Agra, which sits on the banks of the Yamuna, is most famous for the magnificent Taj Mahal. Still, this spectacular structure is not the only thing that makes this old city appealing. There's a lot to discover in India, ranging from parks and bazaars to mausoleums and monuments. #insightfulharsh , Harsh Chokra, Insightful Harsh

Me: I wonder what Hook calls Sampo in the Japanese dub? Probably oji-san, since it's shushu in the original Chinese?
Hook: Sampo-ojichan!!

Oji is "uncle," which is hilarious because Hook calls Natasha by "older sister" when she wants something. So Hook either just really wants to get on Natasha's good side, or she takes Sampo at face value when he refers to himself as an old man. She trusts him a lot and takes him at his word and she calls him as such!
And Sampo calls Hook either ojou-san or oujo-san (I can't find the Japanese sub to see the spelling, and I can't tell them apart by ear)!
One spelling, oujo, means "princess," it's how you would refer to royalty. The other, ojou, (which I assume is what he's actually saying) is something you call the young lady of a high-class family with a high social standing. In Genshin Impact, the intro scene for a popular ship, chilumi, shows Childe calling Lumine ojou-chan, which the English dub translated as "girlie." Since Sampo uses -san instead of -chan, his is more formal and respectful, it's more like "young lady."
...It's also how you would refer to the daughter of a yakuza leader, which I love, since Hook leads her own little gang (the Moles) skzhkskdkd
But it really gets me in the heart, because! Hook is generally looked at as a delinquent by most adults. Which I mean. Not without good reason, she
calls Natasha an old witch
frequently sneaks out into the Fragmentum
has left graffiti all over the side of the orphanage
was constantly picking fights with other kids
beat a man unconscious for stealing from her dad
and has already picked up on how business gets done in the Underworld, and uses/actively participates in it to get what she wants- she basically acts an information broker
like Hook earns her reputation haha. The Underground is lucky that what Hook wants is just like. Candy and toys and to play hide-and-seek. I'm sure she'll have the capability to raise all kinds of hell and be more like an actual gang leader when she's older, even if she chooses not to act on it.
So Sampo calling her so politely and respectfully is really sweet and cute! Yes, he's polite and respectful with everyone, but that's just it- he treats Hook much like he does everyone else. He doesn't tell her to buzz off because she's a kid. He doesn't lie or try to cheat her or assume she's naive because of her age. He never talks down to her. He really does just treat her like a respected business partner and he takes her seriously, which Hook really seems to appreciate. And even when Sampo does treat her like a kid, it's not in a negative way; he guides her on little adventures and chats with her and takes her for joy rides on his moped. All of which Hook also really appreciates, since everyone else is too busy trying to get by to make time to play with her. She absolutely adores him.
I hope they officially join forces someday and terrorize all of Belobog with their shenanigans JSKJZNDKSJ
So Hook calls Sampo "Uncle Sampo" in a particularly affectionate/endeared tone, and Sampo calls Hook "Young Miss Hook" in a very respectful tone! And to reiterate:

#honkai star rail#hsr sampo#hsr hook#WHAT BUSINESS DO THEY HAVE BEING SO ADORABLE AUGH OTL#they're so cute...my heart...#I've seen people say Sampo is a bad influence on Hook but I don't really like that because I feel it takes away from Hook's character.#Let her be awful all on her own!!#god forbid women do anything skhzksjsnz#I actually do really like her just being like this no matter what though because I think Hook is a fascinating example of just how harsh-#-the Underground is and how it's developed separately from the Overworld and how it operates and what it takes to survive down there.#like Hook is like this because she grew up down there during the worst times.#even if she was born before the halves were sealed off she's too young to remember any of that.#I'm pretty sure the end of the main quest in Belobog was the first time she'd ever seen the sun.#and so I think it's really neat seeing how she operates and what she thinks of things. she offers an insight not many other characters do.#she's too nice for it but I would love for her to be more like a gang leader as she gets older it would be a fun divergence jzkzjdndkd#Sampo can be one of her business partners. Belobog is shaking in fear skxhjsjddn#hsr#honkai star rail sampo#honkai star rail hook#pitch dark hook the great#sampo koski#hook & sampo

"What is it about society that disappoints you so much?"
"Oh I don't know.."
"Is it that we collectively thought Steve Jobs was a great man, even when we knew he made billions off the backs of children?"
"Or maybe it's that it feels like all our heroes are counterfeit; the world itself's just one big hoax."

The generated ash wisdom of the days
April 22, 1991
Today, in a way, I invite the dreaded grey insanity. Come eat me up you devil! You are my secret wind, aren’t you? Just playing tricks on me. Just playfully hiding one from me.
Why do I resist me? Why do I so restrict Life and her movements of grace?
I’m afraid of me.
I’m afraid to let go.
I’m afraid to let go of pain.
April 5, 1991
I met a guy who wondered around for 6 months without talking as result of an injury. He loved the experience. What would that be like?
End of entries:
Note: December 16, 2024
I found these two entries in my 1991 journal the other day. I decided to post them together because they kind of fit. Maybe the answer to being unable to let go of my pain is to not talk for 6 months! More and more as I move through my day I ask , “What does my existence need now?” It needs me to be as close as possible to clear consciousness. No thoughts. Just being aware of self and environment.
The dreaded grey insanity that I referred to in the first entry above was my job as a Deputy Public Defender. It's relentless harshness led to the gifts of insight and a deeper truth and sense of being. These are the things I was accusing it of hiding from me. It all led my pen to the page. And the journal entries captured the generated ash wisdom of the days.
#afraid to let go of the pain#deputy public defender#relentless harshness leads to insight#insight leads to pen to page#writing as the vessel between experience and revealed truth of being#what does my existence require now?

This is the realiest I ever scene in stranger things time line, and how ironic Eddie's line 'Studies have linked violent behavior to the game. 'cause the person in the magazine is actually a former dict@t0r president who done gruesome things in the 80s. Many of us filo including me never forgive what he did. My mom even tell how she's scared during the martial law implemented in my country.
And now who voted for his son to be the president. (I'm not claiming his son being president of my country these days 'cause he doesn't deserve it.) are actually shitheads who never realised and learn things from the past.
#It's rare for me to speak for what's right and wrong#stranger things#eddie munson#duffers are more knowledgeable about this serious past issue than my country men#It's my first time posting my political insights#Maybe I got cancelled for being harsh

just finished watching the last duel because i needed to try watching a medieval movie. i will say this. fuck
#watching this was a series of 'fuuuck' reactions. and not the positive kind#i saw that most people didn't like it because it was repetitive. since it portrays the pov of three characters involved#and so some scenes are repeated. but they differ in dialogue and actions. because they are lived through the different people's povs#and i actually found that to be. really insightful. and also fun? because i got to spot differences#how each character saw it differently. how each thinks they remember things being said or done differently#the movie does give the viewer a subtle hint. that the real truth was told by the woman amongst the men#it was. a sad reality. and sadly very believable. portrays the struggle of women in that time period#but also doesn't stray too much. sadly. from the real world of nowadays too. i felt many things on my skin#the assault scenes were not easy to watch. as i predict most times i watch movies#if they got that type of scene. i will be always in pain a little. but i lived through it because i wanted to see how it would end#since i didn't know the historical accuracy and truth. it was new to me. and dare i say#the last duel is called that because. well. the last duel. actually had me biting my hands#i was at the edge of my SEAT. and i don't feel that with many movies#i blame kcd for giving me positive associations to this time period. but honestly i enjoyed the watch#and i particularly am biased. because. of some reasons#i liked jean. despite him being flawed and fucking up multiple times judging from his wife's pov#but this is interesting too. because every pov is different. and i feel it invites the viewer to think#in a way they are called to be the judge in the end. even if the movie hints that the reality. the real truth was spoken by the woman#i still feel jean saw himself fight and care for his wife. but in reality he was cold and harsh still. i feel like he would've wanted to be#a good husband to her. but failed. because his pride and his background as a man who fights to earn his bread prevents him from#being a loving man. so. yeah i guess i'm biased. but it was a thought provoking movie alright#writing an essay as if someone would read lol anyway. carey has enjoyed a movie. event of the year#because i don't watch movies i pick myself for myself often#so there's that. back to drawing my medieval boys

for the writing game 21!!!! (chosen very randomly and has nothing to do with any of my ocs btw......)
Also i hope you're doing ok, have a nice day <33
Hiii! So sorry this took a second, I've been very tired and busy and to be fair I wasn't sure how to incorporate the prompt or make a writing idea out of it that wasn't just. Net zero information. I guess it kind of still is... again, not my best work, but I am doing these requests to get more comfy with posting my less polished and perfected writing so here goes! P.S. Thank you for asking how I've been! Not at my best right now but I believe I'll be okay :') P.P.S. Cyrus's view on the Church of Seir0s do not reflect my opinions about any of this it's just what he thinks. As a character
21. amber
The cathedral of the Garreg Mach monastery was bathed in sunlight as the dawn was breaking. A lonely figure sat up on the bench, his white hair making him look like he was glowing. Cyrus found his own snow-white hair more annoying than he did beautiful or endearing.
As his mind woke itself up, a sense of urgency crept up on him. Right… Before he gave in to the sleep deprivation, Cyrus remembered watching Dimitri stand by the destroyed statue of the Goddess. Cyrus had seen him do this so many times, and, even after talking to Dimitri as much as he did, he never understood what the prince hoped to accomplish with praying to the Goddess. Both of them were nothing but toys in her wicked game, after all. Or that was how Cyrus saw it.
Looking up at the spot where Dimitri should’ve been, he saw nobody. Cyrus raised an eyebrow — where could he have gone off to? Dimitri barely left this spot before. Cyrus had to wonder if the man was safe now, as he remembered his tendencies to get himself in danger.
“Cyrus.” A familiar deep voice made Cyrus turn his head and finally look away from the statue ruins, before his thoughts could consume him. The familiar sound of armor clanking with each footstep gave Dimitri away.
“Your Highness?” Cyrus’s voice was still hoarse with sleepiness.
“You mustn’t sleep here. It is cold,” Dimitri said in a harsh, strict voice, his eye yet again set on the ruins of the statue. However, Cyrus could spot something in his hand — it was shining with a yellow glimmer, and was familiar to Cyrus for some reason. That made him look down on his cravat that always had been pinned by a shiny amber jewel… Only to find it gone.
“It seems you’ve lost this.” Looking away, Dimitri extended his hand to give the jewel to Cyrus; indeed, it was his amber jewel that used to be attached to the pin.
“Thank you.” Cyrus took it with hesitation.
In response, Dimitri groaned and looked away. “Think nothing of it.”
“Where were you during the night?” Cyrus insisted on talking to Dimitri, who appeared to be vexed, but actually wasn’t.
“While you were asleep, I noticed that you lost this,” Dimitri said, his voice somber. “So I went looking for it.”
Cyrus’s bright eyes widened, the curls of his hair bouncing slightly as he tilted his head, confused. He wanted to ask why, but didn’t want to sound ungrateful. Still, Dimitri picked up on it:
“Maybe you would leave me alone if I did something like this,” he said, his brow furrowed. “There, I did something kind to you. Will you leave me be?”
Heaving a sigh, Cyrus smiled as he looked down on the jewel. It had a dried blood stain on it. He shook his head slowly, and Dimitri’s eye widened with surprise.
“I’m afraid I cannot do that, Your Highness.”
#fe3h oc#oc cyrus bartholomew lenz#What happens next after this.............well it is up to interpretation I guess. Love me a good ambiguous ending#Sorry this is shorter and less like. Polished and nicely written...#I am trying so hard not to be too harsh on myself and my writing but I'll be real fellas my brain was barely working when I wrote this !#I just hope it does not show too much lmfao#Anyway this is probably not good but it does give some insight into how they interacted <3 I hope#Btw next one is going to be. Ummm Juicy if I can ever get to it and execute it better >:) So buckle up!

⋯✧・♪♫♪・✧⋯ The nerve of this child. How dare he speak to him like this?! He wants royal decorum but he's going to stand there and accuse him of not caring?! He's going to be a brat and refuse to use his name simply of the principle of being petty?!
"You're lucky we've given you our names at all, lapsi!" He shouts at this arrogant human while he continues to trudge behind him.
"Misterican names are sacred so you should feel fortunate we even gave you half our names when you did nothing to earn them! And yes, I'm hung up on the name thing because not only did I tell you how I wanted to be addressed, you turned around and chose to be colorist instead. You can't call me Orange, there's two of us."
It makes him wonder if the child has met Valo yet and in turn that means Aamunkoitto as well. He can't see either of them being fond of this type of behavior, and he might care a little less about it if he was the only orange Misterican left but he's not and something about calling him strictly by color like a name feels so derogatory.
It's weird. He's been called names like Orangey and Orange Boy his whole life by friends and family and he never flinched but when a Soil Soul says it.... It's gross. It doesn't feel right. It makes his stomach upset.
Even if he told himself he's been called worse, he can't shake how much it pisses him off. Even when he tells himself to just ignore it.
When this arrogant soil born child says it -
Saying he doesn't care is the last straw. Saying he's only out here because he saw him leave is the bend in the wind that breaks him. The child didn't see the stunt he pulled back in town. Making his presence as the silencer known when there are wanted posters with his description on them posted every where.
He stuck his neck out for this kid and this soil bound brat can't even use his fucking name.
"Haista vittuun ylimielinen maasielu." (Fuck off you arrogant soil soul)
He's growling in a language much more comfortable as he glares the daggers at the back of a head of darkly colored hair. His anger flares to new levels while he feels mist rolling from his nose only to get caught within the filters of his mask before it can prove a threat.
"You're all the same. Soil Souls who think they're better than us just because we're Mist based. I am tired of you arrogant Soil Souls treating us like garbage just because you can. I came OUT HERE because I didn't want a child out in this hell alone when they didn't know how Wonderland functioned, but sure let's go with that. Say I don't care if it soothes your ego. I am getting you back to the Comodeen and that's it. And when we get there, stay away from my husband."
He can't hold back an annoyed groan when Orange mentions how he went about his little interrogation earlier. He knows he messed up. He doesn't need to be reminded of it. He doesn't plan on going about it that way again. Although he really wouldn't hesitate to go through with his threats, if he had to.
He swivels around, almost stumbles because of the sudden movement, and gives Orange a scowl. He's really caught up on this name issue, isn't he?
"I can say your name. It's just a matter if I want to, and as it turns out, I don't want to." Because he's being petty right now. Besides, Blue is fine with it. He seems to be anyway. "And I'm not telling you to 'drop your horns' to me. I am just pointing out a fact."
He turns back around and sighs, continuing to move ahead. He's unsure how to feel about Orange saying that he's there to make sure he doesn't die. He's silent for a little while as he thinks it over. Eventually he groans. He should probably be a little nice.
"I...do appreciate that you're trying to keep me alive and make it back. I can't die yet." He has to see Lan Fan one last time. Then he can die. "But we both know you aren't doing this because you care. You just happened to see me leave, that's it. If someone asked you to go out, would you? I don't think so. I'm just a random human in the grand scheme of things."
#v; lessons in wonderland#theyoungprinceling#guest muse: opettaja sinfonia#// lapsi = child#//ling its not you#// he just fucking hates soil souls#// after the war with windaria - losing his father to it - almost losing his god father to it - and the damage it caused#// + the general harshness of wonderland - and being chased down and hunted by the people here for almost 20 years#// he just hates soil souls with a damn passionate#// its something he needs to work on#// its not good by any stretch of the word and he needs to work on#// he has a lot of biases and hatred towards the soil born#// he can't stand cid or many of the people at the comodeen either#tw; long post#tw; anger#tw; swearing#// just telling sinfonia he doesnt care is taking the choice away from him#// and he kinda exploded#// it's a trigger for him#// and it also hits the past trauma from when sielu and sinfonia broke up all those many many many years ago#// being told he doesn't care when he actually DOES care is a sure fire way to cause him to explode#// also sinfonia blowing up gives ling more insight on names#// and its funny how there are so many names for 1 white cloud

okay so
kill la kill
i watched kill la kill when i was 15 and i loved
i rated it a 9 on mal
it was the show that got be back into anime
(i initially watch one good show and then quite a few mid ones and so stopped watching for a while and then when this came to netflix i watched it and afterwards cowboy bebop and well the rest is history)
becvause i liked it so much and because it had a good reputation, my friend who was getting into anime tried it
and she hated it
it's so far the only anime she dropped
she subsiquently asked me why i liked it so much and then told me to watch it again now and erm
yea it's not aged well
as a side track
i like to say i have a good memory and i do. most media i can recall pretty easily. the main factor on recal being how long it's been since i watched something, and even then if i start rewatching a thing i can often remeber how the rest of it will pan out after watching a small percentage of it
with that in mind i did only watch the first episode and scan through the rest of the series so this "rewatch review" (honestly i can't even really call it that, let me know if you think i should re watch it properly and give my full thoughts on it) is gonna be far from perfect but like enough for what i'm going for
oh and spoilers from this point on
so for my previous memory of the show i love mako, ryuuko, and satsuki and on looking at it again i remembered how much i liked ira. i think all thoes characters fun and i still like them. i don't think i really have any issues with them. the music girl and the tech guy are two characters in my mind that i remeber liking somewhat but finding issues with them but i don't remember what. the other thing i really like from it was the dumb plot twist of clothes are an alien race trying to ensalve humanity by (and i think this is right i could be wrong. reading has always been difficult for me and, while i've improved over the years, i can still miss a lot of plot stuff when they suddenly dump it on me in anime. note of i watch mainly subs which is why i struggle. i tend to not like dubs) getting people to ware clothes. i also really liked how vibrent the show was and again on scanning through it again i remembered the really cool stills and artistic choices they made.
and i think thats were the positive part of this "retrospective" ends
erm yea so i think even as a kid i was initially weirded out by how little ryuuko wore but when they explained 'oh more the skin you show the stronger you are' i just accepted it and hell i was 15 and most of the characters were 15 i just let it wash over me. NOW THO man it makes me feel really uncomfy. and like i'm somewhat desensities to this stuff cos, lets be real here folks, anime can have quite a bit of that kind of stuff. either depending on when it came out or it's genre, writers, intended audience etc. but like ryuuko is initially really uncomfortable showing this much skin. and like i know she comes to accept it, and as a teen i just accpeted that she was fine with it, but Now i'm like she should never have had to accept that, she's FITHTEEN.
AND IT REALLY DOESN'T HELP THAT SENKETSU IS TOO INTO IT. like i get that he's trying to make her stronger and he wants to eat her blood or whatever. but like it's so weird. i think as a kid i just chose to ignore it/became desencitised to it/could read it properly but i did also not like him. so much so that i forgot he could fucking talk, hell was even sentient, till i rewatch the first episode. like if senketsu was a woman it would have been better. NOT BY MUCH, but idk it feel a little more bearable to me now if i was gonna rewatch it.
i don't even really want to mention ryuuko and satsuki's mother. can i just not think about it. she was disguysting to me as a kid and i hated her and what she did to not only ryuuko, satsuki, her husnabd and the pink girl (what the fucks her name nui) has always started with me (even if the exact details of what she did from my memory vary from charcter to character) and i'm glad she died. i'm not gonna go into wwhat she did and the order of characters is not in an order of which thing is he to them i find most ogreegous. i just. imma move on i can't deal with that bitch
what else... oh yea i forgot how pervy mako's dad brother and dog is towards ryuuko. that sucks.
there are other reasons that it now just kinda makes me uncomfortabnle. again i might rewatch it to get my full thoughts on it but like idk if i should. let me know if you think i should comit to the bit
but like so now
now i don't know what to do. it's had been one of my favoruites fro ages and it was like the first one i put on my mal favorites list. i had to take it of cos like it can no longer hold that placxe in my heart now cos it makes me feel icky. it sucks re watching a show and thinking it's not that bad, my was a little weird in places but shows from then were like that, and then finding out it's so much worse than you remember.
whats really bezarre is that i don't know if i can recomend itanymore. like the my friend who watched and dropped it can handle like wierd scenes, some nudity, darker topcis, the works. i can handle a little less than them but still a lot (liike i watched the worse parts of elfen leid before stopping and that was beceuase it was doing all these things with nothing to say about it. it was just to be edgey) but this just both of us just feel so aaaaah now
i think watching it at 15 and having thoes 5 years of really likeing it was fine. like i think 15 is probaly the only age i could have watched it at for me to enjoy it as much as i did. i'll still hold ryuuko, mako ans satsuki in my heart as i really liked their charcters (hell ages ago i considered getting ryuuko and satsuki's figures in their normal school uniforms, or the ones in the last end credit scene when everything is hunky dory again. NOT and i repeat NOT their fighting outfits) but ultimatly the shows not aged well and even for the time they should have made from different creative choices
#man i started this earlier today but still had other shit to do before finishing off#i legit don't know if i should watch it again or not#i don't think i'll get any big insightes into it if i did#but i also feel like i'm being harsh to a show i havn't properly rewatch with my new and improved reading and analysis skills#the first 13 episodes of sailor moon are copming soon i'm just busy with seeingpeople befopre moving back to uni#gosd i need to sleep but i alsio need shower#times are haaaaaaaaaarrrrrrd

“Y/n, you can’t be serious,” Rafe says, his voice laced with disbelief as he stares at you, searching your face for any sign that you might be joking. But your expression remains unyielding, eyes steady as you readjust Leo in your arms, his small hands clutching at you as he feeds. “I’m serious,” you say, your tone casual as you shrug, though the gravity of your words lingers heavily between you.
The tension in the room is palpable. Rafe scoffs, a bitter sound escaping his lips as he shakes his head in disbelief. Without another word, he pushes himself up from the couch, his movements stiff with frustration. He crosses the room with purposeful strides, heading straight for the bar cart. The clink of the whisky bottle against the glass is sharp in the silence, followed by the harsh slam of the glass hitting the cart, the sound echoing through the stillness of the room.
“He hasn’t even turned one yet, and you’re already considering leaving him in the care of someone we don’t even know?” Rafe’s voice is strained with disbelief, his eyes narrowing as he struggles to grasp your logic. . “What is this really about? You want more time for yourself? To get your hair and nails done, meet up with your friends, take boat rides?” His voice is laced with incredulity, each word carrying a mix of accusation and frustration as if he can’t believe you would even consider such a thing.
“You want to hand him over to a stranger—someone who doesn’t know his little habits, his cries, the way he needs to be held to fall asleep?” Rafe’s words tumble out in a rush, his voice thick with a blend of incredulity and concern. It’s as if he can’t even comprehend how you could entertain the idea, the very thought seeming impossible to him.
You let out a soft, disbelieving snort, shaking your head. “And you do, Rafe? You think you know him better than anyone else?” Your voice drips with sarcasm as you meet his gaze, your eyes daring him to challenge you. “When was the last time you were the one pacing the floor at 3 in the morning, trying to calm him down? When have you spent hours figuring out his cries, trying to understand what he needs?”
Rafe stares at you, his expression a mix of frustration and disbelief. “You’re his mother—” But before he can finish, you cut him off, your voice trembling with a mix of anger and desperation. “And I’m trying, Rafe! I’m trying so hard, but it never feels like enough. I can’t seem to get it right, no matter what I do.” Your voice cracks as the weight of your words hangs between you, the raw vulnerability in your tone cutting through the tension like a knife.
“I’m 21, for heaven’s sake!” you exclaim, your frustration boiling over. “I’m still figuring this out, and every day feels like a battle. I’m doing my best, but it’s like I’m constantly failing.” The words spill out in a rush, your voice wavering with the pressure of trying to live up to expectations that feel impossible to meet.
Rafe’s eyes narrow as he leans forward, his voice biting, “Don’t sit there and pretend you weren’t raised for this,” Rafe says, his voice cold and cutting. “You knew from the moment your parents arranged this marriage that your role was to be a mother. They didn’t raise you to chase dreams or find yourself—they raised you to bear children, to fulfill your duty as a wife. So don’t act like this is some surprise or burden you weren’t prepared for.”
You feel a sharp pang in your chest as Rafe’s harsh words sink in, his coldness taking you by surprise. For a moment, you’re too stunned to respond, the sting of his accusation cutting deeper than you expected. You roll your eyes, more out of defense than annoyance, trying to push the hurt aside. Exhaling slowly, you steady yourself, refusing to let him see how much his words have affected you.
“Leo will have a nanny,” you say, your voice firmer than you feel. “This isn’t up for debate.” The words come out with a finality that leaves no room for argument, though the hurt lingers beneath your resolve. “End of conversation.” Rafe pinches the bridge of his nose, his frustration boiling over into raw anger.
“No, he will not!” he snaps, his voice sharp and intense. “I won’t have a stranger looking after our son—my son!” His words are a burst of anger, his eyes blazing as he struggles to contain the fury coursing through him. You roll your eyes again, your patience wearing thin as Rafe's anger fuels your own frustration.
“You’re being dramatic, Rafe,” you retort, trying to keep your tone steady despite your mounting irritation. “In my family, we all had nannies before we were even four months old—” But before you can finish, Rafe’s voice rises in a harsh yell that slices through your words. “This is our family, Y/N!” he shouts, his frustration exploding into full-blown anger.
“Our family! Not just yours. We don’t have to raise our children the way your parents did!” His voice echoes with the force of his rage, the intensity of his glare adding to the weight of his outburst. His voice reverberates off the walls, filling the room with a palpable tension as Leo starts to fuss.
His soft whimpers quickly escalate into full-blown cries, the sound piercing through the charged atmosphere. You flinch at the noise, your heart tightening with a mix of anger and frustration. “Will you lower your voice?” you snap, your own frustration surfacing as you hastily adjust your top, trying to soothe Leo by bouncing him gently in your arms.
Rafe runs a hand through his buzz cut, letting out a loud, exasperated sigh. His shoulders are tense as he plants his hands on his hips, watching you with a mixture of frustration and disbelief while you struggle to soothe Leo. “Look what you’ve done,” you say sharply, your voice cracking with frustration as you glare at him. “He was perfectly calm before you started yelling.”
Rafe’s eyes flash with irritation as he retorts, rolling his eyes dramatically. “Yeah, yeah, blame it all on me,” he snaps, his voice dripping with sarcasm. He turns and heads towards the door, clearly ready to escape the charged atmosphere. As he walks past you, you reach out and grip his arm, the strength in your hold betraying your desperation.
He stops and looks down at you, his expression softening slightly as he registers the plea in your eyes. “Please, just don’t argue with me right now,” you say, your voice dropping to a softer, more vulnerable tone. “Leo will be better off with someone who knows what they’re doing.” The earnestness in your plea hangs heavy in the air, cutting through the tension.
Rafe takes a deep breath, the anger in his eyes giving way to a more contemplative look. “I get to choose who the nanny is,” he says, his voice still firm but less harsh. You nod slowly, a quiet resignation in your expression as you release his arm, allowing him to leave.

Neptune In The Houses: Where Does Reality Blur For You

Remember when we were kids, lying in the grass with our eyes closed, feeling weightless as our thoughts drifted into our imagination? Remember the things you envisioned—those dreams that made you think, I can actually do that one day? The excitement that came with the possibilities your mind created.
As you grew older, those visions expanded, evolving from childhood fantasies into grander, more intricate dreams. Your mind became a tantalizing place to escape when reality felt mundane. That’s Neptune. Neptune connects us to the transcendent—something beyond this 3D world, something ethereal, otherworldly, and deeply spiritual. It isn’t always grounded in the here and now, but it brings a sense of wonder and inspiration that we often need.
Today, we’re diving into the house your Neptune falls in to explore where your imagination thrives and where your reality becomes blurred.
Neptune in the 1st House
With Neptune in the first house, your identity is elusive, ever-changing, and difficult to define. Others struggle to understand you, and at times, you may not even fully understand yourself. Yet, this mystery makes you captivating—there’s something mystical, almost hypnotic about you that draws people in, leaving them wanting to know more.
Neptune in the 2nd House
You aren’t someone who fixates on the external world. Instead, your mind is filled with grand visions—dream homes, vast landscapes, oceans, and forests more beautiful than anything found on Earth. You escape into this fantasy, envisioning a life you don’t yet have but deeply desire. Your imagination is so vivid that in your mind, you’ve already built a home, married your soulmate, and made a fortune. However, translating these dreams into reality can be challenging, as you often get lost in your idealized world, neglecting the tangible steps needed to achieve it.
Neptune in the 3rd House
Conversations with you feel otherworldly. You possess deep spiritual insight, and at times, speaking to you can feel like talking to a guru, an enlightened being, or even a prophet. Yet, your words can also be tangled, confusing, or misinterpreted. People may either find you profoundly wise or hopelessly abstract—are you an oracle of hidden truths or just someone lost in a web of words?
Neptune in the 4th House
As a child, you were likely a dreamer—the one gazing out the car window for hours, lost in thought, or retreating into books, movies, and daydreams. Even when physically present, you often felt distant from your family, detached from the dynamics of home life. This placement creates a sense of emotional fog around your upbringing; you may remember your childhood in an idealized, dreamlike way or struggle to truly understand your roots. People close to you might notice this distance, sometimes wondering if you even see them clearly at all.
Neptune in the 5th House
You live for art, beauty, and creativity. Music, dance, film, painting—anything that allows you to escape into a world of imagination captivates you. The harshness of reality often feels unbearable, so you seek solace in aesthetics and pleasure. You’d rather spend your time lost in an artistic trance, painting serene landscapes or listening to ethereal music, than dealing with mundane responsibilities. Reality may seem dull compared to the vibrant world your mind conjures, and as a result, you may struggle to stay grounded in practical matters.
Neptune in the 6th House
Daily life feels burdensome, and routine is something you resist. Traditional jobs bore you, school fails to capture your interest, and the idea of a strict 9-to-5 schedule makes you restless. You crave flexibility, spontaneity, and romanticized alternatives to mundane obligations. Often, you either avoid structure altogether or find ways to modify it to your liking. This placement can also bring difficulties in recognizing health issues—you may not notice when you’re unwell until symptoms become severe. A lack of discipline and a tendency toward escapism can lead to dependency on others for support.
Neptune in the 7th House
Relationships are complicated for you because you tend to see people through a hazy, idealized lens. You often overlook red flags, failing to recognize when someone doesn’t have good intentions. This makes you vulnerable to deception, as you may trust people who secretly resent you or mistake toxic relationships for deep connections. Love, in particular, is highly romanticized here—you fall hard and fast, sometimes without seeing the truth of your partner until reality inevitably crashes down. With Neptune in the 7th, discernment isn’t your strong suit; instead, you are gifted (or cursed) with illusion.
Neptune in the 8th House
This placement pulls you into the depths of the unknown, sometimes so deeply that you lose all sense of reality. You exist in a world of shadows, illusions, and profound transformation, but the scariest part is that you may not even realize how lost you are. You might believe you’re in control when, in truth, you’re drowning in the depths of your own subconscious. Often, you think you’re thriving, only for a sudden crisis to reveal that your reality is much more fragile than you believed. This placement brings an intense connection to hidden truths, but it also makes self-deception dangerously easy.
Neptune in the 9th House
You are deeply spiritual and philosophical, sometimes to the point of wanting to detach completely from the human experience. A part of you longs to embrace life, while another part dreams of escaping—whether through travel, spirituality, or even complete withdrawal from society. Your ideals are vast, but they are often too far-reaching, leading to deep disappointment when the real world fails to meet your expectations. You have immense knowledge of metaphysical and spiritual concepts, making you a natural preacher, mystic, or even a cult leader—your ability to inspire others with your vision is unparalleled.
Neptune in the 10th House
The world sees you through a dreamlike lens—people may idealize you, projecting onto you an image of purity, kindness, and wisdom. However, beneath this illusion, there may be a hidden struggle, a chaos that others fail to recognize. You often feel misunderstood, as if no one truly knows the real you. Career-wise, the traditional workforce is not for you—you need a path that allows for creativity, mysticism, and freedom. Finding the right career is challenging, and you may go through multiple reinventions before discovering your true calling.
Neptune in the 11th House
You exist in two worlds—the real one and the one you create online. The internet, social media, or virtual communities become your escape, allowing you to construct an identity that may not fully align with your real-life self. Friendships also serve as a form of escapism—you may surround yourself with people who share your fantasies, whether through music festivals, role-playing, or immersive subcultures. If not, then you likely find solace in fictional worlds, obsessing over books, anime, or artistic movements that transport you beyond the limitations of everyday life.
Neptune in the 12th House
You are otherworldly. You weren’t meant to be here, yet somehow, you arrived. The physical world often feels overwhelming, harsh, and foreign, making it difficult for you to stay grounded in reality. Logic, structure, and practicality are challenging concepts, and you may retreat into isolation or escape into your own dream world to cope. There’s an ethereal quality to you, as if you are only half-present in this realm while the other half exists in some distant, spiritual plane. Are you an alien soul? A misplaced entity? A wanderer between worlds? No one truly knows—including you.
