Damian being raised to see himself only as a weapon and later being taught that he's more than that VS Tim being raised to see himself only as a tool and being reinforced of that belief by the same people that taught Damian to love himself is such a good parallel holy shit.
Like, both of them were told that they had to have Purpose™ by their parents, but only one was later told that he could be loved for the sake of being loved while the other was only proved that his parents were right.

“They have every reason to.”
Still mad Withers won’t let me raise the magical orphan Arabella. I want a Last of Us style parent/child relationship for my DUrge, especially the part where Arabella learns that the hero created the cult that led to her parents deaths.
I just think it’d be neat.

I find the scarcity of time travel fics in the Hetalia fandom very disappointing. Like, let's be real for a second here. They WOULD be mentally unstable enough to jump at the chance to try and fix that teeny tiny mistake they made years ago. Only to completely disrupt the time space continuum, almost to the point of erasing their own existence from the universe.

I really want someone Rune to find Vast’s notebook and look at all the names that are highly “Viable” and decide maybe the magpie isn’t as trustworthy as originally thought. Yk?

Here’s an idea. Modern-day Hob is reaching the point where he’ll need to pack up and move on before his current colleagues/friends start to really notice that he isn’t aging with them. So he starts looking around and comes across the sale of the Burgess estate, following the death of Alex Burgess. (Maybe Paul dies not long after Alex or maybe he’s still alive but can’t stand to live in that house any longer.)
And Hob is loaded and hasn’t splurged in a few centuries, and hey, the house is well off the beaten path, shouldn’t raise too many eyebrows, plus it’s well known to be haunted and/or full of occult history and legends, so he buys it under his new name. He intends to treat it like a curiosity or a hobby spot. Could be fun to see what secrets an old manor like this has hidden in its walls.
But it isn’t the walls where he finds the secrets. Oh, there are all sorts of baubles and old tomes that catch his interest and nostalgia from the past...but it’s the bricked-up singular entryway to an old basement (which wasn’t even listed on the property details), that really has him curious.
If the rest of the manor is this spooky and macabre, what could ol’ Burgess have possibly kept in his basement?
(Dealer’s choice on whether Hob has heard the “devil in the basement” rumors. Also coin toss on whether this is before or after Dream meets him at the New Inn)
