I've binged all of rottmnt in 2 days AGAIN. It's 2 am and i just started the movie and I'm crying already

so i haven't really felt The Urge™ to write fanfiction for Hazbin Hotel, and i've been chewing the why over for a while, not quite sure how to word it exactly, but i have figured it out- season 1 feels like an introduction

season 1 is not bad, to be clear. i like it a whole lot, and i had a great time with it. but thinking back, everything we got- even Adam's whole 'arc'- works primarily as an introduction to the larger, yet to come, problems (Adam's being an introduction to the Heaven conflict, set up for Lilith AND Lute, and not like. a lot of room for him, even if they did their best)

like Angel Dust's episode is an introduction to the eventual Valentino problem. the Overlord meeting is an introduction to the other Overlords, and their eventual dynamic. even Pentious' whole arc kind of works more as an introduction to the salvation mechanics, than an actual arc on its own. and the reason why it works more like that, than a proper character arc, is that season 1 is so fucking short

season 1 feels mostly like set up, and so i've personally hit this point where, sure, i kind of want to write fic. but also it feels like i have to wait for season 2, to actually get something to work with. and to be clear, this isn't like, a huge criticism or anything. it's just something i've been thinking about, and wanted to put to words

i kind of just. really hope season 2 either gets more episodes, or focuses itself down a little, because i feel like it's going to cause some kind of problems if we keep such a rushed pace

Hope I’m not alone on this, but I think out of all the characters particularly in TGAMM season 2, Andrea is the best. That’s not to say she’s my favorite character (Molly and Scratch are forever #1), but out of all the characters, she’s gotten some of the best moments this season. Jules Medcraft does such a phenomenal job voicing her and she’s gone from potentially one of the characters I could have hated the most to one of the characters whom has surprised me the most like a lot of similar characters from DTVA the past decade like Pacifica, Sasha, and Amity. Point is, she’s just so neat and cute and funny and I’m happy she’s stuck around for

I have a love-hate relationship with TMNT 2012. On one hand, it's by far my favorite iteration (with 2003 right behind) and it was my introduction to not only the series, but also made me fell in love with it and action-orientated shows. I owe a lot to the show, since it practically shaped my childhood and a good chunk of who I am.

On the other hand, boy howdy does it have some major flaws and I wish they treated Mikey better-

I lean towards Eternal's suit, but tbh it's pretty close between Eternal's and 2016's. The 2016 suit is cleaner, meaning more simple to draw, and despite how I always think his arms and hands look small, it's more realistically proportioned. I also like 2016's shade of green better, too Meanwhile, Eternal's suit is sO COMPLICATED and his arms and hands are inhumanly big, but they're also more proportioned to my art style anyway lol. Eternal's suit is also the 'current' one, so it usually ends up being the one I draw more.

If you're talking about cosmetics, not the canon suits, though, some of my favorites are

Yesterday I got a acrylic stand of artwork of the “what am I fighting for” scene-which for the record; I think that scene has been very much beaten into the ground as a meme, but I couldn’t pass off getting it bc it be funny to have and someone would easily recognize it’s mega man x if they came to my house lol-and my friend who I was out with who has seen the scene before despite knowing most mega man stuff from me thought it was from an anime adaptation of MMX but I laugh and go “oh no that was in the actual game, it was a animated cutscene”

And then I cry inside knowing we never got a proper anime for any of the platformer games despite the fact MMX felt like it desperately needed one- oh and classic and zx were SUPPOSED to get animes but shit fucking happened that cause them to be scrapped.

Okay, this post has a lot of misconceptions in it. There aren't as many differences between crocodiles and alligators than you think. It's really harmful to think that we have nothing in common with each other. So what if they're carnivores and we're closer to omnivores, or their snouts are more U shaped while ours are V shaped.
