i know I made a similar post about nightheart a couple months ago so ignore me but I woke up with with this thought- can you imagine HOW much the wider fandom would despise crowfeather if he was a woman and leafpool/nightcloud/etc were guys

(cw: plato's stepchildren noncon kissing)
thinking about this and how much I'd kill for (eventual mcspirk) established mckirk pre plato's stepchildren, and then THAT (it's fanart of spock and kirk clearly being forced to kiss by the platonians) happening in the episode. having LOTS of thoughts about that. having thoughts that I will eventually need to do something about tbh.
established mckirk and mccoy telling kirk & spock to leave him? established mckirk and mccoy watching the two of them refuse to leave and then being forced to kiss each other???? thinking about kirk feeling unreasonably guilty, like he cheated on mccoy, thinking about mccoy absolutely blaming himself, thinking about spock loathing the situation but rapidly and unwelcomely realizing that in a different situation - in a different situation entirely, he'd -
thinking about the tangled mess of guilt and absurd self-recriminations and thinking about mccoy saying he's a vulcan, you can't force emotion out of him, and thinking about spock brushing his thumb across his own lips, and wishing there was no emotion to force. wishing -
i am literally already working on a different plato's stepchildren fic, but oh, oh i hope i get a chance to eventually write this as well.
they beam back up and kirk wants that tactile reconnection with mccoy, but mccoy is afraid to touch him because it's his fault, and spock is pulling away from both of them and trying to rebuild his walls, and -
they're an absolute wreck, tbh. an absolute wreck!!!

GREGORY FOR THE CHARACTER BINGO THING!!!!
THIS BINGO CANNOT ENCAPSULATE MY FEELINGS ABOUT HIM.
if there was a 'whole life revolves around studying their character and enjoying how nuanced they are and how interesting it is and how good it is for the story' square I would have circled it 50 times with red glwoing neon pen

afo mom lore is crazy it's literally the last thing I expected
I'm going to be honest, I find the writing choices around that tasteless at best, and really gross in general. It's one thing to sprinkle in some edgy melodrama as a part of the narrative's backstory, I can't fault that it has it's place, but this really upset me.
Personally, I go back and forth a lot on how misogyny and objectification of female characters manifests in BNHA, but one of the conversations I think about the most was how violence is depicted against female characters in comparison to their male counterparts, where Mirko was the central point of discussion.
I think about that discussion now, because "seemingly homeless sex worker is weakened by her Evil Fetus, dies giving birth in the elements, has her corpse preyed upon by rats and her own fucking Evil Baby" is frankly indefensible, and really emblematic in that connection between misogyny and violence. It's also just very immature grimdark lit with an unnerving fascination on the interplay of Sex and Violence-core.
The funny thing is I was telling @stillness-in-green after reading the final part of her Heteromorph & Heteromorphobia series and reliving how disappointing the Central Hospital mini-arc was is that I was thinking "well at least there's not a lot that BNHA can do to disappoint me to that extent again". I should know by now, never underestimate Horikoshi. Oh well!

you know, i always find it really funny when dudebros complain about syndicate and odyssey being too "jokey" or not "taking its characters seriously" or whatever…
like, did y'all collectively sleep through "it's-a me, mario!", "i meant besides vaginas", ezio inventing the latte, bartolomeo's... just... *gestures vaguely* entire character, etc?
like, it's fine to have preferences of course, i myself prefer a more serious and grounded tone, but these are usually the same people who tout the ezio trilogy as "peak assassin's creed", call ac1 a glorified tech demo and hate on connor for being "too serious and boring", like? make it make sense!

MOE. SUMMER ALT‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
BIGGEST thing about Moe history is that for Literally Actual Years. I have been trying SO hard to get a beach outfit for it Right. I always had some aspects of it in mind (the white cover-up -- initially sheer, but I like the idea that it's a light shawl kinda like Lyon's, here). But a lot of my designs felt too feminine. Moe is about Balance. Moe is about Mishmash. Moe is about The Silly Factor. It's also unexpectedly practical and loves questionable fashion choices.
All this in mind! I think its Look really came together when I decided to give it some sporty touches. I esp love the wet shoes... and the visor works so well on it?? The little fish skeleton is a handmade accessory (not actual bones.), like its "tail" in its everyday outfit. I imagine it's jointed/maybe chain linked, so it has some movement to it! The skeleton adds a bit of edge it always has, and ALMOST. Gives a manta ray silhouette paired with the shawl (most noticeable in the topmost art! Didn't set out to do that, but when I noticed this I ran w it LMFAOO)
And. Some doodles

whats fun about barry as a protagonist vs other Morally Complicated Guy Shows is that he seriously has no ambition lol, his wildest dreams arent like becoming super rich or relishing in holding power over people, like all he wants is simple happiness, maybe career success, normal life stuff, his wildest dreams are like…. being able to have a wedding. having a kid or two. and theres something reasonable about that, it makes him relatable for a while until the show is very clearly like No dude, that is a fucking serial killer, you should not gaf! and you’re like oh right lol. it’s crazy to make such a simple desire seem so malicious but still human

A part of me wishes cr3 was fiction instead of a dnd campaign because I feel like Matt's set up this beautiful tragedy. Like, on one hand I do think it could still very much go in that direction, but would he do that to all his friends???

I want Percy Jackson to be bad at surfing.
I am obviously inspired by Nico.
Picture it- the son of Poseidon, strengthened by the sea, with the ability to control the water, who canonically skateboards- repeatedly crashing into the waves after falling off his board.
I don’t know why this image is so funny to me, but I know Nico being a natural surfer makes it even better.

my new hc is that house is stupid when it comes to love, he just doesn't get to show it as often as wilson does (he, too, is stupid with.... well. yknow. three wives, affairs. maybe it's the illusion of stability that comes with marriage that makes wilson jump to it so often... weird guy. but we're not talking about him rn)
like stacy was moved in to his place a week after they met. ignoring what that says about her, this is HOUSE. pre-infarction, sure, but still house. he himself said he would have married crandall because they were young and he had a car! he mocks the idea of marriage! (this is probably just a jokey throwaway line but Listen)
i believe that if house didn't hide behind all these mechanisms he's developed to keep people away, to weed out the "weak" ones who can't handle him, his crudeness, his disability, his neediness, he would have had his heart broken so, so many times
