guillotined because i unironically keep telling people “the ipad is great i love the ipad. the perfect productivity tool !” and “have you tried obsidian?”
#thing is. i love the ipad because its weights little and is small and you can draw on it. would never use it if it didn’t have a keyboard.#and i don’t want to do anything id need a desktop for on the go. can’t achieve that focus away from home.#wrote every uni paper ever in ulysses on the ipad. because markdown sexy#but without student discount it’s not affordable so free obsidian+stupid icloud im paying for anyway#and i have my notes synced between my pc and ipad mostly hassle free 🍾#having a lot of bags or many things in those bags whenever i’m out is stressful to me so the less#lighter things the better. ive also had this ipad pro since 2020 and it works perfectly which i think is a better track record than any win#pc laptop ive ever owned.

an hour into using obsidian and like what do you mean this was always available and free to use AND NOBODY TOLD ME
#life irrevocably changed#its especially fun for me because back in school when i didn't have a laptop and wrote on my ipad i used this notes app called bear#and it was also markdown based and has very similar structuring obsidian#so using it felt so right. and so easy#BUT LIKE ITS A THOUSAND TIMES BETTER GRRRRRR BITING MY TABLE RN#when i realised i wanted to use something software to keep track of things in the same place#i was initially thinking notion. but a) i really do not think it'll work for me because its reminiscent of a bullet journal and ive made#many bujos in my lifetime and i NEVER used it for actual productivity shit#b) their intro page literally describes the software as an ai powered workspace. i don't fucking think so#no thanks but i don't need that energy in my life rn ❤️#anyway idk why i am writing an essay on the tags WHEN I COULD BE DOING IT ON OBSIDIAN BABYYYYY GNNN#shut up al

ok. i am going to save up and buy an ipad/apple pencil bc i rlllllyyyy want to get back into art. i haven't drawn for a year and a half but art has always been one of my biggest passions and i owe it to myself to keep it up. unfortunately i am so extremely busy with school stuff and sports that i dont rly have time to engage in my hobbies... but i will make the time!!!!!!!!! in the mean time im popping open a sketchbook

#em draws stuff#henry v 1989#le roy d'armes des françois (dit montjoye)#and this was extremely fun and quick to draw which surprised me#I wonder if working on a canvas 1/4 the size of my usual one helped with that at all#usually my canvases are around 4000x4000 but I am rapidly running out of space on the ol' ipad#soon it will be just a piece of metal that runs autodesk sketchbook since I keep deleting its other functions to free up space#proper art notes. everything below the waist costume-wise is my invention since. y'know. absolute potato quality reference pictures.#may go and borrow the dvd for better quality screencaps and perhaps some costume pictures in neutral lighting#excuse my questionable french as well please#and regarding the tarot part I almost did page of pentacles for montjoy because They Have The Same Silly Hat#but six of wands had a more fun composition and a strategy I agree with on If You Don't Want To Draw The Horse Just Hide It Under A Blanket#....the idea of getting just the montjoy half printed on a shirt or something whirls through the mind. I really really do like it#and I could take the texture off and allow it to redevelop as the printing inevitably starts to flake! there's a fine plan there!#having a funky good time with this still although it feels like I broke into an abandoned grocery store and am trying to get it operational#despite that it is just me by myself in here stocking the shelves with bizarreties
