anyway the most important part abt you being a god and child is that you can now fulfill your childhood dreams of riding a dragon whenever you want

(one way to quickly get Mondstadt citizens to trust Dvalin again was just constantly seeing him flying overhead, occasionally seeing a small child on his back also helped lol)

Demo Update: New MC/Daonna Sprites!

Good morning, fateful friends!

We have an exciting update for The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) today! Specifically, the demo now officially boasts three new sprites for MC and Daonna!!! (Read more below 👇)

If you remember from our Kickstarter, one of our stretch goals was the ability to fully customize the appearance of MC and their mysterious doppelganger, Daonna. Sadly, we weren't able to reach this goal at the time - which meant that for the foreseeable future, MC and Daonna would be functionally represented by a single sprite. This was obviously not ideal, since this limits players to a single skin tone, hair colour, eye colour, etc., so after our Kickstarter ended we decided to go back to the drawing board and come up with a middle ground solution that was more realistic/feasible for us. Hence: Daonna now has three distinct designs, which players can use as a basis for their MCs if they want to. (Examples: Maybe your MC styles their hair differently, or never goes without rouge!) Ultimately though, if you still prefer your own headcanon to our sprites, feel free to consider them simply interpretations of MC/Daonna's many possible appearances! Mythology is often full of contradictions, after all ;)

In addition to MC/Daonna, there are a few other new things in this version of the demo (which will update automatically on Steam, but needs to be fully redownloaded from Itch):

Bug fixes (missing audio for Milesian, added entry for Finn, some typos, missing credit names)

A new, fabulous sprite for the lady shopkeeper (with another for the shopkeeper man on the way!)

A new sprite for Maeve's crows

A new animation for Maeve's crows

Minor UI updates

EDIT: There appears to be a bit of confusion surrounding the nature of this update, so I want to clarify: These sprites will only appear in the character creation menu and when Daonna (who already had a sprite prior to now regardless) makes appearances in-game. Otherwise, the gameplay is the same as before. This sprite will not be visible when your MC speaks, so you are still free to imagine your MC in any fashion of your choosing.

Thanks for inspiration @\rae-pss!), but someone came up with an idea of what would happen if the characters from WHB started to realize that the MC was not us. That there is someone on the other side of the screen who takes care of them. I created a little silly fic loosely interpreting it.

Life is so repeatable. Work, eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep, only with some little pleasures in between. You took off jacket, threw it away and plopped down at the chair. Old phone landed on a table as you were struggling with thoughts whether to eat instant noodles today or heat up yesterday's dinner.

"Come on, boys." You turn on game and tapped loading screen just from boredroom. "I don't have all evening."

You wanted to have a pet, you've considered it a lot. But with these earnings, the closest thing to an animal in this house were fish sticks. So all that had left to do was talk to fictional hot guys. At least they don't need to be feed.

When Andrea appeared on the display, you tapped on him with a smile.

"Hi, babygirl."

"Who’s there…?"

You've never seen this speech bubble before. Update? But nothing downloaded, and any additional files were in a queue. Well, maybe it was one of those little tweaks nobody notice. You tapped the screen about three hundred more times to see if there were any new voice lines, but this time everything was the same. Maybe it was just a combination of overactive imagination and tiredness. Yes. Instant noodles will be a better option, you will make them faster and go to bed faster.

Lying half on the chair, half on the desk, and half somewhere in between, you were chatting with a friend on Discord and doing tasks for nightmare pass.

"That sucks. What are you going to do about it?"

"No idea. But if they take my bonus because of her, I'll kill her, I swear."

"I hope everything will be fine, but I have to go. Sorry."

"Yeah… Have fun on a date."

"Thanks!"

Hearing the disconnection sound, you sighed. Obviously, you couldn't blame them, keeping fingers crossed that they had found their other half of orange, but now they didn't even have time to meet for coffee, and you lived three minutes' walk from each other. Talking together, joking together, everything faded into the background. In addition, work was getting worse...

"I also hope everything will work out"

The voice sounded different. Familiar. But they definitely weren't your friend. You quickly checked the screen to see if anyone had joined the voice chat, but the screen was blank.

"What… Who? How?" Of course, there was no one around the room. Is this the beginning of hallucinations?

"I'd like to ask this too."

The voice that came from the speakers. From the telephone. From...?

The phone screen showed only a familiar sprite turning its head from side to side.  You forgot about the strange update from a few days ago. Was that it again? Andrea's red braid was beautifully animated, and facial expressions changed, delicate movements of the eyebrows and lips showed new emotions. It really looked stunningly real.

"Gorgeous." You complimented in a whisper godly work of the animator. "I can't wait until you get L, since you already look so sexy as S..."

"What are S and L...?"

He answered without tapping. Moreover, he tilted his head as if listening. There's been a lot of talk about AI lately, but you didn't agree to use the microphone in game… Unless it's some stinky term of services. This needs to be turned off, it will probably be in the settings. But after checking options, there was nothing like that there.

"Strange…"

"Trust me, I find it unnatural too." Andrea replied with an uncertain smile. "I hear you, but I don't feel anyone around me. But your voice… It’s nice. Can you keep talking? It feels good to be less... alone."

He sounded so much in character. Whoever programmed this, put a lot of work into it. It was a little weird... but you were so tired and done that chatting with the AI seemed like a nice change.

"Sure. It's weird talking to the screen, but well, I do it all the time anyway. Good thing it’s only an AI, because if anyone heard half the nonsense I moan, they'd probably send me to solitary confinement."

"You're calling grown man babygirl."

"Because you are!"

He chuckled, and it felt almost like a talking to an actual human. Muttering such nonsense, you felt ashamed for a moment. If the government suddenly started eavesdropping, the agent who was in charge was such a poor man.

"Tell me something else." He asked. "I've been hearing your voice for several days. I'd like to finally know who I'm having the pleasure of talking with."

He didn't have to ask twice. Of course, without providing any personal details, but you could give him your name. And told about that stupid bitch at work...

You checked tumblr, checked X, and checked the official website of the game. There was no word about an update anywhere, and after writing that this new option with talking to devils was great, all mutuals started to worry if everything was okay or asked how to unlock it. What were you supposed to tell them? That it just appeared?

What's worse, you started to treat Andrea like an ordinary person. A human being. Turning on the game during cleaning, cooking or making bed, talking to that little devil on the screen, and... listening to his stories. He spoke so beautifully. Talked about how he likes to spend his time (if not murdering angels), or what everyday life in Nilfheim is like. Sometimes he worried about the war, sometimes was happy when you stayed with him longer being off work.

"My blindness is truly a gift." He said one day with a dreamy smile.

"Why so?"

"In this daily hustle, if my eyes were still working properly, I certainly wouldn't be able to hear you, a small voice in my consciousness. I thought there was something wrong with me. But when I finally focused, you heard me too."

What he said was so similar to what you remembered about own feelings. Longing tightened your chest, longing for someone who didn't exist in this world, and that feeling turned into pain.

"I'm also glad we can hear from each other." Your voice changed noticeably. 

Andrea sensed it.

"Now that we've been able to talk, maybe one day we'll be able to touch each other?" He held his hand out in front of him, but you knew he couldn't pass through the screen. Still, you placed a finger where his hand was. Stupid mind was tricking you that you could feel his warmth. Tears came to your eyes.

"One day." You whispered with a trembling voice. "I don't know how, but one day we will."

"Do not cry, please. I don't want you to ever cry because of me.”

You tried to keep calm, but it was no use. Maybe one day, in another time, in another reality. Maybe it will work. No, it has to work. No matter how crazy others might think you were, this wasn't the world you were supposed to stay in. Your intended one waited patiently on the other side of the screen. You just didn't know how to do it. Not yet.

Hi! I saw your ask about skin tones and honestly, that is very much a barebones excuse to not include skintones in your game. You act as though adding skintones to a sprite would be a complete hand-drawn new asset when it would quite literally be filling in a pre drawn base for both Opal and the mc. Not only that but you potentially have thousands of mc outfits you promised for specific tier havers on the kickstarter. And then for 250,000 dollars, you're telling me we'll get more colors but not even 2 or 4 skintones when there are games with Less funding who have more skintones? Especially considering OL:B&A had the exact same amount of skintones and I could count all the afro centric hairstyles in that game on my two hands. I rather have more skintones than just pale, peach, olive, tan, brown and dark brown (most of which screams a 2000s foundation line of tones) than have more hair or clothing colors. I'm sorry, I love your games, I really do but that's an extremely lazy and abhorrent response from you and I am extremely disappointed.

With all due respect, you set this goal for 250k, over three times the original goal you set for the kickstarter, the idea that somehow you can promise an additional set of darker colours for the clothes, accesories hair and eyes alongside the additional MC pieces people are going to request but not an additional skintone because of Opal seems a little ridiculous. I'm not an experienced artist but I do know how art files tend to work and I imagine adding additional colours to Opal's base design wouldn't be an extreme undertaking. In fact, by contrast, the work to add more colours to the clothes and hairs seems much more labourous considering the amount of them and the fact that some of the clothes have subcolours.

Again, I do hope I don't come accross as rude but I just feel like this announcement was highly dissapointing, especially considering the fact that the additional colours are currently the biggest goal for the kickstarter at the moment" There were two replies, so I put them together. I understand. It would be bad and make no sense if that didn’t happen. I can say that this has nothing to do with funding. I'm not gonna attach more skin tones to a stretch goal, that’s not fair. It’ll be done whenever it can be regardless of what happens with the Kickstarter.

The other colors for hair and such is something I confirmed can be done by our programmer ahead of time using a color picker system in coding.

The situation as it stands today for Opal is that I personally don't have the skills to recolor her myself, the artist we have is in a situation where it would be unkind to increase how much work they have to do (it'd be easier if even less work could be on them), and while another artist could be hired- that hasn't happened at this point. So, saying it "could happen but maybe not" is cautious development process. It’s how it went with both the Cove Patreon Bonus Moments, where I pretended for months that it may or may not happen while working on it behind the scenes because I wasn’t sure how long I’d need to finish it and was worried it could be delayed for long stretches of time.

Being realistic, it is virtually a 100% certainly that before the game comes out, the skin tones will be expanded. There is no good reason why it wouldn’t. I was waiting until things got to a better point in production before coming out to officially say that it’s happening.

And I could’ve said it’s extremely likely but we’re not able to do it quite yet and avoided making anyone feel hurt. I wish my way of handling it hadn’t made the people who believed in our games sad. The reason why I didn’t is that I just can’t help but be averse to making promises I can’t do/the team can’t do and so have to rely on something else working out at some point in the future, even if it is entirely likely that it will.

That’s because I know that these things will make a lot of people happy. I want the excitement and any praise that might come to not happen until the goal has been achieved or is on the way to being achieved for sure. To a degree it’s helpful for players to have confidence in what the company is promoting, but it’s mainly to help with my own habit of catastrophizing. I tend to believe bad things could happen and I’ll let people down even when it’s so unlikely it’s not worth considering. I consider it anyway. And so, you get this kind of long-term hedging before the feature people hoped for suddenly appears. Even now my compulsion is to add a caveat that “there’s still a chance something (I don’t even know what) could happen and it won’t be added so don’t thank me yet” despite me already coming out with the truth that there’s every intention to have it added. I’m sorry to have disappointed you and made you feel disregarded by doing this. Hopefully when the skin options are expanded people will be able to enjoy the game a lot more than how it is with the current demo. And thanks for taking the time to let me know what you thought rather than giving up on the project entirely.

There’s a lot to love about Solomon. He has tons of good qualities and his place in the overall plot of ObeyMe is solid. He’s well written and he’s the perfect example of how to write a powerful character. Which could be its own post tbh.

But the reason I like Solomon so much?

He’s absolutely devoted to MC.

Ya know those husbands in fiction that love their wives so much it’s cheesy Yeah that’s literally Solomon.

Loyalty is a very attractive trait in general but especially in romantic partners. This man was ok with the 3 realms being completely destroyed because he cares about MC that much.

Severing MC’s pacts by killing Lucifer would upset them and the mere thought of them hating him has stopped him from considering it all together. Killing MC isn’t an option anyone considers including Solomon.

Ya know, Mister “protector of humanity”? Dude was willing to let the human realm be destroyed for his crush.

This is around the time that I fell for this man and I fell hard. The first time I saw his blush sprite it was over for me. Hard to imagine now but I wasn’t always a Solobestie. Another white haired man had my heart, which honestly makes their lil rivalry hilarious.

Obviously the other characters are loyal to MC as well but Solomon’s loyalty feels different.

I love Solomon so much that he’s changed my worldview. I love humans infinitely more than I ever have because of him. He’ll always be important to me.

I have to ask, how did you edit your plus sized MCs? (I imagine my ID MC Mary to have a similar body type to that but slightly smaller)

I love it because I have been waiting a plus size protagonist in Choices and I'm been starving!

Ooh so the software I used to make these plus-sized edits is called Krita, which is open source and free to download for PC!

You also don't need to use Krita if you just want to try your hand at basic edits like changing a sprites clothes - you can stack up layers of Choices assets in something like Canva online.

There are plenty of amazing people who make Choices assets available -- @farizrz and @cassiopeiacorvus are my usual go-tos (thank you again for your hard work!)

You just download the images you need, and assemble your layers like so:

I'll ramble more under the cut about some of the specifics 💖 (Sprites in their underwear below!)

Let me preface this with: idk what I'm doing. I'm self taught, still learning, and I don't have an art background, so others can probably do a much better job than me, but here's my attempt at this stuff!

So, to start, we want to grab the bits that we'll need - the base "Student" body type, your MC face from Immortal Desires, and the new sprite we want to edit - in this case, its Dee/Maia's body from Getaway Girls

Then, you can begin by looking at the colour palettes of both sprites to see what you are working with - I used the eyedropper tool a few times to get an idea of the various colours used in the highlights, base colours, shadows, undertones, etc of these sprites. You can see the ID sprite seems a little lighter, cooler, and less saturated overall.

From here its a case of making a new group and adding various layers to it to achieve the effect you want through a combination of "Colour", "Screen" and "Multiply" layers, as well as using the "HSV Adjustment" and "Colour Adjustment Curves" tools.

Each skin tone is going to be a case by case thing -- some will want more reds in the shadows, or some will need parts of a multiply layer erased bc it's losing emphasis on highlighted areas, etc.

I recommend clicking this little symbol (I think its a clipping symbol? Again, I'm just learning this all by trial and error) to essentially keep you from drawing outside the lines.

And then its just lots of minute adjustments! Here is a comparison of the edited body with the original "Student" counterpart. The physical manipulations were done with the "Liquify", "Warp", and "Perspective" tools. (Unfortunately, the more you (well... I lol) edit things, the more detail gets lost and blurry, so you can see things like her hands are beginning to lose detail.)

And then once you've made all your adjustments, you get something like this!! Here is a comparison between the original "Student" body type, one of my own MCs, and Mary, whose new body type is somewhere in between the two (hopefully) like you wanted!

Throw on a sleeveless version of one of the outfits from ID2, and some hair, and you're done! (Here are some transparents of our beloved Mary for you ft. some of the ID hair options, plus one that made me think of the photo you used in her "Meet My MC" profile ✨💛

Thinking about Monika x isekai (is that the right term?) reader

Like imagine this:

When you had downloaded the game, you hadn’t really heard much about it. Just that it was a dating sim where something went extremely wrong. Initially, you weren’t interested after all you liked games with happy, soft endings . That changed after seeing one of the possible romance options.

Monika.

She was beautiful. With her kind smile and responsible attitude she was exactly your type. Simply just looking at her sprites on the games page was enough to make your stomach churn with excitement. What would her dialogue be like? How hard would she be to woo? What was her relationship with her club mates? What about her initial relationship with the MC? You weren’t delusional enough to think that this games protagonist would be anything noteworthy. Based on the type of game this was, unfortunately he would probably be plain and probably a jerk. However, looking at Monika was enough to convince you.

So you downloaded the game.

After playing for around an hour, you quickly realized that Monika wasn’t able to be romanced. The game wouldn’t let you. Why would they advertise her if she is just an npc? Why go through the trouble? If you had known, you wouldn’t have gone through all of the MC’s shitty dialogue. You wouldn’t have painstakingly thought about which option was the best. You wouldn’t have downloaded this stupid game at all.

Frustrated, you slam the laptop closed not bothering to save your progress.

That night you dreamed of Monika. Of her pretty eyes and kind smile, of her gentle demeanor. It felt so real, like you were there in the game with her, only her. Just Moni-

You woke up. Your alarm blaring through any form of sleep that could have clung to you. Annoyed, you turn it off- but you don’t own an alarm clock…

Where are you?

You feel your breath start to quicken only to realized that, you recognize this place. It’s the MC’s bedroom. But what are you doing here? How did you even get here? Why are you here?

As your thought begin to race you suddenly realize something.

Does this mean that Monika is here? All of a sudden your heart is quickening for another reason. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you realize that you are still you. While you look a bit strange you are still you.

Time blurs as you get dressed and go downstairs, all you can think about is Monika.

How you will impress her? How do you look? Would she think you look okay? Is she even into women?

Next thing you know, you are at school ? How did you get here? Weren’t you supposed to meet with Sayori? Wh-

Rei x Reader (Part 1?) I’m in Love with the Antagonist!

A/n - Life’s been kinda rough, and I don’t think I’ll go back to writing requests just yet. I just felt inspired by the latest episode of I’m in Love with the Villianness (Hated the Lene and Lambert plot tho). Idk if I’ll make this a series.

DISCLAIMER - This story is heavily inspired by the anime/manga, I’m in Love with the Villianess. Literally the same kinda plot with diff characters, but no knowledge of the series is needed to read this.

“Incompetent! Are you dosing off right now? Honestly, I can’t believe a prestigious school like Hope’s Peak doesn’t give out entrance exams to be rid of nitwits like yourself.”

Rei’s harsh words echoed through your mind as you read them off her text window. Her dialogue wasn’t spoken aloud, only a single “Hmph!” voice bit accompanying her written speech. You liked to imagine her voice as stern and demeaning, adding a few of your own headcannons to it.

 Rei Mekaru was a girl who worked her way to the top, and looked down on you, someone she thought was nothing but useless and spoiled.

This girl was your escape from reality. The daily pressures of work and school, trying to socialize but not having anyone who shares your interests, and parents who only demand more and more. With life’s chains wrapped around your body, straining your every movement, your sole outlet of freedom was this silly otome game.

Funny enough, Rei Mekaru was not a love interest, but the antagonist of the story. In this game you could ramble about for hours, the MC was a student of Hope’s Peak’s 79th class, the Ultimate Baker. It may have been a choose-your-own-path type of game, but when your favorite character wasn’t a love interest, it felt a bit limiting. The love interests consisted of the nine boys in your class: Utsuro Maeda, his twin Yuki Maeda, Tsurugi Kinjo, Kinji Uehara, Yamato Kisaragi, Mitsuhiro Higa, Teruya Otori, Haruhiko Kobashikawa, and Kakeru Yamaguchi with specific events, affection levels, and cgs for each character. 

You had your favorites, but weren’t really interested in any of them. Instead, you’d comb through their routes to explore new dialogue and cgs with Rei Mekaru, who over the course of the game, ignores, humiliates, and tries to best the MC in every way. 

She was just so cute!! Rei may seem cruel, but she has a distorted view of the world, sorting people as competent and incompetent, thanks to her backstory of being abandoned by her parents and studying to keep herself off the streets. It was a shame for it all to be sidelined in favor of the love interests. 

Your eyes drooped, and you began to fall asleep to your favorite game for perhaps the hundredth time. But that was okay, the game’s background music and annoyed sprite of your favorite character was enough to keep you content, even after a rough day of being worked to exhaustion.

You were jolted awake by the sound of a hand pounding on the school desk you had been resting your head on. 

“Incompetent! Wake up! Have you not heard a word I was saying!?”

Rei looked pissed, now straightening her posture and glaring down at you.

“…Oh my god….”

You weren’t in your bedroom anymore. Hell, you weren’t even in your world anymore. You didn’t need to look at the classroom scenery twice to know you were in Hope’s Peak. And you wouldn’t, as the beautiful and familiar girl in front of you captured your complete attention.

Rei Mekaru was here in front of you. This wasn’t a cosplay or just a dream. The girl whose design, backstory, and character you loved so much was standing right in front of you, with her classic annoyed expression and her voice as irritated and angelic as you imagined. 

“…Do I have to repeat myself again?” She sighed, “You-...?”

Were your eyes sparkling? Maybe, you resembled your designable avatar, and was basically an anime character now. Were you shaking? Not a bone in your body could remain still, and you fought the urge to hug her right there. 

“You are amazing…” You breathed. 

“Wh-What..!? D-Don’t speak such nonsense!” Rei looked completely taken aback. 

You still couldn’t believe it. Not only were you in your favorite game, but you could do and say whatever you wanted! You could spend time with Rei! You could get close to her! And maybe even…!

You took a breath. She is a person, not an object. You couldn’t force herself into anything. Plus, this game is supposed to be centered around boys.

But with your knowledge of her future, her past, and her character…

You may be able to forge your own path.

Hello! Hope you're doing well, personally I'm very excited for the update! ^^ But I've got a couple questions:

Do fairy people have some innate qualities that humans don't have? Like being physically stronger, or very good eyesight/earing?

Also I'm still a bit confuse by MC and Daonna's supposed resemblance. As of now, Daonna has an established design, so should we just imagine something like a glamour cast on MC that makes it so everyone else sees them as Daonna?

Thank you for your kind words! As the day approaches we get even more stoked! To answer your questions: The Tuatha Dé Danann do indeed have some special qualities, thanks to their namesake goddess, Danu. Most obvious and notable is their extended life spans, for example, and some Tuatha Dé have innate magical abilities. However, going too far into the details broaches spoiler territory, so for now, we will let you do a little theorizing too ;)

The confusion about the resemblance is understandable! We have not established why you and Daonna look the same narrative-wise; that question will be answered later in the story! As far as the sprite goes, it's a simple answer of budgetary limitations. We needed a sprite to represent Daonna, but can not account for every possible player preference in terms of Daonna/MC's appearance. (We tried to achieve this via our Kickstarter, but ultimately fell short of that stretch goal.) Ultimately we consider Daonna's sprite to be an interpretive appearance for the both of them - meaning, if you would prefer to imagine your MC/Daonna with a different appearance, that's totally fine! Mythological figures are often described in contradictory ways depending on the source (Lugh, for example, is sometimes described as blond, sometimes a redhead), so all interpretations of Daonna/MC's appearance are valid in our eyes. We encourage everyone to just 'theater of the mind' that Daonna looks like your MC, despite the sprite.

That said, we are hoping to implement a little feature to expand the amount of in-game options for Daonna/MC's appearance in a future update. This would not be full customization, but rather the option to select between more than the original default.

I don't know if you've done a request like this before, but I'd love to know how you think Saeray kisses, and if he has a particular style or preferred way of kissing!

I was just wondering since we know that Ray and Suit are both unsure in opposite ways towards the kisses - Ray is unsure because he's so timid and feels like he doesn't deserve affection, he didn't even know what a kiss was, and Suit is unsure but takes it out in a more aggressive way.

But now that Saeray's free and is able to have more...experience? Do you think he'd have preferences as he learns, and what do you think they might be..? Or do you think he might just be happy to roll with whatever the mc likes?

I don't think I've ever thought about this specifically before. But, to be fair, I haven't imagined him kissing in any particular way. I think there are a few ways he loves to kiss his partner, but he wants to learn how they feel about kisses before he starts exploring the different ways to kiss another person.

Do you have experience kissing?

If you do, there is a chance you know what you like and what you don't.

Can you give him an idea of what's good for you? What's bad for you? Do you like to french kiss? Do you like gentle kisses every day or only a few times a day? Once? Do you like heavy kisses? Do you want the kiss to be long? Short? Passionate? Lungs aching? Describe it to him if you can. He wants to understand what makes a kiss feel good.

He's not sure if he can kiss you the right way at first, he's following what it looks like from what he's seen in the media Ray and Saeran watched in an attempt to woo you to come to Mint Eye willingly. It isn't much! Only stuff from K-Dramas and Otomes and that isn't all that much to go off of when you think about it. A few game sprites and scenes from TV don't tell him how to kiss someone.

But, GE Saeran is willing to listen and learn every step of the way as long as it makes the two of you happy.

Don't think for a second that he only wants to learn how to make you feel good with a kiss. He wouldn't set aside what he wants just for your sake, just as much as you would do the same for him. The two of you need to work out what feels good and what doesn't, and isn't that the most beautiful learning experience of them all? It's nice to learn together. You get to experience everything together, learning how to make your partner feel good!

If you ask me, his favorite kind of kiss is the kind that climbs. You two are always holding hands, and he seems like the kind of person who would kiss you from the tips of your knuckles to your lips. He would paint a trail of love without a moment's hesitation, because he isn't afraid of showing his love for you in public.

People can stare if they want to but he doesn't care. He would rather get to experience life with you than worry about what other people think. 

Outside of that, I don't think he has any particular preference, he can kiss anywhere he wants to as long as you're cool with it. He wants to show any kind of affection he can, so there's really no reason for him to have a preference unless you have one above all else and he knows to pick that before anything else. He wants you to be comfortable, so if he can help it, he'll make sure to show it in the way that makes you happiest.

reworked the moorland house. mc is staying in there as i imagined when i started sso, i imagined those house extension parts have guestrooms.

i had to reorganise the positions of things since it wouldnt make sense to have front doors be sideways from this angle, and if i had put the stable below where the house is to keep that relation, then the stable wouldve been seen from the back. it just didnt seem like a good idea so this is how it is for now.

the grass textures are still wip bc i dunno what i want.

i think there wont be any shops in moorland (shops probably dont serve a purpose in this game, but i mean visually existing shops). it makes more sense that its just a stable with summer camp activities and riding lessons, while silverglade village and fort pinta have a few shops.

to be fair, i could prob implement a dressup doll screen just for fun in shops, but it would be hard to actually let you dress up the character's overworld sprite (i do have skintone options though). its also hard to manage money, not in the sense of keeping a variable, but in the sense of coding custom menu screens where the player can see their money and inventory and so on. in other engines its not hard to just display stuff, or to add customisability, but here it is. so i think the game's options will be pretty limited - you get to pick from a few preset horses and your character's skintone, and im trying to code a naming screen so you can have a name, but even that's a lot of work here (no string variables, no typing, etc). makes me appreciate how much work went into letting us name all of our pokemon.
