Leo was sure he was going crazy.

He always had a pretty big amount of silly crushes on girls, but with you? It was getting way too serious. Of course, you're beautiful, incredibly kind, and too generous for your own good, and you treated him well, but that isn't enough reason to make him lose sleep; at least that's what he thought.

And he was extremely wrong. Being in your presence was the equivalent of being bathed in the sunlight, and gods, he felt like a prisoner who hadn't seen the sun in years.

He's completely obsessed with you; he just needs the courage to verbalize that, but being honest, Leo felt like a coward at the moment.

While being lost in his thoughts (the thoughts being the pretty daughter of Apollo that never leaves his mind), the boy finally falls asleep.

Leo doesn't mind waking up if that means spending the day with the people he loves, so after getting ready for the day, he searches for you.

And he found you, talking with a much younger camper, helping him. You're smiling like it's the best day of your life, and Leo could swear that you're almost glowing.

The boy makes its way to you the same moment you finish talking to the kid, now having your full attention on Hephaestus' son.

"Leo! Good morning!" Your voice to him had the same effect as listening to his favorite music, it made him happy in ways he couldn't explain, even if his life depended on it. 

"Yn! Good morning!" He mimics you, not in a bad way, just a teasing one. You roll your eyes in fake annoyance.

"Sooo, did you sleep well, Valdez?" You ask, seeming really interested in the answer, but he knows that you're like that for everything, being extremely kind.

"Not really, would be better if I dreamed about you," you laugh amusingly.

"You say that every day, y'know?"

"I know, I say because it's true. " You can't help but blush a little. You're used to Leo flirting with you, but it never gets past that, so you just learned to joke back.

"Hilarious, Valdez... fortunately, I slept very well today, and I'm more excited than normal! I think it's because it's so sunny today, that's awesome, was thinking about going to the lake later. I can't waste such a pretty day like this one painting inside my cabin..."

"Unfortunately, I'll be in the bunker today, I have lots of things to do."

Leo could swear he would pass out at that moment. He couldn't even think about denying your offer, he would prefer dying to doing that.

After a few seconds, you guys get to the lake.

"Look how pretty it is! You have to go swimming with me, it’s a need.”

"Look, sunshine, water and fire don't get along so well, so I might skip that one" he says, apologetic. You frown, thinking.

"We don't need to go swimming, we can just talk, i really don't care." You smile lovingly at him.

"I don't want to ruin your day! There are many people that can go with you, you'll find someone better to do that." He's so oblivious that it's getting concerning.

"I want to spend time with you, Valdez. I don't mind if it's swimming or just talking, I want to, you know..be with you."

"Oh." He's acting like a loser, he can't think straight anymore and is blushing like crazy, but who cares?

That's when you realize you're still holding his hand, and you don't want to change that. You can feel he notices too.

Things I Liked:

basically every moment where we got to see Will. I was laughing at so many things that Will said and I missed having that, since I will never get enough of Will's humor.

Seeing Jesse interact with the Merry Thieves. It made me so happy and I love seeing Jesse's dry humor mixed in with the Merry Thieves; he fits in with them so well.

Just human Jesse in general. Everything about him made me so happy. He was so kind and brave and quite funny.

Getting to see more of Anna/Ari. During the first book we got almost nothing of them, partially because of Ari being poisoned but also because Anna was kind of not in the main circle yet.

Christopher visiting Grace and them getting to know each other. It made me so happy that there was someone who could see past what Grace had done and could give her a second chance, and their bond over science was so sweet.

Thomastair. That's it. No explanation needed.

Ghostwriter I thought was pretty well done, but the whole "them kissing would cause Lucie to see demon stuff" was kind of unnecessary.

Things I didn't like:

The whole love triangle. I still don't think that Matthew truly loved Cordelia and i never believed it would be an actual love triangle

the fact that the truth about the bracelet had to be kept secret for so long. it felt kind of unnecessary. there were other ways to draw out the plot than that.

the fact that tatiana exists

Kit's death. I feel like it's so unfair that of all people, he's the one to die. it didn't feel well written, it felt like it had to happen bc she couldn't kill the queer characters and Kit was the only main character left that she COULD kill.

Grace's entire plot being kind of left without an ending.

The lack of mourning/a funeral for kit. (since we didnt get enough mourning, i think im going to write it bc i want to suffer for the purpose of completing the loose ends)

the pacing. the entire plot felt so oddly paced, and it wasn't as much of a mystery like choi or chog.

again, why christopher? i feel like matthew would've been a better choice, or perhaps sona.

magnus kind of getting written out so early

though i love our gay couples and their accepting families, it is a little bit unrealistic. i get that the point is that this particular batch of the families are very kind people in comparison to what their families become a little farther down the road(ie Robert, maryse, etc), but it still feels a little bit unrealistic.

i felt like the whole lucie and cordelia struggling with their friendship thing was a little bit too much to add into this already very full book. (although i loved the wicked cordelia reveal that was fun)

i feel like we didn't fully get the wrap up at the end that we needed. we didn't see enough of them after the battle, as they came to terms with their losses and their wins and how they would continue their lives.

also we never really got to see jesse meeting his cousins/aunts and uncles and i wish we'd gotten that.

bridget? whats going on with her? theres a throwaway line in the coda mentioning something is odd abt her, but thats it??

grace. what is going to happen to grace? i wish we could perhaps see her and figure out if she's alright.

Imaginary friends?

I think as someone who started watching horror movies at a very young age and is also super obsessed with horror movies/books now, i fully believe that if you had a imaginary friend as a child, you’re absolutely cursed and haunted and u need to be exorcised asap. (/j) no my parents were always super realistic with me and told me point blank that santa wasnt real, imaginary friends were only for mentally ill kids, and the only real big guy is the big boy in the sky. so. no imaginary friends BUT i did and still have a teddy bear (very creatively named bear bear) and i used to cry when i lost him.

It's just...a really hard question, to be honest. First of all, I think it's totally normal to get excited to talk to a friend and think and overthink about friends.

So...I'm trying to think about the difference between romance and friendship (besides the fact that I, personally, am physical with the person I am romantic with.)

I think romance is...deeper? Like you just want to know everything about them. They make you laugh and giggle and you care so much about what they think and everything they do just makes you astounded. You want to make them happy all the time and you would to anything for them.

Also, it's important to address that love is different than infatuation. People who have crushes then to be a bit obsessive, but it can be more surface-level: usually based on like...looks and popularity. Love tends to be deeper. A connection.

Does any of that sound like how you feel?

I'm not sure how to word some of these things and make them make sense so bear with me please. My partner for over a year has been polyamirous and I knew that before we started dating, I personally am not but it has never bothered me up until now, like I love them but lately no matter what I do or try to talk abt it's always about the new partner. A little over a month ago was our one year and we normally would spend that day or weekend together for like date nights and things like that, but last month it's almost like they forgot? Like I texted them and asked if we were going to stay at my place or theirs and they just asked what I meant and at first I thought they were just fucking with me but then later that day they posted with their new partner and captioned it like really sappy I guess? Like it was more than they have given me in the past few months. I'm not necessarily jealous I guess I'm more so upset. I've tried talking to them about how I feel and they either brush it off or just completely ignore me, and I know that new partners are exciting and all but it just makes me super sad. And not only did they miss our one year but also my birthday and everything since then. I know this makes them sound horrid but they are truly an amazing person. I wouldn't be involved with them if they weren't. I feel like they lost interest and then the next day they are all over me, I asked them to explain a couple of things about our relationship and they just kept going on and on about this partner. I don't want to end things but it seems like they don't really care for how I feel anymore? I'm not sure what to do and they won't talk to me about what they want to do either so I'm just sitting here pondering life and crying.

I think those people who hold what Carlos’ parents do against him are mostly the same group of people who hate Carlos on principle, nitpicking everything he does or says 🤷‍♀️ I imagine they want to be bullies in real life but are too afraid of consequences so they resort to social media to live out their mean girl fantasies online where you can say anything without any repercussions (unless you’re a celeb I guess). It’s the sad reality we live in. He gets hate when he’s realistic in interviews about ferrari’s results which somehow means he doesn’t have a champion mentality, but when he says he wants to win - he’s totally delusional. Like, pick a struggle, people haha. Or like drama the other day, that he hasn’t been a Ferrari fan since birth therefore isn’t as worthy of support as Charles. Just all these stupid things that make my head explode every time I see it. Why would anyone waste their time posting obsessively about someone they don’t like? I will never understand.

Again, I’m not talking about all Charles fans of course, just those hardcore stans that dedicate their socials to Carlos hate more than to supporting their fav. He is the character with the single most fascinating morality ever because what he determines as "acceptable" vs "unacceptable" very sharply deviates from the kind of accepted Good Person yardstick but his worldview is still very understandable (in that it is very easy to understand why he thinks the way that he does NOT in that i agree with him lmfao), especially considering the society he lives in. I want to study him like a bug

sakura knows a lot about rumor spreading, and aoi knows a lot about rumors. aoi is actually the one who spreads her rumors, so i feel like they've had to interacted at least once! they both know a lot about gossip and i feel like their dynamic would be really interesting.. talking badly/honestly about other people because they feel comfortable enough with each other. i mean, it's someone who fakes everything about their life and someone who's brutally honest

i feel like sakura could help aoi open up about what she truly thinks since she's always lying about how she feels. sakura would be able to see right through her persona and just straight up tell her she doesn't have to be so fake around her. while sakura seems a little more dull emotion wise, with time aoi can tell when she's happy and all and it's usually just around her that she smiles [ghost hotel sakura smiling when aoi's in her room with flowers.. .. .. Melts]

sakura doesn't really smile but around aoi, she will! aoi doesn't usually give genuine smiles, but around sakura, she will! basically . they are in love tbh
