I am devastated on thinking Timmy's fate in the series... I won't put my faith that they will handle it well, so I'll just indulge in fanworks to fill in this void. If they ever do it well one day, then I'll be there for the encore.

For now, I think you'll see a lot of somewhat depressed art on FOP for a while lol. Not continuous mind you! University is a bitch to get through. Whenever I'm free that is. Which is on long stretches of time unfortunately... Still, when I'm not posting trash, I'll be around observing quietly. You can guarantee that at least.

The work this time is inspired by @xblubotx (the adopted parents kissing Timmy one so cute omgosh) and @cubbihue FOP AU (sorry I have not memorised your AU yet). I admire that Blubot can adapt the FOP artstyle so well lmao. It'll be lightyears before I can do that 😭😭😭. Also, their Timmy fanarts break my heart, thank you. For the fairies design, I took inspiration from Cubbihue's AU. I think it's cute that they have tails, but there's not much I can say regarding their AU since its still developing. Take your time on that and have fun by the way.

The context for this one is just that Timmy is embarassed that Cosmo and Wanda are giving him the affection he is missing out from his parents. Poof is laughing from Timmy's embarrassment lol. (Not using Poof's new name because that is not that iteration of his character.) Timmy got a lot of fairy dust to remove from his face on that day...

Hm, are there side-effects to fairies kissing a mortal (on the cheeks hehe)? I kinda wish there was a comprehensive mythology book for stuff like that. There's some sources where I read that fairies kissing humans can actually result in their soul being whisked away to the other world (essentially dying yeah) and some sources say that fairies kissing you means its their way of marking territory or for good luck??? I wonder where those myths came from... but it is fascinating to think about. I guess Timmy will die young then /jk lol.

I got input from my younger sister that a darker color background is better than the dark blue one I used initially. I'm quite unsure on this, so I'll just post them all... I also don't think I nailed Cubbihue's AU on the fairy sizes... It's hard to accurately draw characters on a specific scale for me... Oh well, I can practice more. This took me 3 days at least. Also, here's a png version of the piece and two photos of the concept sketches.

she does need sleep! she doesn't need to sleep as often as people, but she's a little wraith and she needs to snooze every like... i dunno. three days? sure, let's go with that.

although in the first few days of her being on PNF404, i could see her getting bored one night and poking around her crewmate's rooms to see what they're doing (spoilers: they're all just sleeping). in the morning after, dingo talks about a very bizarre dream he had with a specter watching him sleep! everyone dismisses it as the ranger having some weird sleep paralysis, but pom's sweating at the table thinking about how she should be way more careful if she does that again.

this ask did inspire me though, i'll probably make more art explaining how she works sometime later hehe...

that'd be scary... although, if there's anyone incentivized to wraithify olimar, it'd probably be the plasm wraith! that golden goo is really fond of him, and they'd love to make olimar just like them

YES!!!!!!!!! there are so, so many ways that could happen and each one is hilarious... i've written out a few different scenarios, i should pick one to draw out... it'd be funny if dingo learns her secret but decides to trust her and keep it safe. but he's, you know. dingo. he's not good at lying, especially to his crewmates (and especially to his actual childhood friend of a doctor who was already very suspicious of the new blood!)

Yes, they've known each other since April was aboutttt eight maybe? And the boys were quite young for fairies too! I've changed D*sney Fairy canon a little bit by giving fairies more of an adolescent period, since I liked the idea of fairies being "raised" for a handful of years by the whole community until they learn the ins and outs of the world a bit more! Plus I wanted an excuse to draw the boys at slightly younger ages hehe

I'm not sure about the kidnapping arc, honestly? If it did happen, it would be a very short-lived affair lmao. The boys met April when they were still new enough to not really fear humans yet, so it wouldn't be much of a rescue mission-- more like, "Oh hey! You met a human!!! New friend?" from the other three turtles! They'd all think April was the coolest thing ever from the moment they met her :D

Donnie wouldn't be the one to be kidnapped, either. I was thinking Raph instead! He has a history of getting tangled up with a whole slew of dangerous animals because he finds every single one of them absolutely adorable-- I can imagine him doing the same when he sees April, and her accidentally "kidnapping" him because of her own fascination! Kind of a mutual big-sibling adoption process ❤️💚

What , And how did you start pairing lotura, And Plance .?

Ooooh boy am I excited to answer this!!! This is going to be a long answer, hope you don't mind! Because I have some specific memories about these two ships, particularly lotura, that I would absolutely love to share with you!

Prepare for a long read! Hehe

Starting with lotura, when season 3 came out and Lotor made his debut, of course I was all 👀👀👀 Because that day something awoke in 19 year old me that I didn't realize could ever be awoken lol. And I wish I could remember exactly what my reaction was to his cat-and-mouse chase with Allura in the episode "The Hunted", but at the time I must not have considered the idea of them ever going in the direction of a romance. Looking back now though, how could I have been so blind??! That chase scene is HOT. I mean just look at them!!! Look at Lotor especially woah mama 😳

Season 4 was mediocre to me at the time, I will confess, for a lot of different reasons. But then season 5, man... SEASON 5!!!! I remember it was March 3rd, 2018. I wasn't keeping up with the show anymore, but I just so happened to see an article online that said season 5 had been released the day before on Netflix. I told my sister and we decided, "eh, let's watch at least the first episode."

And we watched the first episode, alright. And then another, and then another and another until we watched all six episodes in one sitting. We were both blown away! Lotor... Allura... together???? 😲

Their adventures, their chemistry, their clear attraction to one another... I was OBSESSED!!! I shipped them hardcore after that. They were and are still my #1 OTP, and it's because of them that I really tried to work hard and improve my art! I wanted to draw them all the time, making mini comics and AUs, and while their tragic ending actually left me in tears and I was upset for a really long time, I can now say that I have been able to heal and move on from it--eh, mostly anyway, haha.

It still hurts, but 5 years later I feel that I've matured and come to a greater understanding and acceptance. I have come to really appreciate how perfect they are for each other, both aesthetically of course (cuz lookit that sexual dimorphism babeyyy) as well as the many, many things they have in common. I have also come to appreciate their flaws, their imperfections, and the mistakes they made regarding each other and their relationship. They may have gotten a sad ending, but they were still truly equals in every way. It's just beautiful, and my love for them now is stronger than ever :')

For Lance and Pidge on the other hand, it's not quite as clear as when I started shipping them! I remember rolling my eyes at Lance and Allura's first meeting, like "okay Lance is one of THESE guys, here we go 🙄"

Other than that I didn't really ship Lance or Pidge with anyone! If I'm recalling correctly, I don't think it wasn't until after season 6 that I started shipping them together. I remember reading metas and analyses of their relationship that people were making in anticipation for season 7's release, and the more I thought about it, the more I started to really like the idea of Lance and Pidge getting together! And there are definitely subtle hints throughout the earlier seasons of Pidge's feelings for Lance, as well as their fun chemistry with one another, like the episode "Space Mall"!

The hints are not so subtle to me now, but back then it wasn't until I watched season 7 that I actually became hopeful that they could be a couple! I especially loved the moments when Pidge indirectly called Lance "cute, in a creepy, hideous sort of way" lol, and when Lance become very protective over Pidge in such a way that I don't think we ever saw him react before! I was honestly taken aback by that moment!

And again, their ending was definitely less than satisfactory, particularly Lance's ending (still hate it with a passion), but just like with Lotura's relationship, I have also come to appreciate many things about Plance's relationship today. While Lotor and Allura have so much in common and are able to reach an understanding with each other that they can't with anyone else, it would seem at first that Pidge and Lance are far too different to be compatible. And it is true that they are very different, but for one, that can be a good thing! The foundations of some relationships are built off of their differences. It can make someone more compassionate and more open-minded when they have a willingness to accept and appreciate the differences they have with their partner, and a willingness to take a genuine interest in the things that their partner is passionate about, even if they don't completely understand.

And two, at the same time, Pidge and Lance DO have things in common! They both love their families, both have a stronger connection to Earth compared to the other paladins, and they are able to bond with one another over fun pastimes such as video games! How cute is that??!

And just like with Lotor and Allura, I also love Pidge and Lance for their flaws. It did take me a while to come around to Lance, because while he has his funny moments and one-liners, I also found him very annoying at times lol. But I think the fact that he can be really annoying honestly makes him the most realistic character in Voltron. Not necessarily the most relatable, at least not for me, but definitely the most human! Because there are people in our real lives that we love and cherish deeply, but they absolutely have their moments where you go, "ugh, you're so annoying and it really frustrates me when you act this way" but we still wouldn't trade them for the world 🥰

And just to draw one last comparison between Lotura and Plance, I especially LOVE how incredibly different the two pairings are even from each other! To me, Lotor and Allura are sexy and passionate, while Pidge and Lance are pure and fun! They're all so unique and special in their own ways, and they bring so much to the table, both for their characters and for their relationships.

I can't help but write essays every time I get asks, I'm so sorry lol 😭 There's so much more I could say about these guys, but I think I'd better stop here haha! I had a lot of fun writing about Lotura and Plance, and I hope you had just as much fun reading this! I really love these characters a lot. I'm so incredibly grateful that they exist, even if in the form of fiction, and I'm even MORE grateful that my love for them has continued to grow over the years. Thank you so much for the ask!!!! 💖💜💙💚

Oh and one last thing: we were robbed of a lot of different potential interactions with a lot of different characters, but I have to say it would have been fun to see more of Lotor and Lance interacting with each other! Lance was always acting out due to his jealousy, while Lotor on the other hand mostly just ignored him lol.

I like to think Bonnie often goes off on his guitar during live performances (leaning towards it sounding like heavy metal) n often forgets he's playing for children LMAO

The kids love it regardless but the gangs like "dude again?" His longest solo was like a good 3 minutes...

He craves to have artistic freedom, I'm assuming the rest do as well tbh

Imagine hearing Freddy practicing his vocals, since we see chica shredding her guitar in her spare time I wonder if he dose the same?

I bet Freddy also likes to help whichever staff member is doing heavy lifting n he sees them struggling with the cargo n just goes "Oh please it's the least I can do! You all do so much for us, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourselves."

Bonnie gets excited hearing stories that the staff members tell him (if he's friends with em) about the outside world...

He LOVE'S it when they share their favorite music with him! He likes to analyze the guitar solos n usually that sneaks into the next concert hehe

He wants to go outside so bad...he often looks outside any windows and wishes he could just step outside for a bit...

This is also something I think the rest have in common.

They are happy working with the kids! They love their job! They would just like to feel the sun n quite literally touch grass...at least once!

Going back to Bonnie loving carrot cake he dose actually have a slight problem with it similar to chica...just don't leave your slice unattended with him, like a magic trick it'll disappear ✨

I like to think Bonnie originally didn't have eye liner but he saw one of the staff members have some on and he just told them "I want that! Can you put that on me?!" And ever since then it's been a part of his iconic look

Freddy laughs to hard at simple jokes like dad jokes kill him, which is why when he tells them sometimes he can't finish the joke 💀

His laugh is so cute n contagious 😭♥️

Everyone groans but they laugh at Freddy's reaction anyways

Bonnie's laugh is dorky, he snorts on occasion and the others call him out n he gets embarrassed

All in good fun of course!

If Bonnie were to blush I like to imagine that his whole face goes red like you can always tell when he's flustered hehe

Honestly I believe Freddy has that classy rizz, like he's such a gentleman, he'd court you properly is all I'm saying

As for Bonnie he's flirty, if he likes you he'll be teasing you a lot

He likes to bully his crush a tiny bit by making em all flustered, and yes he challenges you to bowling quite often!

All in all these boys have a heart of gold

I think a lot of students have a crush on Crewel, but for a lot of them it’s just Stockholm Syndrome lol He is so strict that when he suddenly compliments his student, they begin to melt… I think Deuce suffered from that once or twice, this poor boy.

Getting married to Idia is such a check-mate to him that he is very possessive over Idia… all of that is true, of course, but not the only reason why Azul feels the way he does.

Azul did end up falling in love with Idia overtime because underneath all of his greed and ambition, Azul really wants companionship and genuinely enjoys being with Idia and spending time with him. He enjoyed playing boardgames with him, enjoyed solving puzzles with him, he enjoyed all of these things and he has a big soft spot for Idia that he doesn’t want to acknowledge properly. He doesn’t even think that he needs to because Idia is already his spouse, how closer could two people get? And yet, Azul craves for more, for something that he can’t quite buy with money – for Idia to be genuinely in love with him as much as he is in love with Idia. This is something that happens deep inside Azul’s heart, mind you, but it does affect the way he acts.

Idia is very aware that Azul mainly sees him as an investment, not even a business partner or anything, and he doesn’t really mind that because he never really wanted to be anything more than that, but this could also be one of the reasons Idia wouldn’t allow himself to get more invested in their relationship, and wouldn’t allow his own feelings for Azul to blossom as much as Azul’s did. There is a disconnect between them that prevents them from being vulnerable with each other and committing to being an actual couple… and none of them really think that this is something that they genuinely want or need. Whatever they have, it works, so they keep being together like that.

(FIRST THO, Mint and I also came up with the ship names DayBreak (Jekyll and Elias) and NightFall (Hyde and Elias) bc we were feeling a little silly teehee (TYSM MINT FOR SUGGESTING SHIP NAMES ILY!!) but, also ofc there's Hydas (kinda reminds me of Midas, which I think is cute since they're both blond) and,,,, most the ones for Jekyll don't really flow as well, but Jekyias is pretty good :3)

does a Mind Hyde exist in Lanyon's mindscape?? Or does Mind Jekyll just has some like characteristics that make him look a bit like Hyde 👁👁??

I think Mind Jekyll would just have some odd/intensified characteristics from Hyde. since Lanyon was able to see bits of Jekyll in Hyde before he even knew of the split, I think his mind would very quickly just connect Hyde back to Jekyll and skew his perception of Jekyll. Plus, I just don't think Hyde by himself has made enough of an impact on Lanyons life that he would get his own mind person, Lanyon barely knew anything about him and everything he learned about Hyde just kinda fed him more on Jekyll, and that's who he actually cares about. (Sorry if any of that is confusing jekvkksf english is hard rn) but!!! Mind Jekyll, right? Yeah, he would probably dislike Elias, Just like how Mind Lanyon dislikes Hyde. Mind Jekyll would probably think he's helping Lanyon (especially with how much *Lanyon* dislikes Elias) by either getting rid of (or at least keeping control of) Elias in the mindscape

I understand that) Also, poor Elias, he already has some doubt about the real Jekyll liking him, and the Mind version of him just dislikes him 😭 would Mind Jekyll ever try to get rid of Elias in a similar way to what Mind Lanyon did? .. I may be listening to Chonnys Charming Chaos Compendium in order, which *may* be swaying my ideas a bit, but I think Mind Jekyll would kinda play "nice" for a bit mayhaps? Like, he certainly doesn't act like he likes Elias, more so making it obvious that he just begrudgingly tolerates Elias's presence. As it goes on for a bit tho, Mind Jekyll would probably start getting worse, being much more open about his dislike and actively trying to lock Elias away in sections or rooms of the mindscape (maybe sometimes even with/near one of Lanyons stray nightmares?)

Elias has a *very* complex view of mind Jekyll, bc on one hand, it's *mostly* kinda the guy he loves, plus, having to deal with Mind Jekylls hatred is still better than going crazy all by himself in silence (at least at first). On the other hand, Mind Jekyll does hate him quite strongly and hurts his feelings quite often, making Elias even more likely to spiral. Mind Jekyll is probably one of the main reasons Elias absolutely detests the mindscape. Elias has certainly left the mindscape absolutely hysterical a good few times, going straight to Lanyon, because even *he's* better than having to deal with everything in the mindscape (when he's not simply forced into the mindscape and kinda trapped for a bit, of course. He basically stops going in willingly after a couple of Mind Jekylls schemes (and perhaps meeting his dad, or seeing the ballroom?))

And Mind Jekyll sort of teases him with an overly sweet tone, and says something how they can't leave just yet, to at least let him have a waltz before that and then them just waltzing and stuff. And maybe at one side it just feels very nostalgic because it makes him think of back when ~~he~~ Lanyon and Jekyll had their affair, or when Lanyon was teaching Jekyll hoe to waltz. But those memories keep getting drowned out by everything else that's going on. AND WHAT IF ELIAS FEELS AS IF THE TICKING OF THE CLOCK IS GROWING LOUDER AS WELL AND ADDING ONTO EVERYTHING ELSE, AND MIND JEKYLL JUST KEEPS TAUNTING HIM BUT AT THAT POINT ELIAS CAN'T DISTINGUISH WHETHER IF ALL THOSE THINGS ARE HIS THOUGHTS OR WHAT SOMEONE ELSE IS SAYING. And then after somehow getting away from that ((and probably having a breakdown)) he just decides that he's never coming back there, and that he refuses to ever go into his mindscape ever since, and that he'll stay outside even if he or Lanyon are sick of each other because anything is better than that?? In that time, Elias has already hidden himself away somewhere, now stuck with just Lanyon as he absolutely melts down, drowning Lanyons words out with babbled explanations and questions and apologies. Eventually, Lanyon *does* in fact start feeling kinda bad and awkward and actually starts helping the best he can

If Elias gets forced into the mindscape after the ballroom fiasco he would definitely tread the mindscape more carefully. He'd probably hide in rooms and such, deciding that the loneliness was better than dealing with all of that (or something worse) again, and if he does come across mind Jekyll, he'd probably try to run off and hide, or at least try to lose him.

Mmmm, Elias angst 🤭🤭 also!! Mind Jekyll would probably also be a poison enjoyer. I feel like Lanyon would be slightly scared of real Jekylls poison cabinet, bc why tf does that man need so many poisons, and have an underlying fear of taking any sort of potion from Jekyll. That's also probably intensified after he, ya know, takes one that splits him in two? But yeah, Mind Jekyll definitely encompasses that, lmao

But yeah, Elias does NOT get to have fun in the Mindscape. But hey, at least his clothes are comfy! And when he's in shadow/mirror form, he usually can't hear the pocket watch ticking, unless he's alone.

And, as for a question: did you know some of the Bakugans' genders were changed around in some translations? Tigrerra is probably better known (being male in the original) but in some translations (Dutch, Hungarian and maybe some others), Skyress was changed to be male. Any thoughts?

As for your question, I do know that some of the bakugan's genders were different in different versions of the show. I'm aware of tigrerra and ingram in s2, but it's interesting to hear that skyress was male in hungary.

I've only recently noticed this trope but I think runo and tigrerra were supposed to be that "bratty girl and her polite, older male butler" that sometimes pop up in anime. Maybe it's not a real trope because the only other example i have is fischl and oz from genshin impact lol, but i quite like that the eng vers gave tigrerra a more feminine voice!

I think the whole "m'lady" thing is cringe and lame because i think it insinuates a power dynamic i don't really like, esp since the whole thing about nv is how fucked it is to treat bakugan like lesser beings. i'd much rather have a partnership between brawlers and bakugan.

as for skyress, it's pretty obvious that she was a stand-in for shun's mom; given to him by shiori, has a very mature voice, and advises shun on life choices etc etc.

I think it's still possible to make skyress male while also maintaining that vibe of a parental figure, altho to make him a good comparison to shiori would mean that they would have to make him...i guess soft-spoken and super chill? That being said i think the show already has a lack of diversity in bakugan "genders" anyway sooooooooo i think i will keep skyress and tigrerra women.

and ingram too, i think they gave up tryna keep her eng va after her evo and goddamn her evo's va was so jocky it pissed me of LMAO i literally can't watch any scene with master ingram man.

Erwin could have too much to say, too many plans to execute, and more heaps of too's that renders him as overwhelming; but he, for once in his life, tried to tone it down and act in normalcy. Just like a little shark swimming alongside a school of fish, pretending ever so silently to avoid alarming its company.

Oh, bet you thought you were the only one who felt the jitters, didn't you?

He did at some point, too — at some point he might never admit. 

And when he's a few steps away from becoming a professor, he ponders about quitting. What was once a dream inspired by his father is now deemed a big fish imparting the same alienation to smaller fishes. He's getting quite sick of it. Pretending without a solid goal was never his forte. 

Perhaps it was your naivety that warranted a reconsideration.

It started when you went to the teacher's table and approached him instead of the professor in charge, "I think I'd opt to ask a fellow student instead of that old man," you sheepishly answered when he asked, "he's so scary — why do professors love to be scary? And you honestly seem to be way smarter than he is."

"Am I, now?" he feigned surprise with amusement still palpable, "And if he hears this first thing in the morning, what then?"

"Tell him what? That you're smarter than him?"

You were curious, quite amazed even, that he might have the gall to confront the professor about his substandard intellect.

"What do you need help with?"

You flashed him a book and flipped the pages on the particular article. "Whenever our prof asks you to pitch something, you always have additional things to say in this topic. And for some reason, the more you overtake the discussion, the more I become interested too!" You weren't able to help yourself, and that's what Erwin could see very well — eyes almost sparkling, giddy composure, and a very drawn demeanor. 

Erwin was never oblivious to his ability of drawing people's interest if he wants to, but to see someone this enthusiastic about it?

How intriguing.

Is intriguing the right word for it?

No. Oh, no.

He thought you were cute. Spare him the cliché nuances but it's been a while since he thought of someone as cute.

"And look," you scooted nearer and pointed at a page. "The author who wrote this is a Smith. Don't tell me you actually ghost wrote this? Is that why you tackled the topic so well?"

Erwin was not smiling when you went to him but now he lost the will to hide it. 

"You're really that great? Oh my, to ghost write one of my major—"

"My father. He's the one who wrote that article."

Your eyes widened and mouth formed a perfect O. Then there came a slow nod. Followed suit with another gasp. It ended with a smile — happy, much more enthusiastic smile. "Then I just came to the right person! Do tell me more!"

The dynamic then started. A very curious undergraduate, fresh in the field, and a book smart from masters, freshly burnt out, ain't an unusual dynamic to create, after all.

The supposed module written by his dad about visual communication theory was eventually followed with more diverse issues. At first, Erwin playfully asked for a collateral in exchange for his knowledge. Before you meet at the library, he'd have you treat him a parfait. If he went an all nighter with his thesis, his request upon your daily meeting would be an iced Americano. In time, the small sweets became favors. In exchange for info dumping about the French revolution and the World War (you have no idea how perplexed Erwin was at reawakening this childhood habit — everyone thought it was annoying!) you must allot a whole weekend to see him. You, so dumbly drawn over what the slimy curves of his brain could offer in humanity, never deemed it as dates. If anything, it was weekend classes on your end.

At this point, cute is becoming an understatement for him.

He played along nonetheless. He has an ulterior motive, after all — a space in his brain to accommodate more knowledge, a space intended for you. Who are you? What's inside your head aside from curiosity and willingness to cater his blabbers? What do you want to do aside from listening to him? Why do you — despite the vigor to know about the world — opt to stay as a measly listener? Why, despite your concern in human's darkly inherent nature of using others for its own gain, don't mind too much when he teases you into doing dumb favors for his benefit? 

That's what binds him to you the way you bind yourself to him. Erwin feels as though he's speaking into a smiling void, and if there's an unknown void — a gorgeous intriguing one at that — who else would be the most eager to explore it if not him?

When both of you went to the newly built Japanese convenience store and saw a pack of onigiri that piqued your cravings, Erwin finally noticed a quirk. 

And Erwin — for the most time he's been playing around your obliviousness — finally thought of taking things seriously upon noticing it.

You didn't ask him for help even if the onigiri wrap had broken and you were forced to shove all the rice into your mouth. Just like how you didn't ask for his assistance when he noticed your difficulty adjusting to university life every semester. You don't ask something that requires his action, attention, and guidance. You seek nothing of him but his blabbers, his info dump, and every measly thought coming out of his mouth. Nothing more, nothing less.

He bought you another onigiri, taught you how to properly unwrap it as both of you walked, and shoved the rest in your mouth thereafter. You groaned but he just said, "You're not just a listening outlet. Ask people for help if you need it."

You took your time chewing (angrily so) before responding, "No. I'll be way more out of your league if I let that happen."

Erwin halted his steps, "Come again?" 

"I'm no match for you. If you realize how naive and easily fooled and clumsy I really am, then things will start to get annoying on your end. Let me impose myself as someone knowledgeable, independent, and all the things that you are, okay."

Oh no.

Erwin let his face flat in utter hope that you wouldn't notice the corner of his lips shaking. He wants to chuckle, to tease you, to coo as he finally cups your cheek and kisses your forehead because of how plainly and dumbly adorable that statement was. He already knows how naive, easily fooled, and clumsy you really are. He's the one who would before anyone else.

Above anything, though, Erwin was pleased, very pleased because he unleashed a facet of you. Finally, finally revealing something about you aside from a perfect company for his eccentricity. The fact that this facet of you is also frustrated at the possibility of losing him gave him a tremendous gush of warmth — gushing, gushing, and gushing towards the unstoppable urge of offering a proposition.

"The only time naivety can be bad is when people start taking advantage of it, and even then it would not be your fault."

"It will be my fault!" you disagreed, "and it will be a hassle for you who's so used to being so independent! Don't you think I've been childish and irritating all along?"

"How so?"

You gave him a puzzled look, there's no way he seriously didn't think of that.

"How so?" He took a step nearer.

"Someone as brightly independent as you are would not deem people like me so pleasantly," you cut yourself off from that. For all the times you had listened to Erwin, you just know how he would debunk what you just said. "T-that's what I initially thought, hence the question."

"You didn't answer my question." The proximity tightened. Erwin was not smiling, not a hint of amusement plastered on his face too. Only an inquiry, or perhaps a resolve to shatter how low you deem yourself. "Am I childish for not hesitating with my blabbers? Do I come off as irritating when I ask you out during a weekend like this?"

"No, you would never!"

"How do you see those, then?"

"I am fond of it, that's why I stick with you until now. I am—" Heat crept up your face. You realized where he's headed, and with his resolute yet patient face you just know he won't let you have your way out of this. "I am… fond of your eccentricities. Even if people find it annoying."

"Uh-huh," the sharp blonde also sensed your awareness, hence his tone came more urging. "How do you think I see you then?"

Your cheeks puffed and eyes averted from his, perhaps your futile attempt of resisting something he had already established very well.

Erwin repeated as he called your name, "How do you think I see you?"

"Tolerable," you uttered weakly.

He let out a strained chuckle, "Really? You really would opt for that word?"

"It's getting cold, Erwin. Let's just—"

"Am I just someone tolerable for you, hm?"

His tone was, in fact, a well-defining factor that he very much knew the answer.

He knows you like him, just like the bright sharp man that he is.

"Look at me."

You did, though with a slight glare. 

A stern command followed, "Answer my question."

"You know the answer."

"Answer my question."

"I like you! You're not just someone tolerable. I like you. But!" You still tried to argue, "I'm not the same as you are, not as redeeming as you are, not on par with your league, and even though I sound like someone with inferiority complex, I see this as a serious glaring factor. I'm just—" you frustratingly sighed, "—not someone really dependable and compatible with you, Erwin. Not with the likes of you."

"The empathy, the headspace to handle my company when most deem it as overwhelming, the willingness to stay despite the pile of eccentricities, all with genuine interest — you say that as if I never find these as the most endearing."

Your cheeks tightened further. The hot feeling compensated for the outside cold. You looked at him with surprise, only to be met with resolute eyes.

"You had an inkling about my affection but chose to ignore it because of how you see our relationship," upon observing your further surprise, he added. "And now you're finally realizing how wrong that is."

"I'm sorry."

He stayed silent.

You took a step forward and tugged the end of his sleeve, "I'm sorry, Erwin."

But he's not angry. He's still more pleased than angry. He won't let you out of this without gaining a worthwhile result, after all.

"Despite listening to me most of the time, you still seem to assume a lot of things."

"I know."

He raised his brows, face softened but still taunting, "And what does that mean?"

"You win this one now, okay. I'm sorry. Don't get angry now."

"Oh, I know. I sure won this one."

The supposed glare was quickly replaced by surprise when he cupped your cheeks and kissed the tip of your nose. 

"Right?" he whispered.

Here he goes, as bright as he usually is. The collateral exchange for his knowledge, the sweet treats turned into sweet favors on the weekends. You really did treat your time with him as classes, but he was a subject you very much loved to tackle. And if you're apparently someone who could lovingly coexist with him despite your unredeeming qualities, then you'd gladly give him the honor.

You defeatedly sighed, "You always do, Erwin. You always do."

He hummed and held the tip of your chin with his fingers. Before going for the lips, he whispered, "Can I get my reward now?"

Oh, you felt your heart swell. As his broad rough hands play around your waist, you tipped his head to your level and ever so slowly, indulged on his win. He took it with sweet vigor — pulled you towards him as if he couldn't have you any nearer — and cupped your cheek much harsher than earlier. He didn't stop until you were seeking air. When he let go, he gave your swollen lower lip a small peck.

"Have you accepted my apology, though?"

Erwin chuckled lowly and buried his head at the crook of your neck. His large build sought support — leaning on you with arms engulfing your waist. He kissed a spot on your neck and replied, "I earned my win fairly. Earn my forgiveness with the same competence."

"What should I do for the smartest man in humanity to forgive me?"

"Let the smart ass love you for all he could."

Dengrea, one of the fastest swimmer, weirdest marine biologist and resourceful ocean/underwater caves expeditioner in the foundation. They’re just a silly little guy that may or may not have interest in cannibalising their teammates, friends and most humanoids around them… very normal and silly. On the outer exterior they seem cold and maybe a little bit of a rude stuck up prick but they’re just autistic with a little bit of sass (hehe snag sass) tho they’re actually a massive cry baby, that loves affection but is bad at it and have the worst case of self control when it comes to cuteness aggression, basically just a silly guy. They’re childhood friends with quite a few of the people in the foundation that’s their age like in their 20s *cough cough* Lilya<3 but they opted to worked alone for a few years now~ only recently they’ve been put in teams with others.

Origins: unknown, found in a lab as a little snag.

They stand at 5feet tall, usually find them in their diving suit, helmet, a leather jacket and leather flared pants that’s easily removed. They’d either be somewhere “working” in an underwater cave or find them napping in the lab.

Their rarity is a 5*, Beast type that doses reality damage and is categorised from the beyond section in the files.

I’d like to keep their naga form the same cuz I still like the “fluffy” feathery giant fat hognose snake. Their scales are long, sharp and shaped like feathers, it’s not the best for slithering on land and is a bit too heavy for flying but it makes up for being very fast underwater and any wet surfaces. Also I like to add that in their insight II they have snakes slithering around them on their body.

They can fly but it requires a lot of energy and is a bit slow… as they’re made for diving and all that jazz

Then their relationship with Lilya<33 it’s kinda weird cuz I didn’t make them a thing I just made them friends cuz.. well I was a Tennant simp and yeah.. but I realised I kinda like Lilya more sbhshiuhdkj but how I’ve decided to do this is they used to be pretty good friends but grew distant later on in life so it’s a bit awkward for both of them.

Silly little facts: lesbian, gay gay gay homosexual gay. If they don’t have their helmet on they will just chomp anyone… they have a sweet tooth like cake, sweet snacks and the flesh of mortals. They sleep for 2 hours(when they’re in bed) a day and 8 hours for naps (I know weird but this is at work) they’re pretty efficient in their field of work, it’s just their work ethics comes into play when you find them napping on the labs floor… which isn’t a good look…. For them, basically a silly guy… or a weirdo both works.

I've been playing around with the eyes~ I like these ones best. The eyes are bigger in the 1st one, and the others have them a bit smaller. The 1st one has a more innocent look. The 2nd has more slitted eyes and a "seductive" look?

Judar has sharp (tsurime) eyes and rings in his eyes, which are really fun to draw hehe 🤗

I'll redraw the hair soon! I just drew it quickly in like 5 minutes. It's finals season for me. I'm not fully free from this semester so I'm still quite busy, but you'll probably see small doodles from me 🙏

I'm definitely seeing art improvement (improvement in brush strokes and anatomy and proportions)

Ohtaka deliberately draws hatched lines near Judar's eyes to represent his eyeshadow 🤭 ❤️

I drew the hair quickly, so I didn't pay much attention to the shapes of the hair spikes so it's not as soft. But even with the quick doodle, the hair has better weight now. Once I get to refine things properly, I'll actually pay attention to the way his hair spikes are drawn.

I was recently rereading my old dialogue scripts from my JuAli AU and revamping them! I doodled Judar and Alibaba SO much in 2022. It's the Fire/Ice duality and Black Cat x Golden Retriever ship dynamic 🖤💛🐈‍⬛🐕

I wanna draw JuAli again soon and redraw my old doodles. JuAli is my main Magi ship so ofc I wanna draw lots of them~ I haven't gotten the time yet, but I want to draw my ships like AliHaku, SinJa, and KouMor eventually, too 🙏✨

Judar rambles

I originally drew Judar wearing hanfu in 2022! Still one of my personal fave doodles ❤️ Judar is my fave (no one is surprised, I have the most obvious predictable tastes in the world LMAO). A meow meow mf perfect for my tastes.

Judar fits perfectly into the highly specific Sen-core niche that my top faves all tend to fall under - Meow meow mf. C*nty sen-core bastard cat who's violent, threatens people, and ok with murder. Bloodthirsty. Monochrome aesthetic colour palette.

Manga Judar has red eyeliner (?) and anime Judar has purple eyeshadow? Both are good, but I like Judar with red eyeliner since black and red are his theme colours! 🖤❤️ I like how the colours pop, the contrast against his design, and how it matches his red eyes.

In my HCs, Judar wears a type of hanfu called Ruqun (襦裙). Ru (襦) is the cross-collared top of a hanfu, and the wrap-around skirt is called Qun (裙). The coat jacket is called Da Xiu Shan (大袖衫).

I want him to wear black, white, red, gold, hanfu & hanfu earrings, with red eyeliner and black painted nails 🤗

I still need to pick my headcanon hanfu earrings for Judar... I imagine they'd be gold with red accessories.

I just have to refine the eyes, redraw the hair and hanfu, and then start doing the lineart for it! I love the expression tbh

Additional rambles

I miss my sons, I wanna draw my HC designs of JuAli (with Judar wearing hanfu and Alibaba with tanner skin, wearing traditional Arabic clothes), as a fix-it for the obvious colourism going on in Magi's character designs of SWANA and South Asian inspired characters

I bought black and red hanfu back in 2023. I based my Judar hanfu doodles on it 🥺❤️ It's in Judar colours. Black red and white 🖤❤️🤍 I'm so HAPPY to get something that reminds me of my fave 🥰🤭❤️✨ I got it from the Hanfu Story~ They have such a large selection of hanfu and they're all so gorgeous~

Basically Judar themed hanfu~ I love traditional clothes, so it's my dream to collect them! Now I can use it as refs to draw him with the poses and lighting I want teehee. Hanfu & huafu look GORGEOUS to me. I also have Việt Phục like áo dài and áo tấc~

The colours are amazing!! I love black and red combo 😭💖 It's way too easy to fall into the fashion hole and collecting traditional clothes but I definitely want more in the future!

I love how Ohtaka stylizes and draws the shape of Judar's hair and braids. It's so clever how she simplifies the shapes. It just looks so good. It looks galaxy/tornado shaped… I love how the hatched lines above his eyes in Ohtaka's inking represents his eyeliner... ❤️

Judar's expressions from Ch. 110 - 111 are so unhinged… The Ch. 288 omake Judar is iconic. Fucking crazy ass LMAO 😭😂 Love you tho! 💞🫶

I'll be honest. I've thought about changing my PFP to this Judar again from the Magi omakes, like I thought of doing it as an April Fool's joke before, but I feel like no one would bat an eye cuz of how my faves are like LMFAO

Sen-core faves: Murderous, bloodthirsty, violent (or at the very least, has a disposition for violence), MAY eat people and/or their innards 🙌

Art rambles

When I sketch, I draw out the expressions and decide which ones looks best (I either do it once or a few ~ several times) depending on whether I'm satisfied with it. I like the two most recent 2024 versions I showed~ The old ones are still nice... But I prefer the recent versions, because I think it shows how my art style and proportions improved.

These sketches are super messy right now so when I get the time I'll refine them more! It's just to make it consistent with my current style. I'm a little insecure about my sketches, so I prefer to keep most of them on priv for mutuals.

Since I'm not really a fan of the idea of my sketches/WIPs getting posted around when I'm bound to fix/refine/improve on them later when I get the chance to refine them. Though thankfully with my 2022+ lining style, my sketches look more "aesthetically nice" or "post worthy" to me...

Perhaps in the future... I do genuinely like my art style and I'm very happy with my art improvement, but I want to keep growing as an artist first. I want to reach the point where I manage to become more technically skilled and confident about my works (even my sketches)

After Work

[8pm]

It was already night, and you were still waiting for Dad to eat together, something you really liked because you could talk to him about things you learned in class or show him the drawings you made.

You were in the living room on the floor, drawing a sea bunny on a piece of paper with your new watercolors that Dad gave you for getting good grades.

"Just a few more dots, and done!" you say to yourself as you finish your lovely drawing.

You look at the clock and Dad hasn't come home yet, so you get up from the floor and look for a maid. You walk down the hallways with bare feet until you find one washing the bed sheets. You carefully touch her dress, and the maid stops her task and looks at you.

"Do you need something, dear?" the maid asked politely, and you nodded your head.

"When will my dad be back? I want to eat with him and show him my drawing," you asked in a low, soft voice, being shy about your question. The maid sighed a little, observed the time, and realized it was almost 9pm. She bent down to your level and patted you on the head.

"Be patient, dear. Your father will arrive soon. Remember, he works a lot and often comes home late," the maid explained to the child, who simply nodded.

[10pm]

The little one was still drawing and waiting patiently as the maid said, until the front door opened. The child got up and went to the door to greet his father.

"Dad!" he said, running towards him and giving him a hug.

Derek, a little tired, put his briefcase aside and picked up the child while walking towards the living room, where the paper and watercolors were scattered.

"It looks like my little artist was being creative," Derek said, holding the child and looking at his drawings.

"Yes, I made a lot of drawings while you were gone, Dad. I was waiting for you so we could eat together, like we always do," the child said excitedly, hugging Derek's neck.

On the other hand, Derek had a slightly sad expression. He felt bad for making the child wait just to eat and chat together.

"That's really thoughtful of you, dear, but I think it's better if you don't stay up and skip meals waiting for me," Derek said as he put the child down. "When you see that Dad is going to be late, eat regardless of whether I arrive late," he said, bending down to his level.

"But... I don't want to eat alone," the child said sadly, looking at the floor.

Derek sighed tiredly and said, "I know, I know, but Dad doesn't want you to go hungry while waiting for him, so just do me that favor, okay?" He patted the child's head, and you nodded obediently.

"Good, that's a good boy. Now tell me, what did the maid prepare for dinner?" he asked his son as Derek walked towards the stairs to go to his room and change clothes. You started to follow him. "Today, the maid made lasagna!" you smiled as you answered your dad. "Mmmh, lasagna, that doesn't sound too bad. I hope it tastes as good as it looks," he said, taking off his tie and shoes.

[A few minutes later]

Already at the large elegant table, the maid served you both your portions. Derek began to eat, just like you.

While eating, Derek started the usual chat. "So, tell me, did you do your homework and tasks?" he asked while eating the lasagna calmly. "Yep! Today I did my homework, read, and drew! Today I drew a sea bunny!" the child responded enthusiastically. "Sea bunny?" Derek asked, raising an eyebrow at his son. "Yes, I drew a sea bunny. It's my favorite animal," the child said, leaving the table to fetch his drawing to show his father. "I made a drawing of it," he handed him the papers. "Oh... It's quite cute and interesting," Derek said, looking at it and sighed. "Maybe I'll frame it and hang it in the house." The child just nodded, and they both continued talking and eating.
