Saturday, July 2, 2022 Good morning! Today we look at Temptation, Self-Delusion, and Artifice Tarot of the Day: The Devil.

The Devil is a card about feeling trapped or restrained in a situation. Likely, the situation appeared to be one thing on the surface but later turned out to be either more complicated or, something else, entirely.  Whether it was you or someone else who got you involved is immaterial, now. You’ll need to look beyond blame or guilt about how you got ‘here’ and past superficial appearances, to the truth of the situation.

Seek guidance if you feel it will help illuminate your options but, don’t let someone else’s opinion of your circumstances sway you; ensure that your decision on how to move forward is your own and for your highest good. Remember that you can free yourself from whatever restrictions you are feeling by making a choice to remove them; you have a right to make your life what you want it to be.

💚At work, this card can be a sign of feeling trapped in your job. Consider whether there is anything you can do to change things – anything from finding a new job, to voting in a union, to adjusting your attitude. Weigh the options and the trade-offs and decide. You are not trapped unless you choose to be.

💙If The Devil is in the details of your relationship, one or both of you may be feeling a little trapped. Try talking calmly and respectfully with your partner and see if that’s the case and if it can be resolved. 💙If you're single and looking, this may be a sign that you're approaching the point of desperation or appearing desperate. Consider focussing on your personal journey for a while; ask yourself why you feel you need a partner so urgently.

When this happens we can either justify these things, or we can make a decision about how we want our lives to pan out and decide if what we are doing will support these desires and intentions. #DailyTarot: what is my lesson or message for today? Today’s Card: Queen of Pentacles Meaning: Grounded and powerful, the Queen represents fertility, cycles, material riches, and primordial wisdom. My Lesson: Although I pulled the card this morning, I decided to meditate on it and what it might mean for me. In a sense the Queen of Pentacles is carrying on a similar theme with most of my other pulls thus far (with the exception of The Devil), in that they seem to be representing abundance, generosity, and fertility — a sense of reaping what is shown, gaining the boon of work accomplished. However, in this particular moment, I am feeling neither very accomplished or abundant. Moods fluctuate and, as sometimes happens, I’m feeling overwhelmed by the work I’ve set up for myself in my hopeful start for the year. As I’ve said before, there’s groundwork being done here, so perhaps these messages represent the potential future that I will be able to reap once this work is done (though honestly the work as a writer is never really done). The aspect of the Queen that’s speaking to me is fertility, which does not necessarily refer to the fruit itself. Rather it’s the richness of the soil, the sprinkling of rain, and other factors that lead to the potential for growth, followed by the pleasure of the fruit.
