for those asking about the ghoulette dresses: it was your classic victorian mourning gown. floor length with veils that covered their whole faces—unclear if masked underneath still or if the veils were opaque enough they didn’t use them. personally i think the veils would have been opaque enough based on historical examples we have. think constance hatchaway haunted mansion realness, but make it black and you’ll have a pretty close approximation.

edit: here’s some photo refs off of google that are similar—top right is closest in terms of skirt shape, from what I could see.

edit edit: just to be clear, they only wore these for 1 song! it was the if you have ghosts cover. four ghoulettes total, with 2 playing cellos, 1 on grand piano, and one on either vocals or theremin (I couldn’t tell! if anyone had a clearer view pls lmk!)

while I expected lots of cute moments with bb-8 and pew-pew adventures in Poe Dameron: Flight Log (which, don’t get me wrong, I definitely did get and was very happy about!!) along with lots of cool ship specs and tech details—

what I wasn’t expecting (a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one) was several instances of incredibly heartfelt, evocative, and sweet introspections from Poe on his family, upbringing, philosophy / ethics, the resistance, and love 🥺 so many sweet characterization tidbits in this book, I really enjoyed reading it ♡

if you’re interested in reading it as well, I borrowed it (for free!) on internet archive which I highly highly recommend, it was such a fun read and it’s very easy & user-friendly to borrow books from them!

Last Book(s): Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. Honestlyyyyy not my fave. I can definitely appreciate what she did for the genre but the middle sags so hard. But at least it picks back up in the last 70 or so pages

Harriet Tubman: Live in Concert by Bob the Drag Queen. BIG RECOMMEND. Bob's humor and heart really shine in this book. Very few books make me laugh out loud and this was one of them. Also absolutely check out the songs he made alongside the book because they're all so good

Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire. I actually read the second book in the Wayward Children series years ago and I absolutely adored it. I picked up Every Heart a Doorway because it was on an ace rec list and enjoyed it so much I'm continuing with the series. The series has such a kind feeling to it with the way it treats its teenage cast that I really appreciate

Last movie(s): Robots (2005): tbh if it weren't for server movie night i would never watch anything ever probably 💔

Sin City: I've never seen a movie more dedicated to replicating the source material, and it didn't make it GOOD but it did make it very very funny

Daybreakers: I remember seeing advertisements for this one when I was 14 and deep into my vampire phase with no means of getting to see it BUT I found it on Kanopy when I was browsing and it was meant to be. ILY silly action flicks!! Willem Dafoe cures his vampirism by flinging himself through his car windshield and into a nearby lake and it is THE funniest thing

Spicy/sweet/savory: Sweet 100%

Last Show(s): SEVERANCE!!!! First show in a long time where I didn't struggle on some level to put it back own. I always struggle so bad with sitting down and actually watching stuff and I think it says a lot to Severance's quality that I was constantly finding excuses to watch more lol

Knuckles is a show! idk it's just cute and silly and I don't have much to say beyond that. Helps that the eps are only 30 minutes so I can flip them on easier than with my hour long shows.
