NEGLECT TW
You were unwanted from your first breath. Born of an affair between your father and his assistant, your presence was never anything more than a stain on the Seon family’s otherwise pristine legacy. if your mother had gone quietly and accepted the hush money offered to her, maybe you would’ve lived a life without the Seon household, but your mother was never the type to idly by and allow fate to take its course. No, she demanded acknowledgment of her son, and after a drawn-out legal battle, the acknowledgment was what you received. It didn’t matter that your mother was never seen again, or that you never asked for this spotlight. No, you were officially a Seon, so clearly you must be grateful for the luxuries now at your fingertips.
Being the son of a financial services CEO meant you were gifted with the best tutors and education money could buy, but the role of bastard meant you missed out on the love a son was meant to receive from his father. No matter how hard you studied or how many extracurriculars you signed up for, your family never praised or acknowledged your success. All the attention went to your older brother Hyeon, even if he was nothing more than a mediocre version of you. Still, you held onto the delusion that, one day, your success would be recognized by those around you.
The opportunity came a few years after you graduated from university. Your father announced that he was going to select an heir to eventually take over the family company. The competition would be between you and your brother, and for once, you truly began to believe you had a shot at beating your brother. You were always good at finances, and after lurking in the shadows for so many years, you were able to pick up on “trade secrets” that others would’ve missed. You knew you would make a better CEO than your brother, but there was a small part of you that had doubts. After years of being ignored, was your father finally opening up to the possibility of you? Or was this another way to remind you of your true place in the family?
You wished you were surprised when you discovered your father had never truly considered making anyone other than Hyeon the CEO, but the rejection still stung The realization that all of your hard work was pointless began to eat away at you, but luckily, you found a mentor in Damon Stone. The man saw the potential that your father ignored, and he took you under his wing and built you into someone worthy of the title of CEO. When it came time for him to retire and pass on his legacy, he overlooked his own children and awarded you the title instead--- an honor that you're sure pissed off your father, even if it had been his own failures that led you to someone else's company.
Your work with Stoneage Industries, both before your promotion to CEO and afterward, had caught the attention of the Burning Gods. You never intended to go down the path of corruption, but once the Burning Gods approached you with an offer to join their team, you couldn’t resist fading into the shadows of the underworld. As you worked your way up the ranks, your ambition not only came back— it grew more twisted. You became more invested in white-collar crimes and found yourself on a mission to destroy your family’s corporation and similar entities. Why should they continue to thrive after all the neglect they offered you? It was only right that they suffered the same pain you felt all those years. Only time will tell if you complete your quest for justice, or if you end up becoming even more corrupt than the entities you decided to target.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.

You wished you were surprised when you discovered your father had never truly considered making anyone other than Hyeon the CEO, but the rejection still stung The realization that all of your hard work was pointless began to eat away at you, and after a while, you found yourself rebelling against your life. What did high grades and ambition matter when you never got a chance to prove yourself? Why try when someone less worthy will end up with the crown anyway? That mentality led you down a dark path, and you found yourself running away from South Korea and into the arms of Japan's underbelly.
You spent the first six months stumbling from club to club, trying desperately to drown your frustrations and disappointment in your various vices. You were a lost soul shattered by your circumstances, and perhaps this was the reason why you were approached by a member of the Sowakatsu-Kai. Perhaps they saw you as an easy target--- a man who could become indebted to them with nothing more than a bottle of gin and a welcoming smile. They would soon find out that you tucked a calculating and cold mind behind your broken facade, and that secured your ticket into their organization.
As you worked your way up the ranks, your ambition not only came back— it grew more twisted. You began to reflect on your old ways, how they left you feeling lost and vulnerable in a new city, and you realized the mob could capitalize on the innocence of other lost souls. This dark realization led you to build INFERNO, a casino that entices even the most heavenly person to dip their fingers into sin. You use this business to build your mob's clientele and catch debtors in your grasp, but you know that no matter how high you climb, the sting of rejection from your father will always haunt your steps.

People who owe Haneul money

(daniel henney, he/him, dreamshade) to KANG HANEUL, the whole world looks like an open page. with a leap of faith, their ability of VERTIGO INDUCEMENT grows a little stronger.  they are a LEVIATHAN shade aligned to NO ONE. for TWO HUNDRED AND FOUR years, they have survived a world of magic with both their AMBITION and IMPULSION. they work as a 'DEEP SEA DIVER' & LOAN 'SHARK' / RESTAURANT OWNER, but if they could change their fate, they’d want to FIND EXCITEMENT IN LIFE AGAIN.
DOSSIER .
His birth hadn't been planned in the slightest, but his mother raised him with great care and surprising diligence. Most of his childhood was under heavy supervision since he wasn't like his mother. Not completely at least. There was always the room for something different and odd to occur given who his father was, and his mother's suspicions ended up being correct. The manifestation of his vertigo based abilities came when he reached adulthood. He was what one would consider a 'late bloomer', but he proved to be very efficient with harnessing the new powers he possessed.
Haneul spent a lot of time pretending to be one with the land dwellers, but not in a traditional sense. No, he would blend in among the people that had adept sea legs and a knack for navigating unrelenting waves. Pirates, nondescript sailors, and the like — all were joined under his cleverly formed disguise. He would mingle among them for weeks, even months, as he altered the course of the ship. It took a lot of time, practice and patience for him to do so, but it wasn't an impossible task when he was able to influence people through carefully timed bouts of dizziness and dulcet charm.
He'd always lead them to areas plagued with strong storms to render the ship useless in the merciless currents. It’d always send the crew into a panic whenever the ship capsized or crashed into natural structures. Then Haneul would call upon a cluster of similar appetites to feast. A few of the crew's souls would be plucked and eaten en route, but Haneul was always sure to save enough for those that resided with his mother.
A century was spent in such a manner; living grand and large with a full belly and endless treasures. Yet the thrill of it all grew less and less with time. Haneul stopped living among his targets as frequently, and chose to bide his time until a crew caught his interest. And when said crew docked on the nearby sandy shore.. well, he repeated the process once again. Except the chain of events that followed broke past the norm. See, the crew he had integrated with weren't mundane sailors. They were skilled hunters under the guise of normies, and they played him like a fool to a fiddle.
Haneul had managed to cut their numbers by one before someone caught on. Said someone just so happened to be his next target. He might have gotten away with the consumption of the other's soul if it hadn't been for the enchanted dagger that ended up in the leviathan’s gut. Surprised, but not foolish enough to be blinded by hunger, Haneul went overboard with the promise to visit that particular hunter in the future. In the meantime, he opened up his own pub; one that welcomes the shades and humans alike. So long as there isn't any fighting involved, that is.
MISC. INFO .
When life was good — when things were in it’s prime, his ego grew beyond measure. It wasn't until he drunkenly challenged a beast of the skies did he humble himself. Not until he’d been struck by lightning and nearly died in the waves did he reconsider his pride and greed.
Because of the above, Haneul has several scars along the torso and arms, Lichtenberg figure along back & burn marks around lower neck / clavicle. Metal accessories had been seared onto his skin when he kissed all that thunder. Thus, explains the peculiar shape of the scar around the lower neck / clavicle. Also suffers from occasional pain in back / tremors in arms (mainly his left).
Also because of nearly being smoted, he’s deaf in left ear but able to read lips relatively well ( also why he’s so boisterous ).
He’s fluent in Korean, English, ASL / KSL.
Since he’s a creature of the sea, it’s easier for Haneul to dehydrate on land. So to remedy this, he often takes long soaks in baths ( and does like to have some company too — cute lil’ date night or whatever ).
He also runs a little cold blooded! Likes to soak up the sun and warmth whenever. Yes, he has cold hands and feet — sorry to anyone that shares a bed with him.
Does, in fact, have two entire children. They’re all grown now — one’s still a hellion and thrives on mischief, the other’s more calm, cool, and collected. Both were with separate lovers that he still keeps close contact with.
CONNECTIONS.
You know of me? Well, of course you do! ( 0/? ) — Entrepreneur of an infamous sea themed pub chain, dweller of the deepest deep sea treasure / artifact retrieval, bountiful lender of gems, dollar phils, and more riches — his reputation has the tendency to proceed him. Many come to him for one reason or another; be it for business, after hour rendezvous, or one of those quickly-sparked friendships he’s uncannily good at.
Father, may I? ( 0/?) — So, like, yeah, he has two children of his own, but he’s just so generous ( with stolen riches ) that he pretty much splurges on friends, family.. pseudo kids he picked up along the way that needed a father figure ( and strictly that ). Need money for really expensive classes? Yeah, sure! Need funding for some entrepreneurial start? Sure, definitely! In need of donations? Oh, say less!
Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Sorry. ( 0/? ) — Most would call him a harlot, jezebel, etc. but Haneul just goes with the flow. If someone’s interesting and attractive then they should be treated as such! Beauty deserves to be praised so who’s he to not indulge? He’s loose as a goose and fairly noncommittal until someone can pin his attention only on them.
Villainous delights ( 0/5 ) — Boy, oh boy. That one crew might’ve gotten away, but they’re definitely not forgotten. While Haneul might not be hellbound on finding each surviving crewmember, he is going to find them all one day to repay their slipperiness with a one way ticket to a watery grave. Bonus points for the person that stabbed him. He’s got an especially big crush grudge with that one.

I JUST WATCHED THEIR PERFORMANCE AND I DID NOT EXPECT THAT INTRO THIS IS SO FUNNY
The intro, the dancers dressed as marines, the references during the dance break, the last pose to imitate Vivi's farewell... it's a pity the problems with the audio during Midas Touch but this is insane! I'm so happy!
I encourage you to watch the performance (full in the link), the first song is Sticky and the second one is Midas Touch (Midas Touch is in my top 5 songs this year, I was CONSUMED when it came out).

I was just watching Tiktos abt Horror escape rooms with the Scooby-Doo intro and I have a silly thought.
Haneul is a hunter, she had seen monsters first hand and obviously that’s scary and anyone can agree on that, even the S-rank hunters or even Nationals who confronted the Monarchs, etc.
But THIS GIRL would scream and run for her life in those places, would hug Jinwoo and shield behind him for protection while shivering like a poor defenseless bunny and prob that’s why Jinwoo never gets bored around her.
Haneul is different because she’s simple and gets to live at her fullest, sure she acts immature sometimes, or very mature or even like a mother hen. But that's the thing abt her, she's unpredictable which makes everyday unique and different.
You think she's going to be scared of Kaisel or bored? she would ask Jinwoo for a race and even warn the two of them to not even think of letting her win, she wants a fair race

it’s yaya again and i'm back with another updated intro ! this time, it's my boi haneul's turn. hit me up on @xojinnie if you have any questions or want to plot.
— welcome to infinite entertainment! it's CHOI HANEUL, who is the SECURITY of SOLOIST #1. i’ve heard whispers that the 29 year old is pretty DARING but lowkey BLUNT. also, doesn’t he remind you of KIM TAEHYUNG?
ABOUT — PINTEREST — PLOTS
UPBRINGING
haneul doesn’t really remember his birth parents — but his birth certificate had him listed as born on may 20th, 1995 in busan, south korea. at the age of three, he was left on the doorsteps of a gorgeous house in the seoungbuk district after his parents were no longer able to handle the financial and mental burden of being parents. he never heard from them again.
the wealthy owners of the house ( the choi family ) took him in. his mother struggled with pregnancies in the past, and the two were desperate for a son of their own. haneul being left on their doorstep was a perfectly timed opportunity that landed in their laps. within the first year, they adopted him.
however, haneul's position as the crowning jewel was short-lived. two years after he found his way to the chois, his mother got pregnant. she gave birth to haneul's adoptive brother and suddenly, he was no longer of much interest to them. as he got older, he felt like the black sheep of the family, like some glaring mistake in otherwise perfection. the conservative friends of his parents treated him like the ugly stepchild. and it didn't help that his parents constantly compared him to his brother, the biological pure son.
in response, haneul began to act out. being abandoned at such a young age had already scarred his psyche, and now being ignored and treated as less then only made the matters worse. it seemed like he didn't quite fit anywhere in this world and he was tired of trying. if the environment he grew up in was going to treat him like a misfit, then he might as well play the part.
haneul was considered a naturally intelligent child but growing up, he spent more time getting into trouble than actually focusing in school. fights, destruction of property, wild parties. . . acting out seemed to be the only way he didn't feel numb to his new situation. as he got older and more audacious, his parents became crueler and more withdrawn from him, unsure how to handle his unruly behavior. in their mind, this insolent outsider was making their lives living hell — so they were simply returning the favor.
the main thing that was a comfort to haneul during his childhood and teenage years was music. he loved listening to it, loved making it, loved performing to it. he listened to songs about anger, pain, and hurt and suddenly, it felt like there was someone out there who understood him. it became his form of escapism.
after reaching his wit’s end with being stifled by his supposed "family", a sixteen year old haneul tried his luck at an audition to become a trainee at infinite entertainment. he wasn’t the best there was but he had enough passion, mystery, and visual to make it in. no longer wanting to deal with him, his adoptive parents willingly agreed to let him move to seoul to train and were quick to disown the young man the moment he stepped out of the door with his bags.
TRAINEE YEARS AND DOWNFALL — drugs & alcohol tw
haneul just wanted to focus on the music. that was all that mattered to him. but upon becoming a trainee, he soon realized that he was giving up something he loved dearly: his freedom. there were so many restrictions. no drinking, no tattoos, no anything. it all became so suffocating and reminded him of the oppressed home he'd just left behind. with every rule added, he had a stronger desire to break them.
so, he did. he partied hard. he got tattoos in hidden places the staff couldn’t find. he snuck out every night. soon enough, haneul got the reputation as the trainee to "watch out for". he was known as being too careless, too arrogant, and too selfish. all that mattered to him was what he wanted. his desire to rebel quite frankly pissed off his potential future members. here they were, granted with an opportunity of a lifetime, and han was operating like a complete lost soul.
truth was, he simply didn’t know where he belonged. he knew it wasn’t with his family. he thought it would be here, surrounded by music. but it didn’t seem to matter where he was, han felt empty. and he was beginning to realize, maybe he didn’t belong anywhere. the realization was depressing as fuck. to cope with it, haneul partied way too hard one night and ended up having to be transported to the hospital after being found passed out by a peer.
after being treated for a non-fatal overdose, haneul was promptly kicked out of infinite as a trainee. he was nineteen at the time, eight months from debuting. since he would no longer debut and was in breach of his trainee contract, he now owed the company approximately 335 million won for the loss and for his expenses while being trained. infinite offered him a chance to work on the staff side of things. 50% of each of his paycheck would be returned to the company as repayment until the debt was paid. essentially, the offer was for haneul to do a shit ton of labor at a very minimum wage.
haneul initially refused to swallow his pride. he told the company to go fuck itself and told them he’d find another way to pay them back. however, his now tainted reputation followed him around seoul. no other idol company wanted to take in a flight risk and even the regular every day jobs weren’t fond that he had a record. realizing he’d be royally screwed either way, haneul reluctantly agreed to the initial offer from infinite.
A CHANGE — drugs & alcohol tw
after losing something that was so important to him, haneul spiraled out of control at the start of his twenties. his new job with infinite involved a lot of unglamorous grunt work, which was overwhelming and exhausting. that paired with the stress of his debt made things hard for him mentally. despite the terrifying incident he experienced, the young man continued to turn to drugs and alcohol as a way to deal with the shitstorm that had become his life.
due to a mere random encounter, the darkness in his life offered a beacon of light in the form of kim seonhwa. they met on new year's eve at a party and there was a pretty immediate connection. the two began to date and eventually fell in love, experiencing a lot of firsts with one another. it could have been considered an ill match: the problem child and the darling idol. but the truth was, seonhwa saw haneul for exactly who he was. she never once tried to change him, and she never once judged. it was a feeling he'd been searching for ever since he was an angry, vulnerable kid. she inspired him to try and be better.
unfortunately, it didn't prove to be enough. haneul was truthfully far too unhealed to be in such a serious relationship. his reliance on substances and immense self-loathing hindered him from growing in the relationship. seonhwa was also getting more popular and far busier and the combination of issues led to things crumbling after a year and half together.
completely and utterly at rock bottom, haneul began to work out in his free time as a form of therapy. the adrenaline kept his mind off his dark thoughts. he took up activities like boxing, taekwondo, and swimming at the shitty (but free) recreation center next to his tiny apartment.
as time passed, he began to mature and reform his behavior. his wild, cocky tendencies tapered down into more brooding, sensible ones. he stopped turning to drugs and alcohol as a salve and instead, his vices became cigarettes, weed, and the thrill of a tattoo needle.
the biggest downside was that during his worst, haneul pushed everyone who cared about him away. so even though he was finally in the healing part of his journey, he didn't have many people to help him through the lows or share his wins with. he accepted that this was the consequences of his actions, though it didn't help with the self-loathing part of his personality. he didn't want to be alone. not really. but he tolerated the idea that maybe that was what he was meant to be.
infinite took notice of haneul's emotional and physical improvement and realized he would be better used on the security side of things. he was offered a promotion to become a bodyguard for the company's newest idol set to debut — fujiwara somi aka michelle.
initially, haneul and somi butted heads. in his mind, she was purposefully trying to make his job harder. the truth was though they hated to admit it, the two were quite similar — both blunt and liking things their way. it was no surprise they had a tumultuous start to their time together. however, with years came a better understanding of one another and now, haneul would do anything to protect her. she is the little sister he never knew he wanted. he takes his job very seriously and always treats it as a top priority.
shortly after turning twenty-five, haneul completed paying off his debt owed to infinite. the company, impressed with his loyalty and maturity over the years, offered him a full-time salary and promotion to become head of michelle's security. though he holds extremely resentful feelings towards infinite, he chose to accept the offer for the sake of continuing to work with somi.
while haneul has long redeemed himself in his professional life, his personal life remained a bit of a mess. ten years had gone by since he last spoke to his family. he never once committed to another serious romantic relationship, instead preferring flings that he could detach from easily. and his tendency to be a workaholic and isolate himself during his off hours meant that he didn't have many friends to turn to.
TOUR
the 2022 infinite world tour, however, forced him to confront the mistakes and people from his past. with nowhere to escape to but in a hotel that everyone shared, haneul had to learn to make amends and prove that he's better than he once was. the time on tour not only gave him a chance to rekindle a relationship with seonhwa and former friends of the past, but also ushered in the growth to open his heart to new things and people.
despite the long, excruciating nature of the tour, haneul ended things on a rather high note. he unintentionally established himself as the company's "dad slash big brother". as one of the oldest around, he ended up being a person that others could turn to for protection and blunt advice. and in return, he was taught that maybe he doesn’t want to be as alone as he’s made himself for years.
CURRENTLY
though tour is wrapped, haneul still continues his duties as head of michelle's security. the only thing different now is that he comes home to seonhwa at the end of the night. the two of them have recently moved in together and have adopted a puppy, who haneul loves.
now that he is in a far more evolved era in his personal life, haneul now turns that feeling of unsettledness towards the future of his career. being a bodyguard had never been his endgame, or even his plan to begin with. and he's struggling to figure out what he's actually passionate about. in the meantime though, he still dedicates himself to the task until he can figure out what's next for him.
TIDBITS
personality: daring, blunt, stoic, wary, protective, intense, sardonic, evasive, intelligent
aesthetics: messy curls, the scent of amber, cigarette butts, tattoo sleeves, bruised knuckles, black coffee, blazing eyes, sharp wit
is annoyingly always viral on twitter and tiktok for being michelle’s “hot bodyguard”
can speak five languages in varying levels of mastery, thanks to his former wealthy upbringing
can play the guitar and has an affinity for songwriting and producing, but hasn’t tapped into those skills ever since he left the idol industry
love language is acts of service ! will grumble about how fucking annoying the ask is but he’ll do it anyways
has approximately 25 tattoos
he’s got a heart, i promise. it’s just buried within a wary, introverted exterior to protect himself. but if you’re one of the chosen ones, you’ve got a grizzly bear dad at your service

No, she demanded acknowledgment of her son, and after a drawn-out legal battle, the acknowledgment was what you received. It didn't matter that your mother was never seen again, or that you never asked for this spotlight.
You were always good at finances, and after lurking in the shadows for so many years, you were able to pick up on "trade secrets" that others would've missed. You knew you would make a better CEO than your brother, but there was a small part of you that had doubts. After years of being ignored, was your father finally opening up to the possibility of you? Or was this another way to remind you of your true place in the family?
You wished you were surprised when you discovered your father had never truly considered making anyone other than Hyeon the CEO, but the rejection still stung The realization that all of your hard work was pointless began to eat away at you, and after a while, you found yourself rebelling against your life. What did high grades and ambition matter when you never got a chance to prove yourself? Why try when someone less worthy will end up with the crown anyway? That mentality led you down a dark path, and you found yourself getting more involved with the underbelly of the city.
You never intended to go down the path of corruption, but once the Burning Gods approached you with an offer to join their team, you couldn't resist fading into the shadows of the underworld. As you worked your way up the ranks, your ambition not only came back--- it grew more twisted. You became more invested in white-collar crimes and found yourself on a mission to destroy your family's corporation and similar entities. Why should they continue to thrive after all the neglect they offered you? It was only right that they suffered the same pain you felt all those years. Only time will tell if you complete your quest for justice, or if you end up becoming even more corrupt than the entities you decided to target.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
Childhood acquaintances: Haneul grew up in the realm of upper-class New York. He didn't have many friends growing up, but he would most likely know socialites or other nepo babies who grew up around the city. Bonus points if your character was/is close to his brother, or if they're something spicy like the brother's fiance or Haneul's ex gf/bf. Anything related to rich assholes sticking together would be sexy honestly.
Enemies: This connection is pretty open-ended-- could've been someone who got banned from the casino and holds a grudge against the higher-ups, someone who got screwed over by Haneul or the Burning Gods during one of their crimes, or just someone who doesn't appreciate Haneul's arrogance or attitude. Haneul definitely has a complex about him from years of watching his brother get all the spotlight, so he has no doubt rubbed a few people the wrong way.
Ex-Fiance: I don't think Haneul has ever truly known love, but this would've been the closest he got to that feeling. This one can be developed through the dms, but it would be sexy if it was with a member of a rival gang or maybe a red eye member. Perhaps your character was using him to try and discover the Burning Gods' weaknesses, or maybe he was connected to your character's target and being with Haneul was a way to get closer to them. Anything that ended with betrayal and grief would be great.
I’ll probably add more ideas later but honestly down for anything :)

my fate is what? what's the right answer, really? moon jinyoung performs frost (remix) originally by cosmo with sr media team (@bexcam, @kouxbe, @behaneul, & @bejoomi  for next gen performance evaluation
they’re ready for this. surely they are; they’ve all practiced hard enough that they should know this song inside in out. the only people who may know it better are cosmo themselves and even then jinyoung thinks that sr media team may have an edge; cosmo is all but entirely unfamiliar with the new arrangement of this song. he tells himself not to think of it as cosmo’s song at all anymore. he, joomi, haneul, cam, and kou now own this; it’s theirs to take to the stage and show the judges a performance they will never forget. in a good way, he hopes.
as always, waiting for their turn to perform is the most nerve wracking part of the process. jinyoung has anxious energy. he bounces in place, shaking his hands by his side as he tries to expel those extra jitters. but not too much, because he doesn’t want to exhaust himself before the performance either. he hums the melody over and over to himself; he’s long since committed it to memory, though singing and dancing at the same time still makes him a bit nervous. haneul has helped a lot with that; the whole lip sync thing worked after all. jinyoung glances at their makeshift leader, trying to catch the man’s eye to share a reassuring smile between them. he needs to see it more than he wants to send one to haneul.
there’s cam too; he’s also been a huge help. between the two of them, their team had a lot of practical experience. throw in jinyoung’s dance prowess and joomi’s voice that impressed the judges so much and on paper, jinyoung might say that they have the strongest group of contestants of any of the other teams. and kou; they also have kou.
he can’t help but glance at joomi too. is he anxious under pressure? does he swallow it down and hide it better than jinyoung does? does he care at all that they’re about to step on stage, that they only have one shot to make it look good? jinyoung is sure that he does. they’ve been awkward these entire last two weeks and it’s probably jinyoung’s own fault. he hadn’t noticed at first how he avoided joomi; he didn’t want to touch him the same way he casually hugged and leaned on his other teammates, he didn’t have much to say to him when it came to chatting during breaks. and yet they share an intimate moment up on stage, heads nearly pressed together as they stare each other down. jinyoung is determined to be professional despite the odd relationship between them. he thinks joomi can do the same, but he just really doesn’t know him well enough to tell.
it’s their turn on stage eventually and jinyoung shakes out the last bit of nerves he can and feigns confidence as he and his team take their places. he has the first words of the song and while it’s not exactly singing, he sets the tone for the rest of the performance. desperate, a little unhinged, at wit’s end. jinyoung knows the feeling all too well, it’s easy enough to tap into. but can he do it with eyes staring at him, looking for every little mistake? he hopes so. at least he’s in the back, a few seconds of intro and dancing before the others part ways and he’s the center of attention. he gets to his feet, staggering not unlike a zombie as the concept they decided on demanded, reaching desperately forward as he continues to sell the act that the rest of the team had already started to dance to.
“i’m so shocked,” he wails before breaking off into laughter, trying to express a pain so excruciating that he can’t even cry anymore, or perhaps so mind-numbing that he’s lost his brain entirely (hence, zombies). he reaches toward joomi as they both inhale a great breath, and the performance really begins.
he has so many lines this time. thankfully, none of them are particularly difficult. jinyoung probably had overreacted a bit when initially reviewing his part, making it up into something big and scary in his head when really... half of it was just shouting in tune anyways. he nearly lost his voice in practice trying to learn how to make the right sound but he’s been careful and a little break actually suits this performance better anyways; he wants to give the sense of fear and desperation, not of a perfectly stable singer. maybe jinyoung can relate to the concept a little too much. sure, he’s never been a zombie, but the lyrics of confusion, loneliness, hurt... those he understands all too well. he tries not to think too much about it, especially now that he’s on stage.
the part with joomi comes all too soon and thankfully he doesn’t have to sing through it, that’s kou leading up to it and joomi taking over as he ‘pulls’ jinyoung around by the shoulder before ‘grabbing’ the back of his neck and pulling them in close. it feels more intimate here despite being so much more exposed. he can see every pore on joomi’s face despite the layers of makeup, he can smell the sweat on his skin and feel the heat of his breath on his face. he doesn’t break eye contact. if he’s flushed, it’s from the performance. if joomi looks different right now, it’s because of the stage lights and costumes and all of those things that make idols shine on stage. nothing else. still, he nearly stumbles as joomi spins away—a move that jinyoung taught him to execute correctly in the first place—and takes a deep breath to re-center and refocus himself.
there are much more important things to think about right now than jung joomi.
thankfully, he doesn’t have to sing again until the chorus. and even then, it’s the shouting on-pitch technique again. jinyoung wants to shout. despite the way he’s starting to feel a bit winded, the end of the performance wearing on his body and pushing his endurance to its limits, he half-screams his lyrics out at the judges. angry, upset, confused; all of those ugly things he wanted to cry and scream as a child, now on display for the millions of people tuning into next gen. let them think he’s a good actor, that it’s not his own pain he’s drawing from and is instead some imagined hurt. don’t let them know how he knows these emotions so well, just that he can execute them on stage at his own will.
the song comes to an end soon enough and jinyoung is gasping for breath, sweat soaking his skin and making his long hair cling to his neck uncomfortably. at some point he really did lose his mind, like the lyrics repeat over and over again, and lost himself in that performance. hopefully it’s a good thing. at least he knows for certain that he gave it his all.

*   /       𝖈𝖚𝖗𝖗𝖊𝖓𝖙 𝖈𝖔𝖓𝖓𝖊𝖈𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘   ;     𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠…
Tumblr media
just a lil post with all the things i have plotted out so far   !!   🥺💖
HAE,   ISAAC           :          ex lovers,   blackmailing.
haneul found out that isaac tries to hide his sexuality   (   only his close friends know he’s gay   )   so naturally he tried to woo isaac   &   made him think he was in love with him   (   ask him out on dates,   surprise him with flowers   &   random expensive gifts,   pick him up from dance practice,   &   tell him sweet nothings   💘   )
so when isaac finally caved,   haneul did a full 180   &   got them on camera doing the dirty   (   😳   )   &   basically is now blackmailing isaac into doing whatever haneul wants or else he’ll leak the sex tape
HWANG,   MIYOUNG           :          childhood friends.
miyoung,   haneul,   &   liam were childhood friends   !!   when alex said   “    in this house we love snakes who care abt the ppl who are basically enabling their toxic behaviour 🥺💞🥺💞🥺💞🥺💞🥺   ”   yeah   🤧
basically they’ve been friends for so long that miyoung kinda accepts the fact that he isn’t a good person   ??
he’s gotten so used to having her around that he couldn’t ever imagine doing her dirty   !!   in fact he’d lowkey die for her like if anyone even looks at her the wrong way he’s ready to bark at them like a feral little dog
also her   @   him   FHSDJFDFKD   💖
KANG,   ACE           :          unrequited love,   enemies.
omg okay so haneul has a fragile ego right   !!
back when he was liams personal assistant he had a crush on ace   /   thought he was really cute   🥺   so when haneul caught the two of them together   ..   he was punching air like he had to go home   &   throw a vase against the wall really quickly   ..   FHDDKFJDKS
basically he never got over the humiliation of liam   (   once again   )   being better than him   &   kinda like really dislikes ace because he didn’t pick haneul instead
(   which obviously ace didn’t even know haneul liked him but still   .   he shouldn’t have slept w/ liam like that when his personal assistant literally looks like jaehyun like what the hell   ..   KFHJDKFGJFKDFGF   )
KIM,   IVY           :          unrequited,   fwb.
plot   003   on   dante’s plot page for ivy   !!
“   i confessed i might be in love with and you said you weren’t interested in dating me because we’re just friends and i’m getting over that heartbreak but you show up on my doorstep and kiss me and we end up in bed and in the morning you tell me this was a mistake and before i can stop you, you leave. you show up again. lather rinse repeat. it’s not good for either of us but we keep doing it.   ”
haneul is toxic we been realizing that   👁👄👁   😔
PARK,   NICO           :          tba   💘
RYUK,   SUNHEE           :          soft spot.
ohhh okay so   !!   haneul was planning on using her   &   basically throw her away as soon as he was done with her   ??
but then he actually grew to care about her   🥺   so when her parents got a divorce   +    her mother’s brand crashed on the stock market his mind screamed at him to be mean   &   let her go but he couldn’t   ..   so basically he stayed by her side   /   is kinda vv scared bc he never felt that type of fondness for another person before   ??
SHIN,   LAUREN           :          on good terms   (   thank you grandpa shin   ).
haneul was planning on pushing laurens limits,   kinda like seeing how far he could go in order to finally have her cuss him out or something   😔💔   but when he realized she’s a real life angel   &   doesn’t get upset about anything ever he was ready to just Poof
but then she introduced him to her grandpa   🥺
that man is ruthless   &   awful   &   has a lot of power so haneul was like   ..   oh   ..   would you look at that   ..   finally someone to look up to   🙈
ugh he loves spending time w/ her grandfather like if he could become the heir of that business he would   <33   haneuls currently hatching out a plan to make him disown lauren   &   give the company to him instead   DHJSDFJDFKD
SONG,   ALEC           :          on bad terms,   dislike.
haneul is an asshole   &   didn’t like the idea of liam finding happiness with someone   &   being in a good relationship   ??   so he would openly disapprove of alec,   kinda like planting the seed for their breakup   &   constantly changing the narrative in order to make liam question the relationship until it all blew up   &  they broke things off
maybe he did it for miyoung too   ..   KFJDKSDGJKFD
YU,   MOON           :          the brother’s best friend trope.
whenever haneul   (   &   probably miyoung too   )   had sleepovers at liams place,   he would sneak out of his room when his friends were passed out in order to see if moon was still awake
there he would basically spend the night in his bed instead if you catch my drift   KFJDFJDFKD   &   kinda like have this secret thing going on   !!
like in the morning haneul would always pretend moon was just liams annoying little brother,   but he truly   !!   is kinda fond on moon in a way   🥺   but it was also one of those things where haneul realized well enough it couldn’t lead to anything more
also haneul will most likely exploit the current situation to get closer to moon   &   pretend to care about him more than he does   !   just so he can get praised as one of the people who helped liams little brother through a rough time   🙈

Hello! The name is Madi and this is my first time here with my first muse Im Haneul. As you will get to see I like to keep my posts short but if you have any questions about me or him please don’t be afraid to ask. [If you would like to rp something or plot just like this post or hit me an ask or message!!!]
Haneul is what I would like to call your class A kind of dork. He loves to mess around and joke with people. He finds that its the best way to get to know people and to stop people from treating him like some scary sunbae. While he is dorky and kind to everyone he does not and will never tolerate anyone talking bad about anyone in his group.
Ultimately,  Haneul cares. Probably cares too much but cares. He cares for everyone and he cares so much that he doesn’t make connections with those around him. He is quiet focusing more on his work than making social connections. He fears loving someone and losing them. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t make connections and for those who he lets in, he becomes increasingly self-sacrificing. Haneul is kind. He is quiet but that doesn’t mean he isn’t paying attention. While he might not talk to you at first once he gets to know someone he is like a firecracker.

EUPHORIA | JJK
It’s Sunday. Jeongguk was supposed to be at the gym, serving looks. You were supposed to be at the church, serving the Lord. But you two were at the mall, looking for baby toys. You guessed this was your punishment for letting him stick his dick inside of you instead of just using an adult toy.
Alternatively:
“We share the same painful views. Won’t you please stay in my dreams.”
word count: 2.6k (one-shot) PART OF INTRO SERIES
pairing: husband!Jungkook x wife!reader
genre and content warnings: established relationship, angst, fluff, married au, (forced marriage) mention of premarital sex, pregnancy, abortion, Catholic guilt, death, and mental illness.
Tumblr media
Sunday was church day.
This was what your whole family made you believe ever since you were young. They were firm believers of God. In fact, your first word wasn't like what most babies said.
Jesus. This was your first word and your mom wasn't even complaining. She loved to brag about it to other lectors and commentators. Your father, a lay minister, also took pride sharing the same story over and over again.
Frankly speaking, you were getting tired of it.
Don't get it twisted. You loved Jesus and you believed that he was your savior. You even sang worship songs at the church every Sunday. You were the head of the choir; every church goer knew you—well, not only church goers.
Literally everyone around you knew you.
You were also popular at school. People referred to you as the good girl who had it all.
You were pretty, smart, and your boyfriend was none other than Jeon Jeongguk.
The man you were dating was a jock. He made it clear that he didn't like studying, but he still wanted to go to a university and apply for scholarship. You had no doubt that he would get what he wanted.
Jeongguk was a star football player after all.
"Babe, what do you think of this?" You showed Jeongguk a stuffed animal. It was a rabbit.
"Cute," he grinned at you. Jeongguk wasn't sure what he found cute. Was it you or was it the stuffed toy?
You and Jeongguk were currently at the mall, buying toys for Haneul, your son who was turning one this month.
"We'll buy this next time.”
The smile Jeongguk was sporting turned into a scowl when you put the toy back to the shelf.
"Next time?" He furrowed his brow, reaching for the rabbit. "Why can't we buy it now?"
"Guk," you let out a sigh. He was feigning innocence but you knew better.
You knew you couldn't afford this kind of toy. Why did you even ask him to go here? It was obvious that you didn't belong here.
Years ago, you and Jeongguk had plans. He wanted to be a famous football player while you decided to major in Marketing; however, your dreams had been shattered when you found out that you were pregnant with his baby.
You didn't know what to do that time. You just graduated high school. Actually, you were supposed to take the college entrance exam at Seoul University.
The test didn't happen because you felt sick that day. You had been vomiting non-stop and everything smelt awful.
You still took a test, though. It wasn't the kind of test you were expecting. You woke up that day to chase you dream, but instead you ended up chasing your breath as you cried and cried and cried.
You took a pregnancy test and the numbing slap of your mother was enough for you to know that you were a disgrace.
A disgrace, a disappointment, an animal, a disrespectful child, and a....
sinner.
You accepted it all. You didn't mind that your whole family was insulting you inside and out.
You didn't blame them—couldn't blame them.
How could you do that when you saw yourself the same way they saw you?
Your mind was poisoning you. You were blaming yourself. You were blaming Jeongguk. He did this to you.
He did this to you because you let him.
So basically, this was your fault.
You ruined your future and the only way to restore everything back to normal was to have an abortion.
Of course you considered abortion. You were young and so, so scared. How could you take care of a child when you couldn't even take care of yourself?
And what about Jeongguk? He didn't deserve this shit. He was young too. He deserved the world, not a punishment.
You considered your child as a punishment. Why didn't you just stick to dildo? Or a fucking vibrator?
There were so many options. Why did you have to trust that stupid condom? You knew it didn't work all the time.
Nothing worked according to your plan.
"You are going to marry Jeon Jeongguk." Your father's words screamed authority.
Everyone in your family was aware that once your father demanded something, it should be followed without any questions. He rarely spoke, but when he did, it was absolute.
"But—" despite knowing the end of this discussion, you still tried to reason out.
You were only able to utter one word before you felt another deafening slap from your mother.
Or was it your father?
You had no idea.
All you knew was that everyone was either physically hurting you or emotionally manipulating you.
"No buts! My decision is final! You are going to marry that Jeon boy!"
Ah, that Jeon boy.
Poor Jeon Jeongguk. He had no idea what was about to happen to him. God. He didn't even know that you were carrying his child.
"We won't allow you to live like a slut anymore," your auntie crossed her arms.
This was the thing about your family. Everyone had a say, even your relative could discipline you. According to them, elders should always be respected. You had to follow what they said because apparently, they knew better than you.
Maybe they did. But still, you didn't want to force Jeongguk to marry you.
Sure, you two had been dating for three years now, but that wasn't enough. What if the love he felt for you wasn't the kind of love that you and your kid needed?
Perhaps you should have thought of that before giving into lust. The tiny voice inside your head sneered at you.
You could only sob.
It seemed like crying was all you could do.
You cried when you found out that you were pregnant, you cried when your parents found out that you were pregnant, and you cried when Jeongguk found out that you were pregnant.
All of this was happening because you were pregnant.
Except one thing:
Jeongguk wanted to marry you not because you were pregnant but because he loved you.
"You don't have to force me.” Jeongguk gritted his teeth when your whole family barged in his house.
Of course the Jeons were surprised. They weren't close to your family even though you lived two houses away from one another.
Your family didn’t want to associate themselves with the Jeons. The latter didn't really believe in the Lord, or even if they did, they were still far from religious.
They raised Jeongguk to be a sinner.
Your family firmly believed that you only got pregnant because Jeongguk forced you.
It wasn't true. You both wanted it to happen. You were consenting adults. Besides, your boyfriend asked you thousands of times if you truly wanted to do it.
He didn't force you. He respected you.
"I will marry her." Jeongguk said with confidence. He was looking at your father as if he was ready to knock him down.
"Jeongguk," his mother called softly. She was crying. She was broken. She was ashamed. She was sorry.
"It's alright, mom." The look Jeongguk gave his mother was the opposite of the glare he threw at your father.
Jeongguk was a sweet boy. He loved his parents so much.
"Shall we talk about the wedding, then?" Your father raised a brow.
Everything happened fast after that. Your family and Jeongguk's parents arranged the matrimony that was about to happen.
The Jeons offered to pay for the wedding expenses. Your family agreed. They didn't really care about the details. They only demanded a church wedding. They also wanted to marry you off as soon as possible.
They said it would be a shame if your baby bump appeared before the white event.
Since the preparation was short, you didn't have a choice but to wear a simple dress. Your mother insisted that you add veil as an accessory.
It was a hypocritical move, really. Veils symbolized innocence and purity.
You were neither.
You were a sinner and guilt was consuming your whole being.
Guilt for disappointing your family.
Guilt for breaking your promise to the Lord.
And guilt for taking something away from Jeongguk.
You took his freedom away.
The small apartment where you two now lived was not enough to showcase what he got. This abode was small, suffocating and confining his talents.
It was also too small to cater your unending tears.
You felt like you were drowning.
"Babe..." Your husband whispered, yet his voice still startled you.
You didn't answer—didn't have the energy to do so. You were drowning, remember? It didn't help that you feel suffocated too. The stupid dress you were wearing was too tight.
"You okay?" Jeongguk enquired, sighing.
He was worried about you. The two of you got married today. It was supposed to be one of the happiest days for brides, but why weren't you happy?
Why did you look...dejected?
"Yeah," you tried to offer him a smile. "I just feel hot."
You weren't lying. You didn't like the ambiance of your house. It felt like a vacation place, like you were a stranger, like you didn't belong.
It was because your mother and sisters were the ones who decorated this place.
"You think you can join me outside?" Your husband rubbed circled on your palm. "Let's have some fresh air?"
You nodded in a heartbeat.
You were tired, but you didn't want to be stuck in this room. You wanted...out.
"Okay.” Jeongguk helped you get on your feet. He was acting as though you were an expensive figurine ever since he learned that you were pregnant.
Your husband led you to the small garden of your home. You didn't know that your family decided to buy a place like this.
You were grateful though. The inside of your home was suffocating, but the garden appeared...magical.
"Jeongguk," your eyes widened in shock. "W-What's all this?"
Your hand was shaking as your eyes scanned the garden. There were fairy lights wrapped around the trees. The place was also decorated with different ornaments and pretty flowers.
Your favorite flowers.
"Do you like it?" Your husband was grinning at you. His eyes were shining brighter than the lights.
"Of course," you cupped his cheeks. "This is sweet, Kookie. Thank you.”
"Anything for you," he brought your hands closer to his mouth, kissing it.
"You deserve everything, baby." And with that, Jeongguk dropped on one knee.
"W-What are you doing!?" You panicked, eyes dilating once again.
"I know everything happened so fast." He started, licking his bottom lip. "We didn't have time to process everything. Our family decided what they think is good for us and trust me, I appreciate it."
You knew he was implying that he wanted this to happen.
"But I want to do something that I want.”  He fished a small box out of the pocket of his slacks.
You gasped.
"They told me to marry you." He opened the velvet box.
There was a ring.
"But they didn't give me the chance to do this," he raised the ring in the air.
"Baby," Jeongguk called, looking at your face with so much fondness. "You deserve a better proposal."
You were sobbing.
"You deserve a man dropping down on one knee. A man who will show you that he is serious about this marriage.”
He took your left hand.
"And I want to be that man. I want to be the man you deserved and not the boy your father coerced,"
You laughed, heart hammering through your chest. Jeongguk was so beautiful.
"I love you..." He confessed as he called your name. "Will you marry me?"
The yes that came out of your mouth was instant. You didn't hesitate. You didn't feel guilty. You just felt....happy.
Jeongguk put the ring on your finger. He kissed your stomach before standing up to crash his lips against yours.
Jeongguk no longer tasted like regret.
He tasted like forever.
Forever...
You swore you would stay with him forever. You felt silly for doubting him.
Jeongguk was a good man.
Your house no longer felt suffocating. It was loaded with love and laughter and it made your heart swell with joy.
Your family didn't bother your life anymore. You were on your own. They stopped supporting you. They said you made a choice—a choice to be a mother.
A mother was a provider, a natural giver.
You provided for your new family. You worked harder. You had two jobs: a waitress and elementary tutor.
Jeongguk continued studying. He was a student in the morning and a delivery boy at night.
You two worked in the same restaurant. Jeongguk tried to cover your shift as much as possible. He was basically doing your job.
He was scared. What if you overworked yourself? He didn't want you to work but you said you had to.
Raising a baby was expensive.
But you did it.
Haneul was turning one year old this month. He was a bright kid and he looked exactly like his father. They had the same brown eyes, so innocent and wide.
You knew you would do anything for your baby—well—except for one.
You wouldn't buy this stuffed toy for him. It's not like you didn't want to. It was more like you couldn't.
You couldn't afford it.
You couldn't, but Jeongguk could.
"Let's buy it...” He repeated. "I have money. I worked overtime last night.”
Your husband was still a delivery boy. You, on the other hand, quit your job so that you could look after your baby.
"Are you sure? This is expensive, Kook." You bit your lower lip.
Jeongguk smiled at you.
"But Haneul will like it.”
His reason was enough for you to just give in.
Of course.
Anything for your little Jeon. You would die for your son.
"Haneul, we're home!" You cooed loudly.
You were excited to see your baby. Jeongguk told you to give Haneul the stuffed toy while he go and express his gratitude to your neighbor for looking after baby Haneul.
Little did you know, Jeongguk was lying.
There was no neighbor to talk to.
It was only an excuse so that he could stare at you through the window as you rocked the empty crib in your room.
You were singing.
"You are the sunlight that rose again in my life..." Your voice was sweet that Jeongguk couldn't help but cry a little.
For you, Haneul was light. He shed light when you felt like giving up.
"You are the cause of my euphoria," your child was also the cause of your happiness.
Without him, you would be lost.
Jeongguk knew it.
Haneul.
This was the name you chose for your kid. It meant heaven.
For you, Haneul was God sent.
But Jeongguk was wondering.
If Haneul was God sent, then why did the Lord take him immediately?
Why did your Lord take him away from you and Jeongguk?
"Close the door now..." You continued to sing.
Jeongguk's heart clenched.
He watched you every day, so he already knew the next line of the song.
He sang with you.
"When I'm with you I'm in utopia..."
Utopia was a special place. A fantasy world. A world where everything was possible.
In Utopia, Haneul was still alive.
Jeongguk wasn't crazy.
He knew you needed help.
You were in denial. Too caught up in fantasy that you refused to believe that your son was already dead the moment he was born.
Haneul died in your womb.
He tried telling you, but you didn't want to acknowledge it.
You became hysterical when the words dead and Haneul were mentioned in the same sentence.
Jeongguk avoided using those words. It had been months now, almost a year actually.
He wondered if he could still continue pretending.
Looking at you hurt.
He guessed it was time to let go.
Not now, but soon.
For today, he just wanted to believe that utopia was real.
It should be fine, right?
