Hiya! I just recently saw and followed your blog and I'm honestly intrigued about what you write, specifically analyzing Vertin and stuff. It made me realize what those "head to torso" voicelines actually means! It also inspires me to do a leisure analysis on the voicelines and I thought of something interesting that I'd like to share. BEWARE English isn't my main language so I hope this doesn't sound a little confusing :'D What if Insight II garments are when the characters are closer to Vertin, so that they changed their clothing after a certain amount of time being with her. What I mean is that they trusted her enough to show their true colors/acts more casual with Vertin? I'm using characters I have so: - Horropedia: He changes to a more casual clothing. Like what you would wear when you're at home. And I think the sweetest detail is him using hairclips like Blonney's, implying he's imitating her (can't forget how he also talks about Blonney/a blondie trope in one of his voicelines). It's as if he hung out with Vertin, Blonney, and the others for a long time that he felt a sense of belonging, hence he felt that it's ok for him to be a little more casual... - Eternity: THIS LADY IS WEARING A SLEEPING DRESS. Does that mean she's going around in Vertin's suitcase wearing that IDK BUT IT'S FUNNY TO THINK ABOUT. It kinda make senses because she likes watching Night Shows before bed so there's that- - A more depressing example, Cristallo: She's actually the reason why I got made this analysis. In her usual design, she's sitting with a book. Her insight II garment however, it was replaced by flowers, she has a lot of patches, more blood bags hanging, and the sad kicker is her expression is more weak specifically her eyes are more droopy. I have a theory that Vertin had hopes that Cristallo would heal under her care, but fate was cruel as Cristallo is on the verge of dying or is actually dead as time goes on. Man this sucks. /lh I wish I could analyze more but my brain juice is drying. As I'm typing this, my analysis may be flawed and more than just "changing clothes cuz we homies now" typa stuff. What do you think? :D

This is a wonderful idea! I'd HC this for sure because the idea of the crew getting more comfortable and settling into their new home gives me life. Idc if it's Canon or not, this perspective makes me happy 😤

That being said, I do think you're onto something! Even if it's not every character, we can see this in quite a few of them. Like Bkornblume showing her face ☺️

I love the energy and all and I don’t want to offend but as a Muslim girl i can tell you that it is literally haram to identify as anything other than your god given gender. Like I’m not trying to be rude and I’m glad that there a respectful supportive people out there but if you’re looking at the Quran and other islamic book you’ll find stories about how its considered haram. Accepting the islam religion means accepting everything and dedicating yourself to it you can’t just pick and choose.

I would be interested to know what other Islamic books ur talking about btw, but I'm pretty sure the quran doesn't mention being trans anywhere at all. in fact I'm pretty certain, I've read it multiple times with translation and commentary interpretations and anyway being trans wasn't really a 'known' thing back then? bcuz obviously patriarchy and gender roles n segregation blah blah was wayyyy more yk. shit I forgot the word. uhhh yk like prevalent?? ofc the quran does mention a shitton about gender roles,, so yk men r the breadwinners, women raise the kids and keep house and be good wives etc. and also remember the big important fact:: GENDER AND SEX R DIFFERENT THINGS!!! meaning technically u cant be 'born' a gender (omfg my keyboard hates me imagine a question mark here) ur born with certain genitals and society assigns u a gender based on that . sounds a bit fucked when u put it like that actually but anyway back when the quran was being revealed this wasn't a known thing cuz yk they didn't have studies on this stuff,, and yea ur probably gonna say 'but the quran came from allah and he knows everything' well the fact of the matter is he either forgot or smth idk I don't speak for God but trans people definitely exist that's a fact we know so yeah. oh I should come back to my point which was, even with the quran saying those things about what ur supposed to do based on whats in ur pants which is crazy outdated anyway it doesn't take gender ≠ sex into consideration either soo ye that's the most it could've said about being trans and that not very valid anymore rip and that's not even mentioning non-binary people

and anyway Islam is literally all about acceptance and respect and everything so idk it would probably be better if u didn't go around telling ppl they're 'literally haram' for being trans or gay or any typa queer bcuz its literally not our choice (insert question marks) believe me I would fucking love to be comfortable in my 'female' body but I cant no matter how much I try to force myself so I'm sorry dude. no one would choose to be stuck in a situation like this. personally, I believe Islam needs a super massive reformation. well not Islam exactly, but a lot of things said in the quran r outdated wildly now, while a lot of it will also always be relevant, eg. everyone being equal and yk give to the poor etc. i have absolutely nothing against Muslims (I have it against my family for being so forceful about religion - different thing) yall r super cool and ik being a Muslim girl isn't easy believe me, but genuinely seeing Muslim people around and yk, just existing in wider society outside of Islamic spaces makes me feel so proud of where I came from even if its not been the best experience. have u seen the show We are Lady Parts (question mark) its about an all female Muslim punk band and there's only six episodes I literally watched it all today but the message of it is what I'm trying to get to you. u don't have to be the perfect pious wife to be considered a 'good Muslim',, there are so many ways u can show faith. you don't have to be a big strong man who can handle all pain with ease while single-handedly providing for a family either.

post-Sk8 ep.12 thoughts

okay ngl immediate reaction was being pretty disappointed. but then i sat with it and realized that despite a couple of gripes i still had a lot of fun and sk8 was 100% worth the ride.

so first my disappointments:

it was sooo unsatisfying for Adam’s only consequence being the loss of his beef with Langa because i don’t even think that even ended up impacting him at all with the whole skating is fun again and he reconnected with Tadashi thing. this man straight up assaulted multiple people!! nearly killing them!!! also cant forget the whole i’m gonna make Langa my Eve storyline bc that was insanely creepy - but nope this man virtually got off scott free. i get that it’s supposed to be part of Langa’s character to be the better person by saving him from being alone and skating without having fun but after all he put them through he didn’t deserve it in the slightest imo.

then inspector lady??? what was the point of her character??? i guess they put her in to build up tension but then it really just fell flat without her being able to actually do anything.

and don’t get me started on my boy Tadashi :/ his relationship with Adam is so unhealthy. like i’m genuinely worried for him. blushing after being told you’re going to be someone’s dog forever? that should not be someone’s reaction to hearing that.

i’m also sad that Shadow didn’t get to end up with flower shop lady...he basically risked his life by taking that hit for her and then she just ended up with some rando. like i get that was supposed to be a comedic beat at the end but idk i just actually was disappointed lol

i guess i was mostly just unhappy with the end to Adam’s storyline but since it ended up being a solid chunk of the episode it definitely put a dent in my feelings for it

but focusing on the positives here are some things i actually very much enjoyed about episode 12:

the whole moment when Langa comes out of the zone when he grabs his skateboard and we see how Reki updated the design to say ‘FUN’ along with Langa having the vision of his dad. that was an incredibly delightful segment

Reki completely believing that Langa would get up and keep fighting; very sweet parallel

i am glad Adam lost but that was the bare minimum expectation

Langa jumping into Reki’s arms after he won the race!!! (gotta love that yoi typa beat)

the gang celebrating back at the skateboard shop. best family™️

Reki teaching his sisters how to skate :)

seeing Miya smile while in school then running ahead - felt like that was representative of him being ready to face the future now that he’s finally found people that love and support him

Reki and Langa’s “fantasy of a final race” as they skate into the sunrise (extremely cheesy i knowww but i’m a sucker for that kind of stuff)

so i mean overall not bad bc there were fs plenty of positives! but still it was definitely not the most satisfying if i’m being honest
