abbie and ichabod:

They both start out as main characters, working together since the ep. 1. Next three seasons follow the regular m/f protagonist duo pattern: they need each other's help, there's chemistry going on, there are heartwrenching scenes and dramatic sacrifices, they learn they can only truly rely on each other - so the next step is to let them be together, right? Wrong. The next step is to let lt. Mills make a final sacrifice, which on top of killing the pairing insults her as a character - suddenly from the POV protagonist she started as she's demoted to secondary character who always was just there to be the main guy's support. There are some feelings acknowledged, but no confessions or promises exchanged during the final fleeting reunion. Three-seasons-worth of build-up and then she dies.

Nearly four years later, I'm posting the 10th chapter of that story, finally the fixing bit on my fix it fic.

Literally everything about the writing of Pacific Rim make it seem like they're setting up for a romance between these two and then they just. Don't. Despite this, "drift compatable" was one of the most popular AUs for couples after the film came out for a hot minute because of how romantic they (mako and raleigh) made the concept seem. *gestures to the entire movie* seriously note: "drift compatible" describes an in-universe trait of the relationship between raleigh and mako, meaning this trait was so romantic that it would be implemented for other ships in au fanfics. some notes from the pacrim wiki: Whether two pilots are "Drift Compatible" with one another depends largely on their personal connection and their ability to work in sync with each other. 5. Do you respond to comments?

I didn't in the past because I have awful social anxiety, but I do now because I know how hard it is to leave comments and I want to be sure readers know how much I appreciate them.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ragnarök, by far. That ending was incredibly difficult and emotional to write.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Gods in Disguise, my latest Odin/Zane one-shot has a pretty happy ending despite the tragedy that awaits those characters in the future.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

No, I don't think I've published enough yet.

9. Do you write smut?

Absolutely. I'm not sure I could write an Odin/Zane fic at this point that didn't contain smut.

10. Craziest crossover?

Probably one of the first fics I ever wrote, a dumb The X-Files/Dark Tower series by Stephen King crossover. Not my proudest moment but we all have to start somewhere.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

lol, no. I haven't published enough and my work isn't popular enough.

Nope

14. All time favourite ship?

If we're talking ships I actually write, then by far Odin/Zane. All-time favorite ship though is probably tied between Mulder/Scully and House/Wilson.

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I don't have any WIPs other than Ragnarök's sequel, and I'm most definitely finishing that one.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Descriptions and character development. I'm currently writing characters with little canon development, so I've essentially turned them into OCs and it's been a lot of fun to develop their voices. Hopefully I'm good at writing smut, because I quite enjoy writing it!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Reusing imagery. When I find something I like, it's hard to resist using it again. I also put way too much stock in external validation, which is... tough when you're writing an extreme rarepair. Writing really brings out a lot of my mental health demons and it's difficult to stay positive and motivated sometimes.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

If it fits the character.

19. First fandom you wrote in?

The X-Files - that crossover fic I mentioned above.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Ragnarök. I took what was supposed to be a simple exploration into a sparsely-detailed canon event and turned it into an intense tragic love story. While I've written smut before, I'd never written romance and it was challenging and extremely rewarding. I'm now working on the sequel to that fic, and have plans for a third longfic and several other one-shots. It's also the first longfic I've completed, so it will always be special for that reason.

while ichabod and abbie were destined to work together at the end of time by bonded souls, mike was chosen by them to join them. mike was a cold case detective who thought this was far more interesting. this was a slow burn polyship. this ship is defunct.

mike and dude are originally friends when mike first meets the sheriff's deputy. they have a big falling out after dude goes off with the stage girl and returns drunk and broken hearted. mike tries to house and care for him but he runs them dry out of money and patience. they don't speak for 2 years. when he's sober again, he's very sorry and the situation with nathan burdette forces them to be around each other and allows them to heal their relationship (and realize they are very much in love). they care for each other and lean on each other. also: queers in cowboy get up. need i say more?

Oh, sounds like sleepy hollow meets the x-files, oh, they're describing it as the x-files meets men in black. WRONG. Sleepy Hollow meets the x-files is the most apt comparison due to it's ground breaking representation featuring Leftenant Abby Mills and Ichabod Crane that hadn't been done before.

Example, being a latino in a starring role in a supernatural crime procedural series that has the potential to run for 3 to 5 seasons if it's handled well and being iconic enough to leave a trail of reaction gifs behind.
