disclaimer before i get into this: i adore Pato, i adore Colton, and i LOVE indycar and i truly believe that the FIA should put in proper equivalencies to allow the guys over in indy to get their superlicense. 

HOWEVER if they grant Colton an SL for Red Bull when they clearly denied McLaren’s request last year for Pato................... we have a fucking problem.

for reference, here are Pato’s results:

and here are Colton’s:

they have virtually the same results when we look at the last 3 years (which are the years that would be valid for SL consideration), and as stated by Pato here, 3rd place would give Colton 20 SL points, 5th would give him 8 SL points, and that totals to 28 SL points, which is NOT equal to the 40 required to race, and is less than the 30 SL points that Pato technically has.

i can’t wait to see what the decision ends up being next week, because one way or another it will clearly show if the FIA is in Red Bull’s pockets or not.
