How about everyone from Welcome Home has a sleepover with the human Reader who just arrived in the neighborhood! What would happen if, while the reader is sleeping, he starts crying or says something like this in his sleep: "Please stop this hurting me" (poor reader is having a nightmare). Of course, his puppet friends are going to wake the reader up, but when the reader wakes up he says "no, look over there in the corner there's a monster and he's going to devour me" and after that the reader faints and goes back to sleep..

How would the puppets react? What would happen?

(( Sorry if it's confusing, it's just that I have Sleep Paralysis sometimes when I'm woken up by having a nightmare I see this scary entity that terrified me in my sleep next to me in bed, it's so scary because it seems so real, sometimes I I simply go back to sleep as if nothing happened and I don't remember that accident. ))

His eyes would go wide and he’d freeze instantly.

This guy may be a jokester, but he’s not much of a fan of horror

Watching him would be like watching those online gamers play horror games, honestly

He’d slowly turn around and either jump anyway, or he’d walk the other direction repeatedly saying “nope nope nope nope” the entire time

Wally would have to comfort the poor doggo

Sally:

She’d freeze up for a moment and just stare at you as you fell back asleep

The entire time she would just heavily debate on whether or not to look

“D-don’t worry, Y/N, I’ll be your knight in shining armor!”

She’d attempt to go into an acting bit to convince herself to be brave for you

You could hear her sigh of relief outside of the building when she didn’t see anything

Would no doubt refuse to sleep without you or anyone else in the room, though

Julie:

Girly would go wide-eyed and dart around to look, ready to beat the shit out of whatever you saw

Don’t underestimate her, because of her games with random and possibly made up on the spot rules, she’s a lot stronger than she looks and she knows it

She’s more of a fight person than flight, fawn, or freeze

Upon seeing nothing there, she would turn back around and pat you on the head with a smile on her face

“Oh, Y/N, you silly billy! Your eyes must have been playing tricks on you.”

Once she was sure you weren’t having anymore nightmares, she’d skip off to do what she was doing before

Poppy:

Instant panic

This bird is a scaredy bird

She would instantly curl up under the blanket with you and do her best not to look in the corner

She’s shaking so hard, it’s a wonder you didn’t wake up

If she got brave enough, she would rush over to the phone and call somebody over (most likely Howdy) to check the corner for her

Howdy:

No fear

He wouldn’t walk over, but he would definitely look in the corner to make sure there’s nothing there

He’d chuckle when there really wasn’t anything there and then tuck you back in

Like Wally, he’s had experience checking for scary monsters in the house for Poppy and Sally (Sally rarely ever called him to check on something, but he’s had to in the past)

Additionally, he runs a bodega store. There must of been times that were scary as shit

I mean, think about it! He’s most probably heard some things outside or seen things in his store while closing up or during the night when he’s supposed to be sleeping plenty of times!

He’s got to be brave, at least for investigating

Maybe not as much for confrontation, but I can imagine he may know how to stand his ground (albeit a bit shakily)

Frank:

Like most of the others, he would freeze up a bit

Only for a single moment, though

Then he would turn around

When he saw nothing, he breathed a sigh of relief

Depending on how close the two of you are, he’d either lightly glare at you (I doubt it from thinking he’s a huge softy, just a bit grumpy and intellectual), or “smile” at you

“Smile” as in his eyes would scrunch up the tiniest bit in that special way a person smiles at another and raise his eyebrows a bit

Due to his permanent frown, he can’t really smile at you, but he tries on occasion!

For the rest of the night, though, he’d be a small bit on edge

Eddie:

Poor guy would instantly run and call for Frank

If Frank can’t come, he’d attempt to wake you either to assure him there’s nothing there or to run to another room to sleep for the rest of the night

He’s definitely a flight guy, but that doesn’t mean he won’t still try to protect others!

He’d do anything to keep his friends/significant others safe!

Even if it means facing his worst, scariest fears!

Home:

Yes, I’m putting Home in here since they technically count as a character of Welcome Home

That, and Home needs some love, too!

Home would instantly be able to know there’s nothing there

But don’t be fooled! If they were able to breathe like a human, their breathing would have stopped for a moment

Home would tuck you back in with something they can control

If they can’t tuck you back in, they’d squeak out a loving “goodnight.”

WarioWare Fan Ask Game!

4. Do you have any personal headcanons or interpretations of the characters? (In relation to design, hobbies, connections to other characters, etc)

Tagging @freakattack since they asked about this too. But I will squeeze in more headcanons in that post >:3 (please do not worry I will indulge in stuff here too)

I've been obsessed with this series since 2018, so I have like, about 6 years of headcanons. This does not include me goofing off with the Thangs in my youth, though I love them dearly. ...it's just that this love is overshadowed by ninjas.

Here's a chunk of headcanons:

Orbulon is squishy and very capable of transformation. I'm stealing the idea from @the-ren-amamiya that he cannot change his eyes when transforming into other beings so he still just wears his shades. He fluctuates between both lanky and chubby depending on his mood, but I like thinking of a middle ground between the two...like give him his boots back, please...

Him, Red, and Ana have gotten into transformation antics because we cannot forget that Red is both Ashley's wand and broom. It is very hard to beat those three when they are hiders in hide and seek. I like @scarlett-v-the-fox's idea that Red's transformations must contain the color red somewhere on him. So between that and Orbulon's eyes, only Ana can do a perfect 1 to 1 transformation when she feels like it.

In speaking of Ana, she's a bit like Ash's Pikachu because she likes contorting herself to partially resemble others to emphasize who's she's (or Kat are) talking about. That or she has a non verbal episode...she has quite a few moments where she doesn't want to talk, or simply can't. Yes I am a bit of a believer she has some neurodivergence, because I am in that boat of being neurodivergent and she has the vibes™.

Shadow was specifically bred to be a dog that's an expert in ninjutsu. Most doggos can't quite just turn into a sword. So in a sense, he's an inheritance from the ninja parents...or clan. Honestly I should pull up my notes on how...distant the parents are...if I can find them.

If you know me, you know I am very fixated on the idea that Ana and Lulu end up as besties. Ana still loves Kat. It's just that on the few occasions where Kat isn't around, there was a time Ana latched onto Lulu 'cause next best thing...that and they both love wearing dresses and eating. Ana cannot talk Kat into the whole frilly dress up time. It may not make full sense in most's lores and maybe even canon, but the one I developed with a close friend has those two also be supportive of one another in developing a sense of self. ...I really need to finish that fic where as (pre?) teens where pageant violence happens. ...It's not exactly as exciting as it sounds, but let's just say Ana defended Lulu who was being harassed by others for not being conventionally pretty.

I used to believe that the Thangs literally lived in Club Sugar. It's a tall building, and I tried to recreate that in the Sims 4. That isn't true anymore but Mr. Sugar still has to deal with the Thangs on a 20/7 basis. Also Mr. Sugar has a instagram for his kitty Bochi.

Miyakiyo has a YouTube Channel featuring her dog Jack, the doggo in the "Shake!" microgame from the first game. It's very much like like Maya the Polar Bear, and it's quite popular. She took advantage of the fact that WarioWare featured Jack in a microgame, especially because Wario ain't paying the royalties to feature that doggo. Of course, the twins are still good friends with Miyakiyo and Jack. I just haven't quite decided Miyakiyo's age.

Bridget and Sal Out are rivals...but are much friendlier to each other compared to how Vanessa treats them and Mona.

The doctor from "Listen to the Doctor" has 2 offices, with the one at Caresaway Isle as his vacation workplace. The nurse he works with tends to the one in Diamond City when he's away to that island. Yes he is absolutely the primary care doctor to all of the WarioWare cast.

I have a lot but I'll share more in other posts. Again, got 6 years of being fixated on this series. Feel free to ask for any specifics and what not!

Ahhh welcome back! Glad you guys ressurected~

May I ask for a match up? I'm 5'1, she/they, avid gamer and is coming back to taekwondo in hopes of being more active in tournaments! I'm the eldest sister of three; I'm the cool, weird, and funny sister that they look up to ;o; On the outside on I'm a friendly and bubbly person, but I'm actually an introvert that needs time to myself to recharge. In a romantic capacity I'm a chronic overthinker (never been in a relationship) and have trouble with self-esteem, thinking that no one could like me like that (working on it though!). I'm a hard worker, sometimes too hardworking (historically I was a part of a lot of clubs; anime, student council, cheerleading), so I'm often napping when I can. And I love my doggos (I got 3); free dog therapy!

As for your match, I have to go with Chotaro!

Confessing would be lots of blushing and stuttering, but it would be absolutely adorable. He would take you to a picnic in the park and that's where he'd finally say he likes you, asking for you to be his partner. Instead of a whole bouquet, you'd get a smaller potted plant because he'd want for you to have a constant reminder of him rather than flowers that die eventually.

He'd love your bubbly side and I can see him coming out of his shell with you. But, he would give you all the space you need to recuperate. He would love if you spend time with him in the same room, each doing something on your own while still being together. Simply sharing time and space would be enough for him and he'd know once you want cuddles, you'd come over and demand them.

Regarding your insecurities and overthinking, he'd be really good at reassuring and supporting you. He'd spoil you with compliments and kisses. He's the type to answer 'Would you still like me if I was a worm?' with 'Of course, I'd make sure you have plenty of dirt to eat.' No question or insecurity of yours would be silly for him and he'd make sure you feel loved and cherished.

He wouldn't like you overexerting yourself and would make sure to take care of you on the days you have a lot of commitments. Any time you'd nap, he'd stroke your hair and whisper sweet nothings to you. And he'd be there to support you on tournaments, likely wearing a shirt with your name and waving from the bleachers. It wouldn't be unusual if he were to bring his friends, some of the louder ones to cheer for you. Best of all, despite not knowing anything about taekwondo, he'd learn all the rules and ask you bunch of questions in order to understand it better. As it is a contact sport, he would be worried about you getting hurt and would come by or text you after every match, asking if you are doing well.

Random Heartstopper Rewatch Fun! Episode 2: Crush

The way that Nick and Charlie smile at each other whenever they first see each other is priceless and it makes my little shipper heart so fucking happy!!!!! Nellie is precious and adorable and I love how Charlie is like yep well I am gonna pet this doggo right now.

It takes Nick less than a MINUTE to realize Charlie got a haircut. I live with my partner and sometimes it takes me HOURS to realize that shit lol So yeah ummmm you are paying a LOT of attention to Charlie there Nick…just saying. Charlie's smile when he is like invited into the house is adorable!!!!!! He is so fucking happy!

The way that Nick just showers Charlie in compliments and words of affirmation is absolutely precious and it makes me so happy!! Squeeee also Charlie I love you but you are most definitely a nerd and at some point you are going to have to accept that. Can we talk about how much Nick seems to really admire Charlie? All those compliments and a list of things Charlie is good at is just so wonderful and with all Charlie has been through and is still going through it's so nice to see someone truly care about him for who he is and such and just AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Charlie putting his hand over Nick's mouth and practically sideways tackling him onto the bed is adorable and I just really LOVE how comfortable they are with each other!! "Dance with Me" Is a beautiful af song and definitely one I binge listen to alllllllllllllllll the fucking time! It's also just so perfect for this scene and these two because as you listen to the lyrics I feel like they just flow well with what the boys are feeling!

Nellie coming to play with them makes me super happy too because like she is adorable, they are adorable it just multiplies the ADORABLENESS!!!! And while Charlie is loving spending time with Nick I think spending time with Nellie is good for his mental health as well! Nick and Charlie having a snow ball fight is amazing and I LOVE it! Also that shot with Nick like tossing the snowball and catching it before throwing, idk it just always feels very skilled to me granted I generally hiss at the snow and try to hibernate so maybe it doesn't take that much skill? The way Charlie laughs when he hits Nick and just the sass and the way that they are so comfy with each other and just honestly having a good time makes my heart so happy!!! Nick just playing dirty and tossing a handful of snow on Charlie's head is adorable as well.

"But I think I really like you" from Dance With Me is so accurate for this scene and just AHHHHHHHHH I LOVE how perfect this soundtrack is, okay??????

And then NICK IS PLAYING WITH CHARLIE'S HAIR!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH Like how fucking cute and obvious can you be???? Which prompts Charlie to do the cute little nervous giggle and smile and just AHHHHHHHHHH then Charlie just starts making snow people and Nick is there just photographing him and I just CAN'T at how fucking cute and couply they ALREADY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!! And then Nick joins him and they have these two cute snow impressions that they make side by side hands nearly fucking brushing and just AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why are you two so damn cute??? My heart is gonna do an explode, okay?

Then in comes Nellie to join and make the selfies even cuter!!! I love the way they are both smiling in the photos as well as how they SMILE AT EACH OTHER after taking more photos and they are just both so clearly into each other!!!!!!!!! Oh hey look at that! They just won, everyone is celebrating AROUND Nick and guess who he is fucking WATCHING? His teammates on the field? His friends? His coach? NO. He is staring at CHARLIE and watching him!! Gazing longingly at the other boy! And you know waving at him and such after the game like "that was fur you" kind of how sometimes football players like hold the ball up after scoring? Anyways definitely an action I associate with love for the recipient! And Tao is doing a meddle again...however we have to talk about this line!

Like I just love the drama here but also the way that he is trying to sympathize with Charlie even though he is straight and Charlie isn't. Idk it's just a great fucking line to me. Isaac shipping Nick and Charlie is amazing and epic and I love that his reasoning is that he wants to believe in romance. I just really find him very endearing and funny. And when he's excited Isaac seems to talk rapidly which I do so it makes me feel seen.

Elle being like will you 3 calm down and talk at a pace that someone can understand???? Lol then her response to Charlie liking Nick just oh my goodness!! Why does he have to be straight??? Y'all need to just talk to the guy!!! Tao's sassy face about Elle being the cool and mysterious new girl is just fucking adorable and I love them together! Charlie trying to brush off his crush with Nick and I am like you aren't being stupid, your friends are being stubborn headed and asssssssuming! Then Elle caves to ask if she has the chance and we get to see a cute little group hug and I really enjoy how close knit they are and I love seeing them all happy!

Can we talk about how they added like the blackness around the edges to symbolize like negative thoughts, depression and anxiety in this? I love it so much because it is so accurate like you are seeing the world as it is but all that darkness and awful thoughts and shit is just creeping in around the edges until it threatens to block out all the light and the good. I just really feel that and I LOVE the accuracy of it. So anyways Charlie does a depressive zone spiral thing and then BAM! Nick manages to get him back to reality and be like hellooooo what's going on?

Then when Charlie doesn't really seem to come out of his funk Nick is like okay, lemme move closer to you, give you my undivided attention and see what is the matter! Because Nick is that in tune with Charlie's emotions that he knows almost instinctively that something is off! I feel like you only have that connection with a few people so I LOVE how close they already are and just how into Charlie Nick is!!! Also the face he makes when Charlie is clearly struggling to say anything like AHHHHHHHH MY FEEEEELS!! Charlie you sir are a chicken and the coming drama could be avoided if you just asked your question!!!! lol But nice save inviting him to your house! And Nick's little happy chuckle and smile at being invited and also possibly just having his heart warmed that Charlie wants him to come over while finding Charlie being nervous to ask absolutely endearing!

AHHHHHH how are their smiles so fucking cute! They are just like ahh yes its you and I love you so big smile of love! And Nick really can't play the drums but I love his concentration and effort lol Also he just has great facial expressions so well done Kit! The fact that Charlie just sits on this TINY fucking stool right next to NICK, his CRUSH, just baffles me! He is clearly like oh this is safe I am teaching him something but like he totally takes Nick by surprise and teaches him something VERY different. Charlie is just so into the beat and the music and enjoying having Nick there to show the drums to and Nick is like enamored AF with Charlie and staring at their hands because Charlie is basically holding his hands, and then he just stares at Charlie's face and watches him get lost in the beat and just smiles at him lovingly and it's absolutely precious and just AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He just keeps looking back and forth from Charlie holding his hands to the cute drummer's face and I am dead! Also Charlie you sir are one oblivious teen at times lol That awkward bit of laughter at the end is adorable and just ahhhh!!! Charlie seems to eventually realize how close they are because he gets up and backs away with a lame excuse but it's whatever lol

And then we are downstairs and they are watching a movie together and I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! Charlie is an adorable sleeper and watching Nick just like watch him and smile softly at him...and I feel like Nick knows without a doubt that Charlie trusts him at this point because like he is sleeping just out in the open next to him and it's not even that late so I hope he realizes that and it's part of why he smiles! And the fireworks as he puts his hand over Charlie's!!! AHHHHH!!!! And then he tries it again, but he just can't get his nerve to take Charlie's hand which is sad but also just fucking adorable!!!! Plus he now is aware that he wants to hold Charlie's hand so we have some progress towards his proper full on gay crisis so there is that. Also the way his heart is clearly racing is just so fucking realistic, it feels like that and I am just so glad with how it's portrayed!

Neither one of them wants the night to end!!!!!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so into each other and want to spend alllll the time together and it makes me so happy!!!! So, day 1 with Digimon Survive

It's a fun experience. It's not quite what I'm used to from the franchise or from games in general, but it is fun and new yet... nostalgic somehow. I mean aside from Agumon and the rest of the typecast characters. There's something about the game itself that feels new but also reminds me of something long forgotten. Probably just that I've been waiting 4 damn years for it.

But anyway, so far the whole "70% VN 30% TRPG" thing isn't too inaccurate? But I'd say it's more 60/40. There's definitely room for battles when you're given the chance, but the beginning is pretty long. The Tutorial for battle is quick but the Tutorial for exploration and dialog choices is about a couple of hours long

As far as story, it's both typical and not typical for Digimon at all. 8 kids at a summer camp get trapped in another world, including resident goggle head, a brother and his younger sibling, the responsible one, etc- but this has a supernatural, vaguely religious and terrifying twist to it. Literally in the tutorial you see these devs aren't playing around with one of the most horrifying ways for a character to die- and again, this is the tutorial, maybe 10 minutes in.

The story and Characters are unsurprisingly going to carry the game for the most part. I mentioned that they're typecast pretty similarly to the Adventure cast, but they're not quite the same. Takuma is a lot more calm and chill than Tai, and his personality is more liquid, depending on choices. I think my favorite of the bunch is Minoru, who is somewhat a mix of Mimi, Sora, and Tai at the same time and is brimming with personality and meme potential. The best Digimon though is Aoi's partner, Labramon, who exhibits all of the expected traits of a doggo that loves you after just meeting you and having severe separation anxiety. I would like to push Ryo into a mud puddle though- he's a realistic character, mind you, but he's tsundere and a coward at the same time, which just makes him annoying.

There's choices to be made, but I'm not quite sure how they affect the story just yet. But they pop up depending on how much time you spend with a character, at points in the story to decide whether you fight or run, etc.

Because my friend keeps asking about monster taming elements in it compared to Cyber Sleuth- I would strongly advise to curb your expectations. For one, there's only 117 monsters in the game vs close to 400 in CS and HM. That, and recruiting is more like an SMT game, but a bit easier imo so far. I haven't gotten too deep yet, but I believe the evolution tree is also a lot more tailored to specific monsters and smaller.

As for the Visual Novel experience, it's not too hard to get into and there's actual gameplay elements too. Also there's a lot of voice acting (no dub) and the characters are actually animated in some places, so it's a bit like playing an anime.

Overall with first impressions, I'm very impressed. I was a little worried I wouldn't be into this, but it's not hard to pick up at all. But it is a lot of reading- I'm surprised that I'm actually okay with it sense I usually hate reading (I think the enlarged letters help a bunch), but if you're one of those people that complained about too much text in the Story games, you're gonna have a bad time. Like a REALLY bad one.

As far as my own gripes, I wish BAMCO would fire their localizers and get a new one, because every fucking game from them has sloppy typos or errors that would easily be fixed if they spent a little more time scanning for errors, and Survive is no exception- granted its not a ton so far, but it really takes me out of it when I have to stop and decipher what was meant. I can't remember an exact instance, but one was something like "He is ain't going there," but more complicated and harder for me with a reading disability to decipher.

Another gripe is that the game has long load times- which I thought would be fixed by swapping to a Switch cartridge instead of a PS4 disc, but nope. It's not Sonic 06 levels long, but still pretty irritating.

Then there's a lack of polish to controls. They work fine, but you'll definitely feel that using the stick in combat to set directions could be better.

But other than this, there's a lot, and I mean a LOT of soul here. They're taking a very different approach here compared to usual, but it's fun and I'd ask anyone on the fence to give it it's fair chance. In fact, if you would as a personal favor, consider at the least adding it to your wishlists so BAMCO will see the interest the west has in their games. Their marketing has been atrocious and they don't treat the series with the same respect they do towards their other games, so if more interest is generated, they'll follow the money!

Please give it a shot! I'm going to hold off on rating it because I'm only in part 1, but it's fun so far.

Going home to see my folks for two weeks. Also going to see friends etc etc.

I've gained... 30% of my original weight.

My family has encouraged Disordered Eating my whole damn life. Mom had an ED growing up but "got better when her mom found out and dragged her home and forced her to eat". Yet the way mom spoke about herself meant that 5yo me was too scared to wear shorts because "my knees were fat". Part of why I have hated sports and exercise for most of my life was because I had to wear shorts and my knees were fat, because I felt like my fat was bouncing around etc etc.

I learned these things from my mom.

And I realised as an adult... Some of it from my dad. I remember my dad quietly commenting to me, not even in a nasty way, "God your sister has gained so much weight". He worries. We have a family medical issue that is deeply exacerbated by weight issues (idiopathic intercranial hypertension. My sister was having weekly lumbar punctures due to hers. One of my first cousins had to have a shunt put into her neck. It's really scary tbh). But the way he goes about worrying is not kind.

I'm also seeing friends that I admittedly have avoided seeing due to said weight gain.

I also have a job my dad doesn't like, and my mom doesn't know about, and I just know I'll be asked so many questions about how I'm affording to live. I'll be asked questions about my doctorate that I will struggle to answer because I'm actually on a leave of absence due to some big trauma and burn out.

My family isn't placated by simple answers. It'll be huge conversations and I'm desperately trying to think of cover stories.

I nearly had a panic attack yesterday about it.

It'll be fine. I'll see my cat and mom's doggos. It's never as bad to visit them as I expect.

And I *do* love them. A lot. I moved back to Australia because I love them. I would help them bury a body. I just love them best when I'm not nearby all the time 😂

But I'm scared as fuck about this trip.

It's nearly 3 a.m. It's when the anxiety hits and I get flooded with thoughts and what-ifs that I can't shake off, falling asleep around thirty minutes or so since I laid down. In misery. With a noisy, hyperactive brain.

Things feel off nowadays. I feel like I can't go back to things that were once there. As an adult. As a twenty-something woman who's about to leave the country in a few months time.

I get this nagging feeling that I'll lose a lot, but I'll gain a lot also. I always think back to the feelings I would never get to feel again: like cold comfy nights watching movies with my mom, wandering aimlessly while laughing out loud with friends at the mall, going home and taking a whiff of tonight's dinner while my doggo tries to catch my attention.

All these will just be memories.

What will I be coming home to in a few years time? My parents will age, my friends might not be that available anymore, and my pets... well.

Why did I post this? I don't know; I was hoping it would ease the worries.

I know I'm not alone in moving. I have my husband with me and our cat. I love them so much that I'd give the world to them.

But are we being selfish?

I'm afraid of the unknown. And excited at the same time. Inferior extroverted sensing, I suppose? Haha.

I don't want to let go in fear that I'll lose a part of me again. Maybe I wasn't able to make the most of certain events in my life that's why this seems so daunting. I'm moving so fast with college, then finding my first job, and now living abroad.

I know I have to get out for our future's sake. For a brand new world for me. An upgraded one.

But am I always looking forward to the future that I forget the things, people, and events that make my current life so special?

I don't know haha. It's crazy. Or maybe I'm crazy.

Gosh, I can't really express how I feel in this quick post. But if I could relate it to some mood or ambiance, it would be the ending of the movie Spirited Away. That always teared me up. I got so absorbed in the other world that Haku and Chihiro's goodbye crushed my heart when I was still a teenager.

I want to go back to my other world. No matter how strange, inconvenient, and annoying it might be sometimes. I'll miss everything all the same.
