Magie aus dem 3D-Drucker

Ich bin aufgeregt, denn ich werde das erste Mal an einem Live Action Roleplaygame, kurz LARP, teilnehmen. Das Ganze kann man sich als eine Art Laienimprovisationstheater vorstellen, bei dem das Drehbuch geheim ist. Man übernimmt die Rolle einer gewählten Figur innerhalb einer Geschichte und spielt sie entlang des Plots, der von der SL (Spielleitung) vorgegeben wird. Nur eben nicht auf einer Bühne, sondern  beispielsweise einem Lager oder in diesem Fall einem alten Gutshof in Niedersachsen. Inklusive Verkleidung, Make-up und benötigter Requisite. Neben den Spielercharaktern (SCs) sind auch Nicht-Spieler-Charaktere (NPCs) anwesend sein, die in die Hintergründe eingeweiht sind, wichtige Hinweise liefern und diskret das Geschehen vorwärts treiben können.

Erfahren habe ich von dem LARP, das in einer deutschen Version des Harry-Potter-Universums spielt, über einen Follower auf Twitter und außer diesem einen Kontakt dort kenne ich auch niemanden. Die Anmeldung geschah online auf der Webseite des Vereins, der das LARP ausrichtete. Über mich selbst will man hier nur wenig wissen, Name, Telefonnummer und E-Mail-Adresse, Rollenspielerfahrungen. Dass ich noch nie ein LARP mitgespielt hat, ist ebenfalls nicht von Bedeutung. Wichtiger ist mein Charakter, den ich so detailliert wie möglich beschreiben soll, damit sie in das Spielgeschehen gut eingebaut werden kann. 

Ein E-Mail-Austausch sowie ein kurzes Telefonat mit einem Mitglied der SL bestätigt  meine Anmeldung: Ich werde eine Reporterin einer magischen Zeitung spielen, die den mysteriösen Geschehnissen vor Ort auf den Grund gehen möchte. Das Kostüm konnte ich mir kostengünstig auf der Second-Hand-Plattform Kleiderkreisel zusammenstellen, denn glücklicherweise kleiden sich Hexen in diesem Universum nicht so sehr anders als viele normale Menschen auch. Auf Etsy, einer Online-Plattform zum Verkauf selbstgemachter Dinge, habe ich zudem einen in einer Schreinerei gehobelten Zauberstab erworben. Der sieht hübsch aus, selbst kann er allerdings nichts. Daher zählt zu meiner Ausrüstung auch eine kleine Taschenlampe mit Dynamo, die ich für Lichtzauber nutzen werde.

Bisher habe ich nur auf Papier oder dem Tablet rollengespielt, am Tisch mit einer Gruppe oder über den Sprachchat Discord, die Rolle also höchstens mit der Stimme verkörpert und auch nicht durchgehend, sondern nur ein paar Stunden lang. Hier soll Tag und Nacht gespielt werden, man befindet sich ständig “in time” - IT. Das Gegenteil, OT (out time), soll in Interaktionen wenn möglich vermieden oder wenn jenseits vom Spielgeschehen stattfinden. All das ist nachzulesen in den Spielregeln, die auf der Vereinswebseite zur Verfügung stehen. Hier findet sich auch eine Liste von Zaubersprüchen, die meinem Charakter bekannt sein sollten - spricht jemand beispielsweise einen Vergesszauber auf mich, muss ich wissen, wie ich in diesem Moment zu reagieren habe. Ich notiere mir die Sprüche in einem Notizbuch, das ich als Reporterin als Arbeitshandwerkzeug natürlich dabei habe. Was mir kurz vor Abfahrt noch fehlt ist eine Uhr - ich erwarte nicht, dass ich mein Smartphone ständig griffbereit haben darf und möchte schon gerne ohne Nachfragen wissen, wie spät es ist. Unsere im Haus ausgegrabenen Analoguhren haben alle längst tote Batterien. Unterwegs stoppe ich daher kurz in einem Ein-Euro-Laden und kaufe mir die erste analoge Armbanduhr seit mindestens 20 Jahren.

Schon die Anfahrt ist recht abenteuerlich, denn der Weg zu dem Spielort liegt an einer frisch ausgebauten Umgehungsstraße, die Google Maps und somit Android Auto nicht kennt. Nach kurzen Irrwegen durch die ländliche Umgebung Oldenburgs komme ich aber doch pünktlich an und muss mich laut Infomail bevor das Spiel losgeht mit meinem Charakter einchecken. Alle Gegenstände, die ich bei mir trage, gelten als IT, es sei denn, ich verstaue sie in einem vorher gekennzeichneten Beutel. Hier lagere ich ein bisschen Proviant, mein Smartphone, die Autoschlüssel, meinen Geldbeutel und ein Aufladegerät. Ein Mitglied der SL verzeichnet meine Ankunft in einem Laptop und auf Papier, ebenfalls eine Glasflasche mit einem (unsichtbaren, denn die Flasche ist nicht dicht) Zaubertrank, den ich jetzt ganz offiziell einmal einsetzen darf: “Trinkt” ihn jemand, muss diese Person mir mit SL-Unterstützung drei Fragen wahrheitsgemäß beantworten. Entgegen meiner Erwartungen für drei Tage offline zu sein, wird mir auch IT erlaubt, mein Smartphone zur Kommunikation mit meinem fiktiven Chefredakteur zu benutzen, wenn auch nur an einem bestimmten Punkt im Garten. Für eine Reporterin des 21. Jahrhunderts mit nicht-zaubernden Eltern (Muggel) ist es auch in der Zaubererwelt realistisch, ein Smartphone zu besitzen.

Als alle Mitspielerinnen und -spieler angekommen sind, stellt sich das Team der Spielleitung kurz vor und die ersten technischen Aspekte des Spiels werden sichtbar: Die SL kommuniziert per Funk und Knopf im Ohr miteinander, später erfahre ich, dass es Leihgeräte sind. Gekleidet sind sie schwarz, mit einem fluoreszierenden Aufdruck auf dem Rücken. Zudem tragen sie nachts alle LEDs, um im Fall der Fälle schnell auffindbar und ansprechbar zu sein. Dann verlasse ich als Angela kurz den Gasthof und reise als Terry, mein gespielter Charakter an. Die Rolle lege ich in den folgenden Tagen nur bei kurzen Fragen zwischendurch (zum Beispiel nach einem Föhn, den ich zu Hause vergessen habe) und Unterhaltungen mit meinem Zimmergenossen hinter geschlossener Tür ab.

Im Laufe des Spiels taucht noch mehr Technik auf, wie beispielsweise versteckte Lautsprecher. Unheimliche Geräusche spielen im Plot eine große Rolle. Es gibt ein Radio, über das die SL, ich nehme an via Bluetooth, wichtige Nachrichten einspielt. Auch eine Zaubererzeitung liegt aus, am Computer verfasst und ausgedruckt, sowie eigens für den Plot hergestellte Bücher. Einige sind per Hand geschrieben, andere mithilfe von Layout- und Grafikprogrammen gestaltet. Viele der erfahreneren Spielerinnen und Spieler haben vorgefertigte Visitenkarten ihrer Charaktere dabei, sehr hilfreich, um sich Name und Rolle zu merken. Beim nächsten Mal, so nehme ich mir vor, werde ich mir ebenfalls welche drucken lassen. Später im Plot sind kleine Statuen von Märchen- und Sagengestalten von Bedeutung. Diese, so erfahre ich nach dem Spiel, wurden extra für das Wochenende per 3D-Druck hergestellt.  Bei nächtlichen Kämpfen gegen Unholde lassen versteckte Schwarzlichtscheinwerfer fluoreszierendes Make-Up und einen Zaubertrank aufleuchten, mit dem der große Bösewicht  im Finale übergossen wird.

Nach Spielende dürfen wir Spielerinnen und Spieler auch hinter die Kulissen blicken und einen Gebäudetrakt betreten, der uns im Spiel nicht zugänglich war. Hier wohnte während des Spiels die Spielleitung, hielt über Funk miteinander und den NPCs Kontakt, zog Kostümwandel der teilweise doppelt und dreifach besetzten NPCs durch, beantwortete Nachrichten per Smartphone oder Fledermauspost und führte über Laptops die Fäden des Plots zusammen. Hier befindet sich auch die Küche, in der wir jetzt helfen, aufzuräumen. Dabei bediene ich das erste Mal einen industriellen Geschirrspülautomaten, der eine Ladung Geschirr innerhalb 30 Sekunden spülen kann.

Erst beim Verabschieden erfahre ich die richtigen Namen meiner Mitspielerinnen und -spieler und verknüpfe mich mit ihnen über WhatsApp, Twitter und Facebook und das vereinseigene Forum. Schon bald wird der Folgetermin im nächsten Jahr angekündigt - und jetzt, wo ich weiß, was mich erwartet, freue mich sogar noch mehr darauf.

Ein Ehepaar, super nett beide an die Rente, hat schon einige Verfahren versucht um die Feuchtigkeit in den Zimmern los zu werden (ich will den ganzen alten Kohl nicht vor würgen – Ihr kennt das alle). Bisher vergeblich. Beide beobachten meine Infos im Internet schon länger und waren lange skeptisch ;). Eine Infomail. ein Anruf, ein Gespräch, ein Angebot, ein Vor-Ort-Termin und jetzt passierts‘s die Kinder haben auf gepasst mit wem sich Mutti und Vati bedenkenlos treffen können und die Löwin darf eingreifen Schimmel, Nässe und Muff an der Kehle packen um die Dinge positiv zu korrigieren. Und das geht Oben-Ohne ausschachten weil ja keiner im Keller wohnt (DIN 1053). Bei der Einweisung war schon fast eine Wand fertig weil es auch Spaß macht. Sonst würde das Paar keine attraktiven wohligen Wohnräume mehr vor dem Ableben Erleben. Das gelingt leider nicht immer. Erst neulich verstarb jemand in Neuendorf (Tipp dort steht ein 30er Blitzer an der Hauptstraße) kurz vor der geplanten Selbstausführung. So spielt das Leben. Die Witwe heute(ehemals Krankenschwester in Hennigsdorf) ist in den Genuss gekommen und zufrieden über die Verbesserung der Lebens- und Wohnqualität. Nebenher hat das Haus an Wert gewonnen die Kosten dagegen fallen kaum ins Gewicht. Man kann eben nicht früh genug beginnen egal was man im Leben anstrebt. Es verbleibt sonst keine Zeit für das LEBEN und Dies ist oft genug nicht mal fair zu uns. In diesem Sinne „Mach was draus“

Das Paar hat jetzt das erste trockene Haus Am Platze in der gesamten Altbauwohnsiedlung - Glückwunsch.

The following is important information on species conservation, climate protection, climate change and environmental protection in the climate crisis. It is not primarily about the human-caused part of "climate change" and global warming. It is about the global human impact or influcence on climate, environmental, natural and weather systems. Means the whole humanity, opinions and collective wisdom represent the real reality not just a single opinion or study. Humans should aware and care more about these true facts, logical arguments and real truth! The fact that we are living in a hot age and a time of many climate and weather extremes, means that humanity and all life forms should make the best of it and better adapt. The best way is to promote adaptation, education, resilience and understanding of the circumstances. It is reasonable to live and work with nature, not against it!

Many conservationists, climate, nature, and environmental activists want to protect species, some even the really important and endangered species. This is commendable and there could be many more of these activists. But it is much more important to save the really critically endangered species and to protect them at the same time! Today, still almost nobody understands how important the species rescue and how unimportant the species protection of unimportant species is - at least in comparison and in relation to the rapid species extinction of really threatened or critically endangered species. Each gardener is a protector of species. What is the use for the biosphere, nature and mankind to save the few species we hear about every day. On the other hand, countless much more important species are dying out every day, including many keystone species on which many other species depend. Unfortunately, there is also a lack of awareness and understanding of the biosphere in relation to the biomass and diversity of species. Just look, organic soils, grasslands, wetlands and global forests who regulate even the climate and weather systems are the main part of the biodsphere!

If mankind prevents species extinction by preserving healthy ecosystems and restoring important habitats and landscapes, or if natural regeneration processes are more supported, the atmosphere and biosphere could recover, regenerate naturally and regulate itself. The connection between species recovery, species protection, climate protection, environmental protection and biodiversity, biosphere and ecosystem services is often not seen clearly. Until today, many people do not understand that climate protection is also species protection and thus contributes significantly to the preservation of the biosphere. One of the best ways to protect and save species is to preserve the important habitats of these species and to do ecosystem restoration with greening, reforestation species protection camps on a global level. Greening Deserts founder and initiator explained these important issues in several articles and offered innovative solutions with many global initiatives or international projects.

Another thing is the missing issue or topic of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) on so many levels. One example in the case of flood prevention by nature-based solutions. It's logic that after such drought years, dry and water repellent soils make erosions and floods more extreme. Another problem are the missing trees and wetlands were destroyed. The problem in Germany is and was the missing disaster risk reduction and disaster management in case of extreme weather events like droughts and floods, DRR should be a worldwide established system. Even urban flood prevention by extra water sheds, water ways and underground reservoirs can help to reduce these risks. Another problem is the lack of trees and wetlands that have been destroyed - especially by extreme drainage for agriculture and open pit mines. Many important ecosystems such as wetlands have been destroyed as a result, including floodplains, bogs, fens and wet forests. If humanity understands all these relations there will be maybe a chance of get back a certain balance, harmony or peace -- to live peacefull with nature and each other. I call it the harmonic coexistence, if you lived my life during the last ten years you would understand what I mean. To all the worldwide scientific colleages, it is no alarmism, it is pure reality and truth, it are serious advises, concerns and of course personal opinions what's going on. You can experience and research yourself during many years or decades.

Many people of the climate movement, governments and even parts of the industry followed and got inspired by Greening Deserts articles and projects – especially the master works or plans. Read for example the master work for a faster and more efficient coal exit in coal regions, it was published years before there was a Coal Commission in Germany! Published many good papers and solutions for the biodiversity and climate crisis, the green building and energy transition during the years, long before there was the actual climate movement or Fridays for Future. Even the green ring logo was designed for the Green Ring Movement and Trillion Trees Initiative before FFF started. Just to mention the history and origins of some ideas and works. At the end we at Greening Deserts are happy that so many people got inspired and followed the good examples. Desert greening with desert bamboo and thistles loosens and improves the soil. Green manure plants such as special field beans and hemp can quickly build up humus-rich topsoils. This even works in drylands and wastelands!
