Let’s be real—comedy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s especially true for a show like Haunted Comedians. While I’d love to pack the room on January 31 with a crowd that’s ready to laugh until their faces hurt, I’m also a firm believer in managing expectations. If you’re thinking of coming to this show, but you’re unsure if it’s your vibe, here’s a quick reality check on what you might be walking into.

First off, Haunted Comedians is not your standard, run-of-the-mill comedy night. If you’re someone who only vibes with squeaky-clean humor, this might not be the show for you!!! While we’re not about shock for shock’s sake, the material leans into some darker themes—ghost stories, existential dread, and humor that thrives in the spooky unknown. So, if the idea of a comedian cracking jokes about Ouija boards or haunted childhood memories makes you clutch your pearls…maybe this ain’t it!!!

Secondly, we’re here to laugh together. If you’re someone who treats live events like a spectator sport where the performers are just background noise for your phone screen, you might find yourself at odds with the vibe. This show is for folks who want to engage. It’s about community, about giving as much energy as you’re getting. Text your group chat during intermission—Haunted Comedians isn’t a scroll-and-go type of event.

Lastly, if you’re coming in expecting to roast the performers, let me save you the trip. These comedians are seasoned, and while they could roast you back into next Tuesday, this is a safe space for everyone to have fun. Most of the horror book recommendations I see nowadays are psychological horror/crime thrillers. I mean, I do absolutely love psychological thriller, love to boggle my mind, but this spooky season wanna turn to old school horror, like some actual horror shit. By old school horror, I am talking about, purely supernatural beings with no scooby-doo level involvement of shady humans or psycho serial killers or disoriented hallucinating narrators. Just good old ghosts, haunted houses, and creatures etc, you know the typical creepy tropes, kinda miss this honestly. So anyone with good recommendations of such horror books?

Ps, my favourite horror movies are Conjuring, Insidious, Occulus, Ouija, The Ring (you get what kinda horror I am hinting at)
