I love this type of character that I will love them hold them gently give all my time and money to them but also if you run them over by a car throw them into a fire pit I won’t flinch the slightest i might even join you

The ink and how it actually works is the vaguest and least explained/cohesive thing about BATIM and I think it would hurt the series if we actually fully came to understand how it worked or there was only one way it did.

I personally love the idea the ink is a substance that feeds on the host both personality and body wise. I like the idea the physically acts like a parasite. I respect the idea that it is something just out of this world. I am interest in the idea the machine just makes fucked shit cause it itself is malevolent.

However, I feel as the vagueness of the ink makes the story as it makes us question the motivations and actions of the characters affected by it and how the ink could’ve created such drastically different things. Confirming anything would pigeon hole the story but also take away some of the mystique of the ink.

This is just as ramble about what I thinks makes BATIM fun from a lore standpoint
