@sabertoothwalrus Now that people are interested in moles. These three moles are not related.

Top one is Laurasiatheria (same superorder as dogs, horses, bats, and hedgehogs)

Middle one is Afrotheria (same superorder as elephants, tenrecs, aardvarks, and manatees)

And the bottom one is Australidelphia (same superorder as cuscuses, quolls, bandicoots, and wallabies)

All three have convergently evolved to be moles! How cool is that!

rough painting/sketch?? thing from my characters + environments class! we did a quick prompt for villains based on fears (the one i ended up getting was megalophobia/the fear of things that are Too Big)

weather and severe storms (and tornadoes specifically) have been a special interest of mine since childhood and it just so happened that many of the images you get when searching that fear were tornadoes so 100% used this as an excuse to draw a tornado... person? thing? sure yea. 

 this is real messy and i dont plan on revisiting this anytime soon but it works for what i needed it for!

Pinnate Batfish adults are normally solitary but will gather in large schools to move over open substrates. The juveniles are mimics of a toxic species of flatworm by colour and shape. They feed on algae as well as jellyfish and other gelatinous zooplankton. This species has been observed to significantly reduce algal growths on coral in studies simulating the effects of overfishing on the Great Barrier Reef.

ghost sharks have long tapering bodies and incredibly large heads. their skin ranges in color from black to pale blue to brownish grey and is quite smooth. they have large eyes, oversized nostrils, and large, visible teeth, which give them a rabbit-like appearance, though within their mouths are three tooth plates.

ghost sharks have mineralized tooth plates. they use these teeth to crush mollusks and worms, making for an interesting diet.

ghost sharks primarily caught as bycatch. while their meat is edible, the majority of their commercial value comes from their livers, which contain an oil known as squalene that's used in a wide variety of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.
