Anyone else having an absolutely unhinged week or is that just me
#i have gone from having a reliable and secure professional job with a pension plan and benefits to completely unemployed in 4 days#(by choice. i got in an argument with my boss about responsibilities and i was like ‘look this is stressing me out to an insane level#and i don’t think i can do this. i don’t think i’m right for this. i’m going to resign’ and now i’m looking for retail jobs)#and on some level i regret it. like there’s so many things i never got chance to do and maybe i should’ve given it longer?#but my boss wasn’t budging and didn’t try to convince me to stay and i was just like.. fuck this#and literally every time i’ve seen my best friend this week (which has been several times because we’ve both just been like ‘do you want to#go for a walk so we can scream in the countryside?’ and the other person has been like ‘omg yes’) she’s had a fresh tragedy to tell me about#her niece had a miscarriage; her sister-in-law (niece’s mom) is booking herself into a hospice and both family dogs are sick#one is wearing a cone and might have to lose her eye; the other is probably dying#it’s just way too much#and i accidentally insulted her daughter’s dad and the little girl shouted ‘MY DADDY!’ indignantly#and i was like.. oh god. why did i never think about the fact that of Course she can understand me#and yeah her dad is a waste of space but she does usually see him at least once or twice a week and she adores him#it is not up to any of us to poison her against him. we shouldn’t be doing that. this situation is fraught enough#like it is bad enough that he wants to take my friend to court to get unsupervised visits….. if she cheerfully says ‘auntie ellen said daddy#is a bastard’ anywhere in his vicinity this shit is about to go pearshaped#i just am so tired. i want to abscond. i wish i’d stayed in america#i think next steps are like.. recharge. do some autumn cleaning (sort out clothes & donate old stuff i don’t wear to charity).#apply to retail jobs until i get something that isn’t awful and then just sit in it until i come up with a phd idea and can abscond#but in the meantime if you need me i’ll be watching daytime tv in my blankie#personal

Diet Diaries
Tumblr media
Hi all! Thank you so much for 500 followers! Here's a little style switch up to celebrate, got a lotta refs in this one and I quite leaned into the diary entries so I hope it's not too much! Hope y'all enjoy this stereotype reversal and as always, best! -Occam
Monday March 21st-
Tumblr media
Andy:
I am beyond sick of Steve. Moving in together was a mistake, I don’t care how cheap the rent is, he is a narcissistic slob and I am eager to never see him again. Well no, I shouldn’t get ahead of myself. Our R.A. had this idea to try and walk in each other's shoes, which I don’t know? It might not be the worst thing? My big idea was switching diets actually- honestly I’m just hoping if he ate more like me he’ll stop stinking up the dorm. I can dream at least. Literally though he just can’t go to the gym as often if he eats like me. If I'm lucky at the very least his deodorant will last longer, I cannot take another day of his b.o. seeping through the walls, ugh! Anyway, wish me luck! I’m sure this will be a breeze for me, he usually just eats junk anyway, hope he enjoys my salads~
Tumblr media
Steve:
Andy that little fucker. He was being such a little bitch to James and now I’ve gotta eat his rabbit food for a week or lose this bet or whatever. Steve don’t lose tho. Lil twink’s gotta eat whatever I make him too and you can bet your ass I’m gonna make him match my macros if I’ve gotta starve myself like he wants. Fuck! This shit is going to absolutely tank my routine! I’ve gotta make Andy give up. I’m gonna go so hard on him he’ll have to hit weights if he doesn't want to blow up like a pig. Maybe then he’ll stop bitching any time I don’t fucking shower every time I get back home.
Tuesday March 22nd-
Tumblr media
Andy:
My Lord! He is trying to kill me! I don’t know how anyone could consistently eat as much as he’s telling me to. I’m so bloated from all this food.. He looks so smug every time he tells me to keep eating, I’m sure he doesn’t eat like this. He’s just trying to break me but I’m not going to let him win this easy.
Ugh, I feel so bloated my pants are so tight on my waist. I didn’t think meat sweats were a thing but man I am needing to put on deodorant like twice a day now and I’m not even exercising. I will say that now that I’m eating so much, I don’t hate the idea of going to the gym. It’s been a while since I went but I should probably at least hit up the treadmill lest I get even more of a gut- maybe I’ll see if he wants to go tomorrow. This is all just an exercise to understand each other more after all, no need to make it a stupid competition like he wants eh~
Tumblr media
Steve:
Fuck! I am so tired of Andy’s pussy-ass diet. I had absolutely no energy at the gym today, I told all my bros that I was just gonna take it easy but fuck! I really was working my ass off and I struggled to even meet a PR I set last week. It was supposed to be a push day and I didn’t even get a chest pump! Why the fuck am I still going. I’m abso-fucking-lutely not getting gains on his fuckin’ bitch-ass salads and oats.
Eatin’ like a fucking twink and the fucker has the nerve to ask to go to the gym with me tomorrow. I’ll make sure he regrets that >:) Gonna work him like a horse so he’ll throw in the towel! After feeling how sore actually working on yourself makes ya, he might actually learn something. I’ll turn in early so I can go all out and show him what a real man looks like.
Wednesday March 23rd-
Tumblr media
Andrew:
Man! I totally get why Steven eats so much now~ I am absolutely raring to go and get this; He said I could go to the gym with him today! He even seemed like he wanted me to go with him! I feel like I have more energy than I’ve ever had before, I might even try some weights!! I don’t know but I’m so excited! It’s like I can feel my chest and biceps begging me to go and hit some iron haha! Or whatever those “bros” say~ I hope he’s got something good planned for lunch because I fuck Sorry! I just want to show him that I can do all this dude stuff too! I’m a man right? I guess all this protein is making me feel more like a man than usual idk. Either way though I’m ready to go! Hope we have some fun!
Tumblr media
Steven:
That bitch’s fuckin’ fru fru salads are ruining my PR’s for sure! I bet he knew that when he begged me to take him to the gym today, knew it was the only time he could show off to me was when I’m so out of it. And he didn't! Just to be clear I could still wipe the floor with  him even if I’m not at my A-game. Ugh, I do gotta hand it to the little fucker though. I KNOW he hasn’t even really set foot in a gym before but man. Beginners luck my ass, as soon as I showed him a technique he lifted like he’s been doing it his whole life! It’s like I could see his pecs and tris swelling up with each lift. Not that I was staring at the bitch or anything but he’s just I just need this fuckin’ diet thing to end so I can get back to my grind, I guess I wouldn’t hate taking him to the gym more often, would be hot to make a bitch into a bro Fuck! What am I writing, I just need to lift again.
Thursday March 24th-
Tumblr media
Andrew:
Bro! Weird? Whatever, I am absolutely on fire! Steven’s diet is absolutely killer! I don’t know how it’s working so well but man I couldn’t care less, I felt like a pro in there! My coaches in school would always shit on me for not trying but man! I was barely trying yesterday but I could tell from the look on Steven’s face that I was acing it! I guess I’ll have to admit to him that he is definitely onto something with his macros but man, not until he gives up haha! Man, I need to chill haha, it’s not like I’m any stronger than I was Monday but man, looking at myself in the mirror it just seems like my clothes are just fitting better. Catching on my chest rather than my stomach y’know? I’ve never noticed that there is muscle on my arms before but man the way my sleeves are kinda hugging my biceps mm. I need to chill haha! Can’t use all my energy before hitting the gym again today!
OH! Also totally weird, I’ve had to shave twice this week! Once last night and then again this morning which is so weird! I’m not complaining though, it’s not like I wouldnt look hot with a beard right? Although my face is a little itchy already, my chest too? Whatever though haha! Time to head back to the grind lol!
Tumblr media
Steven:
God!! Andy Andrew is being such an asshole! He’s clogging the sink shaving which I know he would so be on my ass if I had done that. Wait, he did get on my ass for shaving! But it hasn’t been a problem this week, it’s like I’m not even growing stubble for some reason? Probably from not working so hard at the gym, is that how that works? Whatever it’ll be over as soon as this stupid diet thing is. We’re halfway through now. Thank God! Because that fucking twink is starting to stink up the dorm which again!! He was such a little bitch all the time to me about that! It’s like he’s literally stopped using deodorant as soon as he started needing it! He’s never exerted himself in his life and now that his pits are sweating at all he’s suddenly allergic to hygiene, ugh! I saw last night too the fucker fell asleep with his head in his pit too so it’s not like he doesn’t know it.
It was a little surprising actually, cause I would’ve sworn he was hairless like one of those freak cats but man his pit was as thick as my pubes! Thicker maybe, uh? Man I wish I could get that image out of my head, it’s like the tuft was pushing out further each time he inhaled, man that’s kinda hot? Fuck! I swear this twink-ass diet is making me think like him too. I need to sneak to the gym later, without him. I cannot have him getting ahead even while I’m still on his chickenshit diet.
Friday March 25th-
Tumblr media
Steven:
Ah!! That Little bitch! He was already at the gym when I got there! Ugh! It makes me want to punch a wall, or fight him. Or something I dont know! It’s just, he was lifting my body weight on the bench when he saw me, it was so ho ugh! It doesn’t matter what it was, I can’t stop thinking of that smug look on his face- what I would give to wipe it off… That absolute prick knew what he was doing. Ugh, speaking of pricks! He may as well have not been wearing shorts at all by how much his cock was showing through them.
I knew my meal prepping was fucking tight but man, I can’t believe hot its made him. It just really fucking turns me on, or no its such a turn on for chicks. Yeah. Whatever. I need this bet to end already. Clearly he’s totally obsessed with my lifestyle so he should just admit it already! Also, hate to say it, but to Andrew’s credit his diet ain't too bad either. I’d never tell him this, and it is all a little emasculating but my skin has never looked this good. I’m not even doing skincare or anything but it’s like I’ve been on a routine for years, it’s crazy! It’s still ruining my upper gains but man, my ass looks so good it's crazy..
Oh also re: facial hair, I woke up this morning and could’ve sworn I used to have chest hair but now it looks like I’ve got just a little left around my nipples and leading up from my pubes? I might go ahead and shave those too, might as well be totally smooth like a chick right haha, I wonder what Andrew would think? I need to chill haha, maybe I’ll go see if he’s still at the gym~
Tumblr media
Andrew:
Fuuuuck dude lol. I should’ve started hitting up the gym ages ago. Don’t know what I was even wasting time on before I started doing twice-a-days? Studying I guess but I can figure that shit stuff out hm. Fuck it is so much better to be strong than a dweeb. Every set it feels like I’m just busting out new PR’s! Gonna need to buy new clothes though cause I am absolutely tearing up my crop tops, my twinky little wardrobe just isn’t cutting it anymore. Maybe Steven’d be down for a clothes swap, I’ve seen him eying up my fits all week, god knows he’ll fit them better lol. Oh haha, and speaking of him eying things up >:) You should’ve seen his little face blush when he walked into the gym this morning! He looked so pissed at me lol, but I’m not gonna grab him to come along every time I need to get some sets in right? It was pretty embarrassing for him yesterday anyway, the way I showed him up lol. I’m not just gonna sit around and watch him not lift weights when I can figure this shit out myself, thought it was supposed to be his thing though lol.
Mm, saying that though, I def didn’t hate having a little audience from his treadmill. God, his blushing face as he stared directly at my work-out chub. Fuck, it really got me going. It really helped my sets too haha. Maybe I should hit him up lol, I can tell how bad he wants me >:)
Saturday March 26th-
Tumblr media
Stevie:
Ugh! That douche is walking around the dorm completely shirtless! Do you know what it’s like to have an oaf flexing away across the room from you 24/7! He knows what he’s doing, and thank god my dick isn’t showing through my shorts like I thought it usually does because he might literally pounce on me then-
Ugh! I didn’t even mention this morning. I literally woke up to him jacking off his morning wood! Do you know what a bitch-fit he would have thrown if I did that! He would’ve filed a police report, probably the dweeb, or. I guess I could too?? But it was just so fucking hot. I tried to pretend I was asleep, but he totally caught me. He literally smirked and made eye contact as he finished too- thank god he didn’t see my boner as he asked if I wanted to clean up his mess. He’s such an ass!
I still have a boner now actually, it’s his B.O. driving me actually crazy! It’s like I can’t think near him if he’s going to stink this bad god.. Oh, he’s doing pullups on the door frame fuck. He’s supposed to be hairless but I see sweat dripping from his pits god I can't. God with each pull up his chest looks even more powerful. His cock is bobbing up and down in his pants and I can not look away. Fuck it’s getting even bigger. I’m supposed to be the strong one right? It’s not, fuck. This isn’t right. He just so fucking, god that body, I need him-
Tumblr media
And Drew:
Heh. I knew that fucking twink couldn’t resist me. Every little thing I do wraps him even tighter around my finger. Every flex and smirk turns him on even more I bet he can’t even think straight the way his little dick is losing it in his briefs- I took all his jocks since I’m sure he would need them anymore. Bet the little bitch didn’t even remember they were his.
Might as well have been drooling when he saw me jacking my cock this morning lol, surprised he didn’t take me up on the offer to lick up the mess. I know he wanted to lol. He’ll get the chance soon enough though >:) God it’s a two-way street though. That fucking twink is so fuckable now, thank god he doesn’t need to shave anymore, don’t want his peachfuzz scratching my cock cause god that mouth is so fuckable now.. To say nothing of his fucking juicy ass, god! I’ve been working out in the room all morning waiting for him to give in and ask me to fuck him, idk if I can hold it in much longer. I might need to jack it again, my balls are bluer than I ever thought they could be, fuck. It’s like they're sore. Ugh I feel them getting heavier, heh, that little fucker cant resist though. God I feel precum starting to pool in my jock. If I put my pit within a foot of his face I give him five before he can’t help but shove his face in. I need to fuck him, but as if I’m going to let him see how desperate I am. Stevie that little fucker. He’ll be riding my cock any second now.
Sunday March 27th-
Tumblr media
Stevie:
Fuck <3 !! He finally fucked me!! God, it was like nothing I’ve experienced before~ His cock was like a beer can and goddd the scratch of his beard as we were making out.. Hehe if I keep thinking about him I might just cum again right now! He can fully toss my body like a ragdoll and I’d thank him ugh! He’s just so hot, and to think he wants to fuck me!! Ah~ I’ll need to keep myself pretty so he won’t get tired of me hehe! Not that it’ll be a problem, I just need to keep on his diet, God who knew it would be this good! I don’t even remember whatever problems we had before all this and I can’t imagine anything better than getting fucked by him <3 Ah! He he~ He’s staring at my ass right now so I guess it’s time for another round! Can’t thank our R.A. enough for this idea, well he he I’ve got an idea for how to thank him, oh! Drew’s ripped off his jock! Wish me luck he he~
Tumblr media
Drew:
My little bitch is so tight, fuck. I’m surprised he can even take my cock but god can he ride it. Gonna have a hard time taking a break from fucking him to even hit the gym. Need to make sure the twink keeps up the diet tho or we’ll have an issue. Be sure to make him come to the gym whenever I do, if not to tighten up then to watch me heh. Won’t hate fucking him in the locker room too. Mm, God his fucking tiny body makes me feel so powerful. And I fucking am. God my bis are the size of his thick thighs, fuck his ass. My cock is straining my jock just thinking about it. His tiny waist ugh, I need my sweaty body over him now. Not like he’ll mind, the horny fucker. Mmm hope he’s ready to take my cock, bet his mouth is already watering heh. Pop my pecs at him and he’ll struggle not to cum on the spot, he better keep it together until I let him though. Can’t be having my bitch blow his load that fast. Thank fuck he’s chilled out finally, though I guess my cock’ll work wonders on anyone >:) speaking of it’s about that time again. Hope he’s ready for some more action, hate to have to find another hole.

Tumblr media
over the few months you’ve been sakusa’s manager, you’ve ingrained daily video calls into your schedule.
it wasn’t hard to tell that sakusa thought calls were inconvenient, to say the very least. the slight tick of his eye and the clench of his jaw were difficult to miss, even if he bit his tongue in the name of professionalism. you understood, really. no one would want to be disrupted early in the morning, especially when they’re someone who has a carefully crafted routine like sakusa — which is why you insisted on aligning these calls with his schedule, instead of deciding for him. it seemed to satisfy the spiker enough, seeing that he appeared much less tense almost immediately after.
however, you’re starting to regret not bringing it upon yourself to dictate a time — especially when the back of your eyes are burning and it’s hard to breathe because it’s six in the morning and you’re sick.
“good morning, sakusa,” you groggily greet. you internally cringe at your voice, scratchy and making your throat hurt. you’ve opted to have your camera off just this once — you prefer to keep it on, as it makes these exchanges a little more humane, but you think your appearance is far too unfortunate for someone else to see right now. your hand runs through your hair, and you wince when your fingers get caught in a knot.
sakusa’s camera is on, however, and the sound of pots clinking against one another fills the air around you. when he re-enters the frame, he’s focused on the meal he’s making, only mumbling a short greeting back.
you take a swig of water and clear your throat, hoping that it helps with the ache, before beginning with sakusa’s schedule for today.
“let’s begin,” you start, “you’re free until 1 this afternoon, where you have a promotional shoot with hinata, bokuto, and miya. it should last until 3 or 4, depending on how long they take to prepare the four of you.” your words are curt and straightforward, and you hope that sakusa doesn’t notice. typically, you’d attempt small talk with him, but you’re currently trying to savor the last of your voice.
“knowing miya, he’ll probably manage to drag it until 6 in the evening,” the spiker grumbles, and you can’t help the raspy (and tired) laugh that leaves you. a cough follows soon after, and if sakusa wasn’t able to tell that you were sick before, he definitely can now.
you watch as his eyes flit to his phone, a questioning look on his face. they roam around the screen for a moment, and you nervously wait for his reaction.
“are you sick?” sakusa bluntly asks. his eyebrows are furrowed, and he’s stopped stirring whatever he’s preparing on the stove. despite the fact he can’t even see you, you abashedly look away from your screen.
you’re tempted to deny it, but you know it’d be a futile attempt anyway. so, you relent, sighing out an affirmation. “yes, i am. i won’t be present at the shoot today, but you can expect the other three managers to be there. if you need anything, you can call me.”
“no, i’ll be fine, but you shouldn’t be doing anything if you’re sick.” sakusa replies, turning away from his phone to move his food onto a plate. selfishly, you allow your eyes to rack down the wide expanse of his back, appreciating the way his compression shirt hugs his figure. it becomes clear that you were staring for too long, though, when sakusa turns back around, plate in hand and waiting for your response.
you have it in you to feel the slightest bit embarrassed, even if he can’t see you.
“sorry,” you sheepishly murmur, “i can assure you that i’ll be okay, sakusa. i’ll be working from home today.”
“again,” he says, voice a tad harder than it was before, “you shouldn’t be doing anything if you’re sick. even if you’re working from home. is that everything i have on my schedule for today?”
you’re not sure if sakusa’s being so insistent out of genuine worry for your health, or if he’s concerned that you’ll get him sick if you come to work in your state. “sakusa, i promise you that i’ll be okay in a day or two. and even then, i’ll make sure to wear a mask,” you say, assuming sakusa’s worried for his health. “moving on, though, i believe that’s all on your schedule for today. tomorrow you have your shoot with calvin klein, but i’ll remind you tomorrow morning. you have some pr, too. i believe a brand sent you pickled plums, which are your favorite, if i remember correctly?”
you watch as sakusa shakes his head, sighing through his nose. “i’m not worried about me. i know that you wouldn’t get me sick. but if you keep on working instead of resting, you’re going to get worse, and you’ll be out for longer.”
you’re beginning to become slightly irritated — a mix of tiredness, sickness, and sakusa’s nagging (even if it comes from a good place) beginning to annoy you. regardless, you try to pay no attention to it. once you’re done with this phone call, you’ll rest for another hour or two before doing whatever work you can from home.
“i’m glad that you’re not worried about yourself, but as i said earlier, i’m sure i’ll be fine. i can take care of myself, sakusa,” you curtly reply, hoping that the spiker leaves the topic alone.
thankfully, it seems like he does, because he relents and asks you to give him the pickled plums later on in the week. a few minutes later you’re greeting sakusa goodbye and hanging up, slouching into your mattress and performing a futile attempt at staving off the ache in your temples.
you wake once again hours later to the incessant sound of your doorbell ringing. it’s certainly at least mid-morning, considering the way sunlight is filtering into your room, making your eyes ache.
you stumble over to the door, paying no mind to your appearance and throwing the door open. to your surprise, sakusa is standing in your doorway, impatiently waiting for you to let him in, a plastic bag in hand.
“sakusa?” you gape. if you were being completely honest, he was the person you were least expecting to see right now — especially because you’re sick. he’s staring at you incredulously, like it’s not insane for him, out of all people, to willingly be around someone else while they’re ill.
“you’re sick, right? i have soup and medicine,” he grumbles, “are you going to let me in or not?”
you blink, before barely coming to your senses enough to open the door for him to step through. he does so immediately, taking long strides towards your dinner table to set the food down. then, he turns to you, and you have to resist the urge to curl into yourself. your head is pounding, you can hardly breathe through your nose, and you’re sure you look absolutely terrible right now. fuck professionalism, i guess, you sarcastically think. you’re not sure if you’ll ever allow yourself to live this moment down, even if you spend hours trying to forget about it.
“you didn’t…have to do this, sakusa,” you murmur, still somewhat in shock. and it seems that he’s just full of surprises today, because sakusa laughs, and you’re as surprised as you are annoyed because he’s laughing at you.
“you’re my manager, i can’t have you dying on me,” he nonchalantly replies, as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world. “now get back to bed. i’ll prepare the soup for you and get you some medicine.”
you’re tempted to cuss at him, but decide that your entire body is far too weak to stay standing anymore, so you listen and make your way towards your room. sakusa doesn’t take very long, coming back with the items he promised and a damp towel — where’d he even find that?
and you think you’ve never seen sakusa so gentle before, placing the towel onto your forehead and handing you the warm soup. you eat it all in one go, not having realized how hungry you truly are, and graciously take the medicine sakusa offers you once you’re done.
“...thank you, sakusa, you didn’t have to do this,” you say, feeling rather guilty that he took it upon himself to take care of you.
sakusa only scoffs in reply. “you basically decide my entire life. everything would be thrown off-course if you weren’t able to work for even a week.”
his response makes you laugh weakly, and you promise him that you’ll be back and better soon.
“i have to go now,” sakusa says, glancing at his phone. you nod, remembering about the photoshoot you reminded him of earlier.
he awkwardly stands still, before his hand comes to rest on top of your head in a strange head-pat. sakusa’s face is slightly flushed pink, an obvious show that he’s flustered.
“feel better soon,” he mumbles, and you thank him with a smile.
(sakusa was ten minutes late to his photoshoot. when asked why by his teammates, they gave him teasing looks when he said he dropped a few items off by his sick manager’s house.)
(he thinks he may hate his team.)

hiii luv ur writing^^!!
i was wondering if you could write some wriothesley x chubby reader... insisting she's too heavy to sit on his face despite him urging her to do it and that it'll be fine,, eventually getting tired of her excuses and grabbing her thighs to pull her down onto his face
thanks for asking and tysm! wriothesley would def do that and he would beg you to sit on his face. also, honestly i think wriothesley is the type to prefer chubby and/or muscular bodies, he just views it as more meat for him to bite. he has a large body as well, so yeah.
Tumblr media
pairing : wriothesley x chubby!reader
rating : explicit
wc : 850
warnings : reader is afab but no pronouns used, wriothesley calls reader "angel" and "doll", wriothesley is desperate, reader is a bit insecure about their weight, face sitting, oral (f receiving), wriothesley eats pussy like no other, slight dirty talk, i mean how can he talk much when his face is stuffed with pussy
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
wriothesley who wants you to sit on his face, you who thinks you're too heavy for that. he begs to differ.
Tumblr media
wriothesley who tells you that he wants you to sit on his face.
wriothesley who pouts for a moment when you tell him no. it's okay, really, he would never force you to do something you don't want to. he just doesn't understand what exactly makes you uncomfortable with the idea, and wriothesley is a curious man when it comes to you.
but come on, how could he know that you thought you'd be too heavy for him? for him, for wriothesley who could throw weights twice as heavy as you around with ease? and wasn't your thighs crushing his face and your pussy suffocating him the entire point?
wriothesley who mentions the idea again later on, and this time, you agree to do it. it'll be fine, you think, you'll just rest your weight on your legs and he will also get to have what he wants. if he had a tail, you know it'd be wagging behind his back by the way his smile widens.
wriothesley who's just thrilled to finally have you on top of him, your wet heat hovering above his face. his dick is aching in his pants, purposefully left clothed so he can feel how much it wants you.
wriothesley who looks up at you weirdly after a few seconds, and you think that's it. he regrets it all.
"you want me to starve here? come on, doll, sit, no backing down now." he grins, his breath hitting you from how close his face was to your cunt. his rough hands caress your plush thighs as he playfully bites the inside of your thighs, pressing a kiss right after, waiting for you to properly sit.
you gulp. "i am sitting though..?" you lower yourself a bit more, pretending like you're placing your entire weight on him. "is this better?"
"nah, not really, but..." his eyes now stare into yours in a more serious manner. were you uncomfortable with him? you seemed like you were in doubt. "love, if you don't want to, you don't have to, i'm not-"
"i-i want to, but..." he pauses for a moment as you part your lips, listening to what you have to say. "i can't just sit on you! i would...crush your face, probably."
wriothesley who raises his eyebrows at your words. "yeah?"
you want to escape his gaze yet his eyes hold you in like a prisoner.
wriothesley who listens to you babble about some nonsense. i'm too heavy, it'd be a turn off for you, it's embarrassing, blah, blah, blah.
wriothesley who takes it as a challenge and simply grabs your legs and pulls you onto his face with a shriek, your entire weight pressing down on him. your pussy is met with his eager mouth and your clit presses against the tip of his nose, making your legs go numb for a few moments. "w-wrio, you!" you call out, shy as his tongue delves between your folds to lap up your slick like it's the last thing he ever wants to taste. he groans against your cunt at your taste, the vibrations making you grab his hair and press yourself harder on his face.
he grins in response, your skin feeling every movement of his. he moans into your pussy when you tug on his hair, all your thoughts about insecurities thrown out the window with the way you push yourself down on him. his hands grab your thighs firmly, wrapping them around his head as he kept pressing you down on him. his tongue pushes in at your hole after sucking in your clit harshly, "mmh, so-" he mumbles, and you swear you see stars by the way the sound vibrates through your body, "so wet for me, doll-"
wriothesley whose dick throbs, stretching against the tight fabric of his undergarments, begging to fill you to the brim. his hips thrust into the air in want, in need, desperate for some friction as he feasted on you. he knows you're close as you start grinding against his mouth, his tongue thrusting in and out and licking your folds as his nose presses against your clit. his hold on your body was still firm as ever, only tightening as he gets more into it. he sucks in your clit as the waves of pleasure wash over your body and you cum on his face, his greedy mouth licking up everything he can.
he lifts his hands and you back up, checking to see if he was okay.
wriothesley who fucking smirks at you from below, breathless and half of his face drenched and glistening with your juices. "how unfortunate," he says as he pulls you down once again, "make sure to break my neck this time."

🍭"Please, please, please, Coco!" You’ve barely woken up from an afternoon nap as you felt a weight on top of you, and he's at it again.
Yawning, you reach for your phone to check the time. "Go make some tea/coffee first, for God's sake." This boy can be relentless. You patted his hips from the side which he swatted.
"No! First, you went to work, then you didn’t listen to me at lunch because you were too tired to talk about it, and now you're tired again!"
"Do you even realize how hard I work--- for you?! A more understanding spouse would be caring, but no! You always have something to nag about whenever I get home!" Your words hit him like a brick, and his lips quivered, making you instantly regret your harsh tone.
You reached out to grab his hand, but he started to walk away. "Hey," you quickly got up and gently pulled him back to sit on the bed. "I--I apologize, okay? I just woke up. I’m a bit cranky. Don’t cry."
You wiped his tears, cupping his soft face. Damn, he's so delicate. Like a fragile doll. Those expensive appointments and the skincare stuff he orders really pay off, even if your bank account is bleeding because of it.
"Okay, so. I have told you this before Narin baby-"
"I want, no, need that popcorn machine! It's so cute! And perfect for our movie night! I need it, I NEED IT FOR US!"
"Fine! Fine, fuck, you can buy it--" He didn't even wait for you to finish before dashing out of the room, probably already placing the order. Another one of his wishes granted.
You closed your eyes and leaned back against the headboard, mentally tallying the things he'd cried over this month alone. Let’s see...
Matching colored outfits.
A road trip you took him on the weekend because one of your cousins had ruined his mood, leading to another silent tantrum.
A (cat/dog) he wanted, which he named Prince. They’re cute, so you didn’t mind. You’d always kind of wanted a pet yourself.
A full-length mirror because apparently, "Cocooooo, we need a bigger mirror in the bedroom! How am I supposed to see my whole outfit if it’s only half my size? Pretty pleeease? It’ll make the room look bigger, too!"
So, yeah, you’re broke now.
Sigh.
"Narin? My tea/coffee?!"
"Coming right up my Coco!" came the response. Right, he’s back to his usual self. Good for him....and you, the thought made you chuckle softly. Wait..does this make you a simp?
"....."
Shopping with him is both delightful and a bit chaotic. He’s a joy to watch as he tries on those adorable outfits for you, but the process can test your patience. He lingers in the cosmetics shop, lost in the thrill of finding the perfect product, while you pass the time reading ingredient lists to ensure he’s not using something toxic. Every time you take the products from his hands with that focused, caring expression, his heart skips a beat. It’s become such a sweet routine that now he instinctively hands you the items before placing them in the basket, a little smirk playing on his lips.
🍭 "No, Narin. You can’t have more of these. And don’t you throw a tantrum here." You abruptly stopped the cart.
"But it’s so cosy! And adorable!" He jumped like a little kid clinging to your arm.
"You have so many plushies already. No more." Your tone was firm and unyielding this time, and he knew well that he had been a handful over the past few days. 'Aww, my poor wifey. Let’s give her a break.' Besides, he knew better than to argue when you used that tone. It was both intense and irresistible, making him want to both be under you and hide under a blanket at the same time.
"Okay, Coco~." He gently took your arm and leaned his head on your shoulder. "I’m sorry." He hoped his infamous pout would work--after all, it always did.
"Good boy." For the rest of the grocery shopping, he remained in a daze, almost as if he were floating in a trance. If he were a fairy, he’d be dazzling with disco lights and fluttering about in a frenzy. He's definitely going to wear that new silk night-robe tonight.
It was another weekend dinner with your family, and he always hated when you brought him here. He’d much rather be at home with you, enjoying some quality alone time—A-L-O-N-E. He only came for your sake. He just couldn’t let you come alone, who knew what nonsense they might spout about him? Absolutely no chance he was going to let that happen. He’s Narin for a reason. Your Narin. The hell he is giving them a chance to destroy his perfect life. To let anyone steal you away from him. That's why he even put a tracker on your phone.
🍭"(Y/N), I asked your father to bring these chicken rolls from that bakery you love," your mother said, breaking the silence.
"Mhm, they taste different." You took a bite to confirm your suspicions. "Maybe it’s because I’ve gotten used to homemade ones now, these taste a bit foreign to me, haha! Narin makes them really well."
It must be the answer to his prayers--or the result of his good deeds--that his wife is now praising him in front of her family. Just look at their faces! Hahaha! Take that. He smiled smugly as he now enjoyed the dinner to the fullest.
But you see, Narin isn’t always kind with food, he uses it as a weapon against you--sometimes offense, sometimes defense. Well, mostly offense.
🍭Your whole life feels like it's flashing before your eyes. 'Just get through this, (Y/N). You’ve survived worse. Just one more bite.'
"Um, cough don't you th--cough think it’s a bit too spi--cough icy, baby?"
Narin merely shrugged nonchalantly and slurped his slush. Oh, he definitely knows.
"No, I added them precisely,"
You wiped your eyes. Right. Precisely my ass, you little brat.
Just because you talked on the phone with a colleague for too long the night before, discussing work, you’re now stuck with this dinner. How is that even your fault? Before you could take another sip of water, Narin plopped down on your lap with a pouty expression.
"Do you not love me anymore?"
"....", you are literally dying here and this is what this boy's asking?
He shook you by your collar, now crying. "TELL ME! WHO IS TAKING YOUR ATTENTION THESE DAYS!?"
"I DO! I LOVE-" You grabbed the glass from behind him and downed it in one swift motion. God, you can breathe now. "I...only love you, baby.."
His giggles filled the room, making Prince wag it's tail too. "I love you too! So don't ever forget it, professor. Now, let's order something!"
The audacity.
Sigh. #youdon'tevenfuckingknowatthispoint
Narin LOATHES, when you grade papers into the middle of the night while he’s left alone in the cold bed. Eventually, he can’t take it anymore and ends up sleeping on your lap, both of you dozing off together on the living room lounge. And let’s not forget the trips you sometimes have to make for educational conferences. He stays at his parents' place with Prince while you’re out working--and maybe… maybe having an AFFAIR?! No, no, no, not on his watch! You are getting blocked and he's not coming back home if you don't answer or call him daily. At breakfast , lunch and dinner or he's going to raise an havoc.
🍭"Coco, show me your room," he said softly, snuggled into your pillow he brought from home, as you were about to doze off during the call. He was also wearing your hoodie, trying to envelop himself in its warmth, feeling close to you even from afar.
"Um, why?"
"You know whyyyy. You know it very well." He blinked innocently however his tone that of a little vexed feline. You understood his underlying concern and resisted the urge to sigh at his whining as you showed him the room. "There, no one here. No one here who you’d describe as more beautiful than you or some student."
"But you missed the bathroom! And under the bed, and also the closet! AND THE BALCONY! DO NOT THINK I AM DUMB!" It’s going to be a long night, and at this point, you’re wishing you could jump off the hotel balcony.

Hii! How are you? I hope you're well!
I have a request,,, Roommate with Aventurine collage au if possible? Reader recently just bought a house but can't really support themselves so they ask one of their friends if they want to move in with them with a few agreements, none of them want to since they already have a place to stay not until Aventurine comes by.. Reader close friends? Are they even friends? Wait of course they are. Aventurine tell reader he wants to move in with them. What? Well I guess there's no other opinion since reader money is tight.
Atlas Aventurine finally moved in with them, it's a bit surprising considering that he's rich.. why would he want to move in with reader anyway? Ahem thing has been great.. a little to great reader was wondering why they never received any electricity bill that they need to pay along said with water bill.. it turns out Aventurine already paid both of it without reader knowledge since he will definitely get scolded... But what is this? Aventurine? Holding them close.. huh? Confusion came to reader. Aventurine never been this so love affection, unless.. no way right?.. they never thought they might end up falling in love with Aventurine. They're just friends.. now way this can happen. Oh well.. maybe begin in relationship with Aventurine isn't bad after all.. right?
This ended up longer than I expected HELP 😭 I'm craving for angst.. but probably need to stop before I start digging my own grave 🚶 I am not ok 😇 it can be fluff, angst comfort.. or just some wholesome love story.. reader is gender natural 🫂

college seemed great. you had been accepted into your ideal collage and had made some great, hopefully lifelong, friends. however, the only issue was that you needed to look for a place to stay for the rest of your course. getting to and from college was becoming more hassle than what it was worth as you didn't take up the initial offer of dorms, but now you were deeply regretting that decision. you had spent hours scrolling on the college's website looking at the dorms in hopes of someone putting out a request for a roomate but nothing ever seemed to come about.
in honesty, you were getting tired of constantly looking for places to stay that reduced the amount you needed to travel - you cursed yourself for not taking up the dorm offer when you first got accepted. a sigh escaped you as you were getting bored of searching and decided that it might be better to turn in for the the night but one listing caught you're eye. it was a decently sized house, designed for student stay as the college would sponsor some similar places, that was within a walkable range of your college, it seemed almost perfect if the pricing wasn't so steep but you were desperate at this point so you contacted the lister and showed your interest just in case someone decided to take it before you could - maybe tomorrow you could ask a friend to go halves?
---✩
even as you walked toward your first class of the day, all you could think about was who might be willing to go halves with you on the place. hopes weren't exactly high as it was quite pricey on it's own but in contrast to some of the dormitories it wasn't that bad! your brain was practically on autopilot as you walked into your class and sat down at your designated seat.
maybe if one person wouldn't be willing to go halves, you could ask two friends? however, the more reasonable part of yourself knew that most people either had dorms or were fine with how they got to college daily. you were so engrossed with thinking of a solution that it barely registered that topaz, and numby, had sat beside you.
numby caught your attention first as topaz used that opportunity to pose the question 'everything alright over there? you seemed pretty lost in thought'
to be honest, nobody knew how topaz managed to have numby by her side at all times on campus, some rumours were that she simply paid the headmaster. it was to be expected that not many people wanted to be sat next to the whitette in class with numby always being there, fortunately you weren't all that fussed with the critter - it became rather adorable after a while. so sitting next to topaz had let you become extremely close with her and eventually friends.
'well it could be better' you eventually responded 'i finally found a place near enough to the college but it's rather expensive, kind of need someone to room with'
numby perked it's head and topaz hummed in acknowledgement before adding 'i'm sure you can find someone, ask around a bit and see'
'i only found it last night so i haven't had the chance to ask yet, but i will' you paused before realising 'would you room with me?'
'as much as i would love to, i've got my own dorm here but you shouldn't have a problem finding someone else' she plastered an almost guilty smile on her face 'sorry though'
a small sigh escaped you 'no it's fine, im more at fault for not taking up a dorm originally'
the door to the class opened and you both watched as the professor walked in, topaz leaned over and whispered 'i'll come find you at lunch and we can talk about this later', you nodded and she nodded back.
---✩
your class finished slightly earlier than normal and so you decided to wait outside of topaz's class for the last couple of minutes. while you waited you decided that it might be a good idea to have another look to see what else might've been listed and double check that the lister was still holding the accomodation for you - they had been very generous so far and you didn't want to test their patience and make them wait too long for a final answer, mainly because they're probably was a handful of students also eyeing up the place.
luckily topaz hadn't made you wait too long and you three walked to the normal spot that you'd hang out at. topaz sat opposite you and immediately she demanded to see the place you were looking at.
'defiantly worth finding a roomate for this place, it looks pretty decent for it's price, as steep as it may be' she scrolled through the details to confirm and take a final look at the images, even numby was looking over her shoulder doing small jumps in agreement.
you huffed slightly 'but who would be a decent roommate? it's not like im asking for a lot but im going have to see them everyday and every night until i graduate' you wish that your situation was a bit more fortunate, that way you wouldn't have to find a roommate and just rent the property for yourself.
topaz smiled 'yeah some roommates aren't the best but again, im sure you could ask another friend who doesn't have anywhere?' she watched as your expression made you seem extremely fed up and she only laughed 'i know i know, it's not that simple'
she handed your phone back and paused before adding 'i could always put some words out in your favour, some people i know haven't got anywhere'
'like me?' both you and topaz turned your heads to the approaching blondette.
'i wouldn't wish that fate on anyone' topaz sneered at him
he feined a small laugh 'you're words hurt me but surely im not that bad?' he turned to you and smiled 'so what about it?'
you were shocked at his straight forwardness, he hadn't even seen the property yet, and how did he even know you were looking for a roommate specifically? you weren't exactly jumping at the idea to room with someone who was practically a stranger to you either.
'not to be rude, but rooming with someone i barely know is quite bold, surely you must understand that' you glanced quickly over to topaz who was practically glaring daggers at him.
'i do understand that but any friend of topaz is a friend of mine, if she can get one thing right it's a decent taste in friends' he smiled at topaz and she looked ready to punch him.
you did know that aventurine was an accomplice of topaz, you weren't to sure if they were friends or not though. in honesty, he was a safe bet for a roommate. like topaz, you knew he was quite wealthy and so he could always pay his half of the rent and on time which would be ideal but again, you barely knew him and surely he could afford his own accomodation by himself?
'look, i can see your hesitation but i promise that i'd be an ideal roomate and i could even pay more than my intended dues if you wish?' aventurine looked all too happy for you're liking but really what other choice would you have, you doubted that you could find another roomate anytime soon, it was a gamble but maybe it'd pay off?
'alright fine but surely you'd like to see the property first?' you posed and he shook his head
'im sure that you chose a great place, just send me the details later and when you plan on moving in, tomorrow's more ideal yes?' he paused and then added 'topaz can give you my number' then he simply walked away with a wave goodbye.
---✩
true to his word, you sent him the details later that night and before you knew it, you were stood outside your new accommodation the very next morning. it felt a bit like a fever dream honestly, the accommodation that seemed idyllic was now where you'd stay until graduation but at the cost of rooming with someone who you barely knew - topaz didn't exactly help with her telling you that she wouldn't room with him for all the money in the world.
aventurine arrived shortly after you did, in a car that clearly had a personal driver, he greeted you with a smile and when ypu asked him where his stuff was he assured you it was arriving later and he wanted you to have first pick on your room. it still felt rather surreal to you but you tried pushing those thoughts behind and tried to be more grateful about finally having accommodation more convenient to the college.
and even a week later he was true to his word, aventurine was an ideal roomate. almost too ideal. you were yet again hanging with topaz and numby at lunch and she was very curious as to how much longer you could fair with him as a roomate but to her surprise you could only give positives.
he was always very considerate of your space and anything you owned, he would make for surprisingly good company and was just overall, extremely easy to live beside. the only downside you could think of was that it could still be a bit awkward between you two when talking but considering that you two were practically living together, it was expected to become easier as even after a week it felt much better than before.
although, recently a concern has a risen that you may be behind on your rent and bills. nothing had arrived in the mail and it was worrying because you didn't want to be kicked out, so you reached out and asked just to be told that they'd all been paid. a split second of confusion overcame you but it quickly dissolved when you realised exactly who was paying your side of the rent and bill. it may not seem that bad but in the agreement it was made extremely clear that both parties would pay half of the overall total, no debate. you needed to talk to him about this.
'has something happened?' aventurine asked looking extremely confused, he'd barely stepped foot in the accommodation before he noticed you waiting for him with your arms crossed.
'yes, without me knowing, you answered before continuing 'i realised that i haven't received the rent and bills in a while, so i asked'-
'i know, i should've told you but surely it's not that big of a deal?' he cut you off, 'i already told you before that i wouldn't mind paying more than i needed to'
'yes but that's beside the point, i just wish that you would've asked me or told me even' it was true that it wasn't a big deal but you felt bad that he was paying more than agreed
'that's understandable, but i take it that you won't make me stop paying for them?' a smirk crawled it's way onto his face and he watched you mutter out a 'whatever' before walking toward you.
'will this suffice for an apology' he said before giving you a hug. he pulled away fairly quickly to see your shocked face and proceeded to walk past you and ruffle your hair, to which you quickly snapped around and yelled at him and he only laughed.
---✩
it had now been quite the while since you started rooming with aventurine. naturally, you two had become much more well acquainted to the point that you call him a friend. even after all this time, he still held up being an ideal roommate and this convinced you even more that this was a fever dream. it baffled you that you now sometimes hung out with him at college aswell.
he had informed you earlier today that he would be back a bit later than usual as he was joining a couple of people to an event, formal or not you didn't quite know. aventurine promised that he would try and not be a disturbance on returning but at this point you wouldn't mind if he was. but you settled to just tell him to have fun and that you don't mind when he comes back, he didn't really have to tell you either but the thought was sweet.
however you didn't expect to be woken up by the doorbell at who knows what time in the morning. you sleepily managed to get to the door and unlock it only to be greeted with two figures - one a very clearly tipsy aventurine and the other being the top student at the college, veritas ratio.
'apologies for the inconvenience but i tried warning the gambler to watch his intake, however he clearly didn't listen to me' ratio started 'again apologies but you're going have to take him now, you are his roommate afterall'
'it's fine really, i don't mind that much' you answered, brain still half clouded with a sleepy fog. ratio nodded and helped you steady aventurine against you with his arm around your shoulder before wishing you luck and leaving. you quickly tried to lock the door again so you could escort aventurine into his room.
with some difficulty, you finally managed to get him into his room. admittedly you'd never been in it before and you felt a little bad about entering but you couldn't just lay him down on the ground outside his door, well you could but that would be unfair. he'd have to deal with the fact that he was going to sleep in his current attire but you doubted that be the top of his concerns in the morning.
however you didn't anticipate aventurine to grab onto you as you tried your best to leave quietly. as you were attempting to pry yourself away you heard him mumble a simple request 'just stay a little while'
you sighed and for some reason you decided to comply, you told yourself that you would stay until he fell asleep then you'd leave and go back to your room. or atleast that was the plan before aventurine took your compliance and wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into a hug - that's fine, it just made it harder to leave but you could manage, is what you told yourself.
unfortunately, you never managed to pry yourself from aventurine and you're sleepy state made it easier to fall asleep then and there. however, you woke up before aventurine and managed to scramble before he woke up, although he woke up not too long after and met you, rather guilty, in the kitchen.
he seemed to remember last night as he started with 'i apologise for my behaviour last night, i wasn't quite in control of myself' he barely could meet your eyes shich was very uncharacteristic for the outgoing blonde and you knew that he probably never wanted to bring this up again.
'it's fine, you were slightly tipsy and it's understandable, barely anything happened either so it's completely fine' you noticed that he still looked rather sad
'thank you' he replied for going back upstairs.
it couldn't be ignored, the somber tone that filled the house felt almost suffocating. in honesty, you found it sweet that he trusted you enough to ask you to stay with him but he was drunk, you knew aventurine wasn't that affectionate but he still seemed to hold a sense of consciousness... no, you were overthinking. you two were friends, that's it. so maybe it was bad you both wished for something more than friends...

now playing: i dont like who i was then - the wonder years 🎶
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The uproar of cheering and applause thumped in your head. Your forehead was slick with sweat, and you were still catching your breath as you ran backstage. Your back pressed firmly against the wall, heart beating so loudly you could hear it; adrenaline coursed through your veins. You watched as the rest of the band flooded into the room, smiles spread widely on each of their faces - even tsukishima’s. Nishinoya was jumping so much so you worried he would take flight. Excitement surged through the room, it was moments like these in which you found yourself appreciating all of the effort you put in to reach this point. All of the shows that went wrong: when you got booed, when you got into fights, when there were tech problems that ultimately ruined the entire show, when your nervousness found a home inside of you, feeding off of your doubts; shaking your hands, and trembling your voice. All of those humiliating, daunting moments you faced together. Everything had to go wrong for the present to feel so right. You were exactly where you belonged.
“Oh my god did you see the crowd? They went fucking insane!” Nishinoya practically yelled, arms flailing around as if they were fueled by raw excitement. Everyone nodded their heads exhilaratingly. “Holy fuck guys, we killed it!” you ran your fingers through your hair, wiping the sweat off of your forehead. All eyes turned to you as everyone smiled. With a shout of your name, your friends began to drown each other with their praise. Kiyoko’s voice boomed through your ears, “Yn, your stage presence is absolutely captivating - We’re so lucky to have you in the band! Without you the crowd would probably be asleep!” placing her bass safely against the wall, she walked up towards you and pulled you into her arms. You smiled so hard your cheeks began to ache, leaning into her warm touch. “Don’t say stuff like that. You’re gonna make me cry, Shimizu. Oh my god I love you so much. You're the best damn bass player I've ever seen.” you laughed, squeezing her tightly one last time before pulling away. She simply kept smiling, before turning back to the other members, and continuing her words of admiration towards them. You stayed with the others for a good while, spewing your affection to them insistently, before taking a deep breath in.
“Guys. I think I'm gonna go find Sakusa.”
Tumblr media
Despite being 6-foot-something and undeniably the sexiest man in the bar, finding him proved to be impossible. Your eyes searched the whole building. Every time you thought you were getting close, all you were met with were traces of him: a white surgical mask stuck to the sticky floor, a half empty bottle of hand sanitiser abandoned on a somehow even stickier table. All you could find was proof of your clean freak ex-best friend’s presence, but not the actual man himself. Frustrated, and growing tired, you got yourself a vodka cranberry and stood awkwardly in the corner of the room. Maybe he’d find you instead?
After a few minutes of wallowing in regret and reminiscence of your memories, your hopes of seeing him again were quickly discarded as a group of people approached you. They looked at you with metaphorical fangs bared, and eyes filled with envy. Oh fuck.
“Hey, ‘yer the girl that was singing on that stage, right?” one of them called out. He was tall and lanky, with messy hair and a drunken slur in his voice. the rest of them snickered from behind him. He must’ve been the ‘leader’ of the group. You straightened your back defensively, trying to seem taller; more intimidating. “And what if I am?” your eyes flicked to the people behind him, who laughed.
“It’d be a shame. Yer way too pretty to be singing stuff like that. Enough of that emo bullshit.” you scowled, rolling your eyes. Was this guy serious? “I’ll sing whatever the fuck I want, asshole.” your lips curved downwards, trembling slightly with brewing anger. He smiled at you sinisterly.
“You’ll never get a husband with that attitude, doll. Men aren’t into that edgy style ya know?” he spoke in a patronising tone that you couldn’t bear.
“Am I supposed to care what dickless men like you think of me?” you knew you shouldn’t be speaking to him like this, you knew that it would only make the situation worse. but, you were way too stressed out to deal with this maturely. If he wanted to start a fight, then you’d finish it.
“You should - Just look at you! You’d be so much prettier without that black shit all over yer face. And the screamo music? Are ya tryin’ to look like a weirdo?” Did he seriously come up to you just to say pointless bullshit like this? Your fists clenched with anger, jaw clenched as you looked at the group of men with all the hatred you could muster up. “Suck my dick.” you spoke through gritted teeth. His eyes widened with shock, surprise quickly being replaced by offence. “‘Scuse me?” he asked, but you both knew he heard you well. The rest of his group looked at each other with a sinister expression, as if they knew what would happen next. You took a step forward, not caring if your boot stomped on his foot in the process. “I said,” you poked a finger at his chest hardly, enunciating each word with a rough poke. “Suck. my. Dick.” you spat at him. Muttering a low ‘you bitch’, he grabbed your hand and squeezed it tightly, almost in an attempt to break the bone. “Yer gonna fuckin’ regret that - you bitch. I’m gonna fuckin ki-” His words were quickly cut off as he was pulled backwards by the back of his shirt. He turned around, eyes widening in fear as he stared at the man now in front of him.
Staring at this man with pure disdain was none other than Sakusa motherfucking Kiyoomi. And he was pissed.
“Leave her the fuck alone.” he pulled him back harsher, causing him to stumble over, nearly falling. His words shot out like bullets, laced with venom that tasted like pure hatred. The man quickly stuttered out his apologies, aware of how much weaker he was in comparison to him. “Hey man- it was just a joke! We were just playin’ around!” you almost wanted to laugh at how pathetic the man looked now, if not for being frozen in complete shock. “Yeah? Well it’s my turn to play around then.” he spoke with the ghost of a smirk on his face. You could see the way his fist was clenched, his knuckles were white as he held onto the fabric of his shirt. Without warning, he raised his hand, and punched him in the gut. As he leaned over in pain, grunting dramatically, Sakusa took this as the perfect opportunity to push him, slamming the man down to the ground. The people around you quickly processed what was happening, and tried to avenge their fallen friend. They circled you and Sakusa with the look of pure evil displaying on their features. Before they could get their hands on him, Sakusa grabbed you by the arm, and dragged you to the back of the bar, leading you outside.
The cold night air pricked at your shoulders, as you stared at the man in front of you. “Holy shit, Sakusa..” you muttered, still in disbelief from what just unfolded in front of you. He took a step towards you, and with a fast beating heart, you took a step back. Your back pressed against the wall as you stared up at him. He scanned your face for any sign of injury, before whispering, “Are you okay?” In stark contrast to a few minutes ago, his voice was much softer now - much like his gaze. You nodded your head shyly, scared that if you spoke up now, you’d accidentally let out all of your emotions. You’d be damned if you didn’t think he was hot as fuck back then. You’d never forgive yourself if you accidentally told him that. He hummed at your response, eyes flicking to the door to make sure you were alone.
“Are you ready to listen to me now?” he asked, trying to sound calm, but there was no denying the desperation in his voice. You struggled to suppress the smile that crept onto your face. “What if I say no?” he leaned in closer to you, almost enough to feel your breath on his face.
“Then i'll keep waiting”
You smiled at him. You smiled at him for the first time in forever. He treasured the sight with every ounce of his being. You were just as beautiful as you were the day you left him. He couldn’t help but smile back, albeit significantly smaller. “Will you keep annoying me about this?” you asked, crossing your arms, your smile shifting into a playful smirk. “Of course I will.” he said, blunt as ever. You chuckled. “Then fine. Talk to me.”
He took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment before he began speaking. “Look. About… then - I…” he paused for a moment, searching for the right words to say. “I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry for the things I said to you - For what I did to you. I know that saying sorry isn’t enough to repair the pain I put you through but I swear I’ll do anything to make it up to you. And I know i sound fucking pathetic right now but I just need you to know how much I regret everything that’s happened between us.” The way he spoke was the exact opposite of how he normally was: messy, frantic, unprepared and, of course, pathetic. He wasn’t sure how long he was talking for, in all honesty he wasn't sure how to stop. He explained everything to you, not leaving out even a fraction of how he had felt or what was going through his mind. You had to do a few double takes to make sure this was still the same Sakusa you had known before. For once, you thanked his blunt honesty. He rambled on and on, only stopping to catch his breath. When he finally stopped, you could see the embarrassment that shadowed his eyes. It was evident that his mind was beating him up for talking so much. A moment of silence hung around you. You struggled to fill it.
You looked at the ground, taking in his words. “Sakusa.. I-” A few seconds passed by. “I was not expecting that.” you said with a nervous chuckle. He let out a quiet groan of shame, looking away from you. He was adorable. You took a moment to put your next sentence together, processing every word of his apology. With a shaky sigh, your eyes met his again. He prepared himself to face your anger, bracing himself to hear the insults you would inevitably sling at him. He didn’t doubt for a second that he deserved it. But they never came. “Thanks for… all of that.” you laughed awkwardly, “I mean it. You have no idea how much I needed to hear those words from you. I don’t think it’s possible for me to keep being mad at you after hearing all of that.” you smiled at him again, tongue between your teeth. You swallowed, before continuing, “I’m sorry too. I should’ve let you explain yourself sooner. I was just so angry! I mean- you left out of fucking nowhere, y’know? I was so pissed off I couldn't stand to look at you, because I knew I'd forgive you immediately. It sounds stupid now that I’m saying it out loud…” you paused, looking into his eyes. “I’m so sorr-” he cut you off,
“Don’t say that. You don’t have anything to be sorry for.” His voice was low, truthful. Another beat of silence passed, before he started talking again. “Do you want to forgive me yet?” he asked, not doing anything to mask the pleading look on his face. His heart was racing, and he wasn’t sure whether it was nervousness or anticipation. Honestly, it was both. The thought of not forgiving him hadn’t crossed your mind once. You’ve waited way too long for this moment. With a smile, you pointed your finger to him.
“I forgive you. But, we won’t go right back to being friends. You have to earn that, okay?” your harsh words contradicted the happy expression on your face. He smiled wider than you’d seen in a while.
“Understood.”
Without saying another word, you pulled him into your arms; hugging him tightly. He stood there for a second, before wrapping his arms around you, resting his head on top of yours. He relished in the warmth of your embrace. God, he missed this.
“Thanks for giving me a chance.”

chapter 6 ► the fighting that i keep inviting could lead me to my grave
Tumblr media
Two 4 AM trains in the span of 48 hours were more than you or Jungkook could handle, so both of you slept through nearly the entire nine-hour ride from Paris to Berlin. You only woke up for the transfer in Mannheim, but barely—hunger carried you both to the train station where you could buy warm pastries before going back to sleep.
By the time the two of you rejoined the band, you felt exhausted and disoriented. Although you didn’t regret the detour to Paris, you still struggled to imagine how Jungkook was going to manage to perform a show in Berlin tonight. You hoped the exhaustion from the trip would numb him down to just the right level of insanity that he’d be able to pull it off.
In any case, you sent him to get some sleep for a few hours before Rated Riot’s soundcheck, while you went to check up on the crew that you’d left unsupervised while you were in Paris.
Unsurprisingly, everything was under control: Seokjin kept a tight grip on the stage management crew—you probably wouldn’t have believed it if you hadn’t seen it time and time again, but someone who joked around at every chance he got still managed to have one of the strongest work ethics on tour—and Namjoon had kept the remaining members of Rated Riot busy.
If you hadn’t been exhausted to the point of confusion, you might have felt offended about how little you were needed here.
Half an hour later, Luna found you stumbling back into the tour bus.
“How was the wedding?” she asked straight away.
She wasn’t the type to conceal her eagerness when she was particularly curious about something—it was not even the wedding in this case, but your confrontation with Jungkook—but she still made sure to help you climb up the bus steps before you tumbled backwards and broke your neck.
You were far too tired to understand the expectations that hid behind her question, however, as you mumbled dejectedly, “I caught the bouquet.”
“You—” she began to say and then burst into laughter so unexpectedly that the roadie, who’d been unloading the stage equipment outside the bus, flinched in surprise. “You caught the bouquet! Of course, you caught the fucking bouquet.”
You wondered if you were too out of it to understand why this was so funny to her that she couldn’t stop laughing the entire ride to the venue, but you lacked the energy to ask.
“There was no ex,” you said as you glided towards your bunk while your amused friend stood back, covering up the sharp angles on your way with her hand. “Sid was just being an idiot. If I see him—well, I probably won’t do anything because I don’t know what the laws for assault are in Germany—are we in Germany? I’m so tired.”
Noticing your haphazard stream of thoughts, Luna pulled herself together and stopped laughing—but only for a short while—as she helped you reach your bunk.
“We are in Germany,” she confirmed. “Although I’m not sure where you are. How about you take a quick nap while the band does their soundcheck?”
“No, no. I have things to do now that I’m back. To make up for leaving.”
“Things are fine,” she assured you. You knew she was right, but your guilt was persistent. “Nothing fell apart while you were gone. The guys took care of themselves just fine. You’ve raised them well.”
You acknowledged the joke with a small, tired smile. That was good enough for Luna, who was starting to get worried your condition would require medical attention, considering how adamantly you were resisting her attempts to sit you down in your bunk—despite looking like you may fall asleep standing up.
“Are you sure?” you asked again.
“I am,” she said. “Sleep, okay? We’ll be fine.”
Somewhere deep in your exhausted subconsciousness, you realised how unprofessional it would be to take a nap while the band you managed went to the soundcheck on their own. But your eyes were closing without your say so, and you hardly could have helped anyone in a state like this anyway.
Tumblr media
When you woke up several hours later, Rated Riot were doing their Meet & Greet according to schedule, and you felt much better—or, at least, good enough to return to your regular duties. You grabbed a Snickers bar from the mini-fridge, and then went out of the bus and into the venue.
As it turned out, it was only the stage management crew and the producers who had kept things in control; they were the ones who hadn’t noticed your absence. Unfortunately, everyone else had.
Luna was kind when she told you that nothing fell apart while you were gone.
Some things wobbled, and there were several rushed phone calls you had to make to fix it—namely, to make up for one of the interviews that Rated Riot missed because they were doing another interview, which wasn’t initially scheduled— but you were grateful for all of it. The sudden rush of adrenaline completely woke you up.
Meanwhile, Jungkook was doing jumping jacks in the changing room to keep himself awake after he managed to survive the Meet & Greet. It wasn’t terrible—it was, actually, very inspiring as these events tended to be—but he couldn’t stop apologising to the fans for his incessant yawning. It just wasn’t right. He was better than that—the fans deserved his complete presence.
The other Rated Riot members were getting snacks at the buffet on the first floor; they planned to go exploring Berlin for an hour or two before the show. Aware of that, Sid, Jude, and Minjun found their way into the changing room.
Their arrival stopped Jungkook’s exercise before they even announced their entrance. For a minute, the four of them regarded each other in complete silence.
Even Jude was quiet this time. As it turned out, his earlier sneezing was a lesser-known withdrawal symptom that one night out in the city seemed to fix—at least that’s what he informed everyone in the group chat. Jungkook wanted to know nothing about it; he rarely drew lines with his friends, but he drew one here. His preferred method of intoxication had always been alcohol and cigarettes, he never needed more thrills.
“Well!” Jungkook finally exclaimed. “If it isn’t my four-thousand dollars.”
Even if his friends hadn’t seen you two leave together the other day, everyone travelling with Rated Riot was aware that the manager of the band was going to be gone for a day, because she was taking a trip to Paris with Jungkook.
Sid mumbled something incoherent while Jude shook his head, and Minjun just stood there, hands in his pockets. He was the one who spoke up first, glancing between the three other boys.
“It seems like he won fair and square,” he said to Sid and Jude, both of whom appeared to be looking for loopholes. “I see no appeals.”
“That’s right,” Jungkook declared. “I did win fair. Even though some of you tried to play dirty.”
He only glanced at Sid as he said this—the insinuation obvious enough—but his friend reacted like he’d been shot.
“I didn’t even say anything to her!” he defended. Jungkook couldn’t help a knowing grin—he hadn’t even said anything about Sid talking to you. Irritably, Sid continued, “and how did you even win, exactly? We bet on a date, not a—whatever the fuck you two did.”
“We went on a date,” Jungkook said again, taking pride in his calm tone and the way it seemed to cause steam to come out of Sid’s ears. “To a wedding. Do I get an extra $500 for how romantic that is?”
Really, he didn’t care about the extra money. He cared about Sid’s reaction—and it was satisfying. The older boy rolled his eyes and kept toying with his hands: crossing, then uncrossing them, stuffing them in his pockets, then resting them on the back of a chair in front of him.
Finally, he said, “you went as friends.”
“She was my date,” Jungkook reiterated. “That’s how weddings work. You don’t bring friends, you bring dates.”
“That’s not—” Jude tried to interject, but Sid extended a dangerous hand and cut him off with this gesture alone.
“Did you kiss her at the end of this date?” he asked, the last word sounding more like a synonym for a massacre than a romantic night out on his lips.
Jungkook frowned at him. “How is that relevant to the bet?”
“It’s the most important part. That’s the one thing that separates your—your outing from actual dates.”
Jungkook swallowed and looked at his other friends. Jude seemed distracted, not paying much attention to the conversation at all, while Minjun just appeared uncomfortable like he had the first time he found out about the bet. Neither of them jumped to his side or even offered a sympathetic nod.
“That wasn’t what we talked about when we agreed to the bet,” Jungkook said. His voice lacked certainty and Sid picked up on it immediately.
“That’s literally how dates go,” he said and broke off into a leisurely stroll around the changing room. His previous resentment had long but faded as he explained, “you spend time together, you talk, whatever—then you kiss.”
“Sid, my man,” Minjun waited until Sid stopped walking, then patted him on the back, mocking comfort. “This reasoning is not on your side at all.”
“Yeah,” Jude agreed, snorting. “By this logic, you’ve never been on a single date in your whole life.”
Sid pushed his tongue into his cheek in annoyance, and even Jungkook grinned as the two boys high-fived over Sid’s head.
“It was a date,” Jungkook repeated once more. “Stop looking for ways out of it and go get my money.”
Jude pushed his hand into his back pocket where he kept his wallet—this didn’t seem to faze him much; for someone who had an abundance of it, this was just money—but Sid extended his hand again, signalling for him to stop. Clearly, it wasn’t just money for him. It was a matter of pride.
“Dude, you have got to stop doing that,” Jude said as Sid’s arm smacked him on the chest. “I’m not a fucking dog.”
Ignoring him, Sid narrowed his eyes at Jungkook. “You went to that wedding as friends and you know it.”
“Actually, thanks to you, I barely went to that wedding at all,” Jungkook shot back. He took one step closer to Sid with each sentence that followed, “but I did. And I took her as my date. Just like I said I would. So, pay up.”
By the time he finished speaking, he was right in front of him—and, therefore, had the best seats in the house to witness Sid actually hesitate, likely for the first time in his life.
Still, Sid clicked his tongue and said, “I don’t think so.”
Throwing his head back with a groan, Jungkook placed his hands on his hips.
“Sounds like you’re too idiotic to admit you lost,” he said. “Now what?”
He’d meant the question for the rest of his friends, but it was Sid who needed less than two seconds to offer a solution.
“We’ll use a referee,” he said, turning around. “Minjun?”
Clearly not having expected to be assigned this role, Minjun opened his mouth in surprise, then closed it again.
“What—why do I have to referee?” he asked after a moment. “I wasn’t even there when you made the bet.”
“That’s exactly why,” Sid said. “Jungkook, Jude and I are involved. You’re the only one who can be impartial.”
Jungkook didn’t protest; he didn’t see the point. Minjun was more level-headed than Sid, so he liked those odds. Not to mention, he’d always had a different friendship with Minjun, one that actually felt like a friendship. So, he only shrugged when Minjun glanced at him as if asking if he agreed with this.
Noticing this, Sid wondered, for a split-second, if Minjun really could be as impartial as he thought he’d be (and he’d thought that, of course, Minjun would swing more in his direction—all of Sid’s friends did, that’s why they were his friends).
“Fine,” Minjun decided, making his way to the middle of the changing room. “Sit down. Tell us about the date.”
All three of them obediently relocated to the couch. Jungkook had to sit on the armrest because Sid and Jude took up the entirety of the loveseat with their exceptional talent at manspreading.
“What else do you want me to say?” he asked. “I already told you everything.”
“That was barely anything,” Sid protested next to him.
Jungkook was about to argue back, but Minjun spoke first, “Sid’s right. I need to know more details so I can make an informed decision.”
Jungkook didn’t know if that was fair—he’d taken you out on a date, he’d won—and he didn’t want to share anything else with them. This seemed like Sid’s way to rile him up even more, and the rest of his friends played along with it.
“We went to a wedding,” he said.
“You already said that,” Minjun pointed out.
“Okay,” Jungkook clenched his jaw. Then added, “we took a train to get there.”
“Fuck’s sake,” Jude was the one who got annoyed first as he groaned and locked his hands behind his head. “If that’s all you did, you definitely didn’t go to that wedding as dates. You barely went as friends, my man.”
Offended, Jungkook shuffled in his seat, trying to throw one leg over the other, but nearly losing his balance on the armrest as he did. He settled back into his previous stoic position.
“That’s—that’s not all we did,” he said awkwardly.
“Okay, so what else?” Minjun encouraged. “Did you talk?”
“No, we mimed to make it more fun,” he deadpanned. “Of course, we fucking talked. We talked the whole time on the train.”
Ignoring his wit, Minjun gave a thoughtful nod. “Okay. So, that’s what? Fifteen hours of non-stop talking? That’s a point for Jungkook.”
“Wait, wait, wait,” Sid immediately perked up, leaning forward with so much force that he nearly knocked Jungkook off the armrest. “But how do we know he’s not lying to us?”
Jungkook thought he might start throwing things. He wasn’t sure how he felt about whatever this was, but it sure reminded him of an interrogation, and he couldn’t help feeling defensive—to the point of physical violence if that’s what it took. But Minjun took his role as a referee very seriously.
“Because I have to pry information about this date out of him,” he said. Sid leaned back in his seat, smacking his lips in resignation. Minjun added, this time throwing a warning look at Jungkook, “and because if he says something I have a hard time believing, I’ll go straight to the other source.”
Jungkook widened his eyes, near-frantic. “You can’t ask her. She’ll kick me out of the band. She’ll never fucking speak to me again!”
Unsure which consequence Jungkook was more afraid of, Minjun nodded and said, gentler now, “then don’t lie.”
“I haven’t lied once,” he argued, picking up a decorative pillow off the floor—it must have fallen there when the two boys sat down on the couch—and tossing it at Sid, who caught it before it hit his face. “Your distrustful ass needs to shut up and quit whining. You fucking lost.”
“I didn’t fucking—”
“Focus,” Minjun said firmly—like a teacher, trying to discipline unruly kindergartners. “Jungkook. What did you talk about? How many mentions of your feelings for each other?”
Jungkook closed his eyes at the question, pushing his chin forward, an expression of blatant disbelief on his face.
“How many mentions of—what the fuck?” he spoke, unable to repeat the question without scoffing. He opened his eyes to look at each one of his friends. “Have any of you ever been on a real date?”
“I’d be on one right now if we weren’t holding court about a fucking bet,” Jude mumbled, his stare vacant as he clearly shifted in and out of focus on this conversation.
“I take it no mentions, then,” Minjun concluded.
“Of course, no mentions,” Jungkook groaned, throwing his hands in the air. “Who the fuck—”
“1-1,” Minjun declared, cutting him off. Cursing under his breath at the ridiculous, almost unrealistic turn that this bet had taken, Jungkook pushed himself deeper into the armrest, his side purposefully digging into Sid’s. Minjun asked, “how much time did you spend together—just the two of you—excluding the time on the train?”
“Wh—okay,” the vocalist inhaled, figuring he’d have to actually answer this one or else his friend would vote in Sid’s favour again. “We took a cab to the wedding. And walked around the Champs-Elysées.”
“Good, good,” Minjun nodded. “Was there any sort of—"
“Wait,” Jungkook stopped him, “don’t I get a point for that?”
“For what?” Sid interjected. “Walking down the street with her?”
“It wasn’t a fucking—”
“You get half a point,” Minjun said. “Now was there any sort of physical touching? Any hugs? Embraces?”
Again, Jungkook was forced to give his friends questioning looks. He felt incredulous—not just because it was starting to seem likely that he’d lose the bet, but also because they were forcing him to share the parts of his life that he’d never shared with anyone other than you before.
“You’re exploiting the shit out of me right now,” he said.
Minjun groaned and proceeded to curse as he spun around his axis, finally losing patience—not with Jungkook per se. He was just tired of being the middleman in a very stupid, childish game.
“We’re literally trying to find out if you were on a date or not,” he said louder. “Why is it so hard for you to just answer the questions and get this over with?”
“Because it’s my fucking business!” Jungkook snapped, jumping to his feet. “We never agreed that I’d have to share any details about the date. Just the fact that there even was a date was supposed to be enough.”
“But we don’t know if there was a date,” Sid argued—in every way that Jungkook appeared agitated right now, Sid came off as victorious. He knew this wasn’t looking good for Jungkook. “That’s the whole point.”
“Why the fuck would I take her to Paris,” he demanded, aware that he was yelling now, “if not for a fucking date?!”
“Because you’re in love with her,” Sid shot back. The relative calmness of his voice in comparison to his only pissed Jungkook off more.
Both of them were standing now, but Sid, who was only taller by a few centimetres, somehow always had the upper hand—not just in this conversation, but in their friendship, too.
In barely fifteen minutes, the tables had turned completely, and Jungkook was the one losing control of himself.
“That has nothing to do with—oh my God,” he covered his face with his hands and turned his back to his friends, giving up. “Okay. Fine. I can’t do this shit.”
“So, you admit defeat?” Sid asked—Jungkook could hear the grin on his friend’s face without looking at him.
“I admit nothing,” he grumbled.
“If you can’t prove it was a date, you lose.”
Turning around to look at him, Jungkook shrugged with exaggerated intensity as he asked through a humourless laugh, “how would I prove it? Everything I say sounds like a joke to you three.”
“I wasn’t laughing,” Jude spoke up suddenly—another return to the home planet—and then mumbled, “you’re not very funny.”
“I wasn’t trying to be—” Jungkook stopped and inhaled sharply. He’d grown tired of playing this courtroom drama with the three of them. “Alright. I need to get ready for the show.”
All three of his friends understood the subtle indication that Jungkook was kicking them out of the changing room—Minjun turned towards the door and Jude stood up from the couch. But Sid stood still.
“The keys,” he said.
Jungkook frowned. “What?”
“Hand over the keys.”
Clenching his jaw, Jungkook kept eye contact with him for a minute before saying firmly, “I’m not handing you anything.”
“You lost the bet,” Sid said—his voice gaining a dangerous edge now that Jungkook wasn’t complying. “The Katana is mine.”
Jungkook pursed his lips as he continued to stare defiantly into his friend’s eyes.
“If I can’t prove it was a date,” he said, “then you can’t prove it wasn’t.”
The two of them watched each other for another minute until Sid licked his lips and nodded, signalling that—for once—he agreed to disagree.
“Alright,” he said, looking around the room. Jungkook did not feel relief. He felt tension. “I see how it is. How about we adjust the conditions of the bet, then?”
Even though he was sure he didn’t want to know, Jungkook still asked, “what does that mean?”
“If you manage to get back together with her,” Sid proposed, “we’ll all pay you $5000 each.”
Just as Jungkook lifted his eyebrows, Minjun furrowed his, declaring right away, “don’t include me in your shit.”
“Fine,” Sid agreed. Then clarified to Jungkook, “Jude and I will pay you $5000 each.”
It took Jude a moment to react, and he, too, tried to back out of this. “I don’t think I—”
“You were in the original bet,” Sid said, shooting a warning look his way, “you can’t get out now.”
Jude wasn’t very pleased with having to go through this again—even if the first bet didn’t, technically, cost him anything. He relented, though, because he always did, “fine, you bitch.”
Sid looked back at Jungkook, waiting for his response.
Aware of the predicament that he’d found himself in—or, rather, that Sid had manipulated him in—Jungkook crossed his arms on his chest and took his time before speaking up.
“And if I disagree?” he asked.
“Well, you have two options here,” Sid said, “either you give the keys to me because you lost the previous bet, or you hand the keys over to Minjun, our impartial referee, while I wait for you to lose this updated bet.”
Minjun rolled his eyes again, annoyed that he still couldn’t escape being involved in Sid’s game.
Jungkook, on the other hand, needed another minute. He’d definitely prefer to give Minjun the keys—just because he knew Minjun might give them back to him.
“So, just to be clear,” Jungkook started slowly, “you’re saying that if I get back together with her, I’m keeping the Katana and getting 10K?”
“Yes,” Sid confirmed. “And if you don’t, the bike’s ours. We’ll find good use for it. How does that sound?”
Like signing your soul over for the devil, that’s how it sounded.
Jungkook shook his head. A date was a date, he thought you would find a way to let that slide if you accidentally found out. But his relationship with you wasn’t for sale.
“I don’t think so,” he said.
Sid took it well, merely shrugging as he extended his hand, palm up. “Well, then hand over the keys.”
Agitated again, Jungkook smacked his palm against Sid’s. “Get out of here. I’m not fucking—”
“You lost the bet,” Sid repeated, enunciating each word so loudly, it cut Jungkook off. “The Katana is fucking mine, I’m just generous enough to give you another chance to win it back.”
“It’s not fucking yours.”
“He’s right,” Jude spoke up again—very unhappy that he was only remembered when the topic turned to him paying. “It’s technically ours.”
“It’s mine,” Jungkook said, taking a moment to look at both, Sid and Jude, as he repeated, “I didn’t lose.”
“Then you have no choice,” Sid concluded. “The bet is ongoing.”
“How is it ongoing?” he argued. “It’s one thing to go on a date—”
“Which you didn’t,” Sid interjected.
“—which I did,” Jungkook countered, his eyes burning with a flame so angry, it was almost a miracle Sid didn’t immediately catch fire. “But you’re suggesting a completely different thing now. Starting a relationship is not the same. Especially if it’s a relationship with someone you already dated before.”
“I know,” Sid said, seemingly unbothered. Jungkook wondered why, because his friend didn’t look pleased, either. He didn’t look like he’d tricked him, like he knew he’d win for sure.
Clearly then, Sid had to think that the odds of winning this bet were, more or less, equal for both of them. That had to mean that a part of him believed that Jungkook could really get back together with you.
Consequently, Jungkook realised that Sid wasn’t, really, suggesting anything at all. He was simply telling him that this was how it was going to be from now on.
“I can’t do that just randomly,” he said. “I can’t just approach her and ask her this. It’s—”
“Two weeks,” Sid said. “That enough for you?”
Jungkook swallowed.
Even though he wanted this, he knew that attempting to get back together with you now could jeopardize everything that you’ve done in the past two years as Rated Riot’s manager. Jungkook didn’t think he wanted to burn down the same bridges that the two of you had built back from the ground up.
That being said, there was a glimmer of hope—very obscure, barely there, not even visible, really, just faintly humming somewhere about his chest—that you would get back together, and his reward wouldn’t just be $10 000.
It’d also be a future with you; the very same one that he could sense in Paris.
He knew he didn’t need a bet to bring this future to the present. If anything, the bet might hinder the progress of your relationship. But if there was a possibility that he’d get everything: you, his bike, and the defeat of Sid; if there was a possibility that, for once, the idiot would lose and all of his shit-talking would come back to make him miserable… Jungkook was on the edge of considering it.
Smirking as the younger boy bit his lip in anxious contemplation, Sid looked at the other two guys in the room and announced cheerfully, “you’re actually doubting this!”
“I’m not doubting the time frame,” Jungkook said. “I’m doubting if you’ll keep your end of the deal since you’re very much fucking me over right now.”
Sid rolled his eyes.
“We can write the conditions down and have Minjun stamp it if that makes you feel better,” he said.
Minjun—the designated lawyer, apparently—groaned, but did not audibly object. This wasn’t a conversation involving him—it barely involved Jude, who was, technically, part of the bet—so he stood back and watched the face-off on the sidelines.
“Stamp it with what?” Jungkook asked, finding this excessive. “Our blood?”
“Anything that makes you feel better.”
Jungkook brought his tongue over his teeth as he thought this over.
He couldn’t do this.
But how could he not? If he gave his bike up now, if he dropped out of the bet, Sid would be free to find you and tell you about it—acting like he didn’t mean it. Like he was just showing off the bike that Jungkook gave him, and the bet simply came up. And then, not only would Jungkook lose his Katana, but he’d definitely lose you, too.
No, he had to be the one who told you about this in hopes that, once your initial anger faded, you would cooperate with him. Not for the Katana, but to make Sid fail. And maybe that could be what brought you together, what made you stay together even after the bet ended.
It’s the only way he could win.
Sighing, he asked. “What are the conditions?”
“First of all,” Sid started—glancing at Minjun who pulled his phone out to write it down. iPhones seemed more formal than bar napkins and Jungkook bit his lip, realising this was serious as Sid dictated the rules, “you both have to be aware that you’re back together.”
“That’s already a given.”
“Not with you it isn’t, you sneaky shit,” Sid disagreed, the seemingly innocent smile on his face concealing his anger about not having gotten his way with the first bet.
“Fine,” Jungkook agreed and immediately offered his own condition, “then you can’t talk to her about the bet or attempt to ruin this for me. Just sit back and wait until it’s over.”
Sid considered this. “Alright. But you can’t tell her anything, either. If I find out that the two of you plotted against me, the deal’s off and the bike is mine.”
Jungkook was the one who needed a minute this time.
Obviously, Sid had single-handedly ruined a plan that, Jungkook now realised, wasn’t very well-developed to begin with. But Sid’s satisfied mug pushed him to clench his jaw and agree anyway.
“Fine,” he settled. “I won’t tell her anything.”
It could still be okay, he hoped. He would just have to find a different way.
Perhaps, he thought suddenly, he could drag this out long enough that Sid would forget about it. Even two weeks could be plenty if enough happened to distract him—or if Jungkook stopped talking about it altogether.
Both boys looked over at Minjun, who typed for two more seconds, then looked up at each of them and nodded.
“The keys,” Sid reminded Jungkook.
Groaning, he pulled them out and passed them over to Minjun who had the decency to look apologetic as he took them from him.
“So,” Sid continued then, grinning mischievously as he extended his hand. “Do we shake on it?”
Jungkook knew he had a big head when it came to talking about this, but he also knew that actually making this happen would be a true challenge. He wasn’t sure if he could do this. He was sure he didn’t want to do this.
But if he succeeded—fuck—he’d get you back. There was hardly anything else in this world he would still want. Maybe a nice meal every now and then, but he’d make do with dry ramen noodles until the end of his days if he had to.
Fuck.
He liked his odds; the date at Kihyun’s wedding went well, after all. But Jungkook could also recall—very vividly—you telling him that you didn’t believe in second chances. Not to mention, you’d been very explicit when you’d asked him not to lie to you again.
Fuck.
“You’re sure taking your sweet time,” Sid teased, his hand still hanging in the air. “Not so sure of yourself anymore?”
It had to get worse before it got better, Jungkook told himself.
He had to agree to this, first of all, to find a way out. Then, he had to win to turn this bet into a distant memory with minimal consequences, to make it almost like it never even happened before—without you knowing, without him losing his bike, without Sid fucking winning.
And, most importantly, through this, he had to find his way back to you.
“Oh, I’m sure,” he lied—he did it well and he could tell, based on the way Sid narrowed his eyes when Jungkook’s palm touched his. “You’re fucking pitiful. But I’m still going to win this.”

Jungkook was worried he’d have a hard time performing after agreeing to the bet, but the concert in Berlin, surprisingly, worked as a distraction.
He sensed the irony: once, he’d used the bet to distract him from the anxiety of the tour. Now he had to perform in order to distract himself from the bet.
Still, once the show finished, Minjun saw the vacancy behind Jungkook’s eyes, and it unsettled him. Wanting to take his friend’s mind off this, he suggested getting drinks once the bus arrived in Copenhagen.
Jungkook took that to assume it’d only be the two of them going out, leaving Sid and Jude to occupy themselves with something else, and he didn’t mind that at all.
But this was where unforeseen circumstances altered their plans.
While the band was having after-show drinks backstage in Berlin, the crew dismantled the stage set: several bars of batten were dropped, causing minor injuries for the staff members in charge of the deconstruction. They didn’t need medical attention, thankfully, but the equipment had been broken—decorative light fixtures with Rated Riot’s logo that were supported on the battens had shattered and the metal pipe constructions had come apart.
You were informed that it would take approximately two hours to salvage what was fixable and load the equipment back onto the buses before you could leave for Copenhagen. Naturally, you were concerned about the state of the staff—if they could even drive after this—but they assured you they were fine. Still, you insisted they rested after having reassembled the equipment and assessed the damage.
Finally, everyone settled on leaving Berlin at five or six in the morning—that gave you, at least, five more hours in the city.
While this might turn out to be a logistical challenge for you and the rest of the roadies, it was an opportunity for Minjun, who immediately pulled Jungkook outside, already looking up the closest bars.
“No time like the present,” he’d said after Jungkook questioned what happened to getting drinks in Denmark. “We grab something here, get some sleep, and then grab something else once we arrive.”
Most unfortunately, Sid and Jude also saw this as an opportunity to get drunk, and did not hesitate to invite themselves to join the other two boys.
Technically, Jungkook and Minjun didn’t even realise that they weren’t the only ones entering the bar until Sid ordered them to get a table while he and Jude went to get drinks.
They were always the ones who picked the drinks for the night, and, for the first time in his life, Jungkook felt a little concerned—Sid and Jude always, without a fail, chose the drinks with the highest alcohol concentration.
“Why do you care?” Minjun asked as the two of them settled in the booth of the bar. “You’ve only passed out drunk, maybe, three times in your whole life.”
“I haven’t slept properly in two days,” Jungkook said. “So the fourth time might be tonight. And if that happens—”
“Don’t worry. I’ll personally carry you home,” Minjun replied. “I’m not getting your girl involved.”
“What girl?” Sid asked, returning with a tray. The question was unnecessary, really; he was already grinning anyway. “Last time I checked, she wanted nothing to do with you and only went to Paris with you out of—”
“One more word about it,” Jungkook said, “and I’m leaving you stranded in Germany.”
“Sensitive,” Sid commented and sat down next to him while Jude climbed into the booth next to Minjun. “Alright. Let’s get you loosened up, you’re awfully uptight.”
Minjun noticed that whatever Jungkook prepared to respond with wasn’t going to be pretty. He wanted to avoid confrontation and pushed the highball glass towards him.
While Jungkook drank, Minjun made sure to shift the topic: staying close enough to the bet so that Sid would remain entertained, but making sure to drift away from you, so Jungkook wouldn’t be triggered, either.
“How’s the engine on your Katana?” he asked. “All good?”
The question seemed innocent enough, but Jungkook saw through this plan as he swallowed his drink. He gave his friend a look—Minjun wasn’t sure if it was grateful or just confused—as he put his glass down and wiped his mouth with the back of his palm.
“It’s fine,” he said. “The oil’s leaking, though. I still don’t know why.”
“The gasket has worn out, probably,” Jude offered right away. If he didn’t have a trust fund bigger than ideas what to do with it, he might have genuinely considered becoming a mechanic.
“It couldn’t have,” Jungkook said. “I just changed it.”
“Did you change all the plugs, too?” Sid asked. He could tell from the look in Jungkook’s eyes as he took another sip instead of answering that he hadn’t. “You don’t know how to take care of it properly. I told you that you should have let me look at it. It’s why I’m going to be—”
“You break everything you touch,” Jude accused before Sid could elaborate further. “Let me take a look at it when we get back.”
Jungkook’s three friends – although significantly wealthier than he was – had always had a soft spot for anything that had wheels. It started out with tuning their bikes when they were fifteen and turned into purchasing their own vehicles when they got older: which meant Sid, Jude, and Minjun getting their first cars at seventeen, and Jungkook purchasing his Katana as soon as he made enough money for it. Minjun had known this when he asked the question that started the conversation.
And so, for the next hour and a half, the four of them immersed themselves in a discussion about Jungkook’s Katana, Sid’s vast collection of chevies (nevermind that he’d inherited the first Chevrolet from his grandfather, and the rest were gifted to him by his parents), and Jude’s latest hobby: restoring his 2002 Nissan Skyline after he’d wrecked it drag-racing.
“See, I knew no one should let you drive,” Sid said—he’d already had five drinks at that point and was, therefore, rocking gently in his seat.
“You’re one to fucking talk” Jude heated up, equally as drunk. “You can’t tell the wheel from your ass.”
Jungkook snickered as he sipped his drink.
Minjun took over the argument, “you’re both shit, actually. As far as I remember, Jungkook and I won most of our races. But I was driving in all of them, of course.”
Here, Jungkook raised his head, his eyebrows furrowed in offence.
“Not true,” he said indignantly. “I was driving at least once when we won.”
Minjun gave him a look. “You crashed into a wall that time.”
“We still won, though.”
“Because Sid dented someone’s fence and lost a tire a minute before you!”
“Still,” Jungkook said with a pout that he was not aware of. Then, he added a very important, “I’m not that bad of a driver.”
There was irony in Minjun’s laugh as he shook his head and began to list off the consequences of their win, “both of us had whiplash. The car was totalled. Your girlfriend nearly left you.”
Jungkook put his glass down with more force than intended—any mention of you sent a signal into his subconsciousness, as it seemed. “Okay, that’s—that’s a different thing.”
“How is that a different thing?” Minjun did not relent. “You’d even named the car after her.”
“Are you implying I crashed it because I’d named it after her?”
“I’m saying if you can’t drive a car you named after your girl, then how can you—”
“You know what?” Sid cut in, growing bored. He pulled his phone out and nearly dropped it as he smacked his elbow into the edge of the table. Hissing in pain, he lifted his phone off the settee and clutched his arm, “fucking shit. God. We need a new race to settle it. You and Minjun wouldn’t be on the same team for once. You think we could rent out cars here?”
He was already browsing on his phone when Minjun snorted. “Definitely not at four in the morning.”
“We could do it tomorrow,” Jude suggested. Sid nodded right away. Jude pointed his glass at his friend’s phone and said, “look up rental places in Denmark.”
If Jungkook wasn’t so tired—and the two Manhattans he’d consumed didn’t help, either—he would have been surprised that Jude knew his European countries well enough to recognize Copenhagen as the capital of Denmark. Instead, he pulled his own phone out of his pocket.
“Actually,” he said then. “Maybe we should go. The bar closes soon, and we have to get back to the bus.”
Sid lifted his eyebrows and looked at his friends for support—Jude was already gathering his belongings, and Minjun was already halfway out of the booth, too.
“Wow,” Sid said, despite being the only one who had a problem with Jungkook’s statement. “What’d she do to you? You’re no fun.”
“I agree with him,” Minjun cut in before Jungkook could say—or throw, as he clutched his empty glass—anything else. “We should go.”
Rolling his eyes and grunting about how boring everyone had gotten in Europe, Sid pushed past them to exit the booth and headed to the bathroom before they left. Minjun made him swear not to drink anything else on his way back, and the rest of the boys went outside to wait.
Meanwhile, you had been busy helping the roadies out—before they politely escorted you outside, claiming that they were stressed out by the endless phone calls you were getting from the label after they heard of the problems with the stage set—so you hadn’t seen Jungkook leave with his friends.
But Maggie—friend, tour photographer, social drinker with an alcohol tolerance that could have knocked Jungkook out—had spotted them. And it gave her a wonderful idea the second she saw you lingering by the exit of the venue.
“Since we’re stuck in Berlin,” she had announced to you, “let’s do something with it.”
It had sounded like a suggestion only for a second—immediately after she said it, she grabbed your hand and pulled you after herself to find Luna. It wouldn’t have been a proper night out if the three of you weren’t together.
Not many bars were still open at nearly four in the morning, but Maggie seemed to have a radar—the three of you were in a booth at the very back of some half-deserted pub before the remaining 20% of your phone battery could run out.
“I don’t think I should have left, to be honest,” you said, your hand hesitating around the cocktail glass that Maggie had ordered for you as soon as you walked inside. “We were having kind of a crisis back there.”
“You weren’t doing anything,” Maggie replied. She was sitting next to you and leaned over to pat your back in a comforting manner as she admitted, “I overheard Otto call Seokjin to come pick you up and get you out of there.”
Otto was one of the roadies and Seokjin’s right hand backstage. You didn’t know he initiated your removal from the venue, and you didn’t particularly like being excluded when you thought you could have been helpful. Clearly, the stage management team thought otherwise.
“I’m with Maggie,” Luna said; she knew you’d expect her to back you up, so she spoke before you could. “If something happens, you can still go back. A few drinks won’t hurt.”
“Yeah, and besides,” Maggie raised her glass, “if the boys get to drink, we should, too.”
The two girls laughed at this, clinking their glasses—it seemed like an appropriate toast—but you needed another minute in your managerial role before you could fully detach yourself.
“What do you mean?” you asked. “Who’s drinking?”
You directed your attention at Luna—your gaze inquiring about her boyfriend’s whereabouts—and she swallowed her drink before speaking. “I don’t know. Taehyung is asleep on the bus.”
“It’s Jungkook,” Maggie answered you. “I saw him leave with his friends.”
You closed your eyes, realising that you should have expected this.
Everything seemed to have been decided for you – you weren’t required back at the venue and you couldn’t, exactly, stumble around the streets of Berlin in search of Jungkook and his friends, either.
If anything, you were required here as your friends watched you expectantly.
They were right, really. A few drinks weren’t going to be a problem if you’d get a call (that is, if your phone wouldn’t die until then). And you were tired, anyway—to the point where sleep evaded you sometimes, just because you craved it so much. Alcohol might even help in this case.
However, as soon as you finally tasted the cocktail in your glass, you heard someone clear their throat behind you. You glanced at your friends first—they were either lifting their eyebrows (in Maggie’s case) or rolling their eyes (in Luna’s)—then you swallowed and turned around.
“What a coincidence!” Sid exclaimed when your eyes met.
A part of you—a dark impulse that you didn’t try particularly hard to control—wanted to toss your remaining drink right at him; like holy water at a possessed child. Begone, demon.
Before you could react, however, Jungkook rushed into the bar from outside. You merely had enough time to grasp what was happening—the bar that Maggie had picked happened to be the same one that Jungkook and his friends had been drinking in—before Jungkook pulled on Sid’s shoulder, forcefully dragging him away from you.
“He was just leaving,” he said briskly.
Sid tried to resist, but Jungkook had more strength—and far more determination. “I wasn’t. I’m actually—”
“He’s leaving,” Jungkook repeated with a strictness in his voice that you weren’t sure you’d heard before.
“What are you even doing here?” Sid whined at his friend as he was tossed to a side that was furthest away from you. “I thought you were waiting outside.”
“You took too long,” Jungkook mumbled. “Go.”
Sid groaned, but allowed the younger boy to literally drag him away. Once Minjun was close enough, he took over and grabbed the side of Sid’s jacket, pushing him through the door of the bar.
Jungkook looked back at you and gave you a small nod—as though encouraging you to stay with your friends instead of going after him to check up on him. You nodded back, thus allowing him to walk outside after Sid.
Jungkook was fuming.
Things had been going well tonight; he’d actually had a nice night with his friends and even forgot that these were the same people who pushed him into this bet.
But then he was forced to watch—in horror—as Sid approached you back at the bar, and he remembered everything.
So, while Sid pushed Minjun off of himself, Jungkook snarled, “I thought it was clear that you can’t fucking talk to her.”
Sid only shrugged and pulled out a cigarette from a pack inside his jacket pocket. “I just went over to say hi.”
“Don’t.”
Sid rolled his eyes. “I wasn’t going to mention the bet,” he spoke and offered cigarettes to Jude and Minjun first, then to Jungkook. All three of them took one each. Sid lit his up and continued, “you can’t forbid me from talking to her altogether.”
“Actually, I can,” Jungkook replied, still irritated that he hadn’t been there—once again—to stop Sid from approaching you. “And that’s exactly what I’m doing now.”
Despite the argument, Jungkook took Sid’s lighter when he offered it to him. In doing so, he realised that the paradox of this situation summarised their friendship fairly well. It had always been like this between him and Sid: constantly bantering and arguing, but staying friends, nevertheless.
“Why?” Sid asked with a grin, perpetually amused by Jungkook’s protectiveness. He blew smoke out and asked, “scared I’ll steal her from you?”
Jude and Minjun snorted in unison. The mocking sound took Sid’s attention off Jungkook as he glowered at them.
“You’re drunker than I thought,” Minjun commented, bolder than Jude was under Sid’s glare.
“What is that supposed to mean?” Sid challenged. “You all know I’m one of a fucking kind.”
Now Jude and Minjun were nearly howling with laughter, and even Jungkook couldn’t resist smirking. Meanwhile, Sid’s frown deepened. He liked to tease others; he didn’t like to be teased—never mind that he was setting himself up for mockery.
“You’re not shit,” Jude retorted, too drunk to come up with a wittier comeback. “She would never go for you.”
“No, he had a point,” Jungkook said. “She’s never hated anyone for as long as I’ve known her. Except for him.” He turned to Sid with a derisive grin. “So, you really are one of a kind.”
“Oh, I see,” Sid laughed humourlessly. He took another drag and then said to Jungkook—not even blinking as he watched him, “tonight was fun. But it’s going to get even better once you lose the bet.”
Jungkook remained apathetic as he removed the cigarette from his lips. “I won’t.”
“You will,” Sid insisted. His intense staring was an intimidation tactic that Jungkook had already grown accustomed to. He did not twitch or back away when Sid leaned in closer. “And you know why? Because you’re in love with her.”
This time, he wasn’t going to argue otherwise. Sid had used this as a weapon, he meant to ridicule him with it. But Jungkook—in this tipsy and tired state—realised that his self-esteem didn’t depend on whether his friends thought he still loved you or not.
Before, he had been eager to show them that he didn’t care about you—he thought that was the only way he could prove that his friends weren’t significantly better than him just because they weren’t in love with anyone.
Now he was going to show them that he did care about you, and caring still didn’t make him inferior.
“This might be disappointing to you,” Jungkook retorted, “but I can be in love with her and still make you lose.”
“See,” Sid said, grinning because this confession was precisely what he was coaxing out of Jungkook. And it was precisely the reason why Sid thought Jungkook would never win against him—be it a bet, or just in life in general. “But I don’t think you can.”
“Sit back and watch me, then,” Jungkook replied, blowing smoke out in Sid’s face. He pulled back immediately and the dissatisfied frown on his face was, simply put, beautiful.

Back inside, the girls chose to avoid discussing what had just happened with you. They had their reasons for changing the topic, too: Maggie had a policy against all boys who dared to interrupt your girls’ night, and Luna simply knew that if you continued to talk about this, you’d be more tempted to go out and check if Jungkook wasn’t getting into trouble.
But not even ten minutes later—just when you’d finished your second glass—Jungkook himself unexpectedly returned to the bar. You’d noticed him from across the room, and the second your eyes met, he made a beeline for you.
“Sorry about that before,” he said to everyone at your table, nodding apologetically at Luna and Maggie. “I, um, wanted to let you know that I’m going to be heading back. The bus is about to leave, right?”
Still surprised by his sudden reappearance, you were slow to pick your phone up. The battery had finally given in; you couldn’t tell what time it was. Both girls noticed this and were about to pull their own electronics out, but Jungkook reacted first.
“It’s four-thirty,” he said helpfully. “The bar is closing soon.”
“Oh.” You nodded. “Yeah. The bus is leaving in an hour, probably. Where’s the rest of your posse?”
“They already left,” he said without a further comment. Instead, he asked, “actually, can I talk to you for a second before I go?”
You looked back at your friends—both of them gave you permissive nods with grins that might’ve made the Cheshire Cat run away in shame.
“Sure,” you told Jungkook and turned your head away from your friends as if you could pretend you hadn’t seen their teasing smiles—that only made them giggle more.
The two of you walked towards the nearly empty bar—reasonable people were asleep this early in the morning—which wasn’t very far from your booth, but you figured the music played loud enough to drown your conversation out.
“So, um,” Jungkook began slowly—awkwardly—as he leaned his elbow against the bar top. “How are you feeling after the trip and… everything?”
There was something endearing about the uncertainty with which he’d asked you this. Pursing your lips lightly to hide your smile, you said, “it should be me asking you that.”
“It’s not. I’m the one asking,” he said so matter-of-factly that your smile only widened. He added, “I’m fine anyway.”
“I’m okay, too,” you said. “Tired to the point of taking a nap right on this bar, but other than that, I’m fine.”
He glanced at the bar after you’d mentioned it—as if assessing if it’d be a comfortable enough place to sleep on.
“Will you, um—will you be okay going back?” he asked then.
Your smile was plain and obvious now; hiding it required too much effort. Maybe the drinks Maggie got you were laced with something.
“It should be me asking you that, too,” you said.
“I’ll be perfect,” he replied, waving his hand around dismissively. “But I can, uh, stay back,” he looked at your friends over his shoulder—you noticed them both turn away, having been caught staring. “But I don’t want to interrupt.”
“Oh, yeah, no,” you agreed, your eyes still locked on the girls. “Maggie has a strict no-boys rule.”
You weren’t sure if she heard you or if her sudden snickering was unrelated to your comment.
“Oh?” this seemed to pique his interest. “Are you going to get in trouble now?”
“Probably,” you said casually enough. Trouble with Maggie usually meant more drinks, so you weren’t particularly worried. “She might already have a penalty for me.”
Despite you making it sound like this wasn’t the first time a boy interrupted your girls’ night to talk to you, Jungkook felt himself smile—he was the boy you’d broken Maggie’s rule for tonight.
“Because of me?” he still asked, a noticeable sense of entitlement behind his words.
“Don’t get excited.”
He snorted. “What’s the penalty? I’ll do it for you.”
“I’ll do it myself,” you said with a sigh as you extended your hands and laid your head on the bartop. “But some other night. I’m shutting down now.” You noticed the flash of concern in his eyes after you’d said that and added, “I’ll be fine. We’ll be heading back soon anyway. Get back to your friends.”
Your last sentence made him pause.
“That’s—” he stopped for another moment to mentally rewind through all the years that he’s known you. “That’s probably the first time you said that.”
You shrugged, having just enough energy to tease, “I trust Minjun.”
“Minju—but not me?” he questioned, offended.
“I’m working on it.”
“Well, how do I speed that up, then?”
“You can’t.”
He watched you for a minute, analysing your face for a possible option. He offered, “another trip to Paris?”
You knew he was joking, but you still grunted in refusal—that only made his teasing smirk widen.
“That’ll do the opposite,” you said. “I’m not going off-tour again. Look what happened tonight.”
You weren’t completely serious, but you couldn’t help but still feel uncomfortable that you had the leisure to travel Europe and drink with your friends, while the rest of the staff had to struggle with a stage set that was, apparently, falling apart.
Jungkook wasn’t sure if you genuinely blamed yourself or if this was just an illustrative exaggeration—your tired face was hard to read.
“Our trip to Paris is unrelated to what happened with the stage tonight,” he assured you in any case.
“Related or not,” you said and yawned mid-word, “now I can’t get proper sleep.”
His reaction was immediate—with one hand on your palm that you’d rested on the bar top, and another one on your waist, he encouraged, “come on, then. I’ll take you back to the bus. Let’s sleep.”
You were tempted—not just because his touch was warm and soft, but also because the thought of sleep seemed so satisfying right now that even the music in the bar faded into the background.
Still, you resisted, “the girls—”
“We’re fine!” Luna hollered; her glass raised. She was already tipsy and, obviously, had been waiting for an opening to give you permission to leave. “Maggie and I are going to stay back a while.”
You lifted your head to look at your friends again and caught them both smirking at you. They had seemingly overheard the entirety of your conversation, never mind the music.
“The bar closes in half an hour,” you reminded them with a frown. Jungkook’s hands were still on you—more supportive than before as soon as he felt the gentle sway of your tired body.
“We’ll find a way to keep ourselves busy until it’s time to leave,” Maggie added—which surprised you. Normally, it was the three of you against anyone who dared to interrupt your night. “You two can go ahead.”
You turned to Jungkook, who nodded at the door and seemed to make this decision for you. You really needed that today and you were quite unashamed about it; if anything, you appreciated everyone else deciding what you’d do for once.
You stood up properly and took a step away from him—he had to let go and did so reluctantly—to pick up your phone and your handbag from the booth. Your friends watched you, beaming, and you caught yourself before you began to smile, too.
Then, you allowed Jungkook to take you back to the bus.
It wasn’t a long walk, but you felt too drained to even take your shoes off when you got back. Plugging your phone in to charge, you laid down on your bunk, still in your clothes, and looked over at Jungkook.
Stubbornly, he refused to go to sleep until he was sure you were settled, so he was leaning against the partition wall between the opposite row of bunks.
“I’m still waiting until my phone will charge some,” you said, trying to make him reconsider. You paused to yawn again, then explained, “so I can check on the rest of our staff.”
“I’ll wait with you, then,” he said.
“No,” your firm voice got him to stop unexpectedly—he was already approaching you. “You hadn’t gotten any sleep, either. And you performed a whole gig tonight. Go to sleep.”
He resumed his journey and took a seat next to you on your bunk. “I’ll wait.”
You rolled over on your back to look at him. “You literally don’t have to do that.”
“And I’ll do it anyway.”
You exhaled, far too tired to argue about this. Your eyes could barely stay open enough to make sure he really was sitting on your bunk, and you hadn’t just dreamt him—the possibility wasn’t far-fetched, after all. It’s happened before.
“You shouldn’t,” you said softly, your eyes fluttering shut.
“I’m an adult, right? You said so,” he reminded you. You were worried that your words at the wedding would come back to bite you. “So, I can stay up waiting with you if I want.”
You sighed in response, your mind refusing to think of any more arguments or questions about why he found it necessary to bother waiting with you.
Satisfied, Jungkook scooted deeper into your bunk and crossed his legs, getting more comfortable.
He did as he’d promised—waited with you until your phone charged enough to make a phone call. Then he brought you water, because you called Seokjin and couldn’t say a word, your throat too dry to speak.
And then, half an hour later, when you were already asleep and he was sure you wouldn’t remember, he pulled your duvet over your body—so you wouldn’t get cold—and pressed a soft, tentative kiss to your forehead—so he wouldn’t, either.

V.
You and Eddie stumbled into his room, where he pushed you backwards onto his messy bed where you’d both slept the night before. He crawled over you, looking down at you with the same hungry eyes he had last night at the bar- the look sent your stomach into a fit of butterflies.
“I can’t believe I let last night happen.” You groaned as Eddie placed rough kisses on your neck, his scruff that showed up overnight was tickling you.
“What, do you regret it already?” He went from hungry for you to panicked- quick.
“No, no. I don’t mean that. I can’t believe our first time together was in the bathroom of a bar.”
“I just couldn’t wait to get you home.” He resumed the attack on your neck and you tugged at his sides as he left marks on top of the ones from last night. “Knew you’d be a good girl for me.” A gasp escaped your lips, and he swallowed it with a kiss. “You like that, yeah? Being called a good girl?”
You nodded, embarrassed, “Never been called that before.”
“But you like it?” His fingers had found their way below his boxers you'd slept in last night to find your already wet cunt dripping. “That’s my good girl.” You moaned as he lazily rubbed circles into your clit, your hips moving around looking for more traction.
“Fuck, your fingers are so good.” You said with your eyes squeezed tight, and Eddie slipped two inside of you, pumping in and out at a slow and steady pace. “Faster!” A whimper evaded your lips as he kept the slow pace.
“Nu-uh, I’m taking my time with you this morning, sweetheart.” You lifted your hips up and pushed the fabric down your legs as he continued to please you and spread your legs out so he could be in a better position. “Oh, fuck.” Eddie said as he looked down, “You’re uh, you’re bleeding.” He pulled his fingers out of you to reveal red stained fingers and your face immediately flushed a matching shade of red.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry.” You carefully pushed up and were quickly pushed back down to the pillows.
“I started something, I’m gonna finish. I’m not afraid of a little blood.” He was then hovering over you, “is that alright?”
You nodded, because honestly everything felt better when you were on your period. You’d never had sex with Charlie on it, but you’d masterbated by yourself in the shower and everything was way more sensitive.
“I-If you don’t mind, but if you-”
“I got you halfway there, I can’t leave you high and dry now, can I, baby?” He thrusted his fingers in and out of you a little quicker, earning moans from you. Your hands made their way to your chest, clutching at your sensitive breasts. “Yeah, keep doing that. God, you look so pretty like this. Pull on your nipples for me.” He was biting at your earlobe next, and you were writhing underneath him at the sensations going through your body right now.
“Fuck, I’m so close, Eddie!” You squeezed and pinched at your tits, they were so sensitive and hard underneath your shirt.
“Be a good girl for me and cum, make more of a mess on my hand.” You felt your climax hit you as your hips stuttered against Eddie’s hand and he let you ride out your high, then you collapsed back onto his bed.
“I don’t even want to look. I’m so embarrassed.” You flung your arm over your eyes as your panting turned into normal breaths, and Eddie quickly left and returned back to you with clean hands.
“Nothing to be embarrassed about, sweets.” He plopped on the bed beside you and placed his hand on your soft tummy and kissed you on the head, “didn’t even get it on my sheets either.”
“Must’ve just started.” You mumbled as you sat up and spotted your purse where you kept extra feminine products just in case, and you cleaned yourself up in the bathroom and returned back to the bed where Eddie was lounging.
“Sorry, we can, uh, do something later for you-”
“I’m fine, I promise. I still have some free time before going into work today if you want to just hang out here.”
Eddie’s nightmare had woken you both up pretty early, and you didn’t feel your best from your night of drinking, so a slow morning sounded great.
“Wanna talk about the nightmare you had now that you’re calmed down?” You daringly asked, looking over at him as he shut his eyes tight.
Eddie sighed and pinched his nose, “Not really, no. But I guess I should catch you up a little better than your brother and I probably have, you deserve to know everything.”
You turned on your side and grabbed his hand and held it in yours, bringing his knuckles to your lips where you placed a gentle kiss. “You don’t have to, but I’m here to listen.”
“I don’t- I don’t really talk about it much with anyone except your brother anymore. Or Dustin sometimes if something comes up.” He sighed and opened his eyes, staring up at the ceiling. “So I’ll just start back at the beginning, you probably know most of this. After a Hellfire meeting and a basketball game one night, I had Chrissy Cunningham come over to the trailer because she said she wanted some drugs and I didn’t carry anything more than weed on me. I went into my room, came out and saw Chrissy… levitating in my living room, and watched as her bones cracked and her eyes bled out from her eye sockets. She died right in front of me. I still see it all of the time. In my dreams, a-and sometimes even just if I close my eyes for too long I get flashbacks of it. Then I just fucking ran. Your brother and everyone else found me, and I hid for a while from the town because they thought it was me. Steve and everyone caught me up on the whole Upside Down, Dungeons & Dragons creatures thing but worse because it was real bullshit that’s been happening in Hawkins so I knew I wasn’t crazy for seeing what I saw. But your brother-” Eddie let out a half laugh and a sigh, “he immediately believed me, and so did all of the kids. I couldn’t believe Steve Harrington, Mr. Cool, was involved in this shit. I followed him around and helped him fight in the Upside Down to save the town that fucking hated me. That night that Max lured Vecna in the attic was worse than I told you.” His voice got quieter, and deeper, “I died that night down there. I know I did. I saw fucking- I can’t even say what I saw down there because I don’t know wasn’t to say it out loud. I was so close to coming back up to Hawkins but at the last second I decided I had to help your brother and everyone else out- because let’s face it, if I died, who the fuck cared? I mean, Wayne would have, but think about if Steve would’ve died- you would’ve been without a brother, Dustin would’ve been crushed. He worships your brother. If anyone else would’ve died, so many people would’ve cared, you know? And I’m just Eddie, the town freak, who murdered some jocks with my devil worshiping game.”
You felt the warm tears flowing down your cheeks as Eddie spoke with brutal, heartbreaking honesty- it hurt your heart that this was how he felt about himself.
“The demobats flew after and attacked me and I knew I was sacrificing myself. Myself, Eddie “the banished”, for this whole stupid fucking town of Hawkins, where everyone hated me, and they thought I was murdering some high school kids.”
You sniffled through your tears as he continued talking.
“They tore me up. They bit me, their tails were sharp as spears, and the screeching. Fuck, I can still hear their high pitched screeches and it’s terrifying. I remember that Dustin came back for me, and then your brother must have shown up to help carry me back through the gate. I was so bloodied up and hurt they said I passed out. But I know I died. I saw these visions of my entire life- bad and good. I saw my mom, the short time she was here, and I saw my dad. I-I saw my fucking father and how he used to yell at me and hit me for all the dumb shit I did. And then I saw Wayne, who was crying by himself. A-and I saw you.” He wiped his eyes before any tears could fall and he choked out a smile, “I saw you. We were laughing in your basement, and that last summer where we actually hung out before you got too cool for me. All the time we spent at your house, in the pool, and then I saw you- I saw you all wrangled up by Vecna. He had you all… trapped, and you were screaming for help too, and I couldn’t help you because I was dead. He looked at me as he-” he took a shaky exhale, “he snapped your body into a mangled mess too, and then I regained consciousness and I was at Hopper’s cabin. I’d been out cold for days, reliving the same fucking dream over and over and over. And I still have it. And these scars hurt every time I have that dream. I wake up having a panic attack, and call Steve to talk me down.”
You were speechless as you clutched his hand tightly, a few tears escaped Eddie’s eyes as he refused to look at you. “But I haven’t told anyone that- that they still hurt sometimes. J-just you.”
“Eddie, what if it means something?”
“I don’t want it to mean something.” He spoke through gritted teeth and ripped his hand away from you, “it can’t. It’s all over now. Vecna’s gone, and he can’t hurt any of us again. El killed him, and everything is over.” He sighed and got up from the bed. You reached out and caught his hand, pulling him back to you. He didn’t fight it as his limp body collapsed into yours, and you held him as sobs wracked his whole body.
“I’m so sorry Eddie. You didn’t deserve any of that.” You couldn’t stop thinking about what he said about himself, how no one would’ve cared if he were gone. “I wish I could’ve been here for you. So you would have known that you mattered. You matter to so many people, Eddie.” You rubbed his back, soothing his cries. “Thank you.”
“For what?” He spoke into your neck.
“For sacrificing yourself for Steve, for your friends, for everyone. I’m glad you’re still here.” You pulled him from hiding into your neck, and wiped his tears.
“Yeah?”
“You’re the kindest, least scary metal head-nerd I’ve ever known.” You placed a soft kiss to his lips. You stared into his red rimmed, dark brown eyes that were wet with salty tears, “and thank you for telling me all of that. I know that was really hard.”
He just nodded and kissed you back, and stood up from the bed, grabbing his cigarettes from his bedside table. “I’ll be outside for a minute. Just-”
“I get it. It’s okay.” He waved a small wave as he made his way to his back porch to smoke, leaving you to lay back down in his bed.
Your head was spinning. Eddie was carrying the weight of all of this around daily, constantly. It hasn’t even been but maybe six months since his entire world had been flipped upside down, and he barely had time to process it all.
You knew he needed to talk to someone, a professional, but you didn’t know if anyone was allowed to know about him and everything he’d been through. Steve could be helpful, but again, you worried it might be out of pocket for you to talk to him. You got up and went back to the bathroom to splash some cool water on your face, then wandered out to the kitchen to gaze at Eddie on the back porch smoking. You could tell he was deep in thought, but he must have sensed you staring because he quickly put out his cigarette, and found you in the kitchen.
“Your parents are not too happy with you, you should probably know that.” He looked up at you through his mangled hair. “Steve gently suggested I should get you home earlier.”
“What else were you two talking about?” You asked, hoping he’d reveal something to you.
“Just needed his help calming down. He used to have nightmares too, but he seemed to have stopped having them.”
You were shocked at this, you didn’t know your brother had had the nightmares. But by how horrible Eddie described everything, you wouldn’t be shocked if everyone involved had them too.
“Have you tried anything- like, talking to anyone about it?”
He shook his head with an exhale and a quick change in his voice, “no, and it’s not something I’m up for talking about right now, okay? Let’s get you home.” He gently put his hand on your shoulder and guided you to his room. You found a pair of his sweatpants that were neatly folded in a drawer and grabbed the rest of your belongings. So much for a slow morning.
“You embarrassed us. Both of you.” You and Steve were standing shoulder to shoulder in your parents kitchen, and you felt like it was a flashback to being kids again.
“Sorry.” You reluctantly muttered out.
“I can't really punish either of you since you’re adults, but just know we’re both extremely disappointed in your behaviors and disappearing last night- it’s only been a few months since, since everything and we were supposed to be redeeming ourselves last night, and you both screwed that up for us.”
“We never stay long, mom.” Steve rolled his eyes and crossed his feet at his ankles as he leaned back against the kitchen counter. Eddie had stayed, but he was seated at the breakfast table in the kitchen, where he was sitting surprisingly quiet.
“No, but you didn’t have to act like children on stage and then sneak off to god knows where. You both reek of alcohol and bar.” Your mother flew her hands around in the air, “and where were either of you last night anyway? We waited up for a long time.”
“Robin’s.”
“Eddie’s.” You both answered at the same time.
“You start work on Monday, with me, if you want to continue living here. And Steve, you better clean your act up.” Your father spoke to both of you and you could tell it was a line he’d rehearsed with your mother beforehand. “And Eddie, we’d like to have you over for dinner.”
“I’d love nothing more.” He crossed his hands in his lap and shot your parents a huge grin- he had no idea what he was agreeing to.
“Tonight?” Your mother asked, her eyebrows raised.
“Can’t, he’s got a show.” You answered for him, trying to put it off as long as possible.
“We’re not on till 9. We’ll be here.”
“I can’t believe they’re still treating us like we’re teenagers. I mean, come on. I have to go work with dad.” You sighed as Steve was pacing in your room. “You got ants in your pants or something?”
He spoke after a few moments of silence, “I need to tell you something, but you can’t say anything to anyone. Not even Eddie, okay?” You nodded as you watched your brother run a hand through his messy hair again, and placed his other hand on his hip. “I’m worried about Eddie. Like, really worried.”
You played dumb, guessing what he was going to hopefully bring up. “why?”
“He called me this morning and he was so… he was not okay. You know, we saw some fucked up stuff just a few months ago, and we’ve all gotten some help whether it’s medication, or counseling, or something. But Eddie, he had it the worst and hasn’t tried anything to help him for more than a few days or weeks, if that, he just keeps it all together and hidden. Says he doesn’t need it, then he calls me crying in the morning because he says he sees-“ Steve stopped. “Has these horrible nightmares that feel like he’s back there again. There’s only certain people we’re allowed to talk to about this stuff, and you know him- he trusts no one. He’s afraid they’re gonna lock him up or something.”
“He told me his scars hurt him sometimes after.” You spoke before thinking.
“W-what?”
“Shit, Steve, that wasn’t my business to tell. Please don’t say anything to him.” Shit, shit, shit.
“Fuck- I, I- they told us…” Steve was pacing more, then he stopped, “Like I said, there’s a specific group of people we can go to about this, and these people aren’t the kindest. He probably just thinks it’s normal but someone needs to know- El, Dustin, Will. One of them has to know-”
“What did they tell you, Steve?”
He sighed again, “If any of us experienced any physical feelings of pain from these nightmares we needed to let them know as soon as it started. I bet this has been going on for months and he hasn’t said shit. It’s probably why he’s so angry, he’s holding all of this in- I’ve gotta tell-”
“Steve, you can’t! He’s never told anyone and he’ll get mad at me if he knows I told you.” You started panicking- you were having the same feelings about fearing Eddie’s anger as you were your ex-boyfriends.
Steve gently took you by the shoulders, “Listen, this is not something to play a waiting game with. You haven’t been around for all of this, and he was just thrown into it so I don’t think he realizes the severity of this possibly meaning something. It could be nothing, but it could be something.”
“I vote for telling Dustin.”
“Me too, and I think he can talk to El to get an idea of what this might mean. And hey, if he gets mad, you’re just trying to help him.” You’d never seen your brother this serious, so you had no other choice but to trust and take his word for it.
-
“So, Eddie, what are your plans?” Your mother asked as she flashed a fake smile at your boyfriend.
“Well, I’m running the music store in town and teaching lessons- I stay pretty booked out with those. But long term, hopefully our band will get noticed and we’ll get out of here.” Eddie chewed his dinner beside you while you picked at the food on your plate with your fork. His knee nudged you and you glanced at him with a quick smile.
“No backup plan?” She asked, setting her fork down.
“Don’t need one. If the band doesn’t get picked up, I own the record store and it’s doing great. I could expand, hire more people for more classes, and make more than enough to support myself and my family.” He confidently spoke without skipping a beat. Both you and Steve were eyeing each other across the table. Steve had told Dustin, and he was apparently trying to figure something out ASAP, but as far as you knew, Eddie had no idea.
“Own it? I didn’t know you owned it.” You were surprised this detail was left out- it was pretty major. Thoughts of how quickly things were moving between you two swelled in your mind along with everything else, but Eddie kept on talking.
“We got a pretty big uh, settlement for losing our house, and the record store was not going to be able to reopen with all the repairs needed. Hawkins doesn’t have much in that department, so I knew I had to keep it open for the sake of music in this town.”
“Well, that’s shocking. I didn’t know you owned a business.” Your dad spoke before washing down his bite of dinner with his rum and coke. “You really have made an effort in the last year, haven’t you?”
You could feel the glare your mother was giving your father at the positivity he was hinting about in the question.
“Yes, sir. Get called a devil worshipper, satanist, murderer… but gotta just push through. Wayne helped me a lot with getting everything fixed up.”
“So, you two are just, what? Best friends again, or-?” Your mom rudely interjected her question.
“It’s pretty obvious what’s going on between the two of them, mom.” Steve laughed at the comment.
“Boyfriend and girlfriend.” Eddie spoke casually as he sipped a beer through his proud smirk at your mom.
“Ah, well.” She pushed the food around on her plate, at a loss for words. “We’ll see where this goes, I guess.”
“Mom, can you try not being a bitch for once?” Every male at the table was shocked, and tried not to spit out their drink or food at your sudden outburst. “It’s not like Eddie wasn’t my best friend for over half of my life, or that I didn’t have a major crush on him the entire time, or-”
“What?” Eddie looked at you, his cheeks burning red.
“Not important right now.” You put your hand on top of his to stabilize yourself. “We already had this talk mom, I was who you wanted me to be in high school. Carry on the Harrington name, be the captain, miss popular, miss get engaged first, etc. and look at where that got me. I’m doing what I want to do now that I’m an adult and if being Eddie Munson’s girlfriend is that, then that’s what I’m going to choose to be.”
“I just don’t want you making a mistake, dear.” She pursed her lips at you, and you groaned as you stood up from the table.
“The only mistake I’ve made was thinking that you were going to maybe change.” You threw your dinner plate into the sink loudly and leaned against the counter, burying your face in your hands. You heard feet slowly walking into the kitchen, “Eddie, please just, I don’t want you in here right now.”
“It’s just me.” Steve spoke quietly. “He’s outside, said he’d wait for you so you can get to the show. And uh, he knows. Dustin already called him an hour before he got here because he said he had an idea.”
“Go tell him I’m staying here, or going to Robin’s, or fuck, anywhere else. I’m not riding with him.” You wrapped your arms tightly around yourself. “How mad is he?”
“Not at all.” Steve shrugged as he shoved his hands into his pockets.
“Bullshit. Steve, he’s going to get me in that van and he’s-”
“Hey, he’s Eddie. Not Charlie.” His hand on your shoulder made you jump as you looked at your brother’s eyes. They showed every bit of fear you felt too, you’d called him sometimes when Charlie had been upset with you so he knew that you weren’t overreacting.
“Can I ride with you?” You asked, hopeful.
“Can’t, I’m not going. I’ll walk out there with you and stand on the porch while you talk to him if that makes you feel better?”
“Yeah. That sounds alright.”
“Yeah? I’ll grab your purse for you and meet you out there.” You nodded at Steve as you walked out of the kitchen back door, wanting to avoid having to pass back through the dining room and seeing your parents.
You approached his rumbling van slowly, the hum was steady in the quiet of the dusky air. There were puffs of smoke coming from the drivers side as you walked up, and you watched the window roll down slowly.
“Hi.” Eddie smiled at you, his smile reaching his eyes.
“You- you’re not mad?”
“Mad? About what? About you telling Steve what I was too pussy to tell anyone about?”
“Yeah…” you heard the front door shut and saw Steve standing there awkwardly, your small purse in his hand and he waved with the other.
“You ready to go to the show?” He put out his cigarette and leaned his chin on the window. “Can’t be late, heard the main act is reaaaaally good. I think the lead singer is like, really hot.”
You were blushing at Eddie when he winked at you, “yeah, let me grab my purse from Steve.”
You retrieved the bag, and made your way back to Eddie’s van. He’d hopped out and had the passenger door open for you to hop in with ease.
“What do you think you’re doing wearing a skirt like that to my show, when you’re on your goddamn period, baby?” His hand rested on your bare thigh and he rubbed it up and down, feeling your smooth skin. “You’re really trying to kill me.”
You did nothing but blush and look out the window, and put your hand on top of his to stop him from inching any higher.
“Thanks for telling Steve. Really.” His voice was deep as he looked at you, at the red light, the glow reflecting on his pale face.
“I thought you were going to get mad like Charlie would have-”
“I told you to stop saying his name. I’m not him, not one bit like him.”
“I just know you can get really angry and-”
“You want to help me. I can’t get mad at you for that, that’s just silly.” A horn honked behind you, and you both jumped. “Alright, alright, I’m going.” Eddie floored it and you let out a little laugh.
You took a deep breath before speaking, “I’m sorry, I’m just not used to… this.”
“Well, get used to it. I’m not an asshole.”
And that was… it? The end of it. Huh.
Corroded Coffin went on at their planned time, and since you were alone tonight you opted for the side stage again, wanting to avoid possibly knowing anyone in the crowd, and you enjoyed the personal little sideshow Eddie gave you every time he walked your way.
“Big fan?” A guy beside you, who you did not recognize spoke up to you out of nowhere.
“Uh, Eddie-” you pointed to him, “he’s my bes- boyfriend. Just like sitting over here instead of standing amongst all of those sweaty people.”
“Oh, you two been together a long time?” Who was this guy, and where the hell did he come from? He was in some Levi’s, boots, and a band tee. It wasn’t worn like Eddie’s, it looked newer than any of his and the guy looked a bit older than both of you. You looked around his shoulder for Tripp, who just shrugged at you. What the actual fuck?
“I mean, we haven’t been a couple a long time, but we were practically best friends for our whole lives until I went to college but now I’m back. Who are you?”
“Tim, from the city. I own a record label and we heard about these guys so I came here to scout them out tonight.” You looked up at him as his gaze was set on the band. “They’re not half bad.”
“Y-yeah, they’re pretty good. Do they know you’re here?”
“Nah, we like to do this and catch them off guard. That way they can’t put on any kind of an extra show or something, but I figured with the way he’s putting on a show anytime he turns this way that you have to be someone special.”
Your heart was swelling at this for Eddie. “Oh, I get that.” You quietly enjoyed the rest of their set, Tim eventually wandered away before the guys had a chance to run off stage.
“Who was that you were talking to?” Eddie was standing between your parted legs, his lips attacking your neck, his fucks for the night were absolutely not there and you felt like he was just showing off his possessive nature.
“Tim.”
“Who the fuck is Tim?” He dipped lower, catching his guitar that was strapped around his shoulder on his back, before it had a chance to accidentally hit you.
“Record label scout.” Eddie paused as he sucked a love bite on your throat.
“What did you say?” He stood up and looked at you with wide eyes.
“Record label… scout? Said he was as sent out here to watch you guys play. He was impressed. Said he was from the city-”
“TRIPP!” Eddie yelled and ran over to the Hideout guy standing in the corner, you watched as he animatedly talked to him, running a hand through his sweaty hair and eventually handing his guitar off to a band mate. They all gathered around and were talking amongst themselves with excitement as you continued to sit on the unused speaker.
“Hey, you drink?” Tim was beside you again, with shots in his hand- multiple, you assumed that he’d grabbed them for everyone. “Bartender said tequila was the safest for everyone involved. I take it they heard I was here?” He nodded at the crowd of excited boys who’d missed his returning presence.
“Sorry, I-”
“I was gonna grab them after the show, don’t worry. C’mon, let’s go talk.” You followed him over to the band, holding your shot glass in your hand as you watched them turn to face the two of you. “Tim, from the city. I’m a label scout, I’ve heard you already know that though. We’re looking for a new band to sign on and we caught wind of Corroded Coffin, so here we are. Well, here I am.”
He passed out the shots, and you all took them in unison. He talked to the guys for a few minutes before Eddie walked over to you.
“Hey, he wants to talk about some stuff in private. I- are you okay to wait? I can tell him I’ve gotta go get you home if you’re not.”
“Nu-uh, you go. I’m fine. You go talk.” He pulled you in for a kiss, pulling your face as close to his as he possibly could, biting your lip before he pulled away.
“Thank you, baby. If any creeps come up, here’s my keys to go sit in the van.” He handed you a keychain full of keys and keychains, his shorter metal chain attached to it tonight.
You wandered over to the bar, and asked for a drink from the bartender who put it on “Eddie’s girls tab”, and you found the least sticky bar stool you could find to observe the bar dying down after the school.
It had been more than 30 minutes, more than two drinks before you realized this was going to take longer than you expected.
“Harrington? To what does Hawkins owe your presence?” You rolled your eyes at the voice, immediately recognizing it as one of Charlie’s friends.
“Fuck off, Caleb.” What was he even doing here? This was not his crowd, at all.
“Feisty. Cute. Guess dating the town freak does that to you.” You clutched your glass tightly, tempted to throw it at him, or break it at the grub you had on it.
“What are you even doing here? You wouldn’t be caught dead here.”
“Yeah well, heard you don’t want Charlie near you so he sent me to keep an eye on you.”
“I don’t need an eye on me here. I don’t need one on me at all.” Of fucking course. You finished your drink and stood up, then felt your arm get grabbed firmly.
“C’mon, lemme get you out of this shit hole.”
“Caleb, let go of me.” You pulled your arm, but his grip was too strong.
“Nah, Charlie’s waiting for you out there. You’re coming with us tonight after that shit you pulled at the benefit yesterday and made it so he couldn’t even go. You don’t really want that freak, do you?”
“Freak is such a childish word, it’s not even an insult. Let go of my fucking arm.”
“No.” He yanked you closer to him, “let’s go.”
“No!” You pulled and tugged, your arm felt like it was burning from his touch and tight grip. “I’m not fucking going anywhere with you!” You yelled, trying to get anyone’s attention. The bartender heard, and hopped over the bar to come rescue you.
“Let go of her, you dipshit, before I have to call the cops on you.”
“Just trying to get her home safely, don’t want her getting hurt by Munson-”
“You’re gonna be the one hurting if you don’t let her go.” The bartender ripped his arm away from yours and threw his arm at him. “Get the fuck outta my bar and don’t ever step your preppy ass back in here, or I will call the cops. No one wants you here.” You watched as Caleb backed away slowly.
“We’ll be watching, always watching.” He winked before he walked out.
You didn’t realize it but your whole body had started trembling, tears were streaming down your to, nausea had come from nowhere, and your ears were starting to ring. A panic attack was setting in and you needed to get out as soon as possible.
“I-I need to get to Eddie.” You held your hurting arm, “can you walk me back there?” He glanced at the bar before gently guiding you through the thinned out crowd. The door to the guys dressing room was shut, so you knocked with your shaky hand. “Eddie?”
“Just a minute, babe. We’re almost done here.” He spoke back through the door. You turned around, and the bartender had gone back to the bar, and Tripp was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly you were awfully fearful of the back door being unprotected.
Fuck it, you thought to yourself and opened the door. “I gave you the keys, what- Oh, fuck, what happened?” You entered the room and Eddie rushed to you immediately as everyone stared at you.
“I don’t wanna talk about it in front of these people, can we please go? I’m scared to go out by myself.”
“Yeah, yeah. Just- ah, fuck.”
“Hey, it’s fine. She’s more important. We got your info, we can call or meet up another time. Not gonna affect anything.” Tim held his hands up at Eddie as he smiled.
“Please.” You begged Eddie, and he nodded at you before kissing you on the forehead. He walked back to the band and said bye to them, thanking Tim and rambling off for a little too long before Tim had to shoo him away back to you.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Eddie put his arm around you, and you could smell alcohol on him. “C’mon, let’s go home.”
“Eddie, you smell like an entire bottle of liquor, you’re not driving home.”
“And what, you’re perfectly sober?” His attitude came out of nowhere.
“What the fuck? Eddie, I’m having a goddamn panic attack because one of Charlie’s friends has been here all fucking night watching me. He just tried to grab me and take me out of here while you’re back there fucking around and drinking with your friends for close to an hour.”
“What?”
“You heard me! One of Charlie’s creepy friends was here, watching me-”
Eddie pushed past you, and you watched him bust the front door of the Hideout open. “HEY!”
You ran up to the bar and tapped on it to get the bartender’s attention. “Call the cops, get Jim Hopper over here now.” He nodded, and you followed Eddie’s path out the door. He was banging on the window of Charlie’s car.
“Open the fucking window, you coward!” He was yelling through the glass. Charlie and his friends were locked in safe in his car, and they were all mocking Eddie with little devil horns and sticking their tongues out at him. “You leave my girl alone, if I see you again, I WILL be wanted for murder, you fucking psycho.”
“EDDIE!” You yelled at him to get his attention, but he didn’t listen or stop.
“Is that a threat I just heard?” Charlie yelled through the glass.
“No, it’s a fucking PROMISE!” Eddie yelled, punching the car window with all of his might. The door to Charlie’s car opened, and Eddie backed up, letting him get out.
“Eddie, I swear to god. You don’t know who you’re messing with!” You yelled at him as you cautiously approached the two guys.
“Hey, you. Damn, you look good tonight, Caleb wasn’t lying.”
“Hey, HEY! Fuck off, man.” Eddie shoved him back, and before you knew it, you were running at the two, pulling Eddie back before Charlie got a chance to take a swing at him. Instead, it landed on your shoulder. You barely winced as you faced him.
“Charlie, get the fuck out of here.”
“Mmm, baby I miss hearing my name come out of your mouth.” He took a few steps closer to you, and you were wondering where Eddie was right now to protect you, then you heard him heaving into the gravel beside Charlie’s car.
“Please don’t do this again.” You begged, “just please, please fucking go.”
“Miss that begging too.” He stepped closer and you pushed him back again, begging for your boyfriend to stop puking his brains out.
“Take one more step closer to Harrington and your ass is getting it, Charlie. Get the fuck outta here.” Hopper had finally made it, and he was stepping between you two. “Did I stutter? Go home. If I ever hear about any of you stalking Harrington, Munson, anyone again, your whole family is going to get it.” Hopper was standing over Charlie, chest to chest as much as he could. Charlie cowered back, crawled into his car, and they drove away. Eddie was still bent over, and you started crying again.
“Hey, hey. It’s okay.”
“No it’s not, I’m not even safe here. And now I can’t even get home because he’s so fucking drunk he can’t drive, and I can’t either because I’m drunk too, and I’m having another panic attack because the other one never ended and-”
“Shhh, calm down. Take a deep breath. I’m here, I’m the officer on call tonight. I can get you home and I can get my buddy to get Munson’s van home too, alright? I called for backup- he should be here soon.”
“I- I don’t wanna go with him, I wanna go home.” Eddie stood up and wiped his mouth, he seemed to have finished.
“C’mon, I thought we could go home and celebrate baby.”
“Celebrate what?” You asked him, clueless.
“We signed onto their label tonight.” Normally, you would’ve been happy for Eddie. But not tonight, not right now. Not the way he completely was ignoring the events of the night, and his lack of attempt to make you feel safe tonight.
“You go get in my car, I’ll wait with him til my buddy gets here.” Hopper motioned to his vehicle and you walked over, ignoring Eddie calling your name. The tears started falling faster the closer you got to the car, and finally you let out the sobs once you shut the door. You really didn’t want to subject Hopper to your drunk crying the entire way back to your house, so you took as many deep breaths as you could possibly try before you saw him cross in front of the car again.
“They’re taking him home and his ride along is getting his van so it’s not here all night. You alright? He hurt you?”
“Charlie got a hit in, but it’s-”
“I’m talking about Munson. Already gonna get more paperwork filed on Charlie and his crew. Eddie hurt you?” You shook your head and quieted the sobs trying to escape.
“I’ve picked up Nancy and Robin from enough parties and they were crying over boys… and girls. You can let it out, Harrington.”
“He- he didn’t hurt me.” Your shoulders shook as you sobbed, “I promise. I’m just upset about him getting so shit faced and trying to drive me home, and he wasn’t there in the bar when Caleb got his hands on me.” You didn’t know when he started driving but the moving of the car was making you feel nauseous. You weren’t going to get sick, but your stomach was turning from the anxiety of the night.
“Don’t worry about any of them after tonight, okay? And don’t let yourself be alone, especially somewhere like the Hideout. I don’t trust any of those kids, they’re all little shits.”
You nodded, your sniffing was all that could be heard over the sounds coming from Hopper’s radio scanner.
You pulled up at your house, Steve’s car was parked in the driveway by itself, meaning your parents were out, possibly at a party, or gone, but you didn’t give a shit. You were just glad to be home.
“Thanks.” You tried to open the door from the inside, but forgot that you couldn’t unlock it since it was a cop car, and Jim got out to unlock your door.
“Steve home?” You shrugged. “Can I come up to the door and talk to him, I heard about-”
“Yeah, you can come in.” You said, not wanting to hear or talk about anything else tonight.
“Hey, wasn’t expecting you.” Steve said from the couch where he was watching a movie, “or you, Hop. What’s up?” He got up from the couch, and all but chased after you after he got a glance at your running makeup from the side, “hey, what happened?”
“Nothing, I’m going to bed.” Steve put his hand on your shoulder and you pushed him back, “don’t fucking touch me, I’m going to bed!” You yelled at him, crying more as you stormed up the stairs.
“She’s gonna be fine, just let her go.” You heard Hopper tell your brother.
You reached your room and slammed the door shut, you collapsed in the bed, and you let even more cries out. The phone rang, and you groaned, picking it up and hanging it up again immediately. A few seconds later, it rang again. Maybe it was your parents.
“H-Harrington residence?”
“Baby, I’m so sorry.” Eddie slurred through the phone.
“I don’t want to talk to you tonight, leave me alone.” You hung up the phone, not giving him a chance to speak again.
Maybe coming back home was a mistake, but what other option did you have?

HOW YOU GET THE GIRL l JH86
summary: it's jack's fault you're not together anymore, but he needs you back ー even if he has to go to your apartment in pouring rain at 2 am to beg for a second chance.
pairing: jack hughes x fem!reader
author’s note: hello!! after taylor announced 1989 TV i needed to write something based on a 1989 song and i still had to write something for jacky boy, so this came to life. likes and reblogs are always welcomed. i hope you enjoy and thank you for reading!!! <3333
Tumblr media
The first time you’d seen Jack Hughes, you knew he was trouble. One look at the hockey player and you knew he was bound to break your heart. Still, you dove in head first, charmed by his enchanting blue eyes and troublesome smirk. You were aware Jack didn’t do relationships, he’d very much rather casual hookups. But then, when you appeared in his life, he couldn’t think straight, and for the first time in his life, he wanted one person and one person only.  And you were ecstatic. You would never have believed he’d give you an actual chance, let alone ask you to be his girlfriend. However, Jack didn’t know how to be in a relationship, and he let jealousy and miscommunication get in between the two of you until he couldn’t take it anymore and cut you off his life completely. Now, you were broken up, mourning what could have been of your relationship, both haunted by the what-ifs. Until he decided it was enough, he couldn’t let you be the one who got away. He couldn’t let himself ruin this. You deserved better and he wanted to be better, for you.
It was late when Jack decided he was tired of staring at his bedroom ceiling, probably too late but he didn’t care, it’s not like he was going to sleep anyway. Jack got up from his bed, making his way outside his apartment clad in only sweatpants and a devil’s hoodie, and went to his car. The drive was quiet, but his head was loud. He needs you to accept his apology. He needs you.
Jack sat in his car, looking at your apartment building for what felt like centuries. He could barely see it with the heavy rain on the outside. There are only two types of people who would get out in such bad weather: Idiots and lovesick fools. And Jack definitely was not an idiot.
“Fuck it,” he thought, getting out of the car and going into the building.
When you woke up to someone knocking on your door at two in the morning, you had imagined anything, anyone but a soaked Jack. But here he was, drenched on your doorstep. You looked at the hockey player, his piercing blue eyes so sad and lifeless staring at your sleepy ones.
“Jack?!” You say his name, with the same warmth of always still present. God, he missed your voice.
“It’s two in the fucking morning,” You scream whisper, not wanting to wake up your neighbors at this ungodly hour. “This is insanity, Jack. Are you crazy?”
“Crazy about you” He states, slyly.
For a moment, you stare at Jack, thinking if you want to slap him or kiss him, eventually just letting him inside, praying you won’t regret this.
Jack stands awkwardly, while you get him a towel and some clean clothes he left at yours and prepares a cup of warm tea. You might be furious at him right now, but that doesn’t mean you’ll let him die of hypothermia in your living room.
“What do you want here, Jack?” You asked bluntly after he’s changed and dry, tea sitting on the table in front of the both of you.
“(Y/N)” He starts, the confidence and playfulness of earlier both long gone, “I’m sorry. These were the longest six months of my life. I swear-”
“Jack, you broke my heart. You-” You take a deep breath, eyes already teary, “You left me. You stopped answering me, Jack. After everything you said, after everything we did, you cut me off. Do you understand how painful that was?” You look into his eyes, blurry vision with the tears you’re holding. “And, I-I tried so hard. Harder than you could ever imagine. I trusted you, I really did. I believed in you, Jack.” You say, face wet with tears and Jack’s heart hurts at the vision he wants to hold you and protect you from all of the pain, but it’s his fault. And he needs to make it right.
“I’m sorry. I can’t apologize enough, but if you let me, I’ll be making up for you for the rest of my life. I didn’t know what I was doing, and I hurt you and that was shitty and I’m so incredibly sorry. I don’t think I’ll regret anything as much as I regret hurting you. I never meant to ruin things, (Y/N). I never meant to ruin us. But please let me make it right. I know I broke your heart, let me put it back together.” Jack pleads, getting closer, his own eyes filled with tears, “I’ve made so many mistakes, (Y/N), so many. But you were never one of them. You were the first thing that felt right. And I know I don’t deserve it, but please, give me a second chance. Please.” He begs, holding your face between his hands, and wiping your tears away. “I want you, (Y/N).” The words escapes Jack's lips and he closed his eyes, not sure he wanted to watch your reaction to his admission. “I want to put your heart back together,” He continues, quieter. “I want us to be how we used to be. I want what we had.” He pleas, his voice stern as he continues “I'll never leave again, I promise. I want to be here for you, worse or for better, no matter what happens.”
The room went silent, the two sets of eyes staring into the other. Wordlessly, you bury your face into Jack’s chest and he feels like he can finally breathe for the first time in six months. The both of you stay there, holding each other for all the words they didn’t get to say, and all the apologies they can’t begin to put down onto words. And if heaven were a place on earth, they might stay that way, glued to one another for a lifetime. Jack kisses your forehead, pressing you harder against him, nothing else matters but the girl he has in his arms.
And that’s how it works.
That’s how Jack Hughes got the girl.

Simon’s so calm with Feral it's actually scary. Like I'm reading each little interaction and I get scared waiting for him to finally snap but HE NEVER DOES.
what if he comes home stressed from a mission, and he is just absolutely not in the mood for Feral’s gremlin-ness and he says/does something he might regret the next morning?
Hi, I glad that that tension is there and that their dynamic doesn’t get too repetitive. This probably isn’t as dramatic as your were hoping for….? But I hope you enjoy it regardless!!
Simon has been gone for a week. Not the longest by far - you didn’t even need a babysitter this time - but long enough that you’ve missed him. He gets home late, very late. You’ve been staying up waiting, excited to greet him.
When he shuffles in the door, you don’t even wait for him to set his bag down. You nearly knock him into the front door climbing up him, chattering about what you’ve been up to while he’s away, and he’s home late how could he, and there’s so many things that need doing!
He’s favoring one leg but supports your weight, gently tries to shush you while you nip and babble at him. He’s missed you, really he has. But the mission was long and frustrating, the debrief even more so, and he’s already beyond aggravated that he’s late coming home to you. It doesn’t help that you’re fussing at him for keeping you awake when he’s told you repeatedly to go to bed before 23:00.
“Enough,” he snaps finally. “Give me a minute to breathe, would you? I’m barely in the door.”
You stop, a scowl already twisting your face.
“If you’re just going to be a brat, go to bed. I’ll deal with it in the morning.”
And ooooh that is not the thing to say. You drop off him instantly, face going cold.
“Fine. Welcome home, Simon.”
And your turn and stomp away to bed. He sighs, though the regret doesn’t set in immediately. He’s still annoyed about everything and feels justified in losing his patience just a little with you, just this once.
He showers off, cools his temper, and realizes that he shouldn’t have let his annoyance slip with you. It’s not your fault that he’s tired and other people are stupid. You greeted him the way you always do; couldn’t have known what state he’s in.
He approaches your room with every intention of apologizing but hesitates when he sees the light off. Maybe you’re asleep? It is pretty late for you.
And then he hears you sniffle. Fuck.
He feels instantly like shit, like his father.
“Pretty?” He calls gently. “Still awake?”
The little mountain of blanket shifts. “Shouldn’t you be… resting or whatever?” you reply, voice thick.
“Couldn’t go to bed without saying goodnight.”
“Good night.” You’re putting on a brave voice but he can hear the tremor in it. He hesitates a moment.
“Would you be willing to come down?” he ventures.
“What for?” You huff. “Aren’t I too much right now?”
His chest hurts. “You’re never too much for me, little one. I shouldn’t have made it seem like you were. I don’t think I can sleep without you, actually. I’m not enough in my own.”
You peek out from beneath the covers, eyes puffy and red-rimmed. “Promise?”
“Yeah, love, I promise. Would you sleep with me tonight.”
You climb down and burrow against his chest, let him wipe away the last of the tears and even accepts the sharp bite he gets to his hand.
“Am I a brat?” you ask, voice small.
He chuckles and smooths a hand through your hair. “Maybe, but you’re perfect that way.”

♠️ What a day off of games with the aib males can look like. ♠️
A/N: Sorry, I've been absent for two days now, but for good reason. I wasn't feeling too well mentally and needed some time to myself because something happened that put me in quite a hole ... 🥲
Still, I've been thinking about what I could post here next, so I've prepared a few headcanons that define what I think a day off of games with the male characters might look like. 🙈
I hope that some of you are still around and will read through it. Feel free to let me know what you think about it or if you think any of them might have other interests! ✨

Characters: Aguni, Arisu, Chishiya, Karube & Niragi.
POV: gn!reader
Warnings: Not given.

It depends on what time we are in.
If the beach still exists, Aguni is often prevented from doing anything with you outside if he already occupies the number one spot.
You would have to live with the fact that you would hardly have any time just for the two of you, because someone from his troupe would always want something from him.
If he realises that this is bothering you - or he is annoyed by it himself - he will turn his boys away and say that they should leave him alone for the next 2 hours as far as possible because he has better things to do.
In general, no matter what time loop we are in, I would say that Aguni would adjust to your needs.
I have the following typical scenario in mind:
Aguni: "So there are no games waiting for us today. Any ideas what you want to do in our day off?" Y/N: "Uhm ..." Aguni: "Come on, you must have been in the mood for something." Y/N: "Yeah, but I really don't know for what I am in the mood for ..."
Nobody said it would be easy with you, but let's be honest: it's the Borderland, what excited yet relaxing things could you do here so far?
If you really don't know what you want to do, he would give some suggestions.
Aguni: "We could go to the pool." Y/N: "Too cloudy for my taste ..." Aguni: "We can do some sports together." Y/N: "Now your expectations are set far too high!" Aguni: "What about fishing?" Y/N: "Can't we just get some fresh air and go for a walk together?" Aguni: "..." Y/N: "..." Aguni: "You knew very well what you wanted to do, didn't you?" Y/N: "Without my lawyer, I won't say anything."

If you want to do something, then Arisu is definitely the right person.
The boy is always up for a lot of nonsense and fun activities.
This is probably also because he doesn't want to constantly think about the terrible circumstances that are happening here.
He has got used to life here, but living in constant fear doesn't get someone anywhere and only has a negative effect on oneself.
So, if he is being trapped in a world that could take his life sooner or later, he at least wants to live every day as if it were his last.
You will not regret spending time with him.
He comes up with the wildest ideas, starting with taking a closer look into the various broken buildings.
Of course, he would still be cautious of entering any places just like that- not that both of you suddenly find yourself in a game, because that's what you're trying to avoid today.
Y/N: "A-Are you sure we should do this, Arisu?" Arisu: "Nope, but you only live once, so let's check this building out- maybe we'll find some interesting things in here." Y/N: "Would you define 'corpses' as interesting ...?" Arisu: "Wow, you really managed to ruin my fun."
You still wouldn't be able to stop him.
Investigating the building would include lots of laughter and piggybacks when your feet get tired from all the walking over ruins and debris.
Eventually you find out that this building was a former arcade.
You can definitely pass the time well there.
Arisu: "Would you like a game of billiards?" Y/N: "I'm going to rip you off so bad, love."

Listen, this boy is a damn lazy piece of shit.
When there aren't any duties don't expect him to do something special.
He has no problem putting his feet up for a day and literally doing nothing.
Feel honored if he spends his time with you at all.
No matter where you both would be, he would find ways to just doze off and relax while you - after all - lie in his arms and enjoy his closeness.
It's nice that he can do that, but you can't.
Y/N: "We've been lying around here all day." Chishiya: "Well realised." Y/N: "I'm bored." Chishiya: "Then do something."
He would definitely be a great help to you.
Jokes on you, no, he wouldn't.
Y/N: "But I wanna do something with you today since we have enough time finally." Chishiya: "We do something, darling." Y/N: "Idiot, that's not what I meant!"
Making you pout is one of his favorite things to do.
How could he be bored if you let him get on your nerves so easily?
In contrast to you, he has something to laugh about and something to amuse himself with.
Nevertheless, he would at least agree to a compromise:
Chishiya: "How about this? We'll use the time now to laze around and in the evening we'll take a look at the neighbourhood together and see which places are damned by games this time." Y/N: "We don't take part in any games, our visas count enough days for us." Chishiya: "Who said anything about taking part in a game?" Y/N: "So, if I let you lounge around now, you will promise me to stay up late with me?"
Damn, you love the nightlife.
Chishiya: "That's a deal."
Tumblr media
K a r u b e
To me the funniest but most chaotic one.
During the day, at least.
I can well imagine that Karube and you had already planned the day ahead the evening before.
But what would life be like if everything went as planned?
The morning is pleasant. You wake up together and after a intense cuddle-round, you start your routine as usual.
Unfortunately, Karube realizes that he can't find something.
Something very important when it comes to following his routine.
Karube: "Honey, d'you know where my cigarettes are?" Y/N: "I don't know where you put them yesterday after you got ready for bed."
In the end, it all comes down to searching your whole accommodation for his cigarettes.
I mean, when you do smoke yourself, they can be important for you too ...
If not, well, then you are a very nice and good person!
Y/N: "Did you found them?" Karube: "I would have told you when that would be the case." Y/N: "Sure you didn't throw the box away because you smoked you last one yesterday evening?" Karube: "I know my pack of cigarettes inside out, there were at least three more in there."
You can guess where this is going.
You spend the whole forenoon looking for his damn cigarettes.
You turn the whole accommodation upside down.
Both of you look under every stone.
In every room.
Two times- minimum.
Y/N: "Karube, fave it, you don't have any- ... Darling ...? Karube: "What is it?" Y/N: "What's that in your pants pocket ... at the back of your butt?" Karube: "Uh-... Oh!"
Now he remebers ...
Karube: "You found them! That's right, I put them straight in my jeans yesterday so I couldn't forge- hey!" Y/N: "Yeah, I threw your boxer shorts at you!"
Tumblr media

Oh, my dearest reader-chan, please stay close to him no matter where he goes.
When he has nothing to do, he will go through the city streets looking for people to annoy.
He would look for trouble and find it- even if there's no reason for trouble, he'll just make it happen himself and find his reasons.
I don't know how, but at least you managed to stop him from taking his gun.
That's something you should be very proud of.
However, that doesn't stop him from doing anything and we know that.
So please. Stay. With. Him. Thank you!
In any case, you walk around the area together and check it out a little.
You'll talk about pretty trivial things every now and then, but that's still more pleasant than just talking to each other all the time.
When you meet someone, Niragi is ready to provoke them directly for no reason.
Thank god you had a firm hold on his hand or his arm so you could quickly drag him in another direction to avoid the innocent people.
Y/N: "Oh, look!"
Yes, you also like to pretend to see something that you would find interesting.
… In partially empty shop windows.
Niragi: "What the fuck should I look for?" Y/N: "See the rocks there?" Niragi: "You kidding me, right?"
The nice thing is that he would still look to something you tell him to look at.
There could actually be something interesting there.
Well, most of the times at least.
It's nearly impossible but who know?
Y/N: "OH, SEE WHAT I HAVE FOUND TH-" Niragi: "What is it this time? Another boring and ugly stone you think it's fascinating?" Y/N: "No ..." Niragi: "Oh, what is it this time then?" Y/N: "The tree there."
He will touch his nose and look at you angrily- but not without laughing afterwards at your amiable stupidity.
Damn, he loves you so much for what you are, he can't even be bothered.

Boys Be Brave [EP.4] // Translation notes
Not so many this time so let me know if you're curious about anything else, I'll point out what I thought was interesting^^
Tumblr media
"If you like someone, you start to feel ashamed/embarrassed. I'd rather die than to show him how embarrassing I am."
This interestingly ties to my previous post! Where I mentioned that Balgeum said the same word in another phrase: "Don't follow me around like a clueless fool. It's fucking embarrassing".
He didn't use any other specific words so I noted how vague it was, and I wonder if he was trying to tell Inho he was shameful for clinging to him but that's actually a word he found to describe his own feelings towards Inho. It doesn't matter whether Balgeum spends his entire life in poverty, debts and hustling as he said he's used to it, but he's ashamed of being with someone, even loving someone while he's so pitiful in his own eyes. A hole in his sock, family in financial ruins, he just doesn't dare to see a carefree happiness for himself, and he punishes and curses himself out for even having hope.
What is also interesting – I'm not sure whether other character names really have meanings or wordplays, but 밝음 means "brightness". Which also feel like a bit of a cruel joke to be named like that and live such tiring and grey life.
Tumblr media
I was so confused with the subs here. I can guess what they tried to go for, but Kiseob literally says '아쉬었어', "I feel a bit bad about yesterday =)" It's a word that can be translated to "It's such a shame that... (something happened)", "It's too bad that... (I didn't achieve something)", like you can say it when you tried to buy a ticket but they were all sold out instantly. Or you missed some opportunity and regret it now.
We know Kiseob was talking about something else (I think he wanted to say it's too bad that he and Jinwoo couldn't enjoy making out for longer or something) but it's no wonder Jinwoo got so offended by this, because he thought Kiseob meant he regretted that he even kissed Jinwoo yesterday because the kiss was too bad. Does this sentence even make sense?xD
And that's why he started riling himself up and freaking out that it was all because of his kissing skills.
Tumblr media
That's Kiseob's confusion right there after seeing that Jinwoo fled the scene after his comment. He didn't actually call himself a pervert of anything but he wondered what was wrong with his words, were they too much for Jinwoo to run away. I do believe he meant that it was too bad that nothing much happened after that kiss yesterday instead xD
So he apologized via message that it might've been too much and he will be careful from now on. Jinwoo, of course, read that completely differently again. And then Jinwoo angrily tells him not to be so arrogant after just that first kiss (he's not good but he'll be with practice, and Kiseob should not be the judge!). Meanwhile (I think) Kiseob is confused and focuses on the word 'the first kiss', so to him, that might sound like a promise of more to come, therefore he just sends 'okay'? But he also says they didn't really get to talk about their kiss later. I might be confused with the last msg too x)
Miscommunication, BL's beloved.
Tumblr media
(if you're curious about the heart and emoji message, it was from the last time, Kiseob sent "I want to give you something as a last gift... can you come out?". And idk why, the message before that says 'Refridgerator', probably also something from 1-2 episodes xD)
Tumblr media
"Who are you to evaluate me?" The boy really thinks Kiseob is the alpha expert on love, daring and romance, and he misjudges him himself huh xD
Tumblr media
"By the way, you become weak-hearted if someone is hurt". My interpretation of this line – Kiseob talks about how Jinwoo cares about him and his wound anyway, despite all his defenses and rejections. Jinwoo, of course, denies and says it's because Kiseob will be a nuisance when he' gets's hurt.
Tumblr media
Just a little nuance – Kiseob asks Jinwoo about everything, he doesn't say it in a mocking factual way at all. "Your schedule is disrupted because you like me, right? And you did that (kissed me) yesterday because you like me, right? Why do you like me?"
He is constantly asking because he doesn't know the difference. He is trying to understand himself through Jinwoo's feelings, so he asks. Asks why people like, how do they like, how does that feeling manifest in real life – because he doesn't know anything, even if he likes Jinwoo, he doesn't know why, he doesn't really realize it himself. He doesn't know why he kissed. He dated but he never experienced the feeling of love. He can't give Jinwoo any honest answers yet. Well, he's honest that he's not sure about anything, but it's not the answer planning-and-unambiguous Jinwoo wants to hear.
Tumblr media
Can I just step out of BL show for a lil bit and say that I really liked them?! I think they were adorable together. Too bad polar opposites attracts and Jinwoo needs Kiseob and not the certain copy of himself (who also isn't the prim and perfect as she shows herself).
Anyway! There is one point in Jinwoo's perfect-ideal-type checklist which says 'To have J in the name like in 'JIN-woo''. 진 (jin) can also come from 'truth' so he invented that symbolic connection/condition for a partner. Which is also why Kiseob in the previous episode wanted to change his name to the one that includes J as well, but he choose the name 'Jongji' which had a ridiculous meaning of 'stop'. Again, technically correct but absolutely far from what Jinwoo actually wanted.
Tumblr media
Isn't it interesting that, even though he went on a day with his Ideal Type, Jinwoo still enjoyed not the library date or the meaningful messages, but the game arcade time? The one that's supposed to be meaningless and not productive and with the purpose of just having fun? And he kept being distracted by the illusions/thoughts of Kiseob?:D Yeeeah... Maybe your perfect type checklist needs some revisions, Jinwoo.
Tumblr media
About the side couple – I was right! They will go to three dates because Balgeum gave in. He even will sacrifice his never-ending-worktime for that. Hehe. He also says 'I have to become rich' with determination which in my mind, connecting to his 'I'd rather die than look so embarrassing to Inho' means that he now has a new goal. To... I guess, work even HARDER to be able to have a chance dating Inho. Will they even work out right now? No one knows, but it's obvious they both are willing to give it a second chance.
Tumblr media
And the last bit – it's pretty obvious, but Hyejin actually shouts 'You fucking bastard!!!', which is so hilarious.

Sans doesn’t want to push you awake or anything so he just collapses on top of you.
Luckily he’s pretty light so him crashing down onto you doesn’t wake you up
If Papyrus doesn’t catch either of you two, then you’d both probably sleep until the next day
When you do wake up (likely to the sound of Papyrus’s lecturing) you accidentally shove Sans off of you
He goes crashing to the floor. The perfect wake up call for such a lazybones! (At least that’s Papyrus’s opinion)
Papyrus:
Like Sans, Papyrus walks in to you already passed out on the couch
He gives you the deepest, most withering look he can manage and exhales the most disappointed sigh he can give
You are spared the wrath of Papyrus’s lecture, for now! He is much too busy finishing up this year’s paper work!
(He can also see how tired you are so he leaves you be)
At least until it’s 8pm and your still knocked out, then he shakes you awake
Though he doesn’t lecture you
He really shouldn’t encourage such lazybones behaviour! But he also noticed how tired you were lately
He can make one exception, just this once though!
Blue (us sans):
Blue was too busy cooking in the kitchen to notice your long nap
When he goes out to get you ready for dinner he notices you
Weren’t you napping like 4 hours ago?! Blue gasps, have you turned into Stretch?! Has his brother’s bad habits finally rubbed off on his favourite human?!
He has a moment of silence for you before he tugs you out from the couch and plops you down on the dining room chair
Can’t sleep if you’re too busy eating
Blue also tries to feed you some sweet desserts! Then you’ll have more energy!
Then you can hang out more!
Stretch (us paps):
You’re so tired when you get home that you fall asleep on Stretch. Just collapse on him like as he lays on the couch watching the latest nabstation show
Stretch wraps his arms around you and follows you right into sweet, sweet unconsciousness
He wakes up briefly just to chase Blue off from bothering either of you
Then he carries you up to his room. There, now you can sleep fully uninterrupted for however long you want
He regrets doing that when you both wake up at 3 in the morning and have all the energy in the world
(You accidentally wake up Blue and now you’re both stuck listening to his lecturing. Send help!)

”Friends?”
Tumblr media
warnings: slight angst!
Info: you’ve had feelings for the mist hashira Muichiro for a couple of months now. The two of you have become inseparable. You get sent on another mission without him. What would go wrong?
————————————————————————
You’ve been Muichiro’s Tsuguko for a few weeks now. You’ve noticed your crush on him has blossomed into something more since you noticed how differently he treats you from the others. It was a very hot and humid day and you were getting more tired than usual. Muichiro noticed this and was becoming very worried.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Muichiro asked.
“Of course I am Master Tokito.” You replied to make him feel a little better. But he knew something was wrong from your breathing and the rate at which your heart was beating.
Muichiro decided to brush it off and for the first time, strike at you. As he ran towards you, you barely processed what was going on and barely avoided him. You were so tired right now, the sun was beating directly on you but, you decided to just keep going. Muichiro turned and started to come at you again, this time however, you couldn’t react in time and he struck you in the stomach. You fell back out of breath.
“Y/N! Are you okay?!” He exclaimed while rushing to you.
You didn’t process what he said, the heat and the blow to your stomach made you black out.
————————————————————————
You opened your eyes and saw the ceiling of the mist hashiras estate.
“Oh crap..” you groaned. You can’t believe you blacked out during training. What would Master Tokito think of you now?
“Oh you’re awake.” You heard the familiar voice.
Tears started to form in your eyes. “Master Tokito, I’m so sorry, you probably think I’m weak now and regret having me as your Tsuguko!” You exclaimed. “I never said any of that. In fact I think you’re very strong and I’m proud to have you as my Tsuguko.”
“R-Really?” You said sniffing.
“Yes.” Muichiro said while patting your head. You couldn’t believe it. Other than carrying you to the estate and caring for you, this was the first time Muichiro ever shown any kind of affection with you.
————————————————————————
Ever since that day, you and Muichiro were inseparable. You guys were always with each other and everyone knew that. The only times when you guys weren’t was when one of you two got sent on a mission without the other.
You got sent on a mission 2 weeks ago and you’re just now making it back to the mist estate. You were so excited to see Muichiro you could feel your heart racing.
Once you arrived, you saw Muichiro sitting on the porch drinking tea. Once he saw you, his whole face lit up. He met you at the stairs of the porch.
“I missed you Y/N.” He said.
“I’ve missed you too Master Tokito!” You said.
You both went inside and made lunch. You were pretty hungry from your journey back. You told him everything about your mission, and he listened.
It was the next day and training was started back up. You and Muichiro were sparring and all of a sudden you lost your footing and collapsed into him. Both of you landed on the ground, but when you collapsed into him your lips accidentally made contact. You didn’t realize till when you went to ask Muichiro if he was okay.
“Master Tokito! Your face is flushed, are you okay?!” You asked him worried.
“Y-yes I’m fine..you just brushed your lips with mine..” He said.
“WHAAAAAA?!!” You screamed, you were so embarrassed. You jumped off of him and sat on the ground covering your face with your hands.
“You know Y/N, it’s okay.” He said smiling at you.
You couldn’t say a word, so he grabbed your hands with his and pulled you back in for a proper kiss.
You couldn’t believe it. You were kissing the mist hashira! This can’t be real life, you thought to yourself.
As he pulled away you could only think of one thing.
“Master Tokito, does this mean we are..together?” You asked sheepishly.
“I would love to be Y/N, but we both risk our lives everyday to fight demons, and it’s best for us both if we don’t date.” He replied.
You felt like your heart dropped. He kissed you only to say it’s best if you two don’t date. Sure he has a good point, but he didn’t have to play with your feeling like that. But, you respected his decision.
“Yeah, you have a good point…” You said.
————————————————————————
Ever since that day muichiro has kissed you at least once a day. You’re so confused at this point. You can’t tell if he’s playing with your feelings or if he actually feels the same way.
It’s been a couple of days that he’s been doing this. You’re sitting in your room and all of a sudden your crow flies in telling you you’re being sent on a mission. You get your stuff ready and go tell Muichiro.
“Master Tokito, I’m being sent to another mission.” You say.
“Okay Y/N. Be safe.” He says.
Before you walk out of the door he pulls you back and kisses you again. He pulls away and smiles at you. You smiled back and turned around and left.
————————————————————————
It’s been around a month since you left, you’re finally on your way back, your mission took far too long.
Once you reach the mist estate, you feel as though something is different. Muichiro doesn’t appear to be here. Oh well you thought, and walked inside.
Once you walk in, you’re frozen in shock. Right in front of you is Muichiro and some girl kissing and touching each other in the living room.
You drop everything. Tears forming in your eyes. Muichiro sees you and yells for you, but you can’t hear anything, you run out of the estate with tears running down your face.
You don’t know how far you’ve ran or where you necessarily are, but you’re far from him and you know that. You sit in silence with a few sniffles and gasps here and there, but all a sudden you feel a hand on your shoulder. You turn around and it’s him.
“What are YOU doing here..?” You say through your teeth.
“Y/N, you never let me explain.” He said.
“Explain WHAT Muichiro..?” You said looking away from him. He looks at you shocked, you’ve never called him that before.
“Y/N..she’s my new girlfriend…” He said.
“Muichiro, what the hell were we? Tell me we weren’t just ‘friends’.” You spat out.
“I’m sorry Y/N.” He says.
You stand up, you can’t even look at him anymore. “I’m done with this.” You ran off again before he could speak.
————————————————————————
You decided you didn’t want to be a slayer anymore. There was no way you could do it now. You now stay with some family friends far from Muichiro and everyone else. But, before you left you sent him a letter.
Muichiro was too scared to open your letter once he received it. You hadn’t shown up for training and he just brushed it off as you were just mad at him. Muichiro and his girlfriend broke up a couple days after he last talked to you, he couldn’t bear to look at her anymore. Finally though, he opened the letter.
Dear Muichiro
I am resigning as your Tsuguko. I no longer feel the need to be a slayer since I’m not with you anymore. I hope you’re happy now though. I’ve always been in love with you and thought you felt the same, but I guess not. I wish you the best. Love, Y/N.
Muichiro couldn’t stop crying. He missed you so much, he wanted you to know he felt the same, but he’s too late.

You have a new message, would you accept it?
How to choose? Take a deep breath, close your eyes, think about that/those person/people you have something inconclusive with (if you can't think about anyone it's ok, dw) then choose the image that calls to you better
Tumblr media
1 2 3
Before to start, sorry for any mistakes or grammar error. English is not my first language
Remember tarot is not set on stone and you can change your path whenever you want. This is for entertainment purposes
This reading is general so if it doesn't resonate with you just let it go
Option 1
I know you're still upset about the way all of this happened. I know you don't understand why I had to go away. You think I let you alone and I didn't really care about it. I know you think I was selfish all I did was look out for my own good. I know you keep blaming me for the things I did to our family. I know that, even if I say to you my reasons they are still just excuses to your ears. I needed to walk away, I was tired. It was the best, it was fair. I had to understand who am I, I had to mature but it doesn't matter anymore, does it?
I'll be back, any moment. I know that hearing that scars you a lot, I know it bothers you "go back?" "For what?" "To destroy all the the life I built in your absence?" Yeah, I break your heart, I was the person you trusted the most , I broke our little world, I broke us, and you are still afraid of trusting in me again, but could you give me another chance? Take your time to respond my petition. I promise I'll understand if you don't want to see me again, but I'm serious about that I want to make things work for us this time.
For some of you, this could be a male figure in your family.
Two more messages for you.
Take a rest, honey. You don't have to be the one who is always fixing everything. The solution for the pain you're feeling right now is not overexerting yourself. Don't worry, things gonna be ok.
This could be from someone who passed away.
The last message could be an ex lover
Something that ended because of people talking in your back, hidden secrets that came to light. Tbh, I feel that this person don't have any interest in fix anything. Maybe they are happy that all of that happened and the way it all ended.
Additional information.
I feel like in this pile there's a lot of young energy. Maybe that person was too young or the separation occurred when both of you where young or you were young when all of this happened.
I feel that for some of you the root of all your failed relationships is because of the message of the first person
Maybe you've been suffering from sore throat or neck pain and I feel that it could be because you don't know have to express your emotions. It's ok to cry and scream, if you feel like crying, just do it, everything will be alright, ok?
Option 2
I feel like this person is upset or mad. Probably the relationship ended because of an argument. One of you was not in their best moment (maybe one of you passed or is passing through depression or anxiety)
I had to go, it was for the better. This, the thing we had it had neither head nor foot. I do accept we had a lot of good memories, you were my sun, but it doesn't mean we were meant to be. Do you know what? Sometimes, when I think about us, the first memories that came to my mind are those where I felt tied to you. We were going to nowhere. We had different paths, different dreams, different goals. I actually think we share the blame in this one, and, I still blame you for the kind of love you gave to me. It was too suffocating. It was like when you water a flower, you know what I mean? You were drowning me. I needed to make a decision, the better for me, and I don't regret doing it
This could be a past friendship
This is another message it could be from a female figure.
Don't be silly. You need to be less immature and spoiled. Will you realize at some point that you are being your own worst enemy? I know you're thinking about me like a killjoy or like i'm bitter, but my only wish is for you to open your eyes and put your feet on the ground. Do you remember when you were happy only with what you had? Do you remember when you played with all your friends and relatives? Do you remember all the scenarios you imagined and all of those were easy to resolve just with laughs and superpowers? I want you to be that little kid again. I want to hear your laugh until your belly hurts. I want you to be more kind with yourself and with the others. I want you to let go whatever its making you feel bad. I want you to start dancing by your own, my love.
Some of you have a nickname inspired on nature "sun" "bunny" "peach" "twinkle" or you have a name related to flowers or stars.
I feel like some of you either are emotionally unstable or feel a little too much.
Maybe you are fan of Taylor Swift and like the rain
Option 3
I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for being the villain of your story. I feel so sorry for stealing your confidence. I'm so sorry because I know I'm the reason of your nightmares/insomnia. I'm sorry you don't feel good enough and all of that is my fault. It's horrible to be the person who hurt the one who most loved me. You were my wish came true. You were the madness I needed to keep me sane, it doesn't make sense, does it? I could have done better, I know. I'd have done better to give you all the things you deserve. I guess it's too late to own up to my mistakes. Now I've lost you
I don't want you to forgive me (maybe I do want to) I want to tell you that I love the person you are now. All of that is because of YOU. I just destroyed you. You had to pass through a lot. Sometimes I wish I could talk to you. Would you give me an opportunity? All the fights, all the arguments, all the screaming and crying. I'm so sorry, I'm really really sorry. I know I took you away from me. If it's worth it, I also wake up at night thinking I could have done better
I love you, I always have
I don't want to wreck your plans. I don't want to turn your world upside down. Am I being greedy for saying that I miss you? I know I'm the king of victimized myself, I'm aware of that. I'll try to change for better, even if it doesn't matter anymore. I have what I deserve and I hope you get what you deserve for loving someone who didn't know how to love you in return
This could be an ex lover but it could be a person who took "care" of you when you were a child too
Let your inner child to heal. Play with them, enjoy and do the things you want to do but you don't do for fear of being judged
I have a plan for you! What if you choose some animated movies, cartoons you liked when you were a child and enjoy your evening watching them?
You're so brave and strong, I admire you, keep going
I feel like you have a good taste on music
This is my first reading, hope you all like it
