Lil tutorial of how I like to color my lineart!

It’s a quick and easy way to do it, I always like to get back to it and edit a few things but for the most part it works really nice!!

the speed paint below is of a version of the final piece that i forgot to erase some things on so it looks so jank sorry 😔. also flash warning!!!!!! 30 hours of work condensed into one minute + constantly changing light and dark layers = Not the Best Un-Edited Watching Experience. also peep the rejected backgrounds lol

in the speedpaint there is a secret, regular, un-possessed sphinx Stanford, however he looked too derp to give him a real top spot in this post. He’s been shackled down here for being too silly XP

I did try to make him less cross-eyed but no dice. I’m considering getting a shaker charm created of him, where the only part that shakes is his pupils….. googly-eyed sphinx ford….. but no…… it’s too silly to bear witness to in the third dimension… he remains contained, for now !

I need to make ref sheets and outline a Lore post next for my version of monster falls/the monster falls gang….. gargoyle Stanley, my beloved….. ough……..

i read both fourth wing and iron flame this year and this illustration really reminds me of those books.

i made two of the brushes i used in this one, so that was some extra fun.

i suspect i will dedicate more time to developing this style, but it hasn’t been the drawing i have had the most fun with.

this will probably be a shout into the void but! @ artists using procreate, how do y'all deal with pen pressure? and is there any way i can select only an area of my lines and transform/alter it instead of having to do that to the whole selected level? also can you flip the canva when needed 'cause i've been trying it out for some hours now and i can't seem to find a way to work with it

YouTube Tutorial Take One

Did some googling around looking for interesting tutorials to try, after some trial and error tried James Julier. In part because I like his style, but mostly because he uses the default brushes and I didn’t have to worry about downloading anything to give it a try 😊

I actually didn’t finish this one, got a little overwhelmed by trying to paint and follow along. Lots of pausing and rewinding. Might go back and finish it another time, we’ll see.

Here’s a little tutorial on how to make symmetrical drawings on Procreate since I’ve had some people asking!

The drawing guide has some other neat options, you can also edit the mirror tool to be horizontal, quadrant and radial, just tap options after tapping symmetry in the drawing guide :D

Can you do a step by step tutorial on how to read and use ur interactive fanfic for Lackadaisy? I’m having trouble accessing it and am not quiet sure what to do. I’m sorry if I’m being a pain, I’m not very good with these things! 😭 have a good day/night :)

Download the UTDM file off google drive, open it with any browser - chrome, internet explorer, firefox, whatever you use. It's an .html file, which is basically a "website" you open up in a browser. Just very basic and stripped down, lol.

If you download the .html to an android phone or android tablet, open with a browser app. Do NOT use "HTML Viewer", youll just get gibberish.

If you have an iphone, ipad, macbook, etc there's a whole rigamarole bc they don't like to read .html files and stopped supporting them. This post links to another post to help with Apple stuff; i cant really troubleshoot or help because I dont have any apple products.

If you delete the .html file you'll also lose the "saves" in it. Moving and renaming it is fine.
