So when a ghost becomes injured, they have a last ditch defense where they retreat into their core. And I mean, injured badly where their body is rip apart to the point they can’t hold a solid form anymore. And they basically go into a hibernation state until they are strong enough to form again.

Ellie, Danny, and Dan are all injured in a final battle against the GIW. The organization was destroyed and the ghosts were safe but the halfas ended up being so injured that they reverted to core form and then went to sleep for a bit. When they woke up, they were still weak but at least recovered enough to gain consciousness. And realize…they are in some kind of auction…in the middle of a heist. It appeared that two furries (one in a bat costume and one in a cat costume) were ducking it out. And they…they were a necklace. All three of them had been turned into a necklace with their cores as gems accompanied by sapphires, pearls, and opals. And frankly gorgeous craftsmanship as the metal was crafted around their cores as if to cradle them and the other gems.

Unfortunately, they were too weak to take a form properly, they could still feel the strain on their bodies. But at least they could still communicate through their auras. Then the cat lady punched a hole in the glass container surrounding them and grabbed their necklace.

However, the bat grabbed the other end and it resulted in a sort of tug-a-war. Meanwhile, Danny, Ellie, and Dan were having a back and form commentary on the situation and what they should do. Completely unheard by the other party.

In the corner of their eye, the three halfas finally noticed a third contender. Some kind of clown who was…hold on…holding a gun?! And it was pointed straight at the two fighting furies who had yet to notice him. The ghosts’ protective instincts went into overdrive and they frantically tried to shout, yell, move. Just do something to warn the two but their cries fell on deaf ears. All they succeeded in doing was faintly glow which immediatly caught the attention of the fighting duo. The two turned to look at the strange necklace but right at that moment, the clown fired and a gunshot rang throughout the auction room. Having no other options, Danny and the others poured every ounce of ectoplasm they had to try and phaseshift, making the two furries intangible as the bullets passed right through them, but in their shock, the two jumped away in opposite directions and accidentally ripped the necklace apart. Gems and pearls went flying and the three cores bounced along the ground.

Luckily, the two finally noticed the clown and went to deal with him and his minions who had appeared. Seemingly putting their fight on hold and forming a temporary truce. The three halfas could only watch as the battle finally wound down, ending with the cops barging into the place and arresting the clown and his grunts, the cat managing to escape with half the scattered gems and pearls from the broken necklace along with a few other jewelry pieces (none of their cores though) and the bat leaving through a skylight.

The auction continued and in the end, despite being broken, their necklace seemed to have caught someone’s interest. A man named Bruce Wayne bought up every piece of the shattered jewelry wear. The auctioneers appeared relived that the item managed to sell in the end and gratefully gave it to him.

Bruce had no idea what happened at the auction, but he could have sworn that some of the gems faintly glowed right before he and Selina were shot. If the necklace was some sort of magical item, then he needed to understand exactly what has been brought to Gotham. It was unfortunate that Selena had taken some parts of the necklace but he utilized his vast wealth to make sure all the other parts ended in his possession. Now he would take them back to the mansion for examination.

like it is a wild thing to say that higher education in its current iteration is a scam made to promise the working class a better life only to sink us into impossible debts that we can never repay and are just another way to keep the working class working for the wealthy. anywho!

You know sometime you just didn't realize how similar Vlad and Danny are. Until you tries to write them as friend. but they keep graviting toward each other evolving into something more. Like this is like my 17 re write now and it still resulted in Vlad sacifiescing himself so Danny could live caused Danny importance and impact on his life is way more importance to him then his own well being. And don't get me started with the Groundhog Day where Vlad leaving caused they have a bad fall out essentially caused the worst timeline.

Danny even copy Vlad pun as a coping mechanism and Vlad adopting Danny old stoic behavior.

Has every intention to try and defy his so-called fate even still, even knowing all that effort may be for naught in the end. But at least he would like to say he tried

Tends to help people on a whim, without desiring credit for his actions or if it may help them in the long run

His abilities sap the vitality of his enemies, but consume his own when he uses his strongest ability

Due to his family's contract with the Abyss Order, his lifespan is longer than most humanoids, spanning centuries. Though not quite that of a Xianzhou native, like them, his people do still face a terrible curse to become monsters after a time, like many of the Abyss Order.

He is glad his loved ones will never live to see him succumb to it. One way or another.

Though he also secretly harbors the strongest desire to force the Abyss's immortality on them to ensure they can stay with him, and face the same fate. He has to wonder if the slumbering monster in him is to blame for that, or his own attachments

tbh i do feel like a lot of sport dog or general dog people's confusion regarding why certain gear not made for specific sports does not work for that said sport comes from a general lack of people who do not have a lot of personal experience wearing sport equipment or doing sports themselves.

Obviously people not having that experience is not a bad thing, we all learn and grow and it's great imo that people want to do active things with their dogs (any little bit you do is positive in my eyes). But it's just a fact to me that when you, personally, have experience with how YOU feel in different type of sports equipment, that knowledge certainly transfers to animal sports as well.

Plotting a DCxAsoiaf crossover primarily to feed my Jason Todd obsession loosely inspired by details within the three references below.

My heart just wants to give my oc someone to arch her back and Jason needs someone to get his too. Im playing with the idea of Lazarus pits being gateways between worlds or realities and instead of being pulled out of the pit by Talia Jason is lost in the ruins of Old Valyria. This occurs at the point of my ocs timeline where she just happens to be in Valyria and coincidentally they stumble upon each other while sheltering from remnants of the Doom. There’s some scavenging and many allusions to the Bloodraven and such. Set in Westeros/Essos before the events of the book 266Ac-280Ac ish. I haven’t decided if I want to dive into the original plot or not but GRRM set up a massive world to explore and there’s plenty of story potential outside the primary locations.

I feel like it's a shame they're so lost in the shuffle. 4 kits from BrackenSorrel, 3 kits for Squirrelflight, 3 older ones from Daisy.... 10 is already a lot in Po3 and I think Fox and Ice get drowned out a lot.

I've always digged the idea of swapping them to Cloudtail and Brightheart tbh, making Ice look like a clone of his dad and Fox have the same shade of orange as his mom.

It sucks that they killed so many of Ferncloud's kids, it was one of the things that killed genetic diversity in the Clan. If they stay around it will probably be to replace Snowbush and Ambermoon, who are being removed completely.

Overall though the four of them shouldn't have even existed imo. Bloat characters.

Like, I'm sorry, but the moment any customer tries to use their patronage (i.e. "I've been coming to your store for ××× amount of time!!") as leverage then I just lose sympathy. Especially when, as I explained three times, I literally cannot do anything to fix the problem.

as a tip for my fellow vault hunters skyblock players: this farm works really, really well and is very much worth the price in materials to probably build way more earlygame than i did given the number of valuable things that it outputs (basically every vanilla material that comes from an ore, ender pearls, and a smattering of other things). it was designed by halflight in the vault hunters discord, so give them a shoutout if you use it! it's working really well for me and i figured i'd go ahead and suggest it if you don't lurk there like i do.

Everyone everywhere would hear the news; Shibuya was falling. Not to terrorism or to economic collapse--but to curses. It was all over news media, though not directly claiming curses as the cause, but those within would know better. One Sona Buvelle certainly did. While not a proclaimed jujutsu sorcerer or hailing from any of the prestigious schools, she lived among their ilk--a hidden songbird within the insidious web of intrigue and death. And while she hid away like some precious treasure, others were being slaughtered. Lestara, her adoptive mother from America all but confirmed this. While the Buvelles did not meddle directly in such affairs, they were constantly dealing with passing information, such as their role as diplomats within Japan. There was an orchestrated event, and through unknown circumstances even to her wise guardian, conditions were worsening. "And they will worsen yet if we with power do not act." It was simple enough to evade the detection of those who stood watch over the estate. Sona had grown accustomed to finding alternate routes out of her home so she may explore town beyond the Buvelle complex. However, where she roams far exceeds that humble life in Nara she had before. Where her swift footfalls lead her to is that of the epicenter of tragedy--Shibuya itself. It is there that Sona finds herself, cornered in a dead end alleyway with a curse blocking her only means of escape. Her body trembles, deprived of precious oxygen from the chase. It didn't help that she was burdened by the weight of a rather peculiar object, wrapped up in cloth and bound to her back. She hadn't wished to use it yet, wanting to sneak around until she could find another sorcerer, but- "M̵̬͗a̷̮̓m̵̧̾ȁ̷͙ã̸͍a̵͓̾~" A discordant voice cries out from the amalgamation, one with eight arms and legs, with skin sloughing off its body like a seeping pustule. A hand raises, long fingers barely grazing the top of the golden artifact which now hovered before her. With that singular hand stroke came a wave of blue energy--and song. It, too, was ethereal and fleeting, as if it came from the heavens itself. There was something so rapturous about the sound that it surely could not exist. The ornate curvature and the golden glow to the artifact certainly made it appear holy in nature--something to be revered as a work of art than a weapon. And yet, as that blue energy streaked forward, it cleaved two large slices into the curse, successfully halting it in place. But then the mass of flesh started crawling at her, then it began ripping itself apart, splitting itself by arms and legs. Sona pressed herself in the dank brick wall behind her, watching in abject horror at the metamorphosis. She struck down the creature--but it wasn't simply a singular entity--it was a curse which was clinging to others like a colony. "M̷͓̬̌A̵̗͖̍M̶̘̆Ä̴̪A̷̗͖̎A̴͍͑̈́Ä̸̲́A̴͎̯͋̀A̴̳̺̍́A̷͙͋͜Ä̶̤́!!!" The set of five curses cried out, leaving the fallen sixth on the alley floor, all but forgotten as they charged the twin tailed woman. Sona hesitates against the wall, her mind racing. She hadn't used the etwahl until now, and she and it still had energy left to use. But cornered like this, against these numbers? She could unleash that technique, but she hasn't used it on others before--and that would deplete her energy significantly, leaving her as easy prey for any other curse that would happen upon her from the attention she was drawing right now. But wasn't she dead if she didn't attempt it? "Ŵ̵̲H̷͕͂Ë̴ͅR̷̳̄Ē̴͓ ̴̮̌I̶͙͂S̷͒ͅ ̵̳͛M̷̛̲Ȃ̴͔Ṁ̶̗À̸̱A̶͙̔A̸̭̍A̴̻͗Ǎ̶̬A̷̡̒À̵͔A̴̛͜!!!!"

It absolutely will be, I promise!!! I’m just notoriously bad at working on multiple WIPs at the same time, and I need to finish my Jonerys multichap first. But there’s only 2 chapters left (which I am really hoping to get done for NaNo this year) and then the ice dancing au will be my main focus once again. I’m gonna have it done before I go to Figure Skating Worlds in 2025, that’s the goal 😂
