It reads very differently, imo, more like Zazie was caught up in their own plots and schemes to realize the control worm didn't work. Legato is also telling Zazie that Zazie should be afraid of Knives. Okay? Not asking if Zazie is afraid. Telling Zazie to be afraid. Like some sort of reverse "Be Not Afraid" from the bible.

Zazie's thought bubbles on page 115 are translated as "the dark hole is swallowing the poison" which reads more like knives made a black hole. given the visuals? that sounds more likely. Black holes, as a real life thing that we know about and have tried to study, are often referred to as swallowing things that pass too close. knives made a mini black hole to eat the poison from the sand worm venom. knives has consumed the dependent plants.)

the fact is, as a metatextual read, plants are nuclear reactors. independent plants are walking nuclear bombs. Nightow did this on purpose. We're meant to read them as something nuclear.

This is, as i was saying to @needle-noggins the other night when i was working on it in an attempt to get more of the alt texts written, a casual display of power. Knives is throwing a hissy fit! Knives is throwing a multi-megaton display of power because Zazie tried to take him over with the control worm. On the outside, because we figured its anywhere from 25-30 times taller than the cloud cover, it could be up to thirty seven miles

Hello! I'm quite new to the idv fandom, and I was wondering why luchinini is so popular among many? No hate or anything like that towards it, I'm just curious!

welcome. it is batshit in here be prepared. AS FOR YOUR QUESTION.... I actually don't know. for me it's the character dynamic. I think they fit together well as far as complimenting eachother. antonio is a romantic hedonist who lives to love and be loved. and luchino is. WELL. other than being a freak for reptiles. a logistical sort with a great curiosity and an even GREATER penchant for sating that curiosity. other people might have different reasons!!!!!!!!!! I just think personality wise they compliment each other well. It's popularity (i say that lightly) could honestly potentially be attributed to the fact they're both Italian. WHICH IS KIND OF FUNNY. a lot of ships are very random here anyway so I wouldn't be surprised lol

Hooray, more knife party hc shenanigans!!!

Sniper, an absolute loner, workaholic, and a son of seemingly disappointed parents (and awful biological parents) craves validation. He’s clearly skilled and strives for the best with his work and most likely doesn’t get recognized for it. I see that with “Meet the Sniper”, he really tries to sell the cool professional persona, even though he’s being paid to sit for hours and piss in jars before he takes the shot (especially after arguing with his dad on the phone). I can see other mercs not taking him as seriously as he shows to be.

Spy with his aloof, stuck-up, closed-off, and passive aggressive personality, authenticity doesn’t show easily. Even when he attempts to BE genuine (ie expiration date), it’s treated as a joke. 90% of the time he keeps sincerity to himself. I think he has the capacity to care, but nothing and no one (except for Scout’s Ma) is taking it seriously as he would like. I totally see his sincerity in his positive voice-lines.

Those two compliment each other (I can see it go in a “codependency” route lol), and they can start healing when they practice what they need. Sniper would be receptive to Spy’s compliments, because he could use some external reinforcement. In turn, Spy would be able to notice his delight, and realize that someone can appreciate his effort in unmasking the persona his profession made. Also, it would ease up the tension since he doesn’t have to suppress what he’s feeling about someone.

Funni points if it takes Sniper 3 years to realize where all Spy’s compliments are coming from, because he can be an oblivious workaholic like that. And so it forces Spy to be more overt with his compliments. Aaand it makes him want to open up more to him, so it gets challenging (hilarity ensues). AND he becomes more flirtatious so that he gets through his thick skull. Angst points if Sniper never notices or it’s all a farce and Sniper can never-ever trust anyone again or Sniper is simply not interested LEL.

Also here’s what that cropped blurb says:

Edit: I can see these two unmasking whatever persona their careers made when they get closer. As Sniper feels more confident, he’ll show off more of his suave, sax-playing side. Spy will be not only emotional, but also attuned, grounded, and warm. They’ll surprise each other as they go on together, and itll be just a whirlwind of new emotional experiences for the two. ok dont kill me for this but. i know till is textually supposed to be very gifted and ahead of his peers and all. only character who plays musical instruments etc etc. i just find it very funny that out of all the possibilities. he plays 1) the recorder- the instrument every schoolkid plays in primary school and 2) original songs on the guitar but all hes shown playing is a pop punk song with POWER CHORDS like...where is the genius....the pizzazz.... bro sjould be shredding.... bro should be pulling some polyphia shit....
