His ears are wide open, yet unable to grasp much meaning, so Ian lets his eyes try.

They wander towards the warm, yet curious glint of Lucia’s smile, to her worn and weathered hands pushing away crumpled cash, and the soft and secret stare they share as she relents, taking what was once Ian’s, then Mickey’s, now hers: like an endless knot of karma, weaving seemingly disparate actions into the whirling wheel of will.

His thoughts grow dangerous and hopeful as Mickey turns, then stops dead, like he knew Ian would be there, but is still surprised to see him.

We need more weird historian rep in Doctor Who. The companions are too normal when faced with the prospect of time travel. I want a companion who makes a list of super specific historical destinations related to their dissertation. I want somebody whose first reaction to finding out that the Doctor is a time travelling alien is to create a Microsoft Word document and ask, “What caused the Late Bronze Age collapse?”

So there was a clip of an interview with Ian Flynn going around where one of the questions was, “Would Sonic kiss Shadow as a joke?” (The answer was “yes”, and he also goes onto mention Shadow trying to “one-up” him.) But I was REALLY confused by the comments!! The ones saying things like “no he fucking wouldn’t” and “why would you make poor Ian imagine that??”, I just didn’t get.

I was so caught up in the euphoria of Sonic and Shadow playing gay chicken, that for a minute, I lived in a world where homophobia didn’t exist.

i think a lot about john and ian and their strange, implicit estrangement. it is never explicitly addressed but it is there. blunt going out of his way to say that ian was a good agent but john was a better one. alex always being compared to john despite ian being the man who raised him. ian never telling alex anything about his parents. john never sparing a thought for ian in the snakehead coda. ash being chosen to be the best man at john's wedding and alex's godfather instead of ian. ian being recruited to mi6 straight out of university while john went military and none of it mattering in the end because it was still john who was chosen for the scorpia mission, john who died the hero, john who got blown up and martyred while ian's own death barely registered. you're twentysomething years old and your older brother has just been murdered after being better than you at the one thing you are defined by and you will spend fourteen years raising his son, and none of it will matter. here's a question: why does ian hate being called 'uncle' so much? here's another: can you still be an uncle without a brother?

I love your Mighty, Ray, and Trip team art! I always used to pair Mighty and Ray with Honey in my mind for a Heroes-esque team, but now that Trip's here, I'm at a loss over who she'd be teamed with these days. Any ideas? I could maybe see her being teamed with Fang, Bean, and Bark as a counter to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, but for a Heroes team arrangement... if Sticks and Cream are Amy's team, then Honey and Big...? I can't think of a Flight character though...
