Harry, Hermione and Ron arrived at King's Cross right on time to take the Hogwarts' Express. Ron clutched his pet rat, Scabbers, who - Ron firmly believed - was constantly under attack by Hermione's new ginger cat, Crookshanks. All three were a bit worried to find that Romina had not contacted any of them to at least apologize for not being able to meet with them at the Leaky Cauldron. Although, they also admitted that she had not written to them at all this summer.
"Don't feel that bad," Harry said, "Something's been up with Rom. She barely talked to me and Arden at all."
"Hey, maybe we can ask Arden then, " Ron suggested when he caught sight of the muggle-born girl saying goodbye to her family across from them.
"C'mon, Lilah, we have to go," Arden was tugging the arm of a slightly smaller brunette girl beside her.
"This isn't fair! I want to go too!" Another boy, seeming even smaller than the two girls, stomped his foot. "Muuuum!"
"Hush," went Mrs. King who pulled the boy back. She began fixing the small girl's collar shirt, telling Arden to look after her. "You're her big sister, Arden, and Lilah will need all the help she can get. And you Lilah, follow all the instructions they tell you, alright?"
Lilah King rolled her eyes but nodded her head. "Yeah, Mum. Can we go now, Arden?"
"Yes!" Arden said, looking relieved. She grabbed her sister's hand and pulled her towards the train.
Just as the two girls went in, Hermione called out to them. Arden whirled around, her now longer brown hair whipping in Lilah's face.
"Hey - oh, nice cat," Arden petted Crookshanks in Hermione's arms.
"Thanks. Listen, we wanted to know if you knew anything about Romina," Hermione said for both her, Ron and Harry. "We thought she would come meet us at the Leaky Cauldron but she never showed."
"Doesn't surprise me," Arden mumbled. "I think she went to Diagon Alley way before you guys. But if anything she should be here now."
"I can help find her," Lilah volunteered, making her presence known to the Gryffindors.
Arden sighed and pulled her younger sister beside them. "Everyone, this is my little sister who's starting her first year here...and who's exceptionally nosy so I'd keep caution of your words around her."
Lilah shot her sister a glare before putting on a big smile for the others. "Hi! I'm Lilah! And I know Romina too but she's been very sad for a while now."
"Go find somewhere to sit!" Arden hissed and sent Lilah down the corridor. "I'll catch up! Go!"
"She's not wrong," Harry muttered. "You know something's wrong with Rom…"
Arden agreed but had to remind them that they were all just as lost in the dark as she was. With the time ticking down, the four students had to find somewhere to sit, but Arden had to go find Lilah anyways. When she split from the three Gryffindors, she went into each compartment, poking her head inside to search for Lilah. She passed various students, amongst them ones who wouldn't even lift their heads up from their Daily Prophets.
"You're so rude!" Arden hissed at a particular girl who had ignored her. She never looked up from her copy of the Daily Prophet. Arden moved to slam the compartment door shut when she took a double take. "Wait - Romina!?"
The girl finally raised her head, blank of any expressions. "What?"
"What?" Arden was close to losing it. She forgot about Lilah and walked into the compartment, taking the seat directly in front of Romina. "You're...your hair! What did you do to it!?"
Romina reached to touch an exceptionally short, black curl hanging from her tie-up headband. "What about it?"
Arden snorted and leaned back on her seat. "Are you kidding me? You cut it! Like you just chopped it all off! What an insane thing to do!"
Romina's medium-length hair had been cut up to above her shoulders. It was now in a pony-tail barely staying together due to just how short it was. The tie-up headband Romina usually donned was making no difference; curls were sticking out all over her head.
"Does it look different?" Romina simply asked. Arden nodded her head. "Well then it's good."
"What?" Arden laughed. "You're so - how did you get away with that? Your aunt and uncle okay'd this?"
"Sort of..." Romina said. Changing one's hair is like Transfiguration and as it turned out, she was getting real good at it. She'd read up all on it leading up to September 1st because that's when she would be able to do magic again. The theory transcended into practice beautifully. She was actually kind of proud of herself for pulling it off and the best part was that her aunt and uncle wouldn't know a thing until December.
"Romina, I can't believe you," Arden was still getting over the fact. "You've never cut your hair before! Why'd you do it?"
"I just wanted to look different," Romina swallowed hard. "Thirteen and all, you know."
"Right," Arden rolled her eyes. Her eyes fell on the Daily Prophet that Romina was practically clutching in her hands. "What are you reading then?" She took the copy and read the headline. "Hey wait, isn't this the guy they keep passing on the television?"
"He's a Wizard, Arden, and one of the worst," Romina crossed her arms.
BLACK STILL AT LARGE
Sirius Black, possibly the most infamous prisoner ever to be held in Azkaban fortress, is still eluding capture, the Ministry of Magic confirmed today.
"We are doing all we can to recapture Black," said the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, this morning, "and we beg the magical community to remain calm."
Fudge has been criticized by some members of the International Federation of Warlocks for informing the Muggle Prime Minister of the crisis. "Well, really, I had to, don't you know," said Fudge. "Black is mad. He's a danger to anyone who crosses him, magic or Muggle. I have the Prime Minister's assurance that he will not breathe a word of Black's true identity to anyone. And let's face it — who'd believe him if he did?"
While Muggles have been told that Black is carrying a gun (a kind of metal wand that Muggles use to kill each other), the magical community lives in fear of a massacre like that of twelve years ago, when Black murdered thirteen people with a single curse.
Aden gawked after reading it aloud. "You mean to tell me this whole time this criminal has been a wizard?"
"Yeah, and he was a huge supporter of you-know-who so he really needs to get back to Azkaban," Romina leaned back on her chair, hoping to God they would and soon. Right with my parents.

The Sorting Ceremony was only interesting in that Arden was, of course, waiting to see where her younger sister would end up. While they waited for the first years to arrive, others at the table were interested in Romina's new look. Carolinha was the first to arrive at the table and immediately gushed that it was such a 'cute look!' and that she might get it done like that in the future.
Pansy arrived next and shoved a second year to the side in order to sit next to Carolinha. Her eyes blinked rapidly when she saw Romina across the table. "What the hell did you do to yourself?"
"She looks great, Parkinson," Arden set an elbow on the table, shooting Pansy a narrowed look.
Romina just shifted on her seat. She wasn't changing her 'look' to be 'prettier'. She was changing it to, well, for reasons that would remain with her.
"Don't you start with me, King!" Pansy snapped first and foremost.
"I'm only starting cos I knew you were about to be jealous and thus be a complete prick!"
"Me!?" Pansy's mouth opened to give what everyone else assumed would be a phenomenal snap.
"King, Parkinson, it is way too early in the year to listen to your arguments," Draco came by, Angel coming up on the other side of the table where his sister sat. "Give it a rest until tomorrow, won't you?"
"She started it," Pansy retorted. Arden mimicked her and smirked when the girl growled in frustration.
"Romina? Is that you?" Angel blinked once he'd taken a seat.
"Bloody hell," even Draco was surprised and shot Romina wide blue eyes. "I didn't recognize you, Oswell."
"Yeah, alright, I cut my hair," Romina raised her hands, sighing wearily. "Honestly, it's not that big a deal. People change their hair all the time. And I wouldn't talk, Draco, since you changed yours too."
"I'll give you points for that," Draco conceded and ran his hand through his hair which was no longer slicked back.
"You look nice, Romina," Angel complimented.
Romina gave her first warm smile in months. "Thank you, Angel."
Shortly after, Daphne arrived with Theodore and Blaise behind her. Daphne was all squeals for Romina's new look.
"Shut up! Shut up!" Arden exclaimed when the front doors opened up to let McGonagall in, leading the first years down the middle of the aisle.
"Who's your sister, Arden?" Daphne asked.
"The brunette there," Arden pointed to Lilah who was walking with big, brown eyes glued to the ceiling.
"Aw, she's cute," Carlinha chuckled at the young girl.
"I hope she gets to be in Slytherin," Arden put her hands together.
"I hope she doesn't," they heard Pansy mumble. Arden reached for the fork nearest to her but Romina silently took it away.
Because only Arden had someone in the Sorting, the minutes ticked by slowly. They couldn't be more grateful when Dumbledore finally rose from his seat to give his usual welcoming speech...though Arden kept distracting her friends with her disappointed grumbles.
"Honestly - Hufflepuff? The nerve of Lilah!"
"Shush!" Romina elbowed her to be quiet and listened attentively to Dumbledore introducing their newest Defence Against the Dark Arts professor.
Professor R.J. Lupin was a middle-aged man with peculiar scars all over his face. But what drew in a lot of the students' curiosity was the tattered clothes the man wore so casually. Still, he seemed warm and kind which was a great contrast to the previous two DADA professors.
"As some of you may know, Professor Kettleburn, our Care of Magical Creatures teacher for many years, has decided to retire in order to spend more time with his remaining limbs," Dumbledore continued on, "Fortunately, I'm delighted to announce that his place will be filled by none other than our own Rubeus Hagrid!"
"Wow, Hagrid's going to be our teacher now?" Arden beamed, now clapping fiercely.
"Oh no, doesn't he like really dangerous creatures?" Carolinha nearly cowered behind Pansy.
"That class is about to turn into a joke," Draco frowned away from the professors.
"You both need to give Hagrid a good chance," Romina warned him and Carolinha, and everyone else who seemed to be on the same plan.
"If Hagrid's the new professor, then he's the one who assigned us that big monster book?" Theodore shuddered. "I still haven't been able to open that thing. And it nearly bit my hand off!"
"Yeah, sort of did the same thing to me too," Arden admitted.
"Well, I bet Oswell's figured out a way to open it since she and the new professor are such good friends," Draco said and shot the girl in question a smirk.
Remembering the big, bitey book that had been assigned for Care of Magical creatures did make Romina fear the class a little more now. It wasn't the most conventional book to assign, at least not without proper directions about how to open it. "Oh, shut up!" she exclaimed, having nothing else to say.
Dumbledore issued silence amongst the Great Hall. He was looking far more serious now. "Finally, on a more disquieting note, Hogwarts - at the request of the Ministry of Magic - will, until further notice, play host to the Dementors of Azkaban. The Dementors will be stationed at the entrances to the grounds. While they are under strict orders not to enter the castle itself, you will on occasion see them as you go about your daily activities. Under no circumstances are you to approach them. It is not in the nature of a Dementor to be forgiving."
"What's a...dementor…?" Arden asked after the feast had started.
"You seriously don't know?" Angel raised an eyebrow at her, causing Arden to sheepishly shake her head.
"What can you expect - she's a muggle," Pansy commented when she reached over for a loaf of bread.
"Oswell, you put this entire table to shame," Draco paused his eating to look at the girl who, upon hearing his claim, gasped indignantly.
"How is that my fault?" she frowned.
"You're her neighbor, aren't you?"
"So?"
"So you're ignorant in and out of Hogwarts? That's good to know."
"I will hit you with my goblet if you talk to me like that again," Romina warned and reached for the goblet to make her case. Draco rolled his eyes at her. "And the reason I never said anything about that place is because dementors are foul creatures." She shifted her gaze to Arden who'd been listening to just about everything in order to get her answer. "Dementors are the creatures that guard Azkaban. They're supposed to be one of the most frivolous creatures known to wizard-kind. And it makes sense. Only creatures like Dementors are fit to keep the worst of human scum in check."
Arden was not expecting Romina to talk like that about humans, and neither was the rest of their friends. Romina ate in silence after that, only interjecting when somehow the conversation led to the fact that a dementor had found its way into the train coming to Hogwarts. Draco was gleefully telling them how Harry had fainted at the sight of one.
"No, hold on," Romina pointed at him, brows furrowed, "That's why the train stopped? What the fuck was a dementor doing inside the train!?"
"Does it matter?" Judging by the grin on Draco's face, it did not matter.
Romina groaned. "Great. Thank you for the useless help." She set eyes on the Gryffindor table where Harry ate with his friends. She wondered why a dementor would even get that close to him in the first place.

The following morning, Romina had gotten up earlier than usual. As she sat up, she looked around the dorm room and made sure everyone was still fast asleep before she pulled a picture from underneath her pillow. She grazed the photograph, her jaw tightening.
The faces staring up at her, moving along so cheerfully, made Romina's stomach revolt.
"Never," she told herself quietly. She aggressively folded the picture again and put it underneath her pillow.
She climbed out of bed and took her uniform with her into the bathroom where she quickly got changed. Now standing in front of the sink mirror, she touched her short hair, still unused to it. It's for the best. You can't look like her. You can't look like either of them.
She tucked the short curls behind her ear and pressed them down as best as she could. "It's for the best," she told herself and walked out of the bathroom.
Breakfast was only interesting in that they were going to receive their timetables by Snape in a bit and all third years were bumbling trying to see what their friends had chosen for their two newest classes.
"Obviously Care of Magical Creatures," Arden said with a winning smile. "And I liked the sound of Divination."
"I'm taking those exact two..." Pansy grumbled from her seat and drowned her waffles in syrup.
Arden glowered.
"I'm taking Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies," Romina announced, much to the various bemused stares of her friends.
"Oswell, didn't you grow up as a muggle?" Draco pretended to make calculations in the air with his fork. "So, if I'm doing my math right, shouldn't you be taking something else?"
"Maybe," Romina nodded, "But I also think that I can teach them some things too. Bet they don't even know what electricity is. Or Abba."
"Ele — what?"
"Point in case," Romina grinned. "Besides, I didn't really take to the other ones. At the very least, it'll be an easy class for me."
"This conversation is over." And, for effect, Draco scooted to the side away from her.
"Yeah, I'll see you later when you need help on something," Romina countered and picked at her oatmeal, rolling her eyes.
"Carol, what are you taking?" Daphne asked to change the topics.
Carolinha smiled, looking pretty content with her choices. "Divination and Ancient Runes."
"Aw, why didn't you take Care of Magical Creatures like the rest of us?"
"Because my sister's a wimp, why else?" Angel chuckled from his spot.
Carolinha shot him and the accompanying laughter of Draco, Blaise and Theodore glares.
"Carol, there's no shame in admitting creatures scare you," Arden told the girl afterwards, "And if you like your classes, tell the rest of the world to shut the fuck up."
After breakfast was over, Snape and the rest of the professors came out to hand each of their students their time tables. There was no question of where to go, and since Romina was the only one with Muggle Studies she walked on her own...or at least she thought it would be on her own.
"Rom? Hey, Romina! Wait up!" It was Harry who came rushing after her, for once Ron and Hermione no where in sight.
"Harry, I've got to go—"
Harry latched onto her arm to prevent her from escaping him. "What do you have?"
"Muggle Studies. You?"
"Divination. They're almost close—"
"Except yours is upstairs and mine is downstairs." Romina then began to walk at normal speed.
Harry continued staring at her as they walked side by side. "You...cut your hair…?"
"Yes, I did," Romina sighed but kept a straight gaze ahead. "Problem?"
"No, it looks nice, but...look, I've got to talk to you about something," Harry admitted. Actually, there were various things he wanted to talk about with her including her strange behavior but he needed to prioritize right now. "It's about Sirius Black." Romina abruptly stopped and her eyes widened. "You know about him?"
"Yeah, he's...well, he's everywhere isn't he? Kind of hard to miss him," Romina's eyes flickered spot to spot.
"Look," Harry stepped closer to her, his voice hushening, "Mr. Weasley warned me that Sirius Black may be after me but..." Romina was now looking at him, terrified, "...he might try to contact you."
"Me? Why!?" Romina almost whimpered.
"Well, he was in league with you-know-who and...well...it kinda appears he was close to...your parents…"
It almost looked like Romina was going to fall apart. Her face drained of color and she suddenly went into a rushed walk, leaving poor Harry to follow in a sprint. "I'm very sorry about that, Harry. It's like, it's like first year all over again and I can't do anything about it except apologize—"
"Rom!" Harry managed to stop Romina before she ran away altogether. "Hey, I'm not — I'm not telling you this so you can apologize. What Sirius Black and your parents did is their business, not yours. I'm only telling you so that you can have your guard up. He...he might try to—"
"What? Talk to me?" Romina might have gone a shade paler. She swallowed hard. "What the fuck would he be doing trying to talk to me?"
"I don't know," Harry said honestly, "Maybe he might think you think the same as your parents—"
"I don't," Romina gritted her teeth. "I have nothing in common with those people."
"I know," Harry said, growing concerned for Romina's demeanor. She seemed to put too much effort in her words, like she had to prove it to him and probably others. "Rom...are you okay? You've been acting strange all summer and then...you cut your hair. You've never cut your hair in the time I've known you. And...you just...look like there's something bothering you…" Harry put a comforting hand on her arm. "What is it?"
Romina felt her stomach churn with his touch. "Harry, trust me, I'm solving it. Right now, actually, as we speak."
"Yeah but trying to solve what, exactly?"
"Important things," Romina reassured. "Now I have to go, okay? We'll both be late if we keep talking."
"Alright…?" but before Harry even muttered his response, Romina had rushed away.

chapter one, chapter two
Tumblr media
“Remus you can’t make me go to school this year. Everyone there already hates me, and now that dad is all over the Daily Prophet, it’ll all just be worse,” you made your case to your godfather for the hundredth time this summer since your father had broken out of Azkaban.
“Y/n, you have friends who will have your back,” Remus said, he felt terrible, and he knew you were right, but he also knew how important it was for you to be at Hogwarts. “I’ll be there, and Dumbledore and McGonagall will make sure nothing happens.”
“Gryffindor’s aren’t as nice as you think they are,” you retorted. “And I do not have friends, that’s a joke. Everyone despises me, even some of my bloody professors hate me,” you were particularly referencing Snape who’d had it out for you since your name had been called for sorting your first year.
“That’s impossible, of course, you have friends, what about the twins?” he asked, and you ignored him. It was true that you were close with Fred and George, but you felt that virtually everyone other than those two Weasley’s hated you.
“I’m glad you, dad, and Uncle James were just so popular when you went to school, and everyone just bloody loved you, but it isn’t the same for me,” you said, finally deciding you were done with the argument and storming upstairs, you knew that Remus wasn’t going to budge about his decision, but you’d put up as much of a stink as you could, and being that September 1st was only a week away you figured your case had failed.
Remus let you storm out, you were fifteen, and he understood that you were going through a lot. Not only were you a teenager and dealing with all of the joys of puberty, but you were the daughter of an assumed murderer, which couldn’t make school much fun. He could only imagine the ways your peers used that to torment you. He couldn’t forget the minuscule things James and Sirius would agonize Severus Snape over when they had been in school. On top of all that, twelve years ago, your father had left you on Remus’ doorstep with a note on your forehead that read:
‘Peter rated out James and Lily, I’m going to Godrics Hollow, if anything happens, take care of Y/n, she doesn’t have anyone else.’
He was right, your mother had died at the hands of Lucius Malfoy before your first birthday, and her parents had died long ago, Sirius didn’t want you anywhere near his parents, neither Sirius nor your mother had living siblings, and Remus was your only named Godparent. You grew up with both of your parents, and all of your family ripped away from you. You had been left only with good memories of the man the world was trying to tell you was evil and a note you had used as evidence of his innocence.
Despite everything, Remus didn’t mind having you around in the least, you were a carbon copy of your parents, just an absolute firecracker, and he loved you just as much as your parents had. While he anticipated his situation to be a problem it wasn’t, as whenever necessary, Molly Weasley would take you in for however long Remus needed. However, your third year, you took a page out of your father’s book, and while at school, you learned how to become an animagus on your own, so that when you returned home that summer, you were able to stay with your godfather though all of his sessions, and help. Remus found as you grew up that you took care of him as much as he took care of you, he was eternally grateful to have you in his life. Now, with everything going on in your life and all the trauma you had ensued, he couldn’t blame you for lashing out. He just wished he could be of more help.
You didn’t argue with Remus about going to school again, and on August 31st, you begrudgingly packed up your trunk in anticipation of your journey to Hogwarts. You and Remus lived in a house you had inherited from your mother in Burford, West Oxfordshire, it was far enough outside town to be safe for Remus, and it was protected with old magic as it had been in your family for centuries. Being that it’s only over an hour-long drive to London, Remus usually drove you to King’s Cross, but since he was going with you to Hogwarts this year, you both took an early train to London, arriving in perfect time to catch the Hogwarts Express.
When you boarded the train, you split ways with Remus as you were due in the prefect compartment so that you could do your rounds. Prefect duty was another thing you were dreading this year, you were sure that no one would be willing to listen to you considering your situation, and you genuinely had no clue why Professor McGonagall wanted you as a prefect anyways.
During your round, you found that your assumptions were correct, no one would listen to you, and you only found yourself getting angry every time you noticed a copy of the Daily Prophet with your father’s mugshot on the cover. He hadn’t aided in the murder of your Uncle James and Aunt Lily, he hadn’t a reason to, James had been his best friend. Not only that, but nobody knew half the story you and Remus knew, but of course, no one wanted to listen to you, and the only evidence you had was the note he had left on your forehead, which was, of course, deemed unreliable. You were sure Peter was out there somewhere, and you were optimistic that if you could find him, you would be able to clear your father’s name, but you had no clue where you could start.
You past by the compartment Harry, Ron, and Hermione frequented to find your godfather sleeping in the corner, that man did love his naps, although you were curious why they had chosen to sit in a compartment with a sleeping professor in it, but you brushed it off. The three had a knack for making odd decisions that never failed to land them into trouble of some sort.
You continued walking down the corridor, keeping to yourself, not finding anyone to be breaking any severe rules. You had decided that as a prefect, your policy would be that if it wasn’t happening in front of you, you wouldn’t report it. After experiencing Percy Weasley’s tyrannical rain, the last thing you wanted was to subject other students to such tyranny. You remained in your thoughts till you passed by Draco Malfoy’s compartment, where the door was wide open.
“Oi! Black!” You heard Malfoy yell as you approached his compartment. “Surprised, they let you come this year considering your murderer father is loose.”
You elected to ignore him and continue walking, biting back the insults you wanted so badly to throw back.
“Or I guess you’re nothing like your father, more the chicken type like your pathetic moth-”
You swung around, resisting the urge the pull your wand out and land a nasty jinx on the prick, “You’re one to speak Malfoy, considering your father is a cowardly murderer who hides behind money and lies. Now, if you want to lose another twenty points from Slytherin before we even arrive at Hogwarts, I suggest you keep running your mouth,” you said without breaking a sweat, silence from Malfoy and his posse following. “I thought so,” you said before continuing on your round.
You made it to the end of the train and turned around to do your final walkthrough you intended to stop into the section Remus was in and see if he had awoken. As you walked down the corridor, you noted the cold fog that rolled alongside the train, the ride to Hogwarts was rarely this cold. As you approached the compartment door, the train came to a screeching halt, and you were thrown up against the door, startling its occupants. You hurried to your feet and entered as Harry Potter opened the door.
“What’s going on?” Ron Weasley asked. You stood back against the door as the lights in the train flickered out.
“I know just as much as you do,” you said, trying your best to push aside any fear.
From his seat, Harry was giving you a weird look. Meanwhile, Ron pressed himself against the window that had begun frosting.
“Ouch, Ron, that was my foot,” Hermione complained.
Ron ignored his clumsiness, concerned with whatever he saw outside the train, “There’s something moving out there.”
With that, the lights turned on and then off again, the train rocking and ice encapsulating the carriage. No longer trusting your own legs, you rushed to take a seat on the bench Harry and Remus were on, though you kept your distance, still grimly aware of the rumours that had been flying around the train regarding your father. Although, your thoughts were stopped as the train halted again, and your breath turned to ice.
“Bloody hell! What’s happening?” Ron cried.
All of your heads turned to the carriage’s door as a lanky robed creature with a hand like that of a skeleton’s slowly eased opened the door. As it approached, you could feel nothing but true sadness echo through your body and mind. It was a coldness you felt would never leave you. The thing you recognized as a dementor entered, looming off of the ground and ignoring everything but you and Harry. The dementor paused as if unsure of which one of you was worth its time. Discerning what was happening and uncertain of what else to do, you rose to your feet to act as a barrier between Harry and the dementor. As a result of your action, and your misery now clear to the creature, it started to feed off of you. At some point, you saw a blast of bright light, but the second it and the dementor disappeared, your fainted, falling to the floor.
“Y/n, Harry?” you heard Hermione’s voice as your eyes flickered open. “Professor are they going to be alright?”
You rose to a seated position to find yourself lying on the floor, Harry on the bench above you, Ron crunched in his corner, a very concerned Hermione Granger hovering over you, and Remus ready with a bit of chocolate as always.
“Here, eat this, it’ll help,” he said as he offered you and Harry the chocolate which you graciously took.
“What was that thing that came?” Harry asked.
“It was a dementor, one of the guards of Azkaban,” He explained to Harry before looking at you, “It’s gone now,” he assured before turning back to Harry to finish answering his question. “It was searching the train for Sirius Black.”
You swallowed your bite of the chocolate quite loudly, uncomfortable with the information at hand.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to have a little word with the driver,” Remus rose, leaving the chocolate bar with you. “Eat, you’ll feel better.” Remus assured Harry before leaving and heading to the front of the train.
You broke the chocolate bar in half and gave it to Harry, “It does help.”
“Harry fainted just after you did,” Hermione explained. You had quickly noticed before fainting that the dementor didn’t affect Ron or Hermione half as much as it had you and Harry.
“What exactly happened?” Harry asked as he took a bite of the chocolate.
“Well, after Y/n fainted, you went rigid, we thought you were having- well a fit or something,” Ron explained.
“Dementors feed on feelings of depression and despair,” you explained.
“Is that why-”
“You felt like you could never be happy again?” you finished Ron’s thought and nodded. “Exactly.”
“But someone was screaming,” Harry said, the memory alive in his eyes. “A woman.”
“No one was screaming, Harry,” said Hermione.
“I heard screaming too,” you said, looking over at him. A silence settled over the carriage once more, causing the reality of your parentage to come crashing over you yet again. You shakily rose to your feet, not exactly well just yet. “I should be going- prefect, duty- let me know if you need anything else.” And before anyone could protest, you were out of the compartment and walking back down the train corridor.
Before you could very much think about it, you entered Fred and George’s compartment, quite unsure of where else you might have been welcome.
“Y/n!” The twins chimed when you entered.
“Sit,” Fred started
“Yeah,” George said.
“We’ve got a question for you,” they finished together.
“A question, for me? Now, what would that be?” You asked as you squeezed onto the bench in between the two despite the empty one just across from you. Although, you assumed Lee Jordan had been sitting there and was just off to use the loo as his bag was up above that spot.
“We’ll show you, but you’ve got to promise us you won’t show anybody,” George said as he pulled something out of his pocket.
“Anybody,” Fred echoed.
“I won’t show anybody, promise,” You spoke in the same playfully serious tone as the twins while George placed a blank piece of folded parchment onto your lap.
Fred placed the tip of his wand onto the map but caught your eye and held eye contact with you as he said, “I solemnly swear I am up to no good,” winking at you as he finished.
Before you maroon lines and lettering unfurled, curling onto the parchment.
‘The Marauders Map’
A smile found its way onto your face as you realized what was before you. Your eyes lighting up as they followed the script that started to write out names you recognized instantly.
‘Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot & Prongs are proud to present,’
Your smile widened, you knew exactly what this was. Remus had told you plenty of stories of his and your fathers’ school antics, and the Marauders Map was often mentioned.
“Now, Black,” said George.
“That smile seems to say something,” said Fred.
“We’ve got a feeling,” they continued in unison. “That you know who created this masterpiece.”
You looked up at the two of them, your smile not at all lost. “What’s it to you?” you asked. Of course, you knew, but you loved messing around with them.
“Pure curiosity,” Fred smirked.
“Even if I do know who Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs are, why should I tell you two?” You asked.
“Because you looove Fred,” George said, and you shot him a glare that easily could have killed him right where he sat. “Because we’re your favorite people at Hogwarts?” He said, quick to edit his sentence.
“Alright, but I want you to let me in on all of your pranks this year. Think about the benefits of having a prefect on your side,” you said, then smoothly leaning forward to allow the twins to deliberate in peace. They caught on in a matter of seconds.
“She’s not wrong,” started Fred, and he rested back against the seat.
“And she’s quite smart,” continued George, following his twin.
“And she has information we want.”
“And you do love her,” George teased his twin.
“And we can trust her,” Fred added in an attempt to ignore George’s jab at his long-standing crush.
“Alright then,” the twins said in harmony, and you all resumed your previous positions. “Who is it?” They asked you.
“Peter Pettigrew,” you started. “Remus Lupin, James Potter,” they breathed in, obviously not having expected to hear the name of Harry’s dad. “And Sirius Black.” You said, your chest swelling with pride.
“Your dad!” started Fred excitedly
“Was a marauder?” They asked at once, and you nodded.
“Well, that makes you pranking royalty,” George said and mocked a bow.
“I would say it does, now I am excited to be working with you two gentlemen this year.”
“We are honored to be in your presence, oh Queen of the Pranks,” Fred got off of his seat and turned to give you a proper bow, prompting another giggle from you, which you didn’t notice Fred blush bright red.
“Boys we have some work to do,” you said, offering your hand as you had seen Queens do before to Fred. He took your hand and gently placed a kiss on it, this time causing a soft blush to rise to your cheeks.
Your train ride continued to be full of playful banter between the four of you, the boys full of questions about your dad’s time at Hogwarts, and you were excited to answer them as best you could. Although in the end, you couldn’t help but be entirely grateful that Fred and George hadn’t written you off along with the rest of the school, even more thankful that they hadn’t also written off your dad. When you arrived at the school, you shared a carriage with the twins, Lee Jordan, and Angelina Johnson, none of whom seemed bothered by your presence. It appeared for the moment that this year wouldn’t be too bad. You expected to resume your spot on the quidditch team as a chaser along with those before you, and the pranks you had already begun planning with the twins occupied your mind.
“Welcome! Welcome to another year at Hogwarts!” Dumbledore caught the school’s attention as he assumed his place at the post at the top of the hall. “I have a few things to say before we become befuddled by our excellent feast. First, I’m pleased to welcome Professor R. J. Lupin, who has kindly consented to fill the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Good luck, you, Professor.”
At this, the twins turned their eyes from Dumbledore to you, clearly asking if that was the Lupin you had said to be Moony of the Marauders, to which you confirmed with one nod.
“Wicked,” they said in unison, and you winked at them.
“As some of you may know, Professor Kettleburn, our Care of Magical Creatures teacher for many years, has decided to retire in order to spend more time with his remaining limbs. Fortunately, I’m delighted to announce that his place will be taken by none other than our own Rubeus Hagrid!”
You, along with few others who knew and appreciated Hagrid, applauded at this news as Hagrid rose from his seat and jovially waved at the school, although he nearly toppled the staff table, sending goblets over the side of the table.
“Finally, on a more disquieting note, at the request of the Ministry of Magic Hogwarts will, until further notice, play host to the Dementors of Azkaban. Now, whilst I’ve been assured until such a time as Sirius Black is captured.”
Whispers filled the Great Hall as you swallowed the nerves that rose in your throat as best you could
“Well we’ve got his daughter right over there. Why don’t we just give ’em her! She’s probably a murderer herself!” You heard a boy from the Slytherin table yell quite violently. His idea was supported by a few cheers from those around him and a girl who was sitting next to him following up.
“Yeah, how are we supposed to know she isn’t scheming to sneak in her murderous father to kill us all!” The girl yelled, and you could only feel yourself sinking into the bench as every Hogwarts student’s eyes were now on you.
“Oi! Pucey, watch it, or I’ll hex your ear off!” George quickly stood and yelled in your defense.
“That! Is quite enough!” Dumbledore boomed. “I will not have Miss Black questioned or judged for her being here. Anyone who wishes to contest this may bring it up directly with me.”
With that, Dumbledore continued on with his speech in particular regard to the presence of the dementors, but his words respecting you did nothing to ease the anxiety boiling in the pit of your stomach. At this point, you were wondering why you hadn’t followed in your mum’s steps and gone to Beauxbatons.
“Are you alright?” Fred asked, noting the color that had drained from your face.
“I’m fine,” you muttered.
Fred could tell you weren’t fine, and why should you be? He could feel the hostile looks coming from every corner of the room, some even coming from the professor’s table. He wanted to help in any way he could, and he knew that the most he could do is have your back for the time being.
When Dumbledore finally called this year’s feast to an end, you rose to your feet as Percy had asked you and Robert Greene, the other fifth year Gryffindor prefect, to walk the first years back to the common room.
You rose to your feet, “Your darling brother has decided I’ll be escorting the first years back to the common room, so I’ll see you back there after?” You honestly did not want to be left alone tonight and was hoping to spend more time with the twins.
“We’ll find a good spot by the fire,” George said, and you smiled at him, grateful.
You left and rounded up the first years, some of whom had no clue who you were and some who were clearly afraid of you and clung to the front of the line where Percy and Robert were. But you brushed it off. It wasn’t half as bad as Pucey calling you a murderer in front of the entire school. The walk didn’t last long, and Percy capitalized the whole thing to flaunt his power over the eleven-year-olds allowing you to remain silent and with your thoughts. You split when you made it to the common room, sure that Percy was so wrapped up in his spiel that he wouldn’t miss you.
“Black!” George wailed. “We’ve missed you dearly.”
“How could you dare to leave us for so long?” Fred cried, and you giggled at their antics, sitting on the couch next to Fred.
“I’m very, incredibly, sorry for the time I have spent away but do know that you were each on my heart and in my thoughts the entire time we were apart,” you joined in, causing Fred to laugh, which brought a shade of pink to your cheeks, recently you found how his laugh made the butterflies in your stomach ruffle their wings.
“Anyone else wanna know why Dumbledore’s let a murderer’s daughter live in our dorm?” you heard Seamus Finnigan say loudly enough for the entire common room to hear. “It makes me feel unsafe I don’t know about you.”
“Yeah if he comes to Hogwarts, this’ll be the first place he comes.”
You sharply rose to your feet and turned to face Finnigan, “Actually you’re right Finnigan, I’ve been in contact with my dad, who has been in Azkaban my entire life, planning to come to a school and kill a bunch of children. I am so so bummed you’ve found out my plan. So everyone keeps an eye open while you’re sleeping. I might just appear over your bed in the middle of the night, ready to murder you.”
As you were speaking, Fred and George stood to defend you. Meanwhile, Seamus’s face fell white with fear at your words.
“Anyways aren’t you meant to be a Gryffindor, Finnigan, aren’t you meant to be brave? Because speaking behind people’s backs is about the most cowardly thing someone can do,” you said, anger rising in you. Although, you did not notice Professor McGonagall enter as you were talking.
“She deserves to be here just as much as the rest of you,” Fred boomed to the now silent common room.
“Good evening, everyone,” McGonagall cut in. “I was planning to come up tonight to ensure that Miss Black was being respected as a peer and as a prefect although that clearly hasn’t happened,” she said, shooting a look at Seamus Finnigan. “As she just said, it is expected that you as Gryffindors conduct yourselves with bravery and with understanding for your peers. Should any of you feel that you do not have to listen to or that you are above Y/n because of her parentage, you can come to me for a detention. I will not permit any intolerance of her presence. Is that understood?”
A few people started slowly nodding, causing the rest of your housemates to nod in understanding of what Professor McGonagall had to say.
“Good, now I will be taking ten points from our house for Mr. Finnigan’s comments,” a groan fell over the room, “You shall also be meeting me for detention in my office tomorrow night at seven. However, ten points to Miss Black and ten points to Mr. Weasley for standing up for oneself and for one’s friends.” With that, Professor McGonagall left, leaving the Gryffindors in silence.
“Go about your nights,” Percy called to the house, and everyone dispersed, although you heard the drama start to circulate, no matter what McGonagall said, you knew that you would never escape the judgement of your peers.
“Merlin, and classes haven’t even started yet,” you huffed as you collapsed back onto the couch next to Fred.
“We’ve got your back, Y/n,” Fred said as he put a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“Promise,” you implored.
“Promise,” he assured.

___________________________________________
It's has been 14 years since I've seen my father Sirius Black. Yes I have known all about my father and the night he was arrested for false claims. Dumbledore knew my father was innocent but he didn't lift a finger to help him. Maybe my life would have different maybe I would be with a loving family environment instead of my drunk of mother who spouts off claiming my father had abandoned us simply because of me. But I know different because I was born with an eidetic memory. My father saying he would be right back on for albus Dumbledore and snevilous Snape to come to our door and cast charms on my mother without fail each and every month. I of course act oblivious to what's going showing nothing mentally and emotionally as well as physically. That's my backstory let's get on the rest of the it.
It's a new year and the same story except I see the daily prophet showing my dad has escaped from askaban. I internally smile and get ready to go the train. Once I am ready I carry my trunk and stuff down to the door and my mother walks up to me and for the first time in a long time she gave me a hug. "I am sorry for how I acted towards you" "it's fine mum" she grabs my shoulders and looks me dead in the eyes and says "stay away from albus and snap, I finally found my lady of black and thanks to walbura the things done to my head and body has been reversed." "I will mom and I know all about it, I also have my heiress ring on and believe it or not I have working on bringing them down " she smirks "that's my girl and no matter what anyone tells you your father is a good man" I let out a chuckle " mum I know that and so does Harry we aren't snakes in a lion's den for nothing " she laughs " my sweet girl you are full of many surprises and I forgot, I am going to be a teacher at your school so I'll be going with you." I nod and we then apperate to the platform and I go off to see Harry and the Herminoie and begrudgingly Ron, "I BET HE HAS THE UGLY RAT SCABBERS" I think. I find them and Ron is complaining about the damned thing. I walk in and " that cat ate scabbers-" "the parties arrived" I cut Ron off and the two look so relived and I sit next to harry and I see a past out man in our compartment. "So how was everyone's summer" "I have already read half of the books for this year" "the usual" come from Harry and herminone " mine was good until that ugly cat tried ate scabbers" Ron whine " Really crooks did that" I gasp out and Minny and Harry stifle laughs because they know what I'm gonna say. Ron dumbly nods as looks at Minny like someone gets it and I look at Minny and crooks " remind me to give him some sort on treat for doing a great service " Ron looks mad nothing unusal. Crooks hops in my laps and purrs.
Time skip
We are close to the castle when I train stops and I already know what's going to happen based on the news and rumors so I latch the door and looks Minny and Harry and nod. They both know dumbles and snap aren't the good guys neither is the Voldemort. The glass freezes up and the sleeping man shifts subtle and Ron of course is crying as usual. The door unlatches and slowly slides open and the dementor lurks in the door and tries to get close to Harry and I look at the dementors mouth. When the man say expecto patroum. I am on the edge of passing out but thankfully I don't and the man that I know is Remus 'Moony' Lupin or Uncle Moony & Rem hands me chocolate. "Eat it will make you feel better" he stands and walks over to the door "thanks Rem" my voice is hoarse and at this point Ron is past out and he is a deep deep sleeper. Remus' head snaps over to look at me "you remember me" I nod not really having the energy. We are in the great Hall when draco starts trying to get my attention. " pst pst is it true you fainted black" to others it would look like he was trying to mock me but to us excluding Ron, we could see the concern hidden behind the mock amusement. Still feeling rather drained "no Malfoy I didn't pass out" I manage to sigh out and he fakes irrigation and turns around. I turned back around and started eating. Dumbledore starts talking I kinda tune it out, then he mentions my name "miss black you will go to madam pomfrey to see if you are alright" after the feast Harry helps me go to pomfrey incase I faint. "So what are we gonna do about Sirius" he whispered. "We'll wait for the right moment and not talk about this when a certain dungeon bat will hear."
I was given a clean bill of health and we make our way to the common room. The fat lady looks up and "Mr. Potter & Miss. Black" we say "yes" and she opens up but before " this is just because you to were in the infirmary understood". Percy was waiting for us in the common room "are you all good y/n" I nod "good and as head boy it is my duty to tell you two the password is fortuna major" "thanks Percy" "he then goes up to his dorm and me and Harry split ways.
Over the next several months
Me and Harry have been spending time with Remus. We had given him the marauders map and he had seen the fugly Pettigrew was still alive and there was doubt planted in his mind about dumbles.
The four of us were walking near the whomping willow when Ron gets dragged in and we follow after him and of course the greasy bat follows. Ron is freaking out and my dad comes out. I gasp in shock and in horror. Remus comes and it's obvious that it was fake and the sneviles and Harry knocks him out. Dad snatches the rat from Ron and forces Peter to de shift, Ron being the useless oaf he is pass out and the two of us have the wand at the ready. Peter tries to escape but dad & Rem push him back and he pleads with us to spare him. Dad tries to explain but me & Harry cut him off saying we know and inform them I have plan but it would have to wait to be discussed. "Now let's get out of here" I temporarly stun Peter and I put a sleep spell on Ron and Snape so they don't wake up and intervene. I take the spell of Peter. "Now let's get out of here let's just leave Ron and Snape in here for now Harry give Minny her wand and Rem give Harry his wand accio Rem's wand and Sirius' wand" I make a fake one and spell it back to the location of the original. Now I need Rem and Minny to guard rat man over there let's get out of here". We get outside and knock out Peter put some anti-animagus binds on him. I look up and see the full moon and curse. Rem starts to transform and I pull my dad away from him and Harry tucks Minny behind him. I remember one time I had seen Remus transform and he never hurt me. By the time he finished I knew what I had to do. Moony howls and turns to us. I slowly inch forward and bow slightly like you would with a hippogriff. " hey moony remember me it's cub y/n, you remember the small child that one full moon right it's me" I spoke softly and just barely bar my neck at moony like I had when I was younger. Moony tilts his head, sniffs the air and slowly pads over to me and sniff my head like he did when I younger. I can feel the tension behind me but don't acknowledge it in fear moony would too. I look up and see he had recognized me. " moony looks over my shoulder and back at me with a tilt head like explain little miss " moony behind me is padfoot and your other cub Harry and our friend Minny" he looks at Sirius and he recognized the barely there scent and nodded, he looks over in peters and snarls "hey hey moony calm down calm down" he looks back at me in anger but also pride "moony we need him alive ok also Remus would want this ok" he calms down " I know it's a full moon ok so I want you to enjoy yourself in forest but don't hurt yourself ok please" moony nods and runs off in the forest I stay where I am until I can't see him and turn around. "What the bloody hell was that" "ok when I was younger I Snook out and followed Remus when I saw him leave and basically what you all saw is kinda what happened. " it started to get cold and I turned around saw dementors so I decided to be sassy "great your here but your not taking my dad. " "expecto patroum" and I also sent a message to miss. Bones. She popped on over and saw Peter bound up. "W-what" " ok my dad never got a trial was sent straight to askaban and he is a lord and as you can peter is alive how quickly can we arrange a trial for him." "Wow such fast work and tomorrow and is there anything else I should know" "yes he is a rat animagus" she levitated him and turned to Sirius and motioned for him to come on and he hesitated so I interjected "can you swear on your magic that you will get him a trial" she agreed and he went with her. I went back into the tree and got Ron and Snape put invisible spells over them and us and walked back to the castle put Ron in bed and snape in his classroom. I made both did not remember anything and magiced another rat for ron.
The next we were allowed to go to the trial.
My dad was in the center and he agreed to the truth potion and was free of charges and given compensation then my mother came to court got custody of Harry and minny. Peter's trial was up next he got sentenced to the dementors kiss right away.
My dad got healed up and so did Harry and by that the horcux was dealt with. It's is nice to be reunited with my family again.

MASTERLIST☁️
Summary: When Draco has completely pushed himself away from you, things take a dark turn especially when your best friend, Harry Potter casts a sectumsempra spell on him.
Warning: angst and fluff☁️
Timeline: set during the half blood prince
I sat in my bed reading my favourite book while the moon shone brightly and rain poured down heavily. It had been raining all day however i didn’t mind. I loved everything about the rain and considered it as relaxing while I would open up a book and get lost into my own imagination.
It was 10.30pm, when I had read nearly half of the book that was in my hands but I couldn’t seem to finish it. My mind was pondering somewhere else, preventing me from completely finishing the book. What seemed to bother me was Draco.
He had promised that he would write to me during the summer break whenever he could but he never wrote to me once. I sent him a few letters then and there but I still didn’t earn a reply back. I was mainly worried about him. I wouldn’t stop sending him letters until I made sure he was completely fine but then I thought to myself, ‘what if he doesn’t want to write to me? What if he thinks I’m being clingy?’ So I eventually stopped from doing so.
There wasn’t much time left anyways. One more week and we would be going back to Hogwarts for our 6th year and how I yearned to see Draco badly than ever.
One week had gone by and there I was making my way to platform 9 and 3/4. A bunch of 1st years were bidding their goodbyes to their parents while the others boarded the train.
When I got inside my compartment, i was greeted by the golden trio. “Oh Merlin y/n, you haven’t been writing to us all winter,” groaned Hermione while she gave me a warm hug while Ron popped my suitcase onto the upper tier. I turned to face Harry, embracing him while he cradled me ever so slightly.
“You said you would write to all of us, what happened to that,” questioned Ron making his way towards me for a warm, welcoming hug. I lowered my gaze in disappointment and shame, looking at the floor.
“It’s Malfoy isn’t it?” Spat Harry furiously while he clenched his fists tight. My hand travelled to his bicep lightly gripping on it.
“Yes..but no,” I sighed, deeply exhaling while both Hermione and Ron cocked their heads in confusion.”He hasn’t been writing to me all summer...and I’m afraid that something’s wrong with him,” I blurted out quickly while I tried to not meet Harry’s gaze as my eyes filled with tears blurring my vision.
“I just knew he would do something like that, I warned you-,” Harry started venting before I cut him off.
“Harry please.. that’s not important right now. What’s important is Draco,” I muttered in defense of my boyfriend.
The whole train ride was awkward and the tension could have most definitely been cut with a knife. No one dared to say a word until we reached Hogwarts. Harry had glanced at me a couple of times and somewhere deep down I knew he only wanted what was best for me, and I couldn’t have appreciated it anymore but anyone who would say a word against Draco would have to fight me first.
In honour of all the students, a feast was held in the great hall. We all took our positions as we sat huddled together with our other fellow house members. I sat besides Harry while Ron and Hermione took their places opposite us. Purposely, I took my seat where I sat just so I could get to see Draco Malfoy.
While Dumbledore started his welcome back speech, I glanced at the platinum haired boy from across the hall as a look of depression smeared across his face. He looked different. His skin had turned paler than it already was and the spark that was usually in his eyes had faded away. I was becoming really concerned about Draco and seeing him look so devastated made my heart shatter into millions of tiny pieces.
When the feast had started, I had completely lost my appetite. Seeing my boyfriend look absolutely weak and mundane made me non- famished. My heart ached for him. I just wanted to be there for him assuring him that whatever he was going through I would be there for him no matter what. But what if I wasn’t? What if whatever that was causing his depression made me want to stay away from him? But I wouldn’t let that happen. No matter what.
A week had already flew by in a instant blur. I tried everything I could to get Draco to start opening up to me but nothing worked. He was constantly ignoring me as if I didn’t exist and as the days went by his depression seemed to get worser and since he kept neglecting me I started to feel heavily inferior.
It was way past curfew when I sat near my desk writing a letter addressed to Draco. My hands started trembling as I used my quill to write. Tears were spilling down my cheeks onto the piece of paper, staining it and causing the splodges of tears to become soggy and transparent.
To my beloved Draco,
I know that you don’t want anything to do with me right now but I just need you to know that I love and care about you and will continue to do so until the day I die. Whatever it is your going through I’ll always be with you no matter the circumstances but please don’t distance yourself away from me like this.
Yours, y/l/n
Sealing the envelope, I handed my ptilopsis owl, named Elvis, the letter that was in my hands a second ago. He took the object between its beak and flew out of the open glass stained windows, soaring high into the blanket of darkness, on its way to deliver the message to Malfoy.
The next day, I hoped that I had gotten a response from Draco however I was wrong. I never got a reply back. I wanted to help him overcome whatever it was but if he wasn’t going to cooperate with me then I couldn’t do anything to comfort him during this dark time.
Weeks started to pass by and I was becoming closer to Harry. It was no secret that me and Draco weren’t together. Or that’s what others thought as they never saw the two of us together again. And let’s say that’s what I also thought.
Harry and me became more than best friends. It was more like a situationship since we weren’t dating but we were closer than ever. It wasn’t until one evening Hermione word-vomited Harry’s secret to me.
“If only you knew about Harry,” she mumbled under her breathe when I started teasing her about Ronald.
“What did you say?” I questioned curiously while I pushed my silky hair behind me.
“It’s nothing, besides we should get going,” she replied defensively as she played with the hem of robe.
“No... what did you say about Harry? “ I asked eagerly while I stopped walking, completely facing the brunette girl in front of me. She awkwardly shifted her feet while she smoothed the fabric of her robe trying to avoid any eye contact. I gave her a slight nudge so she could snap out of it.
“He’s in love with you,”. That was it. Those were her words.
The phrase that came out of her mouth made me shudder. He couldn’t love me because I didn’t want him too.
Typically, many Gryffindors thought that I was simply using Harry, trying to make up for the loss of no longer being with Draco but that wasn’t the case. Harry was always there for me, a shoulder to cry on, someone to make me laugh when I was feeling down as ever but he could never replace Draco. No matter how hard I tried to move on from my former lover, nothing seemed to work. Thinking to myself that maybe Harry could fill in the missing gaps, the extra pieces to a lost puzzle, a way for me to escape my completely distorted imagination but I was wrong. No matter how much Harry loved me I assured myself that he would soon get over it, because he needed to. He had to.
Sitting in the great hall, I tried to sit as far as I could from Harry but he would scoot up closer towards me. Frequently asking me if I was okay or if I needed anything making sure I was completely fine, but how could I be ‘okay’ if I was stuck between my true love and someone I considered as my best friend. No no, I wasn’t stuck. I was certain about what I wanted. I wanted Draco. But things between the two of us came crumbling down.
Then there was Potter, someone who stuck by me when Draco made me feel inferior but how selfish was it of me too view everything from my perspective. Had I once put myself into Malfoy’s shoes and tried figuring out what demons he was battling with, that had caused him to be in such a state. But the issue was that I did. I did try my hardest to find out what was happening with him. What was going on inside his brain. But nothing helped.
I got up from my seat as the tension between me and Harry rised. I needed to honestly give myself a break from whatever was happening. Before I could leave, someone gripped my wrist gently. Turning myself around, I noticed Harry’s fingers wrapped around my wrist holding me back from leaving. It wasn’t until I noticed my eyes were beginning to tear up. I couldn’t face him. I couldn’t look him in the eye and disappoint him when he immensely cared for me. I wanted to give him the same passion back but my heart belonged to Draco and only him.
Suddenly, he hastily removed his hand from my wrist causing me to turn around, my back now facing him. There stood Draco. He shifted on his feet before he went striding out of the hall.
Harry started chasing after him and I intended to do so until Hermione pulled me back down onto the seat next to her.
“Y/n-“ was all she murmured before I wriggled out of her grasp running as quick as I could, heading out of the massive, substantial doors.
Luckily, I managed to hear the echoes of someone running down the hall way into the boys bathroom. The more swiftly I ran, the louder the clattering of the footsteps became audible.
I barged into the bathroom while I let out a blood curdling scream. Running to Draco who laid lifelessly groaning in pain in a puddle of murky blood infused water, i kneeled beside him resting his head onto my lap as I moved his platinum blonde hair out of his gashed face.
He was heavily injured as he had deep cuts carved all over his body. He whimpered in pain, while tears spilled out from the corner of his half shut eyes.
A piercing sensation depleted through my body, while my tears came streaming down my face, tasting the saltiness of my tear drops that lingered onto my quivering lips.
“Draco-“ I whispered while I swallowed the thick lump at the back of my throat while my face scrunched up in sorrow.
Standing from across the bathroom was Harry. His wand gripped tightly in his hand as I looked over my shoulder not fully turning. From the corner of my eye, I could still see the expression of guilt smeared across his face before he left in silence.
“SOMEBODY HELP!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, my shrieking voice echoing. My trembling fingers slowly glided across Draco’s cheek, wiping all of his tears away as he tried his best to stay awake, fluttering his wet eyelashes every now and then. My face hovered over his as he stared at me through his blurry vision trying to fight back his tears.
“Go get ... snape,” he said trying to muster all the courage he could to try and get up.“I can’t leave you here like that!” I sobbed through gritted teeth while my face flustered from all the heat. “Y/n... I’m sorry- I really am,” he apologised while the end of his lips curved into a frown and he desperately tried to hold back his tears.
Feeling a pang of pain in my chest from the sincerity of his words, I started sulking harder than before while he bought his hand up to my face wiping my tears. “Please don’t cry,” he mumbled while he caught his bottom lip between his teeth. Seeing the pain that he was going through, i wiped my face with the sleeves of my robe, smudging my mascara even more. I was a complete train wreck at this point as I squeezed his hand.
“Y/n... do you know- how much I love you?” The end of his sentence finishing of like a diminuendo. I cradled him slightly, letting out a small giggle while I plastered a small smile across my face.
It was the first time Draco had ever confessed his love for me and I couldn’t have been more elated. My smile then turned into a fine line as I pursed my lips and knitted my brows. “You don’t have to say... it back,” he murmured as his dark blue eyes softened.
“I love you too... and I really mean it. Draco your my everything,” I said confidently, exhaling deeply as I got those three words of my chest. Our eyes met and I found myself dipping low as my lips met his. I kissed him passionately as if it was the last time I’d ever kiss him again. I kissed him like there was no tomorrow. It felt like a whole moment of bliss until he started whincing in pain. I pulled back as I noticed his hands holding onto his side. Removing his head from my lap I scrambled to my feet heading for the door. “I’ll be back...just stay put!” I yelled back to him as I went to go and find Snape.
“Someone casted a sectumsempra spell on Mr. Malfoy, Miss . Y/l/n do you know who has done this to him?” He asked in his lifeless tone but more furious than ever.“It was Potter... he chased me here and casted the spell on me. He’s trying to kill me!,” interrupted Draco once Severus had healed him completely. “I’ll be dealing with him,” bellowed Snape as he stormed out of the bathroom, the back of his robe flaring.
“Are you okay Draco?” I questioned as I looked up to him. “Better than before,” he responded before taking his hand into mine.“Draco we need to talk,” the tone of my voice more mature than ever. He simply nodded while we walked to the slytherin common room.
Since no one was there, we sat in front of the warm, blazing fire holding one another as a blanket draped the two of us. One of his hands made its way into my hair, gently stroking it as my head leaned against his chest. “Why were you ignoring me all this time?” I interrogated as I pulled away from him tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
The same depressing look painted across his face. His eyes had turned a dark grey as he glanced at me before he started playing with the silver ring that was on his finger. I placed my hand on his arm giving him a reassuring look.
He started to roll up one of his sleeves as if something was plastered across the surface of his skin.
His wrist was branded with the signature dark mark and a tear drop glided down his pale face. My hand covered my mouth as I examined the familiar piece of dark art that was embedded into his arm.
“Your- your a death eater,” I gasped gently. He avoided meeting my gaze as I gawped in awe. “This ... this was the reason why I kept neglecting you. I didn’t want to drag you into any of this mess .. I-,” cutting him off I lifted his chin glaring into his emotion filled eyes. “Draco.. you know that I’ll always be there for you no matter what right?” I questioned as my thumb drew tiny circles on his cheek.
He hummed before I pulled him in for a kiss wrapping my arms around his neck. His lips were slightly chapped but I didn’t mind. A feeling of euphoria ran through my body like adrenaline while his breathing became more frantic and fast.
Pulling away panting, I locked his hand into mine as I sat in front of him. “I’ll always be here for you no matter what,” I panted while staring into his cold eyes as he slowly nodded.
A teardrop slipped down his cheek as I brushed it with my finger
“We can figure this out,” I reassured him.
“A mark doesn’t define who you are,”

A Glimpse Through the Years - 2nd Year
| Masterlist |
1st of September 1992 - 2nd Year:
The summer holidays had been even more boring than the christmas ones (and that was saying something). There were loads of formal parties and not nearly enough fun to be had.  You never thought you would admit it but you were glad school was back but also… it was Hogwarts.
Waving off your brother and mum, you step through the barrier once again. You close your eyes and tilt your face up as a feeling of relief and extreme nervousness washes over you.
You hear the faint sound of your name being called, then you felt persistent tapping on your shoulder. You spin around and come face to face with a… paper bag?
“I took care of my face!” the bag says. You slowly realise who it was and burst into laughter. Draco was standing there, a paper brown bag over his head. You lift it off and smile at his blushing face.  You turn the bag over in your hands, it was distinctly muggle.  “How the heck did you even get one of these?” He does jazz hands and puts on an over-excited smile “MaGiC!!”
You shake your head at his antics, grabbing his arm and pulling him along beside you. “Lets go before someone steals our compartment.” You weave your way through the crowd, tripping up a lot of people and apologising every second.
It took forever to get on that train and by the time you actually got on it, Draco looked extremely aggravated. Not knowing what else to do, you start to apologise. “If i hear you say sorry one more time. You are unfriended once again.” “Who said we were ever friends?” you tease, before running down the train laughing your head off. He charges after you, looking like an angry bull.  You decide to irk him further, which is probably not a good idea. “Woah there Draco! You look a bit Gryffindorrish to me!”
He catches up to you and pulls you to a stop just outside the compartment you wanted. “Oh? to be a Slytherin I must have no emotions?” “Well I mean, your ‘family’ will be proud”  He makes a disgusted face and pulls open the compartment door then turns to face you, “But are you proud of me?” “More than anything Dray!” You laugh, pulling him in.
Tumblr media
You resist the urge to roll your eyes at Draco questioning why Potter wasn’t at the Feast. You couldn’t help but be a little curious as well. Where was he? Is he expelled? Missed the train? Or worse?
Draco notices the look on your face and frowns in disgust. “Don’t tell me you are worrying about Potter.” “Says the boy who just asked me where he was. How am i supposed to know?”
He opens his mouth and closes it, a little confused. “Fair point… At least Potter missed Dumble-bore’s speech. Lucky him.” You stab a fork into your meat and wave it around and answer. “Some of us have all the luck.”
With your mouth full of meat you stand and pull Draco along with you. “Since you are so concerned about Potter, let’s go find him.” “What? Just go searching around the castle?” “Yeah!” You stop for a second and look back at him “why, are you scared?” He scoffs and pushes past you “Of course not! I’m Draco Malfoy, a pureblood slytherin. What would I be scared of?”
The two of you creep along the corridor, trying to look for anything that hinted at Potter. It was going for so long that you had started to give up and were about to suggest going back when Draco suddenly pulled you behind an armoured guard just as Mcgonagall, Ron and Harry came past. Not believing your luck, you both look at each other in shock before scrambling after the three Gryffindors.
You couldn’t have gone more than 100 meters before a drawling voice from behind you made you stop in your tracks “What… in the world… do you think you are… doing?” Heart in your throat, you slowly spin around, wracked with fear.  “Ahh Professor Snape!” Draco pipes up, seemingly perfectly at ease. “We were just taking a nice walk around the castle!” “In the dark? ...Alone?”  He nods earnestly, still showing no fear towards being caught. Snape sighs and gestures towards the dungeons. “I suggest that the two of you... hurry back to the common room… the feast is over..” He spun around, swishing his cloak and walked back to his office.
Draco grins at you and grabs your hand, pulling you towards the dungeons. You pass a couple of paintings more strange than the last before speaking. “You know what’s not fair?” You say, rather huffily. “That you’re Snape’s favourite.”  He laughs “Well if i wasn’t Snape’s favourite can you imagine how it would’ve gone? You would have had to kiss any free afternoons that you had goodbye.”
When you get into the common room, almost everyone except yourselves were already up in their dorms. The only people sitting around were Crabba and Goyle. You felt the shift in Dracos demeanor and rolled your eyes before he even realised what he was doing.
He strode up to them and struck up a conversation as you stood awkwardly off to one side. After a little bit you gave up on the pretense that he would leave the conversation to talk to you and walked up to the dorms, hearing snippets of the conversation in which he was invested in so adamantly.
Tumblr media
The first few months of school flew by in a blur. You drew closer to Theo and Blaise even though you still believed you were best friends with draco even if it was nearly impossible to even talk to him nowadays.
It was the night of the Halloween feast. You had just come down from the dorm after spending a tantalizing long time cleaning up after Pansy after she threw around everything in her wardrobe. You suppress a yawn. No matter how much you love this feast, you have a feeling it’s going to drag on a little too long for your liking.
Just as you round the corner, Harry and his friends bolt past like bats out of hell, making the split second decision to follow them, you spin around and stumble after them.
You hear shouts just as you round the corner and jump back with a scream. There, on the wall hung Mrs Norris and a message with what seemed to be inscribed in blood was "THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED. ENEMIES OF THE HEIR, BEWARE." You cover your mouth in absolute horror, before speaking “did… did one of you do this?” You say cautiously. Ron bristled up, his face turning red “Us? How typical of a slytherin to blame it on someone else! It was probably you trying to fr-”After
“Shut up Ronald” Hermione says stiffly. “she has a reason to think that.  all, we are here at a rather unfortunate time..” “Y/n?” A voice calls out from the other end of the corridor. An unmistakable voice. “Is that you? I heard you scream as I was heading back to the feast and came to see wha…” Draco stops short and looks at the wall. You could see his lips moving as he read the message and registered the cat. In a blink of an eye, his gaze is on Harry. Before he could get a word out, tons of students came pouring in from every direction and just like you, they stood and read the message before it all erupted into chaos. Filch was cradling his frozen cat and students were desperately trying to work out what was happening. Out of the noise came a loud, snobbish voice “Enemies of the Heir, beware! You’ll be next, Mudbloods!”
You go to stop him just as Albus Dumbledore himself came along. He ordered Gilderoy, Snape, Mcgonagall, Filch, Potter and his friends to accompany him, leaving it up to the prefects to establish some order within this chaos.
By the time you got back to the common room, rumours were circling already of the writing on the wall. You threw yourself onto your bed, too exhausted to think about it. You woke up and were hit with the events of last night. Groaning, you fell back into your bed, stuffing a pillow over your face. Eventually, you had to get up and eat something, desperately wishing you knew where the kitchens were located.
Tumblr media
Throughout the next few weeks, you received the dirtiest looks possible from the three other houses. Everyone either thought it was one of the slytherins or Harry Potter. Which was why you were receiving such glares, also since Draco had shouted the M-slur, everyone was taking out their anger on you, since you were his best friend, so double glare.
Draco. You hadn’t spoken to him for a little while. You were angry at him for shouting that since your mother is a muggleborn. He had tried - on numerous occasions - to strike up a conversation, but you had blatantly ignored him, only feeling white hot anger at each encounter.
But the more time you spent apart, left you feeling sadder. No matter what he did, you couldn’t stay angry at him for more than a day, but this took the cake. As more petrifications happened, you grew terrified. Not even the worst Slytherin could do this, right? ‘Right’ you decided. ‘A talk with Draco is long overdue.’
A few days later, you managed to catch him on his own. He was running down the corridors, obviously late for Charms class. “Hey Draco wait!” you called out! Catching up to him and grabbing his arm to stop him. He turned around and a flurry of emotions ran over his face. Relief, happiness and confusion. “Y/n hey! What's wrong?” he said, trying to get rid of the awkward air. “I - um I’ve been better… these attacks are freaking me out a bit…” He laughs “The Heir won't attack us. We’re Slytherins!” “R-right anyways, I came to ask two things.” He looks a bit apprehensive at this but gestures for you to continue. You take a deep breath and begin “One. Why did you shout out mudbloods you’ll be next? You know my mums a muggle-born and it’s a seriously rude thing to say.” He tries to look sorry but you can tell he was having a hard time. “It wasn’t meant towards your mum. You know I love her and I was only meaning that mudblood Hermione. Next question.” “Dray, you can’t go around calling people slurs for god's sake! Two. Do you know who the Heir could be…?” He narrows his eyes and studies your face before realising what you were implying. “You think I’m the Heir don’t you?” You say nothing, confirming his suspicions. His face grows cold with anger. “As delighted as my father would be if i were, I’m not. I don’t know about you but don’t particularly like our school being in danger.” You raise your eyebrow at him, going on the defensive.
“You certainly don’t show it. You always look amused at the next attack”
He ignores what you just said, his eyes growing distant as he shook like a leaf. “7 years of friendship and you think I’m capable of this. Really shows what you actually think of me.”
“Then maybe don’t look so delighted when people are getting petrified left, right and centre.” You snap back. “Maybe stop sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong. It’s not like you’re gonna be hurt anytime soon.” He sneered.
You push past him. Tired of it. “Stop trying to be someone you’re not Dray, stuck-up rude snob isn’t a good colour on you.”
*Dracos POV*
He grasped his hair as you turned the corner, filled with hurt and anger. Fat chance he was going to Charms now, he didn’t feel like getting stared at with daggers. He knew he should apologise but he didn’t feel like it right now.
He had missed hanging out with you so much and the moment you chose to talk, he had blown it.
He leant against the wall and slid down to the floor. Closing his eyes, sulking. He grew bored after a while and stumbled back to the library, having nothing better to do. On the way he passed the bulletin and looked to see if anything good was happening.
‘Next weekend at Hogsmeade’ no, ‘Firecrackers for 5 galleons each’ no, ‘Dueling Club’ no- his eyes went back to it and he picked up a pamphlet interested.
“Dueling Club tonight! All are Welcome! ~ Gilderoy Lockhart”
Draco shrugged. He might go… just for laughs.
Tumblr media
It was finally time for the Dueling Club. He sauntered through the Great Hall’s doors, a cocky grin on his face as Crabba and Goyle flanked him like bodyguards. A long singular table had been set up where Lockhart was harassing students near him.
He walked up to the stage with his followers, sneering at everyone around him, but in turn just keeping an eye out for you. He finally spots you at the front, looking uncomfortable from Lockhart asking you question after question. He storms up to Lockhart and interrupts him “Sorry Professor, but me and y/n need to practise” he takes you by the arm and leads you away, before Lockhart could say anything. He signals for crabbe and Goyle to remain behind, wanting to keep this between you and him.
*Your POV* You glare at him, still hurt from before. He places a hand behind his neck looking awkward
“Look, Y/n” He stares at you, his eyes holding anguish and genuine guilt. “I’m sorry for being a prick just today and back in October. You’re my… closest friend and I couldn’t bear not talking. You mean too much to me.” You deflate a little, smiling weakly. You had hoped for this, you had barely taken it either.
Words failing you, you took a step forward and hugged him ferociously, catching him off guard. Moments later he hugs you back, blinking through unshed tears, burying his face into your shoulder. Both of you suffer through the disastrous Dueling Club together. Stifling your laughter at Lockhart and being so shocked when Harry started speaking parseltongue? Both of you walked back to the common room, being the two of many students whispering about Harry’s ‘gift’.
The rest of the year wore on and it was discovered that even a ghost could be petrified. The golden trio were constantly giving you looks that confused you. Harry wore a worried face, where Ron was just angry but he looked that way toward every Slytherin nowadays and Hermione? Hermione just looked thoughtful. Which unnerved you the most. You liked Hermione, - she reminded you a lot of yourself - but she was scary when it came to figuring out something. Which was why you couldn’t help but put your guard up when you passed her in the corridor, looking anywhere but at her.
Which was why it surprised you when both Hermione and a prefect were petrified. Out of all the muggle borns in the school, she wasn’t on your list of ‘likely to be petrified’.
Days went by and you both watched Ron and Harry grow more and more aggravated. They seemed to be lost in painful thought more often than not and (not that you would ever admit this aloud) you hoped they would find the Heir soon and defeat them.
It was two weeks until the end of school and the situation was at a standstill. Everyone was on edge, thinking this was the quiet before the storm. And they weren’t wrong. A week later, the second Writing on the Wall happened, everyone was shocked no matter how many times they had predicted it. Even Draco was shocked “Okay, i'm sure that no slytherins could do that” he had said, wide eyed.
You had spent the next few days anxiously biting your nails, hoping, praying, something would happen. And something did.
It was a late night and you stormed out of the common room, angry at yourself for developing a horrible sleep schedule from the recent turn of events. At that moment you heard a crash and a few angry whispered shouts consisting of “shut the bloody hell up” and unmistakable “sorry”. You bit back a gasp.
It was Ron and Harry. You shuffled along the corridor and peeked around the corner, hiding once again once you saw what was happening. Dumbledore was escorting a stunned Lockhart while Ron and Harry carried Ginny between them, absolutely filthy. You peeked your head around the corner once more, watching as Dumbledore looked out straight at you and winked, with his familiar twinkle in his eye.
It was the last feast of the school year and you watched as the Gryffindor was showered in points as Slytherin started up their typical booing. You rubbed your temples, just glad that the whole headache had passed. Draco patted your back with sympathy, thinking you were just mourning over Slytherins loss. “Come off it y/n, we’ll win next year.” you smile at him, just glad he isn’t too upset. “Yeah i know. We’ll wipe the floor with them.” You grin at each other before laughing, heading off to finish packing.
Tumblr media
You throw your luggage into the compartment above you, huffing in exhaustion. As you swing it, you almost knock out Draco, clipping his shoulder. You couldn’t help but laugh as he fell to the floor and stayed there for a good hour, teasing to no end.
When he finally gets up, he drapes himself over you, plucking the book out of your hands and as payback, made fun of every character he came across.
You groan as the whistle signaling the arrival into Kings Cross Station. You push Draco off your lap and reluctantly grab your luggage (almost knocking him out again for good measure) heading off the train.
You took in the bustling atmosphere and wild crowd, trying to spot your parents. Once you had located them, you turn to Draco who had found his a long time ago but had waited for you. “So.. until next year Dray..” you say sadly. “Heh. Yeah.” He ran a hand through his hair smiling sweetly. He seemed to make up his mind about something and gave you a quick hug and kiss on the cheek, whispering in your ear “I’m gonna miss you.” You smile at him and run off to your parents, waving just as you leave for the muggle world.
If you had only stuck around for a second longer, you might have seen the deep blush that grew across Dracos cheeks.

Two sides of the same coin.
Alright! So this is how it’s gonna go, I thought of this little somewhat scenario in my head with an Oc of mine, Where she’s like a long lost sister of Harry Potter where there is this prophecy about twins being separated and brought back together when the situation goes dire.
Summary: Y/n Brighton adopted daughter of a Muggle family has been accepted into Hogwarts a school for wizards and witches has lived a peaceful life before going to Hogwarts, all of that changes when she is accepted the same year as the infamous Harry Potter.
Tumblr media
How did your life get to this point?
Your wondering Y/n what do you mean?
Well I’ll tell, I was living quite a normal boring life that held the same routine and would only switch up time to time.
It all changed when I had received a letter, It was weird cause my parents were talking about me going to a private school, the schools name was Hogwarts it was really peculiar because I had never heard of it, and so did my parents, so we wrote back hoping to receive an explanation, we asked and we received.
Hogwarts was a school for young wizards and witches being taught magic, I wasn’t buying it but then weird stuff happened to me I when I would be scared or angry.
I then decided to learn what I can, buying books that contained things that I needed to know about magic, famous wizards and witches, and since I was adopted my biological parents were probably magical like me.
Excitedly going to Diagon alley to buy what I needed with my Family alongside with me, fully supporting me, My older brothers calling me cool and asking if I could do cool tricks like the wizards in games and movies did, My little siblings looking up to me and proud for having a witch for a sister.
There was also news that spread really fast through out the wizarding world about the boy who lived, Harry Potter.
Harry Potter, was only a baby when Voldemort or people call him you-know-who but you really didn’t see the point by calling him that, decided to kill Harry and his family, Harry’s parents were murdered but Harry survived but didn’t leave unscathed, He had a lightning shaped scar on his forehead.
I don’t know if that was pure coincidence but you also had a scar in a shape of a star on the side of your neck.
Your Mother had told you before hand to be careful because she heard that Voldemort was only gone for a while and we wouldn’t know when or if he’d come back, so you promised your Mother you would write to her updating your situation in Hogwarts every weekend, knowing you would stay in dorms at school.
Your parents cried when they saw you in your school uniform and robes at  Madam Malkin's Robes, your brothers bothering them if they could try on the uniform to, causing you to giggle.
It was then you were there at King’s cross station, parked at the front and getting your luggage and your owl out of the car with the help of your siblings and Father while Mother carried your new born Baby brother and sister.
You asked as how you were going to get on to platform 9 and 3/4 before hand, You and your whole family running at the wall between platform 9 and 10.
The train was magnificent, after exchanging goodbye’s and kisses your luggage was placed into the train and you were now finding a compartment to sit in, it was all full.
You were passing by a compartment when you heard a familliar name.
“Holy Cricket you must be Harry Potter!” You heard a girls voice.
“I’m Hermione Granger and...you are?”
“Um, Ronald Weasley” “Pleasure”
You shook your head and just continued to walk around finding a place to sit for a while and change into your uniform and robes.
The train had stop meaning you were at the station, going outside seeing a giant bearded man approached the station holding a lamp calling the first years to him, being you who had to behave because her parents weren’t around and clearly not knowing anyone, you obeyed and followed the 8 foot giant.
The travel going to Hogwarts was fascinating travelling by boat with four people each in it.
Then there you stood, getting out of the boat being presented in front of a large castle, Holy.
You were guaranteed you were going to get lost, and this was no mall, this was going to be the school you would be studying in for 7 years, they definitely would be having a map lying around, right? Like the castle was massive!
The inside was fascinating in itself, It looked so grand ascending at the staircase you were met with a woman with Her hair tide up into a neat bun wearing a green robe and glasses.
She introduces herself to be one of the professors in Hogwarts, Professor Mcgonagall and that we would be sorted into houses that would be like our families, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.
She leaves us there for a while when this blonde kid speaks,
“So it’s true what they’re saying in the train, Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts” Others start whispering to each other while you on the other side just wanna get sorted and sleep, standing for a while having an effect on you.
“I’m Malfoy, Draco Malfoy” Ron snorts “You think my name is funny do you? Red Hair, Freckles, and a hand me down robe, you must be a Weasley” Draco said while he looked Ron up and Down “You see some wizarding families are more well off then others, you don’t want to be making friends with the wrong sort” “I think I can tell the wrong sort myself thank you” Draco surprised looked at Harry while other children snickering from behind, While you get Hangry wouldn’t care less.
The Professor Mcgonagall comes back to lead us to the Great hall where there were other students seated at four different tables in different colored robes assuming that’s why they had to sort us in houses.
You opened you eyes and looked up at the ceiling widening in awe on how beautiful it looked, the night sky on the ceiling of the hall, remembering it wasn’t real and that it was made to look like that in A Hogwarts History.
The first years stopped walking and a four legged stool was placed at the front where the teachers and students could see you being sorted into your house, you were not a social lot, or nor you were unsocial you just didn’t like the feeling of many eyes staring at you.
Professor Mcgonagall rolled out a scroll that had a list of names, students were called and seated on the stool and the sorting hat would be sorted into their houses.
Your name was called; Y/n Brighton.
Y/n sat down on the stool and tried to shake off the feeling of eyes watching her when the hat landed on her head and covered her eyes she could finally be sorted into a house and get this thing over with to stop the feeling of everyone's eyes boring into her.
"Ah..Yes.. Difficult very Difficult there's so much potential and a mystery waiting to be solved of your origins.." origins? You thought wondering what the hat meant by that.
"You are cunning, intelligent creative too..you could do pleanty of wonders better it would be.."
The hat stalls for a while deciding what House to sort you in, You just wanted to be sorted into a house any house, you just wanted to get down form there, nothing bad will happen anyways if you were sorted into a unexpected house, "SLYTHERIN!" The sorting hat shouts, the Slytherin table bustling having a new member on their side, the sorting hat was taken off your head and you jumped off the stool and walked to the Slytherin table.
You sat down and were still hanging onto what the sorting hat meant by ‘ a mystery waiting to be solved of your origins’  What did he mean? is it cause I’m adopted?
After the sorting ceremony and a speech we all went to eat, I was waiting for this I was starving the food was good and delicious It was like home.
*-*
You were completely lost!
It was surely a stupid idea but you just followed the person in front of you, hoping you would get to where you were going.
And as stupid as it may seem it worked? You got to potions class and coincidently sat next to famous Harry Potter.
You got out your book and turned to the page Professor instructed the class to turn to and began discussing.
Next to you Harry was writing down stuff, you put your hand on top of his a signal for him to stop writing, and he did.
He looked up at you confused then you shaked your head and pointed at Snape’s direction, he looked at him and just put his quill down, you retreating your hand to listen in on the lecture.
Let’s just say you saved him one by telling him to stop writing.
It was time for Broom flight class, and boy this was going to be terrifying.
Don’t get me wrong flying brooms sounds cool and all but not when you were afraid of falling of the broom and hitting your head and forgetting who you are and who your family were and-
Okay! No overthinking! Overthinking is bad it restricts you in doing things properly...
There you were skillfully flying on your broom doing loopty loops with some struggles with your grip on the broom, it was like the broom had a mind of it’s own but you were still holding on.
No-one was clearly paying attention cause they were watching Harry getting Neville’s remembrall back.
He got it back, yes, But he was called by Professor Mcgonagall.
You went back down so you wouldn’t be scolded, a kid did complimented your little tricks, you thanked them.
It would be hard to make such an image if you were in the same year as Harry Potter.
So you took the chance of just doing well with your new subjects and learn and understand as much as you can.
Your Y/n Brighton after all!
Or where you?
---------------------
You don’t know how excited I am to do this series I’ve had this idea for a while now and I just want to hope you guys will like this series, yes a series, for how long? I do not know, Have I already thought who would be Y/n’s love interest? Yes and there will be no love interest cause Y/n is an independent queen who always speaks her mind and will never be shut up.
Also I would like to think reader would look like Lily and has red hair but has James eyes, Like Harry looking like his Father but has his Mothers eyes, also I guess I’ll be putting stuff I learnt about when I started reading the Harry Potter books, I haven’t finished but it’s better than not being able to read it yet and I had to make reader be sorted into Slytherin cause #Normalizesiblingsindifferenthouses.

MuggleBorn Dating a Disaster Twin Weasley Extensive Headcanons:
A/n: So, who thought that this was a Draco only blog? Well, GUESS WHO WAS WRONG? me. It was me. But I’m a softie for a few other HP characters, of which are the Weasley twins. Thanks for the request @peachesandpinks!!!
Also, this is super long again. I apologize for nothing.
Tumblr media
Okay we’re going with George here because he’s a bean so is Fred but ya know.
McGonagall is the one who delivers your letter and explains everything to you and you’re parents and you about have a mental breakdown because “well, of course, I noticed I do some weird stuff but magic are you serious?”
McGonagall is just not having it. Especially when she realizes that this is also the twins' first year as well because good lord more Weasleys??
Anyway, you’re in a train compartment by yourself because you don’t really know anyone and you can’t find your cousin who also attends Hogwarts so you’re just provolone
You’re about asleep when your compartment door slams shut and you jump up, seeing two boys with bright red hair grinning and hiding
“Um hello?”
They both shush you and pull you down with them. You hear yells and a very angry voice walk right past your compartment and the boys snicker
“Oh Percy, when will you realize,” “you can never escape us,” they’re grinning like madmen and you’re just so confused
“Um... guys?” You squeak. “Oh, right,” one says. “Sorry about that,” the other replies. “Fred and George Weasley,” the first hold his hand out for you to shake. You do. Hesitant.
“Who’s who?”
“What do you mean?” The second asks. “Who’s Fred and who’s George?” You clarify slightly annoyed. “Fred, George, respectively.” The first—Fred—grins. “And the prat out there is our brother Percy,” George flashes the same smile.
You study them, trying to pick out the differences between them. You can’t find anything except—Fred has dark brown eyes and George has slightly greener ones.
“Oi. What are you doing?” George asks.
“Trying to tell you two apart?”
That baffles both of them because let’s face it— it might be a joke but even their own mother has a hard time at that
You’re eternally grateful that you’re sorted into Gryffindor with them
You become their new favorite person. Especially after they find out you’re Muggle-born. Fred tries to corrupt you with fake facts and sometimes so does George. Most times you can tell if it’s real or not but on the occasion you can’t, you’ll look to George and his either nod or shake his head
They also bombard you with muggle based questions asking what it’s like and how you do certain things
They’re just goofballs and it’s nice to not be so serious all the time. When you’re studying and fretting over your first Potions exam George comes in and asks if you wanna see something cool and then you meet up with Fred and proceed to prank Filch who had it out for you the moment you were late for class. Not that it’s your fault you don’t know where you’re going and everything looks the same
Whenever you’re falling behind on spells or charms, George is the first to volunteer to help you out because let’s face it he’s brilliant with magic But not so good with facts and memorizing, so you help him out with History of Magic and Herbology
It’s always a game to see if you can still tell them apart. “Geroge,” No I’m Fred,” No you’re George, I just spent the last hour studying with Fred,” “no that was me!” “Ha! The past hour I was working on Potions alone! You are George!” Maybe he sulks a bit because you outsmarted him but part of him wonders did you really know it was him?
Of course, you knew it was George. His eyes crinkle when he smiles and Fred’s don’t
You might not be good at pranks, but you are brilliant for thinking out all the flaws and lying your way out of just about anything which makes the three of you quite scary and unstoppable
When you do get caught, McGonagall lets you all off easy because you three remind her of another group of mischievous Gryffindors
Their mother totally sends you a Christmas sweater
Over the holidays you actually miss your friends. You had more friends than just the twins, but it wasn’t the same without them.
Second-year comes and the twins make the Quidditch team and insist that you learn how to fly on a broom
“Oh come on!” “It’ll be fun!”
“Guys really, I don’t like heights and I’d rather keep my feet on the ground,” you insist.
They grin at each other and George grabs you and kicks off the ground and suddenly you’re very high and terrified. You scream and cling to him and he’s laughing but you’re just so scared and it’s not funny which maybe makes them laugh more because it’s just a silly prank
When you stop talking to them for a few days they realize that “oh Merlin we messed up.” Well, George realizes it first when you’re having trouble in Transfiguration but you refuse his help and take the failing grade
He tries to apologize. A lot. But you never quite seem to be in the right place at the right time.
So he puts his inventing skills to good use and charms a paper into a snitch and it lands on your desk. Begrudgingly you open it.
“I really am sorry. Please don’t be mad. I didn’t know, I won’t prank you ever again. ~George”
You thaw a little and smile at him.
And maybe you do show up at his first quidditch game despite swearing you’re not going
His heart soars when he sees you and Fred has to whack him to make him pay attention.
You keep going to their Quidditch matches... begrudgingly. You’re still a bit sore after their prank on you and you’re not one for Quidditch, to be honest but you go because it makes them George happy and smiles
To be fair it is one of the most stressful things you’ve seen because quidditch is dangerous even more so than muggle sports and you don’t care how many potions or spells are out there it’s not safe they think your rants against quidditch are cute and you just huff and storm away
The point is proven in third year when George gets knocked off his broom by a Slytherin and nearly falls to his death. You scream in terror and are the first on the field next to him
He makes a joke about “falling for you” and you want to hit him with a burning passion but he’s hurt so you refrain. For now.
You fall asleep on his hospital cot because Pomfrey insists on keeping George overnight to make sure the bones reset correctly
You wake up and see the same familiar smile and his hazel eyes crinkle and you’re heart flutters when he’s healed you do hit him and scold him about being reckless. Everyone in the Great Hall laughs because he gets the same lecture from his mother in a Howler
Everyone totally ships you two and Fred has tried many a time to get you two to admit your feelings for each other. He even tried to trick you into thinking he was George but you knew the difference. Of which he will never understand how you just know
With third-year coming means it’s the first year with their little brother Ron and their older brother Percy is a prefect and you can tell that the twins feel a little lost in the middle of it
So you start to plan very elaborate pranks for the twins
You’re their “godfather” of the prank operations with aid of the marauders' map then you have to explain what The Godfather is and finally you have to make them sit down and watch the movies
With a mini projector, you bring from home and charm so that it'll work because good lord you missed watching movies. The entire Gryffindor house gets in on movie nights and other muggle-borns are so hyped for a bit of normalcy
Fred has the ideas but Merlin, George can make them a reality and it just baffles you on how his mind works because he’s absolutely brilliant and it’s not fair
Sometimes George comes to you needing muggle ideas or perspective. Fred finds you two geeking out late at night in the common room and maybe hugging when you two figure out how to make something work. It’s awkward and blushing and Fred is not helping
Fourth-year comes and it’s the first year with their younger sister Ginny and she absolutely enamored with you because you’re like a sister to her
When the Chamber of Secrets opens George flips out and tracks you down because this thing is taking down Muggle-borns. Now you hardly go without having a protection squad of the Weasley twins and you just want a moment alone
Which means you go off on George one night “Just leave me alone! I’m fine! Nothing is going to happen to me!” You shout. “And what if something does happen! Do you think I could live with myself knowing you got hurt or worse!?” He yells back. “And why do you care!? What difference does it make!?” He just stammers and storms away and you stare after him wondering what the hell just happened.
You find yourself in the Astronomy Tower alone. “Merlin Y/n!” You turn and see Fred. “Okay, I know that you’re great at pranks but this is really not funny,” “What do you mean?” You wipe the tears off your face. “George is going mad with worry right now! He thinks that you’re dead!” “Why would he care?” You mumble. “Oh, you two are impossible!” Fred exclaims and walks off.
You hear someone else come up to the tower and you think it’s Fred again. You tell him to go away.
“I thought you knew the difference between us?”
You look up and see George. You cross your arms and look down. “Come to yell at me some more?” You mumble. He sits down beside you. “Sorry,” He mutters. “I didn’t mean to yell at you,” A silence falls between you. “You... you’re my best friend, other than Fred, and I don’t want anything happening to you...” “You’re my best friend too, George, but... I can handle myself. I... I feel like you don’t think I can do it on my own when you step in. I know you’re trying to protect me, but... I feel like you think I can’t measure up because I’m a muggle-born.” “Never! Stars! I would never want you to feel like that!” George is horrified. “I’m so sorry that I made you feel that way,” You nod and lay your head on his shoulder.
He lays off on being so overprotective and you don’t snap at him as much when he does get protective over you. Fred is dying inside because you two are so blind and Merlin you’re both his friends but he wants to lock you in a closet and not let you out until someone confesses something
Can you imagine the pun wars between you two? You once were up to a hundred cat puns in front of McGonagall that she actually gives you two detention because she also ships it and maybe some alone time together will get you two together. It doesn’t work
Fred being Fred hatches a plan with the rest of your friends to get you two to confess your feelings. It’s a ‘casual’ game of seven minutes in heaven. Fred totally bewitched the bottle to land on you when George spins it
You are absolutely red when you realize that you have to spend seven minutes with George in a wardrobe. But you’re not backing down and neither is George because damn it if you’re going to let Fred be smug about this or taunt you
But now you're very close to George in a dim space only lit by your wands and you’re both redder than his hair
“Look, we don’t have to...” He stammers. “It’s just a...” “Yeah,” You blush deeper, really noticing the green in his eyes. And he smiles and there’s that crinkle in his eyes that you love and then you’re kissing him. You’re kissing your best friend in a wardrobe while his brother is snickering outside.
He pulls away, baffled. “You uh,” “Yeah,” You breathe out. “You wanna...?” “Just kiss me, red,” “Red?” He smirks and you roll your eyes pulling his tie to kiss you again.
Seven minutes is a lot shorter when you’re having the revelation that you’re in love with your best friend and now he's kissing you in the dark. Fred pulls the wardrobe door open and George slams it back in his face and you burst out laughing and lean against him, feeling safe in his arms
Fred will not shut up about “I told you so!” as you’re curled up in George’s lap in the common room, studying for Transfiguration.
okay off-topic but George gets the entire Gryffindor team to choreograph “Did I Mention” from the Descendants after his next Quidditch game and you’re just laughing at your goofball and grinning because he’s just so ridiculous and Merlin you love him
George is the sweetest boyfriend ever. You’re still best friends but now he gets to kiss you whenever he wants and hold your hand and now he has an excuse to be protective. “I’m your boyfriend! It’s my job!”
You hex him and remind him that you can handle yourself just fine and he just loves you more
“Georgie / Red / Pretty boy” and “Sunshine / Smiles / Beautiful” Just all the nicknames
You scold them both when they start prototypes for their theoretical joke shop because it’s dangerous and you care about your boys and man are they babies when they’re hurt. Not that you have a problem with taking care of them
Geroge invites you to the Burrow for Christmas and is super nervous and tripping over his words because he knows his family and that he doesn’t have the nicest things and he wants to give you the world but he knows he can’t but you roll your eyes and ruffle his hair
Mrs. Weasley absolutely adores you. “No, please dear just call me mum,” She ushers you around the Burrow and scolds George for not being a proper gentleman, and when he starts to say he’s Fred you give him a look and he grumbles. Mrs. Weasely doesn't understand how you can tell them apart and asks for your secret. You admit that their eyes are different and that George’s eyes crinkle when he smiles
“How in the stars did you figure that out?” George asks. “The day on the train, our first year,” you admit. “Remember you asked me what I was doing?” Everyone watching just “aww”s and you’re blushing
Mr. Weasely asks you about a thousand questions about being muggles. Your shirts, your books, your pens, your dishwashers... When you’re overwhelmed with questions, both George and Fred are defending you
You’re mystified about how magic works in a domestic setting and you want George to explain everything and all his fears about not having the best or newest things fades because technically everything is new to you and your little muggle self
When George visits you over the summer your parents absolutely love him. Somehow he knows how to be polite and a gentleman and your goofball is mature and charming and you’re not so nervous anymore and wow you love him especially when he’s still a goofball when you’re alone
Your muggle tech and home mystify him the same way that his home mystifies you and he gets it. He loves your lava lamp and Star Wars and Grease the Musical
When it comes to his family, of course, you love Fred, you haven’t met Bill, but Charlie is a darling and you both geek out over dragons because dragons. Percy still gets on your nerves but you think that it’s just second hand from your boys, Ron is best friends with the “chosen one” which doesn’t mean a lot to you because you didn’t know about “Harry Potter” until you got to Hogwarts. You and Ginny go out every once in a while as just girls to get a break from the testosterone you love George but sometimes you need a break
You think that fifth year it’s a good idea to give Harry the map because of Sirius Black and convince the boys to give it up. They sulk about it but agree
As you grow older, your pranks grow a lot more elaborate and better executed but you always make sure that they stay safe for everyone involved
You’re still wary about George and Fred playing Quidditch, but one night George knocks on your window, riding his broom, grinning.
“What are you doing!?” You hiss, looking around to make sure no one can see him. “Fly with me,” He offers his hand. “George,” You whine. “I don't like-” “I’m not going to let you fall,” His voice is so soft and sincere that you give in and now you're clinging to him, as you soar over the castle. You don’t dare look, but with his arms wrapped tightly around you, you’re not so scared anymore. And maybe you do look. He beaming at you and looks so happy that you can’t help but smile back. You never want to fly on your own broom, but you don’t mind riding with George not and again
You comfort George when Ron becomes a prefect, and the comment from his mother really gets to him. “Just a twin,” He mutters, “No,” You retort. “You’re George. My George. Whose eyes have green in them and crinkle when he smiles. Who has more freckles than Fred and is better in class even slightly. You’re brilliant and an inventor and deserve the world,” “How do you know I have more freckles than Fred? Are you looking at him too?” He jokes and you laugh, knowing he feels better and it’s not a defense mechanism because you really do know him.
Your parents meeting one another is just hysterical. At first, it’s in a public setting in the wizarding world because your parents aren't used to magic just yet. Mr. Weasly has another thousand questions and both moms fawn over the two of you as a couple and it has you both bright red.
You don’t see him the over the next summer because you get a muggle job and he picks up odd jobs so that you two can have date money of which you insist on paying for half of because he might be your boyfriend, but you can handle yourself and well, it’s not the middle ages anymore
But Merlin, sixth year his hair has grown out and he’s grown about half a foot and you are a lovestruck goner. Everyone can tell the twins apart better this year because their hair is different, but nothing changes for you, you still look for George’s smile.
You help them perfect their age spell to get their names into the goblet, knowing full well it won’t work, but it’s cute to see them try.
He’s so awkward and fumbling over his words when he asks you to the Yule Ball and you laugh and ask him to the Ball instead Promposal style
“You might be a Beater but I’m Seeking a Ball date and you’re a Keeper”
He’s bright red and everyone in the Great Hall cheers. Now there are cheesy muggle Promposals everywhere and you’re damn proud of your influence
You get your drivers license along with your Apperating license “Why would you get a driver’s license? You can Apperate!” George points out. He shuts his mouth when he sees you pull up to the Burrow on a Harley motorcycle and he bloody loves that you have a license because damn his girlfriends is hot and also a very bad influence on Charlie who gets a bike too and you guys now have matching dragonhide leather jackets
Dolores Umbridge has met her match with you. “There’s nothing in the rules that says I can’t dye my hair bright blue,” “I’m sorry, Professor, can you go over that again? I don’t quite understand what you mean by that wand movement... must be my stupid muggle background,” “My apologies ma’am but can you please explain your exact problem with me being here?” She fears the days you raise your hand in class it’s your senior year and you don’t really give a damn. A lot of educational degrees are your fault and now it's a game to see who can get the most between the three of you
Whenever Malfoy or his friends try to insult your blood status you laugh because it's like being threatened by a chihuahua even though everyone else is furious and ready to hex the crap out of the little prat
You are absolutely furious when Fred and George get banned from the Quidditch team that you actually consider joining to spite Umbridge
George rolls his eyes and pulls you close because he knows you’ll never get onto a broom.
Except for the day that he and Fred quit school. You follow their lead and you’re gone, leaving Hogwarts behind you. George is furious, but you shrug. You never wanted to pursue a Magic job, you were quite okay living with the best of both worlds and besides, they needed someone to do the professional/design side of their new business
You go to a muggle university after working it out with McGonagall on how to get your grades transposed over. You study the classics and Latin and broaden your horizons and think of starting a muggle/wizard school
But then the war starts. You join the Order of the Phoenix and put uni on hold until your Wizarding world is safe. You work with muggles and muggle-born kids at Hogwarts underground, making sure they’re safe too.
You, George, and Fred are hardly seen without the other. It’s always the three of you in the shop or at the Burrow, or anywhere. “The Twins” now includes you.
You and Tonks are a forced to be reckoned with. They thought the Twins were bad? It has Remus and George in a mix of fear and awe at both of you
You visit your parents at least twice a month, after moving them to West California far away from the war. You don’t explain everything but they’re not exactly complaining about a condo on the beach paid for by your savings from co-running the joke shop
You and George share a bed at night because you both need the reassurance and you have terrible nightmares that only George seems to know how to calm you down from and make you laugh after
When you get the summons to appear in court to Umbridge to prove that you’re a wizard, you walk in, hand in hand with George, in your Bon Jovi cropped t-shirt, bright blue hair, Converse trainers, throw your family history on her desk and walk out, flipping her off on the way off and George almost proposes on the spot
You wait with Molly the night that they transport Harry, waiting for your boys to come home and you nearly have a heart attack when you see George is hurt and you're about sobbing and Fred is holding you and then George makes a stupid joke to make you two laugh
You refuse to leave his side after that and he pokes fun at you “I remember a certain someone arguing about when I hovered over her because I was afraid she was going to get hurt,” You pout and he laughs, pulling you into a kiss. “This is different,” You grumble. “You are hurt,” “And thanks to you, I’m healing quite well,” He grins. You still hover. Just in case
At Bill and Fleur’s wedding, he does get all nervous about the idea and Fred breaks the ice saying that "When I get married, I won’t be bothering with any of this nonsense. You can all wear what you like, and I’ll put a Full Body-Bind Curse on Mum until it’s all over." and you laugh holding onto the hope that one day the world might be safe enough to actually get married and settle down
You co-host Potterwatch and figure out the charms to the radio so that it does change channels and requires a password you also really get into healing magic because you know a war is coming, and though you’re not much of a fighter, you have a knack for fixing things as well as mixing muggle and magic for better results
The Battle of Hogwarts comes and both twins try to convince you to stay back but hell if you’re letting them stop you “I’ll be sick with worry, you’ll be worrying about me, and it won’t be good. We need to stay together,” You whisper to George one night.
Something breaks in you when you watch Fred die and maybe it’s the notion you had against killing someone with a “muggle” gun, because the pistol just feels so right in your hand as you take down the Death Eater. The gun was your dad’s. He gave it to you when you told him there was a war coming and you cried when he did and always carried it with you
The fighting seems to be over and the Death Eaters are gone or dead but you’re still on edge. You hear someone come up behind you and you raise the gun and your wand but it’s George. He’s bloody and bruised but alive and you drop the gun and your wand and run into his arms.
He holds you tightly and you both break down sobbing and join the rest of the family as you mourn over the ones lost.
The day someone dies isn’t the worst, and the next few days aren’t so bad because there are things to do... it’s every day after when they stay dead.
You and George do get married. You’re in a t-shirt and jeans, he’s in about the same. It’s a quiet affair and no one can argue because it’s all for Fred.
It’s a year later and you and George finally reopen WWW, knowing that the world needs to laugh right now.
You both get muggle tattoo’s in Fred’s memory and name your first son after him because of the deep brown that his eyes are and the lack of freckles.
You live not far from the Burrow in a mix of muggle and magic. You get a cat named Peeves. You eventually finish Uni and the whole family comes to your graduation.
It’s never quite the same, but it’s better. And the sun still shines.

Scorpius Malfoy
@lispylizzy56 asked for some Scorpius headcanons!! CC is not canon in my verse. Here you go:
His birthday in January 21, 2005
He was such a good baby to Draco and especially Astoria! He’s such a Mama’s Boy!!
He looks like Draco, but definitely has Astoria’s personality and temperament
He is friends with his parents friends children, but the only ones his age (the twins, Mira Parkinson and Jacob Goyle) are assholes to him/annoying
He adores his little cousin Lyla Zabini and is good friends with the three oldest Nott children despite the age differences
When he walked into Al and Rose’s compartment, he knew that he was making a big leap, but he was desperate for a friend that didn’t know his life story
Rose was a bit cold to him, but Al wasn’t and their friendship was instant
He was upset to get sorted into Slytherin, but slowly it started to feel like home
The first time he officially met the rest of the Potter/Weasley family was going on their annual beach trip during the Easter holidays of his first year
He had been so nervous, but then he realized there were more people on his side than he thought
He loved hanging out with his “cousins” Molly and Lucy, and he noticed that Rose wasn’t as cold as she used to be
That first trip was the start of Scorpius being accepted into the Potter/Weasley family
During the summers, Al and Scorpius are rarely apart, they spend most of their time in a constant sleepover
Harry and Ginny start to jokingly count him as their fifth kid, (Teddy, James, Al, Lily, and then Scorpius) and Scorpius secretly loves it as his parents joke about Al being their second son
Scorpius brings out a more silly side in Al, while Al makes Scorpius be a bit more serious
The summer between fourth and fifth year, Rose and Scorpius start dating
Scorpius had a crush on her since the beach trip first year and Rose started to return the feelings towards the end of third year
None of their parents think that it’ll last that long, but Rose and Scorpius just grow more serious and understanding of each other over time
By the time their parents have caught on, they can’t try to break them up.
Ron and Hermione love Scorpius and how he’s created a relationship with not just Rose, but also Hugo. Going as far as to come over to spend time with just Hugo and do things together
Draco and Astoria adore Rose and the life she brings into every space she’s in. They know that she’ll never live in Malfoy Manor and that the house will go dormant after they leave when Narcissa passes
They become Head Boy and Girl, and while they’re dealing with a lot of drama with their friends and family, Hogwarts itself just seems calmer
When they graduate, they move in together with Al while the boys do their Auror training
They are key in helping Hugo and Lyla get together and stay together, Rose becomes like an older sister to Lyla
Scorpius and Rose have six kids and get married and have their own little bit of a happily ever after!
Sorry this is so late! I just finally got to the laundromat today!
Please send me names for head canons!

Being a Malfoy means that my family had a status to uphold. We were one of the wealthy Pureblood families and my parents intended on keeping it that way. My younger brother was always the favorite, I tend to challenge my parents more than him. It only got worse when I was sorted into Gryffindor and my brother continued the line with getting into Slytherin.
At first the people in Gryffindor were a little wary of me at first. I was pretty lonely the first few weeks, but the Weasley twins were the first to befriend me. My family hated them, they were blood traitors, but to me they were my friends. I didn’t care what my family said, they were wrong. I had become fond of Fred Weasley and his brother picked up on that. So as a joke he slipped me some love potion in a candy and left me alone with Fred. I was so mad at him at first, but then Fred admitted that he was quite fond of me as well. I remember it like it was yesterday.
“I’m going to kill George!” I growled.
“You have to admit it was pretty funny.” Fred said and I turned to him with a glare.
“Sorry, but something good came out of it.” He said with a smile. I looked at him confused. Fred got up and towered over me, I looked up and his smile turned into a smirk.
“The girl I fancy, fancys me back.” He said and I blushed.
“W-What?” I stuttered.
“Are you nervous, Malfoy?” He asked, his smirk growing.
“I don’t get nervous.” I said, my natural confidence returning.
“Sure you don’t.” He chuckled.
“So what’d say Malfoy? Care to go on a date?” He asked with a smile.
“It’s a date Weasley.” I said with a smile.
That was the start of it. My brother had found out when he saw us kissing at Hogsmeade. I tried to get him not to tell our parents, but in the end he told them. They were furious to say the least. I thought they were going to disown me, but it seems they weren’t going to. I didn’t want to go home to find out.
When Christmas came around Fred had offered me to join him and his family. I was a little worried about meeting his family, I knew they weren’t the biggest fans of my family.
“Are you sure they’ll be alright with me joining?” I asked, biting my lip.
“I promise, everything will be fine. I know you don’t want to go home.” He said, pulling me close to him.
“I really don't want to be a bother.” I said with a sigh.
“You won’t be.” He said and kissed my head. I looked up at him and his smile was infectious.
“There's that smile I love so much.” He said.
“If you’re sure, then I would love to meet your family.” I said and his smile grew. He lifted me up and spun me around.
“They’re gonna love you!” He said, causing me to giggle.
We were getting on the train to go home and I saw Draco boarding as well. He pulled me close and looked at me with a raised brow.
“I thought you told Mother and Father that you weren’t coming home?” He asked and I sighed.
“I’m not.” I answered.
“Then where the bloody hell are you going?” He asked confused.
“The Weasley’s, they’ve offered me to join them for the holidays.” I answered and his eyes narrowed.
“They're not your family.” He growled.
“Draco, please don’t do this. That’s Mother and Father’s job.” I said with a sigh.
“They’re right, you’re dating a blood traitor!” He growled and I narrowed my eyes.
“Don’t you dare talk bad about Fred. This is the exact reason I don’t want to go home.” I said and his eyes widened slightly.
“Now if you excuse me, I need to go meet up with Fred.” I said and turned on my heel. I found Fred sitting with George and I smiled at the two joking around. I walked into the compartment and the boys smiled at me. Fred took my bag and placed it up top next to theirs.
“I thought you got lost.” He laughed as he pulled me to sit next to him.
“No, sorry, I ran into my brother.” I said with a sigh.
“Everything alright?” He asked and I nodded.
“Yes, he was just being his usual self.” I answered.
“You should try out our new product, Canary Creams.” George said with a smirk.
“Sure, why not.” I shrugged. I took the biscuit and popped it in my mouth. It tasted delicious, but knowing the twins something was bound to happen. Suddenly I transfigured into a large canary. I was shocked when I heard the chirps come from my mouth. A minute later all the feathers I had fell off and I was back to normal.
“Wicked.” They both said and I giggled.
“That was quite an interesting experience.” I said and they smiled.
“Told you it would work!” George said.
“Yeah, yeah.” Fred laughed and placed his arm around me.
The train ride went quickly thanks to the twins. I also wasn’t thinking of my family as much as I thought I would. Fred and George were really a great dIstraction. However, when the train stopped I felt my nerves hit me all at once. I couldn’t help but worry that his family might not like me as much as Fred would like.
“You alright?” Fred asked when he noticed I didn’t move.
“Oh, yes, sorry.” I said and grabbed my bag.
“Hey, don’t worry so much.” He said, wrapping his arm around me.
“I know, I just can’t help it. They don’t like my family after all.” I said and he kissed the side of my head.
“Hush, everything will be fine.” He said and we met up with the rest of his family, Harry, and Hermione. We arrived at the Weasley residents and his parents greeted everyone with hugs and kisses.
“Mum, Dad, this is Y/N.” Fred introduced me. I offered my hand to them.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you both, Fred has told me so much about you.” I said. Mrs. Weasley ignored my hand and pulled me into a hug, which shocked me.
“It’s lovely to meet you dear.” She said and pulled away with a smile.
“Fred has told us all about you too.” Mr. Weasley said, also giving me a hug. I smiled at Fred and he returned it.
“Your home is lovely Mr. and Mrs. Weasley.” I complimented.
“Oh please, call me Molly.” Mrs. Weasley said.
“And you can call me Arthur.” Mr. Weasley said. I was taught that it was rude to call your elders by their first names.
“My apologies. I was taught that it was rude.” I said and they looked at me confused.
“Don’t be silly.” Mrs. Weasley said with a warm smile.
“Mum! Ron is trying to eat the pies!” Ginny called.
“Ronald Weasley!” Mrs. Weasley shouted and walked off to the kitchen with her husband following.
“Well that was a little awkward.” I giggled.
“No it wasn’t, that went well!” Fred said and I looked at him shocked.
“That was well?” I asked.
“Of course, what’s well to you?” He asked confused.
“Well I think I was a bit rude.” I said and he laughed.
“You were very diplomatic.” He said and I blushed.
“Sorry, my parents drilled that into us as children.” I said.
“Well here you can let go of all that.” He said, pulling me to the stairs.
“You’re gonna room with Ginny and Hermione.” He said and I nodded with a smile.
“We’ll show you the way.” Fred and George said with a bow. I laughed at them and shook my head. The took me to Ginny’s room and showed me which bed I would be sleeping in. This house was very different to mine, it actually felt like a home. I was unpacking my bag when I heard Mrs. Weasley shouting at the twins. Even at home they’re getting into trouble. They ran into the room and were laughing their heads off.
“What did you two do?” I asked, crossing my arms.
“We got Ron to eat one of the Nosebleed Nougat and the blood went everywhere!” They laughed. I shook my head, but smiled.
“Your Mother is going to kill you two.” I said and they smirked.
“She’d never.” They said.
“If you say so.” I giggled.
A few hours went by and I got to experience something completely different to my home life. The apmasphere was a lot lighter than what I was used to, their family was a lot closer than mine was, and it just felt nice to be somewhere that didn’t have so much negative energy. Now we were sitting down for dinner and everyone was sitting close together. If I was home Mother and Father would be on opposite ends of a large table and my brother would be sitting across from me. The house elf would be serving us dinner and we would be eating in silance. But here, everyone was talking to each other and genuinely interested in what was going on in their lives.
“So Y/N what do you Malfoys usually do for the holidays?” Ron asked.
“Ronald!” Mrs. Weasley scolded and Fred smacked him in the head with a glare.
“Ow!” Ron said, rubbing his head.
“It’s alright. My family is quite the opposite to all this honestly. We’re usually quiet while eating together, maybe an occasional question about school or comments about parties we attended or upcoming parties, but other than that it’s just silence.” I said and they all looked confused.
“That’s it?” Ron asked, again Fred jabbed him.
“Ow!” He hissed.
“Yes, but I think I much prefer a setting like this.” I said with a smile. Fred smiled and placed his hand over mind.
“Well, you’re always welcome here.” Mrs. Weasley said with a kind smile.
“Thank you, Mrs. Weasley.” I said.
“Molly.” She corrected.
“Thank you, Molly.” I said, felling a bit uncomfortable going against what I was taught. But I had a feeling that was just the start, especially if Fred was going to be in my life for a long time.

I Never Planned On You 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AN: Chapter 1!!! I plan for this series to go all the way to Deathly Hallows and probably a few years after in an epilogue, so I have A LOT of things planned!
Kendra Black didn’t have a conventional childhood. She was just a child when her mother was killed and her father taken away. Imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit.
Her entire life was met with scrutiny. Being a Black didn’t come with the best reputation. A family full of pure bloods who would do anything to keep their bloodline pure.
Kendra thought it was the old generation but her generation was kinder, more accepting. With the exception of an occasional Malfoy.
She was sent to live with her aunt Narcissa and her cousin Draco. But the second Remus Lupin, her dad’s best friend from Hogwarts, caught wind of the news he informed Andromeda. She was quite aggressive with making sure Kendra went to a good home that wasn’t filled with her family’s blood supremacy motto.
It was the first time Andromeda and Narcissa spoke since Andromeda was cast out of the family.
Kendra was always meant for greatness. That’s the one thing she remembered about her father. He’d make sure to tell her that she was going to do amazing things. And blood purity wouldn’t change that.
Her first four years at Hogwarts were filled with two things: teasing and mocking for being the daughter of a convicted killer and keeping an eye on Harry when he arrived.
Remus made sure Kendra knew the stakes if any of the Dark Lord’s followers or sympathizers knew of Harry’s enrollment at Hogwarts.
She often thought back to the first time she met Harry. It was the first quidditch match of the term and she could tell he was beyond terrified. She did the best to ease his nerves but she was her father’s daughter after all.
Kendra found herself at the Leaky Cauldron the day she was set to go back to Hogwarts. She descended the staircase and noticed the Weasley’s plus Harry and Hermione.
“Kendra Black! Wonderful to see you again my dear!” Mrs. Weasley greeted the young girl. “Hello, Mrs. Weasley.” Kendra smiled at her. “Have you got all of your things? Extra robes, all of your textbooks?” She questioned. “Yes, they’re all in my trunk. Even a few extra in case I want to get head start on lessons.” Kendra said.
“Good girl, now go get some breakfast in you! You’ll need it for the train ride.” Mrs. Weasley instructed her.
Kendra happily obliged, knowing not to disobey Molly Weasley’s orders. She walked over to the long table and sat in between Fred and George Weasley.
“Hello, Weasley’s. How was Egypt?” She asked. “Ask Ron, he’s been going on and on about it. Telling every bloody person he’s seen.” Fred answered.
Kendra laughed lightly as she grabbed the paper from George’s hands and went to look at the picture. “Have you not seen the paper yet?” He asked. “No. I’ve been in America with Andromeda and Ted. I got back a couple days ago.” Kendra answered.
“Why?” She asked. “Take a look at the front page.” Fred said. Kendra furrowed her eyebrows and flipped over the newspaper and her face fell.
Fred and George saw the girl grow white as a sheet against her dark hair. Her father’s mugshot adorned the front page of the Daily Prophet.
“Escaped?” She questioned out loud. “I’m sorry, Kendra. Where do you think he’ll go?” George added. “I have no idea.” She answered quietly.
But she knew of her father’s plans. And she knew he was going to be coming to Hogwarts.
“Let’s not worry about my father. We’re starting our fifth year, we’ve come so far!” Kendra said, quickly changing the subject. “Considering you hated us first year.” Fred commented. “I did not hate you! You just weren’t my two favorite people that’s all.” She rebutted.
“Well, now you love us. Couldn’t survive a day without our charm.” George added. “In your dreams, Weasley.” Kendra teased. “You show up there quite often, Black.” The youngest twin teased back.
The dynamic between Kendra and George Weasley was quite complicated. At first, it was clearly just innocent teasing but once puberty became a factor, the tone became less innocent. It became murky what the meaning and intent behind the otherwise innocent teasing was. Kendra didn’t know how George felt but to her it was very confusing.
The rest of the Weasley clan plus their three strays, made their way to King’s Cross Station to board the Hogwarts Express. It was customary, almost tradition, for Kendra to sit with the twins and their other friends Lee Jordan and Angelina Johnson.
Kendra didn’t have many friends but they were the small few who didn’t see her for her last name. House Black had a very grim reputation and most students couldn’t see past the rumors and its unfortunate history.
“Kendra! I can’t believe your father escaped Azkaban! He’s the first to ever do it!” Lee commented as the five got comfortable. George nudged Lee at his comment, not wanting Kendra to feel uncomfortable. “Well, us Blacks are quite ambitious.” She said with a breathy laugh.
“I’m sure he’s nowhere near Hogwarts. You’ve got nothing to worry about.” Angelina said, trying her best to make her friend feel at ease. But it was hard to feel at ease when Kendra knew of her father’s plans. Well at least she thought she did. She hadn’t seen her father since she was all but two years old. A lot can change in 12 years, people can change.
Kendra was afraid she would see her father and not recognize the man. George could sense something was wrong with the girl by the way she looked out the window. Her eyes moved with the rain drops that slide down the window of the train, head clearly anywhere but with them.
“Are you alright, Kendra?” George whispered to her. Kendra looked at the redhead but was unable to speak when the train came to a grinding halt, the lights flickering. “What was that?” Angelina asked. “Maybe it was a malfunction.” Lee answered.
The lights went out completely and the whole compartment became increasingly cold, the windows frosting. To them, nothing was going on but the windows getting cold and the lights going out. But to Harry Potter, he experienced something else. And it wasn’t long until words made its way to the cabin of five.
“Did you hear? Dementors were on board, Potter fainted. Apparently, they were looking for Sirius Black.” A second year told them. Kendra’s face fell before she stood. “I’ll be right back.” She announced. “Where are you going?” Fred asked. “Going to make sure Harry’s okay.” She answered, as if it were the most normal occurrence in the world.
Kendra made her way down the narrow passage to where she knew the trio would be sat. She noticed the compartment door open and peaked her head inside. “Harry, are you alright? Word travels fast.” She questioned.
Harry always found it quite strange that Kendra was always so worried about his well being and if he was okay. He asked her about it once and all she said was that she knew his mother and father. They were nice to her and she wanted to make sure that Harry would be out of harm's way.
“Yes, I’m okay. Just fainted is all.” Harry answered. Kendra’s glance moved from Harry to the man sitting next to him. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay. We should be arriving at Hogwarts soon.” The girl said before making her exit.
She waited outside for a moment until Remus exited the compartment. “They think he’s coming to Hogwarts, don’t they?” She asked the man. “They have suspicion. His daughter and godson both in attendance. It wouldn’t be that far off.” Remus answered. “Do you think he will?” Kendra questioned.
“After your mother died, you were all he had. He’ll want to see you, innocent or not. The Ministry knows that.” The man answered. “And we can’t tell Harry?” She further questioned. “Tell him what?” Remus retorted. “The truth. That my father did not kill his parents.” Kendra answered. “He already knows that I knew Lily and James, he’s going to start asking questions.” She added. “And you will say you knew them through Andromeda and Ted. We cannot shift suspicion on to you, Kendra. Your father will not want you getting hurt.” Remus said.
“Now, I’m going to have a word with the driver. Make sure we do not stop for anymore Dementors.” He added before walking away. Kendra huffed before walking back in the opposite direction.
“Oi, Black! Heard your lunatic, blood traitor of a father escaped prison.” A voice called. The way Kendra could describe Draco Malfoy’s voice was like nails on a chalkboard.
And that was after his voice dropped. Living with the Malfoy’s for about a year made her hatred for youngest Malfoy grow even more.
“What’s it to you, Malfoy? I thought we were done with the whole ‘we’re family, let’s be civil’ thing?” Kendra questioned. “Aw come on, Kendra. There’s still time to accept your family.” Draco said. “I’d rather die than be a part of a legacy filled with hatred and ignorance.” She sneered before pushing past him roughly.
Kendra despised Draco Malfoy more than the entirety of Hogwarts. But the problem was she has also seen the way he was treated at home. Lucius Malfoy was the cause of Draco’s most loathed qualities. He was trapped in a family that didn’t see anything other than blood purity and that was ingrained in his head long before he started at Hogwarts.
And an ideology like that was very difficult to get rid of.
Kendra arrived back at the compartment with her friends and sat down with a huff. “Uh oh, someone does not look happy.” Fred said. “Just my usual run in with Malfoy.” Kendra said. “How you’re related to him is still a mystery to me.” Angelina said.
“I’d say the only relation is the family tree.” Kendra added. “Thank Merlin for Andromeda Black for falling in love with a muggle born.” George joked. Kendra sent him a grateful smile, as he was always able to make her feel better after any and all rough interactions.
The train stopped at the Hogwarts station and they quickly climbed in the carriages to make their way up to the castle.
Kendra thought of Hogwarts as more of a home than her actual home. She of course loved Andromeda and Ted for giving her the best life given the circumstances. But she felt a sense of comfort being at Hogwarts. It was her safe place.
All anyone could talk about, however, was the fact that Sirius Black was on the loose. She couldn’t blame them though. No one knew the truth, even Harry didn’t know so she felt she couldn't be upset with anyone.
She sat down at Gryffindor table in the Great Hall, making light conversation with her fellow housemates, as the choir gave their annual performance.
“How are you really feeling about the news of your father, Kendra?” George asked her quietly. “Honestly?” She questioned. George nodded his head with a soft smile before she answered.
“It feels strange. The staring has gotten worse but nothing I can’t handle.” She said. Their conversation was cut short by applause and Dumbledore beginning his usual start of term speech.
“Welcome! Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. Now, I’d like to say a few words before we all become too befuddled by our excellent feast. First, I’m pleased to welcome Professor R.J. Lupin who’s kindly consented to fill the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher,” Dumbledore started.
Kendra overheard Hermione and Harry discussing their own interaction with Remus in regards to the Dementor attack. She wondered why Remus really took the position. Was it to protect both her and Harry? Or just Harry?
“Our Care of Magical Creatures professor has decided to retire in order to spend more time with his remaining limbs. Fortunately, I'm delighted to announce that his place will be taken by none other than our own Rubeus Hagrid,” He continued.
Hagrid was always a favorite of Kendra’s. Mainly because he knew how it felt to get rumors spread about you that were so far from the truth.
“Finally, on a more disquieting note at the request of the Ministry of Magic, Hogwarts will, until further notice, play host to the dementors of Azkaban until such a time as Sirius Black is captured,” The older man said.
Kendra physically and noticeably stiffened at the grand announcement of her father’s escape. She felt the eyes of everyone on her, teachers included. She just wished she could apparate away and never be seen again.
“The dementors will be stationed at every entrance to the grounds. Now whilst I've been assured that their presence will not disrupt our day-to-day activities.” Dumbledore continued.
“A word of caution. Dementors are vicious creatures. They'll not distinguish between the one they hunt and the one who gets in their way. Therefore, I must warn each and every one of you to give them no reason to harm you. It is not in the nature of a dementor to be forgiving. Given the circumstances of Sirius Black’s own child here at Hogwarts, there will be no hexing or jinxing of any kind tolerated until he is apprehended. But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.” He finished before the feast commenced.
Kendra could hear the whispers from not only the other houses but those of her own housemates. It made her wish that Dumbledore wouldn’t have mentioned her in the first place. She could take care of herself and she doesn’t want to be seen as weak to anyone.
“I love being the center of attention but this is not what I had in mind.” Kendra muttered. “Ignore them. Like you said this is our fifth year, we’ve come so far let’s not impede our progress now.” George told her.
Kendra smiled at him before they continued with the feast.
When they had finished their food, some having bigger portions than others, Kendra and the twins made their way back to the Gryffindor common room. Of course the Fat Lady was more concerned about her voice than letting the students in but that was common at that point.
Kendra made it to her dorm, the one she shared with Angelina, Alicia and Katie and began unpacking her things.
“What do we all think about the Ministry sending Dementors to school?” Alicia asked. “I think it’s a terrible idea. What are our parents going to think?” Angelina answered. “I think it’s not safe. Especially for you, Kendra. They know you’re his daughter, what if they hurt you?” Katie questioned her friend.
“I hope they don’t. I didn’t do anything and I definitely do not know my father’s whereabouts. Though the entire school seems to think so.” Kendra answered. “We don’t think so. Your friends wouldn’t think that.” Angelina added. “I was hoping this was going to be a good term but with all of this going on, I can’t help but get the feeling something bad was going to happen.” Kendra muttered.
Of course her friends wished they could help her but given her situation, it was very difficult to make her feel any better.
Later that evening, Kendra was sitting next to George on the couch while Fred sat on the floor facing them. It was like any other evening with the Weasley twins despite their usual need to get into or cause trouble.
“Kendra, Professor Dumbledore would like to have a word with you.” Percy said entering the room. “Why?” She questioned. “He didn’t say. He just told me to send for you.” Percy answered. “Oooo Kendra’s in trouble.” Fred teased. “How can I be in trouble on the first night?” She asked. “You have a knack for getting into trouble, darling. Why do you think we’re such good friends?” George added.
Kendra rolled her eyes and exited the common room towards Dumbledore’s office.
It wasn’t every day you were summoned to the headmaster’s office but she had no doubt it had to do with her father.
She had only been to Dumbledore’s office once before and yet it was still just as magnificent as the last. She stepped inside carefully, not wanting to disturb any of the artifacts that were inside.
“You wished to see me, Professor?” Kendra asked. “Ah, yes, Ms. Black. I sincerely hope you do not take what I’m about to ask personally, but do you know of your father’s whereabouts?” Dumbledore questioned.
“With all due respect, Professor, I only found out about my father’s escape this morning. I don’t know anything about where my father is or how he escaped.” Kendra answered. “I figured as much. The Ministry has been very interested in your knowledge of his escape. I will write to the Minister and tell him there is no reason for his suspicion.” The man said.
“Thank you, Professor.” Kendra smiled at him. “Now, get some rest. I have taken a peek at our classes this term and you will need the sleep.” He instructed. “Yes, I suppose you’re right. Goodnight, sir.” She said. “Goodnight, Ms. Black.” Dumbledore replied.
Kendra walked down the corridor back towards the Gryffindor common room, her mind reeling with thoughts and theories.
The Ministry thought she was behind her father’s escape? Now the teachers find her suspicious? If it wasn’t bad enough that her peers whispered about her in the halls, now so will her teachers.
She sighed as she slowly approached the portrait and sighed. She was already fearing that this was going to be a very long year.

I Love You Pt. 3
Pairing: Draco x Gryffindor!Reader, Harry Potter x Gryffindor!Reader
Summary: Y/n and the trio head to the burrow for Christmas.
Warnings: cussing?, it’s kinda long
Tumblr media
It was the morning of Christmas Eve and Y/n was making sure she had everything. There was a knock at the door.
“Come in.” Y/n said. The door opened and she looked up to see the trio. She smiled at them.
“Hey.” She said.
“Hey, you ready to go?” Harry asked. Y/n nodded.
“Yeah, I’m ready.” Y/n replied as she stood up. They all grabbed their things and started to make their way to the train station.
Once they got there they all got in to the train and claimed a compartment. They put their stuff above them and took their seats.
Y/n looked excited as she sat down.
“Could you be any happier?” Ron asked with a chuckle.
“Sorry I just haven’t had a real Christmas in a while.” Y/n said.
“What do you mean?” Hermione asked.
“It’s just, my parents always made me stay in my room, or at Hogwarts. I’d only ever get presents from Cedric.” Y/n admitted.
“Well that’s not going to be your Christmas anymore.” Harry said taking Y/n’s hand in his own. They smiled at each other before taking there hands back.
——————
The group of kids were about to walk into the burrow. Y/n took a deep breath and followed Ron, Harry, and Hermione in.
A middle aged women with ginger hair came out from the kitchen as Y/n closed the door.
“Oh my children, how wonderful it is to see you.” Molly said making her way over. She hugged Ron, than Harry, than Hermione. Mrs. Weasley than turned over to Y/n.
“And you must be Y/n Diggory.” She said walking over.
“Yes I am.” Y/n said as Mrs. Weasley hugged her.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Weasley.” Y/n said.
“Common, let’s get away from the cold door.” Mrs. Weasley said. The all walked into the living room. Y/n had recognized Fred and George. Percy must have not come because he wasn’t there.
“Who’s this?” One of the gingers boys said sitting on the couch.
“Oh, Y/n these are my brothers Bill and Charlie. Bill, Charlie this is Y/n.” Ron introduced.
“Nice to meet you.” Y/n said with a smile.
“Nice to meet you too.” Bill said.
Y/n sat down and got comfortable with Harry on the couch. He sat cris cross on the couch and Y/n laid her head in his lap.
Harry played with her hair as the group talked. That’s when there was a knock on the door. Molly came out of the kitchen and opened the door.
“Oh, I’m glad you could make it.” She said moving so the person could come in. The person stepped in and it was Sirius.
Y/n sat up so Harry could run up and greet him. And that’s what he did. Y/n chuckled at the sight of Harry and Sirius hugging each other.
The last time Y/n talked to Sirius was last year during the full moon. So she don’t know much about him, but she can tell he cared for Harry.
——————
It was now after dinner and Mrs. Weasley was baking cookies for everyone with the help of Y/n. Despite Mrs. Weasley’s protests.
Y/n was rolling out the dough and Mrs. Weasley was looking for the cookie cutters. That’s when Ginny came in.
“Hey, Y/n, I heard what happened. Are you alright?” She asked.
Y/n smiled. Ginny was very caring of her friends, and that included Y/n. She could tell Ginny was concerned for her.
“Yeah, I’m doing fine, thank you.” Y/n said. Ginny nodded.
“Ok, just know I’m here.” Ginny said before leaving.
“What happened?” Mrs. Weasley asked.
“Oh, uh. I went through a break up last week.” Y/n said leaving out about the part of her parents, as Mrs. Weasley already knew.
“Oh, I’m sorry to here that deary. If you don’t mind me asking, who was it?” She asked.
Y/n stayed quiet for a moment, not know how she’d react to who it was.
“Draco Malfoy.” Y/n answered.
“Draco Malfoy!?” Mrs. Weasley asked shocked.
“Yeah. Unfortunately.” Y/n replied as she looked over at Harry talking to Sirius on the couch.
“At first he seemed different. He really made me think that he wasn’t what everybody said he was. Thank god I fell out of love with him.” Y/n said.
“God was I stupid.” Y/n added.
“Oh deary.” Mrs. Weasley said as she turned around. She put the cookie cutters on the counter and grabbed Y/n’s face and made her look at her.
“You weren’t stupid. Sometimes people just let the wrong ones into their hearts. It happens to the best of us. Mistakes are always going to happen, and they can even lead us tot he right ones.” Mrs. Weasley said.
“Thank you Mrs. Weasley.” Y/n said.
“Oh call me Molly.” Molly said. Y/n nodded as Molly let go of her face and turned back to the cookie cutters. They both grabbed one.
Y/n grabbed a cookie cutter and pressed it down, as Y/n took the shape out, and put it on the Pan she looked at Harry again. A smile tugged at her lips and she didn’t know why.
Molly had looked up as she put a shape on the pan and noticed Y/n. She smiled knowingly as she went to make another one.
“You know. Sometimes people fall out of love not only because of problems, but, because there falling in love with someone else.” Molly said.
Y/n looked over to Molly confused but than it hit her.
“Oh no.” Y/n said nervously as she chuckled shakily.
“Harry and I are just friends.” Y/n said.
“Mm, I’m sure you are.” Molly said like she didn’t believe her. Y/n not really knowing why, blushed and looked down.
——————
Harry sat at the edge of the couch, with Sirius to his left, and Ron on a different couch in front of him but a little to the right.
Harry looked into the kitchen and watched as Molly and Y/n made cookie dough.
“I don’t know what she ever saw in Draco.” Harry said.
“Bloody hell thank god I’m not the only one.” Ron said.
“The boy is a bloody twat and he hurt her over and over again. She didn’t deserve it. She didn’t deserve any of it. I’m glad she ended it with that bloody twat.” Harry said.
“Right. I hope she’s doing alright.” Ron said.
“Me too. She’s amazing and she deserves better than Draco. I can’t wait for her to get over him and realize her worth.” Harry said.
“Ron come here.” Ginny called.
“I’ll be right back.” Ron said as he got up and left.
Harry looked back at Y/n and saw her finishing up the dough.
“What’s with this Draco boy?” Sirius asked.
Harry looked away and over to Sirius. Harry explained the situation beginning from when Harry saw her that night.
Harry looked back at Y/n, and she started to roll out the dough.
“She’s so much better than him, I don’t know why she stooped so low.” Harry said.
“You like her.” Sirius stated. “Dare I even say love.” Sirius added. Harry looked at Sirius shocked.
“W-what no, we’re just friends.” Harry said.
“Sure you are.” Sirius said.
“No really.” Harry insisted shakily.
“Harry it’s bloody obvious. Or at least to me. I’ve always had a knack of being able to tell when the Potter boys are crushing.” Sirius said with a smile.
“She just went through a break up-.” “Which makes it better for you.” Sirius said.
Harry sighed as he looked up at her. He noticed Molly had cupped Y/n’s face and was saying something.
Once Molly let go Y/n started to turn his head and Harry moved his before she could see. Harry blushed as he looked away.
“Oh we’re just friends.” Sirius mocked jokingly.
———————
It was now time for presents. All the kids sat in a circle on the floor. Everyone took their turns opening and last was Y/n.
She smiled happily as they gave her gifts. Not in a greedy way, she smiled because she had actually gotten something, and was actually having a Christmas.
There were two people left to give Y/n gifts. Molly and Harry. Molly pulled out a present and handed it to her.
Y/n quickly opened it and noticed it was a famous Weasley sweater. Y/n obviously never had one before but she saw Ron and the twins wearing them. And she loved them. It had ‘W’ on it though, and not her initial.
Y/n didn’t care though. She loved it very much.
“I put a ‘W’ on it because I heard what your parents said. And I want you to know you are are welcome here. And related or not, you are a Weasley now.” Molly said.
Y/n had to hold back the tears as she looked that the sweater.
“Thank you so much.” Y/n said.
“Oh, no problem deary.” Molly said warmly.
Last was Harry. He pulled out his gift and handed it to her. Y/n unwrapped it and saw it was a jewelry box. She opened it and her jaw dropped at the necklace inside.
It was a beautiful silver necklace with a small stag on it.
“I got the stag because I just wanted you to have something that would always remind you that you best friend is always there.” Harry said.
Y/n smiled and jumped into his arms. She hugged him and he hugged her back.
“It’s beautiful, I love it.” She said before she pulled away.
“Can you put it on me?” Y/n asked.
“U-Uh yeah.” Harry answered. Y/n gave him the necklace and sat in front of him. Harry put the necklace on her.
After that Y/n reached over and put the sweater Molly made her on. She pulled the necklace and her hair over the sweater and smiled.
“So how was your first Christmas?” Ginny asked.
“This was really amazing. Thank you guys.” Y/n said as she leaned back into Harry’s chest. Harry wrapped his arms around her and laid his head on top of hers.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it.” Molly and Arthur said.
The rest of the night was full of festivities and traditions, and by the end of the night, Y/n couldn’t have been happier.
Christmas at the burrow was just what she needed. However there was only one problem.
She couldn’t look at her best friend without blushing.

Weasley vs Weasley Pt. I (Draco Malfoy x fem!Reader) [Tumblr Remaster]
Blood Status:  Half-Blood or Pureblood
House: Gryffindor
Word Count: 2.6k
A/N:  Weasley vs. Weasley was a series of imagines I originally posted on my Wattpad.  It’s one of my favorite series of imagines I’ve made, but I wrote it years ago; I wanted to make an updated version with a few new twists and in second person instead of third.  I’ll be releasing it in multiple parts :)  Enjoy!
You are the Molly and Arthur Weasley’s adopted daughter and in the same year as Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
Not proofread, it’s 1:30am when I’m writing this!  Woohoo! Enjoy!
----
The compartment sways gently side to side as the Hogwarts Express barrels down the Scottish countryside train rack.  You sit silently in the train car scrunched in between Harry and the wall. Ron and Hermione sit across from you.  Hermione, of course, has her nose in a book while Ron sits awkwardly, thinking of how to make conversation since the initial excitement of getting on the train has worn off.  As you feel the train turn the corner, the twins knock gently on the glass of the door and slide it open, giving everyone a wave while shoving themselves in between Hermione and Ron.  Ron lets out an audible grumble as Fred pushes his brother into the window.
“Hello, everyone,” Fred and George say in unison.
“Lee’s off trying to persuade some second years to be our test subjects for some prototype sweets,” Fred says, smirking.
“Yeah, our initial line was brilliant, but we’re expanding our offerings. It’s what the student body deserves,” George adds on.
“We’re also thinking of firecrackers,” Fred continues.  “We’ll charm them to make shapes.  Maybe a Chinese Fireball?  What do you say, y/n?”
“That sounds brilliant, Freddie.  You should write it down before you forget,” you smile, knowing their products have been a much-anticipated aspect of their lives lately.  “You wouldn’t want to deprive the public of some much-needed mayhem causing items.”
“While we love mayhem, we’re also thinking of selling some seriously useful items.  We’re thinking of importing some items from Peru that will help with being sneaky.  Maybe also some muggle magic that people can use casually.  We also want to be practical.  Not everything will explode,” George smiles, thinking of how all their products and dreams will be soon realized.
“But wouldn’t that be brilliant if everything did explode?” Fred laughs. “Also love potions will be sold at our shops.”
“Did I hear someone say love potions?” Ginny says, poking her head in through the door.  “Is that one of the products you two are cooking up?”
“Well, dear sister, we’re not brewing them.  We’ll buy them from someone who’s gotten into N.E.W.T. level potions unlike us two,” Fred chuckles.  “We don’t want to be liable for disastrous love potions because I’m sure they’ll be popular.”
“Our sisters won’t need them, though.  It’s for the more desperate general public.  They’ll have no problem finding a special someone,” George says encouragingly, shooting his two younger sisters a smile. With his words, your chest tenses, the someone you’d like to have as your special someone coming to mind. Fred and George notice your reaction immediately. They look over to you and notices how you’re clutching the hem of your jacket roughly.
“What’s with that reaction, y/n?” Ron asks, picking up on what the twins are noticing.  Internally, your nerves jump. Hopefully they can’t tell who you’re thinking of.
“Nothing, Ronald,” you say almost too quickly. “I was just thinking of a dream I had about school the other night.  I failed all my O.W.L.s.  I’m just suffering from residual anxiety.”
“I find that hard to believe, y/n,” Fred smiles.  “You don’t have stress dreams like that and you suddenly got tense when we started talking about love and special someones.”
“Do you have someone you’re hiding?” George asks, leaning in to look you in the eye with Fred.  They bore into your eyes, inquisitive and intense.
“... or got anyone you fancy?” they say in synchronicity. “Come on… Tell us.”
Hermione and Harry look up from what they were doing, now completely invested in the new development.
“N-no…,” you trail off.  “I don’t think that’s a good idea.  You’d think badly of me.”
“We could never,” Ron butts in.  They all lean closer to you, putting on the peer pressure. Fred and George suddenly tackle you, starting to clobber and tickle you.  Hedwig and Pigwidgeon both hoot in protest at the sudden disturbance to their mostly peaceful journey.  You struggle against the twins’ grips.
“Fred!  George!  Come on!” you shout protest, half laughing.  You try to dash between them, but they’re too fast and lock you between them in a tight full-body hold.  You squirm in their grasp but to no avail.  “Fred.  George.  Let go.  Please?”
“Not until you tell us,” they say in a sing-songy voice. You sigh.  This is what you get when you have so many siblings: inescapable, coercive hugs.
“You’ll regret asking once I tell you,” you say.  They shake their heads.
“Not a chance,” they say back.
“It’s…,” you start, hesitating.  This’ll ruin you. You open your mouth and whisper, “it’s… Malfoy...”
“DID YOU JUST SAY ‘MALFOY?’” everyone in the compartment gasps in unison as the twins drop you.
“I told you you’d regret it,” you grumble to everyone. “Happy?”
“Not really,” Fred responds cheekily.
“Why?” Ron asks, feeling bewildered and utterly betrayed.
“I-I don’t know… I just know he it’s what he seems. I saw him one time a while ago… His owl was hurt and he was bandaging its foot. He seemed to care for it so much. There have been a lot of little things,” you explain, realizing it’s sort of hopeless as everyone stares at you, disgusted.
“Little things count for nothing,” Ron scoffs, roiling usinehes and propping his head up on a clenched fist
“It just grew. I don’t have a good reason. I’m sure it’ll fade,” you defend, “but I think that in the end, Malfoy may not be as bad as everyone makes him out to be. I’m sure we’d all have turned out like Malfoy if we had Lucius as a father.”
“But everything he stands for is so vile,” Harry says, infuriated. “I can’t believe it…”
“And what about all the stuff he’s done to Hermione?” Ron adds on.
“Come on. Now you’re ridiculing me. You walked into this one,” you quip back. “I didn’t want to say anything, but you absolutely had to know.”
“Dad’s head is going to blow off,” Fred comments, taking a seat once again.
“Percy’s also going to be furious… You know how protective he is over y/n...,” George adds, everyone nodding in agreement. Ginny, flustered, turns around and leaves the compartment in a huff.
“Is it okay if we don’t talk about this again?” you ask shyly. “I’m sure it’ll pass. This Malfoy thing is temporary. It’s stupid.”
Hermione and Harry nod in agreement, but Fred and George notice a look in your eye as you gaze out the window. They know you. They know that you lied just now. It’s not temporary.
~
As soon as it came, autumn went and turned into soft blankets of snow. You smile as you look out of your dorm room in Gryffindor tower, the icicles hanging down in front of the panes of glass. It’s been months since the awkward mishap in the Hogwarts Express. Nobody’s said a word since and things have been normal for the most part, but Ginny hasn’t looked at you the same and you’ve noticed the twins whispering to each other in low voices and suddenly stopping once they notice you. Each time, you’ve shrugged it off, assuming it’s about a prank, but a prank never came.
Today, you head out of Gryffindor tower with plans to go get a book from the library to read at breakfast and then go to Hogsmeade for a butterbeer. After getting dressed, you slip through the portrait hole and head towards the library. As you round the corner on your way, you crash into someone else.
“Oh!” you exclaim. “Sorry. I didn’t- I wasn’t looking where I was going…”
Looking up, you realize you just walked staring into Draco Malfoy, and your throat goes dry with nervousness and embarrassment.
“Uhh… Sorry, Malfoy,” you say lowly, attempting to duck to the side of him and forget that even happened. You weren’t in the mood for a nasty one on one confrontation with Draco Malfoy today.
“Wait!” you hear him say from behind you. You turn around to look at him as he walks closer.
“What are you doing? Are you going to insult me for being a clumsy lowlife?” you ask, your heart sinking. He’d never say anything nice, not in a million years no matter how much you wanted him to. “That’s what my siblings and I are used to.  I wouldn’t be surprised. After all, poor people like us don’t have manners. We weren’t raised right.”
“Is that really what you think of me?” Draco asks a bit too softly, his steely grey eyes looking right into yours. You back up a step, not expecting him to look at you directly and not be shouting in your face. This is new and unexpected, but it’s what you’ve wanted for a long time.
“Well… I’ve come to anticipate it,” you reply honestly.
“That’s too bad,” Draco replies. “I’ve got a lot to learn I guess…”
“What do you mean by that?”
“I’ll tell you if you come to Hogsmeade with me,” Draco smiles. “Will you come with me?”
“Now?” you ask. “I’ven’t had breakfast yet.”
“We can get it there,” he shrugs.
“Why do you want to take me to Hogsmeade?  You’re Draco Malfoy. I’m y/n Weasley.”
“All your questions will be answered there, y/n. I just want to talk to you. Do you trust me?”
Hesitantly, you nod. He holds out his arm and you take it. He leads you down to the courtyard and towards the carriages to Hogsmeade. None of them have left yet, and you both climb into the first one and then you’re off.
You both hop off in the village and go striaight to the Three Broomsticks. Draco holds the door for you and lets you sit down in the booth and get comfortable first. Madam Rosmerta comes and takes your order: two butterbeers and some food for breakfast. He smiles at you from across the table as you take a sip of the mug of butterbeer, thanking him quietly for paying. He clears his throat.
“So…” he smiles.
“So…” you say back. “Will you answer my questions?”
“Of course,” Draco replies. “I got a small note in my bag the other day. I don’t know who it’s from. It just appeared all of a sudden. It just said ‘Tell y/n the truth. Go for it, Malfoy.’ That’s all. You’re probably wondering why that brings us here. Truth is… I’ve liked you for a while now, y/n.  I just needed some encouragement to say something.  I’ve been so caught up with what my father wants for me for the past few years that I forgot to think about what I want to do with my life. I’ve fancied you for a while. I reckon it wasn’t obvious because of how I’ve treated you. I was just so, so obsessed with being like my father and I was confused. I needed to sort out my priorities. I’ve done some thinking lately and it’s time to make a change. That’s why I said ‘I have a lot to learn’ because I do. I just wanted to tell you the truth. I’m done being so unpleasant toward you and your family.”
Your mouth hangs completely wide open. You didn’t expect this. This might even be a dream. Draco Malfoy saying he was confused? And he’s making a change? No. You always thought that Draco would be cold and indifferent towards you for the rest of your years at Hogwarts, you’d graduate and then forget about him, settling for another person, but no. He just confessed to fancying you.
“Y/n? Please say something? I’m going out on a limb here. I’ve never been this vulnerable in my life… I know it’ll take a long time to unlearn my bad habits, and I know that not all people are willing to be that patient with someone, but I’ve known you for years. We’ve been in the same classes. You’re kind and considerate and easygoing with people. You’re compassionate and when you laugh you make me want to smile. I understand if history is against me and it’s alright if you reject me here and now, but… I just wanted to say ‘I’m sorry. Will you give me a chance?’” he pleads, reaching over the table his hand hovering over yours, scared to grab your hand and have you pull away. Still flabbergasted, you look off to the side and see nobody’s come into the Three Broomsticks yet.
“Wow… Draco… I don’t know what to say… This is so sudden,” you gasp. “I’m completely taken aback. I had no idea that you liked me… Nothing you’ve done in the past would have hinted at it. Nothing.”
“You’re right, y/n,” Draco sighs, ready to admit defeat, thinking this is hopeless.
“Are you serious about this? Your confession?” you ask. “ Tell me the truth.”
“Absolutely.” His reply is sound. His eyes look into yours warmly. With remorse. You begin to smile softly at him.
“Okay, Malfoy. I’ll give you a chance,” you decide with a nod.  With your words, Draco explodes with glee, slapping the table with excitement.
“Thank you, y/n!” he blurts out. “You will not regret this.”
“I sure hope I don’t,” you smile. “Now, how about we finish eating and walk around a bit?”
Draco grins like a kid who’s just sneaked five handfuls of cookies from the cupboard and nods, taking a sip from his drink. As you two sit across from each other, you share pleasant conversation, laughing about family and school. You laugh about how you’re both almost complete opposites. He’s a Slytherin; you’re a Gryffindor. You have seven siblings; he has none. You’re adopted; he’s not. You laugh and joke. You share stories from your past and your heart warms, enjoying having someone new to talk to who makes you feel unlike you ever had before.  You can’t remember a day that you smiled this much.
After you’re done in the Three Broomsticks, you both walk around the village, going into Honeydukes and Zonko’s. The day comes to a close and you both agree to do it again sometime. As you both go your separate ways you both fail to notice Fred, George, and Ginny spying on you from around the corner.
“That’s what I call a success,” Fred smirks to his siblings. Ginny scowls in your direction as you disappear down the hallway towards Gryffindor tower.
“I’m glad the note worked. The three months of spying on Malfoy to see if he fancied her was exhausting. We had to use Omnioculars to see him writing in his paper his initials and y/n’s with a heart in his notebook from above,” George sighs, exhausted. He looks over to his sister, whose grumbling to herself under her breath.  “What’s gotten into you, Gin?”
“Why’d you two go to all this trouble for someone so toxic?” Ginny asks.  “This will only end in disaster.  Y/n and Draco Malfoy together can only end in a dumpster fire. He’s not a good influence.”
“You sound like Mum, Ginny,” Fred retorts.  “Y/n seemed to be satisfied with today and that’s enough. I haven’t seen her smile so much in a long time. Last time she smiled like that was when Georgie and my products first arrived.”
“Why are you going to so much trouble for her?” Ginny asks glumly.  “She was perfectly happy before.”
“Well… Georgie and I talked about it.  Y/n’s always felt a little bit alone and in the middle of things.  Even though we love y/n and she loves us, she’s self-conscious about being adopted sometimes. When we’re all together, she can be quiet sometimes.  She gets lonely and doesn’t feel like she belongs even though she completely does.  She’s a Weasley, after all, but she feels like the other Weasley.  We’ve noticed her feeling like that lately and we wanted to make her happy.  Someone she can maybe identify with on a personal level other than us,” Fred explains, careful of his wording.
“What’s there do identify with when it comes to Malfoy?”  Ginny grumbles, refusing to believe that y/n could possbly relate to someone as vile and cruel as Draco Malfoy
“Maybe not identify with.  Maybe just to have around.  Having that other person that you enjoy the company of,”  George adds.
“Why did it have to be Malfoy?”
“Relationships can stem from the most unlikely of places,” George reasons.
“This is trouble, you two.  Y/n doesn’t need him. She has her family.  How can she feel lonely in our family when there’s so many of us.  You’re meddling with y/n’s emotions because you don’t think ahead.  This needs to be fixed,” Ginny decided, turning on her heels while trying to compile her course of action.  The twins look at each other with a worried expression.  What is Ginny thinking of doing?

----
Danica sat in her usual compartment with her brother, Draco and his friends Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy. She had her nose stuck in a book, not contributing to the group's conversation. She pauses every once and awhile to look at the scenery outside the window. Her favorite part about school starting up again was always the train ride there. It was peaceful and always beautiful. Though it would be even better if she didn’t have to listen to Pansy try, and desperately fail, to flirt with her brother. Danica almost felt bad for her, but she knew that Draco had told Pansy multiple times that he just wasn’t interested in her.
Unlike Draco, Danica never had anyone flirting with her. The only time a boy ever asked her out was if someone dared them to. Boys steered clear of her figuring Draco would kill anyone who would even think of getting close to his sister. Draco and her were close, but he never cared what she did. And he definitely wouldn’t care who she dated. If they were in the same house, that is. He’d throw a fit if she got with anyone that wasn’t a Slytherin.
After a while, she finished her book, closing the back cover and sitting it down in her lap. She grabbed Draco’s arm, turning his wrist to check the time. They were still a ways away from Hogwarts, so she decided to stretch her legs a bit and go search for the trolley.
“Going for a snack, anyone want anything?” she asked as she stood, putting the book away in her bag that sat in the overhead compartment and grabbing her small purse. Crabbe and Goyle began listing everything the trolley had. Those boys did love their sweets.
“I can’t carry the whole bloody trolley back.” she quipped.
“You shouldn't have to carry it. The thing has wheels, y’know.” Crabbe responded.
Danica rolled her eyes, “you get one thing.”
She finally got what everyone wanted after a bit of complaining from Crabbe and Goyle about the limitations of only one sweet. Oh the struggle of picking one out of a million when they were all so yummy. She didn’t find their dramatics amusing,  telling them to hurry up or they weren’t getting anything at all. This earned her a slew of mom jokes that she brushed off as usual.
As she walked down the narrow aisle, she hummed softly to herself. She waved at a few familiar faces as she passed compartment after compartment. Stopping for a moment to talk with Daphne, agreeing to meet up when the train stops so they could sit together during dinner. She was halfway through the train now and there was no sign of the nice old lady baring all the sweets.
The train came to a sudden halt causing Danica to stumble a bit dramatically, catching herself on the wall next to her before she fell over. Steady on her feet once again, she shivered at the intense change in temperature. She wrapped her arms around herself, rubbing her arms to create a bit of friction. She sees Harry poke his head out, followed by the rest of the students in other compartments do the same. All curious as to why they had stopped. She could hear Ron from inside the trios compartment.
“I think people are coming on board.”
Who could possibly be coming on board? She wondered.
She felt it before she saw it. A feeling of dread took over her emotions. Compartment doors slammed shut. A wisp of black fog engulfed the hallway she stood in. She looked at the window next to her, frost creeping over the surface until the entire window was covered. She froze in her spot -- due to the almost freezing temperature, but also fear. She let out the breath she was holding, causing steam in front of her. Her eyes shifted upwards, seeing the mere shadow of a face before everything went black.
She felt like she was being lifted off the ground, but she couldn’t move. She heard the distant sound of crying, desperate crying. The whimpering of a name she couldn’t make out. The cries sounded familiar, she just couldn’t put her finger on who it was or what they were saying. She felt sad, but the intense kind. Like her heart was just shattered into a million pieces. Like there was no hope of ever feeling happy again. An ear piercing, heartbreaking scream ran through her bones. Enough to make anyone close cover their ears in a desperate attempt to protect their eardrums.
Within a split second the crying was gone. The scream echoing away. Her heart felt heavy. Her body colder than a glacier. She felt empty.
Her eyes opened slowly, blinking away the blurriness to make out her concerned brother staring down at her. Her chest was heavy, her breathing was shallow. She couldn’t get a good enough breath in to say anything. She felt the warmth of his hand on her face. Her face felt wet. Reaching up to see what it was, only to find clear liquid on the tips of her fingers. She had been crying. Was it herself she heard crying in the darkness? Was she the one screaming as well?
“Merlin Nica, you’re shaking.” Draco rushed to take off his coat, wrapping it around her shoulders as a man who sat crouched next to her helped her sit up.
“What the bloody hell was that?” she gasped out, finally feeling like she could talk again.
“Dementor. They were searching the train for Sirius Black.” the man next to her answered, “you, my dear, got caught in the wrong place, i’m afraid.” He handed her a piece of chocolate, which she gladly accepted, remembering from something she read that chocolate helped ease the side effects of a dementor attack.
Draco helped her stand, tightening his coat around her shivering frame. He led her back to their compartment keeping his arms around her to provide extra warmth. Grumbling about how he was going to write to their father immediately about the event.
“Is everyone else okay?” she asked. Draco gave you a weird look as he sat you down next to Pansy in the compartment. “I heard someone crying and then scream out.”
“Nica, you were the only one crying. No one screamed.”
Danica sat confused, playing over everything in her head. She swore she heard someone screaming. Maybe she was the one she heard. But if she heard it, why didn’t anyone else hear? And if it was in fact her crying and screaming, what was she crying and screaming about?

Chapter Twenty Three
Ron scoured the train for a bit. Half looking for Malfoy, half avoiding going to sit back in the compartment. When he had nothing to do his thoughts became almost unbearable.
However, he must’ve been moving at a very gradual pace, considering the train soon came to halt and he hadn’t even made it halfway through the cars.
Sighing heavily, he began a descent against the crowd to gather his knapsack and trunk from where he had boarded.
Thankfully, the car was empty when he reached it, saving him the task of explaining to Harry and his sister where he had been.
Picking up his things he moved to place them in the ever growing pile of items for transport to the castle.
As he placed his trunk down, he heard a noise. A sickeningly familiar one at that. One he had the pleasure of forgetting over break.
Turning slightly, he saw Lavender giggling about something with Parvati. Panicking slightly, Ron stalked away to find a carriage.
Harry’s mop of messy hair was visible in the crowd as he climbed into one. Moving quickly, Ron went to join him inside.
“Oh there you are mate.” Harry said as his friend sat down.
“Yeah, sorry, prefect business and all. Patrols.” He lied after seeing the look of concern on Ginny’s face.
“All good.” His friend said with a nod, but eyeing Ron suspiciously.
“What’s got you looking all flushed?” His sister piped up, unable to control herself.
Weasley had half the heart to spill everything he was thinking about Malfoy, but knew he couldn’t for two reasons. One, Ginny didn’t know Harry suspected him as a Death Eater in the first place. Two, Ron wanted to take the Hermione approach of things. He needed solid evidence he had to do with this whole thing before jumping and only fueling Harry’s obsession further.
“Uh, well, I saw Lavender.” He settled for. It was half true anyway.
The pair cringed.
“She didn’t see me though.” Ron added.
“So, how are you gonna, you know, deal with that?” Harry asked uncomfortably.
Ron shrugged. Lavender was certainly the least of his worries. As far as he was concerned things were over between them, they had been for a while. And as terrible as it sounds, he just doesn’t have the heart to explain that to her again. He was too dead set on other things.
“I reckon I’ll avoid her. I did it before holiday. I told her things were over. There’s not much else I can do, I just hope she gets the hint.”
Ginny scoffed, “not likely. She’s kind of obsessed with you.”
The ginger rolled his eyes, “well, I’m kind of obsessed with other things at the moment. Too much so to entertain her obsession with me.” He said a little fed up with the topic. Though, some part of it felt nice to talk about something less than life or death situations.
Suddenly feeling a little bad, Ginny nodded, “we should come up with some kind of word.” She said leaning forward.
“For?” Harry asked, confused.
She rolled her eyes dramatically, “you know, whenever Lavender’s coming of course! Something to warn Ron. No offense, but I think if you’re stuck in the same room with her you may lose your temper. It’s been a bit short as of late.” Ginny mumbled the last sentence.
Ignoring the last part, he spoke, “alright what word?” Ron questioned.
“How about ‘droobles’?” Harry suggested.
Ginny shook her head, “no, knowing Ron that word probably comes up like once a day.” She said with a small laugh.
Surprisingly, the pair of boys chuckled too. The first time in weeks.
The youngest Weasley beamed at the sound, “okay, what about ‘squid’?”
“Squid?” Ron asked.
“Yeah, she’s all tentacles, latching onto you. Plus, squid and giant squid are two different words. You can manage to work squid into conversation.” Ginny justified.
“Alright then, squid.” Ron agreed.
“Squid.” Harry added with a small smile.
After that, they lapsed into silence. It was nice, if even for a few minutes, to have a conversation that removed his thoughts from Hermione, even if said conversation was about how to avoid Lavender.
All of him does long for Hermione to be there. To see how serious he really is about being through with the blonde.
Before his thoughts could wander further, the carriage comes to a stop as the three climb out.
Harry and Ginny go left, but Ron goes right.
“Oi Ron, this way.” Harry reminds.
He shakes his head, “nah, gotta take the second years to the feast, then I’m gonna go up to the dorms. I got late patrols. I’m knackered.” He says, which isn’t a complete lie. He is pretty tired, but he also doesn’t think he can deal with the Gryffindor’s inevitable line of questioning to him and Harry about Hermione’s whereabouts.
“Alright mate, I’ll bring you up some food.” Harry promises.
Ron nods. For the first time since he can remember. He’s not very hungry for Hogwarts food.
...
Escorting the second years only took about twenty minutes. Thankfully, they were less timid than first years, so they moved quicker. Also, he imagines they could sense Ron was in a testy mood and decided not to challenge him.
After, he climbed the empty Gryffindor tower to his dorm and laid down for a kip.
Ron walked thoughtlessly through Hogwarts corridors. Hermione’s absence at times like these was more present then usual. Rounds were something always reserved for the two of them. No matter how awful it sounded, he looked forward to these times. Harry free. Just the two of them.
As he turned down the Transfiguration hallway he caught sight of a head of blonde hair walking forward.
“Malfoy!” Ron called.
Surprisingly, the blonde turned to face him.
“You’re not on rounds. You shouldn’t be out this late. May just have to give you detention. Maybe take away some points, eh?” Ron sneered, though he knew he couldn’t. After all, Malfoy was also a prefect.
However, the blonde didn’t come up with some nasty retort about how Ron was poor or how he was a blood traitor. No, instead, he looked scared.
“I was out looking for you.”
“Me?” The redhead asked befuddled.
Draco nodded slowly, “I need to talk to you. But not here.”
With that, the Slytherin silently led him onward. Still suspicious, Ron’s hand was in his pocket, having his wand at the ready.
Soon, they reached the astronomy tower as he deafly followed the git up the steps.
“Brought me up here to push me off, have you?” Ron said, half serious as the wind ruffled his robes.
Malfoy shook his head. Again, not coming up with any sort of taunts. It was almost worrying.
“It’s about,” he stopped, eyes finally meeting his, “it’s about Granger.”
Suddenly, his hand slackens in his pocket as he advances toward.
“He-Hermione?” He squeaks.
The blonde nods, “I know where she is.”
All pretenses of the civilness they’d been fooling themselves with were lost. Ron shoved Draco backward, hitting the brick wall.
“Tell me.” He grunted, hands fisting at his collar roughly.
Draco opened his mouth to do just that until something caught the pair's attention.
A laugh.
“Oh! Gonna rat, were you Draco?” Bellatrix Lestrange’s voice sounded.
Ron turned around to see the mad witch with her wand drawn.
“No auntie, I-“ he cowered.
“Nonsense. Just like your mother, weak! Never cut out for all this.” She spat.
Ron exchanged a look between the pair. He was right all along? Harry was right?
Draco’s eyes were screwed shut.
“I’m not going to punish you Draco. As disappointed as I may be, you are family. It’s not my job to discipline you.” Ron wanted to know where that thought was when she killed Sirius, “no matter. I’m sure the Dark Lord will thank you, since you’ve brought me a lovely gift.” She smiled.
Suddenly, her piercing gaze was on Ron.
“She cries for you. Did you know?” The witch asks, walking closer to circle him. “Every night.” Bellatrix adds, like a knife to his heart.
Not caring, he draws his wand and points right at her. “Take me to her.” He demands.
“Oh!” She hoots excitedly at his action, “or I could take her to you.” The smile is back.
“Greyback!” Bellatrix calls.
Descending from the steps is Fenrir Greyback. In his arms is Hermione. Her entire body is slack and pale. Blood coats the expanse of her skin as he makes out horrific bruises and bites.
“Hermione.” He moans making a move for her.
Greyback drops her to the floor, Ron reaches for her. Like always, he’s too late, she hits the stone before Ron gets there.
He throws himself to the ground, clutching at her body. His hands smear with blood as he reaches for a pulse.
There isn’t one.
Bellatrix begins cackling as Ron realizes she’s dead.
“Hermione.” He cries.
“Come on Mione. Don’t do this.”
“Hermione.” He’s surely wailing.
“Ron.” The voice isn’t hers.
He doesn’t care, “Hermione. Please.”
“Ron!” It’s louder.
Her body begins to fade. “No! You can’t take her from me!”
“Hermione!”
“Ron!”
He jumps awake to find Dean standing over him, concern evident on his face.
“Moaning about Granger again? Can’t say I missed that.” Seamus joked from the doorway.
Ron wasn’t even in a state to berate him. Too busy slowing his breathing.
Dean seemed to notice and shot the Irish boy a glare.
“You alright there Ron?” Dean asked softly.
Weasley opened his mouth to tell him it was just a dream, but soon stopped himself. Once able to scrub the image of Hermione’s limp body from his brain, he can’t help but wonder about Malfoy.
He isn’t a seer, hell, he isn’t even all that great at divination, but could it mean something? Could Malfoy truly know where Hermione is? Is that why he acted weird on the train? Is that why he told Katie she was gone? Was Harry right?
He soon pushed his thoughts away. In the back of his mind an image of Harry waking up in the middle of the night telling them Sirius was in trouble flashes in his brain.
Don’t be irrational. A voice, it sounds like Hermione’s scolds him.
Facts. Remember the facts.
“Ron?” Dean asks again.
He shakes his head, “yeah, I’m fine. Department of Mysteries.” He lies easily, eyeing the scars down his arm.
Sympathetically, Dean claps him on the shoulder and moves away.
“We were just coming to grab exploding snap, Harry told us to wake you for your rounds.” His roommate explains.
“Right, thanks mate.” Ron says sitting up and smoothing out his hair.
Dean and Seamus soon left, leaving Ron to toss his cloak on and prepare for patrols.
Slipping away, he soon found himself in the transfiguration hallway, half expecting to see Draco Malfoy. When that didn’t happen, he worked his way to the astronomy tower. Again, testing his theory.
As his eyes landed on the place he saw Hermione’s lifeless body, he soon decided on a way to take his mind off of everything.
Operation, what the fuck does Malfoy know.

I’m actually like dying, you write Neville so cute. That one where the reader said don’t die on me, and then the next line said he didn’t. I had to look at the wall for like 20 minutes cause that was so cute. Could you do like Neville hcs were the reader is bellatrixs daughter and is forced to become a death eater? Do whatever you want with that. I really appreciate it, Val. (I believe that is your name, sorry if I’m wrong)
Aww thank you much hun! Also my name is Katie, not Val! I think you may have me confused with @valwritesx cause she also writes for Harry Potter. Honestly I’ll take that as a compliment because I love her. Lastly this request hit me right in my feels and I’ve been so excited to write this!
ANNNND this got long. I’m so sorry.
I love this soft little bean

* I think right after your mother was arrested, you were sent to live with Tonks family. Obviously this was arranged by Dumbledore. Growing up, you knew who your mother was and things that she did to people and you felt ashamed to be her daughter.
* You first met Neville during your 5th year while he was in his 4th. You saw him sitting on the grass in front of the black lake, clearly upset. You never really talked to him before because you what happened to his parents. You still felt guilty even though you weren’t the one who tortured them.
* “It’s Neville right? Neville Longbottom? Is everything okay?”
* He quickly wiped his tears away
* “Oh, uh yes it is. I know who you ar. Y/N, I’m okay.”
* “Are you sure? You seem very upset. I won’t judge.”
* Hestiently he explained that Prof. Moody demonstrated the unforgivable curses.
*  Your blood started to boil at thought. Knowing damn well why he was so upset.
* Since that day, you and Neville were friends. You didn’t tell him who your real parents are.
* You help him in DATDA and Potions, he helped you in herbology. On Hogsmeade weekends the two of you often went together to the three broomsticks, Honeydukes and your favorite book store. You became inseparable.
* You were at the final task of the Triwizard tournament when you felt the burning on your right arm. Pain was unbearable. You left the stands and was about to walk back to your dorm when you caught a glimpse of the familiar black ink. The dark mark.
* You ran to try and find Mcgonagall or Dumbledore for help. Dumbledore concluded that your mother and Lord Voldemort placed the dark mark on you when you were a baby.
*  Dumbledore asked you to become a spy.  He knew it was a lot to ask of you, but if ment getting your mother back in Azkaban you’d do it. At the next meeting, you and Snape went together. The two of you made up an excuse as to why you had missed Lord Voldemort's return. You were then one of the first new members to join the Order Of Phoenix
* “I didn’t think it would wise for myself or Miss. Lestrange to have disappeared. during the tournament.  Dumbledore would have thought we were up to something.”
* You also had to act like you had missed your mother and loathed your aunt and uncle. “I couldn’t stand living there with those b-blood traitors. They aren’t my family, you are mother.”
* Fortunately your mother wanted you to keep living with them as to make sure nothing would be suspicious  despite your constant “begging”.
* Everything was going smoothly until Draco started to up to the meetings during the summer.
* You tried to break off your friendship with Neville but every time you tried, he would find a way wiggle himself back in. He would ask why you were trying to push him away and why you were so stressed. He would be so hurt when you lied to him telling him it was because exams or family issues.
* You were down at the Black Lake one day with Neville when Draco walked over to you. He had a shit eating grin on his face and you knew he wanted trouble.
* “And what are the two love birds up to this fine afternoon?”
* “Sod off Malfoy”
* “You actually make the perfect couple. Seeing as you’re traitors”
* You quickly ran over to him and pulled out your wand and held it up against his throat. “Say one more word and I will hex you.”
* “Wow your mum has been rubbing off on you hasn’t she?” Draco's eyes got wider when he realized, “Longbottom doesn’t know does he. This whole time you’ve known him and he doesn’t know your mother is Be-” “Petrificus Totalus!”
* You grabbed all your things as quickly as you could and tried to get away from Neville. “Y/N! Where re you going? Y/N Come back!”
* You then felt the mark on your arm start to heat up. You were being summoned to the Ministry of Magic.
-----------
* The shock on Neville’s face when he saw you in the Ministry quickly disappeared and was replaced by rage when he saw your mother. While Harry was stalling you remembered the plan that Snape told you. You quickly turned to your mother and yelled Stupefy.
* You then joined Neville and the others to try and find a way out.
* “You’re her daughter?! Bellatrix Lestrange is your Mother?”
* “Now is not a good time Ron!”
* When you were caught, Your mother held her wand against your throat. “How could you? Of all people to save, you saved them? YOU FILTHY TRAITOR” as she casted Curcio on you he faintly heard the sound of someone yelling to stop.
* Neville was fighting against Randolph’s hold on him. He was trying to get you. “Ah you care for her don’t you?” she taunted. His eyes softened as he saw you lying limp on the floor. Her eyes widen as she realizes “You love her don’t you?” She let out a shrieking laugh “OH imagine how fun it be will seeing the in laws again!”
* Thank Merlin because this when the Order had finally showed up to help you.
-------
* On the train ride home from Hogwarts you sat alone in a compartment until Neville shyly walked in.
* “Why didn’t you tell me?”
* “I was scared. I didn’t want you to think I was like her. I’ve been so ashamed my whole life because of her. When I saw you crying on the lake that day it just reminded me of how much you’ve went through with your parents. I j-just wanted to find a way to fix what happened. I started to try and distance myself from you once the mark showed up. but damn it Neville you wouldn’t let me! You were so kind and comforting even when I was at my meanest. and now you probably hate me for lying “
* “I knew you weren’t acting like yourself. I wanted to help. I wanted to be there for you. I don’t hate you Y/N”
* Neville was looking down at the ground shying away. He started to pick away at fingers, “The opposite in fact. I love you.”
* You felt like your heart stopped beating. Neville looked up at you and saw how confused you looked. “When I needed you the most, you were still therefore me.  You’re nothing like your mother.  I wish you would have told me sooner. But I do love you, nothing can change that.”
* You got up and sat down next to him on the opposite side of compartment. “You do realize I’m going into hiding right? Death eaters are going to come after me. I’m not coming back next year.” At this point you were holding his hand.
Neville nodded his head. “I know. Dumbledore told me. He also said that once I pass my Disaporting test, I should go to 12 Grindelwald Place to see you. I do want to be you.”
* You smiled at the boy sitting next you and leaned up to pressed a soft kiss on his lips. “Hurry up and pass the test then Longbottom.”
