when nanami first came into the bakery you worked in, he’d expected himself to order a fresh pastry, as per usual. instead, he found himself stumbling over his words at the sight of you.
you found it cute, especially when he had given up on ordering and asked if you had any recommendations.
looking down at the display case separating you both, you tried to match a dessert - to his face. “well .. if you’re interested in trying something sweet, i could offer you one of our madeleines?” you smile, one hand resting on the other as the two of you maintained eye contact— or tried to, at least.
nanami nodded, “could you add a coffee to that, please?”
with that, nanami would consistently show up at the bakery, ordering the same thing. you’d mentioned it to your friend before, who suggested that he might be a stalker, that he wanted to study your every move. funny, a man whose suit more than likely costs more money than your rent would rather spend his time watching you. though it sounded unrealistic, it made you feel - excited. however, you remained professional, even when he complimented your hair .. which you had styled the same almost every day he’d come in. even when he’d stay until you closed the bakery, asking how your day went- or, asking you if you had been feeling well. it was sweet.
lost in your thoughts, you hadn’t noticed the man who walked into the bakery. “oh, i’m.. so sorry, sir. what can i get for you?” you rolled up your sleeves, waiting as the man examined the menu above the counter.
“i’m ordering for nanami, nanami kento. lazy sack of ass said he couldn’t make it himself.” he spoke, eyebrows furrowing as he read a text from his phone. “he wants a madeleine, whatever the hell that is.”
“and a coffee, hm?” you put your attention on fixing up his order, not paying attention to the pink-haired male typing away on his phone. once you were done, you turned around only to find out that he had vanished. “oh, very funny..” you peer over at the clock, taking your apron off since you only had a few minutes left until your shift ended. you grab nanami’s order, debating between taking it home and enjoying it yourself or, attempting to find the guy who ordered it. “i should’ve figured it was a joke .. no one orders coffee at..” you glance down at your phone, “at 5 pm!”
“sukuna’s a pain in the ass, i’m so.. sorry.”
you turned to look at the person the voice came from, a small smile creeping on your lips. there he was, tie unloosened for whatever reason, glasses resting at the top of his head — he was a perfect sight for sore eyes. “nanami..! i thought you weren’t going to make it, is everything alright?” you hold out his order, watching as he takes it from you. “you know- i’m not super pleased about your friend coming in today.”
nanami looks at you with a smile, not saying anything- just watching you talk. if any other man had done it, you might’ve called them a weirdo. but when nanami does it, it makes your heart feel warm.
“i can’t talk to you if you aren’t going to say anything back to me— can i get a thank you for not trashing your order, at least?” you folded your arms, wanting to appear more frigid. “a thank you .. or i don’t know, something you’d want to give me?” you didn’t realize how wrong that sounded- it came out of your mouth so well, saying it didn’t feel wrong.
“you’re right.. thank you.” you watched as he rubbed the back of his neck. “maybe i could do both? there’s something i’d like to give you, if you’re up for it.”
you stared at him, wondering what he meant. surely he wasn’t expecting you to follow him to his office to work on spreadsheets... right?
maybe,
just maybeeee,
he had something else in mind?
nsfw-(:3)
nanami rested his hand against your cheek, his eyes not leaving yours. “i won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to. if it’s ever too much, tell me and i’ll stop, okay?” you shook your head at his words. you had an objective, an aspiration- you needed to make this man cum.
using your hands, you took his cock out of his boxers. you stared at his length for a moment, taking it all in. he was huge, and his tip was the perfect shade, precum causing it to glisten. you felt like an artist viewing their newest paintbrush with your face being the canvas.
you started to stroke him slowly, placing your lips at his tip as some of his precum brushed against them. you heard a groan, clearly, you were doing something right. slipping some of his cock into your mouth, you removed your hands and began to move your head until you reached his base. you felt your eyes begin to burn, and soon enough a few tears would stream out of your eyes and down to your cheeks. stupidly, you dismissed it instead of coming up for air.
you continued to suck him off, mewling at the feeling of his tip hitting the back of your throat each time you sunk your head back down. the sound of his moans, and those heavenly guttural groans he made motivated you to go on. "fuck .. mm.. keep going, you're doing perfect, s’ fucking good." he moaned, tempted to place his hands on the back of your head but instead, he continued to watch you handle it yourself. you looked up at him, shyly looking back down right after you made eye contact with him.
"look at me." he spoke through a grunt, "you have nothing to be shy about, gorgeous. keep going and i'll make your face even prettier, yeah?" his muscles tensed a bit, feeling himself get closer and closer the more you sucked him off. you finally caved in and looked at him. that was enough for nanami, the sight of your innocent eyes made it easier for him to release. swiftly pulling his cock of your mouth, he jerked off a few times until you felt his warmth cover your face.
using your finger, you scooped up some of his cum and put it into your mouth. you figured that you had more of his cum on your face but that wasn’t important to you as of now.
nanami easily lifted you onto his lap, lips pressing against yours as he worked on removing your jeans. he trailed his kisses down your neck, leaving hickeys and love bites all over.
you started to move your hips against him, starting to feel impatient. it was embarrassing- but you needed him, you wanted him. “patient, aren’t we?” he hummed against your neck, effortlessly pushing your panties to the side before slipping in one of his fingers.
you winced, clasping onto his shoulder. you moaned into his ear as he added in another finger, thrusting them into you at a painfully slow pace. “nanami ..” you whispered, moving your hips.
he bit down on his lower lip, watching you attempt to satisfy yourself on his fingers. “there we go.. ride my fingers, baby. g’na make yourself cum on them, yeah?” he positioned his free hand on your waist, watching you become a mess on his fingers. “cute..” he then decided to use his thumb, applying pressure onto your clit.
that alone nearly did it for you, you continued to move your hips against his fingers until he slid them out of you. “n..nanami.” you stuttered.
nanami swapped the position you two were in, placing you on his desk with your legs spread enough, knees resting up towards your head. “i’m sorry, love .. just wanted to see you cum on my dick, not my fingers.” he leaned down, pressing his lips against yours once more, this time as a distraction. he grabbed his dick, resting his tip in between your folds. taking advantage of how wet you were, nanami found himself slowly sinking into you.
your mouth fell open, faint curse words escaping your lips as he moved his hips. you loved how he felt inside of you. the way his cock dragged within your walls, the protrusion of his veins, how well his thick cock felt stretching you out. you watched as he gently grabbed onto your right leg, placing it against his shoulder.
he pressed down onto your stomach, giving slow- but deep thrusts. you looked down, noticing a print forming in your stomach each time he completed one of his thrusts. you slid your hand down to your clit, feeling that familiar knot in your stomach. “nanami..” you let out a shaky moan, watching his free hand grab onto yours, intertwining them.
he leaned down, gently resting his forehead against yours whilst your moans mixed in perfectly with the sounds of his groans. with a few more thrusts, you were coming undone on his cock. nanami watched as you made a mess on his cock with a smile, slowing his thrusts down once his dick began to twitch. “can i cum in you.. please?”
you nodded your head, you were on an iv anyway. “yes- fuck, please cum in me.”
that’s all nanami needed to hear before stuffing you full of his cum, holding still to make sure that nothing slipped out. once he finished, he pulled out of you- watching some of his cum drip out of you.
you slowly sat up, staring at him with a flustered expression, waiting for someone to say something.
“i’d like to do this again, if you don’t mind.” he gave you a smile, reaching for your clothes before his own. “oh, and of course i’d like to take you out to one of my favorite restaurants sometime, too.”
you rolled your eyes, playfully smacking his arm. “i’d like that too, kento.”

john price x f!reader thing. unedited. ~600 words.
john price finds a dent in the driver’s door and a note tucked under a wiper.
sorry i can’t afford to pay, please forgive me x
and he’s angry, of course. who wouldn’t be? piece of shit. then he registers the looping handwriting and the little heart in the corner. interesting. he pulls the cctv. lo and behold, there she is. the culprit. some stumbling drunk buffoon.
~~
you probably shouldn’t have nabbed an e-scooter when you were three sheets to the wind, but you did, and fuck, you’re paying for it. you genuinely feel bad about the dent you left in the parked car last night, but you think a broken wrist and three stitches in your lip is more than enough punishment, thanks. you groan, remembering how you tossed the scooter into a bush and hiked a few streets away before calling 999. having to clock in for an opening shift added insult to injury.
~~
he imagines it’s rough going, working an espresso machine with a busted wrist. he supposes the manager didn’t want her as the cashier given the lip. pity, the swelling and stitches aside, she’s quite cute. but serves her right.
he wonders how she’ll react when he picks up his coffee and procures the printed still of her face, clear as day, fleeing from the scene of the crime.
he should feel bad, considering her injuries and what a barista job pays, but. it’s the principle of the thing.
“rough night?” he asks, hovering at the end of the bar.
“huh? oh, yeah. could say that,” she smiles tiredly. it’s a little strained, but still warm. “pity partied too hard.”
john’s smirk flattens. “pity party?”
“yeah,” she shrugs. “series of unfortunate events.”
like running into my car?
“what, bad date?” he jokes carefully, hiding behind a friendly grin.
“ha, guess so. it was supposed to be an anniversary dinner.” she explains dryly, looking all the more defeated as she tamps the grounds.
“supposed to be?”
she glances up, locking in the portafilter with a crank of her good arm. she finally looks a little suspicious of him. smart. “yeah.”
“i don’t mean to pry. you just seem like you could use a vent.” solid recovery.
it works. she considers a moment, shrugs again, and nods as she pulls the shot. “guess so,” she licks her lip and looks back, evidently deeming him harmless. not smart.
“found out he was cheating, called him on it, and he stormed out. after we ordered.”
that’s. that’s not what he expected. but it stirs something oddly protective. john’s a bit old-fashioned, he’s the first to admit it, so to hear about a man carrying himself so poorly? a man running around on a pretty thing like her?
it doesn’t sit well with him. car be damned.
“so how’d you…” he prompts, nodding at the cast.
“oh, yeah, we ordered some fancy wine. i drank most of the bottle alone, sobbing,” she cracks a self-deprecating smile and it dislodges something in his chest. “but the server didn’t charge me for dessert. i, uh, fell on my way home.”
crashed. you crashed into my car.
“sounds terrible.”
“it was. the whole night was. anyway.” she pauses to slide a pen from her apron to write on the cup. “americano to go?” she asks, pushing the drink over the counter, eyes floating to the next order.
john spots the same little heart, the looping letters. he looks back at her, plugging along despite the clear heartache and injuries. he sighs, crumpling the print out in his pocket.
“think i’ll have it to stay, actually,” he mumbles, knowing she doesn’t hear him as she makes the next drink.
he camps out at a table where he can watch her. there’s a dent in his car, but he’s decided there’s a barista-sized hole in his life.

family line - luke danes
Tumblr media
luke danes x fem!reader
summary: things get a little complicated when your boyfriends nephew comes to stay with him
warnings: smoking, family trouble, a bit of angst, mention of cheating but it isn’t happening?, language, readers parents are 💀
word count: 3k (this was supposed to be short)
as you woke up in bed, you rolled over to find luke’s side of the bed empty, and squinted at the clock on his nightstand; you’d slept in.
“oh crap,” you hurried to get dressed and presentable before heading downstairs to work. as you walked in, you noticed luke was on the phone, and he didn’t sound too happy with whoever he was talking to. lorelai was behind the counter grabbing donuts and putting them in a bag, while a group of boy scouts waited in line.
“okay fine,” he said loudly. “do what you want- make the arrangements. now i’m working, we’ll finish this later!” he hung up the phone with a clang.
“is everything okay?” lorelai asked, and you gave luke a worried look as you tied an apron around your waist.
“do either of you have a sister?” he asked.
“uhm, no.”
“no,” you agreed. in the six months you had been with luke, family had never really come up as a topic of dicussion; and that was more than okay with you.
“i do!” one of the boy scouts piped up.
“you have my sympathies,” luke sighed, and disappeared into the back.
“here, i’ll ring you through,” you offered to lorelai, who happily cut in front of the line.
“do you know what that was all about?” she asked, and you shook your head.
“no idea,” you answered honestly, telling her the total for the donuts as rory pestered her to hurry up.
after helping the boy scouts order and pay for their food, you went to find luke, who was sitting in the storage room organizing cans on the shelf.
“hey, sorry i was late,” you said softy.
“that’s okay, it was quiet this morning. i thought i’d let you sleep in,” he replied.
“when is it your turn to sleep in?” you teased.
“never.”
“that’s what i thought,” you sighed. “i take it that wasn’t a customer calling to place an order?”
“no,” he sighed. “it was my sister. her son - jess, my nephew is gonna stay with me for a while.”
“is your sister okay?”
“define okay,” he replied, and you gave him a look. “nothing happened to her, she just can’t control him anymore. he’s getting into trouble and she’s given up taking care of him, so she’s sending him here.”
“i see,” you nodded.
“you’re mad i didn’t ask you,” he suggested, and you shook your head.
“no, luke of course not. he’s your family, and it’s your apartment not mine,” you disagreed. “i think it’s nice that you want to help him, and your sister.”
“but?”
“but what?” you asked.
“there’s a but,” he insisted, and you sighed.
“but,” you exaggerated, raising an eyebrow. “are you sure you’re ready for this kind of responsibility?”
“you don’t think i can do it?” he asked, stopping his shelf organizing to look at you.
“it’s not that i don’t think you can, of course i do. i just - think it might be a little more difficult than you’re expecting, thats all. so if you need any help-“
“i’ll be fine,” he insisted.
“okay.”
“but thank you,” he added, kissing your forehead softly, before walking back out to help a customer who’d been ringing the service bell.
“you better be on fire or else calm down; i’m on my way!” he called, and the ringing stopped.
you sighed, wondering if luke knew what he was getting himself into.
you only worked half days at the diner so you decided to give luke some space and go back to your house for a while, tidying up a bit since you’d been at luke’s the night before.
flopping down on the couch, you scrolled through the tv channels looking for something to watch, but failed to find anything that interested you.
after making some lunch and doing some chores around the house, you went out to buy some groceries and stopped by the diner to see how luke was doing just after dinner.
“hey,” you smiled, the bell above the door altering him to your presence.
“hey, back already?”
“i’m just passing by. i’m going to the grocery store - do you need me to grab anything for you while i’m there?” you asked, but he shook his head.
“nah i think i got everything all stocked up earlier.”
“is he here already?” you asked.
“yeah, i picked him up from the bus stop an hour ago. you might run into him while you’re out and about.”
“he went out already?” you asked.
“yeah, i think he wanted to uh… see the town,” luke sounded unsure.
“honey-“
“it’s fine, i’m sure he just needs some time to get used to being here. that’s all.”
“you’re right,” you agreed. “not to go into the gorey details but i’ve been in his place before and it’s not easy. no matter how great the person you’re staying with is,” you held his hand on the counter for a second, and he looked like he wanted to ask what you meant, but just smiled instead.
“thanks. i’ll see you later?”
“i was thinking i’d give you guys some space - let him settle in on his own for at least the first night. i’ll see you tomorrow though?” you offered, and he nodded in agreement.
your mind was distracted as you shopped for a few things at the store; luke’s nephew being in town was bringing up some memories that you’d spent years trying to forget. memories of your own adolescence. you just hoped things were easier for luke and jess than they had been for you.
it was nearly eleven at night when there was a knock on the door. after a quick glance through the window, you opened the door to see luke standing there.
“hey - what’s going on is everything okay?”
“uh yeah, sure,” he replied, walking past you and into the house, and you shut the door, walking into the living room to find him sitting on the couch.
“luke?”
“yeah.”
“shouldn’t you be at home with jess? i thought you guys were going to hang out?”
“yeah, uh he went out.”
“he went out?”
“yeah. i think i scared him off,” he sighed, and you took a seat next to him, placing a hand reassuringly on his knee.
“what happened?”
“nothing - lorelai invited me to bring him by for dinner tomorrow, so he can meet her and rory, and he asked if i wanted to play poker and then left,” he shrugged.
“ahh i see.”
“see what?” he asked, and you sighed.
“when i was 17, i got into a lot of trouble - like jess. my parents - may they rot in hell - were assholes who hated me and sent me to live with my aunt. lovely woman - had no idea what to do with me.”
“you’re saying i have no idea what i’m doing?”
“i’m saying, it doesn’t matter if you do everything right, sometimes a kid like that has to decide to come around on their own.”
“why didn’t you ever tell me your parents were dead?”
“i guess it never came up,” you shrugged.
“i’m sorry.”
“don’t be,” you shook your head. “the only thing they ever gave me was the ability to lie about where i was going and which floorboards to step on so they didn’t catch me sneaking out. i’m better off without them.”
“i had no idea.”
“i don’t really talk about them, you had no way to know. i’m okay now. my life is better than i ever imagined it could be, and i have you in part to thank for it,” you kissed his cheek softly, and he wrapped his arm around you, pulling you to lean against his side.
“well i’m glad i could be of service,” he kissed you softly.
“jess will come around, luke. just give him some time. my first night after my parents sent me away i stole a car and lived in it for a week.”
“really?” he asked, looking nervous as if he thought jess might do the same.
“no,” you laughed and he relaxed. “but it did take me a while to settle in.”
“is it a bad time to mention that i told lorelai you would come to dinner tomorrow?”
“of course i’ll be there,” you smiled, snuggling into his side after pressing another soft kiss to his lips.
“i should probably get going in case he comes back to the apartment. he doesn’t have a key.”
“you didn’t give me a key?” you asked with a slight laugh.
“he said he didn’t need one,” luke shrugged.
“ah - you have a locksmith on your hands.”
“you think he can pick locks?” he asked.
“it’s not that hard-“ you raised your hands as he shor you a disapproving glance. “kidding.”
“very funny,” he rolled his eyes playfully. “i really should get home.”
“five more minutes?” you asked, clinging to him tighter so he couldn’t leave the couch.
“okay,” he conceded. “five minutes.”
“hey, perfect timing!” lorelai greeted as you stood with luke and jess at her front door. “sookie is about to break the record for the most food served outside of the roman empire.”
“sounds great,” luke replied.
“sure does,” jess agreed. though far less sincerely. the introduction between you and luke’s nephew had gone about as well as you’d expected, but you tried to remember how you felt each time your aunt brought home someone new, so you weren’t taking anything he said too personally.
“so, come on in,” lorelai offered, and jess followed her into the house, looking at some pictures on the wall before finding his way to rory’s room after being introduced to sookie and jackson.
everyone got ready to sit down at the table, rory explaining that jess was just grabbing a soda, before you realized you didn’t have a drink and went to grab one. jess was no where to be seen when you got in there, and you stepped outside to find him on the porch with a beer bottle, which he opened with the railing of the porch.
“not hungry?” you asked, holding your hand out for him to hand over the beer, which he did with a sigh.
“not really,” he agreed.
“don’t worry - i won’t tell anyone about the beer, just don’t let lorelai catch you doing it again.”
“thanks, you’re my hero,” he said sarcastically. “you gonna make me come back inside?” he asked, and you shook your head.
“no, if i was you i wouldn’t want to be in there either to be honest,” you sighed. “lorelai is trying to be nice but all this can be … kind of overwhelming.”
“yeah,” he mumbled.
“did the party move out here and no one bothered to tell us?” lorelai asked, emerging from the kitchen door.
“i’ll be right in, i think jess wants to get some fresh air,” you said, pretty sure she wasn’t gonna like that answer.
“sookie made you a grilled cheese if you don’t like pot roast,” she offered in a sing song voice.
“wow. if id have known that-“ jess said mockingly. you knew lorelai was only trying to help luke, but you had a feeling that she was just going to make things worse.
“you really don’t want to be here,” she gathered.
“what gave you that idea?” he teased.
“look, i’ve done this whole act before - but you’ve got a really good thing here with luke, he’s a really great guy. he really wants to take care of you and make things right for you. you’re incredibly lucky to have him,” lorelai went on and on, and even you felt awkward, taking a step back to sit on the porch swing.
“lorelai-“ you started to tell her to tone it down a little, but she ignored you. you knew luke didn’t want her meddling in the situation, him being very much an ‘if i want help i’ll ask for it’ and then never ask type of guy.
“if you give this situation half a chance, you might be suprised at how good it can be, and how much you like living here, and how good it feels to have someone like luke that you can really depend on.”
“that’s funny, i thought she,” he pointed to you. “was his girlfriend. are you sleeping with him too, or something?” jess asked, and though it was inappropriate to say the least, you barely stifled a laugh. it sounded exactly like something you would’ve said when you were his age, and lorelai was definitely laying it on pretty thick about luke.
“excuse me?”
“the whole starry eyed ‘you’re so much better off, just give it a chance’ speech. you’re either really naive, or you’re getting some,” he said, before turning to you. “sorry this might be how you find out you’re getting cheated on.”
“jess, come on-“ you sighed.
“this is my house, and i choose how i get talked to in it.”
“you know, you don’t know anything about me, or my life, or my mom, or luke, so why don’t you doctor laura someone else.”
“i’m going inside, you better not have taken that beer from my fridge,” she pointed to the bottle you had set on the table, grabbing it on her way inside and slamming the porch door.
“that wasn’t very neighborly now was it?” jess mumbled, more to himself than to you, you decided.
“hey, i’m not gonna give you a speech or anything-“
“sounds like you are.”
“she means well, even if she can be a bit… much, sometimes,” you said, crossing your arms over your chest.
“if i have to hear about how perfect my life is now one more time i might go stand in traffic,” he huffed, and to your surprise, he sat down on the opposite end of the porch swing, the chain creaking as he did.
“it’s not worth your time; no one here drives fast enough to do any damage,” you offered, and he almost smiled.
jess pulled a cigarette from his pocket and lit it, earning a side eye from you, and he sighed as he handed it over. you put it out in a small puddle of water on the porch and tossed it in the bin outside the kitchen door, before you heard luke and lorelai arguing in the kitchen.
“they fight like a married couple too,” jess added, and you laughed.
“i can’t disagree with you.”
“you sure they’re not-“
“they’re not. don’t bring it up again,” you advised, and he raised his hands in mock surrender as luke stormed out of the gilmore house.
“let’s go,” he said, looking at the two of you, and jess didn’t hesitate to get up and start walking, and in that moment you were just as eager as he was to get away from the gilmore house.
“i think i should go home. call me tomorrow?”
“you’re ditching me?” luke asked.
“no, i just think me being here isn’t really helping, and maybe you guys need some time to talk. i’ll come to yours if you want me to.”
“he’s had more of a conversation with you than he has with me,” luke argued, and you sighed, looking down at your feet. “i’m sorry, you’re right. i’ll see you tomorrow.”
“okay. i love you,” you said, giving him a kiss before he hurried to catch up with jess, and you started your walk home.
for the second time that week, luke showed up at your house unexpectedly, and you opened the door to let him inside. it was your day off work so you hadn’t talked to him since last night, and he still seemed pretty upset.
“hey, what’s up?” you asked.
“i just pushed him in a lake.”
“what?” you asked, raising your eyebrows.
“jess. i got this call from taylor that he thinks jess stole the bridge money and i went for confront him and he was being impossible and i just pushed him in. this is bad,” he trailed off mumbling to himself.
“hey maybe it’s not as bad as you think it is,” you tried to calm him down. “how good of a swimmer is he?”
“he’s fine,” he sighed. “he’s wet. i just - i lost it. you’re right; i am in so far over my head i can’t even see my own hat.”
“have you tried turning it around?” you teased, and he gave you a look.
“what was I thinking why did I say yes to this?”
“because you wanted to help him.”
“raising a kid - i don’t even like kids! they’re always sticky, like they’ve got jam on their hands. even if there’s no jam in the house, somehow they’ve always got jam on their hands. i’m not the right guy to deal with that. i have no patience for jam hands!” he spiralled.
“luke, honey. slow down,” you shushed him. “he’s a teenager, not a toddler, so i think you probably don’t have to worry about the jam thing, and you can absolutely do this. but it’s going to take more than two days and an air mattress for you guys to become best friends.”
“i swear i’m gonna kill liz,” he interrupted.
“liz isn’t here. jess is, and you cannot give up on him yet. i know this is not going how you planned but imagine how he must feel.”
“maybe you could talk to him - he doesn’t hate you like he hates me.”
“he does not hate you, luke. he doesn’t know you,” you corrected. “if you want me to talk to him i can try but i don’t know how much that will help. i can’t parent him for you. he’s living under your roof not mine.”
“you’re right,” he sighed.
“as always,” you teased, kissing him on the cheek. “do you want to stay for dinner since you’re here?”
“nah i gotta go find a gnome.”
“excuse me?”
“babette’s gnome - long story.”
“i don’t want to know,” you laughed, and he pulled you into a hug.
“thank you, for talking me out of the crazy tree.”
“you’re welcome. he just needs more time to adjust - his whole life got flipped upside down overnight,” you sympathized. “and so did yours. you need to adjust to this too. just - try not to push him in anymore lakes?” you suggested as luke stepped out the door.
“no promises,” he smiled, before leaving to go find the missing gnome, and you shook your head as you closed the door behind him. at least things were never boring in stars hollow.

Part Two of Alone Together :) Christmas Cookies. Part One. AO3 Link.
Steve groans when his timer goes off again, not finished with cutting out the sugar cookies he’s working on. He would be if Nancy and Robin hadn’t taken a “quick” break over fifteen minutes ago. He wipes his hands off on a towel before finding his oven mitts amongst the mess the trio had created.
He opens the oven and pulls out the pan, setting it quickly on the stovetop as he starts to feel the heat through the worn red mitts.
“Shit,” Steve says, looking at the crispy edges of the cookies. He’s going to have to tell Nancy that she was wrong for once, and Steve was right about the time the cookies needed to be in the oven. He glances off towards the hallway they were headed towards and sighs. They won’t be back any time soon.
He leans against the counter to take a break for a moment. He wishes Eddie were here to give him an extra hand baking. Maybe not ... Steve doesn’t trust Eddie with the shapes he would make or the amount of raw cookie dough he would likely consume. At the very least, he would be good company and entertainment though. Unfortunately, Eddie was roped into providing rides for the kids other than Will and Mike who had experienced Argyle’s driving before.
Steve glances at the clock realizing that there is another hour or so until the kids are supposed to be there to decorate the cookies. He stares at the phone in his kitchen and glances down the hall again.
He needs company and help, and there’s no way he wants to walk in on whatever his ex and his best friend are doing during their break.
He sighs and trudges over to the phone quickly dialing the number he memorized but rarely used. The line rings a few times then stops as a voice says, “Munson not murder residence.”
Steve winces involuntarily at the line. He wonders what type of calls Eddie and his uncle get even though they have a new home and number. “Hey, Eddie,” Steve says. He tries to ignore the sigh of relief on the other line.
“Hey, Steve, what’s going on?” Eddie asks sounding slightly nervous.
“The lovebirds ditched me, and I need help with the sugar cookies, or they won’t be done by the time the kids are supposed to be here. And you know how that’ll go over...”
“They’ll lose their shit, yeah. I’ll be there in a few minutes, don’t worry. See you soon!” Eddie says hanging up the phone before Steve can say goodbye. Maybe he’s desperate for company too.
True to his word, a few minutes later, Eddie is ringing the doorbell and making his way inside the Harrington house. Steve feels the overwhelming urge to hug Eddie, but luckily his hands are too messy to do something stupid like that.
“Hey sugar, nice apron,” Eddie says with a big smile, hands in his pockets as he slowly makes his way to Steve.
“It’s perfectly sensible, and I’m getting you one too before you complain about getting flour on your clothes. Also, ‘sugar’?” Steve asks, digging through his drawer for an extra apron, pulling out a white lacy one he’s sure Eddie will protest.
Instead, Eddie immediately tugs it on, tongue shooting out in concentration when he ties it behind his back. When he’s done – after Steve tells him to tie it in the front and spin it around – Eddie answers, “‘Sugar’ like sugar cookies.”
Steve snorts. Of course Eddie would come up with a nickname that is also a pun. “Okay, back to business,” Steve says seriously trying to hide a smile when Eddie gives him a serious look in response, “I’ll roll out the dough as you cut out the shapes using as much dough as you can. No taste testing. After everything we’ve been through, you’re not dying of salmonella. Also, no weird shapes. Just stick to the cookie cutters.”
“What would a weird shape look like?” Eddie asks next to Steve, bumping his elbow against his.
Steve gives Eddie a look. “No dicks on gingerbread men or in general.”
Eddie frowns. “You’re no fun.” Nonetheless, Eddie actually follows his rules well, all while chatting with Steve about random things on his mind, sometimes humming a Christmas tune when a comfortable silence settles between them.
Steve notes how easily they navigate around each other, gentle touches on the waist with a soft warning, and sometimes fingertips lingering for a moment longer than necessary. Not that Steve minds at all.
Before he knows it, the last batch of cookies are going in the oven, as Eddie pulls off his apron and begins to clean up the countertops. He’s well more well behaved than Steve imagined, but really, they haven’t spent too much time alone. The idea of alone time rings through Steve’s head as he unties his apron as well.
Steve makes his way next to Eddie who quickly invades his personal space as he always does. Steve sneaks a glance at Eddie and snorts. A bit of white powder is smeared across his cheek, and Steve can’t help but do the most cliché thing and gently wipe it off Eddie’s face.
“What are you doing?” Eddie breathes out.
“Getting flour off your cheek,” Steve explains, thumb gently sweeping the flour off. His hand lingers.
“Steve…” Eddie says, voice low.
Before Steve realizes what he’s doing, he’s already pulling Eddie in.
“Steve!” Robin’s voice calls out panicked from the hall. Steve jumps back immediately. “Oh my god, we fell asleep and just woke up and noticed what time it is and... Hey, Eddie, what are you doing here?”
Eddie glances towards the clock and yells, “Leaving! Shit, Dustin will be so mad when I’m late!” Eddie presses a quick panicked kiss against Steve’s cheek and runs out of the kitchen.
The front door slams as Nancy makes her way into the kitchen rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Robin stares at Steve with raised eyebrows. “So, Eddie, huh?”
“No,” Steve firmly states. “And since you two took a lovely nap, I’m going to do the same as you two clean up and get the icing ready. Also, there’s one more batch of cookies in the oven. Enjoy!” Steve yells over his shoulder making his way to the living room couch.
“He’s totally deflecting, right?” Steve hears Robin say to Nancy.
“What did I miss?” Nancy asks thoroughly confused.
Steve drifts off in the living room to hushed whispers coming from the kitchen, and he tries not to perk up every time he hears Eddie’s name whilst trying not to think too hard about that kiss.
-:-:-:-:-:-
“Steve, hey Steve, sugar. Wake up.”
Steve groans and slowly cracks an eye open catching sight of Eddie shaking him awake. This may be the only time Steve has ever enjoyed being woken up. He sits up with a groan and asks, “What time is it?”
Eddie smiles. “It’s only been about half an hour. The kids have already all picked out their cookies, but I thought you wouldn’t mind the extra sleep.”
“You’re a perfect man. Has anyone told you that?” Steve asks until he catches sight of the devious smile growing on Eddie’s face. “I take that back. You’re horrible. A menace really.”
“Someone woke up on the wrong side of the... couch.” Steve groans in response. “Come on, big boy, let’s see what the kids have left us.”
Steve allows Eddie to help him up and might play the ‘just woke up’ card a little too heavily, but he really enjoys the feeling of Eddie wrapping his arm around his waist as he assists him to the kitchen. All of the kids and adults are too busy with their own creations to notice Steve practically clinging to Eddie’s side as they walk over to the counter section left for them.
There’s a baking sheet with what looks to be all the deformed or broken cookies occupying their area. Steve huffs, “After all that, they leave us with this. What a great sentiment.”
Eddie laughs and picks at two gingerbread men – one with the head fallen off and the other with a missing arm and broken leg. He picks up the two and puts on a strangely high-pitched voice for the left cookie missing the head, “Oh, hello there Dusty-bun. I would lose my head if it weren’t for you.”
Steve puts his head in his hands and sighs deeply.
“Get it? And look, this one with the broken leg is Dustin. It’s hilarious.” Eddie says with a laugh, continuing to make the two interact. Steve peeks through his hands and wonders how he ever agreed to this date pact thing.
After they get ahold of some icing, Eddie does a splendid job making the red icing look like blood for all the broken pieces – even for the tree and star shapes. Steve finds himself joining in after giving up on trying to make his look pretty or in any way uniform. But it pays off to have Eddie giggling at whatever messed up creation Steve decides to add to their pile.
Steve glances over at the beautiful cookies Nancy and Robin are creating, then Jonathan and Argyle’s cookies covered in green icing he assumes is in the shape of weed, the three gingerbread men El, Max, and Lucas put together, the blue and yellow cookies Will and Mike make, and Dustin and Suzie’s very... interesting icing explosion creation. He glances back at his and Eddie’s and decides he kind of likes theirs the best, but maybe that’s just because he’s biased.
“So, where are the gingerbread cookies?” Mike asks the room.
“The what?” Steve asks turning around.
“The gingerbread cookies for the gingerbread houses we’re making,” Dustin explains and sighs. “Steve, did you forget to make them?”
Steve holds his hands up. “How was I supposed to remember to make them when no one told me to in the first place?”
All the kids whine and grumble about how this is somehow Steve’s fault, and really he’s about two seconds away from kicking them all out.
“Hey! Steve went out of his way to bake all these cookies for you, and this is how you repay him? By asking for more and getting upset when someone didn’t tell him of these plans in the first place,” Eddie says effectively guilting the kids into apologizing.
Steve sighs when the mood in the room goes down. “When did you want to make these gingerbread houses?”
“Today,” Mike snips back, but one look at Eddie, and he’s mumbling an apology. Eddie really needs to teach Steve how to do that.
Steve pinches his nose then rests his hands on his hips, making a plan. “How about we do it tomorrow?” The kids and even the adults all start agreeing excitedly. “But! You will be coming here first, and helping me make the gingerbread so you can cut out the exact shapes you want for your houses, got it?”
A general groan goes around the kitchen.
“Keep it up and we’ll make you pitch in for the supplies,” Eddie warns them.
The group’s attitude spikes through the roof, unbearably thankful for Steve once again. When their fake gratitude wears off, Steve turns back to Eddie.
“Thank you for the help,” Steve says sincerely leaning slightly against Eddie’s side.
“Anytime. I was thinking maybe we could replicate the Creel house to get back at them... maybe make a little model of my old trailer after it became a gate... Oh! How about a huge house shaped like a bat?” Eddie rambles on, tongue sticking out and eyes flickering around trying to find the worst idea.
Steve laughs and nudges Eddie who stops his rambling to give Steve a blinding smile before squeezing another pipe of red frosting onto their cookies which looks suspiciously dick shaped.
“You never said I couldn’t make a dick out of frosting,” Eddie protests.
Steve’s starting to wonder how he ever would’ve made it through the holidays without him.

this is cross posted in AO3 you can find it here
hi, after i am free from academics got some juices out of my head. Just gotta make this a series cause it seems ya'll want more after The Other Variant of Her LMAO (also do ya'll want a taglist for my miguel fics? just wondering!) anyways enjoy!!
“A little moreee…”
Click.
Click.
Then silence.
“And there you have it, it won’t be noisy when you take your book reading sessions anymore.” you smiled. Wiping the beads of sweat accumulating on your forehead. You wiped your oil-covered hands on your dirty apron as you stood up from crouching for at least two hours.
“Thank you very much dear, here.”
The old lady reaches you out a small pouch, you assume inside are bolts, nuts, or if you’re lucky there might be cogs. Though you did not set your expectations too high, afterall you are working in the lower classes in Nueva York right now.
You gladly accepted the pouch and placed it in your pocket, leaving the small gloomy apartment. You carefully stepped on the creaking wooden floors of the tenement. The building itself feels like it would collapse soon enough because of the moldy walls and broken floorings.
“Jeez, how can people live in a place like this?”
In a swift, you left the tenement. A gust of smoke greeting your face.
“Urk—” you coughed, fanning the lingering dark smoke on your face, “what a way to greet.”
Sighing, you placed both of your hands inside the pockets of your jumper and walked at the side road. It was dark, but somehow the sky looks murky despite the darkness enveloping, indicating that it is night time. You looked at the side, dark red brick walls met your gaze— and a familiar vandal etched on them. A smile on your face formed, this guy will be dead when his boss finds out.
When you arrived at the shop you saw Hobie lounging, his feet on the counter not caring. When the bell rang, Hobie looked up and saw you, you gave him a knowing smile in exchange for his smirk.
“Saw a vandal across the road,” you took the pouch and placed it on the counter beside Hobie’s legs, “do you know who did it?”
“We know who dun it, mate.”
He took the pouch and poured them out, only a few bolts fell—maybe three or seven. You shrugged.
“Fixed the noisy clock of an old lady, that’s generous enough.”
“Trade?” Hobie asked, you knew that he despises things that needed payment, how ironic he is in a shop right now.
“Most likely, never asked for a payment.”
You found yourself a place to sit while Hobie took the currency back to its pouch and walked out of the counter and entered another room.
You take a look at the shop, the air is thick with the smell of oil and metal, mingling with the faint scent of burnt wires. Everywhere you look, failed inventions and half-completed projects are strewn. Workbenches are cluttered with tools of all shapes and sizes, gears and gadgets scattered in a haphazard symphony. The shelves are a maze of salvaged parts, organized chaos that Hobie alone can navigate with no troubles.
It seems that this shop alone is Hobie’s and not his boss’.
“Oi, 'ave ya found any agency where y'can work as a pilot, mate?” Hobie called you out, he threw you a larger pouch at your way. You looked inside and saw food that can last for a week.
“Huh—oh, yeah no. They said they ain’t accepting women.” you rolled your eyes, “I don’t get it, I get the same education from piloting school and I get the treatment of this? Gosh what a world to live in.”
“Fancy givin' 'em agency a bit o' bombin', do ya? Need a test subject for me new invention, I reckon.”
Casting a concerned glance his way, you couldn't help but entertain the idea of wreaking havoc on agencies that rejected you, because fuck them. However, with the dire circumstances you both found yourselves in, residing in the impoverished corners of the lower class, you knew all too well that his boss wouldn't take kindly to such reckless actions.
“I'm guessin' ya wanna, but worried 'bout me safety,” Hobie said, his eyes arched in amusement. “Ya shouldn't, mate. I do this for a livin’.”
“As much as your idea seems cool, I’m not risking it, it might just ruin my profile even more.” you groaned, “Anyways, I’ll go now. A middle class man needed some of his machinery fixed. I need to be there tomorrow.”
You stood from your sitting position, the pouch that Hobie gave you now hung on the belt of your jumper. You gave him a nod, “Thanks for the food.”
“No problem, mate,” Hobie nodded back, his arms crossed on his chest. “Oh yeah, since you're gonna be up at the topside tomorrow, 'eard there's an event goin' on, all about inventions and such. Might spark an idea to build ya own airship and pilot it someday.”
You playfully scoffed, you were never the creative type, only a pilot and fixer, “Never did that stuff.”
“I can lend ya a 'and, mate.” he gave you a charming smile, “And bomb everything.”
A soft chuckle escaped your lips as you exchanged a wave of goodbye with Hobie. Stepping out into the cool night, you found yourself surrounded by the familiar symphony of clanking machinery and the acrid scent of scattered smoke that permeated the air. The dimly lit pebble streets were alive with the steady flow of people, their shadows dancing in the flickering lamplight.
As you made your way through the bustling streets, an idea began to take shape in your mind. Hobie's mention of the upcoming event piqued your curiosity. It promised a gathering centered around inventions and technological marvels, an opportunity to witness the latest innovations firsthand.
But before indulging in the allure of the event, you needed to fix a mechanical issue for a man. The event might not be bad, you think.
As the early morning sun graced the horizon, you made the decision to take the scenic route on your way to the topside. After bidding farewell to Hobie, you ventured back to his place to freshen up. Your own humble abode lacked any sense of style, its contents consisting of plain brown jumpers and simple white dress shirts. Fortunately, Hobie possessed a keen eye for fashion, offering you the opportunity to spruce up your appearance.
But of course your style won’t disappear from you. You wore the goggles that held a sentimental value for you, it hung on your neck like a necklace. The trinkets you have from your old clothes were hung around your waist and leather belts on your corset that wrapped around your waist. You wanted to remove the corset but it was made by Hobie himself, frills designed at the seams of the belts.
“Gotta say, even though these things are proper stylish, I ain't gonna lie, they ain't worth wastin' your freedom on, tryna fit into those rubbish fashion standards. Regret havin' to unload 'em on ya, but I need this bloody shite outta my place.”
“Why is it here in the first place?”
“Dunno, mate. Just nicked it.”
“What?”
“Need a new one soon,” you slightly sucked your stomach in, “‘cause this isn’t my size at all.”
You gazed up from the midst of the tenement, feeling the gentle touch of the sun's rays on your face. If it weren't for the congested houses stacked atop one another and the crisscrossing lines of laundry hanging in the air, the people of the slums might have been able to truly appreciate the beauty of the sky above.
You found yourself climbing each stacked house, trying to reach your destination in a longer way. Gripping onto rusted iron bars and worn-out ledges, you pulled yourself up, the rough texture of the walls scraping against your palms. The sounds of the slums grew distant as you climbed higher, the air becoming crisp.
Finally, after what felt like an interminable journey, you reached the zenith of your climb. Standing atop the highest stacked house, you surveyed the topside with awe, the essence of steampunk permeating the landscape. Majestic buildings, adorned with ornate facades and intricate brass embellishments, reached towards the heavens, displaying the opulence of the higher class. The airships, resplendent in their polished metallic sheen, gracefully cut through the clouds, propelled by the power of steam and gears.
As you took in the scene, factories with towering smokestacks filled the air with billowing plumes of smoke, their relentless activity a testament to the industrious nature of this world. It was a sight that mesmerized, a stark contrast to the gritty reality you had left behind in the slums.
Breathing in deeply, you took a moment to savor the accomplishment before stepping off the last stacked house and onto the solid ground of the topside, making your way to the address the man gave you.
The streets of the middle-class district buzzed with activity as people moved about freely, unburdened by the struggles of the lower class. Cars traversed the well-maintained, cemented roads, their engines purring with a sense of efficiency. The residents donned clothing that exuded an air of cleanliness and modesty, their attire distinct from the worn and patched garments you were accustomed to. Your eyes wandered, taking in the sight of buildings occupied by tenants who enjoyed a more comfortable existence. Laughter filled the air as children played and ran with carefree abandon.
You were familiar with the streets since you lived here, once.
As you arrived at the block, you rapped on the door, the echoes of your knocks resonating through the hallway. It took a few moments, three to five rhythmic knocks, before the door swung open, revealing a middle-aged man on the other side. His face bore the marks of a life well-lived, etched with the wisdom of age, and his beard and hair had turned a distinguished shade of white. A monocle adorned his left eye, adding an air of eccentricity to his appearance. Initially, annoyance flickered across his features upon opening the door, but as his gaze fell upon you, a spark ignited in his eyes, transforming his expression into one of intrigue and curiosity.
“Ah! Yes, yes you. Come in come in.”
You thanked him after stepping aside to give you passage inside his house.
In stark contrast to Hobie's cluttered and chaotic abode, the man's living space was meticulously organized and tidy. As you stepped into the room, you couldn't help but notice the cleanliness that pervaded the air. The living room appeared recently cleaned, with everything in its rightful place, giving off an aura of order and precision.
The furniture was arranged with care, and not a single item seemed out of place. Moving towards the kitchen, you found it to be equally immaculate, with gleaming countertops and neatly arranged utensils. It was evident that the man valued a sense of cleanliness and efficiency in his living environment, reflecting his disciplined and focused nature.
"Please follow me," the man said, his tone firm and direct. The exchange of names seemed unnecessary at this moment, and you silently agreed. There was an unspoken understanding between the two of you, a shared purpose that transcended formalities.
As you followed him, he led you into a room that could easily be mistaken for a sunroom, bathed in natural light streaming through the windows. The space was adorned with an abundance of plants, their vibrant foliage filling every corner, while delicate vines cascaded gracefully from the window frames. Shelves lined the walls, filled with an array of work-in-progress inventions, each one a testament to his creative pursuits.
On his cluttered work desk, amidst the scattered tools and gears, you caught sight of a meticulously crafted golden fairy figurine. Beside it lay the blueprint, a detailed depiction of the fairy with intricate sketches and precise measurements. It was evident that this was more than just a hobby for him; it was a labor of passion and dedication.
The man noticed your curiosity directed towards the golden fairy figurine and a warm smile graced his face. "Ah, that," he said, his voice filled with affection. “It's for my daughter. She has a fondness for the enchanting creatures she reads about in fairy tale books.”
You shot your head, removing your gaze from the figurine and its blueprint, “Sorry, can’t help it.”
“No no! It’s alright.” he laughed, the tone in his voice seemed that he was glad a person liked it.
Looking back at the work desk, you said, “It’s beautiful.”
After swiftly resolving a minor issue with his engine, you took off your gloves and tucked them into your pockets. "The problem was simply a malfunctioning steam pressure valve," you explained. "It became clogged due to the buildup of debris from the steam, which can potentially cause damage to the entire steam system if left unattended."
As you untied your hair, the man stood beside you, his eyes fixed on you, eager to hear your advice. "To prevent similar issues in the future," you continued, "I highly recommend implementing a regular maintenance and cleaning routine specifically for the steam pressure valve. This will help keep it clear of any debris and ensure its proper functioning. Regular inspections and proactive cleaning will go a long way in maintaining the efficiency and longevity of your steam-powered equipment."
With your recommendation delivered, the man nodded appreciatively, understanding the importance of proactive maintenance in avoiding future complications.
“Do you work for anyone? Like an agency or something?” he asked, his curiosity piqued.
You were taken aback by his sudden question, momentarily caught off guard. “Um, no,” you replied, slightly flustered. “I'm just seeking people who need assistance. That's about it.”
The man's eyes sparkled with a glimmer of interest. “I've been searching for an apprentice to help with my work, particularly in the field of machinery,” he revealed.
You nervously chuckled, not expecting such an offer. “Oh, thank you for considering me,” you responded, a hint of uncertainty in your voice. “But I'm not actively looking for an apprenticeship or anything like that.”
Curiosity tinged his voice as he questioned your decision, “Why not? You clearly possess a talent for working with machinery.”
Your laughter fades into a soft sigh. “I appreciate your kind words, but the truth is, I just do this thing for my survival, nothing else—not my passion no.”
The man's expression softened, a hit of disappointment but still understanding the pragmatism in your response. He nodded thoughtfully, respecting your honesty. “I see,” he replied, his tone sympathetic. “Well, if circumstances ever change or you find yourself inclined towards pursuing your passion, keep in mind that there might be opportunities waiting for you.”
You offered a grateful smile, appreciating his understanding. "Thank you," you said sincerely.
With a swift stride, you left the block behind. Thoughts swirled in your mind as you navigated the bustling streets. Fixing clocks and tinkering with inventions was not your true calling. You were meant to be a pilot, soaring through the skies, witnessing the beauty of the world from above, not getting your hands dirty with someone else's worn-out contraptions.
The distant hum of airships passing overhead only served as a painful reminder of the path you yearned to tread. You had dreamed of the freedom of flight, the thrill of navigating the vast expanse of the sky, not the mundane tasks of a makeshift mechanic. But circumstances had led you to this point, and survival had become your priority.
Then you remembered what Hobie said;
“Oh yeah, since you're gonna be up at the topside tomorrow, 'eard there's an event goin' on, all about inventions and such.”
“Might spark an idea to build ya own airship and pilot it someday.”
Fuck. You don’t know what the event’s name is, Hobie never told you. A gust of wind flew past you—and a flyer smacked onto your face. You took a better look of the flyer;
Clockwork Convergence
This might be the event Hobie’s telling you, maybe.
It says in the flyer that the event is where various clockwork mechanisms and devices come together, symbolizing the convergence of intricate gears, cogs, and other mechanical components. Itrepresentsacelebrationoftheartistryand— you don’t care about those, seeing an airship close up is enough for you.
You looked at the flyer where the event will happen and coincidentally the time is today and the city center was just a few blocks away from where you are. While you were going your way to the city center, children ran past you seemingly going to where you are headed. You looked up, the city center just in front of you.
As you strolled through the event, you marveled at the diverse array of stalls showcasing the inventive creations of talented individuals. Each stall presented a unique collection of steampunk-inspired gadgets, contraptions, and marvels. You admired the intricately designed clockwork mechanisms, the mesmerizing displays of steam-powered engines, and the elegant fusion of brass, gears, and glass.
However, what truly captivated your attention were the majestic airships moored at the building docks above. Their sleek hulls and billowing sails stood as testaments to the ingenuity and ambition of their creators. The floating marvels were the epitome of steampunk engineering, combining the power of steam, the grace of aerodynamics, and the spirit of adventure. You couldn't help but imagine yourself piloting one of those magnificent vessels, gliding through the clouds with the wind in your hair.
“Excuse me.”
Apologies filled the air as you were jostled and pushed aside by the bustling workers, their attention solely focused on their tasks of carrying crates and setting up the stalls for the inventors. Amidst the chaos, you felt like a mere speck, insignificant and easily overlooked. The workers moved with a sense of urgency as they navigated through the crowd, their sights fixed on their objectives.
You found yourself weaving through the sea of workers, attempting to find a path amidst the commotion. The constant movement and hurried footsteps created a symphony of clatters and shuffles, drowning out any attempt at conversation or personal connection.
Although you felt momentarily invisible amidst the whirlwind of activity, you pressed on. Despite the occasional bumps and brushes with the workers, you remained undeterred, eager to explore the stalls, interact with inventors, and immerse yourself in the captivating world of steampunk creations.
You were focused on one goal, see the airships up close. And you need to get into the city hall to get in one of the docks.
Sneaky, you were not to be seen by the people who do rounds in the city hall. It was easy to get into the building for some reason—they should tighten the security. It took a while to find the door where the docks were, right turn left turn go straight ahead. Until your stupid ass did not notice that there was a label on top of the door saying “DOCKS”, for crying out loud, you walked past that door at least four times.
Slowly, you opened the door. Your face is now mesmerized by the beauty behold in front of you.
The airship resembles a mechanical arachnid suspended in mid-air. Its sleek, elongated body boasted a framework of intricate metalwork, reminiscent of a spider's delicate yet resilient exoskeleton. The gleaming brass exterior glimmered under the sunlight, accentuating the meticulously crafted details that adorned its surface.
The airship's enormous gas-filled compartments formed the main body, resembling the rounded abdomen of a spider, while multiple slender, articulated legs extended from its underside, providing stability and maneuverability in the air. Each leg was a marvel of engineering, a symphony of gears, pistons, and joints working in harmony to mimic the fluid movement of a spider's limbs.
At the forefront of the airship, a bridge emerged, resembling the cephalothorax of a spider, housing the captain's quarters and navigational control room. A panoramic glass dome provided an unobstructed view of the surroundings, allowing the pilot to observe the ever-changing landscape as they steered the vessel through the skies.
The airship's propulsion system consisted of powerful steam-driven engines hidden within the body, propelling it forward with controlled bursts of steam and gears. Large propellers, designed to resemble the spinning motion of spider's spinnerets, were strategically positioned at the rear, providing both forward propulsion and agile maneuvering capabilities.
“Holy mother of—”
“Excuse me?” a voice called out, just behind you. You turned around to see an old man, dressed in blue and white robes, no in particular people would wear those unless they are a keeper. And he is the keeper here in the city hall.
His eyes narrowed at you, suspicious of your appearance without a chaperone—especially what atrocity you are wearing right now that stings his eyes.
“What are you doing here? This is a private place, young lady.”
Before you could make an excuse, you felt a looming presence at your back. You turned your head to see a man in his mid-twenties, slick brown hair swept to his back, he is definitely tall—taller than you and the keeper combined.
Clad in a tailored coat of rich brown leather, embellished with brass buttons and accents, he cuts a striking figure. His stature is accentuated by the impeccable fit of his ensemble, from the finely patterned waistcoat featuring gears and cogs, to the crisp white shirt peeking out beneath. His broad shoulders proudly bear the weight of a unique projector, its brass frame intricately adorned with gears and filigree. The projector casts a soft, ethereal glow, adding an element of mystique to his presence.
Completing his look is a polished silver cane, adorned with elaborate metalwork, serving both as a stylish accessory and a hidden arsenal of miniature tools. Together, his attire and accessories speak volumes about his ingenuity, while his commanding presence leaves a lasting impression on all who encounter him.
His sharp yet cold gaze pierced through you.
“Ah! Mr. O’Hara, do not fret this woman—”
Miguel O’Hara, or O’Hara or whatever the keeper called him, raised his hand, silencing the talking man, his gaze never left you.
“What's your business here?” His voice resonated with a deep, velvety tone, each word carrying a weight that demanded attention. There was a distinct authority in his voice, a commanding presence that made it clear he was used to being listened to.
“I pilot.”
Silence.
Well that response was stupid.
Miguel's gaze intensified, his dark eyes locking onto you with a mix of confusion and amusement. His eyebrows shot up in a display of surprise, creating a distinctive arch that accentuated his intrigue. It was as if he had stumbled upon an unexpected discovery, finding amusement in the peculiar situation before him. The keeper lets out a loud gasp.
“What?! Don’t lie to the inventor, women don—”
“I never remembered telling you to speak.”
The keeper's mouth snapped shut, his initial gasp quickly stifled by a wave of apprehension. It was evident that he was wary of provoking the inventor's anger, choosing silence as the safer option. Meanwhile, Miguel's presence remained towering and commanding, his gaze fixed upon you with an intensity that made your heart skip a beat.
His dark eyes bore into yours, seemingly delving into the depths of your being. There was a flicker of amusement in his gaze, fleeting yet unmistakable. The corners of his lips hinted at a subtle upward curve, as if on the verge of a smile. But just as quickly, the expression vanished, replaced by a stoic line that etched across his face, masking his true emotions.
“You pilot?”

mags, my love!! thank you sm for your request!! ily2 🥰 sorry i went a bit off the script but i still hope you love it!
-----
When you wake in bed after falling asleep on the armchair in the living room, you know your husband made it home safely last night. Sitting up in bed, you glance over at his empty side, but when you run your hand over it, it’s warm. You smile, grabbing his button up shirt off of the floor and throwing it on yourself.
You find him cooking breakfast. He’s got sweatpants and an apron on, forgoing a shirt in your favor. Once he senses you, a lopsided smile plasters itself on his face.
“Good morning.” He says, rounding the marble island to make his way to you.
“Mhm, good morning indeed.” You say before he presses his lips to yours. In a casual display of strength, he lifts you and sits you down on top of the island. Breaking apart for air, he drops his head on your shoulder as you run your fingers through his hair.
“How was work?” You ask.
“I want to quit, and I own the company.”
“Ah, but you’re still going to go today, aren’t you?”
“Yup. But it should be a crime to be away from you.”
“I’d gladly arrest you.” He laughs.
“Sure, so would hundreds of other cops and government officials, except the ones I’m paying off.” He grabs a piece of toast and breaks off a small bite to feed to you.
“Matt, why don’t you take a day with me? We can go to the coast, just you and me.”
“As wonderful as that sounds,” he kisses you, “I do have to run the business.”
“What if I came with you today?” He tuts.
“It’s always going to be too dangerous for you to visit me, I can’t guarantee your safety in that building the way I can here. Maybe if I’m held up- and the office is empty- you could come by with dinner tonight?” You sigh.
“Fine, but you have to promise that you’ll try everything to be home before dinner, okay?”
“I’ll try everything, I promise. Now c’mon, breakfast is ready and I made tea.” You shake your head before he kisses that stupid smile off of your face.
——-
It’s now three in the afternoon and you’re bored out of your mind. Matt’s been gone since nine, and when he called you during his lunch break, it sounded like it was going to be a long night. You couldn’t be mad, at the end of the day Matt gave you an out before the two of you got serious and you fell even harder. You knew what you signed up for the second the two of you made your first public outing together. This life, as luxurious and glamorous as it seemed, was not for the faint of heart. Every night you spent without Matt was taken up by worrying if he’d even make it home. He made so many enemies in this life and it scared you.
Before you could spiral even further, you texted Matt that you loved him and ask what he wanted for dinner, unsure if he would respond because of how busy he was, and then turned on some music and began to tidy up. Matt had a bad habit of buying anything you even glanced at, which resulted in the Goodwill down the street overflowing with designer clothes. After sorting through those for a little while and creating a donate pile, you then focused on cleaning the kitchen and living room. All of your cleaning products had to be all-natural, or they’d cause Matt the world’s worst migraine because of his sensitive nose.
Once you finished with the tasks to keep you distracted, you checked the clock to see that it was now six in the evening. Checking your phone to see if Matt had texted back, you found nothing. Deciding to just stay at home and not go to Matt’s office, you raided the kitchen for ingredients for your favorite comfort pasta recipe. Turning on some music so you feel less alone in Matt’s big penthouse, you begin to sway as you pull an apron on and begin to cook.
While you’re distracted, you don't hear the front door open to reveal a tired and frustrated Matt, who wanted nothing more than to fall asleep in your arms, and when he walks through the entryway and hears you in the kitchen, singing under your breath, he can already feel your skin under his fingertips as his legs take him straight to you.
“Matty! You scared me.” You jump, startled.
“I’m sorry, bug. What’s cooking?”
“Pasta, I made a little extra if you haven’t eaten anything yet.”
“I know something else I can eat.” You smack his shoulder.
“Matthew!” He wraps his arms around you from behind you and flutters light kisses all over your cheek as he chuckles.
“I’d love some pasta.”
—--
After eating, the two of you make your way to the couch, where Matt tries to grab some contracts and run his fingers over the braille.
“No. No work at home, you’re mine now.” You snatch the paper out of his hand and toss it onto the coffee table before making your way onto his lap. Grabbing a blanket, you toss it over the two of you before settling your head on his chest.
“Alright, boss. What do you want me to do instead?” He tilts his chin down and captures your lips in a sweet, short kiss.
“Continue with that, I’m sure we’ll find something to occupy our time with.”

🔞 Just Fucking Write - Day 81 🔞
Tumblr media
Prompt: Part 2 of the YoonKook Snow White AU
Tags: Attempted murder, actual murder
Yoongi sighed as he put on the darker foundation. Guys shouldn’t wear makeup because they had to. Guys should wear makeup because they wanted to. It was the only way to hide his freakishly pale skin. He’d gotten full sleeve tattoos that went onto the tops of his hands on both arms as soon as he was old enough. His left arm was an apple tree that was slowly fading from full bloom to dying. His right arm was a phoenix swirling up from ashes. That left only his face & neck that needed to be covered daily. He’d dyed his hair a deep red, but the upkeep was a huge pain in the ass. The black seemed to insist on growing out immediately. His lip color was the hardest to control. He put a nude lipstick on to tone down the red, but it rubbed off after a few hours. Neither of his parents had looked like freaks. He wondered why he did.
“Yoon! Hurry up!” his roommate Taehyung yelled.
“Coming!” he yelled back. He sprayed on the setting spray and met Taehyung in the hall to leave for work.
“Can’t you just accept that you’re stupid pale instead of taking forever in the bathroom like a beauty queen?” Taehyung huffed.
“You’ll never get it,” Yoongi tried not to glare at him. “You don’t have to wait for me, you know. I can get to work on my own.”
“Maybe that’s my quirk,” Taehyung nudged him in the shoulder. Yoongi nudged him back and almost knocked him over.
“You were bitching at me 2 minutes ago. I assume that’s because you wanted to leave?” Yoongi said.
“Being late is a lot less forgivable now that you aren’t fucking the manager,” Taehyung pointed out. Taehyung was referring to Jimin. He and Yoongi had broken up last month. Jimin had claimed he wanted to see other people. Yoongi knew he just couldn’t take how he looked without the makeup. He looked like he belonged in a vampire novel rather than real life. He refused to tattoo his whole body so when his face was clean and his shirt was off, he practically glowed. He wore long pants all year to cover his legs. He could barely look at himself naked. He couldn’t blame Jimin for not being able to handle it.
“Let’s go,” Yoongi sighed.
When they got to work, the place was almost empty except for a guy sitting at the counter. He looked a few years older than Yoongi. He had shaggy dark hair & was wearing old jeans, a flannel shirt, and cowboy boots. Even if the place had been full, he still would’ve stood out. Yoongi clocked in, tied on his apron, and went over to where the guy was sitting.
“Can I get you anything?” he asked. The guy looked up at him almost like he was staring through him.
“Just a refill on the coffee, thanks,” he said. Yoongi dutifully refilled his coffee and walked away.
“He’s been here for at least an hour. All he’s had is coffee,” Jimin said. “It’s like he’s waiting for someone.”
“It’s not like we’re busy,” Taehyung said. The three of them tried not to stare as the guy took a sip of his coffee then checked his phone. He put it away without responding to anything. Jimin went back into the back and Taehyung started rolling silverware to kill time before the dinner crowd came in. Yoongi walked back over to the mystery man.
“Sure I can’t get you anything other than coffee?” he asked. The guy opened his mouth to say something and then the door dinged. Another guy came in who didn’t look too different than the one Yoongi was looking at. It felt like time slowed down as Yoongi watched him pull a gun and aim it at him.
“Get down!” the guy jumped over the counter and pushed Yoongi onto the floor. He landed on top of him and held him down.
“Don’t move,” he pulled a gun out of the back of his jeans and shot in the direction of the initial shooter. Yoongi heard a wet cry and the sound of a body hitting the ground. The guy knelt next to him.
“You okay?” He asked.
“Other than you landing on me, I’m fine,” Yoongi said. “What’s going on?”
“He was trying to kill you,” the man replied.
“What? Why?” Yoongi asked.
“Because your stepfather put a price on your head,” he told him.
“How do you know that?” Yoongi asked.
“Because I was sent to kill you, too,” he replied. Yoongi recoiled and started to crawl away. The guy grabbed his arm and stopped him. “In case you didn’t notice, I just saved your life.”
“How do I know you didn’t do that just to kill me and take the reward for yourself?” Yoongi asked.
“How long did I have to kill you and your friends with no witnesses?” He asked.
“Oh,” Yoongi said when he thought about it.
“You’re welcome by the way,” the guy stood up. “Everybody okay?”
“Yeah,” Yoongi heard the chorus of voices. The guy went over to the door, locked it, and changed the sign over to ‘Closed’.
“Help me move this dead jackass,” he looked over at Taehyung. He tentatively got up and grabbed one of the dead would be assassin’s arms. “You got anything that can break a sternum around here?”
“Maybe, why?” Jimin asked.
“Because I need to cut out his heart,” the guy replied.
“Okay, time out. What the fuck is going on here?” Taehyung asked.
“Yoongi’s stepfather hired me to kill him. As proof of death, I’m supposed to send him your heart,” the guy looked at Yoongi. Yoongi tried to stifle a dry heave.
“Why didn’t you kill me?” Yoongi asked.
“I’m an interrogator. I get answers from people. I don’t murder innocent people to satisfy some megalomaniac’s ego,” he replied.
“Before we cut open some guy’s chest, can I at least know your name?” Yoongi asked.
“Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook,” he said. “Now let’s get this done before he starts to stiffen up.”

posting my chiluc smut here first bc I don't have an ao3 account (yet)! will post the ao3 link once I get an account and get it posted.
again, this is smut, minors begone.
also, this is my first fic ever, so feel free to roast me.
another warning, this is long (~10k words)
fic under the cut!
The Fatui Harbinger had been coming to the Angel’s Share for the past few nights. He called himself “Childe”. Diluc was not very fond of him, what with him being with the Fatui and all, but he was a paying customer, so Diluc treated him as he did every other patron. Diluc just wished this Childe guy would treat him like every other bartender.
“Can I get another shot? Pretty please, oh pretty barkeep?” Ajax batted his eyes at Diluc, noticing the man give a slight eye roll before he began to pour the Harbinger his requested shot.
Ajax had been trying to get the attention of this particular bartender for some nights now. When he had first entered the Angel’s Share tavern, his sight had tunnel-visioned on the entrancing man behind the bar with fiery red hair. Ajax knew he had to have him. The bartender, Diluc, his name tag read, was not as perceptive to Ajax’s advances as he had hoped he would be.
Diluc set down the shot he had ordered in front of him, jerking him out of his musings. “Would you like me to add this to your tab, sir?” Diluc asked him, all business. Oh, but Ajax would never tire of hearing the man’s voice, wanting to hear how it sounded when it was screaming his name.
Ajax cocked his head to the side to appreciate the view from a different angle. “Yes, please; and like I said, call me Childe.” He tried not to get discouraged when he saw Diluc scoff a bit. “Actually, you can call me anything you like,” he shot back with a wink.
Diluc only scoffed again, wiping down a glass from another customer. “I’m not going to call you by some made-up name. ‘Childe’ is ridiculous, anyway,” he explained, choosing to ignore the wink the Fatui man had sent him.
Ajax downed his shot easily, smirking slightly at Diluc’s raised eyebrow. “I told you that you could call me anything you want. Although, I certainly didn’t mind ‘sir’ either, if that’s what you’re into,” Ajax all but purred, his eyes half lidded in intent.
Diluc chuckled a bit sarcastically at that. “Wouldn’t you like to know,” he shot back, only resorting to responding in such a manner because the Harbinger was pushing his buttons.
Ajax leaned forward on the bar, getting closer to the man of his desires. “Oh I would absolutely love to know just exactly what you’re into,” he whispered darkly, knowing that Diluc could still hear his every word. Ajax mentally pumped his fist when he saw Diluc inhale sharply at that.
Diluc narrowed his eyes at the man in front of him. “Are you... flirting with me?” he asked, genuinely unsure.
Ajax’s eyes widened at the question before he sat back on his barstool with a laugh. “‘Am I flirting with you?’! Um, yeah, actually, have been for the past few days,” he laughs again, thinking it absurd that it took Diluc this long to figure out. “But thanks for noticing, I guess.” He still shook his head to himself, wondering if he had lost his flirting skills or if Diluc was just particularly dense.
Diluc felt his cheeks start to heat up, and quickly turned his back to the Harbinger. The Harbinger that was flirting with him. Diluc couldn’t understand why. The man was clearly out of Diluc’s league, surely he hadn’t missed all the other patrons in the tavern staring at him, had he? So, as he fiddled with empty glasses, wiping them down just to have something to occupy his hands with, he softly asked, “Why?”
Ajax tore his eyes from where he was blatantly staring at Diluc’s ass to meet the man’s hesitant eyes looking over his shoulder. “Why? Are you kidding me? You’re kidding right?” Diluc broke their eye contact, shyly looking down at the floor, which was not what Ajax wanted. “I don’t think we have time to cover my entire list of reasons, Red.” Diluc looked back at him questioningly, both at the nickname and the statement.
“You just look so... breathtaking.” Diluc turned back around to face Ajax, but couldn’t meet his eyes just yet. “Since I first saw you a few nights ago, I knew I just had to have you. I wanna know how beautiful you look when you let your hair down, what kinds of noises you’ll make when I pull on it. Wanna know how you sound after I’ve broken you, how you’ll look after I’ve made a mess of you,” Ajax murmured, slowly standing from his stool and crowding into Diluc as much as he could with the bar between them. He smirked victoriously when he saw Diluc breathing a bit heavier, his cheeks flushed a bright pink.
A loud clang from somewhere in the tavern jolted them apart, someone probably having knocked over their drink. Diluc’s eyes darted about the place, hoping no one had seen them just now. “Oh my- gods, you can’t say stuff like that here, I’m working,” he seethed, attempting to convey his annoyance, but knowing the Harbinger could probably see right through him.
“Not here?” Ajax repeated, a feral grin beginning to grow on his face. “So I could do it, say, in your bedroom?” He asked suggestively.
Diluc couldn’t deny his attraction to the Fatui man. He was hot, what could Diluc say? He had just never thought the man would be interested in him, but he had clearly been wrong. Plus, the things that he had been talking about did sound rather enticing...
He lowered his voice, praying to the gods that none of the other patrons in the tavern could hear what he was saying. “If I say yes, will you quit... teasing me for the rest of my shift?”
Ajax pulled away a bit, suddenly serious. “Hey now, don’t make it sound like I’m forcing you. If you really want me to cut it out and leave, just say the word and I’ll be gone.” He couldn’t stop the small smirk from gracing his lips as he said his next words. “But something tells me that you really don’t want me to stop.”
Diluc flushed, averting his eyes once again. “Do you think I would even consider going home with you if I didn’t want it?” He whispered, embarrassed to have to admit his desires, but also wanting to make his intentions clear.
Ajax grinned wickedly. “Perfect,” he purred. “So when do you get off work, Red?”
Diluc pouted slightly at the nickname before he glanced at the clock on the wall. “In... a little less than an hour. Think you can be patient for that long?”
“If I get to take you home? I’d wait forever,” Ajax grinned easily. He could see Diluc’s cheeks redden, but could also see the weak glare the man sent his way. “Fine, fine. I’ll leave you to work in peace.”
For the next hour, Diluc tried to carry on with his work normally, he really tried. Yet, he found it impossible to ignore the stirring of emotions in his gut. He was excited for the night ahead, yes, but there was also nervousness and anxiety eating away at him. He knew he wasn’t the most... experienced person out there. He had only ever slept with one girl years ago, finding it not to his liking. He had never even been with a man (unless you count that one guy he made out with a few years back). He hoped his inexperience wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for the man.
He also found it hard to ignore the presence of the Harbinger. He had kept his word, not making any more moves at Diluc, but Diluc couldn’t shake the feeling of the other man’s eyes tracking his every movement. Every so often when Diluc would sneak a peek at him, he would find the Harbinger shamelessly staring at him, eyes roaming over his body slowly, hungrily. He couldn’t help the flush in his cheeks, nor the way he fidgeted self-consciously with his apron.
When Charles came to finally relieve Diluc of his bartending duties, he could see the clear excitement in the Harbinger’s eyes. Diluc took off his apron, leaning in close to the man to whisper, “Meet me out back.” He almost laughed at the way the man bolted from his seat.
Ajax was waiting patiently behind the tavern for only a few minutes before the fiery redhead made his appearance. “So, where to, Red?” His lips twitched into a small smile as they began walking, noticing that Diluc was just slightly shorter than him.
Diluc grumbled to himself, “Since you’ve been coming to the tavern for days, I would’ve hoped you’d bother to read my name tag once.” He continued when the man beside him chuckled, nodding his head in the direction of the city gates. “The manor is a bit outside the city, hope you don’t mind a bit of a walk.”
Ajax cut himself off from the smooth retort of I’d walk to the ends of the earth to get you into bed with me to look at Diluc inquisitively. “Wait... manor?”
Diluc went on to explain that he owned the winery in Mondstadt, as well as the large manor house that was on the property. He also mentioned that he owned the tavern they were just at, internally preening at the impressed look on the Harbinger’s face.
After that, a silence fell between the two as they walked. Diluc didn’t seem to be one to make small talk much, and Ajax was perfectly fine just taking in the scenery, not feeling the need to run his mouth for once. It was comfortable.
Diluc was infinitely glad that he dismissed his house staff early each night, comforted by the fact that there would be no interruptions. As soon as he walked through the front door, his back was being shoved against the hard wood, the gasp he let out being swallowed by the incessant lips capturing his own. His eyes fell closed as he was kissed breathless against the door, a gloved hand gripping his hip and pinning him in place. Diluc slowly raised a hand to rest on the man’s shoulder as his mouth was invaded by the other’s tongue.
Diluc ripped his head back once the Harbinger gave him room to breathe. “H-hold on,” he panted, tilting his head slightly as the man hummed against the skin of his jaw in response. “I have... two things. F-first,” he stuttered out as the skin beneath his jaw was nipped lightly. “You need to tell me your name. I- I’m not calling you Childe.” His eyebrows furrowed in distaste at the name, even while his eyes slipped shut once again from the soft kisses being left on his neck.
Ajax chuckled against the skin of Diluc’s neck. He peppered light kisses across the skin of his jaw, making his way to the other’s ear, where he whispered, “It’s Ajax. Please do remember it, I want to hear you screaming it for me tonight.” He nipped at the skin just below Diluc’s ear, smirking at the way the man shivered slightly.
Diluc nodded absently, mouthing the name Ajax to see how it felt on his lips. He let his head fall back against the door as the man- Ajax- continued a trail down his throat. He hummed in content as his lips were captured in a searing kiss once again, only to have the noise turn into a weak whine as Ajax pulled away much sooner than Diluc would have liked.
“Didn’t you have another thing to say, baby?” Ajax questioned, reveling in the hitch in Diluc’s breath at the use of the pet name. Once his words registered with Diluc, he could notice the other man’s demeanor change, suddenly shy. His cheeks were flushed more in embarrassment than arousal, and his hand was nervously fidgeting with the clothes on Ajax’s shoulder. Ajax pulled himself back a bit, trying to give Diluc more room to get out whatever it was that he wanted to say.
“I- I’ve never... I mean, with a, uh, guy, at least... I’ve never, um... done... this,” he stammered out weakly, his words trailing off at the end. Diluc couldn’t bring himself to meet Ajax’s eyes, but he doubted he would’ve been able to read any expression on his face.
There was a moment's pause before Diluc heard Ajax ask, “Do you want to stop?” If there was any judgement in his voice, Diluc certainly couldn’t find it.
If Diluc thought he couldn’t get any more embarrassed than he already was, he was wrong. He internally cringed at how quick he was to respond. “No. No. I want... this. I just... thought you should, uh, know,” he finished weakly. He was emboldened, encouraged to continue by the soft smile on Ajax’s face. “Besides... you still need to follow through with your words,” he taunted, choosing to ignore the flush on his cheeks at the reminder of Ajax’s filthy promises.
The soft grin of Ajax’s face turned sharp as he crowded Diluc against the door once again. He buried his face into the side of the man’s neck, leaving a bite there before whispering against the skin, “Oh, baby. I’m gonna make it so good for you.” He reached down the grab Diluc’s thigh, using the grip he had on his hip with his other hand to lift the redhead, properly pinning him against the door. He smirked at the gasp Diluc let out, the way his legs scrambled to wrap around his waist.
Diluc was thriving. His head was tilted back against the door, his eyes slipped shut in pleasure. Diluc knew he was a large man, his muscles built well and even a bit bulky in some areas. So the way in which Ajax easily lifted him off the ground and was still supporting his weight against the door, was a bit shocking to Diluc. And, apparently, quite the turn on, if the rapid hardening in his pants was anything to go by. Diluc was glad that his long coat was still on, covering what had to be an obvious tent in his pants. He was embarrassed to be so turned on by just a little making out, but perhaps it was just the effect that Ajax had on him.
Ajax continued leaving a trail of bite marks down Diluc’s throat, encouraged by the way Diluc would tilt his head to the side, offering Ajax a larger expanse of skin to mark. “I’m gonna ruin you for anyone else,” he muttered into Diluc’s skin darkly. He bit down at a spot at the base of Diluc’s throat rasher harshly, leaving his lips on the skin to suck on the mark, ensuring it would leave a nice bruise. He glanced up at the sound of a muffled whimper to see Diluc biting his bottom lip, no doubt in an attempt to keep his noises at bay.
Ajax let go of his hip, bringing his hand up to thumb at Diluc’s lower lip, urging him to release it from between his teeth. Diluc complied easily, his eyes slipping open when Ajax tutted at him. “Nuh uh, let me hear you, baby. I wanna hear all the beautiful noises you can make,” he smirked slightly at the small whimper that escaped from Diluc’s lips. “Let me hear how good I make you feel,” he finished with a whisper.
Diluc’s hands flew to the back of Ajax’s head, gripping his hair and bringing him down for a sloppy kiss. Ajax groaned into Diluc’s mouth, his tongue slipping between the other’s lips easily. With his free hand, Ajax attempted to push the heavy coat off of Diluc’s shoulders, but with his back pinned against the door, it was futile. He groaned into Diluc’s mouth again, this time in annoyance, before he ripped himself away from the mouth that was quickly becoming addicting.
Diluc could see that Ajax was about to say something, but cut him off. “Bedroom,” he panted out, knowing Ajax was thinking the same thing. Ajax let him down and nodded at him, and that was all Diluc needed. He grabbed the man’s hand, almost running through the manor to get to the stairs, zipping through the halls to get to his bedroom. He led Ajax into the room, seeing Ajax kick the door closed behind him, before he was promptly thrown onto his own bed.
Diluc gasped as he bounced back on the bed, his length twitching in his pants. He quickly kicked off his socks and shoes as he saw Ajax doing the same, before Ajax pounced on him. His mouth was everywhere, leaving kisses and bites so quickly that Diluc couldn’t even process it before he would move on to a new spot. His hands moved in a frenzy as well, hastily reaching for Diluc’s hands to strip him of his gloves.
Ajax pulled at the collar of Diluc’s coat, wanting the material off hours ago. The coat was still proving difficult, as he had to get Diluc to work his arms out of it, and Ajax declared the coat his new nemesis. He slowed his mouth leaving marks all along Diluc’s neck, carefully getting Diluc to help him pull his arms out of the offending jacket. He pulled back a bit to let Diluc sit up so he could throw the coat to the ground, Ajax delighted to finally be rid of it.
As happy as he was to be rid of Diluc’s coat, Ajax groaned in annoyance at the sight of more layers of clothing hiding the bare skin he so desperately wanted to see. He did take a moment to appreciate Diluc in his bartending uniform, the black dress shirt and white vest making him look oh so cute when paired with his flushed face and heaving chest. Ajax dived in again, mouthing at Diluc’s neck. “So. Many. Fucking. Layers,” he huffed out into Diluc’s skin, impatiently undoing the buttons of his vest.
Diluc let out a breathless laugh, his breathing still heavy from all the attention Ajax was giving his neck. “I don’t see you- ah. I don’t see you taking anything off,” he panted out, thinking it was a bit unfair that he was the only one being undressed. He let one of his hands move to Ajax’s hip, sliding up to feel the small stretch of skin that was exposed by the cut of his shirt. He let his hand wander further up beneath Ajax’s shirt, sucking in a breath at the feeling of abs and corded muscle.
Ajax hummed against the skin of Diluc’s neck at the feeling of his hand against his own bare skin. “All in good time, baby,” he chuckled, pulling away as he had finally gotten the vest unbuttoned. “For now, I want to see how beautiful you are under all these clothes,” he murmured as rid Diluc of the vest.
Diluc squirmed against the bed as Ajax slowly undid the buttons of his dress shirt, not used to being stared at so intensely. Ajax’s eyes were glued to where his hands were meticulously undoing each button, hungrily eating up every inch of newly revealed skin. Once he undid the last button, he unceremoniously pushed it to Diluc’s sides, putting his entire bare torso on display.
Ajax could do nothing but stare. The man laid out before him was breathtaking, and he wasn’t even fully undressed yet. Ajax wasn’t sure if he would make it through this night alive. But oh it would be such a glorious death. He was so caught up in letting his eyes wander about the wide expanse of skin that he didn’t notice Diluc wriggling his arms out of the sleeves. He only noticed when Diluc sat up a bit to toss the shirt to the floor, his abs clenching deliciously.
Diluc continued to squirm against the sheets, hating that Ajax was staring at him silently for so long. He didn’t find Diluc unattractive, did he? Diluc knew that much of his muscle mass was pretty well hidden beneath his clothes, but without them, there was no hiding it. He prayed to the gods that Ajax didn’t mind his extra bulk. “Ajax,” he whined softly, a small pout to his lips.
Diluc whining his name finally snapped Ajax out of his reverie. “Gods,” he whispered, letting his gloved hands slide up Diluc’s chest, coming to cup the pectoral muscles. “So fucking beautiful,” he whispered again, still entranced by the way the flush on Diluc’s cheeks continued down his neck and to his check, covering the pale skin in bright red splotches. His eyes flicked up to Diluc’s face. “Oh, one more thing.” He reached behind Diluc’s head to undo the ponytail that was holding his hair back. After running his fingers through the locks, he leaned back to admire the view.
And what a view he was. Diluc’s face flushed a bright pink, red splotches of blush littering his beautiful pale skin, his chest rising with each breath he took. All of this, framed by a halo of fiery red hair, the curls spilling out and spreading across the sheets.
Ajax’s patience snapped. He dove down to leave a harsh bite at the meat of Diluc’s pectoral muscle, his hands feverishly wanting to map out every dip and curve.
Diluc let out a small “ah-“ at the harsh bite. A high-pitched keening noise ripped from his throat as Ajax laves his tongue over a nipple.
Ajax chuckled through his nose. “Do you like that? Does it feel good?” he murmured into the skin. Diluc let out a whine in response, which simply wouldn’t do, in Ajax’s opinion. “Diluc baby,” he began, pressing a chaste kiss to the man’s lips. “I want you to answer me when I ask you something, okay? I need to make sure you’re still comfortable and enjoying this. Need to know what makes you feel good. Think you can do that for me?” He grinned as Diluc nodded his head. “Good boy,” he whispered, planting another soft kiss to Diluc’s lips before making his way down his chest again.
Ajax blew on one of Diluc’s nipples softly, enjoying the way Diluc shivered in response. He took the bud lightly between his teeth before closing his lips around it. Diluc let out a soft moan at the feeling of Ajax’s tongue, his hand flying up to rest on the Harbinger’s shoulder. Ajax pulled back enough to purr, “Now let me ask you again. Does that feel good? Do you like getting your nipples played with?”
Ajax smirked to himself when Diluc nodded his head again, before whimpering out an answer. “Y-yeah... yes, it- fuck- it feels good.” Ajax switched his attention to the man’s other nipple, almost getting thrown off his body from how hard his chest was heaving.
Diluc let out another curse. Ajax pulled his mouth back to watch his hands move across the pale skin. His hands came to rest, cupping under the pectoral muscles and pushing them up and together. “Gods, I fucking love your chest,” Ajax breathed to himself; he knew Diluc could hear him from the way his breath hitched in his throat. “Just like a pair of tits,” he mused, squishing the muscles together. He smirked at the way Diluc’s breath was punched from his gut. “So fucking hot...”
Ajax looked up to see that Diluc’s mouth was opening and closing, as if he was trying to say something. “Yes, baby?” he asked, his hands stilling. “Did you want something?”
Diluc nodded, tugging slightly at the material of Ajax’s shirt. “O-off. Please... a-at least the gloves, fuck, please.”
Ajax was now positive he would not survive the night. He couldn’t believe this was Diluc’s first time, not with the way he begged so pretty. He didn’t even need to tell the other to say please. Perhaps he was a natural-born pleaser, Ajax thought to himself.
He snapped his attention back to Diluc when the other tugged at his clothes once more. “Oh, such a good boy, telling me what you want. So polite, too,” he cooed at Diluc. He hummed in consideration for a moment before an idea came to him. He regretfully removed one of his hands from Diluc’s chest, bringing it up to Diluc’s face, the fingertips of his gloves a hairbreadth away from Diluc’s shiny lips. “Would you be so kind as to help me with the gloves, hm?”
Ajax watched in twisted delight as Diluc slowly took the fabric of the middle finger of his glove between his teeth. He pulled his hand back a bit, happy to see Diluc rear his head back, the glove sliding off Ajax’s hand with ease. “Good,” he whispered to himself, taking the glove from Diluc’s mouth. He brought his other hand up, and Diluc helped him out of that glove as well.
Ajax tossed his gloves to the side carelessly, too excited to finally feel Diluc’s skin with his bare hands. He trailed his hands slowly from Diluc’s jaw down his neck, heat pooling in him as Diluc tilted his head further back to allow him more room. He trailed his hands down the other’s chest, feeling his pounding heartbeat, then further down, watching his abs twitch at the featherlight touches.
His hands ended up cupped around Diluc’s pecs once again. His hands massaged the muscle there as he mouthed at the skin. When he heard Diluc let out a pleased sigh, he bit down, gnawing at the muscle between his teeth. The sudden bite caused Diluc to gasp sharply, his eyes flying open to see Ajax’s mouth on his chest. Ajax released the muscle, giving the aggravated area a few licks and kisses to soothe the sting before he smirked up at Diluc. “Do you like me marking up your gorgeous tits? They’re gonna bruise so pretty...” he trailed off, moving to leave a similar bite mark on the other side of Diluc’s chest, a punched out “fuck-“ leaving Diluc’s lips at the sting.
Ajax was mouthing at the newest bite mark when he raised a questioning eyebrow at Diluc. Diluc gulped. “Yes...” he breathed out softly, hoping Ajax could hear him. “Hurts but... f-feels good. P-please don’t st-stop,” he whimpered, moving his free hand to Ajax’s hair in an attempt to keep him in place.
Ajax groaned into the skin of Diluc’s chest, “Gods, you’re such a good boy for me.” He made note of how Diluc’s hips bucked up at that, and filed the thought away for later.
Ajax spent the next few minutes leaving harsh bites all over Diluc’s chest, soothing the mark with kisses each time. Diluc felt as if he was on cloud nine, the deep sting from the initial bite sending electricity up his spine, only for heat to curl in his gut at the kisses left there afterwards. However, he was getting a bit impatient. His dick was rock hard in his pants, and he could feel a wet patch beginning to grow in his boxers. Diluc wanted to get his pants off. Actually, Diluc revised his own thoughts, he wanted to get Ajax out of his clothes even more, the Fatui man not even having shed his shirt yet.
Diluc tightened his hold in Ajax’s hair just slightly, tugging on his shirt with his other hand. “Off... plea- hng- please. W-wanna... wanna see- oh fuck- you too,” Diluc panted out, pleased that he could even get out coherent words at that point.
Ajax would never get tired of hearing Diluc beg. He breathed out a shaky, “Fuck... okay,” before he pulled back enough to tear his shirt off, throwing it who knows where. He could see Diluc eyeing him appreciatively, but didn’t give him much time to enjoy the view before he was kissing the other man senseless.
Diluc groaned into Ajax’s mouth, his hands sliding down the man’s back, finally attaining the skin-on-skin contact he didn’t know he craved. He let his hands wander and feel to make up for what his eyes weren’t able to see. From his exploration, he could tell that the other was covered in scars, both old and new, as well as the fact that he was much stronger than he appeared, corded muscles tense beneath his skin.
Diluc was slightly amused by the fact that Ajax’s hands returned to his chest almost immediately. It made Diluc feel... almost confident, the fact that Ajax seemed to like it so much. So, he arched his back, pushing his chest further into those incessant hands.
“Fuck,” Ajax breathed harshly into Diluc’s mouth. His hands squeezed around the muscles. “So fucking hot,” he panted out, moving to mouth at the other’s jaw. “Bet if I squeezed ‘em together, I could get my dick in between and fuck your tits,” he rambled, words spilling from his mouth before he could really even think about it.
Diluc absolutely keened at that, his head thrown back as a high whine escaped his throat. His reaction only spurred Ajax on. “Yeah? Would you like that baby? Want me to fuck your tits?” he mumbled into Diluc’s skin, the idea almost sending him into a frenzy. Diluc was faring no better. His eyes were pinched shut, pushing his chest out even further, a constant stream of “yes, yes, yes” falling from his lips.
It was only when Diluc desperately ground his hips up into Ajax’s that the Harbinger remembered his main goal for the night. He took a deep breath to calm himself. “Maybe later, baby,” he said, chuckling at the small pout Diluc gave him in response. “Definitely later,” he revised, happy to see Diluc perk up at that too. “For now, though,” he trailed his hands down Diluc’s chest, over his abs, and toying with the waistband of his pants. “Let's get you out of these, shall we?”
Diluc was all too eager to lift his hips to help Ajax undress him, any shyness at being bared being overshadowed by his desire. Ajax tossed his pants to the side, eyeing the large bulge in his boxers with a hungry gaze. Diluc let out a breathy whine as Ajax palmed him, finally giving his cock attention. He cursed when Ajax lowered his head to mouth at him through the fabric, hot breath and saliva dampening the material even further. Ajax hummed against his length, breathing out, “Gods, how are you even real?” as his hands slid up Diluc’s thighs.
Diluc cried out as Ajax dug his fingers into the meat of Diluc’s thighs, causing the Harbinger to groan. “Fuck, baby, your thighs,” he whispered reverently against Diluc’s length, feeling it twitch beneath the fabric. He trailed his mouth down to suck a mark into the flesh of the redhead’s inner thigh. “Can I mark ‘em up? Bruise ‘em all nice and pretty to match your tits? Mark ‘em as mine?” Ajax purred.
Diluc sucked in a wet, heaving breath. “Yes, please- oh fuck,” he panted out. He let one of his hands trail to his own chest, pressing his finger into one of the dark red marks that will surely bruise later. “Can you... can you- ah! B-bite? Fuck, please?” Diluc begged, craving the sting of Ajax’s teeth again.
Ajax groaned, reaching a hand down to adjust himself in his pants. “‘Course, baby,” he whispered. He returned his hand, using it to pull Diluc’s boxers off. Diluc squirmed at being fully bare, but Ajax just pressed a sweet kiss to his shaft, his hand wrapped around the base. He let himself begin to ramble as he slowly stroked Diluc’s cock. “Gonna mark up these perfect thighs. Gods, you’re gonna be so bruised tomorrow, you’ll look so gorgeous. Gonna mark you up so everyone knows you’re mine.”
Diluc couldn’t stop the near constant stream of moans and whimpers from leaving his lips. The feeling of Ajax’s hand finally on his dick is heavenly, and the man’s whispered words only add fuel to the fire in his gut. He lets out a sharp cry as Ajax’s teeth sink into the meat of his inner thigh, the noise turning into a low groan as Ajax soothes the sting with his tongue.
Ajax only removed his head from between Diluc’s thighs once he was satisfied that the redhead was as marked up as possible. He really hoped Diluc wouldn’t kick him out once they were done, he wanted to see how well all his marks turned into bruises for himself in the morning. He pulled his mouth away from Diluc’s thighs, stroking a finger over the bite-mark covered skin reverently. “These are gonna look so good, baby,” he murmured. “Can’t wait to see you covered in my bruises.”
Diluc whined, his hips jumping as the pace of Ajax’s hand on his cock had slowed significantly. Ajax must have noticed, because he was soon licking small stripes up the entire length. Small cries and high pitched whimpers were ripped from Diluc’s throat. He turned his head to the side, knowing that the sight of Ajax between his thighs with his mouth on his cock could probably make him cum.
Ajax trailed his lips up the shaft, planting a sloppy kiss right at the tip. “Love this fucking cock,” he mumbled, mostly to himself. He grinned at the moan Diluc let out. “Want me to suck it? Bet you taste so good,” he rambled, eyes eager to see Diluc’s reaction. “I can usually swallow everything, but you’re so big I might just choke on it.” He delighted in the hitch in Diluc’s breath, the way his hips jumped. “I’d love it though, choking on it. I’d let you gag me with it, ‘til I can’t breathe.”
He grinned evilly as Diluc let out a loud whine. “But maybe later.” With that, he sat up completely, leaving only his hand wrapped loosely around the base of Diluc’s length. He chuckled as Diluc balked at him, having had all the pleasurable sensations ripped away. “Sorry baby, but I gotta ask: do you want to top or bottom?” Ajax desperately wanted to fuck the other man, but since it was his first time, he figured he would let the redhead make the decision.
Diluc flushed, averting his eyes. “Oh, I, um, uh... w-want you to... to, um, f-fuck me,” he stammered out before blearing his throat. “Please.”
Ajax wanted so badly to hop on board with that and absolutely destroy the other man, but he felt it was only fair to give him a warning. “Are you sure, baby? It might hurt a bit,” he said cautiously.
Diluc took a deep breath, steeling himself. “Yes, I’m sure. And I- I... I trust you,” he finished quietly.
Ajax smiled, swooping down to press a soft kiss to Diluc’s forehead. “Alright. Don’t worry, baby, I’ll take care of you.” He planted a final kiss on the tip of Diluc’s nose, watching it scrunch up adorably. He patted the man lightly on the hip. “Turn over onto your stomach for me, baby. Also, lube?”
Diluc’s eyes widened a bit, heat rising to his cheeks before he complied, nodding his head toward the nightstand. As he was turning, he heard Ajax rummaging around through the drawer before closing it and tossing the bottle onto the bed next to him. Ajax grabbed a pillow from the headboard and placed it under his hips, making him flush further at the thought of his ass being put on display. Once he was settled, he grabbed a pillow to hug to his chest, giving himself something to keep his hand occupied with. He heard Ajax chuckle behind him, turning his head to look at the man questioningly, only to hear, “Of course you have a perfect ass as well,” spilling from the Harbinger’s lips.
Diluc jumped slightly when Ajax grabbed his ass without ceremony, a handful of cheek in each. He relaxed once again when Ajax began massaging his ass, kneading the flesh in his hands. He let out a soft hum, content. He didn’t even notice that Ajax had pulled his cheeks apart until he felt a thumb softly run over his hole. He jolted in surprise, making Ajax pull away, a worried look in his eyes. Diluc turned his head to the side, but wouldn’t make eye contact. “Sorry, sorry” he breathed out. “Just... surprised me. Keep going. Please,” he finished weakly.
Ajax wasn’t entirely convinced. “You sure?” he asked, not wanting to cause Diluc any discomfort. Diluc nodded his head eagerly where it lay on the pillow, and Ajax let out a bated breath. He put his hands back on Diluc’s ass, comforted by the way Diluc seemed to immediately relax into the touch. “Have you ever had anything in you before?” he asked quietly.
Diluc turned to hide more of his face into his pillow. “Mmfnhfnggrz” was the muffled response. Ajax could guess as to what was said, but he really wanted to hear Diluc say it himself. He continued to massage Diluc’s asscheeks, thumbs occasionally brushing the skin closer to his crack, but never getting any closer to his hole. “Hm, what was that baby? I couldn’t understand you.”
Ajax grinned as Diluc turned his head to face him more, his face almost as red as his hair, his eyes looking anywhere but at the Harbinger. “I- I’ve used, um... my- my fingers before,” he whispered.
Ajax’s grin morphed into a soft smile, encouraging Diluc to continue. “Mhmm. And how did it feel baby?” He tutted when Diluc buried his head in his pillow again, groaning in shame. “Hey, nothing to be embarrassed about, baby. I’m just trying to get more familiar with what your comfort level is. Like I said, I’m gonna make this good for you,” he explained, leaving a trail of soft kisses up Diluc’s spine.
Diluc turned his head to the side once again, his eyes pinching shut. “It felt...” he began, trailing off as he thought about the answer. “Fine,” he answered decisively. “Felt... felt full, it- it was good,” he sighed, the memory of his own fingers inside him fresh in his mind. “But it, uh, w-wasn’t enough to...” he trailed off, hoping Ajax would understand what he meant.
Ajax’s mind was reeling, head filled with thoughts and visions of Diluc desperately trying to fuck himself on his fingers, only to cry out in frustration when he can’t hit that perfect spot inside him. If he could ever get Diluc into bed with him again, he would need to make the redhead ringer himself open for him; Ajax was sure it would be an excellent show.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Diluc’s hips twitched a bit, pushing his ass back into Ajax’s hands. He planted one final kiss to Diluc’s shoulder before sitting up once again. “Don’t worry, baby. I’m gonna make you feel so good you’ll see stars,” he chuckled breathlessly, watching as Diluc minutely thrusted into the pillow beneath his hips.
Diluc startled at the snap of the lube cap opening, relaxing again as Ajax pressed a comforting kiss on one of his cheeks. He inhaled sharply as Ajax’s thumbs spread his cheeks apart once more. “Gods, I’d love to eat you out one day,” he heard the Harbinger mumble into his skin, his hips thrusting against the pillow weakly at the thought. Ajax must’ve noticed, for he continued, “Would you like that, baby? Would you let me eat your ass?” As he said it, one of his hands disappeared, only to return moments later, spreading warmed lube across Diluc’s entrance with a thumb.
Diluc’s breath caught in his throat at the familiar feeling of the substance. What wasn’t familiar, however, was the feeling of someone’s else’s hands doing the work. They had barely even started, but Diluc already decided that he liked this much better than doing it himself.
The redhead’s breath escaped him in a shaky exhale as Ajax pushed just the tip of his thumb in, the rim fluttering around the intrusion. Ajax was keeping a keen eye out for any signs of discomfort from Diluc; when he found none, he slowly edged his thumb further in, up to the first knuckle. Diluc let out a quiet moan, his hips pushing back when Ajax stilled. Encouraged, Ajax continued.
He twisted his thumb around a bit, feelings Diluc’s walls stretch around him. He pulled his thumb this way and that, stretching the rim a bit further. Diluc was humming softly, quiet moans falling from his lips every so often. Ajax removed his thumb, smiling at the whine that escaped Diluc’s throat from the loss. He shushed the redhead quietly, leaving soft kisses along his thighs.
Ajax slid his index finger into Diluc, meeting little resistance. He reveled in the moan the man let loose, his volume having increased ever so slightly. He slid his finger in to the base, Diluc’s shoulders tensing a bit. “Doing okay?” Ajax asked softly, stilling his hand.
“Yeah,” Diluc gasped out. “Keep going.”
Ajax nodded softly, despite the fact that Diluc couldn’t actually see him. He slowly pulled his finger out until only the tip remained inside, and was just as slow in pushing it back in. Ajax was doing his best to go slow, despite his desire to just ram into the man below him, but the groan Diluc let out and the way his hips pushed back into his finger were really testing his restraint.
“So fucking good,” Ajax mumbled. He curled his finger a bit inside Diluc, the man letting out a whine. He removed his finger, two returning to Diluc’s hole before the redhead could even protest the loss. He slid his fingers in slowly, two being more of a stretch, pleased when Diluc only pushed his hips back further. “Take my fingers so well,” he murmured reverently. He paused as his fingers met some resistance around his knuckles, pulling them back only to push back in, loosening Diluc’s rim more.
Ajax slowly fucked his two fingers in and out of Diluc’s hole, the redhead letting out wet, panting breaths into the pillow he had clutched to his chest. After a short bit of time doing this, Ajax was able to slide both fingers in entirely, letting out a shaky breath at the delicious groan Diluc let out. He stilled, mesmerized by the sight and feeling of Diluc’s rim clenching around the base of his fingers.
Diluc felt his hips twitch involuntarily in impatience. He turned his head to look at the man behind him, his face partially obscured by his own fiery red curls. “M-move... pl- please, more,” he whimpered out, desperate for the feel of Ajax’s fingers stretching him open.
Ajax let out a low groan as he retracted his fingers slowly. He pushed them back in quickly, grinning at the way Diluc’s breath was punched from his gut. He repeated the action, Diluc letting out a low moan this time. He continued this, withdrawing slowly, only to push back in quickly- quickly, but not very rough. At some point, Ajax realized he couldn’t hear Diluc’s noises as well, looking up to find the man biting at his pillow.
Ajax tsked, using his free hand to grab some of Diluc’s hair and pull. A split second after he did it, he thought that he really should’ve been gentler, but the high, unabashed keen that was ripped from Diluc’s throat quelled his worries. He brought his lips down to Diluc’s ear, using the grip in his hair to get Diluc to arch his back just ever so slightly. “Nuh uh, baby. You gotta let me hear those beautiful noises, remember? You need to let me know how good I’m making you feel, hm?” he whispered, grinning dearly when Diluc took in a gulping gasp of air, his head nodding as much as it could with the grip Ajax still had on his hair. “Good boy.” He planted a kiss in Diluc’s hair, rewarding the man by twisting the fingers he still had inside him.
Diluc gasped at the feeling of the fingers inside him twisting, only for them to begin spreading apart, scissoring him open. This was always his favorite part of fingering himself, the feeling of his rim loosening, stretching further. He could never reach very far inside himself, but he did enjoy the feeling of being full. He enjoyed Ajax’s fingers much more than his own, as they were able to fill him as he desired, but they could also reach deep, hitting spots inside Diluc that had never been touched before.
“Feel good?” Ajax asked, snapping Diluc’s attention back to reality. Diluc heard a constant stream of soft whines and deep groans, embarrassed to find that he was the one making those noises. “Love the way you sound,” Ajax murmured, causing Diluc to flush, a sharp gasp leaving his lips as Ajax’s fingers curled inside him. “Yeah, just like that. Gods, so fucking hot.” Ajax slowed his fingers. “Tell me how it feels, baby,” the Harbinger ordered.
“Feels... oh fuck, good, feels so good,” Diluc blurted out, his pride nowhere to be found. “P-please, want- want... ah- want m-more,” he whimpered. “F-feel... mmmn- full, f-fuck. N-need... full, ple- hnngg- please?” Diluc really hoped that Ajax knew what he was begging for, because he sure didn’t know himself. “W-want- FUCK!” He cried out as Ajax curled his fingers just so, pressing against a spot inside him that made him dizzy with pleasure. He almost jackknifed off the bed, but Ajax’s free hand was quick to clamp down on his hip, keeping him firmly in place.
Ajax grinned sharply when he found the redhead’s prostate, his grin only growing at Diluc’s reaction, despite having to hold the man down. He stilled his fingers for a moment, knowing Diluc would need some time to collect himself. “Wh-... what was that?” Diluc asked hoarsely.
Ajax laughed. “That’s your prostate, baby. Really sensitive,” he explained, soothing his thumb over Diluc’s hip as the man was still taking shaky breaths. His grin turned wicked. “I told you I would make you see stars, didn’t I?” He fucked his fingers into Diluc’s hole again at the same angle, basking in the sharp cry that was ripped from Diluc’s throat. “Tell me how good it feels,” he whispered, his fingers continuing their motion.
Diluc had never felt such intense pleasure in his entire life. He felt as if Ajax’s two fingers had fucked the sanity out of him. “So- fuck- so good... yes, fuck, oh gods... m-more, pl- ah- please,” he begged, words spilling from his lips before he could even process what it was that he was even saying. A filthy noise was ripped from Diluc’s throat when Ajax added a third finger, still hitting the same spot inside him. Ajax had been thorough enough that the additional finger didn’t cause any pain, but Diluc reveled in the extra feeling of fullness.
When Ajax switched to keeping his fingers stuffed inside Diluc, fingertips massaging and rubbing circles into that sensitive spot inside him, Diluc’s hips began thrusting. He wasn’t quite sure if he was thrusting back into Ajax’s hands, or forward, rutting his dick into the pillow beneath his hips. All he knew was that he wanted more. As Ajax continued his ministrations with his fingers, Diluc could feel heat pooling in his gut. “Fuck, fuck, gods yes... so- hnngg- so full,” he panted out. “P-please, I’m- ah!- close, fuck, please.”
Ajax’s eyes lit up, hungrily watching Diluc rut between the pillow and his hand. “Yeah? You gonna cum on my fingers? Just from being stuffed full?” he teased sadistically, harshly thrusting his fingers in further for emphasis. He grinned manically, his dick positively leaking in his pants, at the noise Diluc let loose, almost sounding like a sob. Gods, he would love to fuck the redhead to the point of tears. He ground his fingers into Diluc’s prostate insistently. “Be a good boy and cum for me. Cum on my fingers, baby,” he murmured reverently.
Ajax was in awe. There was simply no other word for it. He watched as Diluc rutted into the pillow beneath him, suddenly freezing at his words, body tensed, as he let out a garbled whine high in his throat. The redhead was positively shaking through his orgasm, tremors running through his entire body as Ajax’s fingers worked him through his high. He retracted his fingers carefully once Diluc’s shoulders had finally relaxed again, his body still shaking.
The Harbinger gently coaxed Diluc to roll over onto his back, tossing the soiled pillow off the bed in the process. Ajax fell over top of him, leaving gentle kisses along the skin of his neck. “So wonderful, did so good for me,” he whispered the soothing words. “Perfect, just perfect.”
Diluc worked to open his eyes a fraction from where they were pinched shut, his body still wracked with tremors. “A-aren’t you g-gonna... f-fuck me? Y-you still ha- haven’t...” he trailed off, attempting to weakly gesture toward the rather obvious tent in Ajax’s pants with a shaky hand.
Ajax cooed at him. How sweet of him, he thought to himself. “Oh baby, you don’t need to worry about me.”
Diluc frowned, his eyebrows furrowing. “B-but... w-want you t-to fuck me? P-please?”
Ajax groaned at that. “Baby... you’re still going to be so sensitive,” he explained, trailing his fingers down to Diluc’s hips. The way Diluc’s hips twitched even at the light touch proving his point. “Are you sure?”
Diluc nodded his head eagerly. “Y-yes, please. W-want it. Wanna f-feel, feel you.” He could already feel his dick begin to twitch in interest again, and knew that it certainly wouldn’t take very long for him to get hard again.
Ajax sucked in a breath at that. “Gods, you’re incredible,” he whispered softly before continuing, his voice raised so that Diluc could hear. “Alright, baby, I’ll fuck you. You just have to let me know if it gets to be too much, okay?” When Diluc nodded, Ajax all but ripped his own pants off, eager to finally give his dick some attention.
Diluc was trying to angle his head to get a look at what Ajax had been hiding in his pants the whole night, curiosity taking over him, but the sound of the lube cap snapping open once more jolted him. Ajax hung his head over Diluc’s chest, letting out a soft hiss at his dick finally getting some contact. Diluc felt a sticky hand lightly pat the outside of his thigh. “Can you spread your legs for me, baby?” Ajax asked. Diluc complied, spreading his thighs apart, feeling heat rise to his cheeks as he slipped his eyes closed.
Ajax positioned his hands, one on Diluc’s hip, and the other grabbing the back of his thigh, pushing his knee towards his chest. He internally appreciated the flexibility of the man. He positioned the tip of his cock just outside Diluc’s hole, feeling the rim flutter at the contact. “I’ll go slow, okay?” He whispered into Diluc’s neck.
Diluc nodded, not trusting his voice enough to respond. He gasped sharply as the pressure against his rim increased, letting out a breathy cry as he felt the tip of Ajax’s length breach the ring of muscle. Diluc’s hands flew to Ajax’s shoulders once the Harbinger had gotten the head of his cock inside, nails digging into the flesh there. He could barely hear the deep groan that was ripped from Ajax’s throat over his own pounding heartbeat and gasping breaths.
Ajax had to still once he had gotten the head of his dick inside Diluc, worried he might cum if he pressed any further. Diluc was just so tight, wrapped deliciously around him. After taking a moment to collect himself, Ajax pressed further. It was overwhelming. All the punched out little “ah, ah, ah”s Diluc was letting out, the feeling of nails digging into the skin of his shoulders, the heat wrapped around his length, everything was flooding his senses.
He was about three-quarters of the way in when he was finally met with some resistance, Diluc tensing beneath him. Ajax peppered his face with kisses, stroking soothing thumbs over the skin of his hips and thighs. “Shhh, you’re doing so good, baby, so good,” he whispered. “You’re almost there, Diluc, only a little bit left. Don’t you want to take me? Don’t you want to be a good boy and take all of me?” He began slowly moving his length in and out of Diluc, never pushing any deeper.
Diluc sucked in a heaving breath, his chest trembling slightly. “Y-yeah,” he whispered, face positively burning. “K-keep going. Please.” Diluc let out a whimper when Ajax continued to press forward slowly, the stretch slightly uncomfortable, but eventually turning into a twisted form of pleasure that he couldn’t exactly describe.
Ajax’s head fell to Diluc’s shoulder with a moan when he finally bottomed out, drowning out the small whine from Diluc. “Good job, baby,” he panted out. “That’s everything. Can you feel me stretching you out? Tell me how good it feels,” he asked Diluc, needing to take another moment to compose himself before he came immediately.
“I- It’s a lot,” he rasped out. “S-so big, fuck. F-feel so... mmmn- so full.” He wriggled his hips back, wanting to feel more of the length inside him. He stilled once he felt the grip of Ajax’s hands tighten, the one on his thigh digging into a mark the Harbinger had left there. “Y-you can move,” he whispered, giving Ajax permission to do as he pleased.
Ajax groaned as he moved to mouth at the marks on Diluc’s chest, pleased to see that Diluc’s cock was hard once again. He pulled his hips back at a snail’s pace, until only the tip was left inside. He felt Diluc’s hole clench around him. “Baby, I am not gonna last very long,” he laughed out weakly. With that, he slid back in just as slowly, listening to the symphony of Diluc’s whimpers and whines.
After a few thrusts at such a sluggish pace, Diluc began to squirm. “F-faster... pl- ah- please,” he whispered.
Ajax’s patience was stretched thin. He was going so slow, making sure not to hurt Diluc, when all he wanted to do was ram the man into the mattress. He picked up his pace at Diluc’s plea, still going slower than he would like, but it still felt incredible. He swooped to capture Diluc’s lips in a kiss, swallowing all the gasps, grunts, whines, and moans the man let out at the increase in pace.
Eventually, Ajax’s pace had gradually increased to the point where he could hear his hips slapping against Diluc’s own. He tore himself away from the redhead’s mouth, moving to sit up on his knees in between Diluc’s spread legs, taking in the sight before him.
Diluc looked... wrecked. His chest was flushed a deep red, covered in bite marks, and positively heaving with every breath he took. His thighs, also covered in Ajax’s marks, were quivering in the Harbinger’s hold. And his face- wait, Ajax thought to himself.
His expression was obscured, an arm thrown over his face to cover it. Ajax halted his thrusts, keeping himself buried to the hilt. He ground his hips into Diluc’s slowly, taking in Diluc’s low groan. He let go of the man’s thigh, reaching up to grab Diluc’s wrist, pinning it to the bed above his head. “Let me see you, baby,” he cooed. “Wanna see your pretty little faces.” He let out a deep hum, feeling Diluc clench around him. “Gods, love seeing how wrecked you look. All from my cock.”
Diluc whined high in his throat, partially embarrassed at having Ajax see him in such a debauched state. But if he was being honest, he was feeling so good that he began to forget why he even cared. He nodded absently at what Ajax had said, then suddenly threw his head back as the Harbinger resumed his thrusts.
Ajax sped his hips up, pounding into Diluc now. He moved his hand from Diluc’s hip to wrap around the man’s cock, keeping his other hand where it was pinning Diluc’s arm above his head. Diluc cried out at the contact, his head thrashing about. Ajax angled his hips, aiming to hit that spot inside Diluc that made him see stars. He knew he had hit his target once Diluc let out a sob.
Ajax sped up the hand on the redhead’s cock, feral grin growing as he saw a tear spill from where Diluc’s eyes were pinched shut. “F-fuck, yes. I- I’m cl- mmmn- close. ‘M g-gonna cum, fuck.” Diluc’s cries rang through Ajax’s head as he panted harshly.
“Fuck, so tight. Look at you, crying on my cock,” his thrusts became sporadic as he saw more tears sliding down Diluc’s cheeks. “Open your eyes, baby. Want you to look at me when you cum, make sure you know I’m the one making you feel this good.” He groaned low in his throat when Diluc complied, ruby red eyes opening and locking onto his, hazy and fogged over with pleasure. Ajax watched in awe as more tears spilled over, bottom eyelashes wet and clumped together.
Diluc’s hips bucked into Ajax’s hand, the coil of heat in his gut about to snap. “Fuck,” he whimpered weakly. A sob was ripped from him as he shot his release over Ajax’s hand and across his own stomach, some even reaching his chest. He continued to sob, more tears leaking from his eyes as Ajax continued to stroke him through his high, his cock never stopping it’s thrusting into Diluc’s ass. He thought he could hear Ajax let out something that sounded like a curse, but couldn’t decipher what language it was in.
Ajax continued pounding into Diluc and stroking his dick until the man began to wince and whimper, body wracked in tremors once more. He let go of the man’s cock, spent length flopping into the mess on his stomach. He tore himself from Diluc’s hole; if he hadn’t been about two seconds away from cumming, he would’ve felt bad at the sharp wince he saw from Diluc. However, as it was, his only concern was getting himself off. He crawled his way up Diluc’s body in his knees until he was straddling the man’s ribs. His hand (partially covered in Diluc’s release, Ajax noticed belatedly) flew to his own dick as he began stroking himself desperately.
A filthy groan was ripped from his throat. His hand was flying in his cock, Diluc’s cum making the slide wet and slick. He pitched forward, breath knocked out of him as he saw Diluc’s eyes squint open blearily. His eyes darted to where he was stroking himself, only to notice that beneath his dick (which was an angry red) was Diluc’s chest, marked up with forming bruises and bite marks, a few streaks of pearly white completing the masterpiece.
“Can I- ah- cum on your chest, baby? Get it all messy? All over those pretty marks?” he panted, hoping Diluc would give him permission because he was going to cum within the next ten seconds. He gasped sharply as Diluc nodded, dazed. “Fuck,” he bit out aggressively. “Gonna cum on your pretty tits, baby.” With that, he came, shooting ropes of cum over Diluc’s chest exactly as promised. He took wheezing, gasping breaths of air in as he continued to stroke himself, riding out his high.
Diluc let his eyes slip shut, letting out a content hum as his chest was covered. Ajax hunched over him, dropping his head so that their foreheads were touching. “You did... so good, baby,” Ajax panted out, Diluc preening at the words. Once Ajax released Diluc’s hand that he had pinned to the mattress, Diluc slowly moved it to Ajax’s hair, bringing the man down for a kiss.
It was a rather pathetic kiss, more just panting into each other’s mouths. But it felt oh so intimate, just holding each other close after they both reached their highs, hands softly caressing any skin they could reach.
Ajax fluttered around Diluc’s face, leaving kisses on his skin and whispering praises between each brush of lips. “Such a good boy.” A kiss to Diluc’s temple. “So wonderful.” A kiss to his cheek. “Just beautiful.” A kiss to his forehead. “So perfect for me.” A kiss to his lips.
Ajax took a deep breath, resolving himself to finally sitting up and pulling away from Diluc. He clambered off of the man, eyes darting around the room in hopes to find his (or Diluc’s, honestly) boxers somewhere on the floor. Once he spotted them, he rolled off the bed and snatched them up. As he was pulling them up his legs, he noticed Diluc watching him with a small frown, eyes questioning.
“W- ... what are you doing?” he asked softly, his voice weak. Ajax delighted in hearing how hoarse his voice sounded, the way the words came out slightly raspy.
He finished pulling his boxers on, turning to Diluc with a soft smile. “Gotta get us cleaned up, baby. Bathroom is this way?” he asked, pointing to a door which he assumed led to the bathroom. At Diluc’s small nod, he went in. He couldn’t take in how impressive the bathroom was or how organized Diluc kept his things, too focused on trying to find a washcloth or a towel. After digging through some drawers, he finally found some washcloths. He used one to quickly clean himself up. Grabbing another one, he ran the cloth under warm water, soaking the fabric and wringing it out to make it damp, but not dripping.
He returned to the bedroom, washcloth in hand, to find Diluc slightly more alert, but still pretty out of it. He crawled onto the bed next to Diluc, slowly wiping up the mess on his stomach. As Ajax moved the cloth up to clean his chest, Diluc’s head fell to rest on his shoulder. He planted a kiss to the crown of Diluc’s head once he deemed the man clean. “Do you want some fresh clothes to put on, baby?” he asked in a whisper, not wanting to shock Diluc out of his relaxed state.
Diluc hummed in agreement. “Boxers... Top drawer,” he muttered softly, nodding his head towards a dresser by his closet. He felt immediately cold as soon as Ajax left his side again. He shivered slightly, watching the man rummage through the drawer he pointed out, coming back with a new pair of simple black boxers. Diluc felt his cheeks heat up as Ajax dressed him, pressing kisses to the skin of his legs as he dragged the fabric up.
Diluc sighed in content, happy to have Ajax next to him again. They stayed like that for a while, Diluc’s head resting on Ajax’s chest. Ajax was drawing small patterns into his biceps from where the Harbinger had his arms wrapped around him. They stayed like that until Diluc began to get drowsy, his breaths evening out and his eyes slipping shut. He was sleepy enough that he almost didn’t notice as Ajax slowly removed himself from beneath him, only noticing once he was completely off the bed. His eyes blinked open blearily, seeing Ajax tiptoe around his room in search of his clothes.
“Where are you going?” he asked sleepily, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
Ajax froze, the sound of Diluc’s voice startling him. He turned to the man. “I, uh, gotta grab my clothes. I, um, I figured you’d want me to leave, but I can’t exactly go without-“ he cut himself off as Diluc shook his head, then uttered the one word he had been hoping to hear all night.
“Stay.”

you bit your nails as you paced up and down your room, a nervous habit you’d picked up in your junior year of high school whilst dealing with the tremendous stress and pressure school put on you. well lucky for you, you had graduated now and your 18th birthday was just around the corner. specifically, exactly a week from now.
your best friend jay sat on your bed staring at you with amusement written all over his face as he quietly observed you, before moving up to stop you and pull your hands away from your face. “you’re going to wear yourself out” he mumbled softly, pulling you to sit next to him and rubbing your shoulder in a comforting manner.
“I know I know, I’m just nervous, what if they’re all the way on the other side of the world? or even worse, what if they’re someone I know??” the panicked expression on your face was seemingly too much for jay to handle as before you knew it, he had almost rolled off your bed, laughing his ass off at you.
you see, your “dearest” best friend jay never believed in soulmates. he himself never actually got a name on his wrist, a sign that his soulmate had not reached the age to get theirs. to say he was ecstatic would be an understatement as he was at a party that very night, hooking up with a random girl before going over to your house the next morning with a massive hangover and a sullen expression.
it hurt you to see him that way, hooking up with random people, praying that he wouldnt run into his soulmate. and it hurt even more when you thought of how his soulmate was probably so excited to meet him even if they didn’t know him yet.
if only you knew where you would be a week later, wishing it was you who never met him.
present day
the time on your phone read 11:57, and jay had shown up to your house at exactly 11:30, punctual as always, giving up his usual saturday night parties to spend the night before your special day with you instead. he held your hand in his, one thumb running up and down the expanse of your knuckles soothingly, the only thing grounding you in the tense moments before what was basically the biggest moment of your life. your eyes never met his once, only flickering from the clock to your wrist every few seconds, almost as if it would appear before time if you stared long enough.
12:00 a.m.
it was almost as if everything stopped in that moment as the words appeared on your skin. the crickets stopped chirping, that one car alarm outsode your house stopped beeping and both you and Jay stopped breathing, even if it was just for a few seconds. one by one, letter by letter, black ink slowly trailed up the soft skin on your clean wrist, marking your skin for the rest of eternity. you watched with bated breath as tbe letters curved their way into your skin, into your soul.
“P-A-R-K” looks like your soulmate would have the same last name as your best friend. “J-O-N-” that was when the realisation of what was about to happen dawned upon you. “no, no, no, no” was all you could think. “this wasn’t supposed to happen”
meeting jay’s eyes for a split second, you could see the shock on his face, the same shock you knew was written all over your face at that very moment. yanking your hand out of his warmer one, you stared at the 2 words displayed on your wrist. “park jongseong” you whispered as a one lone tear ran down your cheek, falling to you chin before disappearing into the soft material of your sweater.
this prompted jay to push up his own sleeve, the words that seem to have appeared on his wrist confirmed what you both already knew by that point. jay park, your best friend since you were 5, your rock, your everything, was your soulmate. if the situation were anything but this, you would have been jumping for joy, ecstatic that your soulmate was the man you’d grown up with your whole life. but unfortunately, that was not the case.
“_______” he whispered, voice hoarse as he held your hand in his again. gripping it tightly this time so you wouldn’t be able to let go this time. not that you wanted to anyway. “jay” you whispered back, attempting to smile at him, despite the tears that were threatening to overflow at any moment. “I-I need time to think” he said, so softly, his eyes full of nothing but remorse. “I understand jay, take your time, don’t rush okay?” you replied, squeezing his hand in reassurance. he wistfully smiled at you one last time as he pushed himself off your bed and walked out of your bedroom, closing the door with a small ‘click’, leaving you alone in the darkness of your room, mind racing and wondering what were you were going to do with this newfound information.
you fell asleep after much tossing and turning, your mind full of nothing but jay and his name that was now tattooed into the inside of your wrist. you were woken up by the bright smile of your parents, you mother holding a plate of pancakes and wishing you a happy birthday. the sight alone was enough to make you burst into tears as you wrapped your arms around her, seeking her familiar scent and comfort after the rough night you had. your parents seemed shocked, but did not press you to open up, wrapping their arms around you as they attempted to comfort you.
your mom was no foolish woman, as she seems to have caught on to what was bothering you on your special day. “its about your soulmate isn’t it?” she asked as she placed a glass of your favourite chocolate smoothie in front of you, wiping her hands on her apron. you looked up at her, disbelief written all over your face as she chuckled at you. “how did you know?” you asked as she smiled slyly at you. “I have my ways, and besides, I’m your mother” she replied with a wink. you groaned, dramatically resting your head on the counter as she laughed and gave in. “I saw jay walk out of your room last night with tears streaming down his face, and considering you woke up crying too, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what went down there”.
“you should talk it out with him sweetie, he’s not just your soulmate, he’s your best friend. despite how he feels about this whole fate thing, I’m sure the both of you will be okay.” her words reassured you as you grabbed your backpack, and walked through your front door. not even 2 minutes later you heard the biggest scream and you were tackled into a hug. giggling, you wrapped your arms around the taller boy as he squeezed you tightly. “happy birthday ______!” he said as he let go of you and continued your walk to school. “thanks sunoo” you said, smiling at the younger boy who had the biggest grin on his face.
“soooooo” he began, looking at you with an expectant expression on his face. you pursed your lips, already predicting the question that was due to escape his mouth any second from now. “jay” you said, cutting him off before he could even open his mouth. “JAY?!?!!?” he said, a little too loudly, mouth agape as he processed the information. you shrugged as he linked his arm with yours, understanding that you didnt want to talk about it.
luckily, no one pressed you about your soulmate for the rest of the day, warded off by sunoo’s glare the moment they looked like they were going to ask. you sat next to jay in all your classes, the atmosphere tense and awkward between the two of you. everyone seemed to have figured our what happened by that alone, your normally boisterous voices muted and soft. you went out after school with sunoo and riki, your mood heightened by the laughs and jokes of the two bickering boys.
when you got home, the house was eerily quiet, your parents nowhere in sight, all the lights turned off save the one in your living room. and there on the sleek grey sofa sat Jay, looking down at his hands as he anxiously played around with the rings he always wore. your footsteps alerted him of your presence, as he shot up off your sofa to greet you with a crooked smile on his face, black hair sticking up in every direction.
you smiled at him, already preparing yourself for the worst, as he walked towards you. “your parents have gone out, they handed me the keys and told me to come and talk to you if I wanted, and-” he cut himself off in the middle of his sentence, taking a deep breath and holding your hand. here goes nothing he thought. “I want to try. this whole soulmate thing I mean. maybe i wouldnt be this way if it was anyone else, but it’s you, my best friend, and I don’t want to lose you.” he mumbled out the last part, but it was still clear enough for you to hear. you couldn’t help the smile that stretched across your face at his words, his own face breaking out into a grin at your expression. you reached up on your tippy toes to wrap your arms around his neck as his hands went around your waist.
he buried his face in your hair, your soft vanilla scent calming his racing heart, and that was when he realised how much you really meant to him. he loved when you would always being him snacks after soccer practice, he loved when you let him lay his head on your lap and you ran your hands through his hair, he loved seeing the expressions you made when you ate his food, he loved you.
“I made something for you” he said, pulling away from your embrace, leading you to your kitchen and making you sit down on the counter. he grabbed a plate of your favourite pasta and a fork before lifting up a mouthful and holding it out to feed it to you. you smiled, wrapping your lips around the fork as the flavours exploded in your mouth. “oh my gosh, this is good, you’ve really outdone yourself.” he smiled at the complement before pressing a kiss to your cheek and muttering a little “happy birthday love”, leaving your face feeling hot and an uncontrollable smile on your face.
the rest of the evening went by in hin feeding you food and taking a few notes of it himself, lots of little cheek kisses, before the two of you settled down on the couch to watch a movie. it seemed like jay had gotten over his awkwardness as he pulled you to sit between his legs the moment the movie started. you looked back at him in shock, wondering when he got so bold before he pressed a kiss to your lips and told you to focus on the screen.
it might not have been the perfect first kiss, but it was with jay and that was enough. he played with your hair throughout the movie, and moved it aside at one point, pressing little kisses along the expanse of your neck. it was when he landed his lips on one particular spot that you let out a little noise, one you never even knew you could make that made him sit up a little straighter.
it was almost as if a switch flipped within him as he tightened his grip around your waist, one hand slipping up your hoodie to caress the skin near your waist. “I didn’t know you could make such pretty noises baby” he whispered in your ear, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine. “well i didn’t know i could either” you whispered back, the realisation of what was about to happen making your body feel like it was on fire.
“are you sure you want this? we don’t have to do anything you dont want to sweetheart” he said, pulling away with a kiss to your cheek. you shifted so that you were facing him, legs wrapped around his waist and you reached your hands up to play with the hair at the nape of his neck. “I’m sure jay, theres no one I’d rather do this with than you.” that was all the affirmation he needed, as within seconds you were being dragged to your bedroom by an overexcited jay.
he pressed you up against your room door, hands coming up to lift your thighs and wrap them around his waist, your core meeting his very obvious bulge. taking advantage of the gasp that left you, he allowed his tongue to skip into your mouth, taking control of every aspect of the kiss. pulling away, he brought you to your bed, gently letting you down onto the mattress, and reaching up to pull your hoodie off you.
“so beautiful” he whispered as he reached behind you to pull your bra off, before lifting his own arms to pull his own shirt off, leaving his body on display for you. just for you. he reached down to tug one of your nipples into his mouth, gently sucking and wrapping his tongue around the sensitive bud, his actions leaving your mouth open in a silent moan.
within minutes, both of you were left completely naked as jay continued to trail his lips down your body, pressing little kisses to your inner thigh before his mouth finally met your core, the smallest motion of his lips leaving you breathless and squirming. “stay still sweetheart, good girls don’t move around so much”. his words sent vibrations spreading throughout your body, not doing anything to help with the heat that was coursing through your veins.
his tongue delved in and out of your dripping hole, one of his hands rubbing your clit while the other held your legs open for him. “jay- i- I’m gonna-” but he was gone the moment the words fell from your mouth. and he was a sight to see. your juices mixed with his, drool and spit dripped down his chin, as he ran his tongue over his lips with a smirk on his face.
“oh so the baby wants to cum? don’t worry love, I’m going to make you feel so good”. he reached into his jacket and pulled out a condom before rolling it on and lining himself I with your entrance. he grasped your chin gently, pulling you up to look at him and planting a loving kiss on your lips. “I love you so much sweetheart, so so much” he whispered, pulling away from your lips. “I love you too jay” you said back, watching as he smiled once, before intertwining your hands and then, pushing himself into you.
nothing had ever felt as good in that moment as he gently, softly pushed himself inside. the feeling was euphoric, having your soulmate inside you in such an intimate manner. your bodies moulding together perfectly, bursts of colour lighting up the back of your eyelids as your eyes closed at the feeling of him in you. he began thrusting in and out of you slowly, not wanting to hurt you. but at your signal, he began moving faster, groans and moans escaping both your lips, finding pleasure and love in each other.
it didn’t take long for you to reach your high at all, his length hitting you in all the right places, leading you to ride out your high much faster than you expected, jay following soon after. he finished inside the condom, reaching out to pull it off and throw it away, before walking to your bathroom and grabbing a wet cloth to clean you up with.
he was greeted with the sight of your tired smile as he returned, gently cleaning you before tossing the rag and gathering you up in his arms, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “does this mean you’re mine now?” he asked, reaching down to bury his head in your hair, his hands absent-mindedly tracing shapes and figures on your bare shoulder. “it does if it means you’re mine too”. he smiled at your response, pulling the blanket over the two of you as you drifted off to sleep in the arms of the one person who would stay with you forever.
thank you for reading!! I hope you enjoyed and I hope you drank enough water today! ♡♡♡

plot summary: When Valentina leaves Isabella in charge of the diner for the day, she receives some unexpected company…
Tumblr media
I wake up to find Tony is already gone. The sun is shining through the little window in our room. I turn off the alarm clock and stretch. Today is my first day of work. I get out of bed and rummage through my suitcase before I decide on an outfit. Nothing too special, just a plain white blouse to go underneath my apron. I brush my teeth and comb out my hair before I throw on my clothes and head up the stairs. Today is a big day. In one week, I start classes. I need to find another job by then, because at this rate I won’t be making nearly enough. Maybe I could ask Tony, I wouldn’t really want my grandmother to know I’m hunting for a second job, she might get suspicious. I tie an apron around my waist and before I walk out from the hallway, I notice Tony’s sitting there at the counter, but he isn’t alone. Sitting next to him on one of the bar stools is Riff. They appear to be arguing.
‘’Come on, man. You acted like a complete idiot last night. If you want me to show up tonight, or at all, for that matter, you’re going to have to apologize to her.’’ Tony’s saying. I continue to quietly listen in on their conversation.
‘’Tony, you of all people know apologies ain’t my thing. Now, I know she’s your girl or whatever and for that reason I’ll respect her from now on, but-‘’
‘’She’s not my girl, Riff. And even if she was, you shouldn’t respect her just because she’s my girl, you should respect her because that’s how it should be. She’s just like you and me, Riff, she deserves respect no matter what.’’ Tony says firmly and a small smile tugs at my lips.
‘’See, you can’t go around saying things like that, Tony. She ain’t like you and me and that’s the problem, but hey, believe whatever you wanna believe but you know I ain’t ever done apologies and I ain’t gonna start now. But I’ll leave the girl be, if you say so.’’ Riff says, while getting up to leave. ‘’And you know, we don’t need you tonight, anyway.’’ And with that, he walks out the door.
I see that as my que to step in. ‘’What’s going on tonight?’’ I ask, earning Tony’s attention. He stares at me for a moment.
‘’Oh, you heard all that?’’ He asks, furrowing his eyebrows.
‘’Just that last part,’’ I lie, stepping behind the counter and tending to the register.
‘’Nothing you should worry about.’’ He says shortly and joins me behind the counter.
I want to ask him more questions but it’s at that moment that Valentina comes in through the door.
‘’Isabella, good, you’re awake! Starting your first day not a minute too late, that’s wonderful, mija!’’ Valentina chimes and I smile at her.
‘’Yes, everything’s going well.’’ I assure her.
‘’I’m sure it is. Which is why, I’m leaving you in charge, today. See, Tony and I need to make a trip out of town today, it’s very important and we won’t be back until tomorrow.’’ She says and I take a moment to process her words.
‘’You’re leaving me alone? On my first day?’’ I ask.
‘’Yes, mi niña, I trust you. Think of this as a way to prove to me you are responsible. I wish it could be any other day, but we need to get this done today.’’ She says, giving Tony a knowing look.
I stare between the two of them, not sure what they’re up to.
‘’Come on, Tony.’’ Valentina says and heads for the door.
‘’Where is it you’re going?’’ I ask, as Tony takes his apron off.
‘’Maybe I’ll explain when we get back.’’ He replies and tosses me the key. ‘’Lock up at 10, okay?’’
I nod and the two of them exit the diner. I can’t help but wonder where they’re off too, but I’m more curious to know what’s going on tonight and why Riff needed Tony to be there so badly.
The hours slip by and only a few customers walk in throughout the day. I find myself bored and tired, but the job isn’t too hard. I lock up by 10 and finish cleaning the tables and sorting out the cash register. Some more time passes and I get ready to take out the trash. I remember there are some dumpsters behind the building and make my way out through the backdoor. Outside, it’s dark but there’s a flickering streetlight just by the dumpsters. I feel a slight breeze and hurry to toss the trashbag away. That’s when I hear it. A groan. It seems to be coming from the corner and I’m not sure wether or not I imagined it. But, before I have time to decide there it is again. Someone’s here and they sound in pain. I take a few cautious steps toward the sound. Maybe I should just go back inside. But what if someone’s hurt? If it were me or somebody I cared about I know I’d want someone to help. I peak behind the corner and there, lying against the brick wall, is Riff. I gasp when I see the wound in his side. He’s placed his hand over it and he looks terrible. All pale and beat up. I notice the few bruises on his face when he turns his head to look at me.
‘’Hey, señorita, it’s you.’’ He says weakly. ‘’Listen, I’d love to dance, but I’m kinda busy right now.’’ He mumbles and I don’t even know how to react.
‘’Unbelievable,’’ I say, ‘’you’re fatally wounded with only me around to help you and you still have the nerve to make stupid comments?’’
He presents a half smile and looks up at me. No fear whatsoever is visible in his eyes. It’s almost as if wether he lives or dies is completely irrelevant to him.
‘’I don’t need your help.’’ He states.
I roll my eyes. I’d love nothing more than to just walk away from him right now, but of course I’m not going to do that. It doesn’t matter who he is. No one deserves to die alone behind a dumpster. Not even Riff. Not if I can help it.
I put on a brave face before kneeling down next to him.
‘’Listen, I know you don’t like me and I sure as hell don’t like you, but neither of us wants you to die, so I’m going to help you.’’
‘’it’s all the same to me,’’ he mutters.
‘’Are you really going to make this harder than it is?’’ I ask, staring at him with a sort of urgency in my eyes.
‘’Do your worst.’’ He says, surrendering.
I begin to think of what I know about things like this. Valentina must have a first aid kit and probably a few other things in the shop, so I pull Riff up and hear him groaning as he gets on his feet.
‘’Come on, you need to walk to the door.’’ I say, struggling to carry his weight.
‘’You’re really doing this, huh?’’ He asks and I can’t believe he still has it in him to act smart.
I turn to him and find myself staring at him almost pleadingly, something which I can’t help, but I feel very urged to help him. I think about if it was one of my brothers and I know I would pray for someone to care enough and do something.
‘’Riff, please.’’ I say slowly.
He looks up at me, eyes tired and heavy.
‘’Please.’’ I repeat, hearing my voice cracking and biting my lip to stop the tears that are welling up in my eyes. I don’t even know if I can save him, but I need to at least try. What kind of a person would I be if I didn’t at least try?
He keeps looking at me and his expression seems to soften for a brief moment until I feel but him lifting his weight and begin to limp against me. He doesn’t say a word. We somehow make our way to the door and down the stairs. I lay him down on the bed and immidiately take a look at the wound. In order to do that, I instruct him to lift his shirt. The cut is just above his torso, next to some stupid tattoo I don’t bother to wonder about. He flinches when my fingers graze over his bare skin, as I’m trying to determine the severity of the wound.
‘’You really don’t gotta do this.’’ He goes on and I sigh.
‘’So what exactly is the plan, then? Just let you bleed to death in my bedroom?’’ I ask, grabbing a cloth and dousing it with disinfectant alcohol.
‘’Hey, you’re the one who brought me to your bedroom.’’
‘’Exactly. I brought you here so that I could help you.’’ I say and begin cleaning the wound.
I shake my head, trying to clean as much as I can.
‘’I need you to take your shirt off.’’ I say, as it’s getting in my way.
He smiles stupidly. ‘’Well, I ain’t gonna say no to that.’’
‘’Oh Dios mío’’ I say under my breath as he takes the shirt off, revealing a few more tattoos and some scars. He inhales sharply as I get back to work on the wound. It isn’t deep, it seems as if somebody only grazed him a bit.
‘’Who did this to you?’’ I ask, wondering what he could’ve possibly been doing tonight and thinking back to this morning when he had asked Tony to join.
‘’You wouldn’t know him.’’ He stated shortly.
‘’Well, what happened?’’ I press, wanting to know.
‘’Where’s Tony tonight?’’ He asks intentionally.
‘’He’s out of town.’’ I reply, applying pressure to the wound which results in him seething in pain and his hand flying over my own where the wound is.
‘’Easy.’’ He warns and I almost laugh.
‘’Don’t be such a baby,’’ I say, throwing the cloth away. ‘’Sit back.’’ I instruct.
He looks annoyed but obliges. ‘’So, why’s Tony out of town?’’
‘’I don’t know. He didn’t tell me.’’ I say and begin pulling out the bandages.
‘’He didn’t tell you? Don’t he know keeping secrets in a relationship ain’t no good?’’
‘’Good thing we’re not in a relationship.’’ I remind him.
‘’Right. Tony sure is one dumb son-of-a-bitch for not trying it with you. Hey, you two sleep in here together?’’ He says, before coughing a bit.
‘’Tony’s not like that.’’ I simply say, before getting down on my knees so that I can wrap the bandage around him.
‘’All guys are like that, sweetheart.’’ He says.
I stare at him, before tightening the bandage.
‘’No, Riff,’’ I say, ‘’not all guys are as disrespectful and ill-mannered as you are.’’
‘’Ouch. I’m hurt that you think that.’’ He puts his hand over his heart. ‘’In fact, I always wait for the girl to make the first move.’’ He says, leaning in a bit closer to me, that stupid smile not leaving his face.
‘’Oh, I’m sure you do.’’ I say, tightening the bandage one last time, before finishing up.
‘’Yeah, which is why I’m wondering what’s taking you so long, señorita.’’ He says and I raise my eyebrows at him because he can’t be serious.
‘’You’re funny.’’ I say.
‘’I can be a lot more than just funny. I can be whatever you want me to be.’’ He says and this time I laugh.
‘’Oh, please! Will you stop with the stupid lines? Just say something real for once.’’ I say, turning to put the bandages back in the first aid kit.
‘’Real, huh?’’ I hear him say behind me. ‘’I don’t think you’d like the real me.’’
‘’Ay, there you go again! Cliché after cliché.’’ I continue teasing.
‘’Fine, you want real, I’ll tell you where I was, tonight. I was in a fight. With people like you. Puerto Ricans. And one of ‘em got me really good, as you can see.’’ He says.
I stare at him, not knowing what to say.
‘’There was supposed to be a rumble, tonight. I wanted Tony to be there, too. But while I was on my way, some of those Sharks caught me off guard, without my guys, and they just jumped me.’’
I listen to him as he goes on.
‘’See, for me, this whole rivalry is more about territory than it is about anything else.’’ He says. ‘’You know I wake up to everything I know either being sold, or wrecked, or being taken over by people that I don’t like. And they don’t like me.’’
I continue to watch him silently as he talks. That was as real as I could hope for.
He looks at me and for the first time I think he’s really looking at me. No stupid smile or smirk or dumb comment coming out of his mouth.
‘’And then there’s you.’’ He says. ‘’You see me lying in the street, good for nothing, nobody’d care if I was gone, and, without a second thought, you help me. After everything you heard about me. After what I said about your people and how I feel about the world, you still helped me. That ain’t something I was planning on. Now, what do I do with that?’’ His voice has somehow softened and he’s waiting for me to answer him now.
‘’See, you stop speaking like an idiot and for a minute there I may have even liked you.’’ I say and the stupid smile is back. But this time it’s warmer. Or maybe I’m just imagining things.
‘’You liked me, huh?’’ He’s smiling with his teeth now and I can’t look away. He has a nice smile.
‘’Don’t let it get to your head.’’ I can’t help but return the smile. He stares into my eyes, as if searching for something in them.
‘’You should get some rest. I’ll wake you up tomorrow before Tony and Valentina get back.’’ I tell him, breaking the tension by moving to get up. I feel his hand wrap around my wrist and he holds me back.
‘’You’re not staying?’’ There’s a hint of trouble in his voice. Like he’s daring me to.
‘’No.’’ I say, fighting back another smile.
‘’Why not?’’ He almost whines.
I think about it. Why not? Sure, Riff was an asshole and there’s not really any good reason I should stay with him tonight, but then again it’s not like I haven’t been with guys who are assholes before and I was in America now, why not have a little fun?
I shook my head.
‘’Riff, I know you think that us Latina girls will just sleep with anyone and even if that were true, I still wouldn’t want to do it with you.’’ I say, turning back around to face him fully.
‘’Damn,’’ he said, raising his eyebrows. ‘’Listen, I’m sorry for saying that last night, okay? It was out of line.’’ He says softly and if I didn’t know any better I’d think it even sounded genuine.
I almost can’t believe what I just heard him say. He’s sorry? That must be a first for him.
‘’Well, that’s nice, but I still stand by what I said.’’
‘’Hey, I didn’t say nothing about fooling around, all I want is you to say down here with me. Sit by the bed ’til I fall asleep?’’ He says it like a little kid.
I roll my eyes, but ultimately find no harm in doing what he says. As soon as I sit on the bed by him, he rests his head in my lap. Before I can object, he begins talking again.
‘’You know, this is how my ‘ma used to get me to sleep when I was little. There wasn’t no way I could fall asleep without her.’’ His words take me by surprise. I don’t say anything back, instead, I rest my hand on top of his head gently.
’’She used to sing to me, you know?’’ He tells me and a small smile escapes my lips.
‘’Ay, alright. I’ll sing for you, Riff.’’ I say, before beginning to sing a calm tune. It’s a lullaby in Spanish that Valentina used to sing to me when I was a little girl.
‘’Buenas noches mi amor
Cierra bien tus ojitos
Que la noche viene ya
Su canción te arrullará…’’
(‘’Goodnight My Love
Close your eyes well
The the night is coming
Her song will lull you…’’)
I begin to stroke his hair slowly and continue singing to him, noticing his breathing getting heavier and feeling how he has relaxed in my arms. He’s asleep.

The moment you had seen Jung Hoseok coming through the door, your eyes rolled.
Almost entirely made of large windows, the front of the coffee shop you worked in allowed you to see all the passers-by. So when you spotted your classmate coming down the street, laughing loudly with a couple of friends, you had prayed that he would just pass by.
Of course, you could never get what you wished for.
“Yoongi-“ you tried in vain to capture your friend’s attention, but too late. Yoongi hadn’t even looked around from where he was scrubbing coffee cups when a familiar voice reached your ears, making you groan internally.
“Y/N! Hard day at work? You look frazzled.”
“To what do I owe the pleasure?” you drawled, resigning yourself to serving him.
He simply leaned on the counter, sagging with laughter.
“Always service with a smile with you, isn’t it?”
“I’m sure you’d be just as tired if you even tried to focus in class,” you fired back.
His grin didn’t even falter. But at last, he dropped his teasing. With a scoff he ordered a tea and turned around, scrolling on his phone with his back to you as you got to work.
It seemed you had grabbed Yoongi’s attention after all, judging by the poorly-hidden snort from the washing up area.
Scowling, you chucked together a cup of tea distractedly, only too relieved when you pushed it over the counter to be rid of Hoseok. So when he sipped it only to wince in disgust, your heart sank.
“Jesus, where’s the caffeine? This is so weak.”
Your desire to argue back lost its short-lived wrestle with your customer service training, and you were reluctantly offering to make a new one. This time, you forced yourself to pay more attention. You knew that way, you could actually get rid of the nuisance on the other side of the counter.
“You see Y/N, the bag goes in the water,” Hoseok remarked, leaning over to see what you were doing.
Shooting the most passionate glare you could muster had the undesirable effect of sending him into peals of laughter.
Eventually, after making a point to leave the teabag in for much longer – at least until you noticed his fingers begin to tap on the countertop – you passed over his second cup with a sarcastic smile. His mood didn’t seem to have dampened that much, but he left without a fuss.
“You have great chemistry.”
The dry remark from behind you had you whirling around to glare at Yoongi instead. He stood in front of his stack of clean washing, observing you with a smirk.
“I don’t think Jung Hoseok knows what chemistry is,” you grumbled.
But as you set to work, a little aggressively, on scrubbing the counter, you never would have guessed how right you were. Or that it would soon become your responsibility.
Tumblr media
“So when we sleep, what part of the brain transfers memory from white to grey matter?”
“…what’s grey matter again?”
“I think you could do with some more of it,” you muttered in lieu of an answer.
Hoseok lifted his head from his arms just enough to fix you with reproachful puppy eyes. Sighing, you tugged the textbook back across the table towards you, flipping a few pages back and jabbing your finger at the relevant passage.
Raising an eyebrow, he read it for the second time today with a growing frown.
“Long term…” he said at length.
“Long term memory!” you groaned, dropping your forehead against the heel of your hands.
Behind you, you knew Jungkook and Yoongi were watching this unfold with amusement. You weren’t sure you could take much more of this.
If you had envisaged this when you had signed up for your college’s mentor program, well, you may have changed your mind.
At last, the hour dragged by. Apparently Hoseok wanted to be there as little as you, collecting the books and leaving very quickly once you were done. Though your shift was over, you were sure you might explode if you didn’t get to rant about the guy right now.
Huffing, you marched over to the counter.
“He’s such a jerk!” you threw your hands out, “his ego’s so big, it’s like he thinks he’s too good to even try! And now it’s up to me to make sure he isn’t so behind, but there is so much to do!”
Your coworkers weren’t helping. Both had given up suppressing their laughter, openly enjoying your pain.
“You guys are no help,” you grumbled, folding your arms.
“Just be patient,” Jungkook offered, “it might get better in time.”
“Patience is not something Jung Hoseok inspires,” you retorted, “and I’m being good enough as it is! I even had the generosity to lend him my textbook!”
“You’re a saint,” Yoongi chuckled.
A withering glare later, you slung your bag over your shoulder and bid your friends a tired goodbye.
Tumblr media
Much as you hated to admit it, there may have been some truth in what Jungkook told you. Patience did seem to be the key after all. A lot of patience.
A few more meetings had passed, and Hoseok remembered a lot more now. You weren’t sure whether it was due to the quality of your teaching or just a desire to avoid your constant scolding, but it didn’t matter too much. The result was what counted.
You were to meet again today. As always, he came as your shift finished so that you could work in the café.
“You like him really.”
Jungkook’s voice tore your eyes away from the clock you had been watching.
“I’m sorry?”
“You like him,” he repeated, “I’ve never seen you so impatient to get off work.”
“What? I’m not,” you scoffed, “it’s just-“
The little jingling bell above the door interrupted you. Never finishing your thought, you left Jungkook to meet Hoseok at the counter.
“Tea?” you asked him.
“Not if you’re making it,” he quipped, eyes already skimming the menu on the wall behind you.
You scoffed with a roll of your eyes, but said no more. Hoseok’s teasing eyes returned to you as he said,
“Think you can manage a hot chocolate?”
“Of course I can make hot cock-“ your eyes widened at your momentary slip “-chocolate. I can make hot chocolate-“
But for all your correcting and muttering, there was no hiding your embarrassing moment from Hoseok, whose eyes lit up with surprise before laughter spilled out of him in reams.
“I didn’t mean to make you so flustered, Y/N!” he cackled.
Biting your tongue, you hid your burning face from him as he half-collapsed against the counter with the force of his laughter. You angrily set to work on the drink, milk sloshing in the jug as you thrust it under the machine.
“With whipped scream on top too, huh?”
Hoseok’s incessant mocking didn’t stop until you had handed him the drink. If anything could prove to Jungkook just how wrong he was, this should do it. Still, you didn’t dare to turn around and see what your friend made of the situation.
Mixing the powder into the hot milk forcefully, you glared down at the cup.
Damn Jung Hoseok! He couldn’t be any more infuriating if he tried. It wasn’t your fault he was so annoying it made it hard for you to think straight. No one else managed to rile you up so much as him.
You gave him the drink with a side of deathly glare. It only served to amuse him more.
Safe to say you were dreading the next hour.
Clocking off soon after, you hung up your apron regretfully and headed across to your usual table. Thankfully Hoseok was a bit more subdued now.
Unfortunately, you were about to find out why.
“So, Y/N,” he started as you were sitting down.
This brought your attention to him straight away. Your eyes narrowed as he toyed with his mug on the table, avoiding your eyes.
“So, uh, that textbook you lent me-“
You had a bad feeling already. Looking around, you didn’t notice it on the usual pile of books.
“Where is it?” you cut him off.
At last he raised his head to meet your eyes, and you didn’t like what you saw.
“It’s not like we need it that badly anyway,” he began, though you weren’t sure you had ever heard him sound so hesitant, “we finished most of the stuff in there anyway…”
“You lost it, didn’t you?”
“Well, yeah. And I think I also spilled some-“
Not waiting for him to finish, you exclaimed your frustration.
“I can’t believe you! Just because you don’t see a use for ever picking up a book, I need that! I don’t have that kind of money spare either…”
As you raked a hand through your hair, Hoseok decided now was the time to be helpful.
“Gosh, I was afraid you would do this. We have a library for a reason, you know?”
Stopping your train of thought abruptly, you lowered your hand to glower at him.
“And now you’re going to make me go in the library? Ugh, you really have it out for me.”
Incredulous laughter followed. Hoseok leaned back in his chair, observing you with raised eyebrows.
“You’re telling me you believe in those stupid rumours?”
Shifting uncomfortably, you shrugged.
“Well, you’ve got to admit the place is creepy, right? And my flatmate said she knew that girl Cindy-“
As you spoke, Hoseok’s laughing grew louder, steadily filling the café until you were forced to stop.
“What?” you hissed.
“We’ve all heard about “Cindy”,” he made quotation marks in the air, “but that’s just a story! The older students made it up to scare newbies – and it would seem it worked. But everyone knows the scariest thing in the library is just the course reading.”
Biting your tongue, you didn’t muster up a response. You would only face more ridicule if you argued about this.
“Don’t forget the librarian,” you joked half-heartedly.
Hoseok chuckled lightly, and you were glad he dropped the topic after that.
But still the issue of your sorely misused textbook remained.
Tumblr media
There was nothing to be done. You had to go to the library.
It may seem a ridiculous thing to be scared of, especially for someone who loved books, but, as Hoseok had kindly refreshed your memory of, there were… stories. The campus library at your college warranted a degree of wariness.
Most commonly told was the story of Cindy, supposedly a student at the university many years before. No matter how dramatic the story was made, the essentials were the same; she had gone into the library and never come out.
Logically, you knew that this was just one of those quirky urban legends that came to surround certain places.
Nonetheless, your nerves only worsened as you entered the grand building.
On your way in, you only passed one other student. Most people were leaving uni at around this time, but you needed to hang around anyway because your shift was soon. You had sent a quick text to Yoongi to let him know you would be there once you found the book, and somehow it comforted you a little that someone else knew you were here.
Moving through the first few rows of tall bookshelves, you had to pass by the main desk on your way to the section you were looking for.
Doing your utmost to tread with care, sandals making as little noise as you could manage on the wooden floor, you walked on.
As you drew near, the librarian looked up. Greeting them with a bright smile, you didn’t let it show that your heart was really thumping in your chest.
Hurrying along, you only slowed once you had entered the right section. Near the back of the library, it was dimmer as no light from the window reached all the way into the corner. Utter silence dampened the air. Not even the rustling of the librarian sorting papers could be heard from here.
Alone with the hushed sound of your own breath, your eyes flicked along the rows, searching for the right name.
Spotting it at last, you wasted no time in reaching for it. But as you tried to slide it from its spot, you were met with resistance. Perhaps it was very tightly packed in its place.
You tried again with both hands. It was still wedged in, but you felt it give a little so kept pulling. You managed to tug it out a little way, but this time, the book tugged back. Holding onto it as tightly as you were, you stumbled forwards, nearly slipping out of one of your sandals.
Gulping, your brow creased. More determined this time, you tried once more, but it seemed the book only retreated further among its companions on the shelf.
Breathing heavily, you stepped back. Books were not meant to do this. You swore it had moved by itself.
Maybe Hoseok would call you crazy if this was your reason for not getting the textbook. But, you thought, staring back down the empty row of shelves, a science textbook was less important than not getting involved with the strange happenings of the library.
Already you were questioning your sanity. Books didn’t move.
Looking back at it once more, it appeared perfectly unassuming. There was nothing unusual about the book. Maybe your mind was playing tricks, driven from the fear you felt about this place.
Breathing deeply, you reached your hand out for one last try. Picking up a book couldn’t be that hard. As long as you didn’t fear it-
Your fingers came into contact with the spine, and not a moment later, the book shrunk right back. But though it shot out of sight between its neighbours, your hand was stuck to it. Your intent to snatch it straight back at any sign of movement failed, and you were yanked forwards.
Flying clean off your foot now, your sandal clattered to the floor among the silent shelves behind you.
Your stomach jerked at the sudden movement. Now, as you plunged towards the shelves, you screwed your eyes shut, anticipating the imminent collision.
None came.
Instead, your insides seemed to be suspended. You had not crashed, but still your feet didn’t meet the floor; though your eyes were closed you were certain you were falling.
Rapidly upping its pace, your heart tried to punch through your ribs the longer you were in this state, fearing your landing. Panicked, you took great gulps of air, limbs flailing fruitlessly.
You landed.
It felt like you had been falling for a long time – too long – yet the force you hit the ground with was not painful. For a second, it expelled air from your lungs, but by the time you had rolled and tumbled enough to land on your back, you were sucking in a shaky breath.
Blinking, you turned to look around you. Your arms struggled to push you from the ground, but you heaved to sit up anyway.
This was like nowhere you had ever been.
No parquet was beneath you here. The ground was earth, sparse tufts of grass growing from it. But in places, the foliage was abundant, great swathes of vibrant grass surrounding a nearby rock which protruded from the ground.
These rocks were also plentiful, though not of regular size. They poked from the ground, rough surfaces being seized by moss of all colours.
Other plants stretched higher still, all in shades of purple, green and blue. Climbing slowly to your feet, your eyes traced up the stem of a slender tree whose leaves drooped downwards with their size.
The only thing you could hope to recognise were roses that grew in places, curved petals familiar atop their stems that wound around larger plants.
In the scattered canopy above you, there appeared to be vines as well. Climbers, perhaps; it appeared as if they were winding around ceiling beams above you, except that they were in open air, pale sky stretching above them.
Very deliberately, you blinked.
Nothing changed.
Jaw hanging open, you turned slowly around. This place continued the same everywhere you looked. You certainly weren’t in the library anymore.
Taking some effort to breathe evenly, you forced your feet to still.
Remembering your phone, you quickly reached for it. But as you repeatedly pressed the power button, the screen remained black. Either you had let it run down, or it wouldn’t work in this alien place.
You replaced it in your pocket with bitter disappointment and continued to stand still, observing this place.
Purposefully, you walked towards the nearest rock. Given the way you were transported here, you were a little wary of touching random objects, but you tentatively reached for the mossy surface. Briefly grazing it, you jumped backwards, expecting something to happen.
Nothing. Just the springy surface of moss, solid and very real.
Staring at the rock, your mind ran in uncomprehending circles. How had you got here? Why? How could you get out?
Cutting through your thoughts, a thump came from behind you.
Startled, you jumped around, eyes darting in panic around the world you had found yourself in. Nothing seemed to have moved…
A cough, followed by a groan, drifted from somewhere.
Frown deepening, you stepped forwards. A few paces brought you around the next rock, bigger than the last. Not only was it taller than you, it was bordered on one side by more of the tall plants, blocking your view of what was behind it.
This was definitely where the sounds were emanating from. As you cautiously rounded the boulder, rustling sounds reached your ears.
Reaching the trees, you peered between two dark blue trunks. Every muscle in your body was tense, ready to spring away at the first sign of danger.
Instead, you were greeted with the shape of a person. They wore a dark jacket, their hair also dark, but they were facing away from you where they sat.
For a moment you stood frozen. You were divided: should you announce yourself? Maybe they could help you? But for all you knew, they might not feel kindly towards you. What would another person be doing in this strange place?
Before you had the chance to decide, let alone move, the person slumped backwards to lie down, huffing a great sigh as they went.
Your eyes widened. Now you could see their face — and you certainly hadn’t expected this.
“Hoseok?”
Squeezing between the trees, you pushed your way into the small clearing he lay in. On hearing your voice, he twisted towards you with wide eyes.
“Y/N?” he jumped up, eyeing you suspiciously, “what is this place?”
“I have no idea,” you answered honestly. Then, “what are you doing here?”
Echoing your earlier words, he said, “I have no idea.”
After a moment, he seemed to remember something and looked around sharply.
“I found this,” he told you, pointing at the ground some feet away. There lay your sandal from earlier.
“Oh. Thank you.”
You flashed an awkward smile and went to pick it on, sliding it back onto the foot it had lost not long ago. Then your silence resumed.
Briefly, you did nothing but stare at each other. Then you stared again at the bizarre scenery around you.
Hoseok was first to move. Apparently becoming tired of your company so soon, he turned away with hands on his hips and began to pick through the undergrowth, which was thicker here than where you had first landed.
Even if this was all the company you were granted, you were eager to keep it, and so followed him.
A few minutes passed. Eerie silence was all around, save for the tentative brush of your footsteps against plants. He hadn’t complained about your presence, though, so you eventually decided it safe to speak.
“Did you… fall here?” you ventured.
His eyes snapped back to you. With a nod, he confirmed it.
“From the library?”
Slowing down, he allowed you to catch up and walk at his side.
“Yeah, why? You too?”
“That’s what happened to me,” you nodded, “but… what were you doing in the library?”
But Hoseok never heard those last words. A deafening, crunching crash resounded through your quiet conversation, drowning you out.
Both of you reacted quickly, spinning to the source of the monstrous sound in fear. Your hammering heart only sped up as you located a dark shape above the treetops.
“There!” you cried, grabbing onto Hoseok’s sleeve.
He spotted it as you pointed, for it was rapidly growing, soaring towards you.
“What is that?” he yelled, stumbling backwards.
You had nothing to offer in reply, instead watching with wide eyes as the creature flew closer still. Still grasping at Hoseok’s sleeve, you tugged at it, looking around for the nearest cover. He made no move. Struck dumb with awe, he seemed to be rooted to the spot.
Turning back to the sky, you were panicked to see the beast drawing closer. You could make out a long snout protruding from its head, spiny wings beating slowly and yet carrying it swiftly over the land.
The monster was enormous, blocking out a chunk of the open sky.
Not wanting to hesitate any longer, you pulled Hoseok forcefully with you as you retreated under the cover of a thick patch of foliage. He complied, still unable to tear his gaze from the flying creature.
You almost daren’t look, even now you were secluded among shadow. But curiosity overcame you.
It was near enough on top of you now. You held your breath, terror washing over you at the sight of it, close enough now that you could make out scales on the thing’s large belly. They glimmered a blazing red as it moved.
But its pace was fast, and it continued quickly, long tail etching a path through the sky behind it.
“Was that…” you breathed, after you felt enough time had passed to be safe. But your thought was too absurd for you to speak out loud.
However, Hoseok finished it for you.
“A dragon?”
Both of you slowly turned to face each other, matching expressions of perplexed shock painting your faces. You opened and closed your mouth, but no words presented themselves.
Your gaze was only severed by the return of the same cacophony to the air that had first heralded the dragon. Only now, it was louder.
Ducking by reflex, you whipped around. Above the treetops, the dragon was returning.
Still filling the air, the sound was that of treetops rupturing as the scaled beast flew low over them, snapping them like matchsticks. Once again, it seemed like the thing was coming straight towards you.
“Let’s move,” you shouted over the noise.
Hoseok didn’t need telling twice.
Side by side, you raced between trees, feet and clothes catching on leaves and vines that spanned the floor. Plunging on nonetheless, you kept your eyes set determinedly ahead.
By the time your lungs demanded you stop for breath, you were sure you must have gone a considerable distance from where you had first been hiding. But the deafening crashes from above had become no quieter.
Slowing down, you sagged against a tree as you gasped for air. Just in front of you, Hoseok looked around, finding you holding yourself up shakily against the trunk.
With a look to the sky and back at you, his face sank further, eyes wide and afraid.
“Y/N!” he cried.
Lifting your head, you met his eyes. Still panting, you turned to follow a finger he raised as he took trembling steps backwards.
Overhead, the leaves seemed to shake. A shadow was sliding along the forest floor as above it, twigs and branches rained down, bouncing from their lower counterparts until they disappeared into the shrubbery.
The dragon was following you.
“Come on!” Hoseok’s voice reached you somewhere among the din.
Spinning, you found him holding a hand out to you, gesturing maniacally for you to continue. You had barely caught your breath, but forced yourself to push away from the tree and run towards him once more.
What did surprise you was that he waited for you. When you came within reach, his outstretched hand was grabbing you, pulling you along at his side.
But there was no time to think of that. Chest heaving with exertion, you willed your feet to move faster underneath you in an attempt to flee the dragon.
All at once, the tall tree trunks you had been running between, almost dense enough to form a forest, stopped. Realising too late, the two of you shot from the cover at full speed, only to find yourselves utterly exposed.
Skidding to a stop, you looked to Hoseok in panic.
Before you could take another step, shadow fell over you again, but it was not cast by harmless trees. The roar of splintering branches grew to an overwhelming crescendo as the dragon caught sight of you and dived, uncaring for the insignificant wood pushed aside by its bulk.
Beside you, Hoseok screamed hoarsely. Together you fled backwards, knowing there was no hope of outrunning your pursuer.
In a few seconds, the beast had descended, giant nostrils flaring at your eye level. Curved fangs gnashed.
With horror, you saw a glow brighten the deep tunnels atop its snout.
In the corner of your eye, you spotted another rock, rough surface towering from the ground. You barely had time to think before you were shoving Hoseok to the side so you fell together behind the barrier. Not a moment later, blazing orange flared, obscuring all other sights as fire erupted from the monster’s jaws and nostrils.
You gave no thought to the position you had fallen in, your push having left you tumbling directly on top of Hoseok. His scream rang in your ears, only rivalled by the crackling heat in the air as his arms wrapped around you. You too were curling up, hands shielding your head in some attempt to shelter.
Thankfully, the rock you had chosen was one of the larger ones and took the brunt of the blast.
Not that it encouraged you much, considering the persistence the beast had shown so far. The dying away of the heat and fire only brought on dread, gnawing low and incessant in your stomach, of the next blast.
Barely daring to breathe, you stayed still, huddling against Hoseok, who did the same.
Any moment, you expected another massive roar to rip through the air. A swipe of the malicious claws or the sizzling heat of dragon flame. The longer you waited, the harder your heart rioted in your chest.
“Students.”
You jolted violently as a loud voice resonated through the air. But it was not the dragon.
Looking around showed you no one who the voice might belong to.
“It is gone,” the voice said.
Hoseok’s hold around you was loosening. Swallowing, you became aware of your proximity and carefully extracted yourself, not looking him in the eye as you moved to sit next to him instead.
It was true that no indicator of the dragon’s presence had made itself known, but you were not inclined to trust a faceless voice. You crawled to peer around the edge of the rock. Finding the space empty, you emerged further.
The clearing was totally deserted. The only evidence of the recent fearful moments was the debris of burnt leaves and broken branches scattered across the ground.
“Who are you?” Hoseok raised his voice, though it shook a little.
You returned to his side, the voice replying as you sunk down beside him.
“Students,” the voice repeated. It was level and calm, but awfully cold. The word was spoken with disdain. “I doubt you would recognise such a voice as mine. You young humans know not the value of words, of books. I am the librarian.”
You blinked in surprise. Next to you, Hoseok sat forward from the rock you leaned against.
“You are? Can you get us out of here?” he yelled, aiming his voice at the sky for lack of target for his pleas.
“Certainly not. I am the keeper of this land. You see, due to the neglect of your kind, my creatures are only kept alive through written word, and I cannot let them be endangered. Students are all the same. Careless. I do not appreciate those who vandalise or waste the knowledge granted them through books. And so, I cannot let you take another one.”
“It’s just a science textbook,” you muttered.
Meanwhile, Hoseok was growing more desperate.
“We won’t!” he called, “just let us out!”
Ringing silence was all he received in reply.
Eventually, he flopped back against the rock with a huff. Worrying your lip, you turned to him, though you had nothing to propose for what you should do next.
His hair was a dishevelled now, strands falling into his eyes which he now turned to you. To your surprise, his mouth curved back into a smile, breathy laughs bursting from him as he rested his head back on the rock.
He shook his head.
“This is crazy.”
You had to agree.
Turning your despairing eyes away and to the surrounding forest again, you were surprised to see movement among the trees. But this creature was not enormous or fire-breathing. A sandy-coloured tail waved, blurring in the air.
Bounding through the trees and coming to a stop at the forest edge, came a labrador.
Staring in bemusement, you found the dog looking right back at you. It was panting, mouth open in a smiley-looking shape. Its tail continued wagging enthusiastically behind it.
Just as you opened your mouth to tell Hoseok, the dog went rigid, body jerking as it barked across the space.
Sitting up straight, Hoseok spotted the dog as well, and together you watched it.
The dog watched back, standing still as if waiting for something. It reminded you of the way your flatmate’s dog used to wait for you to throw the ball when you played with her.
After another minute of stillness, it barked again, then turned and ran. You jumped to your feet as the yellow tail went wagging away through the shadows.
“What are you-“ Hoseok exclaimed as you started towards the trees, following the dog’s path.
Already tired, your legs lagged behind the dog’s pace and you nearly lost sight of the sandy fur. But you kept your eyes trained on it. This animal did not seem unfriendly, or angry. Something told you that you could trust it.
“Where are you going?”
You hadn’t noticed the pursuing footsteps until Hoseok was grabbing your arm, forcing you to stop. Looking around at him in annoyance, you shrugged him off and turned back around. But you had lost sight of the dog now, finding the forest empty.
Your shoulders slumped.
“I was trying to do something to get us out of here-“
“By getting more lost?”
Hoseok’s eyes blazed with anger and he threw his arms out to punctuate his yell with frustration. Opening your mouth, you returned his outrage.
“We’ve been lost since we got here! We don’t know anything about this place, but we can’t just do nothing!”
“What can we do? You heard what the librarian said.”
His volume had lowered and he took a step back.
Breathing out, you did the same, noticing only now how you had crowded each other’s space in your anger. Swallowing down your own frustration, you levelled your gaze at him. His words spoke of despair.
Sighing, you pushed a hand through your hair.
“There’s no use in fighting,” you muttered, “and I’m scared too. But we have to try.”
Lifting his eyes to you, Hoseok felt then as if he was seeing you for the first time.
You shared his fear, and had spoken that out loud, but still the steely glint never left your eyes. Rather than run or hide, you stood tall, resolved to find a way out, no matter how hopeless this crazy turn of events seemed.
“Hoseok?” you called, rendered hesitant by his silence.
Giving his head a quick shake, he averted his gaze from you.
“Hobi,” he spoke.
You frowned.
“I’m sorry?”
“Call me Hobi,” he repeated, “if we’re stuck here forever, I won’t be able to stand it if you call me Hoseok all the time.”
“Oh. Okay.”
Taking that to be some odd form of agreement, you turned around and started to pick your way again through the forest, no matter how blindly. The only vague thing guiding you was the notion that the dog had left this way, but that certainty grew weaker with time.
The only thing bolstering you were the steady steps of Hobi right beside you. A reminder you weren’t alone here.
“Sorry for losing your textbook.”
Smile quirking your lips, you turned to Hobi. He was steadfastly ignoring your gaze, kicking his feet through the low undergrowth while his hands were buried in his pockets.
“If you hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t be here now,” you hummed.
That caught his attention.
“Hey! At least I’m apologising!”
“Doesn’t fix the fact we’re lost in… well, wherever this is,” you chuckled, “though I’m sure it’s worked out well for you.”
“What do you mean?”
“If I hadn’t come here to replace my textbook, you would be here all alone.”
Hoseok simply tilted his head in vague answer.
After a few short moments of quiet, you resumed the conversation.
“So, what were you in the library for?”
He let silence stretch out for longer than you expected, and you slowed your steps to look at him. His eyes were wide, and when he spoke, it was with a nervous smile, as if he wasn’t sure he should be smiling.
But he was too quiet, and all you heard was something that sounded like ‘yuzbook’.
“Sorry?” you frowned.
With a long-suffering sigh, he finally spoke up.
“I was looking for your science book as well.”
Your eyebrows shot upwards.
“You were?”
“Yes.”
“I thought you had decided it was my responsibility? Even though you lost it.”
“Exactly, I had lost it. I felt bad.”
“Ha!” you exclaimed, jumping around to dance in front of him, “Jung Hoseok admits remorse! What is the world coming to?!”
“I told you to call me Hobi,” he grumbled.
A smile was still bursting at your lips, but you calmed down and returned smugly to his side.
“My bad. Hobi wanted to do something nice! For me, of all people! Maybe this really is a dream…”
“You dream about me?” he grinned, teasing right back.
“Eugh, of course not,” you scoffed.
His laughter filled the forest, and you were glad of it. At length, it faded and you walked on.
“But, turns out you were right to be scared of the library,” he admitted quietly.
Simply nodding, you kept going. By now you had lost all hope to have remained on course with the dog you had seen earlier, but there was little use dwelling on that.
Most of the way, you had been trekking through forest, but now the trees were thinning. Once again, they began to be clustered in patches near protruding rocks.
Coming between two waist-height boulders, you found a pond lying cradled by short grasses and more rose plants.
Agreeing on a break, you and Hobi slumped down at its bank, though you also agreed not to drink it. Hobi seemed much more distrustful of everything you came across in this curious land than you, but there was no harm in caution, you supposed. It was true that, on getting closer to the water, it appeared to glimmer silver.
What that meant, you didn’t know, but didn’t care to investigate.
Reclining on the ground, you breathed deeply. The pond was in a large clearing, similar to the first place you had crash landed in. You couldn’t escape some dread that all this time had brought you in a mere circle to the beginning, but there was no way to be certain.
Forest lined one side of the oasis, while the other stretched away, obscured behind that rocky landscape dotted with an array of foliage.
As you scanned the area idly, a familiar blur of motion had you sitting up with a yelp.
“There! Did you see that!” you cried, but began running without waiting for a reply.
Twisting to attention, Hobi clumsily took to his feet after you.
“You sure?” he called after you.
You kept running. You had seen it – it had been right here. You were certain it was trying to lead you somewhere, and you felt compelled to follow it.
Plunging between rocks, Hobi’s slower steps faded behind you. Uncaring, you continued, eyes alert for any sign of your goal.
And there it was: another brief glimmer from just beyond the next clump of plants. You were so close. This time, you were going to reach it. It would get you out of here.
Still running, you didn’t care that the way wound deeper through the terrain, nor that the world around you darkened as you went. No, your mind was set. You kept moving.
When you finally reached what seemed to be the midst of the darkness, it never occurred to you that this was never what you had been looking for. All you were filled with was delight; in the middle of the dark clearing stood a grove of roses. They were taller than the roses you had seen so far, growing thickly and close together.
In the blackness, the petals emitted a soft glow that shone through their delicate veins.
A smile curved your lips. But as you took a slow step towards the luminescence, something emerged from behind them. It became clear that the roses themselves were not glowing, but the creature. A unicorn.
White coat shimmering with its every move, it seemed to glide over the landscape. The slender horn protruding from its head appeared crafted by the finest silversmith, with hints of colours dancing along it even in darkness.
All breath was stolen from you. Your startled exhale left a cloud lingering in the air beside your lips which glittered as the majestic animal walked in front of you.
Either it didn’t see you, or didn’t mind your presence, because it proceeded perfectly calmly. Keeping your eyes fixed on it, your feet stumbled after the serene creature without you willing them to.
You barely blinked as you followed the graceful unicorn, desperate to keep your eyes on it. You couldn’t have torn them away if you wanted to. Just watching the animal had all your tension melting away: legs feeling heavy, mind fogging. All your worries dissipated as easily as smoke in the wind.
The world was silent. It was as if your ears were plugged as you reached out, somehow confident enough to touch the noble beast.
Another step closer.
Your fingers stretched out, ready to meet the sleek, glowing coat-
“Y/N!”
A blow knocked you sideways, a weight falling with you as the shout of your name rung loudly in your ears. For a split second, you winced, expecting to be crushed on the ground, but already a hand shielded your head. Instead, you landed on a body, held securely in the person’s arms.
Gasping, you found yourself breathless. Your gaze had been severed on being tackled, and now that you blinked, dark clouds seemed to lift from your vision.
Looking around wildly, you were slow to come to your senses, but the person was already shifting.
“We need to move.”
That voice was familiar. Looking around, you found Hoseok’s eyes trained on you as he struggled to stand with your weight against him.
Clumsily getting your feet underneath you, your mouth opened, but a shriek filled the air before you could speak.
Clapping your hands over your ears, you winced at the piercing wail splitting the air.
Hoseok, however, wasted no time. He grasped your wrist, pulling you stumbling across the clearing behind him as he sprinted away.
Wide-eyed and breathless, you twisted to look behind you. The unicorn was still there, but it wasn’t glowing, just plain white. But your eyes only caught it for a second, before a darker shape was swooping from the sky.
Feet pounding, you fled the shrieking beast as it descended in a rush of feathers.
Glinting talons flashed, inches in front of your face as the bird-like shriek reached its peak.
And then you were plunged into shadow, squeezed between leaves and petals.
Hoseok slowed, dropping your hand, but you were practically frozen. You staggered backwards, eyes trained on the spot those razor sharp claws had been.
Above you, the shrill cry was quieting, echoing around the land as your attacker circled higher once more.
“What… what was that?” you panted.
“That was close,” Hoseok responded, no humour in his voice. “I was calling to you! Why didn’t you move?”
“You were?” you frowned, “I-I didn’t hear. I don’t know what happened.”
Light frown creasing his brow, Hobi looked seriously down at you. Swallowing, he looked you over. Your heart still trembled, trying to take in what had just happened, and you looked up at him fearfully. Was he angry?
Fixing his eyes on your own, Hobi stepped forward, bending to draw your faces closer together. Holding your breath, you stiffened, heart rate rocketing as his breath fell warm over your cheeks.
Then he reached his hand out. You forced yourself to hold his gaze, not sure why your face was growing hotter under his scrutiny.
His fingers met your hair. They pulled gently at a strand.
“You had this in your hair.”
Blinking, you found him holding a rose petal up, the hint of a smirk playing on his lips.
“Right. Thank you,” you spoke awkwardly, snatching it from his hand.
“Let’s stay here for a bit,” he said then, turning around as if nothing had happened. However, you didn’t complain. You didn’t want him to see your burning cheeks.
Hobi had pulled you into the grove of roses you had seen earlier, which grew some way above your heads. The bushes were close together, providing the perfect cover. You heard no more of the shrieking monster as you walked after him through the plants.
Beautiful flower heads were nestled everywhere, the graceful bundles of petals peering at these strangers walking through their home.
Eventually, Hobi came to a halt. When you stopped at his side, he pushed aside some leaves to show you what lay beyond.
You had reached the other side of the grove and a new clearing lay before you. Unlike the other places you had been, there were no tall trees or wide rocks rising from the ground. At last it was flat.
But, most noticeably, in the middle of the clearing there was a building. Deep blue walls rose from a gold base, thin pillars winding upwards to support the corners of the many-sided roof. Small arched windows were set high up in the walls, through which you could see a silvery glow from inside.
Hobi looked around the space before emerging. No longer impatient, you wholly agreed with his caution and also peered out carefully.
As you remained mostly hidden by the roses, something came running around the house.
The dog.
Same as before, it stood looking at you, smiling mouth and wagging tail welcoming.
First, you looked to Hobi.
“What do you think?”
“You were right,” he replied, “the dog seems alright. We should give it a shot.”
Smiling, you felt assured now you were in agreement. Not stopping to think too much about the action, you placed your hand resolutely in Hobi’s and stepped forwards.
This time the dog did not begin running away, waiting for you by the blue house wall instead. As the two of you drew closer, you bent a little, holding your hand out to the creature.
“Hi!” you cooed, ignoring Hobi’s light scoff from beside you.
The dog poised as if it would bark back, but instead it looked towards the house. Following its gaze, you looked through the window and instantly fell silent.
Inside, a figure was sitting, though you could only see their head and shoulders – and a pair of wings. They fluttered lazily, glinting in the silvery light.
“The librarian,” Hobi murmured.
Nodding, you looked back to the dog.
“Will you help us?” you whispered.
Its tail wagged harder.
Smiling, you reached out to give it a gentle pat, ruffling the soft fur between its ears.
Satisfied, the sandy blond animal turned around, tail blurring all the while. It trotted away, leading you around the house. On passing the windows, you both ducked, fearing what the faerie would do if they discovered you here.
A short dash, looking over your shoulders, and you finally reached a thick row of trees. Squeezing behind the large trunks, you were surprised to see large wooden doors waiting for you.
If not for the lingering worry of the librarian somewhere nearby, you would have laughed out loud.
Hobi rushed forwards, grasping the dogs ears and ruffling them enthusiastically.
“You got us out!” he whispered happily.
You were amused to see the dog’s smiling mouth grow wider, tongue hanging out with his praise.
Jumping up with a brilliant grin, Hobi walked to the door. Waiting by the handle, he let you also say goodbye to your four-legged saviour.
“Thank you,” you told it with a loving pat. For a moment, you looked into the dog’s eyes, wishing you could somehow convey your gratitude.
Then a thought came over you. Tilting your head, you frowned slightly.
“Cindy?”
The dog’s tail whirred back into motion, hopping up and down a little at the name.
Breaking into a smile, you patted it affectionately.
“Good girl, Cindy,” you grinned, “thank you.”
Then you stood to join Hobi’s side. He lifted the great handle, which made a concerning thunk in the quiet.
Hurriedly slipping through, you fell against the other side of the wood as he followed and shut it firmly behind him. You were back at the entrance of the library, the glass doors at the front of the foyer showing the road beyond it, no different than ever as cars and pedestrians hurried along.
“Who let someone like that work in a school?” you laughed, incredulous.
Hobi laughed loudly at last, the sound bringing a bigger grin to your face.
You had made it out.
All of a sudden, a pinging sound rang from your pocket, soon over taken by at least five more.
Pulling out your phone, you found it alive again, the screen lit up and full of messages.
“Yoongi’s wondering where I am,” you muttered, “my shift…”
Hobi pushed away from the wooden door, starting to walk with you across the entrance hall. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, he nodded.
“Yeah, um, I should get going too, I guess.”
Opening the main doors, you stood outside on the steps, at a loss. A bus rumbled past.
“Okay,” you spoke at length, “yeah. Er, see you around.”
Smiling briefly, Hobi took a few hesitant steps back before he committed to walking away. One last wave and he was engulfed by the crowd on the street.
You sighed and set off in the opposite direction.

The bell clinked, swinging wildly above the door as you hurried over to the counter.
“I’m so sorry I’m late,” you spoke as you set your stuff down.
Turning to lean against the counter, Yoongi shrugged.
“’s’alright. Where were you though?”
“Ah…”
What were you meant to say? Your head was still spinning from everything that had passed, but you knew no one would believe you if you told them the truth. Shifting a little, your teeth nipped at your lower lip while you tried to come up with a reasonable excuse.
Meanwhile, a knowing look was sliding onto Yoongi’s face.
“I see,” he grinned, and then, to your mortification, winked!
“No, you don’t- that’s not-“ you protested, but he was already snickering and turning back to the washing up.
Shaking your head, you concluded that whatever his belief was would make as good as excuse as any. At least he had made it up for you, saving the hassle.
You got to work.

Over the next couple of days, everything ran like normal. Except for you, nothing was normal.
You still had no idea how such a small amount of time had passed while you and Hobi were busy running for your lives in fear of the librarian and their crazed world. You had barely been late for your shift afterwards; when it was time for bed you had collapsed straight in, feeling as if you had been awake for two days straight.
Of course, you had never gone back for that textbook.
In college the next day, you had taken a detour to class, stubbornly avoiding the building that had all but kidnapped you, wondering at the fact no one else seemed to realise.
At the café later on, you waited impatiently for any sign of Hobi outside. He was the one person you desperately wanted to see. Surely he must be feeling the same? He would understand.
But you waited and waited, serving countless other customers without much thought. He never came, and so you were left to question your own sanity by yourself.
Nothing about your impromptu adventure made sense.
If it had been real, why didn’t Hobi act like anything had changed? You certainly couldn’t pretend that nothing had been altered between you while you had been trapped in that strange world inside the library.
Perhaps it had been a dream. All of it seemed so implausible that even recollecting it sent you spiralling with more questions.
But there was one hope. Even if Hobi remembered nothing of what transpired, you were still supposed to tutor him. You would see him next week, and try to assess what he might remember.
So when your phone buzzed that night, screen lighting up with a message from him at last, you had expected to arrange this week’s session. But all it said was: come outside.
Though you frowned, you weren’t going to pass up this chance.
Sliding off your bed, you quickly stuffed your feet into your slippers and tried your best not to break into a run on the way to the door. Collecting yourself first with a deep breath, you pulled it open.
The first thing you took in was empty space outside your door. Blinking at it, you couldn’t prevent the disappointment from creeping in. But then your eyes flickered downwards.
There at your feet lay a rose.
Your lips parted in wonder as you stooped to pick it up. Taking it between your fingers, you rolled it gently there. It was the exact same as those delicate flowers that had filled the grove where you sheltered together in the library.
A smile tugged at your mouth. It only grew as you remembered the identical petal Hobi had pulled from your hair.
He remembered.
The relief that washed over you was dizzying. Clutching the flower to your chest, you smiled out of your doorway once more, silently thanking Hobi.
But you wouldn’t have to be silent for long. Your eyes landed on a figure leaning against a lamppost a few metres away, smiling right back at you.
As your eyes met, Hobi stood straighter. His mouth shifted to a radiant grin. He had come back to you.

Dark Andy x Reader
The parking garage was partially empty compared to when you first arrived to work. Your heels echoed off the cement garage walls as you searched for where you parked. Some days you were lucky to park on L3 the prized spot closest to the ground, but today you were late and in your hurry you couldn't remember if you were on L5 or L8.
With the car fob in hand you press the unlock button. The familiar beep signaled that you were further away than you anticipated.
*Honk
The loud car horn from behind had you jumping out of your skin and screeching at the top of your lungs. With your heart hammering in your chest you turned only to be immediately blinded by the car behind you.
Blocking the light with your hand, you realized you were wondering in the middle of the driving path. "Sorry" you shouted back, moving over to allow them to pass you.
The black sedan creeped up and idled beside you. You clutched your purse and moved over closer to the side as the window rolled down. You didn't have mace, but you were sure your purse was heavy enough to wheeled as a weapon.
"Sorry I scared you" Andy leaned over, smiling as he looked up at you. It was slightly jarring seeing him like that. He had been extremely combative towards your boss during the deposition, each session ending in a screaming match.
Mr. Thomas, the defense attorney you paralegal for, had always been mild tempered. The objections during Mr. Thomas's cross drew an ire that you had never witnessed before. It was as if he sought to provoke him on purpose. Tempers were so high that Judge Peters threatened both sides with contempt, forcing several recesses to cool them off.
A process that normally lasted a few hours somehow turned into three grueling days of high tensions and long nights going over transcripts.
"Sorry I was in the way. I forgot where I parked." You jiggled your keys, almost embarrassed.
"Get in I'll help you find it. It's really late and you shouldn't be walking alone in the garage like this."
The offer was nice, but getting into the car of opposing console would surely be frowned apron at your firm.
You were about to protest when he unlocked the passenger door. With a sigh of defeat you got inside. Thankfully Mr. Thomas parked in reserved parking on the lower levels. Far from the general parking on the upper floors that you used.
"I assume your late because of me" he laughed lightly as he slowly drove on.
"Yeah its safe to say you are correct" you dryly chuckled as you hid low in the seat. The garage was slightly empty, but you didn't want to take the chance of being seen as doing something inappropriate. Idiot why did you get in the car?
Aside from him being apposing console Mr.Barber made you feel uneasy. During the hours long deposition you would feel a weird tingle, that made you look up from your notepad only to look up and lock eyes with the DA. You shrugged it off as an intimidation tactic used to get under the skin of the opposition.
---
Clicking your fob again you listened for your car, but somehow you were now further than you were originally. "Oh gosh can we turn back? I think I' m further up."
Andy nodded as he continued down the path. The signs above indicating 'More parking turn left' and 'Exit turn right'.
"Why are you still here?" You questioned him as you searched. The deposition ran long, but it ended hours ago.
"Oh.." He said caught off guard as he made a right turn toward the exit. "I spotted an old colleague John Wilson. We chatted for a bit, didn't and realize how late it was until the old ball and chain called."
Your office had a few former district attorneys. Most left the DA's office for the more lucrative life of defense.
"Um Mr.Barber.. you needed to make the left to go back into the garage." You pointed back when Andy made the right turn toward the garage exit.
"You know I'm impressed by your professionalism." Andy ignored and continued down the wrong path. "Thomas is lucky to have you on his team" he explained as he rolled to a stop behind a car inline to exit.
"Um thank you." You shifted in your seat at the impromptued complement. You hadn't done anything special or out of the ordinary. You just took notes like any other paralegal would.
Was he head hunting you? You heard about big firms doing stuff like that, but not for paralegals that were a dime a dozen.
Andy made no effort to change course and you felt increasingly uncomfortable as he inched closer to the exit.
"Um...you know I will just get security to escort me to my car from here." You pointed at the man in the glass box guarding the exit. "Thank you" you reached over to touch the door handle and heard an immediate click of the lock snapping shut.
"Don't move a muscle." You froze at his command.
"I wouldn't get out if I were you." He warned glancing at the rear-view. "Your boss might frown at you getting out of the apposing consoles car."
Stiffly you turned to peak over your seat, a cold chill fell over your body at the sight of Mr. Thomas car waiting in line behind Andy's in the queue. If you got out now you would be in deep shit. You slunk down low in the seat, in a veiled effort to hide. You shouldn't have gotten in this car. What the hell were you thinking?
"Come work for me" Andy casually grabbed his ticket to feed to the machine as he rolled to a stop. So this was just a job offer? If that was the case you were sure there were better ways to go about it. You had a nice chemistry with the old defense attorney and you were not interested in the stress of the DA's office or the pay cut you were sure to get.
"Um I'm not looking for a new job." You rejected him nervously. Hoping he would turn around and let you out.
"At least here my offer."
It seemed as you had no choice in the matter as he proceeded to pull out onto the road.
Your lips pressed into a frown. If you placate him, maybe he would let you go. He was a DA after all he wasn't going to hurt you tried to convince yourself.
"Fine, what is it?"
---
"Come work for me and I don't charge you with witness tempering"
Your eyes went wild at the allegation. "What!"
A lot of firms were dirty, but yours was not one of them. The cases you handled with Mr. Thomas didn't even rise to that level. At most he handled cases of over zealous brokers, financial fraud cases or embezzlement. The only time you ever came in contact with a witness Mr.Thomas was there with you. And even if it did you would never take penitentiary chances to get a leg up on the competition.
"Don't worry it's not true. I know your a good girl" he glanced over at you with a smirk. The praise graded you as you sat still stunned. "But that won't stop me from charging you. I'm willing to bet that until you get yourself untangled from the mess I am going to make of your life, your boss and his associates wouldn't think twice about letting you go."
You stared at him in disbelief. You barely said two words to this man, yet he was ready to blow up your life. And for what? For you to work for him? "And from what I know of paralegal salaries I would bet you could afford a public defender at best."
"Mr. Thomas would defend me" you scoffed.
"I wouldn't count on it. Because I would take him down too if he tried." He was serious.
You fell back on the seat as your head swam with the madness. You tried to think what you could've done to bring this on.
--
You had been to the DA's office a handful of times so when you saw the familiar building in the horizon you shrunk further in the leather seat.
Andy pulled into a reserved parking spot as the clock crept closer to midnight.
You didn't belong here. Maybe if you got out you could run for it. Make a mad dash somewhere and call the cops. But what would you say? The DA threatened you with a job, kidnapped you and took you to his office? They would think you were insane.
"Let's start your interview." He announced as he killed the engine. You pursed your lips and frowned deeply.
You were being made to interview for a job you didn't want nor ask for.
“Please, I have to get home.”
Andy paid you no mind, slamming the door in the face of your plea. Your eyes followed him as he headed toward the stone steps to the building.
What did he expect for you to do? Show up tomorrow at your office and sit on prosecutions side? You doubted the judge nor your boss would allow that to fly.
You watched him as you stayed paralyzed in the car. This had to be a joke or a dream. Had you slipped in the parking garage earlier and bumped your head. You tried pinching yourself to snap out of it only to be disheartened by the gravity of this situation.
---
Andy led you down the empty hallways, until he stopped at a door that bared his name.
You stood back while he unlocked it and motioned you to go inside. You couldn't move, dread cemented you in place. It was a miracle he had got you to come this far.
Andy tsked and shook his head in disappointment as he walked inside.
You tried to play back every encounter, every word you could've uttered that could've spearheaded this, but there was nothing.
You would've been surprised if he even knew your name, you couldn't even recall it being mentioned during the depositions.
While you drowned in despair Andy shimmed out of his blazer, tossing it on a chair off to the side.
"You're wasting your potential with Thomas" Andy declared, perching himself on the edge of his desk.
"I can tell your very focused and career driven." He continued on. It was surreal, watching him unbutton and roll up his sleeves. Like a disappointed father ready to reprimand their child.
"I noticed it from the start." The anticipation of what was to come became too much under the weight of his stare. You hugged yourself defensively while warm Tears streamed down your cheek.
It was as if he were a wolf ready to swallow you whole. You squeezed your eyes shut unable to hold his stare.
"Eyes on me" he said firmly. You sniffed uncontrollably as you forced them back open. "Good girl" Andy praised, adjusting his cock. He delighted in this, wetting his bottom lip, reveling in your discomfort.
"With a little more discipline and guidance you will reach your full potential. And I want to help you do that" Andy grunted as he loosened then knot of his tie.
Andy stayed sat before you unmoved by your tears as he slipped the fabric from around his neck, pulling it taunt with one hand while wrapping it around the other.
"You just need a firm hand to mold you. Or you can stay out there and watch as I turn your world upside down."
What could you say? He had you where he wanted you. You held your head low, sobbing to yourself as you approached him. You were no match for the power of the DA's office.
Andy rose from his perch and circled you like a shark with blood in the water. "Hands behind your back." He whispered into the shell of your ear. You looked back at him eyes wet with tears pleading. He sighed disappointed again taking matters into his own hands. You whimpered as he pried your hands from their hold, forcing them behind your back.
"Please Mr. Barber " you chanted as he encompassed your wrist with the tie. Knotting it so tight you feared for the circulation of your hands.

Andy's firm body pressed against you, his arms wrapped around you, roaming your body freely. The fabric of the tie burned as you struggled to free yourself. He ripped open your cheap blouse with ease, groping your breast over your bra. You withered in his embrace, unable to fight back.
"You made it hard to concentrate" he hummed into your neck while he played with your hard nipples over the fabric. The heat of his breath and the kneading of your breast electrified the coil that tightened in your core.
You tried to crouch into your shoulders, but Andy cupped your chin harshly. Forcing you to expose your neck to him and endure his assault. You went rigid when his other hand started to trail down your abdomen, tunneling past your waistline in desperate pursuit of your mound.
"Sitting so quiet, taking notes."
Your tears glazed Andy's hand as he forced you to look at him as he plunged beneath the elastic of your panties. His eyes clouded with lust at the sight of your facial contortions. Your clit buzzed as his fingers moved over it. You clamped your thighs tightly around his palm in an effort to stop further intrusion, but he pressed on. Rubbing firmly against your mound repeatedly, sparking an unwanted warmth. You felt shame and guilt as heat pooled in his hand.
"Hmmm so ready to be my perfect little helper." Andy purred.
"Are you ready to be molded by me" he teased. Andy pushed his fingers inside of you, releasing a gasp you could not contain.
"Fuck you're so tight" Andy cursed in your ear while he fingered you.
You bit down on your lip to stop the moan trapped in your throat. The embarrassing wetness, the involuntary moans, it was as if your body no longer belonged to you. Andy manipulated you like a puppet on a string.
You exhaled deeply when he pulled his fingers from you and released your neck. You panted from the over stimulation.
He built up a need and left you cradling on the edge. Without warning Andy spun you by the shoulder to face him.
"Look at you my needy little helper. Ready to learn." He smirked at you.
Your eyes went wide when he began unfastening his belt. You didn't want to find out what he would use that for. Your flight response started to kick into high gear as he closed the space between you.
Reflexively you took a step backwards, almost stumbling to the floor when you tripped on the leg of the chair behind you.
There was no way out of the room without going past him. You doubted you would get far even if you tried. The back of your legs hit his desk, halting your movements.
"Gonna be my perfect little helper?"
You opened your mouth to finally scream, but Andy swiftly rushed you. The grip on your neck felt deadly as you croaked. He leaned his weight on you, tipping you over until you slammed hard on his desk.
Whatever trinkets he had on his desk dug into your back and arms painfully. Andy wedged himself between your thighs, and haphazardly fumbled with his pants. Pushing them down with one hand as he kept you pinned with the other. You bucked and squirmed when you felt his need pressed on your pelvis.
Your skirt had rode up past your waist leaving your thin panties the last line of defense.
"Don't do this please Mr. Barber please I'll work for you please." Choked out incoherently.
You bucked more feverishly when he yanked your panties to the side. The tip of his cock lined up against your entrance.
"That's it. That's my good little helper. So wet for me." Andy praised as his sunk into you as he kept a firm hold on your neck. Your pussy pulsed around him as you strained to adjust. He made you painfully full.
Andy lifted up your left thigh, allowing himself to sink deeper. The added weight of him on top of you married with the pain from your arms.
His focused grip on your neck helped muffle your mewls, but not the sloppy sounds of your cunt. You turned away from his face as he rolled his hips into you. Only to be met with the smiling faces of his family. The facade of his wholesome life seemingly entrained by your predicament.
"Perfect little cunt fits me so well."
Your pussy clenched with every praise to your shame. There was no way to bite back the need he fed deep within you. Your stomach tensed as a staggered moan fell from your mouth.
Your feet curled in the air as your thighs squeezed around him. You felt of mix of shame and disappointment as you came around his cock.
Loosening his grip on your neck Andy could no longer hold himself back. He filled you to the brim, his seed seeped out of you as you milked him dry.
He laid on you briefly, panting heavily before pulling off. Carefully adjusting himself as he watched his cum drizzle down your raw cunt. "Get yourself cleaned up. We have cross in a few hours."

firsts with Nanami Kento
I would love to share my firsts with Nanami Kento, my soon to be husband who I hope is free this Saturday, that’s correct this coming Saturday a day that I am free and that he hopefully is also free this Saturday-
First meeting
Nanami Kento, ex jujutsu sorcerer turned ex salaryman turned jujutsu sorcerer once again
Even though he hated working, he still had to do it to survive
When he was a salaryman, Nanami allowed himself a few pleasures in life, one being going to a bakery
But now that he’s back to being a sorcerer, he doesn’t really have the time for that like he used to
Sometimes though, he finds the time to squeeze into a bakery, this time one that’s unknown and unfamiliar to him, but apparently Gojo knows all about it
“Hi Satoru!” A friendly voice calls out as the lanky man steps into the warm building. Kento follows suit, a tick in his forehead already appearing at the knowledge that someone is so familiar with Satoru that they’d call him by his first name. Whoever they were, they could only be as annoying as he is.
“Hi (Y/N)!” Satoru says just as happily, singing your name a little bit as he walks to the counter. The bakery is small with a few tables dotted around, flowers in vases sitting in the windowsills and warm wooden walls.
“I see you brought a friend today.” Only when he’s acknowledged does Nanami look up at who’s speaking. You’re standing there with a kind smile and give him a wave when you make eye contact. “Hi.”
“Hello.” Nanami manages to say smoothly, but the attention you’re giving him makes his chest tighten. You haven’t even done anything special yet he can feel himself getting a little warmer under his collar.
“I’m (Y/N), it’s nice to meet you! Are you a friend of Satoru?”
“No-”
“Yes!” Satoru quickly interrupts, wrapping an arm around Kentos shoulders. “We went to school together.” Giving his shoulder a squeeze, Satoru leans closer to Kento. “Introduce yourself.”
Pushing Satoru off, Kento clears his throat and subtly rolls his eyes. Finding himself unable to make full on eye contact with you, Kento settles for looking at your forehead.
“Nanami Kento. It’s nice to meet you.” He can see you working the name out in your head, and a small smile graces your cheeks.
“Nanami, do you like sweets like Satoru?”
“No.” He replies immediately, eyes drifting down to Satoru who is currently leaning over the display case staring at the confections. “Gojo eats enough for the both of us.”
“That’s true!” The man echoes, throwing a thumbs up in the air.
“Good to know.” You giggle, and it’s the sweetest sound Kento’s ever heard. “We make savory food as well, in the other case.” Sweeping your arm to the side, there is indeed another case full of non-sweet treats. “Take your time in picking one out!”
First hangout
He and Gojo didn’t stay long that first day, just a quick stop on their way back to the school
Nanami finds himself looking forward to going to that part of town again though, because he’d like to see you- oop, scratch that not you! The treats! The treats were very good! Totally not you, psshhh where’d you get that idea?
A month goes by before he sees you again, not because he hasn’t been going to the bakery - he has - it’s just you never seem to be there! He goes during normal business hours, but he can’t ever catch you
After a late solo mission, with the sun just beginning to set in the sky and most rush hour traffic having left, Nanami goes to the bakery one more time
And surprisingly, he finds you there
How long had you been sleeping on the counter? You were fully perched on your stool, back bent as your head rested snugly in your arms on the counter. It had probably been a long day of serving customers if you were this tired that you didn’t hear the heavy door open and close, or the chime going off alerting you of a new person.
Kento stood at the counter just watching you for a while. He knew that if someone else walked in, it might be a little creepy for them to see him like this, but if that happened he would deal with it. For now, he was content just looking at you.
Your features were soft and relaxed as you dozed, the apron you usually wore folded up next to you. The creases in your eyes were gone, your mouth relaxed, and the sound of your slow and even breathing filled the quiet room.
Once again Kento wondered, how long had you been asleep? The cases that were usually stocked full were nearly bare, only a few stray pieces of cake or a croissant waiting to be purchased. He almost left the bakery, wanting you to catch up on sleep since you seemed to need it. But instead, he gently shook your shoulder. As much as he wanted to let you rest, he also wanted to talk to you.
“Hm?” With a big yawn and a stretch, you slowly rise to look at Kento with eyes still heavy from sleep. Your eyelids droop closed more than once before you take another deep breath and rest your hands on the counter, back still bowed. “Na-Nanami?” Your eyebrows scrunch up from trying to remember where you were and who was in front of you right now.
“Hello.” His hand remains on your shoulder even though he has to bend forward slightly now. His face is neutral and his eyes are searching you.
“It’s nice to see you again.” Another yawn, and you rub your face drowsily. Kento lets out a little grunt, he thinks it’s cute the way you rub your eyes and sit up further, trying to wake yourself up again. “How long have I been sleeping?” Stretching your neck, you look at the clock behind you and out the window.
“Not too long.” Kento looks outside as well, and notices it’s begun to rain. Your chuckle brings him back to you, and his heart stutters a little at the mischievous look on your face. “What?”
“I heard from Satoru that you’ve been looking for me. Coming to the bakery a lot to come see me.” Kento makes a noise in the back of his throat and his cheeks begin to go pink. “Did you miss me, Nanami?”
“I-” It’s no use, his cheeks are still getting darker. “No comment.” You burst into full laughter and Kento hangs his head, regretting the past month so much he could turn and leave the cafe.
“Well no need to worry, I’m here now!” Throwing your arms open, you hop off the stool and lean against the case housing the savory goods. “Now, what can I get for you?”
“Where were you?” He says instead. If he’s been caught red handed, he might as well keep digging his grave.
“My sister had a baby! I saved up all my vacation days so I could be with them!” You smiled brightly. Digging your phone out of your pocket, you showed him a picture of you holding a baby in your arms.
“Cute.” He wasn’t sure what was cuter, you with the baby, the baby by itself or just you. As he looked more at it, Kento found himself imagining what it would be like for you to be carrying his baby. Would you even want to start a family? Or perhaps-
“Nanami, are you okay?” Your question broke him out of his little fantasy.
“Huh?”
“Your face got all red, is it too hot in here? I can turn a fan on if you want.”
“N-no.” Clearing his throat, Nanami shook his head. “No. I’m fine.” Finally turning his attention to the case, he looked at what was left. “I’ll have that one.” Pointing to the first thing he saw, he’s surprised you know exactly what he meant.
“Do you want to take it to go? It’d be best for you to get home quickly since it’s raining!” The night sky had fully blanketed the world outside, a nice curtain of rain along with it. Kento didn’t need to think over his decision. He’d be going home in the rain either way, what was the use in just going back to an empty apartment?
“I’ll eat it here. No sense rushing out into the rain to just be alone at home.” With a shrug, his suit jacket came off, and he could see the way you looked at his arms as he pushed his sleeves up. “Besides, someone has to make sure you don’t fall asleep again.”
A little peep left your lips and your face burned with embarrassment. Kento grinned, chuckling to himself and tossing his jacket on a chair near him.
“I’ll have a coffee too, just a small black.”
“No way!” You puff out your cheeks in indignation. “Coffee will keep you up all night! I’ll make you some tea.” Kentos mouth falls open, a little surprised you stood up to him like that. You pay him no mind, turning your back to begin brewing his tea. Closing his mouth, Kento takes a seat in the chair with his jacket.
“Alright, I’ll have tea then.”
First confession
Nanami ended up staying the whole night with you in the bakery, until you had to close
You left the counter and sat with him at the table with your own cup of tea and a seemingly never ending slew of topics to talk about
You were like Gojo, but much more tolerable. A person Nanami could respect, and much cuter than Gojo as well
Somehow, the night had ended with him getting your number, and although he made no promises about being a good correspondent, you still insisted
Any friend of Gojos was a friend of you, apparently
Sometimes you messaged him things about the bakery and he did his best to respond in a timely manner
Others he took the initiative and would message you to ask about your day in the evening or if you were working during the day so he could come see you
And on the lucky chance you were working early in the morning and he had nothing to do, he went to see you
“Hi.” You nearly sang the word when you saw him. He was the first customer of the day, a great way to start an early morning shift.
“How are you?” Kento asks, a soft smile also on his face. Walking right up to the counter, he sees the way you lean against it to be closer to him.
“I’m good! Excited too, we got this new seasonal item.” Your eyes are practically sparkling and with a grin Nanami hums and nods for you to continue. “I know you don’t like sweets, but I really want you to try-”
“(Y/N)!” A crass shout interrupts you and the slamming of the bakery door against the wall makes you jump. Immediately, both you and Kento are looking at the intrusion; Kento in annoyance and you in slight fear.
There are three men waltzing up to the counter, all of them with scary expressions on and clothes that reek of nicotine. The one that had yelled at you was a man with a scar on his lip and a shaved head, tattoos peeking up from his shirt collar. The other two behind him look just as scary, if not more.
“W-what- what do you want?” Kento doesn’t miss the way you’ve started to shake and he takes a subtle step closer to the counter.
“I just wanna know why you’re not returning my calls, that’s it!” This man shouts even though he’s close enough that the sheer volume of his voice makes you flinch. Balling your apron up in your fists, you try not to cower away as he gets right up against the counter.
“I t-told you I-I don’t like you!” You try to raise your voice as well but it doesn’t work. Everyone can see that you’re scared, the trembling of your voice is just more proof.
“Yeah? Well I like you.” The man goes to slap his hand against the counter, but Kento catches his wrist before he can. “Hey, who the fuck are you?”
“A customer that doesn’t like the disturbance you’re causing.” Kento lets the man's wrist go when he pulls on it. Sizing the man up, Kento knows he can take all three of them without an issue, it would be as easy as getting up in the morning. Taking a look at you however, he wanted to avoid causing you anymore distress.
“Like I give a fuck, salaryman.” Flipping him off, the man turns back to you. “Now you li-” Kento punches the man in the face before he can keep talking, sending him flying into the other two.
“I don’t appreciate you talking to (Y/N) like that.” Raising his fists, Kento easily takes down the other two men that charge at him, and he doesn’t break a sweat doing it. The fight - if it could even be called one - lasts all of two minutes.
Making sure the men on the ground won’t move, Kento looks at you. There’s slight tears in your eyes and some on your cheeks and you’re still shaking, but you don’t look as scared as you did. Grabbing the man that had harassed you, Kento forced him to his feet.
“Apologize.”
“As if I’d-” The man starts, but Kento has no patience anymore and swiftly punches him in the liver.
“Try again.”
“I-I’m sorry, (Y/N)!” Choking the words out, the man looks at you with blood in his eyes. “If this psycho is gonna hang around you now, I don’t want any part of you!”
“Good answer.” Dropping him to the floor, Kento kicks him towards the door. “Now get out of here.” He doesn’t have to say it twice for the men to leave. As the door slams closed, Kento hears you break into sobs.
“N-Nanami!” You whine and sob out his name, drawing the last syllable out. Looking at you, Kento coos under his breath seeing your balled up fists near your eyes.
“It’s okay.” He says, watching you walk around the counter and stand in front of him.
“Th-ank yo-you!” The thanks you’re trying to give him barely sounds like real words and in any other situation he’d be embarrassed for you.
“It’s okay.” He says again with a soft sigh, pulling you closer until your head is resting on him. Rubbing a soothing hand on your back, Kento lets you soak his jacket and his shirt with your tears for as long as you need. And by the time you pull away from him, he’s full on hugging you, and you’re hugging him back.
“Sorry.” Your eyes go down to his stained shirt.
“Don’t mind it.” Shaking his head, Kento slowly lets you go. “Who was that, anyway?”
“Just some guy who asked for my number like a week ago.” Wiping away the last of your tears, you look out the window in slight disgust. “I had no idea he would get so...aggressive when I turned him down. It’s not my fault I don’t want to date a criminal.”
“Has he been calling you a lot? He said you weren’t answering.”
“Yeah, I blocked him but he kept calling from different numbers.” Your breathing is back to normal now, the tears that made your lashes cling together were finally drying.
“Give me his number. If he causes you trouble again, I’ll handle it.” Kento holds out his hand, not giving you very much of a choice in the matter. But after seeing how easily he took them down the first time, you weren’t about to withhold it from him.
Ten minutes later, after making sure you’re completely fine and calm, Kento makes an order. He takes two of the seasonal items you’d mentioned, not that he’ll eat both, but he wants to make you feel better.
“I’ll be back to walk you home.” Kento says as he’s leaving, ignoring your shouts that he doesn’t have to. He’d rather not risk those guys following you or doing anything shady.
True to his word he comes back when you’re done for the day, waiting outside for you. When you come, he makes sure you’re standing close to him along the way. It’s silent at first, just the sounds of other people walking by and some traffic one street over filling the air.
“Thank you again, Nanami.” You say as you stop at an intersection. You’d messaged him thanks throughout the day, but it still didn’t feel enough. “To be honest, I wasn’t expecting you to do that sort of thing!” Neither was he. It just happened, a snap decision he made to protect you. He liked you, and seeing you shake like that was something he never wanted to see again.
“I’d do it again.” Is what Kento says, looking up as the sun burns orange-yellow streaks across the sky. “I really like you, and I don’t want that sort of thing to ever happen again.” He lets out a sigh, looking at you from the corner of his eye. People are walking around you, but neither of you make a move to cross the street. “If it’s not too much to ask, don’t talk to any other guys, okay?”
Your eyes widen at his question, lips quivering to fight back a pleased smile. You open your mouth once, twice, before closing it and biting your lip, a shy giggle coming out.
“Okay.” You say with a nod.
“Good.” Lowering his head, Kento softly grabs your hand in his. “Let’s get you home now.”
First date
Even though he’d confessed, the two of you had yet to go on a proper date
Nanami was sweeter to you now, holding your hand on your walks home when he came to get you and he’d hug you if you asked(one day he’d take initiative and hug you first lol)
He wants to ask you on a proper date, but he’s worried that you’ll find him boring
The opportunity arises, however, when Gojo texts you from his phone and sets up a date for the two of you in a park, a picnic date on a day he knows Nanami has off
“K-Kento!” You wave at him as you both approach the park from different ways. You’d only just started saying his first name and it made you feel shy every time you did. “You’re dressed so casually!” Gone was his normal suit and tie, Nanami had on a looser button up and some sensible jeans.
“You look nice too.” Kento smiled, he had seen pictures of you not in your uniform, and sometimes you changed out of it after work, but this was the first time you were dressed with the intention to be cute. He could smell the perfume you were wearing as well, wafting pleasantly through the air and surrounding him when he sits down on the blanket you laid out.
“You know, I was surprised you asked me out on a date.” You say shyly as you both settle down.
“I didn’t.” His answer has you confused and you halt your actions. “Gojo did it for me. I was going to do it myself but...I thought you’d think I’m boring.”
“Never!” Your hand lands on top of his and you shake your head. “You’re not boring at all!”
“Hm, okay then.” Nodding at you, he motions towards the basket you’d brought.
“I made treats at home, look!” Excitedly, you take out the food you’d prepared. It’s all wrapped up cutely in butcher paper, and there’s some smiley face stickers keeping the paper together.
“It looks great.” Stretching out his legs, Kento leans his upper body close to you, nearly resting his head on your shoulder. “You did a great job.” He can smell you even better, the heat of your skin is just barely reaching him.
“You haven’t even tried it yet.” With a bashful little laugh, you unwrap a sandwich you’d made and give it to him.
“I can just tell.” Taking it from you, Kento lets himself rest on your shoulder.
First kiss
Sometime during the picnic, after eating, Nanami finds himself a little tired
It’s so relaxing being out with you, and the afternoon sun is just the right temperature for him to slowly slide from your shoulder onto your lap and doze off
Your hand cards through his hair, gently massaging his head and pushing him deeper into slumber
With his body laid out, Nanami doesn’t even realize he’s asleep until a sharp scream from a playing child rouses him, but he keeps his eyes closed in hopes he’ll go back to sleep
There’s a soft pressure on his forehead, you’re bending down over him and the light filtering in through the tree above you is blocked out for a moment before you’re sitting up again. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out you kissed his forehead.
Cracking an eye open, Kento grins at you when you make a surprised noise in the back of your throat and look away from him.
“I-I didn’t know you were awake.” You mutter, embarrassed at being caught. You wouldn’t have kissed him if you’d known; you were too embarrassed to ask for a kiss, and you weren’t sure if Kento even had an interest in taking your relationship there.
He doesn’t answer, instead taking a deep breath through his nose and sitting up slightly. With a light hand, Kento turns you to face him. He doesn’t get up all the way, but as soon as your face is close enough he pushes up a bit more and kisses you properly on the lips, feeling the smooth glide of your lip balm.
When the kiss breaks, neither of you open your eyes for a while. Kento just keeps his face close, brushing his nose against yours a few times before giving you another peck and then laying down again.
“You don’t have to be shy (Y/N), I want you to kiss me.” He’s keeping his eyes closed now, not because of the sun but because his cheeks are blushing and he knows you can see. His arms that were previously at his sides come to cross his chest, and he pushes his head further into your lap. “We’re dating now, so just do what you want.”
A soft gasp is heard above him and Kento grins when you giggle and brush his hair again.
“Okay.” Leaning down, you give him a firmer kiss on the forehead, and one of your hands grabs his.
“Okay.” He echoes, pulling your hand to his lips and kissing the back of it. You squeeze it tightly and giggle again, overwhelmed by the feeling of happiness. Letting out a yawn, Kentos small grin gets even bigger when you cup his cheek and he opens his eyes to look at you. Suddenly, he’s not so tired anymore.

—Albedo.
You’ve just so happened to see a male with ashy-blond hair as a regular on late nights. It’s always worth it to see those teal eyes scan the sketch book with its dark brown cover after he’s finished his artwork.
You may have caught some feelings for the guy, but how could you not? He’s everything you could’ve asked for. Though you doubt he’d be into you. You’re just some worker whose good at making someone’s selection of drink.
Who are you kidding… there’s no way he’d ever like you. Not in a million years, he’s just there to get work done.
You sigh as you wonder off into your own little world dreaming about someday having enough courage to talk to him personally. Not just for an order, but maybe more.
A sad smile makes its way to your face as you hear the door open to the shop. You glance your eye over to the clock on the cream-coloured wall.
‘9 P.M? It’s probably him then.’
You fix your posture and tighten the bow on your apron before walking over to the cashier.
He likes Vanilla Iced Coffee with 2 extra pumps of Vanilla. You stand at the cashier with a smile on your face as you see him walk through the door.
He walks up with his usual backpack and pulls out his wallet.
Maybe… maybe this is your chance to make an impression on him.
“Oh! Um, you don’t have to pay today. It’s on me.” You say with a smile, already knowing that what you just said probably came off as cheesy. It was only you working on the night shifts, so only you and him for now.
“Oh—are you sure? I can still pay.” He said, feeling slightly guilty for not paying.
“No, really! It’s okay. Thank you for coming in all the time. Is it the same order this time?” You ask before grabbing his usual medium cup.
“Ah, you know me so well… Thank you.” He said before slowly putting his wallet back and setting backpack down in one of the booths and returning to the cashier, leaning down on the counter and his hand curled slightly into a fist with the bottom of his palm supporting his cheek.
“So uh… how’s your night going.” He said while looking off at the pastries that were in the glass containment for show.
You remember that this is your first time having a normal, no… real conversation with him.
“Actually, it’s going quite smoothly. Not very customers have come by tonight and the soft white snow falling from the sky is always wonderful to look at. With the tall street lights making it even more visible, it’s alluring enough to catch the eye of anyone. It’s always so… peaceful.” You say while putting the ice into his normal sized clear cup.
But it was true, the fluffy white snow outside the large glass windows was a lovely sight to behold.
You’ve always loved using fancy words in sentences to add the effect that you might be smart, considering all the stupid things to do.
“What about you?” You asked glancing at him for a split moment to see his real eyes staring at you.
“It’s been… interesting. My car almost slipped off the road on the way here because of black ice.” He said while a distasteful look made its way onto his features.
You finished off his drink with the last two pumps of vanilla, stirred it, grabbed a clear lid put it on and grabbed a straw—handing it to the blonde.
“I’m sorry to hear that. Are you okay?” You ask as you slide it over to him over the counter before leaning down and placing your elbows on the said counter.
“Yes, I’m perfectly fine. Thank you for asking.” He said before taking his hand off his pale cheek and unwrapping the straw to place it in the hole of the lid.
A comfortable silence when by for a few moments before he asked you a question.
“I… I never got your name.” He said.
You were taken aback slightly but smiled warmly.
“Y/N. My name is Y/N.” You said with a soft and happy voice.
“My names is Albedo. We should talk more often.” He said before a small smile appeared on his face.
And you were sure—no. POSITIVE you both had a rosy hue on your cheeks right now, but you knew you had talked to the one who might change your life forever now.
