X-Men shit right now because I watched Deadpool 3 and my brain said YES. THAT. thanks so much babe! 🥰 i love writing these, and luckily there's 26 letters in the alphabet, so we still have some time.

H - Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it, and what are they like?)

I would say that at least initially, Billy is not fond of hugs. He tolerates them but he gets this rather confused look on his face anytime you come up and wrap yourself around him. It's like he doesn't know what he should do with himself. Should he hug you back? Are you gonna stop hugging him? Are you gonna hang on him like a leech? He just has no clue. So he kinda awkwardly wraps one arm around you and gives you this little half-assed pat on the back, like someone would give to a puppy or a little kid. He gives you this tight-lipped smile, with eyes that almost say "are ya happy now?" He didn't grow up in a huggy-type family, so for him, this is totally foreign.

Most likely as things move along and he learns to expect hugs from you and grows more comfortable with it he'll settle into it. He'll do things like throw his arms open ahead of time if he sees you walking towards him, he may sigh in annoyance, but still wrap you up and give you a small kiss to boot depending on how much of a brat he wants to be for the day. If he sees you talking with your friends, he may hang back but then walk up and sling his arm over your shoulder and pull you in as they leave. He definitely starts initiating contact more frequently the longer that you two stay together.

On nights when things are tough, it may be hard for you to gauge how much you're allowed to touch him. You don't want to overwhelm him because he seems so upset, but increasingly he'll reach for you, grabbing at your hands and curling himself up in your arms.

R - Remember (Favorite memory with you?)

His favorite memory is when you made him laugh so hard that he cried. It's probably pretty sappy of him to have this be his favorite memory with you, but Billy doesn't have a whole lot of bright shining happy memories so when a good one appears, he really wishes he could jar it up so he could keep it and look at it on repeat whenever he wanted.

The pair of you were fighting actually, and it was reaching the point in the argument where someone was just a breath away from saying something that would probably be regretted when you belched right in his face. The argument ended right there. With you trying to hide your face and stay mad at him, and Billy doubling over with laughter. You ended up laughing with him and giving yourself hiccups, which only made him laugh harder, tears coming out of his eyes.

By the end of it, neither of you two even remembered what you were fighting about in the first place.

H - Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.)

Billy is pretty damn well-groomed, the boy doesn't have that mirror and vanity in his room for nothing. Overall he takes pretty good care of his appearance year-round, but once summer comes then he especially pulls out all the stops. This boy is a Californian after all, he thrives in the sunshine.

I would say that he definitely has a beauty/haircare routine, that may or may not be as extensive as Steve Harrington's. He shaves his face and likes to keep his budding lil mustache well-shaped. Everything you see outwardly he carefully crafts because Billy wants his appearance to do a lot of heavy lifting for him. He wants people to think he looks good, he looks fit, and he looks sexy. So he does everything he can for that.

Does the carpet match the drapes? Yeah pretty close, most blondes tend to have pubic hair that is slightly darker than the hair on their head though. So of the times he's au natural he'd probably be medium brown, chestnut-colored. I would say Billy's typical mode of operation though is to trim down or shave completely. I'm not certain if waxing was available or trendy in the 80s but it was probably just as expensive as it is today, so any 'manscaping' Billy does is probably all undertaken at home and on a budget. Nothing that a bottle of Nair can't fix...

R - Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.)

I truly believe that Billy is a big-time experimenter. If he sees some odd article mentioned on a porn rag cover in a gas station, he will full-on stop and read it like it's the Sunday Times. If he overhears about some great position or little move that Dick Mackey is spilling about while the guys are talking in the locker room after basketball practice, he's gonna listen. He wants to know, he wants to learn. If there's potential to learn new tricks and feel good at the same time, Billy is sold sold sold.

When Billy hits 18 he definitely visits the adult novelty shops and video stores. Lets his eyes wander and takes it all in. Maybe buys himself a little starter set with handcuffs and a blindfold to use on his partner. Maybe for them to use on him if he's feeling really generous.

In terms of risk, I think Billy is a conditional risk taker, but above all Billy is much more impulsive than he is risky. His propensity to do impulsive and at times stupid things can then turn the situations he and his partner partake in into risky ones. For example, hurriedly finding a supply closet on school grounds but then completely forgetting to lock the door. Or pulling onto the shoulder of the highway for a hot second but then getting wrapped up in the moment and leaving the car door open. Billy has a tendency to think only in terms of "this'll be great if we..." and then all other parts or the logistics are completely gone from his mind. So there may be a time when he's definitely been caught or interrupted to a full stop.

Billy may seek out some risks on purpose like messing around in the school library or study hall. But in those instances, his play is much lighter and teasing. Or he'll just focus on his partner's pleasure, making the payoff more likely and the risk of being caught at least slightly lower than if you both fully participated.

Fall of X (Steve/Tony Edition)

For anyone else who is a comics Steve/Tony fan who doesn't usually read X-Men comics and is now finding themselves needing to wade through the Fall of X, this is everything I have found that's out now (or coming out very soon) in the order you should read it, that pertains to Steve and/or Tony. This is accurate as of today (September 16); we are obviously not done with the event so this list will not stay accurate, but if you want to hop on now, this is how you'd do it.

(Iron Man #7 is not technically part of this but it does have some lead-up with a subplot involving Rhodey and Feilong. I am assuming you are all reading Iron Man anyway.)

I am also not a regular X-Men reader so it's possible that I've missed some stuff, but this is everything that has Steve and/or Tony or is directly relevant to them that I have found. So this isn't the entire event, but if you're just trying to get through Iron Man comics there are definitely some comics that you want to read.

I mention this because it might not be entirely obvious to anyone just trying to read through Iron Man that there are crucial events in the Free Comic Book Day issue that was released months ago. But there are. And I would like to save everyone else the trouble of getting halfway through Hellfire Gala and wondering why all of a sudden someone has been trying to assassinate Captain America off-panel and thinking that, wow, I really must have missed something somewhere. Which was the experience I had. So, yeah. That was actually depicted in the FCBD 2023 issue. Surprise!

(The most necessary part of the ordering, for our purposes, is Avengers/X-Men FCBD, Hellfire, and then Iron Man #8. There are several important events that we see from various points of view throughout these issues, which all take place on the same night, in that order. Iron Man #8 also assumes you have read Iron Man #182 but I feel like probably everyone has done this.)

Tony is on the main team (although the main Avengers book is not part of the Fall of X event); Steve is currently leading the Uncanny Avengers, which is part of the event. Both Steve and Tony actually appear together briefly in both X-Men #25 and Uncanny Avengers #1 as part of the meetings the remaining resistance is holding against Orchis. I don't know if Tony will be in this week's Uncanny Avengers #2. He wasn't in the preview and he isn't in the character list on the recap page, but that was also the case for both X-Men #25 and Uncanny Avengers #1. I think the character lists only cover the team members in this particular series.

I have reordered a couple of issues from the order they were released in. Uncanny Avengers #1 was released the week before Iron Man #9 but it has to happen in the opposite order. IM #9 takes place the night of the Gala and on into the next day; it picks up immediately after #8 and resolves the cliffhanger there. UA #1, even though it came out before this, takes place weeks after the Gala, as established in the issue. Judging by the preview, UA #2 will (at least partially) take place immediately after UA #1 but as it hasn't come out yet, I can't say for sure.

Similarly, since Iron Man #9 is right after #8, I've put X-Men #25 after that, since it also takes place weeks after the Gala, even though it came out before IM #9. I might end up moving Uncanny Avengers around some more later as well, but this works for now.

X-Men #26 is the X-Men half of the wedding issue along with Iron Man #10. The IM half isn't out yet, so we'll see what happens there.

Yesterday's updates were something.

First a new sound page! this one without a title/prompt. Its also our official title page.

I really went down a rabbit hole on this page specifically so more thoughts and breakdown for the update are below the cut.

The whole sequence is very smooth in its panning zoom to the sky and the following narration is just ... odd. It makes me inclined to say this is another character rather than Hussie just writing. Someone omniscient almost, speaking to us the reader but also to John even if he can't hear it.

The streets are empty. Wind skims the voids keeping neighbors apart, as if grazing the hollow of a cut reed, or say, a plundered mailbox.

Its curious that theres no other sounds in the audio. Just winds and chimes. It should be a Monday based on the calendar from John's room which makes it Easter Monday. We dont know where John lives, but his school must make it a holiday since hes at home being stuffed with cake and so is his Dad, said baker. You would think there would be other dads doing yard work or some kids playing outside but there's no indication of either.

A familiar note is produced. It's the one Desolation plays to keep its instrument in tune.

Familiar to whom? And in what way?

Google says Desolation is "a state of complete emptiness or destruction". So is the wind equal to Desolation? I feel like we dont actually hear the note per say. Our narrator only likens the sound to something we could probably comprehend. In reality, the wind over the void space is Desolations note.

A nice callback to the first page of the comic but also more references to lacking and emptiness. Although a funny gag, the first page also says John is only getting his nane Today. Logically we know that's false. TT uses his name in their convo on persterchum. So what does that mean? Has he only been alive but not actually living?

Has Desolation been keeping John from living? Why?? What would it gain from that?

Googling Absence gives us "the state of being away from a place or person". So his riddle is a state of being away from others... I feel like the following statement gives more but I cant discern what.

We get another quote that is certainly not Walt Whitmans. I'm curious if the mis-attributions are John legit not knowing, which would be strange knowing the quote but not the speaker, or the narrator fucking with John. I like to believe the latter.

Our actual guy is François de La Rochefoucauld, a French moralist with two works published of which this quote is from Maximes. I kinda want to make posts of each wrong quote and author after reading more about what the book is about. For now I think this is good enough.

The last actual time we saw was 4:26 pm. If we wanna take a guess saying we 'started' at 4:00 pm and guessing based of the times we have been shown, its been no more than 45 min. So yeah, I think its gonna be long indeed.

Doing this for Dante. The Dr Faust cutscene, or to be more broad I love his silly attitude and his stupid jokes. Made this series iconic and funny and gives him a personality.

For Dante this would probably be the ‘if you were 18 i would date you’ joke from the first episode of the anime. This really rubbed me the wrong way and its kinda weird to say that to a kid you just met???and ooc for him???

I probably could be roomies with people like Dante and Nero and Kyrie. Id probably get a little annoyed at Dante for constantly being in debt and gambling but we could survive. Do not think I could be roommates with Vergil. that man does not know how the oven works.

Nero and Nico are the perfect best friends duo. Always got each others backs, always making fun of each other lightheartedly. I want more of them sooo badly you have no idea.

its been decades since I have last written anything in general. But I do remember Dante’s dialogue being fun to write for me and I dont like everything else because im constantly worrying if something is ooc

Its been decades since ive read any dmc fic either (get caught up in other things) but as mentioned earlier do love those family dynamics and the attempts to fix everything. Dont like when Vergil os portrayed as ice cold after dmc5.

When I first saw V back when I knew absolutely nothing about dmc, I thought he was edgy and didnt really like him (the video used the ‘what evil lurks I must destroy’ clip out of context). But now that I have played and beaten the series I must say V my poor guy hes an absolute menace.

3. Favorite line/scene you wrote this year

Favorite scene is probably at the end of chapter two of cadence when the boys are trying to do make nice and introduce themselves and Mask keeps (somewhat accidentally) insulting them all. I had a lot of fun with it, and the scene was so easy to write. Plus some of those jokes have been sitting on the backburner for a loooong time.

Favorite line is from a cut section that I'm trying to re-work into chapter 4. Idk why but I think about it a lot: His heart, it seems, can’t imagine a world in which she stays.

15. Something you learned this year

I can still write? It feels like I kinda gave up on writing for a few years, or that the minimal stuff I managed to write was just a horrible struggle with little to show for it. Some days writing does still feel like pulling teeth, but I feel really good that I've managed to write somewhat regularly and proved to myself that I am capable of putting out quality long- and short-form stories.

If you left a comment/review/tumblr ask at all, I have probably read it a dozen times to motivate myself because I really do cherish every single one. It feels kinda mean to choose just one? So don't take this answer too seriously

comment on Cadence chapter 2: "WOOO!!!! YEAH!!!! HELL YEAH IM SO EXCITED!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!" I'm actually obsessed with this comment. Pure excitement and that's it. 100/10 I love it.

I only have 4 new bookmarks from this year which doesn't seem right, but I did a lot of re-reading this year. There are also some more fics I need to go back and bookmark/comment on.

Doing one favorite author for each of the fandoms I read most from this year, which were FMA and Loz/LU.

FMA: @redketchup, specifically their fic In the Shape of a Soul. daemon au that makes you forget that it's not actually canon because the dialogue and characterization are so good. Cannot recommend enough go read it now.

LoZ/LU: @wutheringmights for the ongoing LU masterpiece Call Them Brothers. Incredible longfic that dares to ask: What if we took the plot of Hyrule Warriors seriously? make sure to check the tags and trigger warnings.

Florence is a type of person who gets curious and interested easily so she embodies this trait into cooking. Her personal favorite is to make cookies and pasta, which she likes experimenting with new recipes. In some occasions if she's a bit worn out she likes to make a cup of goat milk and read a couple novels to unwind herself

11) What was your inspiration for your OC?

It all started when i got back to the twdak fandom and was also in a brainrot after reading agatha christie's novel "and then there were none". (Spoilers if you havent read it) I was a big fan of Old Justice Wargrave (or Laurence Wargrave) because he was such a well written villain with a strong sense of justice yet an "innocent" and calm sadistic demeanor. At that time i already had Florence in my drafts but i haven't got any good refs, so i decided to make my favorite old man as the refs for my girlie :>

In a fight or flight situation, i do think she likes to take the risk. In making decisions or to put it simple, when she joined Krueger corp. she already knew theres no turning back because her father had already "given up" on her. So she will strive to prove that she's strong enough without him. So, a fighter.

As much as i wanted to answer with wacky pretty flowers, i think daisies symbolizes her quite well, since it represents "innocence", loyalty, and ability to keep secrets

Yes. If you have seen the small comic i made with my friend (@im-bored-so-i-draw )'s oc, Jameson Heelshire, he's one of his homies. I dont know if they let me spoil another one but theres also another guy named Gabe, and he's also part of the group.

14) Who's a character your OC cannot stand! It's on sight when they see them!

With the events of him being rejected when he signed up for Myers corp, he absolutely despises Monsieur M. (Or just Myers in general) So everytime the tv at his press office has news about Myers he would reach put for the remote and change the channel to something else. He met Albert too at some point in while working, but he's still tolerable.

16) How's their relationship with their parents? Are they alive?

Henry's parents is indeed still alive. But the relationship is complicated. His mother was actually forced to marry his father because she was already pregnant before they were married. And Henry's mother was a scientist at Voorhees corp. And she was actually half-hearted when she had Henry. So they got divorced, and since his father regretted all of these occurences, Henry was taken in care by his uncle, Harlan. As for his relationship with them now, he still calls his dad and also his mom. Henry could only hope one day that his mother actually aswered the call when he did.

23) Is your OC reliable? Can I call them up at two in the morning if I have a flat tire?

Only if it also benefits him. Like if you call him with the said prompt he'll just reply "and what will you give me?" And if you answered something that pleases him (like you'll help him with his "work") he'll grab his sneakers and a brand new tire to run to you with aid.

So I im currently reading the manga volume 7, as that one just came out in my country, and I noticed that in chapter 30, when motoharu asks Mima how he and Hayate met, he answers (translated from German): “I hit on him” (“Ich hab ihn angebaggert”) and I was like?? Yeah you kinda did, but I didn’t think the mangaka would actually write that or that the characters would ever acknowledge it, much less Mima realising he did that. But then it also never gets elaborated when motoharu asks for an explanation

So yeah, have you read chapter 30 yet? What were you’re thoughts? Or did the translation/whatever language your reading it in make the Dialoge something else?

Also, do you think that the “I hit on him” could be a hint to what could come or how their relationship could potentially evolve?

hi!! i'm sorry, you say "volume 7" and "chapter 30" but to my knowledge those haven't even been released yet - volume 5 was the newest release in japan, it isn't being released in america until october, and on kokone nata's pixiv page she's only posted up to chapter 26 (and i don't speak japanese, so i'm not ENTIRELY sure what's in the volume 5 chapters she's posted, but i skimmed through them and it doesn't look like anything that matches the convo you described). unless germany has been publishing chapters already released in some kind of different format that splits them apart into thirty, there perhaps might have been some kind of mix-up with what you've read, because i definitely haven't read anything like that yet.

could you possibly be talking about some of her other illustrations on her pixiv/twitter? i don't know too much about those since they're not translated, but in the case that somehow this is part of the series - i don't think it would have been a mistake for mima to say it, and i don't think it's out of character for kokone nata to do so. i guess it also depends on the quality of your publishing company and how much you know about/trust them to handle things because there's always a chance that something got lost in the process, but imo that seems very much like a standard mima (and by extension, kokone nata) thing to do! he didn't realize it himself exactly, it was probably the way hayate had reacted in the first place ("sorry, i'm not a girl") that led to mima making the joke like that. if it didn't get elaborated, it's probably for the laughs - cdd is a slice-of-life comedy first and foremost, and while miscommunication sucks in drama, it's HILARIOUS otherwise.

in terms of how their relationship could evolve - based on what you've said about it i do believe that it was played off as a joke, but i do think hayate's got the most adorable celebrity/puppy crush on mima (and igarashi too! just any capable cool adult, which i relate hard to LMAO). tbh from what i've read i really think mima sees hayate as a younger person to take care of. now with igarashi in the group, we can clearly see that kokone nata often divides them between the "older" and "younger"; shun, hayate, and souma are often all grouped up together (hanging out at the cafe, movies, walking sakura, etc), and igarashi and mima are usually stuck together as well. there is a possibility that how mima sees hayate might change in the future, but for now i think they're content with what they have!

2. When it comes to portraying falling for someone, there is no inherent difference between falling in it as a men or a woman. But I am just a guy and never been a woman so idk. Everyone is diffrent too, and I think you write them all very emotionally charged. Full of nuance and depth qnd all those feelings that just might burst.

(I might be a few chapters behind but I really like the emotionally repressed and self destructive Remus as in it makes sense. It makes a lot of sense for a guy I think. Irl he would most probably be the typa fella that starts going to the gym or gets into 1200cc piss missile motorcycles. Maybe even drink a bit too much, but "strong" enough to get over himself and use that toxic masculinity to go back to "normal")

However, after thinking about it and like whilst keeping in mind what I said earlier - I do have a gf. Looking at me and my Sunshine, whilst strongly generalizing - I think it took me longer to fall for her. Thank god I'm not coming off as objectifying, I swear I was terrified, I feel like there is a very thin line, especially for BL and I wanted to portray it right and do it justice, especially since I know a lot of fanfiction can be complicated, and I have read plenty of people (specifically queer men) complaining about the way their relationships are typecasted and portrayed in said media.

I definitely focus heavily on their feelings, but that's kind of the reason I decided to write GC in the first place, I wanted to explore the complications of a throuple hehe.

It makes so much sense that guys would be more reserved I think, but I think especially in queer situations, both for men and women would be, since you might not be sure if the other person is actually queer too, idk if that makes sense?

Regarding specific scenes, I remember I was super nervous when I wrote the library scene with Sirius and Remus in Chapter 26, since it was Sirius' first time to feel something for Rem, and panic over it, I was so scared it wasn't doing it right. And also in chapter 31, when Sirius sees Minho and Tom kiss and has another gay panic revelation moment. I mean, I'm not sure when I figured I was pansexual but I think if I had seen two girls kiss in a closet and I didn't know about it, it would have definitely done something to me if that makes sense.

more than a woman is the ultimate kevin day song to me……. im so glad you agree…… i knew you would understand. i was listening to that playlist the other day and realized i HADNT added it yet and it felt like an oversight so i had to fix it immediately. it was very important to me the whole playlist wasn’t sad. i stsrted my kevin playlist in the height of me losing my mind about him last year in july (i read the books for the first time at the end of may!) but it only made me crazier so i held off making the jean one until november LOL. his is def a little more sad but i think a good portion of the songs are hopeful :-) and YEAH jean is soooo hozier to me. i gave myself a limit on how many hozier songs i could add. it will probably be broken eventually

DBSIDBSID. the kandrew beef is Personal and it’s so funny. i am working on making them get closer it just takes a lot of time bc andrew simply does not like to stick around. he comes to a sort of truce with them at some point, mostly after he and jean have a Talk alone, but he still doesn’t like kevin for a while. there IS side andreil tho…. neil is 26 :3 he comes to visit kevjean in paris for a bit and immediately causes problems. but the problems help them get their shit together so it’s fine! andrew is of course intrigued. most of it happens in the background tho bc they like to disappear together…… but neil actually ends up in foster care and gets adopted by wymack when he’s around 13, which is around the same age andrew is adopted and meets jeremy, so they understand each other still :) they do a lot of sneaking around and do not want their relationship perceived at all vs jeremy knox head of the PDA committee and very happy for his own friend finding love.

the biting…….. jeremy falls somewhere in the middle of the spectrum but he does suffer from the most intense feelings of love anyone has ever felt and will latch on like a dog and not let go sometimes. it really depends on his mood and what they’re doing how hard he bites ^-^ jean almost never complains but kevin always does. as is how they are. and they really both love attacking kevin. sitting there biting at his neck and shoulders and jean in particular likes gnawing on the wrist bone. jeremy is only a few inches shorter than kevin but will not hesitate to push him around….. dreamy sigh. at first he’s very nervous about overstepping Anything around either of them but once he knows that they actually like him he becomes such a menace. it’s his life’s duty to make kevin day, his childhood celebrity crush, a little embarrassed and whiny. both he and jean are soooo happy to tease kevin and kevin complains constantly about being ganged up on. jeremy is actually still IN college too, he turns 23 toward the beginning of the fic (i. hc him as a cancer!) and he and andrew have their fifth year to get through so he’s really just some college kid nibbling on and picking on them and taking over their apartment. trust that jean gets teased too he wouldn’t want anyone left out!

JEANFO….. jean….. my apple strudel….. there is so much i could say about him but it feels hard to do him justice…… he really is so special. he’s a little more healed of course bc he’s 28 and has always had kevin keeping contact with him. kevin got out at 14 so jean was there for 6 years without him and it’s really. it’s not a good time for him. but kevin refuses to lose contact and even sneaks across state lines to see him at 16 when he gets his license (with 14yo neil). jean has always had something to hold onto and live for. so jean is doing okay……. he still struggles and he’s very stubborn so he would rather AVOID things and kevin isn’t the kind of person who’s going to push him to face them (kevin has his own things to avoid) but he gets a good push from jeremy. and he LOVESSSS keremy. it’s one of his greatest joys that the two people he loves most care about each other the way they do. he’s so obsessed with them and so excited to show them off when they get together with friends. he’s really a little bit of a clingy freak :-) ESPECIALLY if he gets drunk. he’s a very needy drunk and if someone doesn’t kiss him (or if he doesn’t get to bite) his whole night is ruined and they certainly can’t have that. he learns quickly he cannot keep up with jeremy Party Boy knox tho. he’s a silly guy <3 sooo bitchy to everyone outside of his boyfriends but tender with them…. they’re trusted with his girlish little heart. i could talk about him for ages but i fear tumblr will cut me off LOL our responses to each other are getting so long like we’re writing letters by candlelight to be sent post-haste…..
