red-rimmed, a clear signal he’d been holding back tears.
“Bradley, I am so sorry for what I said. I was scared and I took it out on you, which I should not have done. You looked after y/n and got her the treatment she needed. You’re a perfect parent for y/n and we’re both so lucky to have you. Now I don’t expect you to forgive me straight away, y/n needs you and she ripped me a new one when she found out what we were arguing about. I know I don’t deserve you Bradley, but I’d be a fool to let you go.” Jake says, clearing his throat slightly after speaking to try and hide the emotions. Bradley remained silent for but a moment before he took a step forward and took Jake’s hand in his.
“Jake, I’m not going anywhere. I don’t appreciate the way you spoke to me, yes, but I know your anger came from a place of worry. y/n’s the most important thing in your life and I get that. Just, if there’s a next time, I’m with y/n and something happens, please trust I’ve taken care of her as best I can. I love that kid so much and I’d move heaven and earth to keep her safe so please don’t assume I don’t care about her because I do.” Bradley says, letting Jake know how he feels about everything. Jake nods slightly, blinking back more threatening tears.
“I know you love her, and I was so stupid to even think you didn’t. y/n was so worried when she learnt about the argument. You mean the world to her, and you mean the world to me too. We can’t lose you.” Jake says as Bradley tugs him ever so closer.
“You Seresin’s are stuck with me.” Bradley says softly, his small, yet loving smile crossing his face.
“Aren’t we lucky to be stuck with you, Bradshaw?” Jake teases, smirking in response as Bradley tugs him into a kiss, the two men relishing in each other’s embrace.
“Are you two okay now?” The two men jump apart at the sound of your voice where they see you standing on the stairs, a cocky smile on your face as you look at them.
“Yes, we’re okay now.” Bradley says, both him and Jake extending an arm out towards you so they could bring you into a group hug. After hugging for a moment, Jake pulls away, clapping his hands together and looking between you and Bradley.
“Alright, I’ll cook us up some food. I did promise, didn’t I, y/n?” Jake says looking at you as you nod, eager to have some of your dad’s homecooked food. Jake then heads to the kitchen with you and Bradley following. As you and your dads occupy the kitchen, you watch with a smile as Bradley turns on the radio, serenading your dad in his soft voice as Jake prepares what he needs to make a meal. You watch the two men with a smile, grateful that you had both of them in your life.

alright before I look at the tumblr tag for top gun 1984 or 1986 or whatever I can’t remember lemme take a wild flipping guess as to what tumblr thinks of the movie. Alright. Guess taken.
Now, I’ll just check the tag aaaaaaand- yep it’s all ice x mav content. so glad we all saw that completely unsubtle full-body scan up and down. When in the movie did that happen you ask? Uh. Like every time they’re both on screen I’m sorry men are allowed to be aggressive and competitive and also friends but not those men. Those men made me shift uncomfortably in front of my conservative parents. Those men made me more scandalized than the actual sex scene. Those men were 👌 this close to aggressively making out onscreen and when I brought it up literally all my parents said was “well men don’t act like men anymore no wonder you think it’s gay” my parents in Christ they were staring at each others lips. Their faces were within four inches of one another that is not enough room for Jesus. If men used to act Like That in public I think we may have as a society actually gotten straighter. What the heck. (also the emotional core of the movie re: Mav’s and Goose’s relationship was amazing 10/10 loved that entire arc I did enjoy the movie but Dang. I had to get that off my chest somewhere where I knew people would get it-)
Edit: I didn’t even mention The Bite TM. What the hell. I brought it up and all mum said was “well you’re not supposed to like him during that scene, of course it makes you uncomfortable.” Mum it’s not making anyone uncomfortable but you. Everyone else is checking their blood pressure. If it weren’t for my parents’ insistence that this movie was straight I’d have absolutely no idea how this movie got past censors. The power of denial is incredible.

gone wrong (jimmy darling) x (fem!reader)
Tumblr media
Y/n was a very lucky girl, her family accepted Jimmy into their lives without judging him. They even liked being in his presence, they told Y/n that this right there was the right man for her. To say the least, she was delighted. They met when Y/n went to the freakshow on her 18th birthday. Jimmy stared at her while he was performing his act, admiring her beauty. His eyes filled with lust just looking at her, and he finally took the courage to ask her out after the show.
Today they were going out to celebrate their 3rd year together. Y/n quickly applied her lipstick and grabbed her purse running down her stairs. You saw at the bottom of the stairs that Jimmy and your mum were chatting.
“ Oh, there you are Y/n! Now come on, don’t keep Jimmy waiting any longer “ your mother hurried you
“ No worries Ms y/l/n, never rush a lady getting ready “ he quoted, making them both laugh
“ Nice talking to you Jimmy, have fun you two! “
“ We will! “ Jimmy shouted on the way out
Jimmy opened the door to the passenger seat, letting you slip in before closing it. He sat on the driver’s side and started the engine, putting one of his beautiful hands on your thigh while driving. You both had a whole karaoke session during the drive to a restaurant, jamming out to all your favourite songs. That's the thing you like about Jimmy, you can be who you are with him. You were always comfortable with him because he made you feel at home, he was your home.
 ─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You reached the location of the restaurant and when you were about to exit the car jimmy uttered.
“ Give me a minute darling, my lady shall never open her door herself “ you turned to see Jimmy shoving his hands into his mittens.
Looking at the scene made Y/n mad, Jimmy had a low esteem of his image because of his hands. He thought he was a freak for having them, but you beg to differ. You loved them, it’s what made him special. They are beautiful. So you tugged it off his hands.
“ Come on we both know that you shouldn’t be doing this anymore, your hands are gifted you just have to embrace them “ seeing Jimmy trying to argue back, you interrupted him.
“ Nope, I love them so it doesn’t matter what other people think " you advised, kissing his cheek.
You held his hand while walking into the diner, so he could feel that you weren’t ashamed to be with him. Finding a seat, you sat down and were immediately served by a waitress. She smiled at you, asking you the choice of drink you’d decided on.
“ Urh the lemonade would do “ you smiled back, seeing her jotting down your order
“ How about you sir? “ she questioned as she looked at jimmy
“ Same as her “
You could tell the waitress wasn’t listening as her movements stopped and her gaze never left Jimmy’s hands. Jimmy shifted uncomfortably, noticing as well. Snapping your black-painted fingernails at her, she flinched and apologised for dazing off.
“ The gentleman said he wanted a lemonade as well “ you replied sourly
“ Alright just a second, “ she said running off
Before you could talk to Jimmy about what happened, the waitress came back with your drinks. She wasn’t kidding when she said  ‘just a second ‘. You noticed something else peeking out under your drink, a slip of paper. Slyly, you took the note from underneath, putting it on your lap. Looking down you read the message, ‘ Hey are you in danger? If you are, please come to me for help ’. Flames were practically coming out of your ears due to how angry you were. Crumpling the paper in your hand, as if it was bullshit. Why does everyone judge Jimmy by his appearance? What happened to the phrase ‘ Don’t judge a book by its cover ‘?
“ Hey what’s that “ Jimmy broke the silence, jerking his head towards your hand
“ Oh, it's nothing, just a napkin “ you lied through your teeth, but Jimmy knew you better he saw right through you. He snatched the folded paper away from your grip, you tried reaching back for it but it was too late. He already read it.
Jimmy stormed out of the diner without another word. The same waitress timidly came next to you asking if you were alright and you glared at her.
“ You ruined our date! “ out of rage you reached the object nearest to you. It was unfortunately both your drinks but she had it coming. Pouring both of the liquids above her head, making sure the ice dropped onto her as well.
“ For your information, he was my lovely boyfriend, you bitch! “ Y/n shouted at her before leaving in a fit but before she forget, she turned around.
“ And I am not paying for those drinks “ pointing up her middle finger while walking out.
Running back into the car, worried about how Jimmy felt. When you opened the door, you found Jimmy wearing back his mittens. Sighing, you sat back in your seat.
“ I’m sorry, I ruined our date as always “ Jimmy mumbled
“ No you don’t get to apologise, it’s not your fault you're born beautiful “ you argued back, holding his cheek
“ Besides, your family loves you, I love you as well as my family and that’s all that matters “ climbing onto his lap gently kissing his neck to make him less tense. But it just quickly turned into a heated make-out session. Jimmy slid his hands down from your neck to your breast, kneading them. Making you remember he still had his gloves on.
“ Take these shits off “ roughly pulling them off, exposing his delicate hands, and putting them back onto your tits.
“ God what did I do to deserve you “ breaking the kiss to breathe
“ Nope you're getting it wrong, it's just that people are blind and can’t appreciate your beauty “ you replied, resting a kiss on each of his hands and he grabbed your face, giving you one last smooch before asking.
“ Sooo what are we eating for dinner? I’m kinda hungry “ and as if on cue, Jimmy’s stomach growled making both of you laugh.
You ended up just going to a drive-through and going to Jimmy's caravan to chill there. You weren't complaining, you prefer it to be that way. It's like a revisit to 3 years ago, going full circle.

This is my first fan fiction. I know it probably seems a bit rushed especially the ending, and I'm really sorry about that, but I hope it's good enough for you. If you would like me to write something specific about any of stray kids please ask and if I can I will try.

Summery:
Felix was struggling with anxiety after moving into a new dorm, particularly due to the separation from his caregiver, Minho.
✩.・*:。≻───── ⋆♡⋆ ─────.•*:。✩
Felix was quietly playing video games in the new dorm. He really liked it; there was more space and fewer people, and it was really nice. But there was one thing Felix didn’t like: the fact that Minho wasn’t with him.
Felix was an age regressor, and Minho was his caregiver. Being separated made Felix anxious, despite knowing he would still see him almost every day and that Seungmin would look after him if needed.
He was playing games to distract himself, but it wasn’t working. In the game, there was a scene with a little boy and his mum, and it made him more upset. He turned off the console and layed on his bed, then went on TikTok, but of course, that didn’t help either. So he got up and went into the lounge, where Seungmin was sitting, watching TV.
He went over, sat next to Seungmin, and pressed himself against Seungmin’s side, sighing. “Will Minho and Innie come visit us today? I miss them,” he said while hugging Seungmin.
“I don’t know. But if they don’t, we’ll see them tomorrow anyway,” Seungmin responded, grabbing his phone.
The next few days passed, and Felix’s anxiety grew more and more. He hadn’t slept, drank, or eaten properly, and he’d regressed twice: the first time he was alone, and the second, Seungmin looked after him. He felt horrible but didn’t want Seungmin; he just wanted Minho.
He got so stressed that he nearly broke the TV and his hand. Seungmin was angry but quickly forgave him and promised not to tell anyone. Even though Felix begged him not to, he also wanted him to, thinking that maybe if Seungmin told Chan, it would get to Minho, and he’d come and help him.
One day during practice, Seungmin saw how exhausted Felix was and decided to tell Chan. He tried to help without bringing the others into it, but he couldn’t.
After practice, everyone went off to do their own things. 3RACHA went to the studio, Jeongin and Hyunjin went shopping, and Minho decided to stay behind for a bit longer. Before Chan went to the studio, Seungmin pulled him into an empty room.
“I should’ve asked before, but can we talk about something?” Chan nodded, and Seungmin began to explain what had been going on.
“You’ve probably seen it already, but since we moved dorms, Felix hasn’t been himself. He hasn’t been eating or sleeping. He nearly broke his hand by punching the TV. He’s been crying a lot, and I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried to help, but..”
Chan kept a straight face, not showing his concern. He didn’t know what was going on, but he was really worried about Felix.
“Okay. Thanks for telling me. Try to get him to eat if you can, and I’ll talk to him tomorrow when I have nothing going on.”
Seungmin tried to get Felix to eat dinner. He even stole some of Minho’s food, but Felix refused to eat it, saying that he’d eaten a lot and wasn’t hungry. Seungmin knew it was a lie but didn’t know what to do.
The next day, Chan went over to Seungmin and Felix’s dorm to speak with him.
When he knocked on Felix’s door, he didn’t get an answer, so he knocked again and heard a sigh before “Come in.” Inside, Felix was curled up on the floor, doing something on his phone.
Chan went over to Felix and sat next to him."How are you feeling?" he asked, knowing it was a waste of time. "I'm good," Felix replied while texting his friend. "Felix... we need to talk." It took a while for Felix to open up, but eventually he did. Sobbing into Chan's shoulder, he explained everything he felt about the stress and anxiety he had from being separated from Minho and how he just wanted Minho to take care of him before he forgot about him.
After Felix calmed down, Chan separated himself from Felix, grabbed his phone, and texted someone. Very soon, Minho walked in and Chan left.
"Hey, baby." Almost immediately, Felix got up and ran to him. Even though he's been seeing him every day, being in his bedroom with him made him feel like they hadn't seen each other in weeks. The two hugged for a bit while Felix vented his feelings to him. Minho held Felix tightly, stroking his hair gently as Felix poured out his feelings.
After they pulled apart, Minho moved Felix to the bed and pulled out a dummy, giving it to Felix and saying he needed to make up for not being there for his baby.
Very quickly, the two were cuddling on Felix's bed, watching Frozen. And Felix fell asleep, and soon after, so did Minho.

i don’t remember if i ever sent something like this but i got an idea (kind of a self indulgent request…)
(set in the insatiable madness series) reader with younger siblings? that y’know… survive? i don’t think i could handle them dying. having to be their main caretakers now that the parents are gone. whew, poor meow meow reader, having to take care of their siblings AND 11 harbingers. esp if said siblings are really young…
maybe they stayed at home during the massacre at the mc donalds and that’s why they haven’t died, and then reader told them to hide in their room before letting the harbingers in so they wouldn’t find out (eventually they are mentioned by reader and are somewhat pestered by childe to meet them…)
I think I'll also answer a frequent question I get along with this so thanks for requesting it!
I've been frequently asked what happened to the children at the fast food chain when the harbingers were killing everyone who wasn't Y/N. (I purposefully didn't write/mention children being at the scene for this very reason 😭)
But, thinking about it after so many people questioning it, I'll address it with some extra information that didn't make it into the chapter/view.
(maybe it did, I can't remember. Either way - the information I'm about to spill is canon to the story...)
It was a Friday afternoon, children were only just coming out of school meaning not many children/teens were at the scene. But, for the children that were in there, let's just say a certain 'Father' familiar with children convinced the other Harbingers to let them run away.
As for 'The Father' letting them run away, there's a point they brought forward to save the children's lives.
"Let us not shed unnecessary blood in the company of innocent children. They will have close to no information regarding the one we are looking for, therefore, we should spare their lives."
So, yeah. To the question!:
'Reader with siblings in the Insatiable Madness series'
Originally I was going to make Y/N have a sibling or two. But, as I was planning I realised a couple problems with that.
Most readers will most likely not have siblings. (I don't for an example). When it comes to Y/N's, I like to have them as blank as possible for readers to fill in either themselves or their OC's.
The whole point of the series is to emphasise how alone Y/N is. They are pressured to not say anything, yet somehow introduce and care for their kidnapper's. If Y/N were to have siblings, yes, they would have more pressure, but they would be able to talk to someone about their situation and not worry about them being killed.
That's way too many characters for me to remember and attempt to write. Whilst I'm up to the challenge, there's still some characters the reader's haven't met yet. 😉
-
In a hypothetical sense though, I can see the siblings being a strength and also a weakness for Y/N.
On one hand, they are a source of comfort and a genuine sign of normality for the reader. The siblings actually care for their sibling and respect them for taking care of them whilst their mum and dad are 'away'. I think that younger siblings would still be at school so they wouldn't know what happened, if Y/N had older siblings... I guess they'd have to give the reigns to Y/N as they're the only one who knows who the Harbingers are.
I can see the siblings as an option for distraction in case Y/N needs to do something that cannot be seen, such as an attempt to escape to call for help. I can also see them as a venting mechanism, and a second opinion towards their plans if they're old enough. They also most likely keep the reader sane during this whole experience and becomes a symbol of hope to them. The siblings also a reason to be defensive against the harbingers, a reason to not give in to them due to being powerless...
One the other hand, the harbingers can use Y/N's siblings to... make them agree and do things they wouldn't normally want to do. They would be in a lot of danger - and could actually be killed if the reader doesn't obey. If the siblings are young, they most likely won't be harmed. But they will definitely be if Y/N hesitates or acts too cocky towards them in any conversation or act... I feel the harbingers would also threaten the siblings behind Y/N's back, causing them to behave strangely and not talk to Y/N, maybe try to convince them not to do something that the harbingers will get angry at.
Buuuuut, if the siblings are young, perhaps some of the more paternal/maternal harbingers whom are affectionate and used to children can gain their trust. Gaining the trust of Y/N's siblings could get them in good favours with them soooo, if they're yandere or looking to emotionally manipulate them - that's their best way to their heart.
-
Oh yeah, and I think I've mentioned this throughout all of the paragraphs... If Y/N had siblings, they'd be their biggest and most obvious weakness.
There's definitely more to write here, but I've had this ask in my drafts for a couple weeks unfinished now and I want to focus on new asks which include some story involved <3

sera meta!
i love her soooo much - if not for solas, she'd be hands-down my favorite character from inquisition. so it's long past time i did a meta post for her <3
this is gonna be long and i added a lot of her relevant dialogue to it
meta overview: sera is young, traumatized, has deep-seated internalized racism, and has never had an opportunity to be vulnerable or to safely express herself. she's also autistic af imo
part 1: her past
she was presumably born into an alienage, and as @skip-the-clumsy-dragon reminded me recently, city elves are expected to get married and have children. this is a realistic thing for them to prioritize (and dalish likely have the same priority) given the fact that they're an endangered culture. however, sera's a lesbian - to grow up in a society that tells her that she has to marry an elven man and have his children would've been incredibly ostracizing to her. the elves made her feel broken, directly or indirectly, and i think that's something a lot of queer people can relate to.
while only the last part is related, this bit of banter between her and solas is interesting in terms of her being a lesbian:
Sera: (shivers) Weird. Solas: Sera? What are you feeling? Sera: Ugh, here we go. It’s nothing, it just feels like I've seen this. Exactly this. It happens. Solas: Not to everyone. Sera: It’s not an elf thing. You’re not shaking. Sera: I suppose now you’ll switch to how I’m the same but different? Solas: You are different. You are the furthest from what you were meant to be. Sera: Well I’ve definitely heard piss like this before. Hmph!
she was adopted by the lady emmald, which looks fine at first, but as we're shown during the cookie scene, emmald didn't really care about sera. more than likely, she cared about what sera could do for her (a sort of live-in, unpaid servant in a child who she 'saved' from the streets) and the social esteem she'd get for 'rescuing' a 'poor elf' - lady emmald was the racist one, and the user, not the baker she blamed
Sera: I got caught stealing when I was little, yeah? You get alienage or worse for that, but the “Lady Emmald” took me in. She was sick and couldn’t have children. I had no parents. It worked out. Anyway, she gets a year sicker, so I ask about her cookies. Because mums make cookies. I can pass that down, or something. Turns out, she couldn’t cook. She missed that talk with her mum. The ones she “made” she bought and pretended. Aw, right? Well, no, she was a bitch. She hid buying them by keeping me away from the baker. She did that by lying that he didn’t like me, didn’t like elves. She let me hate so she could protect her pride. I hated him so much, and I hated… She looks away again. Sera: Well, she died, and I hate pride. “Pride cookies.”
"I hated him so much, and I hated... [being an elf]" is the obvious conclusion. and again, it makes sense - her people wanted her to play a role she couldn't, and wouldn't, play - and her adoptive mother allowed her to hate and hate so that she could protect her own pride.
Inquisitor: I don’t understand. This Lady Emmald was just trying to be good to you. Sera: She hurt people. Inquisitor: It was just cookies. Sera: It was not just cookies! Lie to herself? Fair play, only hurts her. But she made me think there was something wrong with me! And the baker! I made his life shit. Why not? It seemed like he deserved it. I mean, “if you don’t give a child a cookie because of appearances, you’re a monster.” Stupid, pride-whore noble. She pauses. Sera: I know, I said it was stupid. That’s why I want to get rid of it. I want to make better cookies.
she keeps calling herself stupid. she's angry and hurting and trying to be vulnerable, and when her vulnerability isn't supported she immediately resorts to calling herself stupid, making her feelings smaller, insulting herself before she can be insulted by the inquisitor, someone she's grown close to
Inquisitor: It is stupid. You dragged me here to bad-mouth a sad, dead woman. Sera: It’s not about that. Feelings are hard, all right? Inquisitor: Not for an adult! Sera: Bullshit! And I’m trying to say I like it here! I thought you’d want to know that, and eat my shitty cookies! / Sera: I just thought you’d want to know that I think you’re pretty great! That I made you shitty cookies!
"not for an adult" - sera is by far the youngest companion. and she's never had the opportunity to even begin unpacking her own trauma, until maybe haven/skyhold, depending on how your inquisitor treats her. but she is still an adult, and while this argument shows a lot of her feelings, it was really hard to even read thru 💀
part 2: red jenny
after emmald, she ended up on the streets again. she was taken in by the red jennies. by this point she has personal cause to dislike elves and elven culture, and to dislike nobles - but she doesn't really hate humans, which is understandable considering that she's surrounded by them. she sees that they get treated like shit sometimes, too. her alliances are not and have never been along racial lines, but class divisions: she looks out for the "little people", which in her case means the poor, the unhoused, or those in servitude.
the fact that she doesn't live in the alienage means she's surrounded by human faith. i've discussed this before in prior metas, but in thedas, andrastianism or however it'd be spelled is likely not optional - it's presumed and absolute. christianity was like this too, in medieval times, the church was the core of cities and everyone was expected to be faithful. theres' an immense sociocultural pressure towards religious conformity that everyone is exposed to even if they don't personally go to the church/pray/etc. - it's just baked into the culture. the chant is everywhere. and people internalize stuff they're surrounded by, that's natural
so she's out here angry, bitter, finally able to be 'just' sera with the jennies, not expected to breed for them or to take their shit, allowed to be exactly who she is... and at the same time, she's immersed in chantry culture. she wants a parent, she wants someone who cares for her no matter what. she keeps hearing that it's andraste and the maker who will care for her.
Inquisitor: Odd that you’d ask Andraste over your own gods. Sera: “My” gods? Whatever. They don’t talk any more than she does. Not like she’s supposed to. I know what happened to you, or what everyone here thinks happened. It seems… I don’t know what it seems.
part 3: her behavior
she's outwardly callous and irreverent a lot of the time, but that stems from a mix of things, primarily: humor as a coping mechanism and having seen so much shit in her life. she talks about food a lot, but this bit of banter with blackwall explains why really clearly:
Sera: Hey, do you think they'll have pie when we get back? I could use a pie. Or three. Blackwall: That's... a lot of pie for one person. Sera: You'd understand if you've ever been hungry. In your bones hungry.
she also has a really grounded view of mages. it's not perfect, she's very afraid of magic - as she's been taught to be. i think people get caught up in the mage freedom angles the games have been showing us and forget that within the games context, mages are fucking scary and people are scared of them. i'm staunchly pro-mage, but it's useless to ignore the context they exist within
Sera: I knew a funny boy in Denerim. Started fires with his eyes. Templars nabbed him right quick, so he's better now, I guess? Dorian: Better? Do you know what your southern Circles are like? Sera: Meals and training? So he wouldn't starve or get stomped by a mob? I've seen both. Dorian: (Sighs.) You're sadly right.
circles are bad but also? she's right. training, room and board... when it's living in a circle vs. being killed on the street, i think most people would choose the former, even with all the inherent difficulties and the oppression of it, the abuses by the templars, all of it. because at least you're alive. and the training is important. it's all kinds of wrong the way it's structured, but mages do need training, there's no denying that - even in cultures that don't lock up their mages, they still need to test them, to train them
and she has a very practical, very grounded perspective on nobles and who would suffer in a massive revolution. when solas starts recommending guerilla warfare tactics to her, she shuts him down - not because his ideas are wrong, but because she can see ahead to all the harm it'd cause the exact people she's trying to protect
Solas: Once you have the aristocracy weakened, Sera, you will have to redirect your lieutenants. Sera: Oh, this again. All right, what am I doing? Solas: Some of your forces, valuable until now, have no interests beyond creating disruption. Chaos for its own sake. They must be repositioned where they can do no harm, or removed if necessary. You replace them with organizers willing to build a new system and carry out the ugly work that must be done. Sera: What? Why? What ugly work? Solas: That is up to you. Do you wish to disrupt the nobility, secure a title? Or change the political structure entirely? Sera: None of it! I don't want any of that!
Solas: I do not understand you, Sera. You have no end goal for your organization. Sera: Nobles get rattled, and people get payback. I play in the middle. Solas: Why not go all the way? You see injustice, and you have organized a group to fight it. Don't you want to replace it with something better? Sera: What, just lop off the top? What's that do, except make a new top to frig it all up? Solas: I…forgive me. You are right. You are fine as you are. Sera: You hurt my head sometimes, Solas. Solas: Yes, I have been known to do that.
conclusion:
sera is one of the most important characters in dai specifically because of the perspective she brings to the table. she's the average person. she's scared of mages and magic. she's scared of templars. she's scared of the grey wardens. she's young and tries so hard. she lived through the blight. she's traumatized af. she feels like she has no culture that will accept her as she is. the first people to accept her, to just see sera, are the red jennies, and she happily joins them. she offers herself to the inquisition despite being scared of it because a part of her wants to help and another part wants answers - but is scared of getting them at the same time.
Herald: But where do you stand on the war? Sera: In the frigging middle, with everyone else. Sera: You know what I hear about mages? Nothing until one goes all demony. Know what I hear about templars? Nothing, until they take “maybe-mages.”
she's a queer city elf who's expected to marry another elf and have his children. she's a poor elven child who's supposed to be grateful that she was offered a good life by a noble. she's never had a space where she was able to work through all her issues, or even begin looking at them for real - but when she does have that space, she is surprisingly vulnerable with people. the cookies are important because it's her biggest show of vulnerability - she's revealing her past and one of the things that haunts her most, and she's actively trying to change the context, to disrupt a childhood trauma with new, better memories

yeah you put all of my thoughts about david and william's relationship into that one post they're so tragic... i cant help but think of a different timeline where they could have been awkward brothers together, maybe one where they didn't both come from deadwood. the foreshadowing on william's part too, where in the Michael in the Bathroom parody intro from ep 32 (of all places) william sings "he's always such a bummer, he wants to trust his brother" in referring to himself. Also, the implication that everyone who comes from deadwood is messed up makes me wonder how william's parents are. maybe it has to do with the hallway of fears all the way from season 1, where william's mirror showed his father behind him with messed up eyes?
/ pd ep 33 spoilers referenced beware
Maybe in a totally different universe they could’ve had an awkward and strained but mostly healthy and normal sibling relationship. but god knows with who David is in this universe (a morally corrupt ceo) any version of William that allows himself to get close with and trust his step brother is a version that is either equally morally corrupt, very manipulated or both, and no matter what it wouldn’t be a healthy dynamic. (and that’s not really a compliant on my part, i adore fucked up and messy relationships in media lol).
Totally agree that the Michael In The Bathroom cover gave us probably one of the clearest looks into William’s psyche during this whole thing. William really did go that far because he wanted to trust his brother, and he knew if he backed out then he could lose that potential sibling relationship forever. But obviously once he realised he’d actually KILLED someone for it… the betrayal and horror overpowered that old yearning.
William’s parents have always been a source of interest to me because like… William has never said anything outwardly negative about them, but then his actions and demeanour around them always portray something slightly different. I do believe he loves and cares for his parents. But I also think the relationship there has always been kind of strained. My guess is, on top of the general David was the big shot success story William could never live up to, William was always quite distant with his family. He could always see the supernatural (something that even then made him somewhat a freak from this weird but still rural seemingly conservative leaning town) and he spent most of his time out with friends on hunts that I doubt he ever told his parents the truth of before he actually died.
His parents are canonically church goers, it would make sense that William wouldn’t want to tell them he was messing around with devilish stuff, nor that he himself was possessed in some way and able to see the dead. But then he dies, and his freakishness goes from 1 to 100 and there’s no way he can hide it now, especially not if his parents are shown his dead, lifeless body before he wakes back up in it. And maybe his parents saw this as a miracle at first, rather than the work of the devil, but either way we know from the recent rolled that William truly believes his parents see him as some freak, and I’d definitely guess the other towns people if they knew… maybe it wasn’t great for the family reputation wise in such a small town.
And there is something to the fact that, well, in the end when the monsters came for William they did just give him away to the heroes. And sure, they stayed in touch somewhat? But even then it’s one or two calls in months to years of time to your teenaged kid (though I’ll retract that if it’s implied that it was William dodging their calls… but even that leads to a point I’ll make in a bit).
But then whenever they do come back,,, even after everything they don’t seem to take William seriously. Which is very interesting. They’re often worried about him, but they don’t seem to listen to him as we saw in their recent scene where his mum got mad and had to be really persuaded to leave. They don’t seem to comprehend the severity.
They don’t understand what’s going on with him, they don’t have a clue, and I don’t think they ever really did. I think William has always been too afraid to tell them the truth about what’s going on with him (whether that was being able to see the dead, or now all the hero villain mess he’s stuck in), he’s always been afraid of them seeing him like a freak, them no longer loving him. And so he keeps it a secret and he keeps it away from them and he distances himself the best he can. He’d probably argue that it’s to keep them safe, but I think he’s mostly protecting his own heartbreak of them finding out “who he really is” and rejecting him. I think that’s his big fear, and it’s a fear he’s carried around with him since even before his first death.
So while I don’t think his parents are,,, necessarily malicious. I think they’ve definitely fucked up with William. I don’t think they ever made him feel safe enough to be himself around them. I don’t think they’ve ever been there for William when he really needed. And I don’t think they’ve ever known who their son was. But then they still act like they know best for him, they still play the concerned parents. And I think they genuinely believe they do know and want what’s best for William. But the issue there is… they don’t know who William is, and they haven’t for a really long time.
David left too, y’know? He also got the hell out deadwood as soon as he could. He also talked to (and bonded with) William over their clear joint disliking of that place. And I wonder if his parents are oblivious to how much their kids hated where they grew up, if they’re just oblivious to all of the weirdness of deadwood. Why they chose to live and stay there in the first place. They still live there to this day!
I don’t know,,, I have a lot of thoughts about the wisp-bell family and all the mess and dysfunction there. I didn’t even really get into the religious trauma of it all, which is likely a strong part of why William felt the need to hide and distance himself from his parents,,, but yeah I’ll stop rambling for now lol

Jorge is talking, hardly stopping for breath. 'Valentino arrived on the scene and revolutionised everything,' he says. 'He brought radical change. I remember that at school, on the day after a race, everybody would be talking about the battle between Doohan and Crivillé... and then about Valentino Rossi! It wasn't normal for us to be interested in the winner of the 125cc race! But he did things differently, he started to improvise. There was a group of us who used to get together to watch the race at my father's track at the water park. There was my dad, his assistant Toni, my friend Rubén... we used to watch the races and then exchange opinions. Everybody said Rossi was a clown... Rubén and I were Max Biaggi fans... we used to criticise Rossi because we liked Biaggi and I suppose it was jealousy. If you don't like somebody you find it hard to admit when they do something well. It's human nature, especially when you're a kid. But we had to admit that this guy was totally original. He did things that nobody had ever done before. He was different from everything and everybody, he worked really hard and he was really fun.' This youthful, envious disapproval aside, Jorge has always enjoyed Valentino Rossi's celebrations, who why not give them a try himself? Once again it's that same old story, the desire to be genuinely original. In fact, his favourite phrase is, 'You have to be different.' He wanted to celebrate his victories, he didn't want to let his fans and his critics down - or himself - but clearly Valentino had been there first. 'When Jorge was little I used to think that Rossi was a bit of a clown too,' María suddenly interjects. 'It wasn't until I became involved in this business that I realised how wrong I was.' With that, she snapped us both out of our trance. We had been at their London flat for several hours, working on this book, and Jorge quickly picked up on what an interesting comment his mother had just made. Everything looks different from the inside. 'The thing is that Rossi has the ideal character to do what he does,' Jorge concludes. 'Ever since he was little, whenever he finished on the podium, Jorge would celebrate differently from everybody else. He jumped differently,' says María. Jorge looks at her, surprised. 'I used to jump on the podium?' 'You would shout, "Bieeeen!" and jump in the air,' she replies. 'I watch you at races now and it's exactly the same. You have the same face, the same expression. You are euphoric. You look exactly the same as when you were little.' 'I have always been very expressive, in victory and defeat. I used to go crazy when I lost...' 'And when you won!' María interjects. Now she looks at me. 'I remember being at a circuit once, at one of the first races he did. In fact I think it was his first race, in San Juan. He was only three years old and it was raining. He kept having to stop and poke the mud off his rear wheel with a stick. And because he couldn't see anybody, because the race was over, he looked at his dad and said, "Have I won? Have I won?" The race had finished! The poor little beggar - everyone was laughing at him and he just kept riding.' 'I got lapped two or three times,' remembers Jorge. 'I was racing against much older kids - 10 and 15 years old. There was so much mud that the rear wheel kept locking up against the mudguard. But what's that got to do with my celebrations, Mum?' 'Because, Jorge, ever since the beginning, all you ever thought about was winning. It was all about winning, winning and winning. Celebrating it, sharing it, have developed naturally.'
Strangely enough, Jorge's first notable celebration didn't come in a motorcycle race but during a school football match in the playground of Milagrosa when he was ten years old. 'I don't know if you remember when Valentino Rossi won at Jerez and packed the bike up before running into one of those portable toilets they have at the Grands Prix. I can honestly say that I can't remember if I did it first or if I'd seen Valentino do it... I think I did first,' he says, gazing into the distance. 'Anyway, the fact is that I'd planned it. I decided that if I scored a penalty I would run off and lock myself inside the school toilets. Sure enough, I scored and off I ran. My friends fell around laughing. I've always been a terrible footballer, but I enjoyed that!' His first celebration of note at a racetrack came in the 50cc Copa Aprilia at Montmeló in 1998. 'I won, stood up on the bike and raised my hand, then raised one finger. It seems such a normal thing to do nowadays, but people didn't tend to do it back then.' It also became normal to see Jorge on the podium sucking on a Chupa Chups, the famous brand of Spanish lollipops that have been long-term sponsors of Dani Amatriaín's teams and riders. 'It wasn't long after the time when Johan Cruyff used to do something similar [on the bench, as manager of F.C. Barcelona].' In Brazil, when Jorge won his first Grand Prix, back in 2003, he mimed the action of firing a gun. Then, in 2004, he pretended to play the guitar after beating Dovizioso at Brno. 'In the end it looked like it was supposed to be a Spanish guitar but I'd wanted it to be an electric one!' All these early celebrations were merely a hint of what was to come. Over the years they have made plenty of people smile, but perhaps none more so than Juan Llansá. 'I find them really funny,' he smiles. 'Even though I am almost 50 years old now, I enjoy them as much as if I were 20! I get involved whenever I can. At the British GP in 2006 I wore a Dutch hat and glasses. I really like the fact Jorge does these things, because they're intended as a present to his fans. That gets me going, it gives me energy, because if you switch off you may as well not bother. You have to enjoy life. The day I stop enjoying being with Jorge, it's time to pack up and go home!'

I honestly love the delancey bros like they're lowkey bad people but I love them. gently holds. (some of the emotion reading may be off, idk man got a touch of the tism I'm bad at this)
I already spoke abt them in another post but now I'll do it again (off the top of my head)
So. Both their parents were out of the picture, father left them in the refuge and shit. They get paid to basically do dirty work I guess (eg. beating ppl up) because they're scary fellas yknow. They beat up the trolley workers for striking (one was their father) and as Oscar says "Guess he didn't take care of me"
Next. During Carrying the banner: the gate scene. Oscar has hit bit with Race where he shoves him and stuff, but Morris specifically only kinda dived at the bars after Race (and the rest of the Newsies) insulted him and Oscar. "You want some of that too? You lousy Cr*p" No Morris don't say that. In Jack's words, that's not nice. But. He only did it after Oscar shoved Race, making me think maybe he only did it because he thought they were gonna get in a fight or something? Obviously he could've just done it for the sake of it but still.
Next. So it gets to counting the papers and shit and it looks like Oscar flinches a little when Jack kinda lunges towards him. I like that detail. Also Oscar making that awkward ass face when he's giving Crutchie the papers is brilliant
Next. Before the world will know. When Davey is talking about his mum. THEIR FACES HURT. The way Oscar looks so sad, and Morris looks more. idk like angry? like still sad, but angry and I guess protective? Then again, Oscar flinches when Jack hits the box.
Next. Before Seize the day, first off they're idiots "We got bum word about a strike happening" (It shows Oscar smacking Morris to get his attention to point up at the 'STRIKE' Jack is writing. But also the "My skull busting arm could use a damn rest" It's supposed to be intimating, but added with the brothers past + details about actors portrayal (Specifically Mike Faist and Devin Lewis) it seems more of a defensive thing. Devin Lewis' Morris comes across as Loud=Scary, it seems like he's trying to intimidate the Newsies. Same with Oscar during Carring the Banner
Next. Crutchie getting arrested. Can't excuse Oscar spitting on him, or Morris calling Crutchie a Cr*p. (Going from after Wiesel shows up, because I don't fully remember the little scene before that) When the Delanceys are shown with Wiesel, they look guilty. Probably because they know how bad the refuge is. I also noticed about how they seem to exaggerate things when around adults (I'll talk more abt that further down)
Next. The bottom line reprise. specifically the cellar scene. They seem to yell everything "I've been polishing my favourite brass knuckles (eg.) Or when Morris bangs the press. As I said they seem to exaggerate it all which could be for two reasons.
1. They're dramatic
2. They're making sure the adults hear everything, making sure Wiesel and everyone else can hear that they're doing their job.
They could yell everything or act dramatic to show they're tough, it could just be how they are but it could also be an act to show that they can do their job. They might be trying to show Wiesel that there's no reason for him to fire them or put them back in the refuge.
Next. right before Finale. They both look more relaxed to me, like they're relived to be back to how it was where they were just selling papers and stuff.
Basically I really like looking at the Delanceys as characters rather than Villans, they're just 2 kids (assuming they're around the same age as the Newsies, maybe a little older) trying to survive, and growing up in the refuge has taught them that violence is the way to survive. In my eyes, with all the little background details of when it's just them to (Before + During the World will know) they're just these lonely fellas. I mean, all they have is eachother really. Wiesel only took them out the refuge to work for him. They were being used as goons by him and its not like they could go against him because they'd loose their work and possibly be chucked back in the refuge.
anyway. This was mostly based off Livesies (2017) and what I could remember from a OBC bootleg I watched. (I also haven't watched the 1992 one enough times to speak about those Delanceys, in my mind the Broadway and 1992 are separate characters)

027; the transformation
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
previous chapter | next chapter | masterlist
summary: the one where ej and andy realise that there may be some romantic feelings between them that hadn't been there before, or had they? the new year test this revelation
wordcount: 1.4k
Tumblr media
THEY ALL STOOD IN REHEARSALS, Andy talking to EJ and Gina before Miss Jenn called everyone's attention to her.
"Lets try the Beast transformation one last time," she suggested, "And remember, this is the triumph of the show, this has to work,"
"Ricky, try not to rush this time," she said and Ricky nodded, "Lets take it from 'you came back'"
They all set up the scene, everyone scuttling backstage as they watched the emotional scene.
As 'the beast' died, Ricky ripped off the mask with a struggle, throwing it at Natalie Bagley and knocking her over.
The issue wasn't just his inability to throw but it was also his issues with the emotions of it.
"Cut!" Miss Jenn yelled out and she started to freak out, "I will be in my office,"
Carlos walked up, "We're on a long five until Miss Jenn returns," he said before rushing off after her.
"That didn't go well," Andy said, EJ nodding his head as they watched the scene.
Tumblr media
After school finished, the entire group stood in Slices after being called in by Carlos.
They all knew something was wrong and this was their way to fix it and save their play.
"Mother is freaking out, its about the Menkies," Carlos said, "We can't win,"
Everyone exclaimed in confusion, not understanding how they couldn't wind the Menkies.
"Theres math involved, if we don't win the technical achievement award we don't have a chance," he said, "We need to rally behind Miss Jenn,"
Kourtney walked over, knowing what was going on as she casually poured them drinks.
"I'm a designer, Big Red a tool guy, between the two of us we have the answer," Korutney explained.
"Quit school, get a job at the pizza shop?" Seb asked, a glum expression on his face.
"No, we should invent something amazing that we can run at tech rehearsal tomorrow," Kourtney said and everyone raued behind the idea.
"Ash, you have the biggest house, what if I invite myself and some of the girls after school to continue the collab?" Nini suggested.
"I mean square footage wise, my house is slightly larger-" EJ started but Andy elbowed him, making him retract his statement.
They made the decision of the guys going to Big Reds basement and the girls going down to Ashlyns house.
Afterwards, all the girls - plus Seb - met at Ashlyns house as they discussed ideas.
"Ooh, you know those sequined tops where if you rub them one way they're purple, the other way they're red, we could do that with the Beast cape," Kourtney suggested.
"And the boys could build something that spins the Beast around to disguise the transformation," Andy added, the girls agreeing with both ideas.
"That will take a while, but I guess I could sleep over tonight," Gina said, the girls laughing at her sarcasm.
"I don't know if my parents will be cool with a co-ed sleepover," Seb said, looking around at them.
He went and called his mother about it and she came back saying it was fine. Andy also text her mum and she was fine with it.
Ashlyn then text the boys about the idea and they agreed that they'd do it,  but Big Red had to sacrifice his skate boards.
"This is gonna be so good, Carlos could wear it," Kourtney said with a chuckle as she measured the fur on Seb.
"Does he just walk around in Armani sweatpants?" Ashlyn asked jokingly and Seb nodded his head unenthusiastically.
It all went silent, Andy and the rest of the girls had noticed the tension between the couple.
It had been like that since spring break and a little bit before that. They all thought the couple were happy so this was a shock.
"Seb, is something going on with you guys?" Nini asked, all the girls turning to focus on him as they wanted to make sure their friend was okay.
"I guess but he met a group of extremely photogenic guys during Spring Break and he seems pretty happy," Seb explained.
"You want to see him happy, and he's always happy with you," Ashlyn said, trying to comfort him.
"But I guess he has to be out of default, right," Seb said and they realised that this was because of the limited gay boys at the school.
"Have you told him how you feel? Its always good to put yourselves out there," Andy suggested.
"Like you and EJ, I swear I saw you two holding hands and giggling at the pizza place," Nini said and Andy blushed.
"Yes, you two are the cutest thing. You guys should have seen them all spring break all cuddled up and gross," Ashlyn said, Andy going an even deeper shade of red.
"Yeah, we all saw it coming," Kourtney added.
"Really, was it that obvious that we liked each other?" Andy questioned, not realising it.
"Kinda, you two have always been mushy but it was super cutesy lately, and then that Instagram post of you two holding hands was just insane," Kourtney said with a smile.
"I didn't realise you two were dating until I saw you making out at North High so not really, but I'm not good at signs," Gina said.
Ashlyn and Andy looked at each other, "The chocolates," they said at the same time, the girls all laughing about it.
"What are the chocolates?" Nini asked and everyone went silent as they realised she didn't know.
"Oh, uh, I thought Ricky sent me chocolates on valentines day, it was my mum," Gina explained.
Nina looked confused, "Why'd I never hear about this?" She questioned, all of them still silent.
There was an awkward tension in the room as Nini realised she wasn't as close to the girls as she thought.
"It wasn't a big deal," Gina said, the tension still there before they just tried to carry on with their work.
Over at Big Reds house, the boys worked on their rotating object whilst Carlos vented about not knowing why Seb was frustrated.
"Hes worried you're only dating him because hes the only other boy at school who watches Drag Race Canada," Big Red said, explaining he got a text from Ashlyn about it.
"Okay, wow, why wouldn't he just say something to me?" Carlos asked, sitting down as the boys had a heart to heart.
"People are complicated man, we don't have it together as much as we seem - except EJ here," Ricky explained.
"What, what are you talking about?" He questioned, not knowing what they meant.
"Well, you and Andy, you're like a perfect little couple," Ricky stated, EJ looking at him confused.
"It's not as perfect as it seems," EJ stated, he hadn't even told Andy this but he had his doubts.
It wasn't about her, it was about himself. He worried that he would ruin everything between them by being himself
"Really Pretty Boy, is it just because you're graduating this year?" Ricky asked.
"Its because of Nini actually," EJ said and everyone went silent, "I don't have feelings for her but the only time I was proud of my relationship was when I let her go,"
"But does that mean you're worried you're going to let the next girl go as well?" Carlos asked, knowing how perfect of a couple Andy and EJ were.
"I just don't want to let her go, like ever," EJ said, running a hand through her hair, "I just love Andy so much it hurts to imagine leaving her,"
The boys all froze, EJs eyes going wide as he realised he admitted that he loved Andy.
At that exact moment, they got a call from the girls and Seb telling them to meet at the school because they got the original Broadway plans from Howie.
When everyone got there, Andy smiled at EJ, looking at him confused as he gave her a half hearted smile back.
They all crowded around the plans, "Wait, so in the Broadway show, all they did was suspend the Beast in the air and then he takes his mask off?" Gina asked skeptically.
"But combine this from the wire from Get'cha Head in the Game and we're golden," Ashlyn said and they all set it up.
They re-enacted the scene with Ricky in the harness and as he died they lifted him up so he was suspended in the air.
Everyone applauded as they watched him up in the air before the rope snapped and Ricky fell.
Let's just say that he fell on Ashlyn and the two of them ended up with a nice trip to the emergency room.

Laws of Attraction กฎแห่งรักดึงดูด Ep 8
I really, really enjoyed this finale. I'll have to rewatch with subs at some point, at least in parts, because some of the details were lost on me (what was that new case of Chaan's about?), but I'm looking forward to it. I hope we get more queer shows out of One31 going forward -- can Organ and Sylvie get a spinoff, maybe? aaah I'll keep dreaming. Anyway! The live blog.
--
Six days late, but I'm watching this! I'm very sad that this is going to be over. Excited, too, though. Alright, going in.
WHAT THE FUCK is this cold open with the flashback in the moment of death type scene
Oh no, going to pay respect to his mum before he goes join her, huh.
ooooh is Maayaa going to broadcast whatever confession Rose catches at that warehouse live during her announced live? I BET she is and that's such a smart move, can't make something tens of thousands of followers saw unseen
this house remains an abomination
oh god Nawin please shut up
asdfasdf of course they're gonna punch each other about it
pick up the gd necklace, that's a tripping hazard or something
oh baby, crying in business class, huh
well that knot came apart easily
rescuing our lovers solidarity, huh
YIKES those boinks to the head with that thing would've had a pretty decent chance of killing the dudes if this were real
hahaha of course Chaan planted stuff. Let's hope this plays out as he hoped. can hardly believe Thatthep is this dumb, though on the other hand …
… oh god is Tinn going to ruin this take. He IS, isn't he.
I am SO nervous, goodness
he's pretttty convincing
250k viewers is pretty incredible
WOW this dude is cold as ice
ahahaha of COURSE someone was going to tell them this was getting streamed and they REALLY should've seen that coming
just put the freaking doll away and HIDE ffs Chaan
Tinn to the rescue
you fuckers, RUN
what are you doing
oh ffs Tinn don't RUSH the guy with the gun, and you, Chaan, don't just STAND there ffs
yeah that … was going to happen and I sure hope he's wearing body armour of some sort
how many shots does this thing HAVE??
hey. hate to interrupt but thatthep is still RIGHT THERE and ARMED
ROSE <3 <3 <3 I love her so much oh my GOD
okay everyone here is useless, why hasn't anyone called an ambulance
also I feel like Tinn should've been able to FEEL the body armour but w/e
so did they pull Thaenthai off the plane or what
adsfasdfasdasdf oh no he was being that passenger but I guess it's all for the best, huh
over the top and overdramatic, 10/10 no notes
asdfasdfasf Chaan being a BRAT because he can
GRANDMA 😂
asdfasdfasd of COURSE she'd be like "this is a HOSPITAL"
oh poor baby, your dad doesn't even want to see you in this situation, huh
and he said it himself
man I feel bad for Thaenthai.
offering Chaan "everything/anything" is a dangerous thing, Tinn
Tinn is so cute in his slow realisations. yes it's sorta overacted. no I don't care.

… is Thatthep trying to be a big man even in prison? I was so sure they'd ostracise him for killing a kid
ffs someone shut this dude up already (let it be Thee)
… oh WOW yikes ouch
I kinda hate that it was this was something Chaan probably set up. Not a fan of people making third parties get their hands dirty for revenge
awwww Thaen
whatcha gonna do with all this, hm? sell the house, get an apartment somewhere, be happy with Thee?
I really wanted for them to get to kiss, but you know what? these hugs are so heartfelt, I'll take them
oh Tinn, don't do that to yourself
look at grandma! look at Tinn with that ridiculous oversized bow tie!
Chaan subscribing to the "sun's out guns out" philosophy of fashion even on his wedding day, I see
ah, so he does have a jacket
oh they look good. hair and make-up on POINT
I have opinions on the set-up of this but there's a time and place for salt and this is probably not it

KISS!!!!!!
aaaaaah can Rose and Maya kiss, too? for me?
god Chaan's "I'm so lucky" in love eyes. Film's expression here is so different from Thian's in-love-face and I love both of them.
AAAAAH MY GIRLS!!!!!!
PRODUCT PLACEMENT hello. I want twenty of those but also this REALLY shows the age of the intended target audience
ahaha Chaan back on the job, stirring shit. I love him.
oh my goodness, Chaan actually said it
this is reaching PatPran levels of interruption
I love them
I guess that was supposed to be cute but I couldn't see it as anything but overstepping, sorry, Tinn
oh, I love these long shots
… and that finaly second of that shot was 100% Film turning to the camera like "are we done yet" 😂
