I will be brief: this year was horrendous and convinced me that as 2024th rolls in, I should make a bingo of bad things to happen in the next one. Both personal and political/world. But it is thanks to you guys that I've had at least some happiness this year! Some of you talk to me regularly and others never talked to me more than once and just interact with the posts, but I appreciate all the connections I can feel! Big or small! Not gonna lie, over this year it became harder for me to express my love or appreciation due to some trust-scattering events. But sometimes even one of you as much as liking a headcanon from me or DMing me a thing I might like would pull me from a bad mood, and I am thankful that I have you all around on this blue hellsite! Some of you supported me through a hard crisis and trust me this is a core memory now even if it was our only interaction, others trusted me with your stories and I am thankful for that trust, some scream with me about cursed memes of wretching headcanons x) Some are just nice to see on my dashboard. I am just trying to say that I feel warmth in my heart from as much as realizing that we are interacting! Having people that I could tag in a Christmas post is really important for me. And if you guys are glad to see me around too, that's just MORE reasons to think this year wasn't wasted.

I hope you all had a good Christmas (or just had a good day if you do not celebrate, I for sure know some of you don't x)). We all figured that every next year is worse than the previous one, but let's make it through 2024 together and "meet" in congratulation posts like this one again! Or not. Maybe some of you will be in another place in life completely in a year, but even then I hope it will be exactly when you want to be.

I already disliked the "prev" tags thing. Then tumblr made it so that clicking on the "reblogged from" link took you to the person's blog rather than that post on their blog.

Please stop, it has become literally unusable.

That post getting all nostalgic over how “don’t feed the trolls” used to be the norm online keeps popping up, and it’s not that it’s a terrible unreasonable post or totally bad advice or anything; but it drives me a little bonkers to see people acting like that phrase went out of fashion for no reason or because everyone just got cranky or whatever. “don’t feed the trolls” is good advice when you’re a member of a well-moderated forum trying to stay on topic and keep out of flame wars. it’s not useful if you’re the one who has to moderate everything, or if you’re dealing with swatters, doxxers, brigadiers & so on; because there’s no guarantee that ignoring online harassment will make it stop, or prevent things from getting worse.
