Hello :) I'm not sure if this is still relevant, but yesterday I was looking for fanarts on the Soviet musketeer and yours are the best. And yes, their Aramis is also my favorite! I would like more people to see this adaptation. Thank you, it has made my day a little better.

Thank you so much! I must add that the best Soviet musketeer fanarts can be found on VK (I've seen some gorgeous Starygin!Aramis portraits there). Sigh, I love Aramis so much, I swear I'll learn his song by heart one day.

Many of my tumblr friends have seen this adaptation but most of them are Russian so it makes sense lol. But seriously, people *should* see this version, honestly it's the best adaptation there is, the most faithful to the book. And it's also very heart-warming that the actors stayed friends for years after the filming.

We’ll Live Till Monday

Emo tikh is not gone from the roster yet, for we bow before the history teacher AU: try to live till Monday when you have school on Saturday in the Soviet Movie Club(tm).

The film has a bit of a backstory that may make it even more meaningful: after bond’s War and Peace, everyone was dabbing in fame but tikh. Beyond disappointed in his role there, in his acting abilities and in himself, he decides to quit acting altogether, and successfully does so for less than a year until his best friend, film director Rostotsky, practically bullies him into starring in We’ll Live Till Monday under solid arguments such as I WONT BE YOUR FRIEND ANYMORE IF YOU REFUSE. The film helps tikh regain faith in himself and resurrects his career into a new level of stardom, shortly after landing him in 17 moments and from there the rest is history. Not only, but the film marks career starts for Olga Ostroumova and Igor Starygin, and in general becomes popular as shit and for a good reason.

The rifts between adults and teens, the questioning of the educational system and of young aspirations, the suffering from teen love, young love and old love: all of that in tasteful black and white and with no actual pretences for dynamic plot. The only way to truly enjoy the film besides simping is to lay back and imagine that it is a rainy evening outside, and all you’re seeking currently is melancholic peace and vibes.
