mark is so weird bc hes genuinely competitive and was doing all sorts of planning outside the show for points and very nearly won but his attitude and physicality were so anxiety ridden and pathetic he came across as an absolute loser. there were also times where greg purposefully underscored him to be mean and times when mark himself hampered his own successes to be funny that contributed to his image as a downtrodden heron

Tbh, they were either afraid of the duo since those two are a very dangerous different breed of botbots or they get the other bots who can’t fight back far away from them.

Honestly, I didn’t bother to add them in bc they’d be overpowered and ruin the angsty flavor of this arc. Plus I’d have too many to write in this and it would take too long. If I did add them in, then I’d have to make Duo having an arsenal of weapons and bombs and blowtorches just to make the fight equal (since some bots have powers) and to make the Duo much more terrifying

(Honestly wanted to see Rottentron and duo fight Mother Strongroot but then again, I have a feeling deepfried would say it’s one sided since MS is like older or whatever)

As for Bonz-eye, she’ll be a bit more closed off and more serious than before. She’d train to become more stronger than before after hearing what happened to Burgertron before he got insanified and when Lady Macaron dies before her eyes. She just wants to be strong enough so her friends don’t go through all that again.

The truly heartbreaking thing is that Bai Choufei IS dead, in all the ways that really matter. If BCF pre-dungeon could have seen this scene, he would have been so horrified.

Also, the way even now SMZ is quiet - he never raises his voice ever, does he? In a way, this is like a grown-up and insanified dynamic of BCF being an acting-out preschooler who is doing anything to get his cool older brother’s attention, good or bad. Only they are adults and draw blood.

To bring in a very different narrative for comparison, it makes me think of the flower in 2ha. It’s not that sane and functional pre-jail BCF didn’t have issues with inferiority or ambition or whatever. But like any functional person that belonged to the id and was controlled by the rest of him. But what the meds/jail/torture did is remove all the controls and let the id run rampant. Like the flower in 2ha, it’s not that it introduces thoughts and desires that the person never had or never would have had, it’s that it brings them from subconscious, amplifies them and removes any good thoughts as counterbalance and any ability to control the id.

I mean - that is not even rational from any cold-blooded cost-benefit analysis.

I hate BCF for what he is doing to SMZ but I pity him terribly also - he didn’t exactly choose this but also he will never be happy it’s clear. Because even if he gets to be the big boss (and even if he is, he’s still the Chancellor’s dog, not an independent person) and gets Lei Chun and whatever, none of it would quiet or even sate his demons.

SMZ’s outraged decency kills me. Oh. Also, at this rate, their scabbard is gonna come back only to discover his blades offed each other.

I was going to say “why doesn’t SMZ stop and think how not right in the head BCF must be to be happy to work for his torturer instead of wanting to murder him” but then I realized that while SMZ does not get the extent of what was done to BCF, he knows some of it and - there is nothing anyone can do anyway. Regardless of how BCF ended up this way, there is nothing they can do about it. They don’t exactly have cult deprogramming or psych services back then. There is nothing to be done.

Slenderman movie was a shitty horror movie and an even shittier slenderman movie. the director did like three minutes of research then made up a bunch of shit that makes no sense. it was 4 different unfinished movies crammed together with no sense of finality and most of the ending happened off-screen.

let me try to put it together.

spoilers.

after like five minutes of character introduction (sports girl with a little sister, occultist girl with morbid sense of humor, girl who wears choker and that's I guess her personality, and token black girl who that's also her full personality), the four dumbass teens watch internet video that summons mister slendy. Forget for a minute that that's not how you summon him. Also, epilepsy warning. Illuminati confirmed.

One of them disappears. Spooky. Her drunk ass dad breaks into one of the other girls houses to grill her about where his daughter is.

The remaining three do a ritual to summon him again and exchange things they love for their friend back because some girl on the internet named Alison said that's what you do. They're warned not to look at Slendy's face. Guess what one of them did. He haunts her and she goes insane.

One of the last two tries to research Slendy. She finds a book about science "bioelectric" gobbledygook but then hallucinates and he haunts her then steals her face. I guess. That's not what happens in creepypasta canon but whatever. We don't hear about that book again.

The other decides to ignore it all. Oh but that doesn't end well and she hallucinates stuff because she's crazy now I guess. Her new boyfriend probably watches the video that summons him and he's all paranoid and then hey forget literally all of that plot line because her sister spazzes out and goes to the hospital. She has more hallucinations. Then she learns that her friend made her sister do the ritual for some fuckin reason. Pissed off she kicks in the door at her house to see the Pages all over her wall. Which is cool I guess. Then she learns Alison is escaped from an asylum. She saves her friend from jumping out the window. Then Slendy shows up and fucking kills her anyway. She runs off into the woods and tells Slendy she wants to take her sister's place. And then she immediately screams and runs away when Slendy walks up to her. Slendy then turns into fucking Doctor Octopus from Spiderman, then turns into a tree, goes Evil Dead, and vores her.

The sister then narrates how Slendy is basically spooky HIV and he's evil and bad juju and shit.

The end.

THATS IT. THATS THE WHOLE FUCKIN MOVIE.

the goddamn games had better storylines.

at least the music was okay and the visual design was pretty spot on. until he fucking spiderwalked.

but it was a goddamn trash pile.

literally during one of the ~scary parts~, THE ENTIRE GODDAMN THEATER WAS LAUGHING BECAUSE IT LOOKED SO FUCKING STUPID.

the writing was piss-poor, the acting did its best with what it was given, and the director pulled so many creative liberties out his ASS that it might as well not even have been the slenderman movie. call it the "tree demon who kidnaps, insanifies, and vores children, and bears a striking resemblance to slendy" movie.

and it didn't even use the mark, the O with an X in it, not once. very disappointing. no static in the way it should have been, no distant thump or dissonant vworp. just a trio of bell sounds. which I guess seemed like a good idea by the screenwriter at the time but had nothing to do at all with slenderman mythos. none of the things that actually mean something to fans of the creepypasta.

the music was good tho. and the way that they presented slendy was incredible, and done so much better than pretty much every single other shitty horror movie. it's on par with ridley scott's alien and pyramid head in silent hill 2 in terms of knowing exactly how to pace showing off the monster. I legitimately loved the first half because it trimmed all the fat and was like, here's some teens who did a dumb, here's the monster, go fucking nuts. and then it copy and pasted some bits and went fucking nowhere. so I went home and started rewatching marblehornets.

So I decided to watch the first episode if Inanimate Insanity Invitational (or Inaimate Insanity season 3). Here's my overall thoughts on it. Spoilers below but TL;DR: I thought it was okay, I guess. 5/10

Okay, so I'll start with the old characters that are in this season (Nickel, Box, Balloon, OJ, Paintbrush, Yin-Yang, Fan, Test Tube, and Bow). They were fine this episode. I'm kinda neutral towards all of them so I didn't really care what happened to them. I have to wonder though, will Box end up being the Planky of the show? Maybe so from the looks of it.

I have a little more to say about the newbies. But not much. I thought they were all fine. The ones I have the most to say about is Blueberry, Cabby, and Candle.

While watching the episode, whenever Blueberry was on the screen, in the back of my head all I could think of what "Puffer". Maybe it's just because I love Puffer but Blueberry acts and sounds like I think Puffer would act like in the canon of Black Heart. Please tell me I'm not alone. Also, shut up you purple-blueish man blue is an AWESOME color /lh.

Cabby I think might be the one I like the most out of everyone in the episode. I like her voice. It's nice. She didn't save the episode from being just okay to me, but I appreciate her existence. Also, does the bottom cabinet function as a stomach ooooorrrrrr.....

Candle is like if Tree hugger and Pie had a baby (wait, wouldn't Pie just be a fusion of Dough, Blueberry, and Candle? Eh, story for another day). Also, I like her colors. Also also, I kinda ship her with Silver Spoon ngl. I think the shipping fuel hits me the hardest when she says, "Come along." That, plus her expression when she says it make me kinda ship them.

And here's my thoughts on the other newbies (I know they're called "fans" in the episode but shush):

The Floor: Interesting concept. Also, his accent sounds like a mix of an Australian accent and a British one to me. Am I the only one who thinks that.

Goo: Cute design with pretty colors. Also, I like the way his mouth is drawn. I don't know how to describe it. Also, he sounds like a mix of Purple Face and Homsar. Even though I know it wasn't intentional, I just wanted to point that out for no reason.

Silver Spoon: He's fine. Nothing much to say other than what I said about him while talking about Candle. He also kinda sounds like Purple Face to me. Or maybe Pure Face somehow rotted my brain so that I think anyone who has a kinda of posh, upstanding accent (idk how to describe it) that's also kind of deep sounds like him.

Tea Kettle: Who?

Lifering: Death P.A.C.T. (Again) wants to know your location.

Clover: She's fine.

Now, is there anything about this new ep where my reaction to it was "okay" or "fine". Uhhh, hmmm... The colors look nice. Oh! And I also like this screenshot. Mostly for Yin-Yang's expression along. I like smug looks.

The walkie-talkie's voice was also plesent.

Also, I have a nitpick that I also don't care about but I've noticed the animation in this seems, weird to me. Like, movement wise. I think they're using a lower frame rate and if that's what they're going for good for them for trying something new.

Lol, that's it. 5.5/10 even though you already saw my rating for the episode for the introduction to this post but whatever.

It's supposed to be really pathetic n gushy seeming. It was like seeming to be ecstatic at a point when I was raising my voice, maybe it was threatening the goons, it seemed it was. It's starting to make my sticky out of the blue. It's acting really sappy n gushy. It's so unbelievably sick n just disgusting n unbelievably insanifying. It's so insane n so sick n disgusting here. It's really bad I don't know what all its supposed to be facing or what's happening n it's attacking me to do something to deal w whatever is happening. I cannot have my own experience or day or morning or something. It's very bad, it's very crazy.
