ENCHANT!! Hello, hello! I've been lurking around Tumblr and seeing you on my dash once again lifted my spirits! How have you been :D?? How's ye ol' writing been treating you?

i'm doing okay and kinda great since i have a semester break, huzzah!! 🎉🎉🎉 and writing has been a bit tough but i'll be getting there with practice! tryna get better at sentence constructing.

1. What's your favorite setting you've created? For the world building asks please!! Which I'm not sure if you've already gotten this one or not? But oh well! Gimme some of your fav settings and the Vibes of them!

the Hawthorne Manor from the RCU hands fucking down.

ok for some #background, the Hawthornes are basically my version of the Belmonts from Castlevania - a dynasty of monster hunters. they're primarily concerned with the fae (and eventually by extension vampires), protecting fae and humans from each other, cataloguing and studying magic and magical creatures.

Gilly the Forest Queen™ basically adopted them as her own "family" and is the self appointed overpowered fae friend/protector of their bloodline.

their house tho. bc they've been at this for generations, every atom of their manor is infused with magic. its basically become a semi-sentient place that would be very hostile to its owners but conditionally lets them stay there and aids their endeavors (much like Gilly herself). some parts of it are sentient; their front door won't let in anyone it doesn't like, and the house is surrounded by a hedge maze that just attacks anyone who tries to cross it unless they threaten to cut it down (or happen to be gilly lol).

they do plenty of experimentation upstairs, but keep all their magic knowledge stored away in a giant crypt in their basement. gilly usually hangs out down there, hiding in the walls; you can only tell she's there if you notice eye shine in the shadows >:3.

there's also a steampunk/victorian version of this manor that exists in the port city from Evil Pirate Jesus - imagine this but it looks like a trophy hunter and a victorian mad scientist blew through it full force

most scenes play like a movie in my head, so it's hard for me to try to get it down on paper lol. a lot of the time i have to kind of script it out first to get a feel for it, then try to write a more fleshed out version later.

Hello! I am still here! Not very active though since I started a new job. Which unfortunately also means I don't have much time to write, but I'm currently chipping away at a college AU for RS (I don't know if you remember my main WIP but I'm pretty sure I'll be writing stuff for it for the rest of my life lol) and simultaneously a divergent version of that which includes a murder plot.

Lark's stories are on hold mainly because I need to develop some decent plots and do a lot of world-building, which aren't my area of strength. 😅 But I'm most interested in the one aesthetically inspired by Shadow of the Colossus. He starts off in the desert and goes in search of his father. I love the setting for this story because of all the megafauna and not-so-extinct animals (and the sentient colossal stone beings, of course).

I'm happy to see you on my dash again too! I saw your camp nano intro and "Icarus" and I remembered 👀

Well since I'm thinking of Tegan Mahar these days, she's the OC I'm picking.

One of Tegan's best memories is nailing a performance of a soliqouy (???) she memorized back in college. It'd been nervewracking but it went well. She got high grades for that.

Then a night with her work friend group. They went out to a restaurant to eat foods from different nationalities. Then they proceeded to a bowling alley, where they had a blast. She thinks of those memories fondly. She got a bowling shirt to go with it. And yeah, she wears it from time to time. ^-^

I like how you can see my battery percentage slowly go down every time I send an ask BUT ANYWAY 54%. Describe your character's favorite possession. Where did they get it, and why are they so attached? For whichever character you choose!

for annie - it's her extremely beat up, dented and scratched to hell powder blue minivan she calls the "Vannie"

on the inside you can find a generous layer of chip dust, empty water bottles, and unpaid parking tickets :D

what u will not find is her ever using a turn signal or dealing with her check engine light. it's gonna be 2013 again in like five minutes anyway who carezzzz

We should always be adding Willow in tbh. Both because she’s great and bc I need to develop her more.

This answer is actually interesting, because if you’d asked me a couple years ago it would’ve been “Oh Ash likes overcast days and Zach likes sunny.”

BUT

When I’m actually writing, I write Ash as appreciating the sunshine warm on her face whenever she emerges from whatever library or office she’s been hidden in for hours like an antisocial vampire.

And I think maybe Zach could appreciate overcast days because they were rarer in his area, and it made doing farm work more comfortable.

As for Willow, as a merfolk, I think she’d appreciate actual rain!
