for me the strongest part of ahsoka is definitely the fact that the pacing is not hectic and rushed. so far at least it's not loud, flashy nonsense. there are silences. scenes are allowed to breathe, characters are able to react and connect with each other, and the show has a distinct tone and a mood as a result. it's almost enough to make up for the colored contacts lol

I'm... Okay? I guess? I don't know... I'm a bit confused about my whole situation. I'm back at least and that's all that matters. I get to be with my favourite person ^^ Having said that, what were you up to while I was gone? Make any new friends?
I'm so sorry something happened to you. Don't go to anymore bars by yourself, please. You can always buy alcohol at the store instead it's sold pretty much everywhere. It doesn't matter what I was doing. I could have been doing more for you.
I wish I'd been there.
I'm your favorite? Really? I'm a favorite person? I'm glad if anyone, I'm your favorite. You're special to me.

I just really really wanted to thank you for your position on the NPD post you made. I'm in the process of potentially getting an NPD diagnosis and I'm quite literally terrified of actually getting diagnosed because of the way that society and the mental health establishment treat people with NPD. Like I don't want everyone in my life to abandon me suddenly when nothing about me has changed at all just because I have a new label for mental health stuff now.
Also studies have shown that there's literally no difference between so called 'narcissistic abuse' and psychological abuse, most people who commit 'narcissistic abuse' absolutely do not meet diagnostic criteria for NPD and they're just NT people choosing to do bad things, that people with NPD are far more likely to be abused than abuse, and that most people with NPD have it because of early childhood abuse towards them (which makes it especially gross that people think people with NPD are innately abusers tbh). People who talk about it though clearly don't care about that though and just read some poorly researched pop psych article and think that they now have the ability to group people into immutable categories of good and bad.
Basically people look at people with NPD and decide that we're all evil because we're different, same as any ND trait. Like it really is what you've said, where people are saying all people with NPD are innately evil and all evil people obviously have NPD so that people don't have to take responsibility for their own actions and so they they can write off all people with NPD and not ever have to show compassion and care for us because they don't see us as people anymore. Like they really are just saying "I think you hurt other people (even if you don't) so I'm going to hurt you first because it's okay then" and it's fucking awful to be sitting there on the other end of it. My abuser was my very NT mother who abused me for being obviously autistic and now I probably have another super stigmatized ND because of it that will make people think it's okay to abuse me more because they think the world is abuse or be abused for some reason and I'm just tired of it tbh. Morality is based on choices you make and actions you take, not what categories you belong to, whether that be race, religion, orientation, gender, disability, etc.
Sorry for my long ass rant, I just really really appreciate what you said. You're quite literally the only person without NPD I've ever seen defend us against the constant ableism and hatred we experience and it just really really means a lot to me. We're not monsters, we're just people, and I think you're literally the only person who's ever just seen that and decided to defend us and be an ally to us just because it's the right thing to do (and because the ableist bias and establishment sucks). I just can't even communicate how much that means to me and how wonderful it is to not have to do it myself for once. Thank you so much!! 💜
You are welcome, and yes, people do tend to only see stereotypes and never go further than that (since it's easier to think you are right than to admit you are hurting people, it's a common denial), and for them, labeling groups of people as "good" and "evil" is okay as long as they are in the "good" group.
Not everything is black and white, in truth, almost nothing is this simple, and labeling this in this binary system of "evil" and "good" will only get people hurt.
It's often hard to get rid of the unconscious ableism we grew up with, but it's important to try and learn step by step. Now, there are many people out there, I'm sure I'm not the only one who can look further than the stereotypes, so there are many other people on your side, who know you are not a monster, and knows that this disorder doesn't make you evil.
You are loved. Be safe.
