It's funny how many times I've gone out with the intention of finding that compositionally "perfect" photograph with a specific destination in mind, and come back from my trip only to realize that some of my best photos were taken whilst walking towards that location. And if you think about it more, it's a perfect metaphor for life. We spend so much time fixated on some destination in our future with unfounded promises of happiness, wealth, and success. And it's only once we arrive that we realize it didn't quite live up to our expectations, all while disregarding the incredible feats we overcame to arrive. This is Isle of Wight. The magickal island on the southern part of UK. I spent the late winter and spring there and was so inspired by its energy that when I came back to the Czech Republic I sit down and wrote my new novel in a few weeks. The novel is set on the island, it's magickal like the place itself. More to come! Maják Svaté Kateřiny na ostrově Wight u Anglie.
