An Analysis on Whose Bed is Whose in the Tsumugi and Ibara Section of their Dorm

So this is a ‘discourse’ that happened like a few months ago on Twitter, and there were some great arguments made for why the two leftmost beds are Ibara’s vs Tsumugi’s. I just felt like adding my own thoughts into it very late into it all lmao.

So I also first assumed that the black bed is Ibara’s. After all, it matches the ‘Eden’ ‘Cospro’ ‘Adam’ vibe. And after all, Tsumugi has this impression of being a ‘simple’ guy to me, and perhaps would have a plant and a nice little artwork.

The fact that both of their personalities (at least outside of being an idol) and personal tastes are on the ‘understated’ side makes this debate go both ways. HOWEVER… upon further thought I realized the black bed could be NONE OTHER than Tsumugi’s. Why????

Let’s take a look at some Tsumugi cards.

And let’s make some observations about him:

- dresses in business appropriate colours of blue black/dark blue

- has a fondness for comfort (see throw blanket and overall ‘cozy’ vibes coming from this guy)

These two facts, to me, already strongly point toward the black bedroom set being Tsumugi’s.

We know that Ibara doesn’t have any sort of hobbies or strong personal tastes outside of work.

We can also look at what he said in Bogie Time about not being particular about where he sleeps (crazy:b’s old dorm that still has all their stuff in it??).

Although his and Tsumugi’s sense of style may be similar, you could even say his is more generic and plain looking in comparison.

(Translation link) His own dormmates don’t even see him that often = he doesn’t even spend TIME in the dorm that often. (I wish I could find a better quote for this, because I swear I've logged this fact into my brain for a reason but I can't remember where it's more directly stated.)

WHY would Ibara have two pillows (one large and one small at that) when he doesn't even care about the personal aesthetics or comfort the first place??

And you see, having a rather comfortable but professional looking bed set DOES align with what we can observe from TSUMUGI.

I can even refute my own statement about the bed having Adam, Cospro or Eden vibes. Adam and Eden’s image are all manufactured by Ibara. And idk I don’t think anyone in these dorms are gonna style their personal space after their agency, and it’s not like Ibara is a Cospro fanboy cuz he faces problems from the higher ups all the time.

Having determined whose bed is whose now, this only brings up more questions. Why does Ibara have a plant? Why does he have an artwork there?

My two theories are that:

1. He purposefully put some normal looking things there to stand out less. That IS something that makes sense, cuz he carefully manages his image in front of others.

2. They’re gifts from Nagisa/Hiyori/Jun/his dormmates (MAYBE even Yuzuru to make it funnier)

And that’s my thoughts about the dorm situation. I don’t know Tsumugi that well, so I could be very wrong about it all tbh!

Tl;dr - Tsumugi has the black bed and Ibara has the white bed based on their vibes.

What its like to text Bakugou

What bakugou is like to text. I see a lot of you guys just straight lying so im gonna once again tell yall the completely cannon belief i have about this. i sweat im alwayways right about this stuff on god. Source: trust me bro.

Like 99% of the time Bakugou is a dry texter. He gives simple answers and simple responses. You could give him a whole prompt that he could say 30 different things about and if he didn’t feel like texting he’d go “no.”

If hed added to gc’s he doesnt speak unless someone insults him. Thats if he doesn’t immediately leave the gc as soon as hes added.

Hes more of a grammar typer than anything. He wouldnt use texting language like ‘idk’ or ‘wya’. Hes old fashioned, he’ll type the whole sentences out. Plus, he’ll correct your grammar if you spell a word wrong. It doesn’t particularly bother him but hes an asshole.

He texts you a little bit better than others, as in most the times you at least get a response. Anyone else could count themselves extremely lucky if they got a response. He hates texting so much. He’d rather just talk to someone face to face where he can read your facial expressions.

Hes not a very tech savvy person, he doesnt worry too much about his phone. He still has the newest iphone because he broke his other phone a couple months ago during work.

And for someone with such a nice phone, he does not use it. He only uses it to text and call you, check your instagram and snapchat posts, look at articles about him, check his rank, take photos, look at photos of you, and to send nudes to you. And for someone his age, thats insane.

Worthy mention: he uses it to jerk off to your photos or earlier on in the relationship, to watch porn of girls who looked like you.

You always call him a grampa because of his weird habits. He tells you that the reason you’re so fucking stupid is because of that phone.

If something peeks his interest he will be a little more active with his texts too. Like drama or you telling him about your day. He tries to pretend not to care though. Keeping it cool.

He only uses emojis to mock you. The only emoji he really uses is the straight face emoji. He finds it so relatable.

He usually comes off extra mean in text. You never take it to heart though. You will pretend like you did just to fuck with him.

He doesnt geniunely feel so bothered by texting you. You could say its all an act. He loves seeing your dumbass texts but of course you cant know that cause he obviously cant show ANY weakness.

Curiosities of Lotus Asia ch. 35 has an Aibo in it and I'm gonna be a nerd about it.

Ok I have no idea just how many touhou fans are aware of Laika, Rinnosuke's robot dog introduced in CoLA ch35 but if you're not aware, he finds this robot and it causes all sorts of chaos and wrecks his shop, and they eventually find out its possessed by a puppy spirit. If you're at all curious, go read it on the touhou wiki if you haven't already.

How do I know for sure that it's an Aibo? Well, on top of the fact it definitely resembles one, Sumireko suggests naming it Aibo and in BAiJR Aya literally says it's an aibo. This is one of the few things she probably didn't lie about in this book bc how the hell would she otherwise even know what an aibo is TO be able to lie about it.

(Side note, the official name is just "AIBO", im not sure why she calls it AIBO buddy here, maybe bc aibo is a pun on the japanese word meaning buddy but why tack it onto the end? Idk)

Ok for those who don't know what an aibo is, it's a series of robot dogs Sony made, there were several models released between 1999-2006, and later had the ers-1000 in 2018 which is still available (and I personally have an ers-111 :3)

Ok, so, what kind of AIBO is Laika then?

This is where it gets.. confusing.

this line from sumireko would imply it's an ers-110, as it was the very first model of aibo ever released.

But.. laika doesn't look much like a 110

Ok the way she's drawn doesn't look that close to ANY real model of aibo, but the drawing makes her look more like a 210, with the (probably) white coloration, visor shape, and upturned ears.

It's also possible she doesnt resemble any model too closely to avoid copyright issues, but even then she visually resembles a 210 much more than a 110.

Other than that ch35 doesn't give us much else to determine her model, she doesn't display any particular behaviors that would indicate it, rinnosuke says her expressions can't be read implying her eye lights are non functional, and that she's completely silent. Aibos LOVE to make noise, and usually communicate through music and tones, so it's likely the animal spirit is simply pup-petting (hehe) a nonfunctional aibo body. Rinnosuke also mentions that it's begun to actually listen to him, which would imply a 210 or later (110 and 111 do not have voice recognition) if it weren't for the possibility that again, it's just the puppy controlling it.

So there's a few possibilities here.

- zun didn't depict her to be any particular model to not get smited by sony's lawyers

- she is a 110 but for whatever reason, be it a miscommunication or just zun or the artist deciding it didn't matter that much, that isn't reflected in the art

- sumireko is wrong, and she is a 210

Or maybe she's just a 110 with some cool customization, like paint and custom ear pieces. Then again, she did pass into gensokyo meaning she's been totally forgotten, and that seems less likely if someone took the time to customize her.

So now im curious. Given the evidence, what do YOU think laika is? Even if you didn't know shit about aibo before this post, hell, ESPECIALLY if you didn't, what do you think?

Personally I kinda like to think she's a 210 bc I think they're neat. Maybe even a gold 210, since the yellow tinge in the cover art makes her look like the very pale gold of the pale gold 210s. But as an existing aibo enjoyer I'm a little biased

I really hope laika gets to come back at some point, I have a little bit of hope since beast spirits as a plot point have become a lot more significant. She seems like a very good doggy :]

ok so first up is producer recs!

Syudou- syudou is the producer who directly inspired the post i made about tuning (which is im assuming why u sent this ask lol)! the way he tunes vsynths for his songs tend to be very high-pitched as well as somewhat soft and quiet, which i absolutely adore. however, his unique tuning can be pretty offputting for some people (cough cough the insane amount of hate ive seen for jackpot sad girl & usseewa voca versions cough cough). if youre looking for good, unique tuning id defo say check out his stuff if u havent! specific recs are cute na kanojo and jackpot sad girl

Guchiry- guchiry is one of my all-time favourite producers, and has some of the most unique tuning for vocaloids ive heard. guchiry also usually goes for a high-pitched sound, but it's in a very different way. honestly, the way he tunes is kind of hard for me to describe?? idk... its definitely the type of vocals that a human could never replicate (this is proven by the fact that there's almost no human covers of guchiry songs LMAO). plus the way he tunes works extremely well with the intense, fast-paced instrumentals he usually goes for. honestly you'll just have to take my word for it and check out his stuff. specific recs are vanish and orthodoxia

Ayase- ayase's miku is one of my favourites ever!!!! he, like the two producers above, opts for a tuning in a higher range. there is also a soft quality to his mikus that i think is really nice. the thing that makes his tuning really unique is the fact that he leans into the robotic-ness of vocaloid! this style of vocals works so unbelievably well with the chill, electronic style of instrumental he often uses, and makes for some incredible stuff that human vocals just cant capture. specific recs are cinema and ghost city tokyo

sasakure.uk- if you thought that ayase embraced the robotic sound that vocaloids can produce, sasakure has practically buried himself in it! i think that sasakure's work is most notable to me for the fact that (in my opinion) his instrumentals stick out more than the vocals? and not in a bad way! not at all! its just that the way he tunes his vsynths is in such a fashion that they feel like part of the instrumentals. like, instead of the music feeling like it's a vessel for the vocals, the vocals instead blend into the instrumentals in a really unique way i havent heard with many other producers? the way sasakure tunes and uses vocaloids is something so distinct, and something that can really only be done through the medium of vocal synthesizers. specific recs are amara and future eve

Hiiragi Kirai- hiiragi takes flower, a vocaloid i find already sounds pretty unique, and goes fucking crazyinsane with her!! his flower tuning is so unbelievably cool and unique, ive srsly never heard someone use her in a way like he does. he makes her voice sound intense, harsh and growly which is seriously soooo sick :D flower's harsh vocals paired with the often intense instrumentals creates a vibe that's almost impossible to replicate with human vocals (the only covers i can think of that have managed to be on par with hiiragi's originals is ado's bocca della verita & loveka). specific recs are bottom and autophagy

Maretu- 😁😁😁 do i really have to say anything here. maretu perfectly utilizes the robotic sound that miku can produce, and makes her sound incredible with the chiptune & rock instrumentals he uses!! the vibes in maretu's original songs are so fucking good and ive (afaik) yet to find a cover that's on par with his og stuff. listen, you're asking for vocaloid recs on the maretu blog, this is a given. specific recs are koukatsu and white happy

specific songs recs now yayyyy!! im just gonna list the songs and give little blurbs abt them :-)

im not sure exactly how much this counts as unique tuning, but im putting it here anyways... the way miku and meiko are tuned here are different to how ive often heard them sound before, with a bit of roughness to their voices that you can only get via a vocaloid

really cool high-pitched tuning that expertly blends miku's & kafu's vocals! the vocals also work perfectly with the spooky vibes the rest of the song has! if you like this you'd probably also like unfriendly hater, which doesnt stand out quite as much to me as being unique but is still equally as good

i fucking love this song sm... miku's vocals are so robotic (i feel like ive used that word a lot...) which works suuuuper well with the instrumental and, with my incredibly limited knowledge of kagepro, works really well for ene's character!

the sheer insanity of this song can really only work with vocals provided by a vocaloid. listen to it and try and tell me that a human's vocals could improve on this... you cant (also pls listen to the song bc its really good)

p.h is an INCREDIBLE song, and it has such wild vocals. somehow seventhlinks manages to make flower sound more unique than she usually does, and it creates such a cool vibe for the whole song!

nobody ever talks about it, but i feel like it's always important to remind y'all that the 10 episodes in which BotBots takes place in don't (usually) happen back-to-back, so here's a post about it because it's kinda fucked once you think about it. TL;DR: the implications of how much time passes in this series are terrifying and the fact that the lost bots didnt lose their minds has me rolling a little

There's gaps in time between each episode, even with the half-n-half episode format, with very few exceptions. Ep 1B, (Never) Be Yourself, takes place the very next night, right after 1A (Mall than Meets the Eye), and in episode 10 it's established at the beginning it also takes place the next night, after 9B (Shopping Brawl). Hell, Dimlit in Love and On the Bot Prom Dancefloor have a gap in time between each other-- Dimlit states it's been 6 days and 11 hours since he and Jackie started dating in OtBPD! One of my friends, @knavewoods, did the math on it, and because the earliest date mentioned in the show is February and there's a Halloween/Christmas pop-up store, they estimated that by that point the Lost Bots had been at it for 7 months at LEAST, and that by the time of the finale it'd have probably been a year and a half because of the Science Alliance episode having a beach theme to it w/ the implications of it being summertime. (Not that either of us think that the Bots know what seasons are, but it's compelling evidence!)

A year and a half. That is a LONG time to be isolated from literally everyone you've ever known and loved, and not only that but the Lost Bots are being actively BULLIED half the time. Sure, they have allies like Lady Macaron and Jackie, but like. There's no way that ISN'T insanely upsetting to any of them, ESPECIALLY Burgertron. Imagine having your girlfriend play Hot-N-Cold with you for a YEAR AND A HALF. Idk about y'all but I'd be fucked up about that too. And not only that, but the finale establishes that Spud basically had it out for BT from the start. Imagine trusting someone so much that theyre your BEST FRIEND and it turns out they hated your guts the whole time and was basically the reason everyone wanted you gone forever for a YEAR AND A HALF. I don't think i'd be able to recover from that for a while. - OK FIRST ABOUT HIM. He works for knives still but in this au his job is to cause vash suffering by 😭😭… outselling him??? Ridonkulous ik but go with it

- Knives wants him to outsell vash so vash realizes that art and human creativity is obsolete and instead help him run his tech/AI company that also focuses on helping global warming (humans suck they should die. robots go!)

- Hes apart of a band to rival Vash’s and ofc its the Gung Ho Guns; he hired them to play for him

- Tbh i think their genre isnt set in stone bc theyre purely doing this to outsell vash so I think theyd keep the core of it rock or indie but it has a lot of shifting gears, doing wtv gets the most traction

- Legato is the bassist but he knows keyboard if their keyboardist is absent

- I think legato writes most of the songs himself (to impress knives ofc this is still HIS mission afterall) and gets a lil sad and defensive if it flops LMFAO even if its just his first album; considering how Knives talked down on music Legato thought it’d be somewhat easy

- It DEFINITELY took him a while to write things that had some semblance of humanity in it tbh he had to have either another less emotionally stunted member write it or a ghost writer but he did still practice writing in his spare time since he had nothing better to do

- NOW ABOUT YALL. Ur roommates in a college dorm; if it were up to him he’d have an apartment but knives wanted him to keep an eye on vash and vash lives on campus

- He only has like one or two official rules as roommates but if ur pissing him off with sth thats not on the list he WILL let u lnow LOL

- The only rules established off rip are:

Do not touch him (no tolerance rule if u touch him without permission he WILL be out of there asap even if its a lot of trouble and will probably even idk push u or sth ignore u forever, hope and pray on ur downfall idk its hard to translate his violent tendencies to modern society without getting him arrested ok)

- You often eat together when he isnt busy tbh usually in silence but its ok its comfortable silence (to him at least)

- Ok im gonna try to say this in the least creepy way possible but like. He likes to observe you for inspiration HEAR ME OUT. Just seeing u go about ur day and since hes always in first person POV seeing someone else just… live gives him immense inspiration on what to write

- He also gets inspo from other artists and heres where u come in hehe. You are a solo artist who doesn’t show your face and your speaking voice is pretty much completely different from ur singing voice (Not like insanely different but if you heard the two separately you wouldnt really connect the dots unless ur one of those people who connect voices easily + depending on ur genre u could be using a completely different tone of voice than usual)

- Your genre is a little similar to Legato’s in the fact that although you keep your core component (Love theme IMO but hey i dont make the rules yes i doo) you change around the other moving parts such as the instruments or wtv so he listens to your music often though he never really thought it would be you; just never really thought about the possibility

- Im not gonna say hes like obsessed with your artist persona or anything but he does (as much as he would rather khs than admit it since according to Knives music is the bane of this world) greatly enjoy your music and often finds himself getting your songs stuck in his head

- Hes def a gatekeeper i mean this is the guy who can name every song in ur discography (Not saying much though since you dont post too often)

- ANYWAY u have no idea this is going on since hes prone to just listening to music in his headphones rather than showing you or blasting it for the world to hear so ur relationship is developing as normal roommates

- You often get him stuff from the college snack shack and in return he often gives u whatever he doesnt want from the dining hall (that sounds crappy but its usually good stuff like ur fave fruit or cheese and crackers or sth)

- After u become a bit closer going on trips together becomes common not like vacation but like a little drive to a department store or him taking you with him to practice/performances

- SPEAKING OF PRACTICE U work part time at a coffee shop and it has a practice room which is where he usually brings his band it sounds random but I’ve encountered a coffee place like this before ok

- Killing two birds with one stone, he gets to see you on his way in and out and he gets a quiet place to practice + Vash often brings his band here too so ig killing two birds and one afterthought with one stone

- Other GHGs (NOT greenhouse gasses. Gung ho guns) think that ur another one of his groupies probably 💀 he def has tons i fear

- He def writes songs about you or rather than about you, references how u make him feel but he is in denial and thinks feelings are embarrassing so hes just like no they just gave me inspiration

Favorite recent neymessi moment or interview in the last couple of years (excluding copa America )

I thought Leo and Ney’s reunion after Leo came back from vacationing from his WC win was such a good moment. Of course for the obvious reasons that they hadn’t interacted for a solid month or so, but I feel like I noticed a shift in the relationship when Leo came back.

Of course, pre-WC Leo and Neymar were extremely close (that’s evidenced by their extremely affectionate celebrations on the pitch every game since PSG was literally undefeated before the WC).

But once Leo came back…. idk. I feel like there was such a STRONG shift in their energy.

Initially when Leo joined PSG, it was clear that he and Neymar were close because of their Barca days, and Neymar was one of his only friends in the club (Lea and Angel too but Leo practically came for Neymar). But as the months went along, Leo got comfortable with more people, developed a strong friendship with Verratti, and Neymar was still super close to Kylian and Marquinhos.

Ofc they had their neymessi moments, but they had other friendships apart from each other that outwardly appeared to be just as strong.

But after the World Cup, Neymar was so sad (and understandably so). Ofc he wasn’t a sad sap in every training or on the field, but his attitude didn’t have the same cheerfulness as it did before.

But when Leo came back? It was interesting… I’m huge on body language, and just seeing their interaction for the first time post-WC was again interesting. Of course there was the look of “I missed you! Welcome back!” But it was SO much more that just that — on both ends too!

We all saw how Leo greeted everyone when he came back, but his greeting of Neymar was soooo different from everyone else’s. It was like the feeling of relief washed over both of them when they saw each other again. Neymar smiling the biggest he had in weeks, Leo hugging him and taking him in as he closed his eyes, their hug lingering a couple milliseconds longer than usual. AND IT’S THOSE MINUTE DETAILS THAT ARE SOOOO HUGE. You’d have to rewatch the clip to see what I’m talking about. But once you do, you can just see that feeling of relief wash over Leo. Maybe he was nervous to see Neymar again? But once he did see him, he just seemed to revert back into a really relaxed state.

And of course the photos came out afterwards, and just how they were looking at each other… I don’t know. Again, it’s all about the eyes, and you could just see it between the two of them. The feeling of being “at home” with someone.

Of course Leo quite literally felt “at home” with Argentina and winning the World Cup, but returning to Neymar seemed to bring him a sense of calmness that juxtaposed from the high-intensity celebrations post-winning. And I’m not sure about Neymar… but I think that Leo’s presence calmed him and his mind from the agony over his World Cup loss.

I feel like that whole moment when they saw each other again was encompassed by serenity. And ever since? They’ve practically been INSEPARABLE. It’s honestly insane. It’s like a month apart did a number on those two.

Before the WC, they weren’t always training partners all the time. But after their reunion, they were constantly next to each other in practice or during pre-match warmups.

I literally don’t know why their dynamic seemed to have shifted once Leo came back, but it did. Maybe it was like a nostalgicly bad remembrance of them being apart for so long after Ney left Barca?

Again, I’m not sure. But literally everyone has been saying over the past month or two that Neymar is kinda clinging onto Leo, but I also see it conversely as well. Leo is always much more subtle than Neymar, but you can catch him in trainings kind of idly staring at Neymar just to see where he is in proximity to him. Again, very subtle, but the subtleties with Leo are actually what make them the opposite. You just have to look closely.

So as a whole, that moment is definitely my favorite, because I feel like the distance and maybe somberness on Neymar’s end made them even more close than before. And it’s honestly a shame given all the transfer rumors and things that are going around right now and the fact that PSG is in a major slump.

Big Dipper - Death Grips: this song has such a good bounce to it, it makes me move no matter what, i cant help it. especially the chorus cuz ill start singing along and, well, then theres no stopping me. ill wiggle in my seat or like put some bounce in my step. which is all fun when im listening to music at home, but at work, where i mostly listen to music, i cant i have to skip the song. plus i love u songs that end with a good few minutes of noise just because, i never skip u i swear 🥺

classic j dies and goes to hell - glass beach: im fiiiinally getting around to glass beach and why didn't ANYONE say it was good? don't think ive heard the opinion that the first glass beach album is good yet. i wanted to listen to more bc of the hazel "Twinkle Park" version of the self titled song which is also very good but i put this one on this list bc it builds energy and emotion soooo well. it starts so somber but builds and builds till we're screaming about supporting each other and making a home for yourself despite despite despite.

DOGTOOTH - Tyler, The Creator: he creates once more! i always forget i had a kinda big tyler thing in high school until he releases new music. out of all his recent releases post-Flower Boy, Call Me didnt connect with me as much, but this single from the Call Me If You Get Lost "estate sale" of stuff that didnt make the album surprisingly did! it feels a little flowerboy-ish in the production but has the call me vibes of like "i can afford all these cars, buy my neighbors house, and ill still take my private plane to Switzerland for the day just cuz i was craving some nice chocolate" very braggadocio, very tyler, very good :)

Dumbass!! - Machine Girl: this song both sounds like and has similar effects as brainworms. it fuckin. got in there and made me quantifiably more insane than i was before. said brainworms make me wanna scream the lyrics and scuffle my feet and just like run into traffic and dance around the cars bc this song makes me believe i could and id be fine. i hope to fucking god they play this at the mg/100 gecs show. this song is also one of the few times ive looked up the lyrics for a machine girl song, usually content to just let the beats jar my head, and as soon as i did i couldnt get them out :) like some sort of... thought... eating... something or other idk theres probably a word for it (<-the worms are finally getting to her)

Fantastic Cat - Takako Minekawa: this song is sooooo cute, there is so much synth and whimsy to be had! unfortunately i don't know much about the artist bc this was one of the first songs i found after using Radiooooo (which u should be basically required to use if u like music and finding new music) set to Japan in the 90s, but she's part of the 'shibuya-kei' genre/subculture that was popular during that time, which sounds like an interesting topic to dive into :3 the whimsy contained in this song is almost too much tho. the melody is so sweet, that wind instrument is so silly, and the moog breakdown in the middle too is. well, its all quite fantastic.

HI 5 - Frost Children: i took too long making this post that this entry went from originally a cheeky indirect plug for their upcoming album bc i just really liked this single to just,, oh the album came out... but either way i wanted to talk about the song bc 2 me its just more proof of how exciting of a voice in hyperpop the frost children are. the bass on it is as crazy and slick as the one on the cover. this whole song just explodes with eccentricity i think ull really like it :) also check out the epic music video! its ai generated for those who'd like to know beforehand, but they use it to like. rotoscope real footage its preddy neat!

Introduce me to your family - Otoboke Beaver: i made a little post recently about Otoboke Beaver's influence on six impala's WFLYTD, and after revisiting their album, Itekoma Hits, after making that post i got this one stuck in my head for a while. the hook hooks (the main reason i had it in my head for so long), the bass is groovy, the guitars are sharp, the rage is channeled, its all here! they keep all the energy going and growing the whole time until you cant help but scream along.

こんがらがった! (Kongaragatta!/Tangled up!)- Necry Talkie: started reading the bocchi manga recently (im just past where the show ends as of now :3) and they have art at the beginning of each chapter with the kessoku band members that references visuals from like irl japanese bands and music videos which i thought was really cool! of course i had to find a collection of all the referenced songs, and what do ya know... this cute little number was in there! (if ur wondering it's the art for chapter 18 that references this song's music video :3) its such a dinky beat at first (said so so lovingly) but it evolves into a precise, energetic little jam.

One Million Dollars - 100 gecs: this fucking sonnng.. not everyones fav off 10k i know but it is for me :3 it just rattles me in such a specific way. it originated and is the only way to sate the need in my brain to hear what it was like for nic cage in that "not the bees!!!!" scene. i love it sm, but im absolutely biased from my hearing this at a gec show and falling for it right then and there. the live version and the album version are a bit different and i think the changes they made for the album make it a fuller song i just. loved the feeling of hearing this live so much. i would just search up the epic live version at terminal 5 where Laura fucking SHREDS on the guitar at the end over and over while i was waiting for the album. again, makes me very excitied to see them and machine girl soon :3

o (__*) - Hakushi Hasegawa: i dont know much about this artist but goddamn the few songs i have heard from them have made such an impression. u know a song is good when its not even dnb but uses the "yeah.. woo!" sample to keep everything going. and yeah with how crazy fucking banana bonkers jazzy and technical the drums and piano get at times it needs that tiny bit of stability at least. this song feels like the epitome of controlled chaos in the absolute best way possible.

PARTY GIRL - Angel Electronics: after rook's latest solo album came out i decided to go back and visit this collab project of hers with ash nerve i had missed at first and.... weeeeeeh ;w; this song makes me wanna cry every time. rook can obviously write some bangers but i love her more tender songs too. so many parts come together to make it just the sweetest thing. the part that stuck with me the most was the chorus, like it's sooo cute id just sing it to myself on loop bc it leads into itself so well. i wanna just keep talking about how fucking cute this song is but like George Costanza voice the love story between the party girl and the weird shy girl got to me okay?

Prime - Marnie Stern: kinda the reason im making this list hehe :3 this song was on char 'igottawin' mp3's most recent WILT (what im listening to) poast (hi char :3) and it was What Im was Listening To... too... (both of us bc of this epic animation) so here it is on MY knockoff WILT post too mwahaha hahaha! haha but seriously guys this song is quite good. it does so much with all the variations on just that one verse and i get sucked into the lyrics and the guitars. and by the fourth time im chanting this same unending verse the song is surprisingly over and i just wanna listen to it again. this one deserves a 10 hr extended version frfr

Wait and Bleed - Slipknot & 青春コンプレックス(Seishun Complex) - Kessoku Band: whats this? a double entry? ahaha yes! 😈 i would've put these songs here separately bc ive been getting into both slipknot (thank u char :3) and the actual kessoku band album, both of which are quite good on their own. but i only combine their entries here bc of this epic mashup of these two songs by the aforementioned rook blackdresses which makes me unable to sing either without thinking of the other song. like the first three chords of the bocchi theme start playing and my brain wants to scream the GOODBYEEEEEE from Wait and Bleed. the slipknot chorus melds with the kessoku band guitars soooo well. to me they are pieces from different puzzles entirely but they still fit together <3

i was watching something on youtube last night and then on the side saw a song and i was like “i have no idea who this is but ima give it a listen cause i need new music” so i click it and at first at the beginning since it was a lil slow i was like “mmmm dont think this is gonna be up my alley” so i skim some forward and right when i heard her singing, my jaw dropped, and it stayed dropped the entire rest of the song

oh my god, Pandora by Suzuna Nagihara. This type of music is typically not up my alley (like i’ll find it cool but i wouldnt download it) BUT over the course of the song, the song just got more epic and epic and im like HOLY SHIT??? with every new section. Very JRPG, Nier-like, epic, full of choruses, and the banger part is the synth bEATS that are incorporated into it which i fuckin love. 

But that’s not what captivated me. What captivated me was her VOICE. Her singing. oh my god. idek where to start. It’s so airy, breathy, and LIGHT, yet she still manages hit the stronger notes at the same time when she needs to. But even her stronger notes sound light and open. Idk if it’s the help of the mixing of the song or not but omg, just, the way she sings this song fITS SO WELL FOR THIS TYPE OF SONG AND JUST WORKS SO WELL AND IT JUST MAKES THE SONG S TIER. and i love it so much. Voice aside though, the song is just kinda insane, i love the distortion/glitch at 0:44. i think it was a great way to introduce the faster speed of the song/transition into the actual (?) song. As if the part before 0:44 was just a prologue (as she sings in the lyric) ((Though I feel like the song actually starts at 1:40))

I obviously then checked out her other stuff and she does a ton of JP song covers, and of course they’re all very good, but there are definitely certain songs that works better for her voice, cause I don’t think she’s a big belter (though she can, of course). She tends to sing best with her head voice (?), which makes me think that her cover of Kaede’s Koikaze from Cinderella Girls was one of her better covers. Not saying her other covers were bad, but Koikaze and her original song Pandora are up up up up there. Singing in a head voice/falsetto is definitely her stronger suit and more to her. 

Her regular speaking voice is also very nice :)))))))))))))))))

It’s also on the quieter side for some reason so u gotta boost ur volume, it might have been on purpose but that was a Bad choice to do that imhO. this song needs to be LOUD.

Also one last note: the part from 3:57-4:04 is so chilling cause of the way she sang it, that emotion sounded SO, SO RAW. whether she was acting or not (maybe most likely ?) it was so jaw dropping, i remember my jaw dropping more than it already dropped and breaking my floor when i got to that part for the first time.

TLDR: I love Suzuna’s Nagihara’s voice a lot, especially in her original song called Pandora, so give it a listen :)

Honestly the constant discourse about Kyman, as someone who ships it, is kinda making me want to distance myself from what used to be my OTP. People speaking ill of Kyman shippers is working on me and starting to make me worry that I'm doing something wrong by shipping it. I shouldn't care about what ppl on the internet think and I usually don't but constantly being told that I'm "supporting" something thats "abusive" or problematic is getting to me. Like dammit, I didn't even know about the discourse when I got into Kyman; I got into it by watching the show itself and it was my first SP ship but honestly if I knew that people gave a shit about it in the SP fandom I probably wouldn't have bothered. It'll always have a place in my heart but I'm getting tired of this shit 😔 Im extra emotional rn so Im not being rational here and you dont have to publish this. I know fandom shouldn't have that affect on me I'll get over it after Style vs. Kyman fight 2192943290 blows over. Idk if you're comfortable with vents sorry if I crossed a boundary here.

Fandom discourse these days is insane. Unhinged, even. The idea that anyone is more morally correct than someone else for what they ship and enjoy in fiction is absolutely ludicrous. Especially within the context of shipping fucking South Park characters.

The hard truth is that every fandom is like this now. You don't have shipping wars just arguing over what makes more sense 'in canon', but moving on to an ever-changing line of what is and isn't 'morally acceptable.' As if that's ever something the majority of people would ever agree on. (Hint: it's not!)

But there is a certain irony to see people arguing this for South Park of all things, as if we aren't all equally degenerate for enjoying such a 'problematic' show in the first place. Like... seriously. Be so serious, people. It's South Park. Everything is exaggerated for comedic effect-- including character's personalities, their actions and their relationships to one another. It's never going to be a character driven show no matter how much this fandom sometimes wishes it was. We're going to have characters who don't give a fuck about each other, literally wishing death or plotting to kill each other in one episode and then they're just going to be chilling playing video games in the next episode like nothing happened. It's episodic. That's part of the appeal. It's why it's such a sandbox.

Even if you didn't ship Kyman, their dynamic is impossible to ignore, try as some might. They say they hate each other, yet they keep hanging out. Both parties are there of their own volition. They both enjoy each other's company, and no amount of write-up's anyone can post on tumblr dot com is going to change that canon fact. They're friends.

Also-- they are just plain fun to watch, fucking hilarious and a huge appeal of the show! If someone else who watches the show doesn't like them, that's their problem. Them not liking an aspect of the show isn't going to make that part of the show any less valid and/or canon. And guess what? You're supposed to like their dynamic. It's supposed to be entertaining and captivating. How you interpret it is up to you, but there is 100% nothing wrong with watching an episode of South Park and enjoying Eric and Kyle's dynamic-- that is what you're supposed to do. So don't feel bad about it. The show is made for people to enjoy, after all. Also, it's important to keep in mind that just because you can find a dynamic appealing doesn't mean you endorse everything about it. That's such a wild and new-age fandom take. Fiction is an escape-- a safe space to explore unrealistic relationships and unrealistic characters. You're allowed to like fucked up things in fiction. You're allowed to like stuff in fiction you'd find repulsive or abhorrent in real life.

I think I can speak for a good chunk of the fandom when I say, I'd fucking hate Eric Cartman in real life. Hell, I'd probably hate Kyle, too. I have a lot of favourite characters from different fandoms I'd probably hate in real life. They're fun because they're fictional and it's different from real life. If I wanted to read about stuff that happens in real life, I wouldn't be here.

In the end, anon, fandom is supposed to be fun. To me it's just fun to take these silly little egg construction paper kids, draw 'em as anime characters, and give 'em some angst. It's fun! There's so much to do with them! They're soooo dynamic!

But if you're not having fun-- if you're stressing-- there's nothing wrong with taking a step back for your own mental well-being. I'm not about to tell you your feelings are invalid, because I know how any internet discourse, no matter how trivial or silly it may seem, can still stress you out. If you're constantly being told you're morally corrupt or problematic, it can take a toll on you-- even if you know you're not. The truth is you're never going to agree with everyone on the internet, and people will weaponize something as trivial as a South Park ship to make them feel better about their ship while also making you feel worse about your ship.

Anyways, when it comes to stepping back, I think there's a few ways you could go about this;

You could disengage with the social part of the fandom-- focus on the show itself, maybe just hunker down with some fanfics.

If you'd like to remain active on social medias, I think it wouldn't hurt to start blocking liberally. Anyone who has anything along the lines of 'Kymans DNI' in their profile, just block right away. You don't want to see their opinion, anyways. You're never going to convince them otherwise.

If you have a few close friends, I recommend sticking close in a small private discord server where you can discuss your headcanons and gossip in private. It's much more liberating than trying to get involved in any of the insane discourse that plagues both here and Twitter.

i could eat tuna out of the can every single day if it wasn't for the mercury. seriously I love it you don't have to get out any tupperware and you can recycle the can when you're done. so you can feel like a GOOD PERSON doing GOOD in the world even though you're like gobbling down essentially cat food over the saucencrusted stove in your slovenly sweatpants in your uncared for apartment that you pay way too much fucking money for (but you don't really have the upfront cash that it would take to like move and also you would rather be in credit card debt than live with a roommate at this point). i have discovered recently that shredded slow cooked chicken breast is a nice alternative to exceeding your mercury allotment, though it does, rather unfortunately, require Tupperware. I usually just pluck little pinches of chicken shreds right out of the container in the fridge and drop it in my mouth like grated cheddar.

i am doing exactly this when you call. i feel like kendall jenner the week before the victorias secret fashion show, where she only eats like boiled chicken breast and cries a lot. "cccheay" I say. "what" you say. "sorry im just chewing." the chicken is stringy and kind of styrofoamy. it's getting packed down into a tacky fibrous ball into one of my back molars. youre just talking about your day and i want to pay attention, i do, but i just keep watching this insta reel montage of like 30 peoples reactions to this girl i VAGUELY knew from boston's pregnancy announcement. the reel is just like unrelenting clip after clip after clip of her like having drinks with another couple and passing them an "auntie & uncle" keychain or like her sitting on a couch with a couple of girls who open a card and start crying or her watching her father unroll a worlds best grandpa T shirt. all of the clips are overlayed with this insane song called moments to memories and there's no original audio, just exceedingly ordinary absolute amazement on each of their faces. i guess her husband like secretly filmed them all.

i guess i bring all this up because i have this girls desk, which like isnt that weird but i can't stop thinking about it. im staring at it right now, the desk, as im eating these dry chicken shreds with my fingers and you are on the phone talking about your day. all of the books i was supposed to read but didn't are sitting on top of this pregnant girls ikea desk that's in my living room but also in my bedroom since i live in a studio, and there's only one working hinge left on the little desk cabinet and i think the inside is stuffed with old magazines, but the thought of opening it to even see what's in there makes me nauseous. this girl was dating the roommate of my ex, which is how I met her, back when I was still dating my ex. and then when she and her bf, my exes roommate, you get it- so when they moved in together she had to get rid of all her like college era slovenly ikea furniture so she gave it to me for free. i think my boyfriend and i screamed at each other when we got it stuck at an angle in the bend of the staircase trying to lug it up to my 3rd floor apartment.

anyway the girl was nice but incredibly ordinary and just kind of unexciting. she asked me what highlighter i used no less than 6 times. for whatever reason i am currently convinced that she despises me and has told everyone we ever mutually knew that im an evil lying cunt with weird pussy lips. even though in reality i don't think she even remembers me, which infuriates me even more, so i like her post and then go through her profile and like the one before just so she's reminded that I exist.

i also cannot for the life of me remember if she's adopted or not, idk there was something weird at one point she had said about her parents, but this was in the middle of covid when i knew her so it could also have been that her parents are just old. it was either really old or adopted. so I find her wedding photos on her page and im just zooming in and out with my sticky chickeny fingers comparing her nose to her "dad's" nose and idk for the life of me i can't figure it out

this is mostly for @skygayzer whos writing kadokura into something, but i guess i might as well post it. please be warned that this is a horrible horrible man

appearance/mannerisms

average height or below, but taller than sato. does work out pretty regularly, im imagining like kickboxing or something, but hes nowhere near as fit or starved as he was in his mercenary days. basically an impressive body for a businessman and no better than that. good shoulders, fairly thin, no six pack in sight.

hes handsome and charming. a little bit lined up, especially smile lines and around his eyes. the vibes are like.... a 35-year-old, but whos been a lil toasted. a lil scorched and dried up.

smiles easily and often, expressive face and body.

Jaw Line Of The Ages

in the later timeline, probably does have a bit of grey hair but dyes it. hair slightly wavy but he keeps it pretty short

well dressed but not flashy. hes a businessman, you got your white shirt, your boring dark grey two-piece suit or whatever, some kinda tie, idk

he often fidgets with his arms and legs or stuff he has in his pockets (gun, screwdriver, cigarettes). but is also capable of sitting perfectly still and being or pretending to be relaxed. a bit of an oral fixation and will chew on objects or eat hard candy occasionally

basic life stuff/habits

lets start with the root issue: hes a total nihilist. he doesnt believe that anything matters and hes just out to have a good time as long as he can.

all of this does make him miserable on a fundamental level but hes Very skilled at pushing those feelings away and distracting himself with work and pleasure.

no fear of death, little self-preservation instinct. but also excited by competence so if hes like attacked or whatever hes not gonna just lie down and die.

lives in sapporo, i think he probably grew up there too. has a mansion outside the city. also has apartments in tokyo and osaka bc hes there often for work. also has a property in the county outside tokyo, in the forest, where he can Deal With Stuff Quietly (like probelmatic people etc.). fun fact thats where [y0 spoilers] nishiki brought kiryu in the car. that was the driveway to kadokura’s Dirty Tricks House

hes pretty good at operating on little sleep, but actually keeps a fairly regular and sane sleeping schedule. say 6-7 hours a night except when hes doing insane thing or working late for some deadline or important deal. may use substnces to supplement sleep where necessary.

drinks alcohol on the regular but in moderation. certified Absinthe EnjoyerTM but likes other stuff too, not too picky. does sometimes get insanely intoxicated but its usually on purpose. overall he has control over his drinking habits though they arent exactly healthy

does smoke, but not a huge amount. like once or twice a day, sometimes less.

at least in the yakuza (but some of his legit business partners too) people mostly know whats up with him but no one makes a big deal about it bc hes influential and important. sometimes you just gotta turn a blind eye to the fact that your arms supplier is a serial killer on the side. power structures be like that.

in general hes surprisingly easygoing, like he will laugh along if someone who knows him calls him a twisted cycle path or whatever.

that said, he can be sensitive about little things, like if someone teases him regarding some minor aspect of his appearance, or doesnt respect his reputation. BLACKLISTED.

work

hes like... in charge of a weapons manufacturing company and involved with arms trade stuff idk

what does he actualy do??? uhhhhhh he goes to meetings and talks on the phone and sometimes attends conferences and shows. travels a lot. schmoozes. i guess hes supposedly involved in development a little too, always happy to get his grubby little hands on prototype weapons

his business is legit but he has tons of ties to organized crime soooo idk. hes invested in having an appearance as an upright businessman though so he tries not to screw anyone over too obviously. surprisingly reliable partner..... most of the time.

also a surprisingly good boss. despite his bad traits, hes reasonable and accommodating to his employees (both in his company and the staff at his house). would never hurt or kill any of them. generous with pay and bonuses.

has no nishida figure, because he dismisses any personal assistant when they seem to start caring too much about him. spreads the work out so he never relies too much on just one person (that’s a recipe for disaster)

relationships

ties with both the tojo clan and omi alliance. espeicllay strong ties with the hokkaido yakuza and Kitakata bc thats where hes based but yknow. hokkaidos small fry.

he likes going to parties & clubbing etc., when hes in the mood, which is often but not all the time. doesnt like tripping out or doing any psychedelic drugs but otherwise is up to try pretty much anything.

will go to hostess clubs and stuff but not interested in dating or flings

why does he go then ??? not sure, maybe he gets a thrill out of acting normal with the girls but thinking about killing them idk. generally would not kill a hostess though—too much fuss.

honestly prefers to spend most of his time at home alone, but i guess he doesnt have a lot of spare time. will cook and learn languages.

insanely good at learning languages. probably at least fluent in english, mandarin, korean, swahili, vietnamese and french. speaks english with british pronunciation lol

there have been periods where he had someone locked in his basement to torment when he felt like it. hasnt done that for awhile probably but the facilities are still there.

mostly only does recreational serial killing when hes in an extreme state of stress and doesnt have anything better to distract him.

what is better to distratct him? Stalking and fixating on an interesting person of course! Likes to sponsor/corrupt people he thinks have the potential to be excellent assassins.

fighting

hes not like a world class fighter or anything, but he is practised and brutal where necessary. soldier’s training rather than fancier martial arts.

really good marksman with a handgun. also good with machine guns. not a great sniper, but competent enough.

i think he uses one of those big brutal looking assisted-open knifes.

backstory

what was his childhood like? how did he end up so rich and powerful?? we just dont know and good luck getting him to talk about it. he wont even tell ME.

but during the mid-late 1960s at least he was a mercenary and did war crimes in the congo. probably involved in a few other conflicts closer to home but idk the details. i only put him in the congo because he worked with Roland and Van Owen tbh

I dont know if he was already rich at that point & was just mercing for fun & experience or if he hadnt yet had material succes. It Is A Mystery.

this is an excuse to go off about silent hill if youd like (im considering playing it)

(i let out the most devilish laugh upon reading this LOL)

my god i don't even know where to begin. i'll just talk about SH1 and SH2 bcuz 1. those are the two games im more familiar with (i've watched playthroughs of all games but it's been several years so my knowledge has rotted away lol) and 2. if i had to tell someone where to start playing, i'd say either SH1 or SH2, depending on how much you can tolerate old-school game jankiness (SH1 is definitely rough around the edges, but im enjoying it so far)

even though my SH posting has spoiled a lot of details, i'll try to avoid talking about the bigger spoilers here in case other ppl care about that

silent hill 1

(huge heads up: you can only control harry via tank controls. this is one of the major factors as to why a lot of players skip SH1 since tank controls are a very archaic way to control a character in a 3D space. but honestly with some time and practice, you'll learn to get used to it and maybe even appreciate the way how the game handles certain fixed camera angles to create a sense of unease)

SH1 is about a widowed father, harry mason, going on a quest to save his daughter, cheryl, after crashing the car off a cliff and into the town of silent hill, which is where cheryl wanted to go for a vacation. silent hill has been warped by a supernatural force and you must go through what's essentially a haunted version of the town and fight through monsters to find cheryl. idk how to explain more than that without spoiling the good parts, so just take my word that the reasoning behind the town's supernatural stuff is actually super tragic

there are multiple endings: good, good+, bad, bad+, and UFO. the endings are determined by which side quests you do (or lack of any side quests for the bad ending). you can only get the UFO ending after beating the game at least one time and playing on "new fear" (this is basically new game+), so if you don't have the time for that, you can just look it up on yt

silent hill 2

taking place after the events of SH1, SH2 is about a widowed man, james sunderland, who travels to silent hill after receiving a letter from his late wife, mary, where she tells him to meet her there. the place still has supernatural forces, but now it seems to be tailored to whoever is drawn to silent hill, as shown with the other characters featured in SH2. as james continues his search, both he and you gradually learn that there's something that james is repressing, and the town is trying to tear it out of him to make him face it head-on

idk if you know the ending of SH2 already, but in case you don't, the buildup to the big reveal is honestly pretty fucking insane (it's the one thing i wish i had no knowledge about so that i can truly play through the story blind), and it's why SH2 is usually regarded as the most popular in the series

again SH2 has multiple endings: leave, maria, in water, rebirth, dog, and UFO. instead of side quests, the first three endings are determined by certain actions you take throughout the game, they can either add or deduct points from an ending point system, and your final count will determine the ending. rebirth, dog, and UFO can only be unlocked after beating the game at least once and playing in new game+

EDIT: oh my god i forgot to mention something crucial, if you're gonna play SH2, do NOT play the HD collection version, it's just a straight up downgrade. get the enhanced edition for PC if your computer can handle it, or just emulate it for ps2
