Yes, you will require house plans, to put it simply. For the city to approve your permit application and for your builder to accurately complete their task, you will often require expert construction and permit drawings for your project.

Hey, this is gonna sound incredibly random, but could I perhaps get a close up of Victoria's room from the character sheet?
The little picture of her room from the character sheet but on it's own, basically?
After seeing it I've been thinking about doing something similar for my own oc's because I think it's a very simple way of designing interiors but also very effective... Like you get a clear idea of what the room looks like but it's not hyperdetailed which makes it far easier to draw.
I know that I can just zoom in myself but a higher quality version would make it easier, if it's not a bother to you.
PS. I really like your art! I hope you have a great day! 💚💚💚
aaa thank you so much, hearing that makes me super freaking happy!! 😭✨
sure, i actually had to scale the full sketch down a bit to have it fit on victoria's character sheet so here's the higher quality version of it (+ the grand auditorium background i did for her info sheet. )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
however, i do wanna give credit where it's due — these were my attempts at imitating catherine unger's environment design work on tangle tower, i referenced her work heavily while drawing these. i highly recommend checking out her work instead, especially the concept art she did for the game's locations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
( using freya's room as an example bc it's one of my favorite locations in the game. )
one of my favorite features of tangle tower is that it has an art gallery in the main menu where you can get some insight on the game's visual development and there's a whole section of it dedicated to every single location featured in the game. if you don't wanna play the game, you can also access the concept art + final designs of each location by checking out the detective grimoire wikia. the visual development for this game is so freaking good and has inspired me a lot, please give it a look!
oh, i almost forgot. catherine unger also has a tumblr so definitely go give her a follow!

okay about the art school au
tell me if you have any bright sparkling ideas for this au bc god knows i would eat them up. like i said before i know johanna is a graphic designer now but she has roots in illustration theyre like siblings. she leans towards children's books, making up stories and weird wonderful characters out of thin air. her work is also very botanical - her doodles in the show are full of winding plants and flowers. she could fill a page with dense undergrowth.
gerda is a student too but she's like that one teacher that just LOVES fonts. she is graphic design, product design, interior design, going back and forth between the computer room and the workshop to lasercut something or to build a weird chair. she could probably run a company marketing department at 18.
i also said kaisa is an analogue photography girl. she doesn't really care for most commercial photography she's like a man ray superfan and probably gets snotty about using digital cameras sometimes but loves to mess around with unconventional and cameraless methods. she might smell like chemicals. she doesn't want anyone close enough to be able to tell. she has always been an academic nerd and it shines in her artist research, drawing from the most conceptual artworks and fascinating herself with what there is to discover about them. she would love mike nelson.
edmund is perpetually covered in ink, of all colours, on his hands and his face. he's constantly workshopping prints of all kinds, one of his final pieces being a gigantic woodcut relief print depicting mythical creatures with lots of iconographic detail (think luke pearson's norse-inspired patterns o_<). he takes print room safety VERY seriously. do not put your hands or hair anywhere near the roller on the press. he will get you.
ive got like an outline idea for 6-8 chapters depending on whether i do it as a comic or writing? comics take so much effort for comparatively less story coverage so it would be a big endeavor but i would really love to have it all in visuals (also i'm not a superstar writer?) it's so difficult because some things i want to describe like in written word but some things i want to have visual 😭 artwork between paragraphs could be good but idk how cohesive it would be and it might be a bit jarring to suddenly be reading what you were looking at and vice versa.. that kind of thing works really well for a memoir like alison bechdel's fun home but not so much straightforward fictional story idkkkk... i can like see some panels in my head but i also want to do long descriptions and idrk if i want to mash them together. if i really do this it's going to take some PLANNING
victoria is still crazy but in a much more creative way. she loves to discuss everyone's work with them, she loves weird and experimental stuff. she likes to make elaborate and unconventional sets, props, and costumes for her colourful multi-media short films. she loves any art that moves, and makes great use of audio, sampling heavy thunderstorms pretty often.
AND! if i included the creatures (as people) then tontu would be a fashion & textiles tutor. i shan't be taking questions.
Tumblr media
also thank you for the inspiring tags @the-hilda-librarians-wife 😭 your hospital au was so awesome i might find myself doing footnotes like you did, describing techniques and stuff where it would be out of place to just straight up write it down in the story.. bc i am gonna get SCIENTIFIC with the photography
(if it was a comic i'm thinking about the fun I'd have with speech bubbles especially in a classroom/studio - one of my hugest ever inspirations is anatola howard and this comic is so spectacular for speech bubbles lol)

Granola Luke meta
OKAY OKAY OKAY I've been meaning to do this for a hot minute, but here's the quick and dirty Christmas AU Luke meta
He wears earth tones, high-waisted straight-leg Levi's, overalls, loose cardigans and sweaters and jumpers with embroidered flowers and trees on them
his hair is like, idk just past his shoulders and curly. He has an elaborate plopping and diffusing routine
he has a scrunchie collection
His novel is an in-universe rendition of IJADIHIM, cause why not
he moved to Victoria to live with his Aunt Sola and his cousins at 15 and went to high school in BC, which is where he met Din
Their house was a gift to Din and Luke for Luke's 21st birthday from Anakin and Padme
Luke has an in-universe tattoo of a lightsaber up his spine
But he as a few more, suns and flowers and trees all over his body
He has the Aritizia puffer, Lululemon aligns and Blundstone's and dresses like a basic BC granola bitch and I LOVE it for him
He practices yoga and has been playing with the idea of taking teachers training for years
he learnt pottery as a form of meditation, but also creating things with his hand is the easiest way for him to process the plotting for his book
They have a little studio Din built for him as an addition to the house. It's surrounded by windows and has a little fireplace in it
He plays piano, lots of improvised arpeggios and bon iver
Din and Luke have seen every Taylor Swift concert from Fearless on, their first not-quite-dates but sorta-dates
Luke and Leia grew up with wealth and privilege and both handled it differently. Since Leia lives on the farm in small-town Alberta and Luke lives in BC with Din, neither are involved directly with the family company
Luke took Padme's surname, but Leia is a Skywalker
Their house is paid for and the land is theirs, so Din's shop and Luke's books more than pay for their lifestyle
Luke isn't one for jewelry, rings and bracelets get in his way. But he has a bar necklace with his name on it that Din gave him for his birthday one year and he's yet to take it off
He drinks tea lattes and has big opinions on the correct way to brew coffee. He also exclusively drinks oat milk
both he and Din are huge foodies and are very competent cooks
which is 10000% from Padme and Sabe, who taught them before they left for university
Luke has like... ten zillion house plants
including the jade Leia got as a present from Aunt Sola that she didn't want and... didn't take home after their birthday that year. It's lived on their credenza ever since
Most of their furniture is either handmade by Din and Anakin or vintage
Their house is a modified A-frame, and the interior vibes are white panelling, sage green cabinets, brass and copper and black accents with plank wood floors
Luke writes all over the house, on the floor, in his bed, on their patio when the sun goes down in the summer and can often be found staring off into space while he looks for the word he has in mind
He has reading glasses that have... gigantic frames
all of the cups they cast for Luke's 25th birthday have Din and Luke's thumbprints on the cup handle designating the cups they made
...I could truly go on and on

Hi! 6, 10, 19, 30, 32 for the ask game <3
thank u!!! 💖
6. Sweet or salty snacks?
oooooh either honestly!
10. Date ideas: chilling at home or fancy restaurant?
both are lovely in their own ways! 💖 big fan of the fancy restaurant, then going home and chilling in our mutual food coma 😂
19. What are your favourite perfumes?
I can’t rly wear real perfume bc it triggers my migraines but Juicy Couture currently has a perfume out called OUI Juicy Couture Splash and I’m kinda obsessed with it. I also love the smell of the Victoria’s Secret Bombshell bc it’s one my mom wears 😭 I like a lot of body sprays and stuff like that, the ones that are water-based and lighter than actual perfumes, Bath & Body Works makes some of my fave scents especially their “In the Stars” one ✨
30. Your favourite season?
I love spring and fall for the weather but spring is emotionally difficult for me (some big anniversaries) so fall! I live in the Midwest so the trees change, it gets to be sweatshirt weather, football comes back and all 4 major league sports are active 🏈⚾️🏀🏒 it’s not sticky and sweaty and humid anymore, the holidays are approaching, and my birthday is in late fall!
32. Your favourite colour?
honestly I have a fondness for so many colors 😭 black is always a fave, purple too. I’ve overcome my internalized misogyny re: pink and now I’m obsessed. I love yellow. olive green and navy and violet and burgundy and mustard yellow. neons. pastels. it just depends on the application! I like different colors for my nails than for my clothes than for interior design than for making art than for makeup etc etc etc! when I was a kid I used to say my favorite color was rainbow and I think that’s still true 🌈 (I know, big surprise I turned out gay 🤪)
thank you so much ily!!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖
