It's been a long time for Steve and Bucky to cry, even for crying their heart out to release all their feelings through tears.

The rest of the Avengers rubbed their eyes. They couldn't believe the strongest soldiers standing tall before, were shorter than them.

Steve and Bucky have turned into babies. They were standing too close to Tony and Bruce's new invention. 

The high IQ bros try to copy the Pym-particles to shrink and increase an object.

"What kind of machine is that, Tony?!" Natasha pushed Tony away while he was still in shock. 

"I'm trying to make a quantum machine like Ant-man. Look, it works!!! The box got small.” Tony pointed at the test object.

"Yeah, it’s obvious the zone needs to get fixed." Natasha carried Bucky to her arm. At the same time, Steve was taken by Clint. Steve wants to push Clint away because he stinks. 

Bucky did the same towards Natasha; her perfume was too strong. Natasha couldn't help it since she just returned from her mission, and Clint was training when Tony called him.

Tony shook his head. "If Steve and Bucky didn't stand near the test object, they wouldn't get transformed." 

Natasha wants to punch him. "You..!!"

All the adults are pointing at each other. At the same time, Steve and Bucky were confused. Since they're shorter than everyone and the mood in the room doesn't feel good, it makes them uncomfortable.

"Uuh…"

All of them stop arguing because they suddenly hear a sobbing voice.

"Hey, guys? Is everything alright?" You were preparing to go out since today is your day off. Before putting on sunscreen, F.R.I.D.A.Y informed you that something happened at the lab.

“Why did you give him to me?” You nervously hold Steve. Even though he’s a baby now, he is still your boss. You turned to Tony. "You better fix this!!"

Bucky saw Steve get carried by you. And he wants it, too. "Ahh…" He pulled Natasha's shirt and pointed at you. 

"Even in baby form, you can't be separated from your best friend?"

After everyone stops panicking, Tony wears his Iron suit and buys kid's clothes; perhaps he wants to run away. Bruce is fixing the machine, Clint went home to get toys for Steve and Bucky, and Natasha is helping you. 

But you know Natasha just returned after a 3-month mission, and from her eyes, you could see she's damn tired. So you told her to rest. 

In the end, there are two babies in your arms. You learn that Steve and Bucky are two years old and can walk alone. 

You put them on the couch while you went to the fridge to make warm milk for them. You're not nervous taking care of little kids since you always cared for nieces and nephews before being accepted as a SHIELD agent.

But you’re nervous since you have a little crush towards your idols. 

You're relieved to see milk inside the fridge. When you turn around to search for a pan, you're shocked not to see the two babies on the sofa.

Where are they?

Then you feel someone is watching you. You looked and saw Steve and Bucky looking at you. 

You lean down and speak softly towards them, "I'm making warm milk for you both. Do you want some?"

Steve and Bucky nodded at the same time. With their fluffy cheeks and small body-like dumplings, you wouldn't believe they're the same boss who is deadly and righteous at the same time. You patted their head gently. 

When the milk has warmed up, you give it to both. Steve and Bucky drink the warm milk. They widened their eyes when they tasted it. It's delicious. 

In their eyes, you're the person they could look up to. You never raised your voice, and you gave them a delicious drink. 

Is this what it feels like to have a big sister? 

After 30 minutes, Tony returned with shopping bags from the kid's store. 

"Give me the clothes. It needs to be cleaned first before they wear it." You received the bag from Tony. You look inside the bag and see there are pyjamas too. 

"I'm going to the laundry room. Could you watch them for a while?"

"Sure."

Steve and Bucky didn't want to be left alone with Tony. Their short legs immediately run after you. Then, each of them hugs each of your legs.

Your body froze. You looked down at the little boys who held your legs, their two big eyes looking at you intensely. 

You knew they didn't want to be left alone at this moment. "Umm, Tony, could you do the dirty laundry instead?"

Tony nodded his head. "Yup, the message is clear: both hate me." 

Since then, both Steve and Bucky have followed you everywhere. They helped you when you made lunch. They wash all the veggies. 

You chuckled, even though they turn into kids, they are always helping. 

But no matter what, they're just a kid who needs attention. You learned that when eating together with them. 

When you help to feed Bucky because of his metal arm, it doesn't seem like he can control his body. 

Steve doesn't like to see Bucky get all your attention. He starts to make a noise and drops his spoon. "Ah..ahhh..."

Because of that, you feed them in turns. 

And before they go to sleep, you want to read a bedtime story. You thought this would be easy since they didn't take a nap. 

You were wrong. First, it was Steve's book choice; then, it was Bucky's. You should've said only one story but couldn't say no to them.

When they fell asleep, you slowly went out of the room. Finally, you could breathe. Even though you like kids, it takes time and energy. 

But at least because of this, your secret crush towards your bosses is gone. Like 50% gone. 

Before you join the Avengers, your HR has told you to keep everything professional. It's impossible not to like Captain America and The Winter Soldier.

At first, you saw them cute. But because their crying and whining hurt your eardrum, it shattered their perfect image in your brain. 

You don't think you could wait for another day. You could handle terrorists, pirates, and aliens, but not kids. You wish Tony and Bruce could finish the machine quickly.

It took three days to fix the machine. When Steve and Bucky return to their old self, they fall asleep to get checked first. After two hours, they finally woke up and searched for you. 

"Ooh, you're looking for Y/N? I gave her a week off after caring for both of you."

Yes, you do. When Bruce said the machine worked fine without side effects, you immediately left the building and went to a bar. 

At the bar, you gulped the second glass of beer. You sighed heavily since you realised you needed the strongest alcohol to erase the image from your mind of baby Steve Rogers and baby Bucky Barnes when they're crying, nagging and pulling your hair.

Trying to organize my schedule so I can at the very least get 7 hours of sleep because I can't function without more than 6 hours (also I should be healthy) got me thinking about how much the ass class kids sleep.

People say teens should get 8 - 10 hours of sleep and that's my goal, but I have to keep making that time lower and lower... so like did the ass class kids get the right amount of sleep?

I think Nagisa may have? Like after a long day of school, climbing up and down the mountain, dealing with... everything, plus coming home to his mom, I think he'd use sleep as a way to avoid her. So the moment he comes home, he sleeps and when he wakes up he tries to leave away. He seems like a morning person to me, and personally as a morning person, I'm only a morning person when I get like a refreshing amount of sleep (which is about 7-9 hours).

Must I even talk about Karma? Because no way. Istg he cannonically does not sleep enough. Wakes up with a struggle bc he stayed up way too late studying or playing video games and has to run out his door to not be too tardy ( he only gets enough sleep if he's late to school bc he physically can't get up )

Kayano must have traumatic nightmares fuelling her anger throughout most of the series... and even after she finds out the truth, I don't think it gets nightmares of her dead sister out of her mind, so I think she tries to sleep well and struggles because of the nightmares (plus the uncomfortableness of the tentacles).

Terasaka may get some good sleep too? I mean physically he's very fit and also he acknowledges the stupid things Karma and Nagisa do a couple of times. He calls out their behaviours of overworking (like during the nagisa v karma fight) and killing intent (? like when Nagisa goes blind with rage bc of Takaoka) so I think he's pretty in tune to his own behaviour esp after his spotlight episode where he reforms. Basically I think Terasaka promotes a healthy sleep schedule and makes sure that all of his friends get at least 8 hours a night.

Isogai works, studies, trains, helps out at home, is the class president... boy has a lot on his plate and I think he gets very little sleep bc of this. Like he is responsible and knows that he should sleep more but he can't because of all the responsibilities he has (which I think is a very very relatable issue).

Asano... lacks sleep. Literally looks sickly. Sleeps like 2 hours a night. He learned his sleeping habits from the worst person to learn sleeping habits from; his father. (idk how his brain isn't fried)

Kirara lacks sleep too, but it's a choice. She stays up all night reading or writing after finishing up everything she has to do and loses track of time. Terasaka is trying to fix this poor habit of hers. (He definitely does by the time high school rolls around)

Nakamura does try but she's also a natural genius. Unlike other geniuses in her world, her brain functions with the perfect amount of sleep, so she sleeps enough.

Megu sacrifices her sleep to help others and has a ton of extra responsibilities, like Isogai. So, she usually doesn't get enough sleep. On the rare occasion that she does, she sleeps in way too much.

Wow, I had more thoughts about this than I thought I did. I was about to leave this with the main trio, but started thinking more. (Takebayashi lacks sleep too, with the cram schools and studying)

I wish we had like an exact schedule of these kids' days because they have so much on their plate. Analyzing the kids probable schedules under the cut.

Ik this varies, but I'm assuming their school day starts at 8:45 and ends at 3:15. That's 6.5 hours.

They can't go to extra curriculars, BUT they have their after school training, which I would say, is probably fairly extensive. I want to say it's about 1-2 hours a day? With school, it's 8.5 hours.

Not to mention, the climb up the mountain itself. There's multiple mentions of how long and exhausting it is. I think it takes about 30 minutes a trip, on average? Bc plenty of ppl have made it up, but it does take a while and it's tiring (could take longer cause of this) bc it's a mountain. So this is one more hour, just going up and down the mountain.

So, so far, these kids have school, where they learn and study at for 6.5 hours. And not including P.E, they work out/train for 3 hours a day.

Then there's the trip home which varies for all of them, not including the mountain trek. I think most of them have to wait for transit aND walk to the subways, which aren't too close, so I'm gonna say this is another hour? On average, I'd say. So that's two hours gone with transit a day

So far, 11.5 hours of their day is gone, outside of their homes, doing their like typical day responsibilities. Now they have 12.5 hours of their day left. With getting that max amount of 10 hours of sleep, they'd have 2.5 hours to work on homework, study a bit more, eat some food, take care of themselves, do their chores, and poor Isogai's got work. Plus you know, ppl have hobbies, things they enjoy.

Basically, it's impossible (or rlly hard) for the ass class kids to be getting the right amount of sleep. It is also rlly hard to get the right amount of sleep as a teen or an adult... good luck with the new school year guys.

I believe harry was more mature than her dispite him being younger and her always demanding stuff turned him off. Introduction Post

Hello, my name is CJ Nightingale, and this is my blog dedicated to my OCs, their story, and the development of said story!! I'm making this blog for the sake of having a designated place to talk about my OCs, and so that I have some people to hold me accountable for actually making story progress, since I've been struggling a bit to actually sit down and make progress on getting the comic going. I think having a blog about it will help me stay motivated. Hopefully. Lol

A little bit of story related information:

This story has over 36 very important characters, not including antagonists and "true" side characters. This story takes place over the course of about 7 or 8 years, in 5 acts, taking the characters from middle school into early college. It's based in what I believe would be described as an "urban fantasy" setting, which looks similar to our world but is quite different. The story is meant to be mostly lighthearted, but there will be very intense moments and emotional damage (and a little blood sometimes too, as there will be fantasy violence).

I will make proper posts describing things in more detail as I go, but for the time being here's a brief introduction to each of the main characters:

Skylar: Acts 1-5, sarcastic, takes no BS, a bit of an enigma, Lukas' twin

Jesse: Acts 1-5, scatterbrained, just out here doing his best

Rin: Acts 1-5, mischievous, enjoys trying new things

Zander: Acts 1-5, smart, unbothered, designated "responsible dude"

Tabitha: Acts 1-5, bubbly, arguably too much faith in humanity

Lukas: Acts 1-5, looks more chill than he actually is, emotionally intelligent (most of the time), Skylar's twin

Lydia: Acts 1-5, too smart for her own good, very good with power tools

Marcus: Acts 1-5, quiet, listens a lot and knows more than he should, arguably drinks too much caffeine

Jules: Acts 2-5, highly approachable and talkative, likes poofy dresses

Dillon: Acts 2-5, skeptical of people, likes roller derby, hates group projects

Takuma: Acts 2-5, Ambitious, sarcastic, has doodled on every piece of clothing they own

Mariah Mae: (Kind of a side character) Acts 2-5, wildly peppy, a bit of a nerd, highly authentic person

Rea: Acts 2-5, perpetually has her head in the clouds, bewildered by humans

Dani: Acts 2-5, highly intuitive, knows all the things, likes music and their service dog

Booker: Acts 2-5, tends to accidentally run his mouth, likes basketball, bass guitar, and his friends

Ollie: Acts (1) 3-5, a little bit reactive, closed off, terrifyingly good at sleight of hand and at lying (do not play poker with him)

Meklit: Acts (1) 3-5, levelheaded, blunt, likes people and dislikes shoes

Gavin: Acts 3-5, both lawyer smart and a bit naïve, cellist, keeps putting himself in situations by accident

Goldie: Acts (1) 3-5, a bit shy, puts a lot of pressure on himself but looks really really chill at all times, chronic doodler

Blake: Acts 1-5, very antsy, very tired, very full of nervous energy, makes some poor decisions

Zaahira: Acts 4-5, genuinely nice person, cares about people, prefers plants

Wulf: Acts (3???) 4-5, impulsive, giggly, just happy to be here, on the run from the government

Akachi: Acts (1) 3-5, extremely ambitious, aesthetically inclined, color coordinated at all times

Selene: Acts 4-5, high tolerance for shenanigans, very bubbly, just out here having a good time

Sakura: Acts 4-5, detail oriented, loves stickers, can borderline read minds/hj

Remi: Acts 4-5 (probably??? gonna have to figure that out a bit more), very smart, very sarcastic, very giggly, very happy to be here

Leah: Acts 1-5, insomniac, a bit pretentious, makes some poor decisions

Sylvi: Acts (1) 3-5, borderline annoying theatre kid in the best way possible, very good singer

Karim: (Arguably a side character) Acts 4-5 (maybe idk), arguably too much faith in humanity, enjoys puns

Jono: Acts (3) 5, loves music, loses his train of thought frequently, looks more nervous than he is

Ivanna: Acts (3) 5, tough, good at water polo, believes in doing the right thing

Sovanna: Acts (3) 4-5, super chill, loves stickers, loves travelling, detail oriented

Ash: Act 5, under a ton of pressure, a bit reactive, out here trying his best

Coral: Act 5, can be hard to talk to, big listener, takes herself very seriously

Sib: (arguably a side character) Act 5, way too much energy at all times, good sense of humor, Ari's twin

Ari: (arguably a side character) Act 5, tired, quiet, talks more to animals than he does people

So that's a brief introduction to the non-antagonist characters, I'll make actual introduction posts for them later, but also if y'all want to ask questions about any of them before I get to that lmk!! I feel like. If Archer Gil is summoned to a Holy Grail War, he's difficult to deal with in a herding-cats kind of way. He's capable of being intelligent and strategic if properly motivated, but is so convinced of his own superiority that he sees no reason to bother and prioritizes enjoying himself. If CasGil is summoned, he's difficult because he's got work to do. CasGil loses access to a sizable amount of his treasures, and while he has a talent for magic, it's not like he trained as an actual proper mage. So he is forced to rely on strategy more. If CasGil appears, he's got plans besides goofing around and having fun, and those plans may not necessarily include saving the inhabitants of a city he doesn't particularly care for.

Or perhaps he just looks around Fuyuki City, decides he doesn't give a shit about any of this, and proceeds to just pass out on Tokiomi's most luxurious bed for a month. Once all the other Servants have tired themselves out, he swoops in to eliminate all of them because that's still his Grail, why the hell would he let you touch it.

But like. I think CasGil would still be very difficult and controlling and possessive when dealing with him, just in a slightly different flavor. 'I know what's best, I don't have to tell you what I'm planning, I say jump you say how high' rather than blatant hedonism.

So far, the premise is, for every 20 years, there's this seven families and they send a kid to fight to death so that the victor's family can collect this supreme power of high magick (different than common magick, as every spell casted with this, doubled in their levels.)

Ignoring the fact that this premise is a bit insane because there's like mom and dads sending their kid, prepping them for a deathly killing game in which only one can be stated victorious. Then again, they also kinda refer to themselves as villains. Maybe Alistair only, for now.

Alright, I'm on my 5th chapter. The first five chapter rotates from each of the four (main?) cast. Alistair is from the family that grooms him to be the victorious rep, and they had a very healthy dynamics in which the kids are locked and trained exclusively for the sole purpose of the tournament. What are the adults doing? Villain stuff, I guess. Or standing in the background since it's tradition. Each chapter got this cool transition in how they introduce the next character for the next chapter. Alistair met Isobel at this bar, where they sorta clash. Isobel is the media darling and her family scrouge magicks off dead people like vultures. Gavin is one of the Grieves, which not so coincidentally is the name of the family that's also the lowest of the low since they're always losing and what I get is they was of the lower class so they get picked up a lot. Brion is from the family of Thornburry where she was the expected champion rep of her family only to be snubbed because of the government intervention. Is that four? Five? four alright.

So far, I think like the characters is set up to work with one another, I don't know. With how there's this subplot of the tradition being exposed to the general public, maybe it will end them with like rebelling the tradition by somehow friendship power, tada! I think my favorite character as of now is Gavin simply because he seems to be taking the risk of the whole murder tournament thing lightly. The other three seems confident but guys... DEATH!!!!! Briony seems like, oh if it's not for the tournament I would be doing like athletes competition and stuff LIKE GIRL... idk maybe the discrepancies between how they implied that even being the winner of this death game would be life-changingly destructive and depressing (like to the previous Lowe's victor)...

BUT ALL IN ALL... i'm reading it slow and i'm enjoying it so far. i nitpick but i know i missed a lot of clues and obvious things happening maybe💀

Briony had her whole aspiration and expectations taken away, obviously shaken and on the verge of breaking down. There she met her sister, turns out she didn't like it as well. Isobel was doubting herself and for some reason 10 hours before the tournament her father was like... She was legit finally thinking of consequences of dying (which was something other champions barely mention or bother to care that there's chances they're gonna die. Like poof.) AND THEN CUE HIS FATHER acting all tough love and shit "Girl, you can do it. I believe in u, dearest daughter." like bro u barely saw her more than once a month before. Also ur sending ur kid to a murder game. AND THEN SHE ATE IT UP LIKE... One thing that's bothering me so much is that the author established a lot of rules only to bail it out and write whatever later on lol sure there's a reason (that being the cycle is disturbed, high magick yada yada) but still it's just an asspull after another asspull. There's a barrier but people can just cross over now with no actual consequences (Innes went in. But also no paps yet, why?). High magick can't be seen unless they're the victors, only for it to be retconned in the second book now that champions can see them fine. There's only seven champion reps, only for them to add one more later. Like... At this point it doesn't feel like a tournament game again. If there's only few I can look past it but it felt like a sandbox game that they can mend whatever rules as they like. No satisfying build up too.

jannat se aagay i'm on the fence about. i feel like umera ahmed dramas are always hit or miss with me these days and the more i rewatch some of them the more it feels like there's a recurring theme of women being made to feel they're ungrateful to god for reacting to hardships created by societal misogyny. which obv is not surprising and is in fact something highly relevant to the experiences of women in our society, but ig i'm kind of tired of it too and want to see a situation where a woman doesn't have to sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of being patient with others. that might be why i enjoyed alif more in comparison, bc it was less about women humbling themselves for the sake of a man and more about people in general humbling themselves before god. and potentially it seems jannat se aagay may go in that direction as well so i'm not losing too much hope. but then there's also the fact that umera's last drama was hum kahaan kay sachay thay and while that had a good message at the core i feel like the execution was pretty juvenile and hard to take seriously. so idk. my feelings are all over the place lololol

as for mein. truly love ayeza's styling as well! i'm kind of hesitant to invest in any more wahaj ali dramas both on account of oversaturation and also how he's sort of soured for me in the past year but zanjabeel asim did write pyaar ke sadqay and that was amazing so.. who knows! it's ary and taking up the mujhe pyaar hua tha timeslot does not spell great vibes to me but idk maybe i'm being too cynical. i feel like yunhi has risen the standard so high for me recently that i'm starting to be a lot pickier than i used to be! i never thought i'd see a drama possessive of that level of subtlety and romantic old school vibe again that you get from old ptv productions and i miss it dearly! i know yunhi has been a bit underrated compared to some of the bigger hits these days but i really want other script writers to take note that this is how they can do things rather than relying on all of the cheap drama and fanfare they normally promote. ig technically speaking neem has been following that train of thought as well, although i know people are irritated by mawra's preaching in it (i personally am not. i'm willing to let a little overidealized preaching slide if it means we get to see something refreshing and different on screen). but i hope we get more subtle dramas! or maybe i just need to look for them harder

UA is..very staunch in her views about the subject of religion and patriarchy. which, when mixed with her brilliance as a writer, turn out to be quite a sinister view because she manages to subtly and not-so-subtly sneak them in her stories and paint only them as the "right" views. she doesn't try to shake any foundations. what she says about both religion and the position of women is not favoring either the minorities or the women of current times who are trying their best to break free from the shackles of patriarchy. UA might appear to be on their side but she is not. she serves only her own purposes be it being pro-establishment through a show like Sinf e Ahan or pro-a particular sect/interpretation of the religion by the points she makes in her other dramas. which is why I like it when her stories steer clear from these particular agendas and instead focus on the more human emotions. her older shows like Daam, Malaal, Kankar, Doraha..they had far more empowered heroines and nuanced human emotions than her more popular works like Zindagi Gulzar Hai or Shehr-e-Zaat. I am seriously hoping that Jannat Say Aagay will take her back to those roots instead of this being yet another propaganda project for her which she has gotten too comfortable with nowadays. Ramsha's teaser for the show has risen my expectations although of course, I am still gonna remain cautious. filhaal toh mere giggles iss baat pe nahin ruk rahe ke I can so easily interpret the vibes of the teaser to being non-heterosexual so obviously and the fact that it's a UA show making me feel that way is just personally hella amusing to me xD the IRONYYY!

bruh when i say Wahaj didn't even register to me in his teaser for Mein while Ayeza's teaser got tattooed on my brain in the first watch only !!! there's no denying wahaj's brilliance but damn the over saturation of his work IS so clearly evident now. Zain feels like another version of Murtasim. yes yes Wahaj carries the rich guy look well, he has groomed his aura for the screen well, but like...ABHi tou issi mein dekha tha isse. and phir wohi? whereas Mubashira's aggression is completely at contrast with Ayeza's last character (Tara) so the excitement to watch what SHE has in store is so much for me. Zanjabeel Asim is a solid writer so that's sorted. Badar Mehmood is eh but kya hi kar sakte hain. i am not hyped pro max for the DRAMA itself per se but I am very intrigued by Ayeza's character and will mostly be watching for her (if I do end up following it regularly).

Yunhi..I guess I'll binge once its finished. I feel no urgency to watch that show. it's a comfort watch and I'll watch it comfortably. filhal toh Bilal ki shakal nahin bardasht horahi hai mujhse.

BLUELOCK: Thoughts

As the most hype sports anime of last year: I had to give it a chance. The show gives you a break from the "teamwork is dreamwork" mentality and lets you see a whole bunch of teenagers just going on full solo musashi mode. While I had my doubts with the first few episodes and of course, the CG models you would get to see every now and then during games- the show definitely managed to grip my attention throughout the story. I'll be honest, it did get edgy at times. I couldn't help but laugh when the characters said something like "I will crush you you donkey" or something along the lines. But it wasn't the bad kind of edgy, it was the "energetic teen" or the "hyped in the moment" kind of edgy.

Bluelock's unconventional story drive isn't the only thing it has got going for it. The manga is genuinely loved by many and while I can't get myself into sports manga, sports anime always gets my blood rushing. Megalobox, Kuroko no basuke, Haikyuu, Pingpong the animation are the ones I enjoyed a lot.

Huge cast: The huge cast of bluelock is definitely one of its problems. The more characters you get, the harder it is to make it seem interesting. But I think the anime does it justice by putting everyone on high stakes. "If you lose in Bluelock, you won't ever get to play for the Japan national team" is more than enough of a driving force for the strikers. Did I mention it's just strikers and there are no other role players whatsoever? Of course not all characters shine, but it doesn't always try to make then. Some just fail and get their dreams crushed. How simple.

Cool Protagonist: Aight now this protagonist- Isagi Yoichi can come off bland and sometimes useless. But I'll be lying if he didn't make me wanna get in the hype train he's riding on sometimes. Isagi- your typical "not good at anything but still wants to be the best" protagonist can actually get you excited without talk-no-jutsu and the power of friendship. He's a genius who plays chess while everyone else plays football in the field. While that sounds stupid- the dude is a genius and it was genuinely fun to see him trying to figure how he can be the best among best.

Great visuals: Well studio 8bits sneaky attempt at cg- well nvm it really wasn't all that sneaky. You would see the players turn into robotic figures when they were running and you couldn't help but laugh. What it does shine in is I guess the still images with very few frames? Idk what I'm talking bout I don't know much bout animation. It was the "time stops for the moment, background goes dark, monologue starts followed up by an astounding goal/strategy with clever sound effects" bits that I'm trying to talk about. Overall, pretty good animation.

Key factor - Teamwork: I have to say though, will taking away teamwork really help with the excitement of the show? It sometimes works, it sometimes doesn't work. The first round was especially frustrating when someone had to be the goalkeeper despite all of the players being strikers. I want to see how well it works in the long run but again, I miss the adrenaline rush I felt when I saw the absolute beauty of teamwork in Haikyuu and kuroko no basuke. I'm not saying teamwork doesn't exist in Bluelock, it does. But it's more of individual bursts of talent rather than the complimenting each others abilities. The author probably understood that and gave us some really good games where you could see how strikers who wanna score goals all by themselves still can compliment each other. That's why Isagi plays a huge factor on how this unconventional football anime will play out.

Overall, good show. That's the peak of it for this season. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to anybody because I don't think it has accomplished that much yet. It's really cool, and I think it's worth a watch. But placing it above some other sports anime isn't something I would do already. Let's give it time and see how well the anime flourishes.

2022: semifinal one

AAAA okay! so i watched this yesterday with my partner and didn't take notes, BUT i'm going to go through and rewatch it again (as though anyone on tumblr cares abt my thoughts) and review at least the songs. maybe not the hosting though.

Albania I hated this in studio, but I feel like it was a strong opener. Ronela performed really well live and I found myself enjoying this. Some of the camera angles were a bit weird but this wasn't nearly as bad live as I'd thought it would be; it was overall a strong performance and I'm shocked it didn't qualify. Even though I don't like this style of music.

Latvia It was still quite fun, I liked their suits and they did well live and the guy in the green had a lot of energy. But I guess I wish they'd done a little more with it. I was oddly reminded of 2014's Pollaponk (Ileana, if you're reading this, know I misspelled that as Peppaponk at first).

Lithuania I was so sure this wasn't going to qualify, and then it did! And I'm delighted! Monika and the staging team did a great job. It felt really intimate and evocative of the classic contest and the way Monika was styled and the way she moves does an incredible job of evoking that as well. Also her sparkly dress is gorgeous.

Switzerland I remain unimpressed by the song and his voice, but they did a great job staging this one, and I laughed out loud when he dropped the mic stand and it literally bounced on the floor.

Slovenia Yeah I mean it wasn't that impressive. I liked their suits.

Ukraine Expected a little better from the staging, but given the... yknow... i guess I ought to cut them some slack. I maintain that this would have qualified even without the war.

Bulgaria Yeah, no surprises here. Nice to see Stoyan there jamming out I guess.

Netherlands This song has meant a lot to me lately. I've been struggling with my mental health quite a lot. And it was beautifully sung and the Netherlands shockingly did a wonderful job with this staging - it's evocative of Sweden 2014, Belgium 2017, and of course Arcade itself. Stien looked a bit nervous onstage but honestly I would be too if I were singing about my mental health struggles to an audience of millions. Wonderful job.

Moldova Was expecting a little weirder, tbqh. But the Advahov brothers look quite happy to be there, and I LOVED the visual of using train lines to make traditional Dacian patterns.

Portugal Live vocals left a bit to be desired, but I liked the staging. This still isn't very high on my list but suddenly I wonder if this could win this year.

Croatia This NEEDED a costume change. Mia needed to rip her dress off and have a littler dress underneath. And maybe it would have been better if the whole thing were sung in Croatian, she seemed a little more invested there at the end.

Denmark It's not the best girl band ever but for Eurovision it's alright. I don't like their outfits. And honestly the disconnect between the first and second verses, how long it takes for the guitars to kick in, is probably why this didn't do so well. But once it picks up I really do enjoy it.

Austria This one just sucked lol worst performance of the night. Sorry to Sarah Z I guess. It is the thing that it is which is mediocre Euroclub, it was badly staged, and Pia sounds strained.

Iceland I'm glad they went with the nf staging. Idk, it's nice to listen to but I feel like it loses a lot live, it's very quiet and while that can be nice it's like. I don't know. Maybe I'm still stuck on that ill-advised major chord at the end. It's nice that they qualified and I'd like them to do well but I wished the song had just a little more.

Greece Her outfit is extremely Victorian ghost, I don't know what's up with the chairs onstage, I am still weirded out by these lyrics. HOWEVER. Greece made one good choice this year and that was by putting the high note clip as the recap. Definitely a smart move.

Norway Yeah. it is the thing that it is. It sure is, huh. It's fun. My girlfriend really liked it. Not really for me.

Armenia On the one hand, the all-white post-it quilt whatever staging really does not look good. On the other hand, this sort of staging worked really well for I think it was Malta 2019 - makes the stage look smaller, makes Rosa have more stage presence.

Miscellaneous Thoughts Hosts seem cutely comfortable with each other. I liked their lil hug. Even if Laura seems a little too comfy with the male hosts. I also liked the postcards! They'll probably look pretty cheap in a couple of years but for now they're cool.

With my current job I try to work hard to get the mail around in time so I can be home earlier hhh And the money I get of course. But the real hard work will come in August when I start my new education and job and I will work hard to prove to myself that I CAN do it and to learn new things and to build towards a future I like.

Love trains! Busses are nice too but can be too crowded and sometimes make me a little uncomfortable. Once went with the local small bus here (bc my dad drove it) and it was lovely! I love a good long train ride though!

I haven't really done a lot of spontaneous things recently I'm afraid. Did go out today to get new glasses unplanned! I did really need new ones it seemed... Oh and I made a fire and sat by it last night for Beltane! Hadn't super planned that and just went let's just do it!

My favourite thing about my current job is getting to know some people in my rounds, chatting with people in the streets! With my new career idk yet! Probably will be being in nature and working with it!

Okay so I though that I found my biggest mistake but I was wrong so honerable mention: going to uni to study art history. Not because of the subject, I still adore art and museums and art history, but because academic studying is NOT for me. Sure learned that. And learned not to tie my self worth to my academic accomplishments!

Actual biggest mistake was not visiting my grandpa more often when he was alive. Not properly telling him I loved him. Learned to visit my one living gran more often.... Now I just gotta do it and not regret it all when she passes.

I do believe in second chances fullheartedly. It of course depends on how the first chance got fucked, some things I can't give another chance to. But generally yeah! People change! People grow!

Oh my parents and I are all very good at having a great time doing very little. Taking things slow, chilling out. We revel in calmth. Inherited being good with kids from my dad! Inherited my honesty from my mom maybe.

SO many things to look forward about getting old! Seeing the world, meeting people, falling down and getting up! But I legit look forward to being an old lady on a porch looking at the garden. Maybe find someone to spend my life with and be there with them. Making my own family, however that may go. Growing old and not fearing people's judgement, being a weird old prune!

I think I'm just a small person with a lot to say. I surprisingly always have a lot to say. So much so that, I think I actually might launch something close to a talk show because of it.

I try not to gossip too much, because I know it's a sin. But my downfall is knowing that I will never be perfect and still striving for it.

I believe this life experience is far too vast to keep enclosing in what is my mind. Far too vast for something so simple like a journal. I romantisize a journal and then eventually fall numb to it. I become used to it and it loses it's spark and my yearning to feed it everyday.

I am so happy I met Wendy, to me she glows brightly with wisdom and love and nurturing and assureness if that is even a word. But she has truly inspired me to embrace where I currently am in life.

I felt for the longest time I was a hamster in a wheel, just constantly running trying to accomplish the next big goal. Did I graduate high school? Did I get it done in three years? Did I get my AP credits? Did I get my associates degree by the time I planned on it? I took a pause in the middle before I transferred to University. I went to real estate school but all it taught me was that I didn't want to be an agent I wanted to be an investor. It seems I am never fully satisfied at entry level things. I guess the saying is true that I am a go big or go home kind of gal.

If it was a vet I figured, I can just be a human doctor. If it's a flight attendant, I figured I can be a pilot. I am never truly satisfied with where I am, just looking for the next big thing that will gain me praise and acknowledgement. What a sad way to life your life.

2023 really did a number on me. I made it through the whole year pushing through and doing life on my terms and boy was it challenging. Just a girl, her dog and her apartment. I was in a super toxic corporate work environment that made me cry every day before going in and made me just eager to get out.
