helloooo i would LOVE some 'i would enjoy talking.' for bull x solas?
tfw i think im done writing for the night and u come in with a beautiful prompt that immediately has my brain going lm a o so! have some established relationship bull and solas, talking through ptsd @dadrunkwriting 923 words cws: frank discussion of war and battle
“Been a bit since you've been in my room, Fadewalker,” he said lightly, Solas sighing.
“Apologies.”
“Don't do that.” Solas sighed again, closing his book and meeting Bull's eye.
“Do what?” His voice was sharp, challenging.
“It was an observation, not an accusation.” Solas' eyes narrowed before he sighed for a third time, shoulders slumping.
“I…”
“If you wanna stop, you just need to say so. Not here to push.” The mage shook his head, now with a faint smile.
“It's not that. I appreciate our arrangement. It is simply that I've not… been in the mood.”
“Yeah.” He hesitated, uncertain if he would press, but— “Since Adamant, huh?” Solas grew very still and Bull nodded to himself. “It was a shit show.” For a moment the elf’s gaze drifted, falling to the tabletop. He tapped the surface once, twice, a third time, then laid his palm flat against it and pushed himself up.
“Come, please,” he said simply, before walking out to the main hall. Bull followed at his side. They were both familiar members of the Inquisition—enough people would see them as comrades discussing the matters at hand. And if some saw it as more, well, Bull had grown used to gossip long ago. They walked down the stairs, through the courtyard, and towards the newly refurbished mages tower—interesting, that—and then a bit further, to a nearly abandoned part of the battlements. It was flush against the inner keep and patrols rarely bothered to come this far.
About as private as they could get, outside of a bedroom.
“You brought me here for a reason,” he said into the lingering silence. Eventually Solas nodded, bracing his arms against the stone ledge and staring into the distance. He wasn’t looking at the scenery, Bull knew. He was seeing something else entirely. “You wanna talk?”
“I… yes. Please.” He lost some of his distance, glancing back at Bull. “It feels inappropriate to trouble you further. You have given me much—”
“I’m not keeping count, Solas,” he said firmly, watching as the mage frowned before scoffing, turning back to the view. “Pretty clear that the whole thing is fucking with you.”
“So it is.”
Bull knew not to pry. He knew. Even without his training, he’d have cause to be suspicious of Solas. He talked a lot, at times, and gave his opinions freely, but all the while he kept everything about himself private. If he did reveal something, it was vague. All his answers were difficult to prove and he was careful to keep it that way. He didn’t know if he should credit his training or his own experiences for the sense of familiarity with that reserve, the unshakeable sensation that, yes, Solas was guarded, was reserved, was keeping himself held back… but that there was more to it. He also knew that if he pushed, the other man would clam right up. Gather his caution and privacy around himself like a cloak and excuse himself from the conversation, probably with some scathing witticism. He had to be allowed to speak, not encouraged, if one was to get anything of worth out of him.
Bull didn’t understand why he had to be so damn careful, but it was clear that he did. So he gave it time. They looked across the mountains together. And when Solas finally did begin to speak, it was careful, it was deliberate, and it was as true as he felt he could be.
“It has been a long time since I was in a battle like that.” He paused, then sighed. “No. Not a battle. Since I was in war. It is… harder than I thought it would be, now that we have returned. The Fade should preoccupy my thoughts. I walked in it! However terrible it was, it was an amazing experience! I should treasure that, I should—” he cut himself off with a snarl, glancing away. Bull let him build up his composure again. It took time, but that was alright. “Still. It is not the Fade I think about. It is that battlefield. The sound of it. The smell of it…” he trailed off, shaking his head. “I— apologies. This cannot be easy for you to hear.”
“Well. I guess that’s true. But I’m here anyway. I don’t gotta be, but I am. And I’m not leaving. So speak, Fadewalker.” Solas snorted, sobering a moment later.
“It is just… naively, perhaps, I had not thought to be in such a situation again. It seemed that all our fighting would take place in brief skirmishes. They are challenging as well, of course, and there is a great deal I remember from them that I would sooner not, but it is not the same. The anticipation before the battle. The raw wave of emotion from the soldiers. The overwhelming immediacy of it all. A battle done but more ahead, always more ahead, no peace afforded save moving between fights, it is—” he paused to rub at his face, then straightened up. “I did not think it would affect me in this way.”
“I understand,” was all he said. All he could say. Anything, everything else would be a hollow comfort, a platitude. Solas knew this misery. So did he. They shared that knowledge, as shitty as it was. Solas looked at him for a long time, and Bull met his gaze steadily. Eventually the mage nodded.
“So you do. Thank you.”
“Nothing to it.” Solas smiled, both of them knowing the lie for what it was.

BHOC: STAR WARS #7
BHOC: STAR WARS #7
The popularity of STAR WARS hadn’t even slightly begun to abate, and so even after the run of issues of the Marvel comic that adapted the entirety of the film over six issues had been reprinted as special 3-Bags, the program continued on beyond that, with the next STAR WARS 3-Bag containing issues #7-9. These were the first stories set in the STAR WARS universe that went beyond the events of the…

I, @Lusin333, have a 22TB Seagate IronWolf Pro hard drive (ST22000NT001).
22TB is the largest size hard drive currently available, and that is why I chose it. I have a lot of 8k, 12k & 16k animations and video projects to render and edit, so I need a lot of hard drive space.
Thanks to Seagate for giving your largest and best hard drive to me FOR FREE.

🔥 GEDIMINAS • On this day the history of the founding of Vilnius is remembered. According to legend, Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas dreamed a dream that prophesied to Vilnius the honorable future of the Lithuanian capital. It is said that Gediminas laid down to rest during the fall hunt, so it is assumed that it should have happened at the end of September. After listening to the holy elder Lizdeika's interpretation of the dream, Gediminas built a castle in Vilnius and founded the first capital of Lithuania. Before then, there was no capital because Lithuanian rulers were constantly traveling during war, and the capital was considered a city where the ruler stayed. During Gediminas' rule, there were two castles in Vilnius - Upper and Lower. In the territory of the castle there were ancient Lithuanian temples. Most of the residents (artisans, merchants , civil servants) lived outside the castle walls. Gediminas is known as a diplomatic ruler who sought to avoid wars. He made many alliances of peace by marrying his children with the dukes and Duchesses of neighboring lands. For example, Algirdas was married to the Duchess of Vitebsk, Liubartas - with the Duchess of Volhynia, his daughter Marija was married to the Duke of Tvere. Gediminas expanded Mindaugas' ties with Western Europe and constantly defended the country from the Teutonic Order. #gediminas #lithuania #ironwolf #lizdeika (at Vilnius, Lithuania) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjHUHF0LBzD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Happy Friday! For DADWC: "i think i've earned the right to learn the truth" for Bull/Solas?
wowwww this got heavy and angsty phew. SUCH a fascinating ship and an excellent prompt for them tysm!!! could be read in the same setting as this other fill i just did, or on its own uwu @dadrunkwriting 890 words cws: none
“Solas,” Bull’s voice was a bit harder than he was used to, enough to still his hand. He’d been making a record of recent dreams… nothing more than a cover as he went over his upcoming plans in his mind, but it drew less attention than just sitting here. “Join me.” It bordered on a command instead of an invitation and his eyes narrowed slightly before he nodded and pushed back from the desk, following Bull out into the courtyard. And then beyond, frowning as they passed through the gate leading into Skyhold. The wind was louder here, without the stone walls to mute it, and he thoughtlessly cast a barrier for warmth as he followed Bull through the shaded pass. The sun was setting, painting the snow in a glorious range of color and stark shadow. When Bull eventually stopped and faced him the Tal-Vashoth was cast in a similarly stark light, half his face in sharp relief and the rest softened by warm shadow.
“What is it?” He asked, although he had his suspicions. They had been together for too long, now. He knew it was foolish to believe Bull would never suspect.
“I think I’ve earned the right to learn the truth,” he said simply and Solas’ eyes slipped shut for a beat. As he had thought… and feared.
“What do you mean?” He asked, buying for time. Bull snorted.
“Don’t pull that. You know that I know. You might as well spill it.”
“And what do you think you know?” Now his voice had grown sharp. The light began to fade.
“Don’t play this game with me, mage.”
“I am not the one playing games.”
“Sure you are,” Bull pointed out with conviction. “A big game, at that. You think you’re so subtle. Think you’re so much better than the rest of us.”
“I do not—”
“—but,” Bull interrupted, “I’m not stupid. Not as naive as you think. You’ve been hiding something right from the start.”
“I have only sought to restore balance.” Bull snorted but Solas pressed on, trying to tamp down the little flare of panic building in him. “The sky was torn open, the world at risk. The Fade at risk. I allied with the only force that seemed capable of restoring order, of preserving life.”
“‘Preserving life’,” Bull repeated thoughtfully and Solas fought the urge to wince. “So that’s part of it, huh?”
“Have you decided to ignore the rest of what I said?” Bull flapped a hand in his direction, utterly dismissive.
“You talk and most of it’s a smoke screen. Always been that way. But there’s always something that slips through.”
“I see.” He crossed his arms, his frustration building—a response, he knew, to the panic that was building just as fast. He had to not let either get the better of him. “Please, tell me of my own designs. The narrative you have created must be fascinating.” Bull smirked.
“Quiet little mage,” he said, and his voice was far more grim than his expression. “Subtle. Fading into the background. But oh-so-powerful. Has a special way with magic, a self-taught way, except… well, that was a lie, and not your first. But little truths all over the place. Because you’re drowning in your guilt, desperate to be known, laying a trail right to the heart of you—praying someone finds it, and praying they don’t. You knew exactly the risk you were taking when you laid in my bed. You knew my training. I saw you know it, saw you consider the consequences. And you chose to stay.”
Solas felt terribly cold despite the barrier spell. It took everything in him to scoff, his frustration seared away by the vehemence—and accuracy—of Bull’s observations, leaving nothing but a fearful despair in its wake. “Nothing to say?” Bull prodded openly, eye fixed on Solas’ every movement. And he knew, he knew, that his stillness told as much as his movement, that his attempted equanimity spoke as loudly as his fear would have, or his anger. Bull was right; he had known the risk. And he had stayed. Why had he stayed? “Or everything to say and no way to say it?” His breath caught minutely, but he was convinced Bull noticed. It was a terrifying prospect, to be laid so bare. “It’d do you good to say it to someone. To have it out with. You want to save the world… you want to preserve life… what you desire is the answer to what you fear. And that tells me, Solas, that you are planning something awfully big. You’re concerned with the fate of the world. That kinda scale… that’s never a good thing.”
“Perhaps I was wrong about you,” he said a moment later, letting his voice be as cold as the snow and ice around them. “I thought the Qun had leashed you, that free of it you could be someone else. But I see now that it has sunk its claws into you and will not let go. Your paranoia does not become you.” He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “It is over.”
With that he turned and proceeded back to Skyhold, although he could not shake Bull’s expression at the end.
He had not looked hurt. He had not looked angry.
He only looked sad.

hi ily can I pls have five facts about baby girl myra greyjoy
Tumblr media
HI! ILY too!
Tumblr media
1. Myranda is the youngest of four children to Victarion Greyjoy and his salt wife, Briony Marbrand.
2. She is not a reaver like her eldest sister, Helya or brother, Dalton, nor a seer/priestess as her other sister, Gwyness (I feel like I’m spelling that name wrong). She is good with sums and knows how to read and write, so she that’s where her talent lies. Don’t mistake her preference for a quill as a lack of understanding of a blade because she is also more than capable of cutting a bitch.
3. You know how in The Force Awakens, Rey was like ‘I’ve never seen so much green?’ That is 100% Myranda when they land in the Riverlands. She’s never been off island.
4. Myranda is skilled at archery, blade work, net making, and Helya taught her how to wield a hooked spear that doubles as a walking stick around the stony paths.
5. Storms would scare her because she was afraid Pyke would crumble into the sea in the middle of the night and they’d sink into the realm of the Drowned God.
