It's so hard to be private with the information of whom I talk to during the day and what we talked about bc literally there's so much to gossip about if I wanted to but. #IDontWantTo not necessarily because of my moral convictions but I realized I inflate my interactions and adjust my concepts about these ppl according to this self-inflected inflation so I'm gonna be normal!!!! You know what has been making me want to pull me hair out lately? (Rant alert ⚠️.. Sorry in advance) . People asking me the following questions and making the following comments: - "Are you pregnant yet?" - "Are you having a honeymoon baby?" - "So you must be trying to have kids now that you're married." - "Oh, you just got married! You must be preparing for children now!" . It's most annoying when the SAME PEOPLE continuously ask despite my repeated answer. . "Yes, we want kids but not any time soon. We want to enjoy being married and maybe travel a bit first." . Sometimes I throw out the sassy answer of "I've only been married for like a month and a half, no need to rush things!" 🤷🏼‍♀️ . Stop assuming every woman NEEDS to start popping out children the second they get married. Stop assuming every woman WANTS children. Stop assuming things about someone you barely know. Just stop. 🛑 . What if I wanted to be pregnant and was having difficulty and you kept asking about it, how do you think that'd make me feel? What if I had been pregnant and lost the baby? What if I was still in the first trimester and didn't want people to know yet? . I just think there are better ways to start the conversation if you REALLY want to know. Perhaps start with "Do you and your husband want kids?" then the conversation can go from there. It can be an uncomfortable conversation with unnecessary pressure and judgements pushed upon me. Just my opinion on the matter. 🤷🏼‍♀️ . I understand people don't mean anything negative by it but when it becomes a DAILY question.. Not an exaggeration.. At least once per day if not more... I gotta let it out. 🙃 . Not to mention..
