[MASTERPOST] Being a witcher is not always easy - but what is, really? Still, Geralt feels bad that Jaskier is now living through something he never wanted him to experience again. (What is a spielzeugkaiser post if there isn't hurt/comfort, honestly-)

Blindfold your whumpees.
Tie their hands together over their head, and put those bindings onto a hook dangling from the roof so that their hands are secured above their head and they can't move away, then blindfold them. Leave them there until they're so tired they'd fall asleep if they could, then beat them up. Punch them in the stomach, and watch them be unable to curl up to protect themself, or use a crowbar if you want more force. Watch them work themself into a panic trying to anticipate and brace for the next blow, then strike at where they're most vulnerable. Rinse and repeat until satisfied.
Bonus marks if whumpee's arms are secured in a way that forces them to stand on their tiptoes in order to relieve the weight pulling on their shoulders, and with every blow they take they lose their balance and have to frantically resume their tiptoe position before their shoulder gets dislocated.

Is Bonnie's go-to comfort method "FEED THE KIDS" in ageswap?
Pretty much!! Cooking is a love language and Bonnie uses it to both comfort the people they care about as well as calm themselves down when they’re in high stress situations. I feel like Bonnie had a habit of cooking/ stress baking whenever they were upset and needed an outlet to release their feelings in a way that wouldn’t harm anyone.
I like to think that in the context of ageswap au specifically, Bonnie would have a candy that they can offer to all the kids during the loops (similar mechanic to offering the bright flower in game). I also think that they’d make sure all the kids were fed (especially loop. ) They make the effort to give loop a good meal every loop when they visit at the favor tree / give them a extra blanket + pillow from the clock tower as a compromise since Loop refuses to go back to the clock tower with Bonnie and the others until act 5/ act 6/ postgame etc.

Just watched the latest Starkid livestream - yes of course I was awake at 5 am on a Sunday - and I love this very specific throughline of Darren's life. It is especially clear after listening to his recent episodes of And That's What You Really Missed. Darren has always pissed off the people around him by being happy when everyone else was stressed.
Nick and Matt went on a mini rant about their experience making Starship and how the show was so derailed by Darren getting cast in Glee. He barely managed to write half of the intended songs for that show - all in his trailer on the Glee set. Matt specifically recounted the story of Darren popping over to Chicago to surprise his friends while they were rehearsing and it was hilarious. Darren being Darren he thought they would all be thrilled to see him and just thrilled to be doing a new musical, but instead he was met with dead silence, followed by a demand for the rest of the songs.
This man is forever happy to be making fun things with a big group of people. And the people around him have to deal with it.
The actual world inside Darren's head VS everyone around him:

Not that I agree with Ludinus, but can I point out that if he did go around searching for information like a normal person, Vasselheim would have just sent someone to deal with him?
Hi anon,
I'm not sure what this is in response to? I think this might be for a post I reblogged, in which case I would recommend you confer with the OP of that post to best understand their intentions and perspective.
Anyway, you can point that out, and have, but I think Vasselheim would only pursue him if he specifically tried to steal information from Vasselheim. He could probably authorize raids on any temple within the Empire without any retaliation, he demonstrably can seize control of archaeological sites, he did straight up steal the Omen Archive from the Grim Verity and Vasselheim's specific response and motivations are unclear (were they chasing him for that, or for, you know, the giant-ass Magic Moon Antenna in the desert), and more generally he's a 900 year old archmage who could have spent the past 600 years developing an elaborate infiltration system for every single academic or religious institution in Exandria if he were willing to actually build a loyal and dedicated heist crew instead of a system of underlings who high-key fucking hate him.
I think many people vastly overestimate the reach and involvement of Vasselheim. I know I made a joke about the Dragon Vatican but actually the way religion and worship works in Exandria seems rather decentralized. Vasselheim hasn't, for example, declared war on the Dwendalian Empire for outlawing half the Prime Deities. If Ludinus physically infiltrated Vasselheim, stole stuff, and was noticed, then yeah, Vasselheim would retaliate, but that's by no means the only way to do research on the gods.

In goofy David Tennant/Michael Sheen Loud news, my husband stumbled upon an edit with David Tennant and Michael Sheen about how they’re In Love ® and he’s been solidly on the ‘Yeah, they’re prob fuckin’ train because of me & he was like, “I don’t get it, they’re not physically compatible at all, one is really skinny and the other is cherubic—“ and I was like bruh you literally described the one who plays an angel on TV as cherubic 💀 💀 💀 certifyibly Good ™️ casting big rare W to Neil Gaiman
