I kept thinking of little baby man Phantom and the potential of Danny being an actual baby of the Infinite Realms. However, he’s more snake teenager than itty bitty Little Baby Man edition, cause I think it’d be so funny to just — imagine this teenage snake curled up in a summoning circle, obviously having been taking a nap and looking up with his big green, sleepy eyes and Constantine just stares and freaks because, “THATS A WHOLE ASS BABY, PUT IT BACK!”
But they can’t because apparently the summoning was more of a ‘knock knock I’m a babysitter’ and Danny’s ghost parent decided that this was the perfect time to have some time for themselves if Heroes were so willing to take care of Danny for a little while.
Another take — mainly in reference to a different post about Klarion actually just being a toddler of the infinite realms with no ideas on how to human and thinks him fighting with heroes is just a play date — zooms into the human realm where the heroes are and just goes, “Hey I’m dropping my baby sibling onto you guys cause my dad got mad last time Danny got hurt by the humans I hang with. So here you go, I’ll pick him up later.”
A teenage snake Danny is dropped into a hero’s arms where he mainly grumbles and then shifts to better take a nap. Klarion drops the baby essentials at them with no further explanations other then “here’s their favorite blanket, if they get fussy taco them; here’s the baby milk make sure it’s -200 F, they have an ice core, etc.” and then just DISAPPEARS after leaving what amounts to a month old infant in human heroes care.

Part 1
Part 3
———
The weekend that followed Cedric’s confession was filled with pure joy. Y/N had never been happier. Their days were spent lying in the warm embrace of the other, barely leaving unless to eat. Y/N spent all her time in the Hufflepuff dormitories. Sometimes, at midnight, Cedric would pepper kisses all over her sleeping form to wake her up; he’d then pull her into the common room and they’d slow dance. No music required, just shuffling across the floor with Ced’s hands on Y/N’s waist and hers across his shoulders.
They’d spend the weekend in bed, knowing that once Monday rolled around, they’d have to deal with school, or more importantly the people at school.
Although Y/N and Cedric were practically a couple already, even if in a platonic way, Y/N knew that she’d face judgement from girls wanting to snag Pretty Boy Diggory.
As they got out of bed on Monday morning, Cedric whined.
“I have to go get ready in my dorm, Ced,” Y/N said, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose.
“No, no, noooo, see you don’t. You could just skip and stay here with me...” He said, pulling her back into the bed so that she was straddling his waist. He kissed her deeply, tasting the vanilla chap-stick she always wore that he could never get enough of.
“You know I would much rather do that, my love.” Y/N said, pulling away and giving him one last peck before waving softly as she walked out the door.
Cedric groaned as she left, pulling the sheets over his head. After a few moments, he sighed and got up, pulling on his uniform then his robes. It started to dawn on him while he was getting dressed. Other people would see them together today, and while they were normally attached at the hip, they’d likely see him kissing her, or holding hands. The news would eventually come around to his father, likely before winter break, which was in just a week.
He walked down to the great hall for breakfast, spotting Y/N already at the Hufflepuff table. Her eyes lit up when she saw him, and she grinned. He bounded towards her, sitting down next to her and snaking a hand around her waist.  “Is this okay?” He whispered quietly into her ear, gesturing to his arm. She nodded and smiled in a way that said ‘Of course,’.
“So, we haven’t seen much of you two this weekend. Where were you lot?” Roger, a friend of the two, asked through a mouthful of toast.
“Oh, uh...” Cedric stammered, looking at Y/N. She gave him silent permission, nodding and leaning her head on his shoulder. “We’re... dating now.” Cedric mumbled. Y/N could feel his hands getting warm - he was nervous. She smiled and looked up at him reassuringly.
“What was that?” Another Hufflepuff asked from the end of the table.
“We’re dating now.” Y/N clarified, serving up some porridge nonchalantly.
“Right on!” Roger said, clapping Cedric on the back. Cedric smiled, laughing softly. A chorus of ‘whoop’’s  came from around the table, congratulations following.
“Were you not dating before?” A small, redheaded Hufflepuff with big brown eyes asked, furrowing her brow. Y/N looked over at Cedric and burst into peels of laughter.
“No, we weren’t. But I think that’s a compliment? Not quite sure,” Cedric said, laughing as well.
The rest of breakfast went by quickly, Y/N and Cedric getting hammered by questions about when, how, why did it take so long. Y/N’s face lit up every time she told the ‘how’, and Cedric blushed furiously beside her.
Next, it was time for classes, which meant people outside of their close friends finding out.
Most of the day went by breezily; there was one moment in the hallway outside of Charms, though.
“Can I kiss you?” Cedric had asked softly, and Y/N was more than happy to respond yes, as there was seemingly no one in the halls. He enraptured her in a deep kiss, right as a small, blonde girl walked out of the Charms classroom. Cedric spotted her and stopped, clearing his throat.
“She’s your girlfriend?” The girl scoffed, flicking her blonde hair over her shoulder.
“Yes, she is. My very loving one, actually, that would never mock a girl for her looks or stature when she had no clue about their personality. Could you say the same about yourself?” Cedric said, his tone still friendly, but his words sharp. He offered a sarcastic smile, and the girl went red before walking away. Y/N never saw Cedric get even the least bit aggressive, and truth be told she thought it was hot. After the girl left, she kissed him hungrily, arms tight around his shoulders.
The rest of the week went by in a blur. There were small holiday celebrations in classes, and none of the work was too intense. In herbology, Y/N could barely focus in the greenhouses, as all she could think about was Cedric telling her he loved her and how lucky she was.
---
Y/N had already had arrangements to go to the Diggory’s over Christmas, made before they started dating. Now, Y/N felt like she was meeting someone’s parents for the first time; she wondered if she’d meet his parent’s expectations for every romantic partner he was to have.
“Ced, what if they don’t approve. What if they see me as one of their children, not the person that’s in love with their son. What then?” Y/N said the night before they were to Floo to the Diggory’s home.
“Y/N, darling. Look at me.” Cedric said, grey eyes staring lovingly at the girl before him. “They love you. They know how kind, and caring, and loyal, and intelligent, and drop-dead gorgeous you are; there’s nothing not to like. Also, I have a feeling that they already know. At least the I’ve been in love with you since we were thirteen part. I’m not exactly subtle,” Cedric said, laughing. Y/N giggled, kissing him gently.
“I love you. So much.” She whispered, hugging him.
“I love you more, you know.” He said, kissing the soft spot on her neck that was her kryptonite. It wasn’t hard to figure this out; every time he kissed her neck she practically doubled over in pleasure, and her pupils became twice as dilated. She let out a soft moan, and Cedric kissed her.
“Impossible,” She said as she broke away.
“Oh, see that’s where you’re wrong. Very possible, love.” He said, kissing her forehead. She giggled, shaking her head at her cinnamon roll of a boyfriend.
---
The next morning, they woke up bright and early. Y/N packed a few clothes into her bag, although she had a stockpile of clothing already at the Diggory’s place.
Cedric gave her one last kiss before stepping into the fireplace, throwing the green powder up and saying “Diggory residence, Ottery St. Catchpole.”
Y/N followed after him, doing the same. She landed in the Diggory’s fireplace with a thud, brushing the soot off her skirt and fixing her hair before walking out into the living room.
Cedric stood, waiting for her, standing in the middle of the room. His family’s cat, Peanut, was curled up at his feet. As soon as Y/N walked in, the cat jumped up, pawing at her legs.
“Peanut, my baby!” Y/N gasped, scooping the fluffy cat into her arms and stroking it as it purred.
“That cat loves you more than I do, if that’s even possible,” Cedric said, quiet enough so that Amos and his mom in the other room couldn’t hear. Y/N giggled, putting the cat down and hugging Cedric.
Cedric cleared his throat and took Y/N’s hand as he walked into the dinning room, where his parents sat.
“Dad, Mom,” He started. They both looked up and smiled, opening their mouths to greet the pair, but he spoke before they could. “I’d like you to meet my girlfriend, Y/N.” He said.
“Ced, we already know Y/N, are you-” Amos started, as the realization hit him. “YOUR GIRLFRIEND?” He bellowed, standing up.
Cedric nodded, looking at Y/N then back at his father.
“Oh, dear, that’s just lovely! I always knew you fancied her,” His mother said, hugging both Y/N and Cedric.
“Took you long enough, eh?” Amos chuckled, earning a small nudge from his wife.
“That’s what Y/N said,” Cedric laughed, putting his arm around her waist.
“Do sit down, Y/N dear, tell us all about it!” Mrs. Diggory said, pulling out a bench from under the dining table.
“Well, your son is...” Y/N smiled, trying to find the words. “Incredible. He made my favorite cake, and his confession was the most heartfelt thing,” She said. Cedric was bright red beside her. “I’m tearing up just thinking about it, really.”
“I wouldn’t say it was that good,” Cedric said, laughing.
“Too modest. It was, I can’t even put it into words.” Y/N sighed, looking up at her boyfriend. “You two truly raised him well. He’s respectful, and honest, and kind, and frankly I can’t see myself with anyone else.” Y/N said earnestly. Cedric pulled her tighter, and Amos grinned. Mrs. Diggory’s eyes were welled up with tears, and she wiped them with a handkerchief.
“Oh, you two,” She said, looking up at her husband.
“Good on you, Ced. Treat her well.” Amos nodded. Y/N smiled, biting her lip.
The rest of the evening went by in a joyful blur. When it came time to make dinner, Y/N insisted that she do it the muggle way; although she was a pure-blood, her father worked alongside Arthur Weasley, and taught Y/N how to do most things the muggle way. She loved to bake, especially, so she cooked everything herself with the help of Cedric, although he was quite clumsy in the kitchen without a wand.
She put the finishing touches on dinner, which was a simple bolognese pasta and some sides. Then, she made the cake, which was a small chocolate cake with raspberry-vanilla frosting, all from scratch.
Cedric watched her as she baked, mesmerized by her dedication and craftiness. As he was stuck in a trance of staring at his girlfriend, she noticed, and took frosting on her finger. She poked his nose, which now had a small dot of frosting on it, and he laughed. He then did the same to her, sending her into fits of giggles. She tried to lick it off with her tongue, but couldn’t; Ced leaned over and kissed the tip of her nose. She laughed loudly and did the same. He kissed her again, and she pulled away reluctantly to frost the cake.
The four ate Y/N’s dinner, savoring the flavors.
“Y/N, you’re an incredible cook! All with no wands, you said?” Amos asked, taking a bite of pasta.
“Yes, sir! I love it, actually.” Y/N said. Cedric looked at her in adoration, marveling at how he got so lucky. Little did he know, she did the same every time she looked at him.
