Since I heard her name I couldn't get the similarities between Galicea (fantasy high) and Galatea (Greek mythology). The myth of Galatea is basically that an incredibly skilled sculptor was incredibly repulsed by the idea that women could speak and express themselves, but he still wanted a girlfriend so he made a marble statue and named her Galatea (Roughly translate to white as milk). But he soon realized that a less comfortable body pillow wasn’t the best option for a fulfilling relationship so he asked Aphrodite for help. The goddess then transformed Galatea into a real woman who, unfortunately, could talk and have emotions and opinions so their whole thing kind of fell apart. All this to say, I think this myth of Galatea where she is only accepted when she follows a very strict set of rules laid out for her by the person who is supposed to love her, has some very intriguing parallels to Galacea the “werewolf moon” goddess, being forced into just “moon” goddess she isn’t by her followers, who only accept her as a restricted version of herself that can’t express the werewolf aspect of her divinity.
I don’t know if this was intentional on Brennan's part, but considering there have been a lot of different parallels with characters with greek myth inspired/adjacent names i wouldnt put it past him. Either way I hope we get to see more interactions between Cassandra and Galicea because I wanna know what their sibling relationship was. Were they on good terms? Was it another Abernant situation? What did Galacea think of Ankarna? How did Galicea react when her sister became the nightmare king? Did she know? I need the rest of the season to drop tomorrow. I swear to god I wanna know everything KNOW!

Skyrim. I have another gripe.
I really really wish Skyrim didn't lean into Dibella being the Divine of intimacy as much as they did. They didn't even really take a Goddess of Beauty route either? Which they could've, but they chose to make her solely a Sex God for no reason..?
Even how she's portrayed in her statues furthers that interpretation, and it really irks me bc she's my 2nd favorite Divine (1st is Mara). She is the goddess of music, art, beauty, AND intimacy
In Oblivion, her ties to art were prevalent and mentioned, even having a dedicated quest associated with that specific aspect of her (A Brush with Death). She was depicted fully clothed like any of the other Divines, she wasn't seen as less respectable to worship than anybody else.
But with Skyrim? Her priestesses came off as reclusive man haters, and the only other quest her or her followers are centered in require you to slut shame someone who follows her teachings. Do we not see how that's a poor depiction? And people just... went with it! A lot of people see Dibellan followers as sex fiends and the Temple of Dibella in Markarth (<3) as some sex cult.
I am not taking Regional differences as an excuse, I think it's a genuine bastardization of her character, and the fault is on Bethesda. Are you telling me there's no artists, no musicians who would respect her in the whole province of Skyrim? How does the BARDS COLLEGE make no mention of her? You are meaning to tell me that a SCHOOL FULL of MUSICIANS wouldn't have at least ONE dedicated shrine to Dibella. It makes no sense to me.
TL;DR: Skyrim made Dibella Sanguine-Lite, and I hate it.

fuchsia also being girlboss-isms under capitalism “you go girl!!” but still oppressing the lower class (women). beforus being an ‘idilic’ society with social security in place but still having misogyny and hemo issues.
jades (female coded) are expected to do reproductive labor and meenah is… like its easy 2 see meenah a brat for dodging her royal responsibilities especially if its for ‘helping people’ but fuchsias are also women coded and serving people for sweeps (or until the current empress dies) is a Thing.
contemplating intersectionality between hemo shit and actual misogyny is… something.

Amarantha: If I give you an eye in a ring, will you give me a kiss? Tamlin: *staring at Jurian's eyeball* What in the actual...
Inspired by @kateprincessofbluewhales hilarious post.
In all seriousness, though. Why are eyes Amarantha’s thing?? Eye know why. ;)
OK, OK. Now I'll be serious.
So, it turns out that it's a reference to the original Ballad of Tam Lin (well, one of many versions). When Janet wins Tam Lin back from the faeries on All Hallow's Eve, the Faerie Queen is naturally furious.
'But had I kend, Tam Lin,' she says, 'What now this night I see, I wad hae taen out thy twa grey een, And put twa een o tree.'
Translation:
"If I had known that this [your rescue] was going to happen, I would have taken out your eyes and replaced them with wooden ones."
Savage.
Depending on the version, she also says that she wishes she had thought to replace his fleshy heart with one of stone, so that he could never feel Janet's love. (That explains why SJM added that detail into ACOTAR, too.)
While the eye thing can be interpreted in a similar fashion (so that he cannot look upon his love), there's another reason she might have wanted to blind him. At the time the Ballad was written, there were folk tales that told of mortals that obtained faerie sight (and wisdom) that they should not have had, and were later blinded (or had their eyes plucked out entirely) by the faeries when their knowledge is discovered.
So, there you have it! There was a precedence for Amarantha’s weird obsession with eyes, after all. :}

I don’t care if it’s has already been debunked. I don’t care if it isn’t a “widely accepted truth.”
Alternatively, if you had to create a theory video about Generation Loss, what would it be about?
Please put in the tags how/why you believe what you believe cause I'm fascinated by the vastly different interpretations people can make from this project! :D

“LIAR! You definitely meant to hit me!” the mechanic immediately accused, glaring at the other through the waterworks. “You don’t even look remorseful about it! What would you do if I got amnesia because of that, huh?? E-even if you don’t care about me, how would Haj feel is his bestiest of soul besties forgets about him??? What if I died??”
Yes, he was aware that he was being a little dramatic but no, he wasn’t going to stop throwing a fit until the other apologizes. While it didn’t actually hurt him to a degree he couldn’t handle, it still gave him a good scare. He pouted at the other. “I’ll tell Haj on you if you don’t say sorry. Also kiss my boo-boo away.”
