i like to think of jam as such a “would you love me in another universe” type of relationship. or what could’ve been? that’s what feels so tragic to me. like - jay could’ve been the only other somewhat close relationship tim had in his life other than brian. or if they had met under different circumstances, would it have been healthier? or even how jay felt? he said it himself he wasn’t exactly doing anything pre-mh. hmm. he felt less alone; but i can only wonder how else it could’ve gone if they were close in another scenario. or ; if they could’ve met in a less depressing part of their lives. they are like a book with the last pages ripped out!

Dante’s dynamic with most people is to front anything but how he really feels as it keeps them at arms length. You could say that for everyone here, really—it’s a matter of how much said character can see through his bullshit. Of all mentioned here, I think Lady is the one who can see straight through him. Trish has learned with time and the more she grapples with what it means to live and act as a human being should.

Morrison KNOWS dante, but I don’t think he knows his mind, or his heart like the others do. He’s a broker first and a friend second. Patty I imagine feels stranded a lot of the time when it comes to Dante as his efforts to keep her safe also means that he “leaves her to her own.” Being that he was a child who lost everything once, he would absolutely not want the same for Patty.

Trish is like a cat, I think. In that she comes and goes as she pleases, and is affable to only the ones who know her. Dante, lady, nico is a fresh (hot) head in the game but I really don’t think she would trust her the same as lady or Dante.

Lady is a bad bitch, and only really allows herself to be softer, to have her guard down, around those she trusts implicitly. Which is. Maybe two people. She’s an ardent defender, she’s headstrong and also takes it upon herself to defend those she thinks are unable to take care of themselves. Dante and lady share that in common, I think.
