Melaron, the war orphan they adopt together, grows up to be a magical smith inspired by the Blacksmith of legends. During his lifetime, he provides several swords to Roena but through time they are all understood to be one singular weapon, called Erveil. Roena spends some time trying to gather and destroy the twenty two cursed weapons left behind by Jacomius the tyrant, but even with Melaron's help, the best they can do is seal away the seven they do find.

When the Lozano family moved to a small trailer in Bighorn Hills, it was all meant to be a temporary solution to their problems. Growing up, Ingrid couldn’t understand why her father was never around and didn't ask much after realising her mom wasn't particularly interested in giving a straight answer. By the time she was nine, Ingrid was used to caring for herself as her mother would disappear for days, only to come back with a sour mood. Despite never being physically abusive towards her, Veronica was not a kind woman. It wasn’t until the age of twelve that Ingrid started hearing people talk. And it wasn’t until a few weeks later, when her mom found out she was pregnant again. The good news? It was by the same married man. Bad news? He wanted nothing to do with any of them.

So, things started going south again. After having Freya, Veronica barely paid any attention to the girls. She would often leave, come home drunk or with a random dude that they’d never seen again. If it wasn’t for Mrs. Walker, or nana as the girls liked to call her, Ingrid would never be able to attend school or care properly for her sister. She was more of a motherly figure to them than Veronica ever was, teaching them values, telling them stories and most importantly making sure the girls had food and clothes. It was thanks to Mrs. Walker, that Ingrid could get her first job -- babysitting for a couple in Claret Park, then dog walking and all odd jobs a teen could do at the time to save money. This money was their way out, going to college and studying like Ingrid always wanted. This money was supposed to be their future, but this money was taken by Veronica and her newest boyfriend, who decided to start a new life without the girls. Truth was, the abandonment didn’t hit her as hard as the realisation of how they had nothing left, and how their own mother was more than okay to push them both deeper into the dirt. That night, everything changed. Something snapped in Ingrid, whatever hope she held for the future was gone. At age sixteen, she was left to watch after herself, and her baby sister.

For two years, Mrs. Walker never called the child services. Instead, she made sure Ingrid would be able to finish school -- but all hopes for a college education were gone. With no money and responsibilities piling up, all Ingrid could do was work, and sometimes that included three jobs ; One to save money for Freya and her future, a second to put food on the table and a third to make sure they would never be left with nothing again.

played the blue lions route on three hopes, both with and without byleth and now i must word vomit for a bit!!!!

I get that not many people played this (i got the game second hand myself bc...yeah i can't really justify to buying it at full price) but!!! How are people not losing their minds about this!!!!

This is definitely a more sanitized version of the story but i'll take it, yknow!!! It was nice seeing dimitri and felix being a team and relying on each other. Something about them filling the roles you only see glimpses of in 3 houses was especially satisfying

Again, everything was much more...easygoing in this game BUT i think the effort to have dimitri still be dimitri, with what makes him compelling, is commendable. I don't necessarily think it's like...this great writing achievement they got going on but as far as intsys sanctioned fanfiction goes, i enjoyed it!

what really makes me happy about this game is that, with byleth out of the way, the characters relationships can really thrive. i mean shez is much more what i want from your protagonist character. they have a personality + aren't the be all end all of every character's life. i assume this is very unpopular but i can't stand byleth as they are in houses

that said shez's story is so messy...the last chapters were so whatever!! if you somehow didn't have the main game lore as context i imagine non of it would make the slightest sense. but i mean i'm not here bc i care about shez or the lore really!!

this is honestly just good fun if you wanna see more of your faves + some good nuggets of additional backstory here and there!!

ch5. i know they got to have jeralt's mercenaries fighting against shez's side for the whole arval thing but jeralt being hired by faerghus makes the least sense of the 3 factions. its already established that the kingdom has one of the larger standing armies and long martial tradition. of course the argument can be made that the kingdom is fractured and a good chunk aren't loyal to/wont listen to dimitri and jeralt's mercenaries really are that good so its not that its doesn't make sense it just makes less sense than adrestia or leicester

hubert is such a hypocrit. this isn't new knowledge but i was reminded of it again. he complains about the corruption and wide powers of noble of evade the law while he himself experiences all the benefits of being a noble while being able to break every law in the book just because it's for lady edelgard. hubert has so idolized edelgard that he does not realize the empire will crumple the moment she is gone. all that stands in the way of that is ferdinand and the other who are actually trying to create a system of law. hubert sees edelgard as the ultimate origin of all law, in his eyes edelgard is the law.

wow every single route huh the writers sure do love total power dictatorships.

this is consistent with dimitri's every other appearance. he projects his own problems, insecurities, and the things he hates about himself on to his enemies so that when he kills them he enacts violence on himself. this is why he so easily becomes detatched from reality like in azure moon. like edelgard was never the bloodthirsty type she's unwilling to budge and my way or the highway but its dimitri that's the blooodthirty one. he struggles with violent impulses and bloody nightmares and is scared and hates himself, this was never about edelgard

final chapter: rhea and thales killing each other really would be ideal. here's a toast to hoping they're both actually dead. from a personal ideals stand point i like this ending! thales is gone, rhea is gone, the kingdom is losing and alliance with leicester. that's like perfect in my book. i guess this is redemption for crimson flower hacing its final chapter cut. yeah minus the damage leicester from adrestia this is almost a golden route. if you combined the early chapters of golden wildfire withe the last chapter of scarlet blaze that would be the golden route
