Insidious: The Last Key (2018) dir. Adam Robitel. 7.5/10

I wouldn't recommend this movie to my friends. I wouldn't rewatch this movie.

This child Elise seems just like her. What kinda casting? Just like the last movie. Not, the teen Elise though. Elise living like this her whole life is actually so brave. Lin Shaye, great actress. Specs finally won a fight and so hardcore.

These cobwebs are so unrealistic.

Elise's dad says the most horrible things. Specs and Tucker, stop hitting on girls. Can you believe Garza just had a woman trapped and also let people in to check his house? The history and story behind this house and the kidnappings are terrible. The laundry ghost being a real person is terrible news. Imagine you find out your abusive father is even more terrible than you knew.

Why did Maggie shed that first tear? Later, I get it. Girl, suffered something I never wanna experience. What is the age range between these girls and the two guys? Why is this demon so electrical? How are we chained up so fast? How come Mom looks okay as a ghost and not Anna? How is Mellisa alive? Poor girl. How did mom even defeat the demon so easily?

The laundry room ghost is like playing red light, green light.

Poor Christian and Elise at all ages. Poor everyone besides the perpetrators. This is all just crazy.

I'm going to break this into two separate posts because I think it deserves as such

My friends and I spent MANY hours in a discord call, watching all five Insidious movies back to back. This resulted in half the party falling asleep by the end of it, and the insomniacs staying awake the whole time, heavily judging and criticizing the character, as you do.

Panda (Pink Hair) ended up falling asleep halfway through the 3rd movie and woke back up nearing the end of the 5th. Sun (Green Hoodie,) who was streaming the movies fell asleep in the beginning of the 5th and woke back up around 5 minutes before the movie ended. Breeze (Puppy Slippers) and I (Skull Pants) stayed up the entire time, and then fell asleep wayyy too late into the morning. We make WONDERFUL decisions as you can see :]

Anyway, I drew the line art and the base colors, and then my best friend did the heavier coloring and the lighting (because she's friggen amazing at it) and this is hour that turned out \o/
