#I'm going to go to sleep & see how i feel tomorrow BUT#my initial thoughts were that ep9 wasn't..... the best.#i thought the pacing and cinematography and vfx were... off.#i thought both Pedro and Bella weren't at their best.#i thought the hospital stuff. stuff that was REALLY important. was rushed.#i thought they could have literally just given us 10 to 20 more min. of run time to help flesh it out... it should have been longer!!!#i thought it wasn't as emotional or done as well as the game ending#idk.#i still love the overall show.#i just thought ep 9 was a liiiiiiiiiittle.....#lackluster π«€#idk. I'll watch it again tomorrow. but...#π€·ββοΈ#.....#like sorry. but i just didn't feel the URGENCY and horror in Joel's actions at the hospital.#and like we really just said f u to having any infected around since ep5 didn't we. huh.#i DID like that joel said there were raiders at the hospital when lying to ellie tho. and that marlene didn't make it.#I've had in my notes for a long time that he should have used that as an excuse#for getting her out of there while she's still unconscious.#mmhmm#also#overall i feel like joel was acting a little nuts when trying to cheer ellie up#a little.... unhinged#it felt more forced than in the game.#and when he was comparing her to sarah...#it just didn't feel.... authentic#idkkkkkk#i missed the beat of ellie giving him sarah's photo#and them getting taken out by a smoke bomb instead of ellie almost drowning and joel freaking out over her not breathing was a little...#anticlimactic :/

You can barely tell because I'm still, you know, posting, but the amount of time I spend here has decreased massively. Most of it was just scrolling out of restlessness and not actually wanting to post something lmao.
#Tomorrow my break ends so I want to quit it entirely save for designated log-in times so I don't lose touch with the mutuals <3#I'm thinking every three days or so. We'll see.#Ok I'm going to cram as many little updates as I can in the tags so I don't get tempted to log in again after this.#I learned to prepare a new lunch (toast with cream cheese and guacamole) and it's good even with the pepper mill missing#(so only seasoned with salt and lemon). It must be even better with pepper.#I copied it from something I ordered at a cafe a few days ago--kind of proud of it.#I'm also kind of proud of the fact that even though I've never prepared vegetables before (bell pepper and onion)#I could do it just from remembering the years of watching my mum cook. Without even the intent of learning.#I just absorbed by osmosis which parts she cut off and could replicate it pretty well.#Overall even though the current situation re:life would look pretty grim from the outside for a couple of reasons#I feels miles better just from the fact that I'm not playing cards and opening Tumblr and Discord like the fridge all the time.#I'm on track to finish Midnight's Children soon and loving it. Idk what I'll read next but I'm excited for whatever it is.#And I'm almost done learning my lines. In the nick of time before our first rehearsal.#I'm also rekindling my love for classical music. And my love affair with ancient Rome is alive and well.#I also started playing chess again. I want to write... feels like i'm stuck in the hellscape that i left after covid but it's just living alone with my dad for more than a weekend
#also i've figured out what's wrong with my cat. i know i shouldn't google diagnose and i'm not a vet (much as i'd like to be)#nor is my human medical knowledge very extensive despite the degree#i also know i'm too anxious about this stuff#but i think he had a seizure#right in front of me#won't go into detail because i'll spiral if i type it out#was sat on the ground with him after that and my dad decides it's the right time to have a go at me#berating me for leaving the room every time he enters#which i did once because he was crashing plates together and i'm autistic ffs#i need to finish studying because there's nothing i can do for my cat other than watch him and make sure he doesn't fall#he's got a small cut on his noise from yesterday which i've tried to clean but he's too wiggly#was a worm in a previous life confirmed#i'm so paranoid that it's not a cut and actually just a bleeding nose#he seems happy and chill as per usual but i need to say something to someone idk what to do#my dad has lived with this cat for 10 years and still avoids referring to him or calling him by his name so that's out of the question#i won't talk to my brother about it because i'd be pushing onto him what's probably just paranoia that he really doesn't need to hear#so i'll tumblr vent. and wait for my mum to get back#should be tomorrow then i'll feel like i'm a real person again

Oh yeah also to be exact for stream purposes, average playtime from all 60 reviews is 10-12 hours, but total range is 8-15, double for a 100% playthrough. You do have to progress in the side content to progress in the main story (complete x missions/get x points/get to x rank type of deal), and you'll probably want to progress in the side content to level up since it's money-based and that's the fastest way to make money. I'm pretty sure the variance comes from getting sucked into the side content (probably not likely for your playstyle) or having trouble with the bosses at a lower level (they're apparently pretty hard this time).
It also looks like the Infinite Wealth demo is split into two (an adventure mode with the extra cutscenes and another one that's basically the demo we've seen around). Adventure mode Allegedly doesn't have proper saves at the time of writing (this was an annoyance for one reviewer so I assume it's long enough to warrant that), so it's worth taking that into account too. Anyway that's about it lol don't quote me on any of this because my brain just shut off after a certain point <3

argh...i got invited to a dinner party on 9/16. i don't know if i should decline because of rosh hashannah or not

I feel like I didn't make proper use of today. but I got several loads of laundry done and put fresh bedsheets and such on my bed. and that will have to be enough.
