Hi there! Welcome to my blog, which is dedicated to One Direction! I’ve really been missing them recently, so I thought, what better way to fill the void in my heart than to reconnect with the fans of them?

So, if you were wondering, my name is Robbie. But I also go by Ava or egg if you prefer to call me one of those. I use any pronouns and I’m 22 years old as of January 30th. I live in Pennsylvania in the United States and I’ve lived here all my life.

Now, onto the stuff you really care about! The stuff about One Direction! I joined the fandom in the late summer of 2011, so I was 9 years old. I was introduced to them by my sister and our cousin. I remember them telling me that I couldn’t just like them because I thought they were cute, but I had to like them because of who they were as people. They showed me the music video for What Makes You Beautiful and I was instantly hooked on them.

I’ve always been a Louis! I love all the boys, but he has my heart and probably always will. As of 8/29/24 my favorites in order are Louis, Niall, Harry, Liam, Zayn. I put Zayn last mostly because I’m not really up to date with what he’s been up to. To be honest, I was very upset for a long time about how things went with the boys. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still a bit salty. But I’m truly trying to get over that because I know it’s been a long time and that things with the boys, at least from what we’ve heard, seemed to be smoothed over a bit.

I’ve been to 3 One Direction concerts. During Take Me Home, I went to the Hershey, PA concert with my sister, cousin, and our aunt. In Where We Are, I went to the Philadelphia, PA concert with my mom, sister, and her friend. And for On the Road Again, I went to the Columbus, Ohio concert with my mom and sister. And in case you’re curious, I also went to a Louis Tomlinson concert in 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As far as favorite album goes, it’s very hard for me to pick. Up All Night brings me the most nostalgia while Made In the A.M. I think is the best musically. However, I believe that Midnight Memories has the most bops on it. But I’m totally willing to hear your thoughts on your favorites! My favorite song honestly can change by the day, so I won’t bother updating you every time it changes lol.

I hope you enjoy the content I post and that you join me on my journey to reconnect with the family of fans that I’ve missed so dearly.

Indianapolis, Indiana - Taxi Murders (1993)

Cab drivers in Indianapolis, as in any other city, face predictable risks on the job from armed robbers and random psychopaths. They suffer fewer casualties per year than cabbies in New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles , but there is no safe-conduct pass from danger, even when they travel armed.

On february 5, 1993, 57-year-old Samuel Smith was found dead in his taxi, parked in an alley near the 400 block of North Concord Street. He had been shot several times in the back of the head and apparently robbed. Police still had no leads in that case five months later, on July 12, when 50-year-old Charles Nixon drove his cab up to a fire station on East 34th Street, then staggered out and collapsed on the floor, dying from a gunshot in the back that pierced his heart.

Authorities could only speculate on the motive for Nixon's murder, since he still had his wallet and cash, but the presumption was attempted robbery. Dispatchers noted that Nixon had been sent to the 3700 block of North Bancroft Street around 1:15 a.m, to pick up a fare known only as "John." Company records show that Nixon turned his meter on three minutes later, bound for some unknown destination. Police reported his shooting to dispatchers at 1:30 a.m. Ironically, Nixon had carried a pistol for self-defence on the job until the previous week, when it was confiscated by police for lack of permit. Armed or not, however, Nixon's girlfriend told reporters, "He wasn't going to give up nothing without a fight."

At last report, Indianapolis homicide detectives were "looking at the possibility that Nixon and Smith were killed by the same person," but no suspects have been identified in either case. Unless deceased or jailed on unrelated charges in the meantime, the killer (or killers) remain at large.

Welcome Post

If you're reading this, hi!

My name is Nadia Ibrahim. I am 24 years old and thriving in the beautiful Midwest city of Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a loving, inspiring and abundant woman, among many other things.

I’ve been writing in some way, shape and form since I was a child. I am drawn toward the ability to document life in all its ups and downs through sharing my thoughts, experiences and personal lessons through writing. Recently, my relationship with writing has changed a bit. I inadvertently strayed away from writing because I feel I didn’t have a whole lot to say, and if you know me, you’re probably thinking ‘impossible!’ However, that pause was incredibly important in my process of having ‘writer’ be one of my many identities. Through this pause, one of my realizations has been the fact that I thought writing had to look like a certain thing for me. It couldn’t just BE. I also realized, me sharing certain inklings on social media has been a large part in my journey of writing. It doesn’t matter if it’s on a blog, or on my own website, or in a book. It doesn’t matter how many words I write or for how long, it’s the fact that I actually have been writing this whole time and in a way I felt was important, meaningful and accessible.

Writing, like any passion you possess, is a process. If it doesn’t piss you off or excite you or frustrate you or make you feel whole but confused and not good enough all at the same time, that thing may not be as important to you as you think, and that’s okay. But if you keep coming back to whatever it is, then it’s a passion worth pursuing. Things that matter show up in all different ways; they’re not meant to be fluid, that’d be too easy, right?

After struggling for so long with feeling the need to put myself in this metaphorical box, I finally realized after picking a bunch of brilliant, bold brains that I don’t have to fit in a pre-existing box or define myself in a way that already exists for me to pursue my passion or consider myself a certain thing, and in this case, a writer/blogger. I am already that thing and just doing it in my own way or ways that come most natural to me. And for me, the mechanism that comes most natural to me is sharing my thoughts, experiences, vulnerabilities and lessons through using social media. Where you write is simply a mechanism. Where you do whatever you do, is simply a mechanism. If you are authentic in your passion, you can most likely do it anywhere. You don’t need to be in a certain place, or do it a certain way for it to work. You just have to do it.

I am looking forward to sharing my process and experience being a writer with all of you. I truly believe I can make a difference in doing what I'm already doing, however, doing it more consistently, extensively, intentionally and on a larger platform.
