Omygod. Okay first, I think the God being dead for the longest period is such an interesting concept I read something similar like this before in a fic (adamsapple) called 'the devil you know /by anglotron' so I like it, kinda explains why angels would be put in so much work (do drastic choices) if God isn't there to guide them and solve things for them or just get involved but I also love the concept of him not giving a f*ck shjsiahdwiwbs after Lucifer's fall/betrayal he was just left hopeless for anything; his most "perfect creation" (Adam) corrupted by evil and then his most "perfect angel" turned out to have been the one to bring said corruption. (he may still care for Michael and Jesus tho but like it's hard for him to care about the rest) and letting all his children figure it out themselves (poor Sera), like, I can picture him just as depressed like Lucifer in the show issisofksos but unlike him who copes with making ducks, God just lays in the couch mopping about how disappointed in humanity he is and how "perfect" everything was before he planted the damn apple on earth, while he bosses Michael and maybe Metatron too (tho with him he's a lot more harsher bc he was previously human and he's kinda just bitter about them in general, but he's proven his worth enough) around to bring him shit like ice cream or junk food (tho he could easily just summoned all those things he subconsciously just wants company and Michael is there to bring it to him the only angel that has not yet disappointed/maintain loyal to him). So yeah.

Anyways — I still like the concept of God actually being dead. Like when you say Michael has a halo do you meant like he holds on to God's halo? Cause that's kinda cool af, imagine him just holding on to the halo of God (maybe even pitifully hopeful their father would return 'saving it for him') so he just has the halo on him and everyone just "oh shit this motherfucker really could just end it all if he wanted to" but Michael just doesn't cause 'with great power holds big responsibility' type of mentality and I think it'd be funny if Lucifer confronts heaven and is in a determined search for Michael to provoke him and remind him he's still the most perfect of all God's creation (mosty just salty as hell bc Michael cast him to hell lmao) and then when he finds Michael he like comes up with a taunting comment about how bad heaven turned out to be Yada Yada that neither realm is perfect or better than the other, and BAM suddenly his eyes drifted to Michael's head and recognizes the halo.

"Is that—...!"

"Yeah," Michael simply states defeated in his chair, unfazed by his brother arrival, from all the chaos going on, his people being murder, just, done, "father's gone, Lucifer."

So they just stare at eochother in silence, Lucifer with a stunned almost hurt expression and Michael with a nonchalant one. After the realization hitting him like a truck Lucifer realizes there was no end to the chaos released to all realms after Charlie unintentionally brought it to them if God wasn't there to fix it all...

Fear overwhelming him now cause he was kinda chilled out about the whole thing knowingly God would have to intervene soon because heaven was also being attacked by evil- but now realizing he's dead, it like hits him hard, mostly worried for his daughter's fate more than anything else.

Then, another thing hits him, "wait! What aren't you doing anything?! You can fix this, Michael! You have father's power, we can-"

Michael lifts his hand to signal him to stop, "I'm not planning to do anything."

"WHAT?!! Do you realize your people are also being attacked!"

"Your daughter brought this among ourselves, now, she must find her way to solve it."

"But she won't be-"

"Silence. If she was able to bring it to us then she's more than capable of putting it back. If not, that's no longer my problem"

"YOU-!"

"No, Lucifer," he stands up, the power of God emitting through his aura, the millions of eyes on him, big six graceful wings extended to show their full on glory, eyes bright like the intensity of a star. His voice was much more deeper and cold, distant, detached, "I lost everything because of your silly dream of free will, and now redemption. Look at where it lead us, prove me wrong this time, if it doesn't succeed then it was meant to be that way. Accept your fate.

I would create something new, something different. Something that won't betray its kind. No longer you existing. It will be perfect."

Lucifer felt so tiny now. That was no longer the brother he once knew. Not the caring, gentle, protective fiercely warrior that he once was.

Only filled with rage, grief and pain.

Michael... is dead too.

But anyways with all that, somehow lets say both Charlie and Lucifer mange to remind Michael of his love for the countless souls left at his hands to care and protect. And I dunno maybe a song too ahdhdiqgsjahsia and what gets the cake is Michael seeing Adam alive, behind the two, who somewhat stumble across their intervention in a 'bad timing'.

"Hey bitch you forgot your tampon— oh shit! Wrong room," Adam (now sinner) appears at the door oblivious of the whole deal.

"Adam!" Charlie shouted annoyed as they were already, almost, having a heartfelt moment between her father and Michael.

Michael eyes watered, "ADAM!" He pushes past Charlie and Lucifer who are now just confused as fuck seeing how Michael (filled with new growing hope) crushes Adam in a big hug with all the intensity of his power and somehow it was till so gentle and careful that it didn't kill Adam.

And the first man just there struggling to get loose while also suffocating.

Idk I just like Michael still having to be the hero even in circumstances where he doesn't want to. So the universe just grants him a purpose for he to keep following up God's title for him. If he wasn't gonna do shit because he lost Adam? Then BAM! Sinner Adam is now a thing so keep your ass moving Michael!

Michael now wants to fix things up to keep Adam safe; his new purpose (reason) on protecting heaven, his people and the countless souls God left him in charge with.

1. Loki (MCU)

As much as I love everyone on this list, there is absolutely no competition for number 1. Loki has been my favourite character of all time for nearly 6 years now (because clearly the best time to join someone's fandom is after they've just been murdered), and is showing absolutely no signs of being replaced anytime soon. I have a Loki blog, for god's sake. The brodinsons are my favourite relationship in any kind of media, ever. I love them so, so much. Loki's a million different things and feelings, all at the same time, all fighting with each other, which makes for a wonderfully complex and nuanced character. Also, he's hilarious. Look at that eye roll. This is a man who hates his life, which makes me feel better about mine. Thanks, Loki.

2. Klaus Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)

As will become obvious throughout this list, I love me an emotionally traumatised crazy person. Klaus is that. One of the characters who makes me laugh the most, ever, show-stopping dress sense, and a bucketload of unresolved trauma which goes largely ignored by Klaus, the other characters and the narrative itself? It was love at first sight. Their banter with the other characters, especially Ghost Ben (rip) is one of my favourite aspects of the show. Here's to hoping that Klaus won't be getting the Allison treatment in season 4!

3. Pippa Fitz-Amobi (A Good Girl's Guide to Murder)

I binge-read the entire AGGTM series earlier this year, and instantly fell in love with it. Pip is one of my favourite protagonists ever. Impossibly clever, compassionate, obsessive, badass, and a teensy bit unhinged. What's not to love? I would die for her. I'd say that I'd kill for her, but I think she's got that covered. I think she's written in a very realistic way, firstly as a genius 17 year old girl who doesn't really know what she's getting into, and later as a haunted individual who wants to stop investigating but can't. The way she politely knocks on people's front doors to dig up their traumas, accuse them of murder and all-round ruin their lives is everything to me. She is my blorbo. I am so, so excited for the show to come out, and I'm sure that Emma Myers will do a wonderful job as Pip!

4. Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games)

One of the best-written characters, in one of the best-written series ever. Reading from her perspective is such a delight- she's endlessly suspicious of everyone around her, constantly on survival mode, trusting very few people and relying on exactly no one (to begin with, at least). She's a random teenage girl, from the poorest district, and she wins the Hunger Games. She's so mentally unstable that she has to be sedated, and still she's made to be the face of a rebellion. She's rude, and kind of unlikeable. She adopts all the weakest tributes, at risk to herself, knowing that they won't win. She's doomed to fail by the narrative. She's the it girl of 2010s dystopian YA fiction. Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actress, who does a beautiful job portraying the depth and conflict of Katniss in the films. The themes and social commentary of the Hunger Games is one of its (many) strong points, and I am so so glad that people are talking about it again, because it is my favourite book series out there.

5. Mitchell Pritchett (Modern Family)

I have no idea what to say about this man, I just love him. He just like me fr. What an icon. Impeccable music taste. I've started saying, "no my god" now, and nobody understands what I'm talking about. Even in a sitcom, my favourite is the one with issues that he refuses to talk about or fix. The episode where he's trying to hide that he dressed up as spiderman makes me cry-laugh. Claire's speech at his wedding makes me just cry. He's not a perfect man, but he's certainly better than everyone else.

6. Shin Tsukimi (Your Turn to Die)

My favourite cringefail loser! I said Katniss was doomed by the narrative in a metaphorical way. This idiot is actually doomed.

No but in all seriousness, I do really love him. Before the beginning of the game, he was just a relatively normal young man- but, when confronted with the inevitability of his own death, he made himself into a monster to survive. He has a violent vendetta against the local badass teenage girl, who is traumatised as hell already and does not need Shin chipping in as well, thank you very much. I love his relationship with Kanna, his biological sister; how he uses her, manipulates her, and still cares for her so much that he dies for her with a smile on his face in the Emotion route. Conversely, in the Logic route, his actions are a direct cause of her death, and I just love how much YTTD hates siblings. I hope that his past with Midori is explored more in either a mini-episode or the final part of the game, because I find it sooo interesting. I'm super excited to see whether he actually has no chance of survival, or whether he makes it out, against the odds, on one of the routes. He's a bit useless, so I won't get my hopes up.

7. Rue Bennett (Euphoria)

I think it goes without saying that Euphoria has its issues, lol. Sam Levinson is an idiot. While a lot of the show (especially season 2) feels shallow and like it doesn't care about its characters, Rue's storylines always have heart and depth and I am so invested in her arc. It's no wonder that Zendaya won 2 Emmys for this role, because her acting is phenomenal! Rue feels so real to me, in the way that she's trying so hard to stay sober but she falls down and relapses time and time again. Recovery isn't linear, but she's getting there, and I adore her with all my heart. Her relationships with Lexi, her mother, her sister, and her sponsor, Ali, are my favourites, and the healthiest for her, in my opinion. Her brief friendship/ romance with Jules may have kept her more solidly sober than anything else in the show, but Jules (understandably) cracks under the pressure of Rue's mental health, and can't be there for her. Rue needs to heal for herself, which she appears to be doing at the end of S2.

8. Max Mayfield (Stranger Things)

Duffer brothers, please just let her be happy.

Despite only being introduced in Season 2, Max has, in my opinion, had the best character development out of everyone on the show. Her growth from someone standoffish, rude, and uninterested in the group (maybe I'm being a bit harsh. She was, like, 12) to someone who is willing to risk her life to help her friends and Hawkins means so much to me. The scene in "Dear Billy" (S4, Ep4) where she escapes from Vecna remains my favourite in the whole show and will probably be burned into my brain forever. Her relationships with Lucas and El are very sweet, and some of my favourites in Stranger Things. Her final line in S4, after all her struggles over the season, being that she doesn't want to die literally breaks my heart. I hope she gets some degree of a happy ending in the final season. She was my first profile picture when I joined this hellsite, and I love her a lot.

9. Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables)

The shenanigans that this girl gets up to never fail to make me laugh. The bit where she accidentally dyes her hair green and then has to hack it all off makes me feel awful for her, but. it's hilarious. Sorry, Anne. Her friendship with Diana is so sweet but also so funny to me because they really are the most chaotic duo of the 1880s. The scene where Anne accidentally gives her alcohol instead of fruit juice is so mortifying but so, so funny. Amidst all of the insane situations that Anne gets into are a lot of really heartwarming moments and relationships. Matthew and Marilla adopting Anne, even though they wanted a boy, because she's so endearing and alone in the world is probably what made me who I am today. I still haven't gotten around to watching Anne with an E, but I've heard it's amazing. I look forward to watching it when I have the time :).

10. Daphne Blake (Scooby Doo)

My first ever favourite character! Another one who I don't have a tonne to say about. She's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment. She has done nothing wrong, ever. She knows martial arts, so watch out.

Just realized how much I love the way you write your Miguel. Like instead of oversexualizing, making him animalistic or just straight up a dick (even tho he kindof is sometimes, let's be honest-)

I just love how you dive in his current trauma (not too long ago his mom got zombified like marvel give bro a break plz), include trust issues and his mental problems, while not breaking his character. You made him stubborn, a little proud, but still show slight vulnerability, and so many unsaid words. Hell, you might be one of the best Miguel writers I've ever seen on here!

I love the slow burn in NC, it makes Miguel seem more like a real person, with unbearable trauma and trust issues, who's main way to 'cope' is "by leading a society of Peter Parkers who can't pay their rent on time" (from the ATSV artbook), and as someone with a mental health too similar to Miguel's I can see myself in him (THAT'S A COMPLIMENT) with a slow build of trust

While I sometimes do enjoy a bit of smut, most of the time, it's too fast. Too quick, like- CALM DOWN LADIES (and gents), I DON'T THINK MIGUEL'S GONNA EAT YOU OUT ON THE COUNTER IN THE KITCHEN LIKE EMPANADAS

But omg, thank you!! I appreciate the kind words so much, and I’m happy that you love NC!Miguel and the slow burn! 🥹 Also, I’m glad you appreciate the acknowledgement of Miguel’s issues, traumas, and mental state within the fic. I’m no expert; no psychologist nor professional writer, but as the story expanded, I decided that I’d like to dive into Miguel’s story a little more, this being a Spider-Man Miguel fic after all, and one that’s attempting to portray Miguel as realistic as possible (or at least the way I see him and think he’d be like), so that entails including his issues, traumas, and mental state, too.

I know this has led to some chapters being a little delicate, overwhelming, and/or sad (and I’m sorry to anyone who has ever felt down or cried reading NC because they resonated with this content, or the emotions got a little too much. This has never been my intention ):), but I believe it’s important to address, especially because his issues, traumas, and mental state overall are big contributors to his behaviour and mindset in ATSV. As I said, I’m no expert, but just from what I learned in college and have learned throughout the years with personal experiences (seen close people dealing with similar issues like those Miguel has faced and is facing), I know healing from such traumas is important to move forward with life. I also know it takes time, which is a big reason why this fic is a slow burn.

I want Miguel to find himself in a healthy and positive mindset, learn to trust others, and know that he is worthy of love and friendships before he finds himself in a romantic relationship. I’ve yapped too much, but I’m glad that you appreciate that, even though these can be sensitive themes/discussions. Thank you! Also, I’m touched that you can see yourself in NC!Miguel and how he slowly begins to allow himself to trust someone. I hope that as the story progresses, you can continue to see yourself in him in a non-harmful way (I never wish to portray mental health negatively nor disrespect/offend someone)! 💖

And hehehe, your comment about the smut and empanadas has me laughing! 🤣 But I hope you can find more fics with a slower pace regarding that aspect though! So what I want to discuss today is the love language of our boys. What love language(s) do you think they each excel at and which one(s) do they struggle with the most? Do you think their love language(s) have changed since the beginning? Do you think they still excel or struggle with a certain one(s)?

I would also like to pick your brain on your thoughts of how they protect one another — how they protect one another physically, how they protect one another’s peace, how they protect each other mentally, etc! 🩵

I love these questions!

So, as far as I understand it the love languages are: words of affirmation (compliments) / quality time / gifts / acts of service / physical touch. (I’m going off wiki so hopefully I’m interpreting these correctly!)

I think they both excel at physical touch now (but struggled at first - Mickey not wanting to let Ian get too physical outside of sex and Ian having to hold back). But now are very comfortable with physical affection.

I think quality time comes easy to them as well - I think they really enjoy spending time together but also really appreciate that they can do so now.

I think they can be good at words of affirmation (compliments) sometimes - they do come out with some great lines in canon (“what you and I have makes me free”/“you are so much better than that”) which I feel fit into this category. I don’t think they are great at it all the time though and certainly weren’t at the beginning. I like to think it’s something they are getting much better at now but I think it might be their weakest one in some ways.

Gifts is an interesting one - we don’t see a lot of this in canon (Mickey buying the vitamins and Ian giving Mickey the money at the border are two good examples) but I think they are probably good at it. They’re not always great at verbally communicating so giving a thoughtful or useful gift might be easier for them? I think Mickey is better at giving useful gifts and Ian is better at giving meaningful ones.

Both are good at acts of service in their own ways - Mickey’s definitely good at caring and romantic acts (rolling on the cartel for Ian, planning the anniversary party, doing his best to take care of Ian when he’s sick) and Ian is good at caring and supportive acts (helping with Terry, getting Mickey a job at the Kash and Grab, organising the singer/guitarist to play at their wedding). Again, I think this ties in to gifts? Because they probably find it easier to do things sometimes rather than say things.

Very interesting question about how they protect one another! I think they are obviously very good at protecting each other physically- I think maybe Mickey does it ore than Ian, just because he’s got a bit of a shorter fuse. But they will both have no issues with protecting each other physically if it seems like the other one needs it or wants them to step in.

I think they know a lot (if not all) of each other’s trauma and so I think they try to avoid certain topics or things, or check in if something happened. I think the deleted scene where Mickey asks if Ian getting fired in s11 is a trigger for him is a nice example of this - I can see them doing something (an act of service) to take the other one’s mind off whatever might upset them and then asking if they’re ok.

I think in general, they’ve always wanted to protect each other and haven’t always been able to so now they try hard to, and it’s something they get better and better at as time goes on. (Has anyone written a five times Ian and Mickey protect each other fic? Because that would be a great topic for a fic!)

Pyro was very understanding and thoughtful when it came to your sensory issues. Whenever you had trouble with certain lights or sounds, he liked to lend you his spare gas mask. You couldn’t hear or see as clearly in it, which helped you calm down. You could also join him in Pyroland with it on! Pyro’s favourite thing to do was skip around with you there

But if he didn’t have an extra mask on him and you were feeling overstimulated, Pyro covered your eyes or ears with his hands. He got pretty protective over you, pulling you close and hiding you in his chest if you let him

Being snuggled up close to Pyro’s suit was super comforting. When things got bad, he loved nothing more but to let you cuddle up into him and rest your senses. The loveable little firebug would even hum you a song

Engineer💖

If you had sensory issues with loud noises, Engie tried to pipe it down when you were around. Because he liked it when you came to visit him in his workshop, and didn’t want to scare you away. So when you spent time with him while working, he steered clear of anything with loud bangs or zaps

Similar to Pyro, if you had trouble with any bright lights, he lent you his goggles to wear. They only dimmed the lighting down a tad, but it was the thought that counted. Engie also thought you looked so cute in them!

When with you, Engineer was always on the look out for anything that might trigger you. He was very protective over you, and it ripped him up to see you overstimulated

Spy💖

Spy understood your sensory issues. I mean, it was pretty easy to overstimulate while living with Team Fortress. He let you come hide away with him in his smoking room. It was the perfect place to relax if you had a sensory overload

You sat next to Spy by the fire, finally feeling some inner peace again. He was sipping on some scotch while passively flipping through a magazine. He was purposely trying to be quiet so you could cool off. You knew this and loved him for it

“Thank you, Spy… you’re a pretty great guy.”

Spy was kicking himself for it, but felt an unreasonably large amount of pride hearing you say that. Like he’d let you know that though

“De rien.” Spy muttered passively, not looking up from his magazine (he was giggling on the inside)

Heavy💖

You did not need to worry. Heavy would keep you safe. If he could, he’d crush every stupid little thing that gave you sensory issues to dust. Please tell him one of those stupid things was Scout. He’d love to crush Scout

You were lucky to be around Heavy most of the time. Because it was rare that anything he did would overload you with sensory issues. Er, well… unless you knew him on the battlefield. When at war, Heavy was loud, and fired this big, mean minigun. Being around that definitely wasn’t good for your mental health

Like said before, not to worry. Heavy never acted like that around you. With you, he became the softest, most gentle teddy bear of a man. He kept you close at all times, loving to snuggle or soothe you

Heavy may of acted like a saint when cuddling up with you, but if anyone rubbed one of your senses the wrong way? Dead :)

Sniper💖

“Nah, don’t worry, mate. Come hang out with me in the van!”

You could’ve considered yourself lucky that Sniper invited you into his camper… um, I think? It wasn’t like he ever let anyone else in there

Sniper felt for you. He didn’t like seeing you overwhelmed with sensory issues. It made him sad. :( so he often stole you away to come chill in his van. He kept the lights down low, as to not hurt your eyes. And he even offered you some coffee or a beer

Sniper kept stealing glances of you from across the camper, quietly taking in the subtleties of your beauty. He wanted to sit in this warm, comfortable silence with you forever. Little did he know, you felt the same way

“Thank you for letting me come in here, Mr Mundy. I really appreciate it.” You said softly

Sniper had to stifle the wobbly smile that tried to force its way onto his face

Scout💖

Scout finally learned how to keep his big mouth shut. It really hurt him the first time you flinched or shied away from him because he was being too loud. He felt so bad that he made you feel that way. Later, Scout caught up to you and set his hands on either of your shoulders

“I’m so sorry. I promise—I swear, I’ll talk less… loudly. I didn’t mean to scare ya like that.” He rambled

Your shoulders shook under his hands as you chuckled softly. “You’re so sweet, Scout. Thank you, but it’s okay.” You smiled

Scout was about to protest, to say he didn’t want to overstimulate you in any way… but you cut him off with a small peck to his cheek, making him blush deeply

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN I’M TALKING TOO LOUD?”

It took Soldier awhile to understand your sensory issues. He didn’t get at all that him yelling right in your ear was making you feel bad. Some of the other mercs may of needed to explain it better to him

Once Soldier finally realised what his constant yelling at you was doing to your mental health, he was very sorry. He didn’t mean it in a malicious way at all. In fact, quite the opposite! It was one of his ways of showing you affection, believe it or not

Soldier now resorted to more… conventional ways of expressing his love for you. Instead of shouting or firing weapons near you 24/7, he tried being quiet! :0 to show how sorry he was for causing you grief, he hugged you a lot more. He also made a good habit of whispering sweet nothings in your ear

Demoman💖

Demoman felt a little useless when he first found out about your sensory issues. He didn’t know how to help you. He usually just tried to make you laugh, which wasn’t hard. Especially when he was shit faced

If certain lights or bright screens were hurting your eyes, Demo just yanked the eyepatch right off his face and gave it to you. He covered one of your eyes with it, then shielded the other with his hand drunkenly

“Is that better?” He slurred

You couldn’t help but find his hasty attempt at soothing you cute. “Yes, Demo.” You laughed. “Yes, thank you. That helps.”

Spending drunken nights with Demo were a great way to steer clear from all things triggering to your senses. After a certain few drinks, he grew quiet and sleepy; the perfect cuddle buddy. Demoman loved to snuggle up close to you in your bed

Medic💖

Medic came up with many experiments and concoctions to improve your sensory issues. Don’t take it the wrong way. He was only trying to help! (I wouldn’t take anything he actually gave you though)

Medic got super cranky with the other mercs if they accidentally gave you a sensory overload. Whether it be by their loudness, weapons or unnecessary explosions, there was always something going on that was gonna shake you up

Medic hated seeing you all upset over loud noises or bright lights. It killed him to know there wasn’t anything long term he could do to help you

“Medic, stop it.” You shook your head with a smile. You wrapped your arms around the doctor in a warm hug, nuzzling into his chest. “You don’t need to worry about me. I’m fine! Everything’s all good.” You reassured

Medic pouted, throwing his own arms around you a moment later. “I know, dove. I just…” he sighed

Octomer Ratchet is so good. I can imagine any chromatophores he might have going wild while pursuing Drift, if he has any natural camouflage abilities.

Perhaps he plays a game with Drift, hiding among coral and rock formations in order to "sneak up" on him, his usual brights reds and whites distorting to match their environment-- Maybe arousal causes some colour changing as well?

IDK I just really like the idea of Ratchet changing colour (or at least hues) like a mood ring lmao maybe it even frustrates him a bit, like oh no my fucking chromatophores are going to give away this huge crush I have -- he might try to hide in corals or swirl up a bunch of sand with his tentacles initially

If Drift is a land dweller, then maybe they figure out Ratchet is interested in him by studying how Ratch's colours change, and what patterns/colours only appear when Drift is around...

...and maybe Ratchet's attempts at hiding/playing hide and seek (lol) are mistaken for aggression at first, because they don't know why he's doing it

and then they guess it's some kind of broody behaviour, like maybe he's trying to defend a nest or egg clutch that he doesn't really have?? Because Ratchet's grumpy but not usually aggressive and it's weird behaviour from him as far as they're aware. So then he gets a little pity from the facility staff but it's hilarious because he does want to Do It but all the guessing isn't quite right. Like yes it's about Doin It and Eventual Eggs but not in the way they think. Communication Issues lol

Hmm a really clear concept just came to me... Security guard Drift at the marine research facility, Ratchet is the only mer there who constantly avoids him, so he just disappointedly assumes he gives Ratchet bad vibes

One night when he's on a skeleton shift, he passes by Ratchet's tank and suddenly notices that something is fucked up with the filtration pumps (or whatever I don't know how aquariums work)

He immediately makes an emergency call to the aquarium techs who are at home. They tell him to get Ratchet moved till someone arrives to fix it. So he's hesitantly going up to the tank like, "hey buddy I know you dont like me, but I gotta pull you out of here for a bit, it's not safe" Ratchet quickly pulls himself right into Drifts arms... and now he's carrying a big squirming octomer. Drift's pretty surprised, but he brushes it off as Ratchet wanting out of his tank

When Drift finally gets to the temporary tank he expects Ratchet to jump from his arms and signal for him to basically fuck off... instead, he goes to put Ratchet down, only to get pulled into the tank with him. Now he's sitting in chest high water, pinned by a heavy wiggling octomer in his lap

For Ratchet, life is good 😎👍

Drift, meanwhile, is mentally repeating "don't get hard" like a mantra, while a purring Ratchet's tentacles caress every inch of his plating. Since it was the middle of the night, they have to wait a good bit for someone who can fix the pumps to get there and make Ratchet's tank safe again...

Maybe, as the hours go on, Ratchet gets a bit friskier... or maybe he just leaves it at intimate exploration, because he's too busy watching Drift whimper and twitch underneath his tentacles <3

the first thing that i’m seeing is that his inner child wounds will be deeply triggered - especially any abandonment wounds that he may have. he seems very selfish and he’s leading himself down the path of being completely alone. many people will put up boundaries with him, and he’s going to be haunted by the past. he’s losing connections with people who could’ve been of extreme help and value to him. but his selfishness is what will push everyone away. he’s going to suffer from either mental health issues or maybe even spiritual damage. he could be getting spiritually attacked by someone, and this is deeply effecting his psyche. if you have put any spell-work on him, it’s working. spiritually and mentally, he’s definitely going to be fragmented. i’m seeing major depression. he’s going to have to know that you’re living life completely for yourself without the need for any help from him. any boundaries that you put up with him is going to really bother him too. you could have siblings who also cut him off, and he’s going to be followed by all of his fuck ups and mistakes when having to think about this. he’s plagued with peter pan syndrome. never wanting to actually grow up and mature. being a child in an adult’s body while being a mess of a person at the same time. his karma is mainly you protecting yourself from him as well as many others. this is what’s leading him to his loneliness where he has to sit alone with his thoughts that he can’t run away from. he’s going to have to see you live life in the way that you want to and lead yourself to accepting yourself radically and relentlessly - something that he has never done for himself. which is probably why he tries to tear down anyone’s self esteem that he can. but he’s going to be left as the lonely, broken person that he tried to harm other people into being. he’s not going to feel any type of happiness or fulfilment. at all. aries energy is prevalent here.

your father is going to really have to pay for whatever he’s done. he’s manipulative. constantly trying to lie and change the narrative of a story. particularly regarding with what happened within the home or your childhood home. he’s going to have to face major judgement for this. there’s a point where he can no longer lie, and i’m seeing him face a lot of backlash from others - maybe extended family. whatever secrets that he’s keeping is coming to the frontline. if your father is weird af in his relationships - like dating much younger women, or teenage girls, then i feel like this is something that is kept quite hidden. there’s a repetition of the home as a topic in his karma. if he’s abusive towards a partner, i’m seeing this partner telling someone about it. perhaps contacting someone like a family member from “back home”. he’s going to be a puppet on a string for someone. this could even be something extreme like blackmail for some of you, from the very same person who he assumed was too naive or easily-controlled to take a stand for themselves. he’s going to be forced to ask for forgiveness. he could literally have to “move back home”. whether that’s with a sister specifically or some other family member, and this would be due to losing his home. i’m getting a really sick message, so feel free to skip the following sentences: your father could be a major creep towards you. he could’ve completely been inappropriate with you in an extremely sick and weird way, and if that applies then i’m extremely sorry that you had to go through this. but this is the secret that will cause him to be exposed for who he truly is. you could be the person who he thought was too under his control to actually expose anything, but i’m seeing that you know exactly how fucking weird he is. he underestimates that. and this doesn’t have to be anything like extreme abuse (although it definitely could be) but perhaps this is about your father being emotionally incestuous and treating you more like a partner (putting weird ass standards and expectations onto you, your body, what you wear, etc) than his own fucking child. he’s getting so much karma from this. overall, everyone will eventually turn his back on him and he’ll really be put into the position of asking for forgiveness. not that this would make any difference.

The fact that there are people not willing to understand the political commentary being made with The Boys is not only mind boggling, it irks and disturbs me. I am begging people to please try to understand and stop being so childish about what they don't or maybe even look at the world around them to see why what's being presented might be more relevant than they realize.

1. The show and comic are satire. They make political commentary in often the most crude way it can be presented whether you like it not. It's fine if you don't like satire or political commentary but don't sit there and complain about it when you knew what you were getting into before it got this far. Nothing about that has changed. If you are someone who unironically takes satire seriously at face value rather than trying to listen to the message? I can't help you, sorry.

2. If I see one more complaint about Homelander not being killed in Season 3, I'm going to lose my mind. There were thousands of people in Vought tower. Thousands. Including Ryan, Becca's son. If you're someone who thinks all of those people should be sacrificed so the "goal" of killing Homelander can be accomplished? Congratulations, you think exactly like a war criminal. Fuck the "fuck Ryan" crowd.

3. Homelander's not just played by the best actor or is the biggest draw of the show, killing him off is so shortsighted. Not just because losing him would ruin the show. There will always be more "Homelander"s as long as the root causes creating them are allowed to fester and continue to exist. If you think killing Homelander will solve all of their problems and everything will be 🌈✨🌅☀️🦄🦋🌈💖🧈🪰🌈 if or when they do this, you are missing the point of this entire series. They are literally using Ryan to exemplify this.

4. The fandom misogyny against Starlight is so transparent. She's not without faults, but she is the least "traditionally masculine" woman on this show and I think that says enough. Her goal is to neutralize and damage the credibility of Homelander without pushing him directly over the edge because she doesn't want millions of people to die at the expense of "scorched earf" like William Butcher. She's quick thinking and does what she needs to in order to survive in a moment and try to protect people, but in case people forgot? She's following Hughie. Hughie is the one who gave that speech about saving everyone, even if they don't deserve it, especially if they don't deserve it. He is the guy asking why violence is their solution for everything and he has always been that guy. Why are people blaming Annie for Hughie doing what he does best and being an actual good guy that promotes goodness in the people around him? If you're going to be mad, at least be consistent. If you don't like moral lessons or questions being presented to you through media, I don't think the superhero genre is for you.

5. William Butcher is not the hero of this story. He never was and never will be. He does not have good intentions, and he never has had them. This isn't even a case of "the road to hell" or misguided pursuit. He knows what he does is wrong and does it anyway and makes this very clear on multiple occasions. This has always been the case. The guy literally "fridges" his own wife and people are actually surprised he would cheat on her? He is on an adjacent boat to Homelander as far as severely mentally ill men in dire need of help go, the main difference being that Homelander has little to no understanding of how his actions are "wrong". Butcher may actually be worse off than Homelander as when you look at their issues, at least in some ways, he's more like an evolved state of Homelander or the "next stage" of depravity. That is why he's been building Homelander up to his level so they can fight. To say either of these men are beyond saving is deeply hypocritical and commits the exact same moral failing that William Butcher is practicing. Hughie is the real hero, die mad about it.

6. This show is reflecting the current political climate and pointing out the faults of both "sides". You can't dehumanize another without first dehumanizing yourself. If you know anything about America or even the world, you'd know that some people are being forced to live in these sorts of environments. We literally have a real threat looming over us. White nationalists want to take over the country and implement a conservative hellhole dictatorship. They have a whole balls to the wall plan for this! I want to throttle half of this fandom for being so stuck in their own privilege that they won't take a second or two to think about the people who can't afford to not live through this.

I live in constant fear of what could happen to me and my family. I don't get the option to tune it out or pretend it doesn't exist. I live in a red state. I don't have the money to move. I'm pretty much everything the modern Nazi despises.

And yet, there are people in this fandom complaining about political commentary that is directly reflecting our current society, parodying and satirizing it to try and put forth an extremely important message before it's too late.?

I need people to understand this. Not want, need. My life is literally dependent on whether or not people will understand these things before it's too late because of where this country is headed. I wish I could say it wasn't that big of a deal but I can't. I can't because I don't get the privilege of living in the part of the world where it wouldn't be. Please, I am begging, begging people to take a moment to please look in a mirror, self reflect, and consider "why". Consider whether or not you might be part of the problem because we all have our bad takes, bad days, lapses in judgement. No one is perfect and that's okay. We live and we learn. Lighten up on the faults of others, lighten up on your own faults.

I really like learning so I really would love the opportunity to keep living so I can do that, but I'm scared out of my mind. I'm terrified and it's not just for me. Please, please, I need people to understand.

7. The Trump stuff is funny. It is! Donald Trump is funny if you don't think about the inherent dread of him having political power. I would love to be able to laugh and cringe at him flailing and failing and being ridiculous without that looming threat of the damage he could do on the world. I would love more specials from John Oliver with the breath of relief that Trump won't ever be given political power again. That's where the Homelander Trump metaphor comes in. That's what Homelander is supposed to give us, a way to rehumanize Trump but also reiterate why he should not be given political power. If you're bothered by it then again, this is satire. Satire is not made to be taken so seriously in that way and you will be much happier when you stop doing that.

Please. Please. Please, please, please, please, please. Please vote. If Trump gets elected again, I may actually die and it may not even be from conservative witch hunting.

I fell severely ill back in 2016 when Trump was elected. I broke out in hives the day he was inaugurated. The entire time he was elected, my health continued on a steady decline and I am still trying to recover. I'm not joking. I know how it sounds but I am not kidding at all. I don't know if it was an allergy or what but I have no idea how my body will react if he is elected again but whatever it is, I don't want it to happen.

I just want to be able to enjoy my favorite shows and or comics and live my life. I want other people to be able to do this too, but that can't happen if we keep rejecting every prompt we're given to self reflect.

Tired. Tired, tired, tired. That's only word that's flooded your mind lately.

You're exhausted and everyone can tell. Drama with family at home being written to you in letters so many that even Wind has noticed the postman dropping by at least once every few days. On top of all the constant battles and bickering between the boys, everything has left you both physically and mentally exhausted.

As the sun begins to set, Time orders the boys to set up camp for the night. When you go to help, he calls your name.

"(Y/n). Stay here, sweetheart, I need to talk to you."

You sigh, going through the list of things in your head that you could've done wrong. He sounds stern, but not necessarily angry... You're not sure. You've always had a hard time reading people anyway. As you watch the boys split up, you step closer to the Old Man.

"Yes?"

He sighs, bending down a little to meet your eyes. Slowly, he brushes a bit of your hair out of your face with a gentleness you didn't know he possessed as his one good eye gazes deeply into your own, much like a father would. He sighs again, speaking softly.

"(Y/n), what's going on, darling? You look so tired... What's been going on with all these letters you've been getting? It's unusual."

You sigh, shaking your head.

"It's... family drama, they say they want me home and it's all bullshit..." you grumble while crossing your arms.

Time raises his eyebrows. He was unaware you had such issues at home, and to hear you speak of them in such a disgruntled way is... out of character for you, he thinks. You're such a ray of sunshine to the group that he would have never guessed your home life was rough...

His hand moves to your shoulder.

You take a seat next to him a bit awkwardly. He senses your nervousness and smiles a bit more, gently pulling you into him. You're a bit surprised at first that he'd taken the initiative to do such a thing-- but you're definitely not complaining. You shift, getting more comfortable against him.

After a few minutes, you're out like a light. The Old Man can't help but chuckle as he strokes your hair.

He nearly got his first race win there in the big guys league (once he'd say Max stole from him his first win, but he's over that now, it's funny to look at his own face on the podium in 2019, all constipated and full of rage…), he pulled some shit on Sebastian a few years back, he went through hell and back in his red tractor, and now, in the year of the Lord 2022, he's savoring the sweet sweet taste of champagne on the highest step of the podium (not without some issues, let's be clear, the goddess of bad luck always looks over him). 

His left foot keeps on twitching after he spent the last few laps pushing like a maniac on the brake pedal when he found out that the throttle was stuck open at 30% whatever he did, but he's enjoying the contrast of the cold champagne and the hot sun on his skin, he will complain later on the debrief with his team, he has time before he can mentally prepare to hear whatever nonsense Binotto usually talks about.

He's ecstatic, he's had an amazing battle with Max, one of the good ones, those that Arthur, his brother, defines as niquer sur la piste, fucking on track.

Charles shakes his head as he keeps on spraying champagne all over his team underneath the podium when he feels someone spraying him with the force of an oceanic wave. He hears an amused laugh, an happy laugh, Max's laugh, before getting drowned once again, Max soaking the back of his racing suit and his neck with precision and a stupidly fond grin.

Charles closes his eyes and starts spraying Max weakly, trying to clean up his eyes a little. He tries to protest but he can only manage to shoot a fond look at the Dutchman and some stupid noise comes up from his throat. Weak idiot. 

Lewis looks at them, a mixture of intrigue and embarrassment dances on his face, a mixture that tips dangerously towards the I am going to plot something for you two you can't even imagine… 

Max and Charles keep on dancing around each other, the Dutchman vibrates when he steps next to Charles for the official podium picture. Lewis can't look anywhere but at the point where Max is squeezing Charles’s waist so hard. The Monegasque has a content dimpled smile on his lips. Happy and merry.

They wave around for a while and they get back inside, heading towards the press conference room. It's a trip, across various buildings that usually makes a nice walk, but for Lewis those ten minutes are atrocious torture.

He's been left third wheeling with the two idiots and their strange sexual tension. Max keeps on talking with Charles, getting way too close to him than a normal person explaining turn 10 should, but Charles doesn't seem to mind, he walks funnily around, nearly squeezed against a wall by the Dutchman's body, but careful not to step on Max's feet. He can't put even half an inch of distance between them.

Pathetic, Lewis thinks. For the first time in his life Lewis wishes he came fourth and avoided a podium.

It's painful to look at Charles staring at Max's lips and wetting his own with the tip of his tongue every ten seconds, it's even more painful to see Max get all touchy with Charles, a tap in the shoulder, a little touch on his waist or a squeeze of his hand.

The worst thing is that they're both painfully oblivious to what's happening. Aliens in their own bodies. This makes Lewis mad. Max precariously balances his trophy and the bottle of Champagne in one hand as he keeps on gesturing things to Charles with his free hand.

Pathetic, at least I had the guts to kiss Nico in a broom closet, Lewis thinks.

That's when it clicks.

Lewis Hamilton has walked on the ugly carpet from the podium to the conference room enough times to remember that there is a broom closet on the left, twenty steps ahead of them. He looks around, nobody is coming, there's no FIA officials, no journalists, no photographers or team members. Lewis laughs under his breath. Max and Charles still pay him no mind. He overtakes them, walking a bit faster, and opens the door of the closet. He gets lucky the keys are inserted in the keyhole.

"This way, guys, we'll get there quicker," he says and Max and Charles follow his words, too engrossed in their conversation to realise what Lewis is doing.

"Have fun, boys, see you in fifteen-ish minutes or so!" Lewis says when they're inside, before turning the light on and closing the door, locking it from the outside.

Max and Charles stop talking. The Monegasque look at the other confused before realising what is going on.

"He locked us in a broom closet! Mate, what the fuck do you think you're doing?" Max asks, putting the trophy and the bottle of champagne on the ground to bang on the door with his palms.

"I'm doing myself a favour, fuck it off before I have to endure more third-wheeling, I'm not Checo," Lewis says, he's on the defensive side.

"We are not together!" Charles splutters and Max passes his hands over his face. 

"Well, pride month ended a few weeks ago, you're still on time for new discoveries, bye bye!" Lewis says and walks away.

Charles lowers his trophy too and takes a big gulp of champagne. When in Rome… Max looks at him and blushes. The ugly yellowish light in the closet is too close to Max's head, heating his black Pirelli cap. The problem is not the lighting per se, the problem is that the Dutchman's shadow completely engulfs Charles, and their little height difference feels multiplied by a thousand.

Max gulps down loudly. He wants, he's been wanting all weekend. He's not been subtle at all, especially on the podium, he's been pretty gay while Bizet's overture de Carmen was playing. But Charles, naïve Charles, didn't tell him anything, he just looked at him with those happy green eyes.

"What?" The Monegasque asks, tilting his head to the side, squinting a bit because of how harsh the light is on his eyes.

Max shakes his head. Shut up, Max Emilian Verstappen, don't you dare talk! If you talk there's no way you'll get out of this with your sanity intact, he thinks.

"You were definitely going to say something," Charles mumbles, touching Max's chest with his index finger, keeping it there.

"Are you drunk?" Max asks.

"No? Are you?"

"This is not a clever answer," 

"Yours wasn't a clever question, Max," Charles says, wiggling his brows.

Max wants to bang his head against the wall.

"Please, don't, don't do this to me," Max says.

"Doing what?" Charles whispers, staring at Max's blue eyes.

"You know what,"

"Oh, c'mon Max, Max I'm just honest Verstappen, be direct with me,"

"What? You, what do you mean?" Max asks.

"You're not the only one feeling this…" Charles whispers, tangling his hands behind Max's neck.

"Rot op Charles," Fuck you Charles, Max whispers before kissing Charles avidly.

Charles’s hands tangle in between his hair, pushing him close to his mouth. The Monegasque whimpers impatiently and Max kisses him, taking care of savoring Charles and the lingering champagne taste in his mouth. He may have a champagne kink.

"You are insufferable," Max moans as Charles takes his lower lip between his teeth. He lets it go slowly, driving Max mad.

"Tell me about it," Charles says, his lips nearly touching Max. He keeps Max there by the hold he has on his hair. It's a game Max unfortunately likes to play.

"You take my wins, fuck, my poles, my mental sanity,"

Charles laughs, he latches his mouth on Max's neck, sucking a bruise right on the border between his neck and the fireproofs. Noticeable. 

"Pick me up," Charles orders, kissing him again.

Max without thinking twice sets his hands on the Monegasque's legs and lifts him up. Charles latches his legs on Max's waist, groaning when their crotches line up and grind against each other.

"Keep going, baby," Charles whispers in Max's ear, nibbling the lobe.

"Fuck you," Max says, slamming Charles against the wall and grinding into him.

"Hm, that takes time, Max, we don't have it now… Unless you'd like me to fuck you here, while others have the key to this place," Charles whispers, tracing a lazy path of kissed on Max's jaw, making him shiver and falter a bit with his ministrations. Max whimpers.

"Oh… So you have a thing for voyeurism? Is that so?" Charles continues, swallowing Max's answer with his mouth.

Max keeps grinding his painfully hard cock against Charles', not caring if he comes across as desperate or as if he comes in his pants. He's going to clean his race suit and his fireproofs with his cheeks burning with shame, so he might as well take advantage of it.

"Come on, baby, come for me," Charles whispers, clearly affected too.

Max would tease him but he has to concentrate on keeping his moans quiet and not dropping Charles as he comes pathetically in his pants.

Max breathes in Charles’ neck, trying to calm down as Charles whispers sweet nothings in his ear, playing with his hair.

"My life is so fucked right now…" Max whispers and Charles grins before kissing him again, this time softly.

"Welcome to the club, baby" Charles mumbles on Max's lips. The Dutchman smiles.

They hear some fumbling with the door knob but they don't care that much. The post-orgasmic haze… The door slams open and Lewis and Checo look at them. The Mexican looks disgusted.

"Lewis, pinche pendejo, you didn't make the situation any better, look at them, this is going to be a problem for me! Un pinche maldito problema!" Checo shouts.

Max keeps Charles’ legs on his waist, not bothering to take his hands off his ass.

"What the fuck was I supposed to do, Checo?!" Lewis shouts.

"We never speak of this again, do you hear?" Max says to the two men standing in front of the door. Charles keeps on kissing his neck.

"Only if you two avoid eye-fucking every chance you get," Lewis offers.

"We need to talk about things before concluding this contract, non?" Charles says and Max rolls his eyes fondly.

I like to imagine that he clears/gets a shelf for you in his bedroom. It's not at all a nudge of trying to get you to spend more time there with him, why would you be thinking that, unless you want to spend more time- *coughs*

I think he'd like it because the nights that you're not there, he can look over and see a history of books you curled up with, enamoured by their pages. If he couldn't sleep, he'd go over and nab a book to read, thinking about what lines captivated you or bored you. He'll likely get a laugh if he notices you left some notes in between the pages.

Primarily, the shelf is useful for him when he leaves on trips. He doesn't nessacarily read them when he's out, but he'll smell the pages, getting a comforting lingering of your scent mixed in with the pages.

He'll also like to tease you over some titles being more raunchy than the others.

I think having kids is something he has a knee-jerk 'no' to, mentally. Maybe outwardly as well, even if it's you asking. But you asking would cause him to think a bit more on the subject, try to grapple over how bad it is.

Realistically... I don't think he could, just because of the endless possibilities of when he does croak, as we don't know if its years down the road or much, much sooner. And while we'd probably brush away the fact, he would not be able to. Roderic would have to pretend to be him for the child, if that happened. If it happened later in the kids life, would they be able to hide it? would roderic be a good replacement?

More importantly, would the child inherent his terrible health? Would he want to subject a child to a similar life like his?

He'd want a child, after all that thinking, but only because he realizes how closed off the option is for him even with finally having you by his side.

I feel like, in terms of likes and dislikes, there will be times hwre he does not communicate them at times. But specifically primarily only with your cooking.

He loves to eat what you make for him- it's a showing of love from both sides, and it's a bit of his obsessive nature kicking in on the down low as well, so i feel like at times when you mess up the exact sweetness, whether too little or otherwise, he'll still eat all of it up. It's from you, after all- he doesn't want anyone else to have it, nor to throw it away after the work and time spent. Besides, if you have to spend even more time fixing it, that just steals time away from him being able to whisk you elsewhere to play...

i am continuously thinking about how he could have been if he wasn't born into a live of royalty. About the way he could have been free to be caring, the way he'd likely go out of his way to help the people in the town he lived in, the way he'd be such a source of knowledge and wouldn't be awful about it...

I don't think about it in a way of "this would make gilbert better as a chara", I think of it in a sad way, that royalty really fucked over his life so irreparably and left so many scars, and I just feel bad. hiiiii <3 okay so first of all i admit i don't read a lot of essays! but here are some collections that i read and loved:

miami + slouching towards bethlehem + south and west + let me tell you what i mean by joan didion are all really good. joan didion's style is unique and reading her writing never gets boring. love all about these.

intimations by zadie smith is a little tiny collection of essays she wrote during the pandemic and the various quarantines, and i think zadie smith is a brilliant writer and i really enjoyed this.

what white people can do next by emma dabiri because i am a white person who wants to be better and this little book is filled with very well written and interesting essays.

the fire next time by james baldwin technically consists of two "letters" about racism and how americans (and all people) need to react to it and deal with it.

carry by toni jensen is a sort of memoir sort of collection of essays about her life as an indigenous woman in america and about race and police brutality and gun violence.

we are never meeting in real life + wow no thank you + quietly hostile by samantha irby are collections of very funny essays about her life and pop culture and they're light hearted and great.

little weirds by jenniy slate which has whimsical little essays as well as stories, i think she has a really delicate way of telling her point of view (really looking forward to her second book coming out later this year!)

minor feelings by cathy park hong is a very interesting and important collection of essays slash memoir about race and her experience as an asian american.

the collected schizophrenias by esmé weijun wang i first picked up because there's history of schizophrenia in my family and this book absolutely allowed me to see the issue from a very different perspective. it's very interesting and offers a unique point of view on chronic illness and mental health.

calypso + me talk pretty one day by david sedaris were very entertaining to me. sorry i like david sedaris! i really do think he's funny!

these precious days by ann patchett is a gorgeous collection of essays about writing and books and life and death by another one of my favorite authors. i think this one is so great.

This may not apply to your AU but with regards to Valentino I can understand why he didn't want Vox to overprotect Vax. Remember that we are in hell if you are not strong enough you will not be able to live for long...

He may be a mortal, but if he shows that he is not screwed with him, at least he will be able to enjoy his life longer. I think that would be another reason why Valentino doesn't want Vox to overwhelm Vax with all his rules, after all they know how short life can be to waste it like that...

Yes, Valentino is a firm believer in tough love, and he genuinely thinks that loving Vax the way loving affectionate families do would do no good. It comes from his personal beliefs and his disdain toward loving people.

Vox's anxiety tends to top over his reasoning and rationality, which is why he considered trying to raise him with love; Vox had fleeting hope that he would manage to raise Vax with love despite being a terrible person but he changed his mind.

I personally can't say I agree, and I can't say who is right.

I think that Valentino can more easily think with a cool head because he blows off steam on others hence he has the time and energy to think things through without getting paranoid. And I think Valentnino is more intuitive than Vox and understands mental things on a deeper level. Vox tends to keep to himself and plan ahead, given his field of work, so he's more prone to stress and susceptible to having his emotions and anxiety get the best of him, so when he has to make choices outside of his work he acts irrationally. For someone who is a control freak, raising a child is something that throws him off balance

I think that Valentino did the wrong thing, because his belief and Vox's choice led to Vax being abandoned and developing issues and bad experiences . I didnt show it well but Valentino, despite having good intentions, taught him things he wasn't supposed to learn and indugled him in Val's sphere of interests.

But given who Val and Vox are, it's hard to imagine it could go differently
