Glorious
a/n: I'm so sad that I accidentally lost the request for this! Long story short, I posted the unfinished story instead of saving it to my drafts, so I deleted it. It's been too long since I last posted and I promise I'll try to do so more often!! Also, this is my first time writing smut, so sorry if it's terrible!
Request: Cedric smut after quidditch practice
Pairing: Cedric Diggory x Female! Reader
Warnings: smut (obviously), switch! Cedric (mostly sub), switch! Reader (mostly dom), unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it, people!!), edging, orgasm denial, friends cockblocking ced (poor baby), dirty talk, slight breeding kink, praise and degradation.
Word count: I have no idea, but A LOT. More than I expected, to be honest. I want to say 4k of smut? (Don't come at me, I'm horny)
If you like this, reblog or (if you can and want to) buy me a coffee!

Glorious.
That was the word that came to mind as the one and only Cedric Diggory flew after the snitch. Autumn had just begun but summer has left its heat. And that left Cedric shirtless during training.
He was far away from where you sat, but his lean muscles glowed under the sun, leaving goosebumps on your skin despite the heatwave.
With or without a shirt, seeing your boyfriend train was a huge turn-on. His brows furrowed in concentration, his muscles straining to stay balanced on the broom, his agility and keen eye, the competitiveness of it all.
Of course, in the end, it was just a bunch if people playing with balls of all shapes and sizes. You were particularly a big fan of fondling in the bedroom, so why not cheer your boyfriend on while he did the same?
'Ok, maybe not the same. But we can't all be athletic.' You thought, just as Cedric laid eyes on the snitch.
"Come on, Ced!" You cheered, jumping up and down in the stands along with some of the other player's significant others and Hufflepuff supporters.
He flew quicker by the second, reaching out into the clouds. The golden ball was fast, but Cedric was faster. Soon enough, he caught the snitch and both teams went wild for their seeker.
Even though it was just a practice game, you cheered and jumped. Cedric caught your eyes from the other side of the field and flew toward you.
Every game he did the same thing, it became your tradition. The moment he caught the snitch, he flew your way for a celebratory kiss before touching the ground to cheer with his teammates.
"Hello, darling" he said with a huge grin before connecting his lips with yours.
Cedric deepened the kiss, urging you to part your lips with a brush of his tongue. You felt the saltiness as you swiped your own against his lips, but you didn't mind.
His warm tongue connected with yours a second later, causing a tingling sensation between your legs.
Cedric pulled away entirely too quickly, leaving you closed-eyed and chasing his lips. With a cocky grin and a wink, he flew down to where his team had already started removing their gear.
He would definitely pay for his teasing later. For now, you hiked your skirt a bit higher and went to meet him beside the locker rooms.
The two of you locked eyes and you made sure to sway your hips a bit more. His gaze scanned your body hungrily.
Due to the warm weather, you had removed your socks and tie, as well as opened your shirt. It hadn't been on purpose, but you were glad you did. If looks could kill, you'd be splayed and torn apart on Cedric's dick. Your thighs squeezed together in anticipation.
"(y/n)! Wait!" Exclaimed Luna, trotting down the bleachers.
You cursed under your breath and Cedric laughed before going into the changing rooms.
You loved Luna, she was one of your closest friends, but reading the room was definitely not one of her strong suits.
"Hi" she sighed, going in for a tight hug.
"Hey, Luna" you hugged her back just as tightly.
"Would you like to study potions later? I could use your help"
"Sure." You answered, starting down the stairs again, Luna trailing beside you "Lake or library?"
"Oh, library. The lake has too many distractions, I have to stay focused this time."
"Alright, after Snape’s class?"
"Yes, that will work perfectly." She nodded, wrote it down on her hand and turned to leave before glancing back with a smirk "have a nice time with Cedric, but do try not to get caught."
You stood there gobsmacked.
Purposely cockblocked by Luna Lovegood.
You laughed before heading towards the locker room.
Two players headed out, waving your way, as you leaned against the wall opposite of where Cedric was.
Fifteen more minutes went by and three players had left. You crossed your arms and sighed.
'What in Merlin's name is taking so long?' You asked yourself, patience growing thinner by the minute.
When your watch marked twenty-five minutes since the players went in, the 6th player left and Cedric was still nowhere to be found.
You decided to wait five more minutes.
'You're just being impatient. Calm the hell down, (y/n)' you told yourself, taking a deep breath.
But 30 minutes was too much. Not for you, but for Cedric. He bathes like there's a ticking time bomb in the showers.
'Is he hurt?' The thought crossed your mind and your feet lead you inside.
The air was humid and hot around you.
"Cedric?" You whisper-yelled "I swear to Merlin, if you're dead in here, I'll kill you."
A groan made you stop in your tracks.
"Cedric?" You called out, moving towards the deep breathing.
Rounding the corner, you found a sight picked straight out of your dirtiest maladaptive daydreams.
Your boyfriend was naked and wet. Cedric's left hand tried to grip the wall, beads of water trailing down his tense biceps and lower. It flowed down his torso and lower even, to where his right hand held a tight grip around his cock, pumping up and down in a slow and sensual pace.
"Took you long enough" he said, a smirk on his face.
Striding towards him, you smirked right back. Removing your uniform and shoes, then, ever so slowly, your underwear. A groaning Cedric quickened his pace at the sight of you.
You entered the shower, closing the water, as Cedric released his dick and grabbed your waist, pulling you into him.
He went straight for your lips, just as slow and sensual as his former pace.
Your hands went separate ways. One towards his hair, that pulled the short strands back to break the kiss. The other wrapped around his arousal, stroking till the tip.
The mixture of both sensations had Cedric moaning your name fervently.
"Who said you could start without me?" You whispered in his ear.
"Didn't mean to, didn't think you'd take this long to come find me" he replied, kissing your neck right where he knew your knees would go weak.
"You'll still have to pay for your hastiness."
"You know I love your punishments, darling" he grins and catches your lips in a passionate kiss. Tongues circling, teeth clashing and bodies drawing impossibly closer.
Your hand started stroking his swollen flesh again, drawling low and soft moans from his lips.
"I know, love." You soothed, but your hand only moved faster, your grip tighter.
A string of curses escaped his lips.
"(y/n)" he whimpered.
"You're so close, aren't you?" You cooed.
"So close, so close" he answered frantically.
"Not quite yet, I can't let you off the hook that easily." You said, halting your movements.
He let out a dissapointed groan.
"Don't be ungrateful, darling." You teased, "You'll come soon enough"
A bead of pre-cum leaked from his tip. You gathered it in your thumb and brought it to your lips, sucking the saltiness seductively.
Cedric's pupils were blown wide and an almost primal look took over his features.
You grabbed his neck and kissed him with everything you had, doing all the things you knew would drive him wild, then pulled away. He was left closed eyed, chasing your lips.
But you hadn't had all your fun yet. With a grin on your face, you turned around and headed towards your clothes.
"Darling?" he asked.
You ignored him, putting on your shirt and probably missing a few buttons in the process. You saw Cedric grab his towel, a confused look on his face. You put on your skirt and threw your lace underwear his way. He grabbed them with slightly wide eyes.
"I'd get ready quickly if I were you. If I wait too long for you, I might start by myself." with a wink, you left a bungling Cedric hurriedly drying himself.
You let out a low giggle while strutting out the locker rooms. You were leaving the field when Cedric caught up with you, shirt half open, your lace panties between his teeth, and still buttoning up his pants.
You stifled a giggle at the sight and walked faster. He tripped, but managed to catch himself.
Before long, he was fully dressed and walking fast beside you, glancing your way every few seconds with a giddy smile on his face.
That is, until Harry Potter started calling after him.
His eyes widened slightly, he grabbed your arm and said "Don't you dare stop walking"
With a playful smile on your face, you released your arm from his grip and turned towards the griffindor.
"Hello, Harry!" You smiled widely, mosty because of the impatient look on Cedric's face.
"Hey, (y/n)," he turned towards your boyfriend "Cedric, can I talk to you for a second?" the boy looked at you for a split second before returning his gaze to Cedric "Alone."
"Actually, we-"
"Of course! Take your time, Harry!" You answered, overly amiable.
As you started walking away, Cedric grabbed your arm again.
"(y/n)'s not feeling very well, I have to take care of her. Can we do this another time?"
"Oh, nonsense! You know I can take care of myself." You said, untangling yourself from him, "Besides, I feel much better now. I might even -"
Your words were cut off as Cedric pulled you against his chest.
"I'm sure (y/n) won't tell a soul, there's nothing you can say to me that you can't say to her."
Harry reluctantly started saying something about some girl. Maybe Cho? Ginny? You had no idea. You were too busy feeling Cedric's hard cock against your backside, his hands pressing at your stomach to hold you as close as possible.
You looked up at him and he had a smug look on his face. He knew what he was doing.
His lips were moving, but all you could thing about was his dick inside you, pounding over and over again until your whole body shook.
"What do you think, (y/n)?"
Your name pulls you back from your lustful state and you realise the words came from Harry. He looked doubtful and insecure. You understood him, you'd been in a similar situation after all. Who never has? Pining after someone and not knowing if they'll ever want you back? Too shy and insecure to do anything about it? It was a universal experience.
"I think that I never would have told Cedric about my feelings if he didn't make the first move. I never would have told him how I felt and we wouldn't be together now." You held Cedric's hands on your stomach and smiled at the memory of him first coming to speak with you.
"I think that you will never know how she feels if you never ask. Life is about taking risks. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but that only means that person wasn't the one for you. You are remarkable, Harry Potter. If anyone does not want you it's their loss, not yours. And if they do want you, they'll be extremely lucky to have you."
The boy was blushing by the end of your speech and Cedric smiled down at you.
"D'you really think so?" he asked, but a smile pulled at his lips.
"I do." you answered sincerely.
"Ok, Potter, cheers mate. We gotta go." Cedric said, taking your hand, not waiting for a reply before jogging through the halls, dragging you along with him.
Your laughter echoed through the halls and your stomach clenched in anticipation. Cedric lead you down the stairs and past the kitchens, his face no longer humorous.
He tapped the rhythm to "Helga Hufflepuff" on the right barrel and immediately pushed through, pulling you along with him. You both made your way to his dorm, thanking Merlin once again that prefects have individual rooms.
The click of the lock closing resonated through the room and the only noise left was your heavy breathing as you gazed as one another.
You made the first move, slowly unbuttoning your shirt and leaving it to fall on the floor. Cedric watched, unmoving, as you unzipped your skirt and let it fall as well.
You leaned against the door and he looked at you with a predatory gaze, but you both knew who was in charge.
"Kneel." you commanded and Cedric immediately obeyed, falling to his knees in front of you, holding the back of your thighs.
"Did I say you could touch me?" you asked, raking your hands through his hair.
He removed his hands from you, but begged "I need you so much, please. Can I make you come?" his pupils were blown wide, his brows furrowed, and his erection pressing against his pants.
"Only because you asked so nicely" you answered sweetly and Cedric sighed, his head falling to your mound.
His hands massaged your buttocks as he gave you kisses so close yet so far to where you needed him most.
"Now," you breathed "you are going to give me head and make me cum. Can you do that, baby?"
"Please," he whimpered, kissing your mound, "wanna taste you so bad, darling."
"Go ahead, Ced."
He immediately complied, hiking your right leg over his shoulder and licking from your entrance to your clit. You gasped, steadying yourself against the wall and he moaned against you.
"Always taste so good, my love."
Cedric licked and sucked like a starved man, tearing moan after moan from you.
"Cedric" you whimpered, gripping his hair to bring him closer or push him away. You didn't even know anymore.
He swirled his tongue around your clit before lowering his mouth to your entrance again and plunging his tongue inside. Your groan was loud enough for anyone in the hufflepuff common room and adjacent to hear as he fucked you slowly with his tongue.
"Just like that, baby."
He complied, keeping the same rhythm. In and out, in and out.
Your walls started clenching and warmth spread across your lower stomach, but it still wasn't enough.
"I need more." you said, looking down at him.
Like a good boy, he started stroking your clit with his thumb and worked his tongue faster.
Like that wasn't enough, he looked up at you and just the sight of him on his knees for you, with disheveled hair, eating you out while his spare hand stroked his cock would have brought on your first orgasm.
Your body shook and your knees gave out, but Cedric still held you and kept using his tongue to help you ride out your high.
When it was too much, you pulled his head away from your core by his hair.
"You were so good, my love." You caressed his face "Until you started touching yourself."
"I wasn't going to make myself come, I swear." He stood up "I just wanted to feel good."
"I'll make you feel good, baby." you dragged your finger and nails down his torso, leaving goosebumps as you told him to lie down on the bed.
"Finish taking your clothes off," you said, looking around "I want you naked when I get on that bed."
Finding what you were looking for, you crawled over your boyfriend's body and sat down on top of his erection. The direct contact with your heat made him swear.
You put his arms above his head and bound his wrists to the headboard with your house's tie.
"Please, I swear I won't touch myself." he pulled at the tie "I just wanna touch you, darling."
"Oh, I can't let you do that." you propped your hands on his chest and started a tortuously slow drag of your hips up and down his length, "You've been misbehaving a lot this afternoon. You only get to touch me when you've been a good boy."
"I'll be a good boy, I promise." he whimpered.
"We'll see about that." you answered, grinding a bit faster against him.
His hands were white from pulling at the tie, his breathing laboured and his hips shaking with restraint.
You leaned forward, your breasts falling to his face, "Suck on them."
He leaned towards them and captured your left nipple with his mouth. His nibbling and sucking tore moans from you and made you fasten your pace on his cock.
"Gonna come soon." he managed before turning his attention to your right nipple.
You took his jaw in your hand and kissed him passionately before resting your forehead against his.
His cock started twitching beneath you and Merlin if it didn't bring you an instant from your second orgasm, but you pulled away all at once.
Tears threatened to spill from his eyes and his dick kept spasming, his hips bulking.
Cedric whimpered.
"I know, I know." you cooed "You're doing so good, but I'm not done punishing you just yet."
You connected your lips one last time before making your way to the foot of the bed, caressing his leg as you walked. The growing wetness and incessant pulse between your thighs made you clench them.
"You did so good at training today, Ced." you praised him, "And you looked so handsome, too."
You got on the bed once more, between his legs this time, and he looked down at you.
"Wanted your pretty cock in my mouth the whole time."
He moaned as you started stroking his length, a bead of pre-cum falling onto your hand.
"Please, I want to be inside you." he begged, thrusting into your hand.
"Soon enough, my love." you answered kissing his tip, earning you a hiss "Have patience."
Your mouth watered as you looked at his engorged member, hard against his abs. All flustered cheeks, glistening skin, and shallow breaths, Cedric awaited your next move.
"Glorious." You breathed to yourself, but the seeker flushed even more from the praise.
Your eyes went back to his cock and the vein on the underside was your first target. You heard his moan as you licked him from base to tip, then took him inside your mouth all at once.
His hips bulked and his head hit the back of your throat, making you gag. Your pulse quickened everywhere.
Bobbing your head up and down, sucking harder at the head, you pushed Cedric closer to the edge.
He moaned your name like a prayer, over and over, and you kept up your pace even as tears fell from your eyes and drool spread down your chin.
"Touch my balls." He gasped and you complied, smiling around him.
You cupped and massaged his scrotum, already heavy with cum and you imagined all that inside of you. Moaning at the thought, you gave Cedric one last suck before getting up on your knees to untie him.
His hands flew to your hips and his lips to yours.
"You had your fun, darling, now it's my turn." he said, voice deep and eyes dark. His pupils were so dilated you could barely see the usual grey.
Holding your body to his, he flipped the both of you and looked down at you with one arm holding his weight beside your body, the other hand softly grazing your body.
"Hello, gorgeous." he smiled, diving to kiss you.
You kissed him back, tongues caressing each other and hands roaming.
Two fingers slid from your entrance to your clit and you shuddered.
"So wet for me, aren't you?" he took his digits to his lips and sucked them clean, you bit your bottom lip to contain a moan.
The sight alone could have made you cum.
"I need you to use your words, darling. I'm going to fuck you into the mattress right now, alright?" he said, caressing your face.
The contrast between his words and his tenderness had you squirming "Please." was all you could manage.
Taking his swollen cock, he teased you, dragging the head up and down your slit then circling your clit.
"Hurry!" you whined and he immediately obliged, completely sheathing his cock in your entrance.
Both gasping, your walls clenched around him and Cedric steadied himself against the bed.
Your mingling breaths evened out a bit before Cedric slowly pulled out until the tip and rutted back in again.
One of your hands shot up to hold his biceps while the other splayed against his back.
His length hit deep, hard and slow, making you dizzy.
He moaned your name in your ear, hair brushing the side of your face. Your legs made their way around his waist, letting him hit even deeper and you clenched harder around him.
"Fuck, darling." he groaned, quickening his pace "Need you to come for me, can you do that?"
His every thrust lead you to your second orgasm. How deep he hit, the moans and grunts he let out, how every plunge of his hips rubbed against you clit, the look he had in his eyes.
Every one of your muscles clenched and shook, Cedric moaned, and you let out a cry as blinding pleasure exploded through your body.
Even as you came down from your high, the thrusts didn't stop. If anything, they were harder and faster.
Cedric pulled out and turned you over, bringing your ass towards him. He plunged himself in again and continued his thrusts just as deep and fast as before.
You bit the pillow as he gave your ass a smack, but he still heard your low groan.
"You like that, don't you?" he spanked you again, a bit harder this time, and you cried out "My pretty little cock slut."
You moaned incoherently as he hit just the right spot over and over.
"Gonna come inside you, darling." he grunted.
Grabbing one of his hands placed on your hips, you looked back at him and, as always, the sight was glorious.
Cedric could have been sculpted by the gods themselves, with a layer of sweat that made his skin glow, veins and lean muscles bulging, and sexual prowess you were sure no human should have been made to have.
Interlacing your fingers, he looked into your eyes then shot his head up and his thrusts became sloppier. His dick started swelling inside you and you moaned. He was close and so were you.
"Fill me up, Ced. Wanna be so full of you." was the last thing you managed to say before your walls clenched tightly around him and you let out a silent scream.
Cedric poured out a string of curses and gave one final deep thrust before you felt his release coat your walls. Breathing laboured and bodies exhausted, he fell to his side and brought your body with him.
"You did so good, baby." he praised, kissing your hair, then asked sweetly "Do you need anything? Water, a bath?"
You turned around and curled into him "Just you."
He smiled and kissed your forehead "You'll always have me."
"I love you." you murmured into his chest.
Cedric's heart swelled in his chest and he said "I love you." but you were already asleep.

a/n: dear reader, thank you so much for following this series - i never imagined you would like it so much. i hope you enjoy this final fic, and please do reblog if yes! i’m sad to leave ceddie and harry, but i like how i've ended it :)
The morning after Cedric’s surprise party, you’re woken up by the soft sunlight streaming in through the huge windows of the Hufflepuff common room. Lifting your head up, you hear Cedric grumble, arms tightening around you. The scene feels so cozy that you don’t want to return to reality - but there’s a Herbology midterm coming up, and you’ve never been a natural at the subject, unlike a certain Hufflepuff. And so, you begin extricating yourself from Cedric’s embrace, which is no easy feat.
“How’s it feel to be seventeen, Ceddie?”
You get a groan in response.
“Alright, alright, then you stay put, but I’ve got to go study. I’m not a genius like you,” you tease, squirming in your efforts to slide out of his grasp.
“‘M not a genius, Y/N/N. You help me all the time. Don’t go, I know you’re ready for it, you don’t need anymore studying,” comes a sleepy protest.
“Mm… thank you for your confidence, but I assure you I am not in the least prepared. And what is all this bad advice coming from a prefect,” you raise an eyebrow, before finally slipping out of Cedric’s arms, and standing up immediately to avoid being pulled back in.
You feel the loss of Cedric’s warmth around your shoulders, and it weakens your resolve far more than it should, so you figure you need to leave as soon as possible, before grey eyes melt you into a puddle and back into his chest.
“Oh, fine. Leave me right after spending the night,” Cedric jokes, fully awake at last. He chuckles at the flush on your cheeks from this statement, and dodges your hit to his arm. “Just kidding, darling. Thank you for the party. Now go do what you have to do, I know you’re a busy girl.”
You smile softly, before tiptoeing up to ruffle his hair, and turn to leave. The gray eyes don’t leave you until you’re fully out of sight.
******
Climbing through the portrait hole, you see Ron and Harry sitting on the carpeted floor in front of the hearth, playing Wizard’s Chess, and Hermione engrossed in a book on the nearby couch. The scene is so familiar and comforting that it brings an involuntary smile to your face, before you wipe it off, the fight replaying in your head.
Ron is the first to see you, freezing mid-check, and gives a weak wave. Harry turns, and so does Hermione, with the former also stiffing up, and the latter offering a sweet smile. Hermione then looks back, and, finding the two boys silent, rolls her eyes, and jerks her head in your direction, glaring at them.
Spurned, Ron and Harry stand up, and walk over, looking so dejected that you almost feel sorry for them.
“Y/N - it’s nice to see you again,” Ron begins, his expression sheepish. Harry nods to echo the sentiment.
“We just wanted to apologize for that night. For the mean things we said. None of it was true, and it was of no fault on your end,” Ron confesses.
Your eyes soften, and give him a pat on the shoulder, “thanks Ronnie. And I expect you’ve said the same to ‘Mione?” giving him a pointed look, to which he nods fervently. At this, you offer a smile at last, and seeing this, Ron seems to realize he’s forgiven.
“I’ll give you two some space then,” he says, guiding Hermione away, and leaving Harry alone with you in the Gryffindor Common Room.
Harry gestures for you to sit, and the two of you settle in on the carpet.
“Y/N/N - I’m really, honestly sorry. I had no right to say what I said, and I’ve felt horrid about it every day since then. I know you’ll always have my back, and some Yule Ball date would never change that. I hope you’ll forgive me,” the black haired boy finally blurts, the words spilling out of him.
Your resolve crumbles. I mean, this is Harry. One of your best friends. You could never stay mad at him, no matter how much he messes up. It’s like he said: you have each other’s backs. So you lean forward and hug him, breathing in the smell of broom polish and treacle toffee that you had missed incredibly, feeling the boy physically relax into your touch.
“You really like him, don’t you?” Harry chimes, as you pull out of the hug.
“Yes, I do. And I hope you’re okay with that,” you share, crimson spilling onto your cheeks.
Harry nods, a grin spreading across his face, “I am, really. I know I acted in jealousy at the ball, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually felt romantically towards you - not that you’re unlikeable, you know, just -”
You laugh out loud, cutting him off, and offer a nod, “I get it, don’t stress yourself out, mate.”
He nods in relief, “you’re my best friend, Y/N/N, and that’s it. I love our relationship, and I do not want it to ever change.”
You nod, feeling better than you have in nearly a month.
Ron and Hermione choose that exact moment to enter the room, the guilt of eavesdropping written on their faces. But you’re far too happy to care - the gang’s back together.
******
Over the next month, life returns to normal, or rather, a new normal. Hermione is hanging out with Krum as much as possible, to make the most of their time together before the tournament ends and he returns to Durmstrang. You don’t see her nearly as much anymore, but it’s understandable.
Instead, you spend your days either studying out on the greens with Harry and Ron, or hanging out with Cedric, going to Hogsmeade’s various little cafes.
The second tournament task comes along, and you, Hermione, and Ron are pulled into the headmaster’s office then sent to the bottom of the Black Lake. When you awake, Cedric is treading water to keep the two of you above the lake, and you’re quickly pulled out and given a warm towel. Since Cedric finished first, the two of you rest in the champion seating section, and the boy keeps asking you if you’re okay, despite your fervent exclamations that you’re probably doing better than he is.
His friends soon surround him, arriving with endless teasing about how you’re the person “he’ll sorely miss,” and Cedric flushes scarlet at their words, refusing to meet your eyes. Eventually, he manages to shove them all away, and looks down to see you grinning.
“Ced, just so you know, I would’ve sorely missed you too,” you admit, before pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
Suddenly, Cedric could care less about his friends. He feels warm and dry and cozy, not a trace of the Black Lake’s eeriness on his mind.
******
A few weeks later, and it’s your birthday. Cedric had wracked his brain for ways to top your surprise party for him, and enlisted the help of the trio to do so. Hermione contributed all your likes and dislikes: she knew you like the back of her hand; Ron got Fred and George to put together a little sparkler show for you, and Harry was in charge of inviting all your closest friends.
The day of, you wake up to Cedric’s voice, before he gives you five minutes to pick an outfit, then promptly blindfolds you and leads you out to the courtyard, where the cutest picnic party had been set up. You laugh in delight, ecstatic, and after a quick kiss for Ced, rush over to meet up with your friends.
As you catch up over drinks with them, two boys, one Gryffindor, one Hufflepuff, are standing a distance away, both looking at you with slight smiles.
Soon, the sky is darkening and the party growing more and more uproarious. You spin around to see Harry and Cedric talking, and grin. Strolling over, you place an arm around each. Cedric kisses your hair, and you give Harry a tight hug.
“Thank you for all of this,” you say, “seriously. I’ve never been happier.”
Before they can reply: you were never one for cheesy emotions, you (forcibly) pull them toward the karaoke machine, where Ron and Hermione are singing their hearts out.

A frustrated sigh left your lips while you made your way inside the Hufflepuff common room. Your boyfriend, Cedric, had an amused smile on his lips as he followed behind you, quickly noticing the way other Hufflepuff students looked at the two of you, hence he couldn’t help but chuckle.
“I really can’t do this anymore.”, you said, annoyance lacing your voice before you let yourself fall on one of the sofas. Cedric sat down next to you. You let your hair, which had just been in a ponytail, down, feeling the light headache fade away while simultaneously massaging your scalp.
Both of you had been in the library the whole day, only leaving it to get some food in the Great Hall. Your OWL’s were coming up, and you, especially Cedric though, needed to get good results, hence most of your Hogwarts days currently only consisted of classes, eating, studying and a little sleep.
Your boyfriend wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps and wanted to get a job at the Ministry of Magic. On the other hand, you still had no idea what you wanted to do after graduating from Hogwarts. You had always dreamed of having a small shop in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. Your parents weren’t that supportive of this idea, however, Cedric tried to encourage you to just go for what you really wanted and not care about what anyone else thought.
“Exams are almost over,” Cedric stated while he put his arm around your shoulders, pulling you close to him before he gently kissed your temple.
“And once they are, we will put all our schoolbooks away. We can finally go on those Hogsmeade dates that you’ve been wanting to go on for so long.”
This made a bright smile appear on your lips. You looked up at your boyfriend, who grinned down at you. Even before you two started dating, Cedric always knew what to say or do to make you feel better.
“Well, that is definitely somewhat of a motivation. Finally, something to look forward to after all this stress.”
You leaned in and pressed a loving kiss on your boyfriend’s lips, both of you smiling into it before you slightly pulled away. You couldn’t help but press another few pecks on his lips, making Cedric laugh. You scrunched up your nose lightly, admiring your boyfriend’s features a bit more before you put your head on his chest, feeling his hand caress your arm.
Even though you knew that your common Hufflepuffs were probably watching you, you didn’t care about it. You loved sitting in the common room, cuddled up to Cedric. It was cosy, and it was your second home. It made you feel calm and collected, and you always looked forward to sitting on the sofa in the evening after you were done with classes.
You felt Cedric press another kiss on top of your head. You looked up at him, a soft smile gracing your lips while you leaned in and pressed yet another sweet kiss on your boyfriend’s lips. You just couldn’t get enough of him.
“Thank you for being there for me and helping me whenever I have no idea what Professor Trelawney is talking about.”
The two of you started laughing, knowing exactly that neither you nor Cedric really knew what she was talking about.
“No need to thank me. You know I love spending as much time with you as possible.”
You knew that you were blushing, but you didn’t mind. Everyone knew that you were utterly in love with Cedric Diggory, and he was with you.

soaked to the bone, you and cedric ran with your hands clasped together towards the castle, summer rain pouring from the heavens above. it had been an unusually warm august, and cedric had planned a small date for the two of you down by the lake; he filled a basket with luscious fruits, treats and pink lemonade before asking if you fancied going for a swim.
neither of you had planned to stay out until the late evening, watching the light bleed into the night sky as the sun set, but you felt so at home spending the day doing nothing but being with cedric. it was only when you noticed dark, brooding clouds in the distance, sure they were to travel close by and release their heavy burden, that you began to think of returning.
now sprinting up to the wooden bridge, which offered you shelter, cedric laughed as he slipped on the drenched grass, his hand gripping yours tighter as he fought for balance.
“hey! don’t take me down with you,” you giggled, stepping into the stone entrance where you could catch your breath.
“like you wouldn’t do the same,” he sniggered, ruffling his hair and shaking his head like a dog.
“Oi!” you laughed, recoiling slightly as the water sprayed from his hair, “watch it.”
“sorry,” he smiled sheepishly, stepping closer to you to cup your face in his hands.
“ugh, move!” some snarky slytherin groaned, who you hadn’t noticed, pushing you out of the way as they led the rest of the quidditch team through.
“wow, they’re pretty dedicated to practice in this weather,” you cocked an eyebrow, pulling cedric back to you by his shirt.
your neck was turned as you watched the line of slytherins trudge down to the quidditch pitch, looking rather glum, and cedric took advantage of the opportunity to kiss your damp neck. his mouth was warm and soft, his breath heating your cool skin as he whispered against it.
“come on,” he said lowly, rising up to your cheek, “i’m getting cold.”
following him along the old bridge and jogging through the small courtyard, the warmth of the castle greeted you like an old friend, caressing you gently from the storm brewing outside.
“do you think it will thunder?” you asked cedric as you descended the stairs, rubbing your damp sleeves over your face.
“dunno,” he shrugged, “maybe.”
he spoke the password to the common room and led you to his dorm, a route you now had memorised like the back of your hand. if he had asked you to lead him blind back to his room from any point in the castle, you could do it—it was all mapped out in your head.
“here,” cedric threw you a hoodie and some old joggers he never wore anymore, mostly because you always wore them so now they felt like yours.
he removed his shirt and grabbed a towel from a nearby chair, drying his hair, face and torso as best he could. as you peeled your wet clothes from your body, your eyes remained fixed to the person in front of you, his subtly defined abs and muscles and the way they stretched as he pulled a new, clean shirt over his head.
“cheeky,” he laughed breathily, catching your lingering stare.
heat rose to your cheeks and you turned away sheepishly, fiddling with your clothes to get undressed and slip into some more comfortable ones, his warm and dry clothes over your body. you felt cedric come up behind you after a moment, resting his head on your shoulder and twisting you from left to right in a rocking motion.
“i don’t mind if you look,” he muttered in your ear, kissing your head.
even though he was yours, sometimes you forgot to remember. sometimes you saw him across the room, laughing with his friends and then catching your eye, and you still turned away from him like you shouldn’t have been looking. cedric would ask sometimes why you would turn away without so much as a smile, as the strange guilt crept up your neck as if you’d been caught doing something you shouldn’t have, but you couldn’t tell him the truth, though you knew he wouldn’t laugh. but he wouldn’t understand.
it didn’t matter though, not really.
“you have to be up early tomorrow,” you reminded him, turning around to press your ear against his chest, “we should go to bed,” his heart thumped.
“i know,” he mumbled in response, letting go of you to walk over to the bed and get comfortable beneath the sheets.
you sighed contently, smiling at the open window cedric hadn’t closed because he knew you liked listening to the rain. climbing into his bed beside him, you snuggled up close and rested your head on his chest where his heart continued to thump, soothing you as it always had done.
“where’s my goodnight kiss?” he asked quietly, stroking your hair, pulling it away from your face.
you giggled, looking up to him—the hand that wasn’t planted in your hair was behind his head, his left elbow pointed to the side. a delicate smile rested upon his lips, waiting patiently to feel yours against his. straining to push yourself up to his face, you gave him a sweet kiss, long enough to leave him satisfied and returned to your comfortable spot on his chest.
“love you,” he said, twirling your hair.
“love you too,” you hugged him tighter.

hiii!
i was wondering if i could get cedric diggory x fem!ravenclaw!reader + basically just mutual pining until they smell eachother in their amortetia potions or sum?
tysm ❤️❤️
Cedric Diggory was not in love with you. He was perfect, and beautiful, and altogether far too good for average, boring old you. That's what you told yourself when he caught your eye across the classroom, or when his hand lingered on yours far longer than it needed to, or when his cheeks were dusted with a rosy pink when there was no one else around.
No, Cedric Diggory couldn't be in love with you. He couldn't be in love with you because you were in love with him.
You trudged into the potions classroom, prepared for the utter embarrassment Amortentia was going to bring you. The potion smelled of whatever you were attracted to, which in your case was cinnamon, firewood, and chocolate - Cedric. Cedric, who happened to be your partner in potions.
"I want you to describe to your partners what you smell," drawled Snape. "I don't care if it's embarrassing, I don't care if you think it's pointless, it's in the curriculum so you're going to do it."
Grumbles sounded around the classroom, fading into nervous chatter as students embarrassed themselves publicly.
"I'll go first," Cedric offered kindly. He took a deep whiff of the potion. "I smell..." He took another whiff. "It's like a mix of trees, fruit, and flowers." He smiled at you. "Your turn."
You were in shock. The scent he described was exactly the way your perfume smelled. You couldn't deny it anymore. Cedric Diggory was in love with you.
You shook off the thought and smelled the potion. "Cinnamon, firewood, and chocolate." Just as you had expected.
Cedric tilted his head with a confused smile. "That kinda sounds like the way I smell." Then it dawned on him. "Oh."
You smiled shyly. "Yeah..."
Cedric grinned. "I guess I kinda gave myself away too. I basically just smelled your perfume."
You giggled. "So..."
"Do you wanna go to Hogsmeade with me?" Cedric can't stop smiling, and neither can you.
"I would love to."

X
It had been nearly a year since the girl had set foot inside the Room of Requirement. Nearly a year since Draco Malfoy had outed Dumbledore’s Army to Professor Umbridge, which Cedric Diggory was sure to point out to the blond the moment they set foot inside their hiding place. This room was different from the version she’d come to know during her lessons with Harry throughout her fifth year. This room was a never-ending sea of cupboards, tables, chairs, and every miscellaneous odd object one could possibly imagine. It was amongst the mess that the girl drifted, coming to a halt only when they were deep enough into the junk that even an uninvited guest would struggle to find them. The unlikely trio slowed, all three eyeing the single squashy sofa chair that sat nestled between a scratched-up desk and rickety stool.
Both boys eyed instinctively moved to give the girl the sofa chair, stepping aside to each of its arms in offer. Awkwardly, the girl pursed her lips and considered her other options. Cautiously, she ran her index finger through a line of thick dust on the nearby abandoned desk. Then, she was hoisting herself up onto it with a shrug. Disgruntled, the boys moved from the chair, Cedric upon the stool, and Malfoy choosing to lean against the empty sofa.
“So,” the girl cleared her throat, an uncomfortable quiet settling over them. “My father,” she turned to Draco. “Tell me.”
Draco’s mouth opened slowly, unsure where to begin.
“He’s alive?” she pressed.
“Yes,” the blond began rather carefully.
“Prove it,” the girl demanded at once.
He couldn’t help it. The Slytherin shook his silver-white strands of hair with a gentle laugh. Cedric didn’t look too pleased about it, or really just the whole ordeal in general, but he was sure to remain well-behaved this time around.
“How very demanding of you,” he noted with his usual edge of flirtatiousness.
The girl didn’t budge. Rather, straight-mouthed, she simply stared with urgent seriousness into the pale boy’s glittering ice-colored eyes. This was no time for his coquettishness.
“Y/N,” Draco’s mouth twisted cooly. “Surely you don’t think it’s that simple?”
“And why not?” she prodded.
“You-Know-Who,” Malfoy elaborated. “He’s very—” he paused, thinking, “—intentional. With his strategy. With what he wants people to know. And what people know right now is that your father is dead. That’s what you believe too, is it not?”
Frustratedly, the girl nodded. “Well, it’s something like that,” she breathed. This was at the bottom of her list of topics she liked to discuss, and it was one she’d kept to herself for the entirety of her life. “My mother died first, as you know.”
She swallowed. Both boys stared at her with a fixated intensity that only made her more anxious.
“They said he did it. My father, of course. Because that same night was when…” she trailed off.
“Well, I’m sure you’ve both heard it for the last six years anyways,” she clenched her teeth together.
Still unmoving, the pair blinked in silent understanding.
“It was all over the Daily Prophet, what he did. Killing my mother, and then taking out ten muggles with him in what they deemed his horrific Voldemort-affiliated suicide.”  Both boys flinched instinctively at the sound of the wizard’s name. She inhaled a shaky gulp of air. “I was only a child, at the time. Just about Harry’s age, actually. Which is ironic,” she reflected, “because even after knowing of it all, he still… he still wanted to be my friend.” Her lips pursed in quiet contemplation before she continued. “Well, the Ministry notified me about it when it happened. Obviously, I don’t remember it well. He murdered a bunch of muggles during a fire, they said. Only, they didn’t do too much reporting on him after the fact because—”
The word hung in the air for a moment. Because. Draco and Cedric were practically leaning forward into her storm of words now.
“Because they never found a body,” she finished.
“What?” they harmonized.
“It wasn’t reported on,” she sighed. “The Ministry didn’t want to cause an unnecessary panic,” she added. “But I went to the funeral, still. It was just me and a guardian from the orphanage that they’d assigned to me from the home.”
Much like Harry, the girl’s life before Hogwarts was not one she looked back on with particular fondness.
“There was no body,” she finished. “Just an empty casket.”
Her eyes came to Cedric’s, bluish-green and sad, and Draco’s, soft and wide.
“I always just assumed it was true,” she said. “I hoped he was dead. After what he did, how could I let myself think otherwise? But then, after what you said,” she breathed, eyes falling on Draco’s. “Well, I suppose a tiny part of myself always feared it, but I never really believed it. I didn’t want to. But now,” she said, leaning forward onto her knees, “you know something.”
The blond straightened, his mouth drooping, brows creasing.
“I am sorry, Y/N,” he began sincerely, to which she shook her head. “I am,” he repeated, firm this time.
“It can’t possibly have been easy, what you went through,” Cedric added.
The boys looked briefly at each other, an unspoken exchange occurring in their stares.
“Stop,” she raised a hand with a sour-faced scowl. “I don’t want pity from either of you two, okay? I just want to know if it’s true. I need to know where he is.”
The girl turned her legs back towards Draco, sitting more upright. Reluctantly, the blond folded his arms across his chest, his long white fingers curling over the sleeves of his black robes.
“The Death Eaters,” he began. “There are whispers I’ve heard, things my father has told me. You-Know-Who’s Army is stirring. People are—” he stammered “showing up, again. People who were thought to be gone.”
Draco’s gaze turned gentler yet, sympathy swallowing his visage.
“Have you seen him then?” the Hufflepuff responded with a slow suck of air through her teeth. “Is it true?”
The Slytherin’s jaw loosened. His silence reverberated through the room, the fierceness of his gaze so consuming that for a moment it was only him and the girl in there.
“Yes,” he answered quietly. “It’s true. I’ve seen him myself.”
Her heart sank. Sure, he’d claimed it before. But this time she could feel in his words, in those eyes too, that Draco was being honest.
“Well then. I want to see him too,” she decided.
“What?” Cedric interjected at last. “Y/N—”
“I want to know exactly what happened that night,” she fired off before the brunette could get a start. “I want to hear it from his mouth,” she said. “And when he’s done,” she hopped down onto the balls of her feet with a brush of her hair behind her ears, “I’m going to kill him myself.”
Both boys froze. Cedric, a little mortified, and Draco, a little less so. It was the former who spoke first.
“Even if it were true,” Cedric argued, tarnishing Draco’s word as he did, “you’d have to get him in the same room as you. What makes you think he’d even want to do that, for starters?”
Draco Malfoy replied, so quietly that neither of his two listeners heard at first. A moment later, he cleared his throat, jaw hardening.
“He told me so,” the boy uttered, clear as day.
“What? Really? Why?” the questions left the girl’s trembling lips faster than she could process them.
“Yes. And also, I’m not one of them, before you get started,” Draco worded bitterly in Cedric’s direction for good measure. “But yes. He came to Malfoy Manor, over the Summer for one of my father’s so-called ‘meetings.’” His tone shifted displeasingly. “He cornered me one evening asking if I knew you,” he rambled, eyes flickering between the girls.’ “I told him yes. But, really, I didn’t even realize it was him until after he’d gone,” Malfoy worded cautiously. “But, looking back, what unsettles me most is how he seemed so…” his words were swallowed by momentary thought. “He seemed concerned.”
“Concerned?” the girl echoed.
“Yes,” he confirmed hesitantly. Then he added, “for you. He wanted to know,” Draco swallowed “that you were alright.”
Where the girl perhaps should have felt some form of confusion or care, she only felt even more resentful.
“You’re telling the truth?” she interrogated the blond disbelievingly.
“I am,” he bowed his head.
“Swear it,” she commanded with a step closer to him.
Draco appeared increasingly flustered. Cedric straightened as he watched in silence. His mouth loosening, Draco bore his gaze into the face of the girl who had no doubt been hurt and tricked before. She only wanted answers, answers that he alone could give her.
“I swear,” he promised, voice gravelly.
Her eyes welled with the tears she fought back.
“Okay,” she said. “I trust you,” she nodded with a little sniffle. “But I don’t trust him,”
Malfoy nodded understandingly, and he looked desperately as if he wanted to hold her, take her hand, anything. But he didn’t.
“I know,” he phrased, and it was just them again now. “I know.”
The girl allowed herself a moment, nose pointing away as she barred her emotions within the confines of her increasingly tightening chest.
“I still want to see him,” she decided, leaving her intentions intentionally vague for the moment being.
“Y/N,” he shook his head. You have no idea the danger you’d be putting yourself in,” his arms dropped, hands finding their way into his pockets.
“But,” she ignored him, “you do know how then? Is that what you’re saying?”
“Y/N,” his lashes fluttered as he repeated her name, more tenderly this time.
“Answer me,” she said, stepping in closer toward the blonde.
His lips quivered, expression reluctant, but he maintained her stare still.
“Yes,” he sighed. “Hypothetically, yes. There is a way you could speak with him.”
“Excellent,” she perked up. “How?”
Chewing at his cheek, the boy lifted a glittering ring-clad finger to the great big cabinet that stood three feet behind the girl. A vanishing cabinet, she realized at once. One that surely could connect to another outside of the school, with the right tinkering.
“No.”
Cedric’s voice cut through the exchange, quiet but unmistakable.
“No?” the girl spun to face her boyfriend. “What do you mean, no?”
“I mean,” he stood with a shake of his head. “That this is too unsafe. For you, and for everyone in the school. You’d be allowing your father, a killer, a direct path into Hogwarts. Y/N. It’s too dangerous.”
“I could keep it under control,” she objected. “It’s fine.”
“No, it’s selfish,” Cedric corrected.
His words stung, red-hot and foul. For several moments, nobody so much as moved. Fighting back the flurry of emotions that crashed upon her, the girl turned her head ever so slightly. This was becoming too much, and too quickly.
“Y/N, I’m sorry,” Cedric pressed his lips together, breath coming short and frustrated. “I didn’t mean—”
“I think you should go,” she silenced him.
Cedric looked like he’d been slapped across the face. Regret and hurt washed over his flushed and delicately carved cheeks. A lump formed in the boy’s throat as he turned his eyes to the old floorboards with a sorrowful shake of his head that sent brown waves spilling over his brows.
“I—” he tried, his voice awfully raspy as it lowered in plea. “Is that really what you want?”
She could barely look at him now. It’s not like she loved him any less. She knew exactly where he was coming from, and it was a place of love, no doubt. But she also knew that he would never be able to understand what this meant to her, why it mattered.
“It is, yes.”
Cedric didn’t even manage another word this time. Instead, he simply nodded. His eyes drifted from his girlfriend’s to the blond’s, and an instant dislike overwhelmed him. It was to him that he spoke his goodbyes.
“You know this isn’t the right way,” he hardened. “Please,” he bargained. “Don’t. For her.”
But the Slytherin didn't so much as budge.
“This is her life,” he murmured. “Her choice.”.
“She could get hurt—”
“You don’t think I know that?” he spat softly, silencing the Hufflepuff. “I do. Of course I do.” Two searing ice-colored eyes made their way to the girl’s stricken visage. It was her that he spoke to now. “But… I also know what it’s like to not be given a choice,” Malfoy defended quietly, his words heavy with unspoken personal implications. “And so… I won’t be the one to deny her that. I can’t be.”
Cedric, wounded, turned to his best friend with a final heavy breath. But, when she didn’t look back his way, he accepted his loss. Silently, he offered his rival a final lingering glare, one burning with resentment, and then he was gone. It was minutes later, after he’d gone, that Draco finally spoke.
“Are you alright?” his voice came, quiet and unfamiliarly gentle.
At last, the girl was able to meet his eyes again. Only this time there was no pushing back the wave of tears that clung against her reddened stare, or the unbearable tremor of her face as she wiped at it. At first, she tried to croak out something of an “I’m fine,” but after being met with a clearly disbelieving deer-in-the-headlights blink from the blond, she gave in.
“No,” her voice cracked as she ran her tongue over her lips, a strained chuckle escaping her. “I’m not okay.’
She swallowed, allowing herself another glance at the Slytherin. The boy sighed, slow and soft. She could see his fingers curling in his pockets as his tongue ran over his teeth. It was taking every ounce of control he had to maintain his distance, to not bring her close as he wished he could. No, not after she’d made clear the terms of this arrangement. She was not his to hold. But the girl had turned her attention away now and was focusing it instead on the grand cabinet that stood tall behind her.
“Alright,” she spoke to its wooden door. “How do we use this thing?”
Nothing said the end of the semester quite like yet another one of Slughorn’s odd and appropriately deemed ‘Slug Club’ events. This time, the frog-like professor had upped the status of his special invites from ice cream party to the real deal. Each of his guests was allowed one date, and of course, Cedric had lasted all of a minute before asking his girlfriend to join him as his official date. At the time, she had only rolled her eyes and scrunched her nose into a laugh that meant ‘yes’, but now, on the evening of its occurrence, the feeling in the air had shifted. Where a lingering excitement had begun to form for, of all things, a Slughorn party, was a newfound uncomfortability that she hadn’t quite figured out how to handle.
That night, as she descended the spinning staircase that led to the Professor’s party, a memory flashed before her eyes. The cream-colored dress she’d worn to Slughorn’s last dinner, the way Cedric’s face looked when he saw her, still clear as day in her vision. And the feeling of his fingers, warm and soft as he held her hand beneath the table. And so, midnight blue dress spilling over the curves of her shoulders and hair meticulously curled to perfection, she urged away her frustration. And, seeing her boyfriend dressed handsomely in a fitted white button-up with a dark blazer to match, she almost forgot entirely. There was that upturn of his full lips and the familiar shine engulfing his eyes, just as he’d looked the last time. It was undeniable in his face — he loved her still as he had then. Maybe more, in fact.
“Hi,” the girl exhaled with a shy smile as she reached the foot of the staircase.
“Hello,” Cedric’s voice rumbled, warm and low. “You look,” he paused, making no effort to hide the stare that traveled from the girl’s eyes to the slit in the side of her dress. “Beautiful,” he finished politely.
“Thanks,” she chuckled, her face flushing. “You don’t look too bad, yourself.”
The smile the boy offered was almost debilitatingly handsome. The two laughed quietly, the sweet moment lingering for a little before being swallowed whole by the silence it left. Nervously, Cedric let his mouth fall open.
“Erm—” he tried through a short breath, “about earlier.”
“Ced,” the girl interjected. “It’s alright.”
Cedric shook his head, gold-brown waves bouncing over his forehead and framing his bewildered gaze handsomely.
“But—”
“Look,” she tried slowly. “Can we just…forget about it? At least for right now? It’s the end of the semester, and a really long one at that” she explained. “And I’m tired, and panicked, and dreading this ordeal, and I just—” she rambled. “I love you.”
Cedric’s ocean eyes widened, his face flooded with relief and pining.
“I love you,” she repeated, stepping in closer to her best friend. She reached each of her palms to his blazer, gripping the boy by each side with an angled stare of her doe eyes at him, which did the job well enough.
“I love you too,” he murmured with a brush of his long fingers through her hair.
The boy’s right hand stopped against her cheek, thumb grazing her skin as he moved his left hand against her hip. For a moment, he only drank her in from a distance, consuming her wholly with a flicker of his eyes across her body. But soon finding himself unable to resist, he was bringing the girl forward with a tug of her face toward his lips. She raised to the tips of her toes to reach him, her left hand curling around the boy’s wrist for support as her lips opened against his with a smile. She could feel the stretch of his mouth, the mirror of his flashing teeth as he laughed warmly into her kiss, his left hand squeezing a little tightly at her waist, and then tighter yet. She paused, a surprised and eager moan of contentment caught in Cedric’s grin.
“Oh, come on. Get a room. Or a broom closet, at least.”
The two untangled themselves at once, spinning around to face their friend and spectator.
“Harry!” Y/N exclaimed with mild horror.
“Y/N!” He exclaimed back casually as if he hadn’t just caught her entangled in a rather passionate kiss with one of his best friends.
“Harry,” Cedric’s mouth went into that lopsided grin of half-embarrassment half-pride. “Good to see you, mate.”
“Was it?” Harry countered jokingly.
The girl pressed her fingertips to her temples with embarrassment.
“Of course,” Cedric huffed smartly. “It’s going to be a wonderful evening, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Ah. Yes.”  Harry forced his lips into a terribly awkward smile of encouragement. “I’m sure you’ll be having a great night.”
“Harry—” the girl straightened with a gawk.
“Yes?” he perked up with a rock forward on its heels. Then, pointing down the hall, he stopped whatever conversation was about to happen. “Well, so unfortunate to cut this short,” he declared. “But my date is arriving so I really best be—” he waved a hand at the blonde girl who stood about thirty feet away from the group.
There was Luna Lovegood, looking as Luna-y as ever in her spindly and sparkly violet dress.
“—best be going,” Harry finished. Then he did a sort of bow goodbye before promptly beginning his sprint away from the caught couple.
“Oh my God,” the girl covered her face in shame once he’d left.
“Oh, come on,” Cedric brushed his fingertips through his girlfriend’s hair as she pressed her forehead to his chest, where she hoped to be buried away from what had just happened.
“Ced. That was terrible,” she moaned into his chest.
“It was funny,” Cedric countered positively, dropping a kiss to her forehead. “Now come on,” he said, “we really have to get going.”
She pulled away, her palms resting against his opened wrists as she pouted up at him.
“Why? What’s the big rush to get to Slughorn’s party?” she asked.
“Oh,” Cedric feigned surprise. “No, not that.” He was barely holding himself together now as he wheezed through his next words. “There’s a broom cupboard,” he offered, “just down the hall.”
“Ced!” she snapped with a disgusted laugh and a smack of her hand to the boy’s chest.
The boy buckled over in laughter as she began her overdramatic storm away from him. He laughed through his pleas for her to come back, all the while.
“I’ll see you at the party!” she called over her shoulder.
“Wait!” he begged as he brought himself upright. “You can’t go running off without me, you’re my date!”
The girl paused, throwing a curtain of curls and a devilish grin over her shoulder.
“Then you had better catch me.”
. . .
The night went oddly, predictably. First, there was Hermione, spending the majority of the event hidden away from frat boy Cormac McLaggen whom she’d invited for some reason. Then there was a very uncomfortable conversation between Y/N, Luna, and Slughorn, in which Luna wound up smacking about the clouds of invisible wrackspurts that she claimed resided before the professor’s bewildered eyes. At one point Harry appeared, muttering something along the lines of ‘setting Snape’s head on fire,’ before whisking away into the crowd. And then there was Cedric, so polite as he chatted up every terribly boring guest who looked his way, his girlfriend an unwilling victim to the dull onslaught of conversations.
It was around the point that she was considering leaving when the girl saw Draco, of all people, amidst the crowd. But what was especially strange about it all was that it was Mr. Filch who was accompanying him, dragging the blond in by the collar of his black suit. Draco’s shoulders were hunched, his eyes glued to the floor with embarrassment. As Filch paraded him before the crowd, the Slytherin’s eyes dared to meet Y/N’s. They widened, then fell once again.
“Found him lurking in this corridor,” Filch declared with a turn to professor Slughorn. “He claims to have been invited to your party.”
“Okay!” Draco snapped, exasperated. His nostrils flared as those searing ice-colored daggers came up to meet his audience. “I was gatecrashing,” he admitted with an ashamed tilt of his head. “Happy?”
“Oh,” Slughorn put his hands on his hips. “Well! I suppose we do have the room, dear boy—” he began “If you’d like to stay—”
But before he could decide, Snape answered.
“I’ll escort him out.”
Two loud footfalls came slowly to a halt as the greasy-haired Professor came to a stop before the blond. Severus Snape bent his sharp nose toward the boy with a flicker of his charcoal black eyes across his guilt-stricken face. Slowly, a sneer curled onto Draco’s lips.
“Certainly, professor,” he hissed lowly.
Nobody dared to move, for a moment.
“Alright! Everyone, carry on, carry on!” Slughorn demanded with a jovial wave of his hands.
A murmur began to fill the room, then a quiet sea of conversation washed its way back to life. But, with no interest in staying anyways, the girl set her sights outside of Slughorn’s party. Without a second glance back, she reached for her wand and glided swiftly from the warm room and its twinkling string lights. Out in the corridor outside, she was surprised to see Harry Potter already standing there, leaning against the wall incredibly conspicuously.
“What are y—” the girl started to speak.
Silencing her, the boy-who-lived raised a finger to his lips in warning. Then he tilted his head to the right. From just around the corner, when it was quiet enough, she could make out Snape’s unpleasant and familiar voice.
“I’m spying on Malfoy,” Harry whispered as the girl approached him. “What are you doing?” he asked after a moment.
She sighed and stood behind him, leaning against the wall as he did.
“Same thing,” she huffed.
“Y/N? Harry?” came Cedric’s warm voice as he too emerged from the gathering.
Both friends silenced him with alarmed eyes and a demanding “SHH!”
“Sorry,” he apologized through a low murmur. “Spying on Draco?” he asked expectedly.
They both nodded.
Eyes rolling, the brunette stuffed two hands into his pockets and padded his way over to the wall, where he would tilt his ear against it as the two before him had. There, the three bent diagonally against the stone, listening as best they could.
“I swore to protect you,” came the sneer of Severus Snape.
“I don’t need your protection,” spat Draco, instantaneously.
The girl felt her stomach lurch with sadness for him. His answer was almost too-predictable. But then he dared to go on.
“I was chosen for this. Out of all others. Me.”
She swallowed, straightening with fear. From either side of her, both boys also shifted nervously at his words.
“I was chosen,” he repeated, crueler this time. “This is my moment. And I won’t fail.”
But it was just one kind of cruelty that she had long since come to recognize in the Slytherin. It bore the same spiteful intonations as the words he used to pridefully spit her way back when he still claimed he resented her. He didn’t mean what he was saying, but his words were laced with the poison of pretending like he did. Whatever was going on, he didn’t want a part of it. She deciphered that much from the quiver of his voice alone.
There was a scuffle of shoes and limbs, and then the heavier set of footsteps, Snape’s, were disappearing down the corridor. But still, Draco remained.
“I knew it,” came Cedric’s voice from behind her. “He’s with them.”
Harry turned. “He hasn’t actually admitted to anything.”
“He’s clearly entangled in something,” Cedric’s brows came together. “What else could it be?”
She could see the boy’s mind racing. She could see that he already knew the answer.
“Stop,” the girl hissed under her breath. “Both of you.”
The boys froze, staring at their friend in bewilderment.
“Can’t you hear he’s hurting?” she said with a gape. “He’s still there,” she waved a hand indicatively. “And he’s not alright.”
“What do you mean?” Harry whispered cluelessly.
“Whatever he’s bound by,” she worded vaguely. “He wants out.”
“Y/N,” Cedric chimed, shaken by her sudden defense of the Slytherin. “He just said this was his moment. He’s said it like it’s an honor, a gift.”
“But what does that even mean?” Harry stated, more to himself than to the Hufflepuffs.
“Sure, he said it,” the girl explained, aggravated. “But can’t you tell he’s lying?”
Two sets of eyes were on her again. And they were looking at her as if she were mad.
A hint of a smile grabbed at Cedric’s lips. “And… you got all of that from… his tone of voice?”
Her nostrils flared. “Yes.”
“Y/N,” he shook his head through a flustered stammer. “How can you blame me for not hearing the lengths you’ll go to in order to defend him?” There was that last word, dusted with salt and familiar bitterness. Him.
“You’re wrong,” the girl shot back, loud enough that her voice was sure to have traveled over to the next corridor. But she didn’t really care now. “And mean.”
Then she spun on her heel, hair flying as she began her march around the corner, her heels bringing a loud attention to her presence as it moved. Any remainder of Cedric’s smile vanished at once. From beside him, Harry’s green eyes widened behind his glasses from second-hand embarrassment. Even he knew he’d missed the mark. Hasteless, both boys scuttled forward to the edge of the wall, close enough to be heard but not seen.
As the girl rounded the corner, she was met with an almost eerie sight. Bathed only in the moonlight that flooded the corridor from a grand arched window, Draco Malfoy was hunched against the hall’s stone pillar, back turned stoically against the light. As the girl’s footsteps sounded, he straightened, and she could make out the familiar silhouette of his side profile as he turned his slender features against the white glow of the night. In his lavish black suit, he seemingly melted into the darkness.
“Y/N,” came the sound of his raspy voice.
He’d been crying, she confirmed silently. There it was in his voice.
“How did you know it was me?” she asked calmly toward him.
He’d guessed it without so much as a glance her way.
“Your shoes,” he murmured, clearing his throat. “Remember?”
Slowing, the girl thought back to the night he’d tried to kiss her, the same night he’d claimed to know her well enough to pick up the distinct sound of her footfalls.
“They have a way they sound,” he explained, his voice rumbling a little more warmly now. “You have a... a way that you walk.”
She swallowed, doing her best to remain composed for him.
“A way that I walk?” the girl mused softly, closing the distance between herself and the blond.
He tensed, alert. “Don’t.”
“What?” she asked softly, approaching the boy still.
“I don’t know what you think you know,” his voice dropped in warning, “but you’d do better to keep your nose out of it.”
“Okay,” his friend said at once. “But I’m not worried about that right now,” she defended, coming to a stop with a white-flag raise of her palms.
Draco didn’t dare to look at her.
“Then what?” he managed quietly.
“I—” the girl paused. She knew well enough that Cedric and Harry would be listening from just around the corner. But kindness was something she could afford to regret. “You,” she decided. “I’m worried about you, Draco.”
“I don’t need your pity,” he shot back at once. Quick and sour, just as he’d sounded a minute ago with Snape, and just as she’d sounded when she told the two boys the same thing earlier that day.
“It’s okay to admit you’re scared,” she tried with a gentle lilt of her voice. “But I…” she stepped forward, “I want to be here for you.”
This was enough. Draco turned his tall and thin frame toward the girl, his piercing ice-colored eyes meeting hers in the moonlight and sending a flurry of emotions crashing over her. The Slytherin's pale brows came together, and she noticed that they framed a reddened pair of eyes that looked even more tired at night than they did in the day. Normally, they would go on do something along the lines of what Cedric called ‘eating her,’ but this time he didn’t allow himself, which he’d gotten marginally better at since his forced acquaintanceship with the boy.
“I don’t need you,” his voice said, and his face lied.
“Let me be here for you,” the girl ignored him, a mere foot from the boy now.
“I don’t—” his lip curled and his nose scrunched, but it was softly that his next words came “—need you.”
“Please,” the girl urged, so badly wanting to make the pain leave him but not knowing how. “Draco,” cracked her voice, making him hurt all the more at the sound.
He didn’t say anything else. Instead, he just stood there, lips trembling as he waited mutely for the thing that would save him. The thing that he wouldn’t say, and all of the things that he wished to but couldn’t. Unsure what else she could do, the girl decidedly closed the space between their bodies and threw her arms around the boy’s neck. She had to practically jump to reach him as her arms curled around him, forcing him to stumble into her desperate embrace. His face had barely made it to her shoulder before he began to cry, and it was so quiet that she could barely hear it. Almost like he’d practiced keeping his cries stifled, she thought.
For a moment his hands stayed stuck between the folds of his pockets, but then, slowly, they lifted. Two hands snaked around the girl’s torso. At first, he just let her hug him, his hands gripped to her in support more than anything else. But then he was sliding his arms up against her back, scooping the girl in closer to his hard chest and clutching him to her like she were his life force. She could feel the curve of his cheek to the side of her neck, could feel his rattling breaths and the tears that caught on the fabric of her midnight-colored dress. She let the edges of her fingertips brush the nape of the boy’s neck. Consciously forcing herself away, she kept them from his hair. Meanwhile, her own locks were tangled in the limbs and tear-stained cheeks of the blond, who held her in absolute silence for almost a minute before letting go.
His nose was red, his eyes, redder. But something of an almost smile traced his mouth. The boy sniffled, face glittering from the light of the moon and stars. This was the first time she’d seen him cry, she realized. And he looked more ethereal than she could’ve imagined. She wondered what his next words would be, but was surprised when they finally came.
“I’m sorry for crashing your party,” he said.
She stepped back, “don’t be.”
Draco Malfoy dared to smile, the emotion looking unfitting on his sallow face. Neither spoke, but both were thinking the same thing.
“I won’t see you until after the holidays,” he worded softly.
This was his way of telling her he would miss her.
“I guess you’re right,” she blinked up at him, her heart racing in her chest.
This was her way of saying the same.
“Well then,” he sighed heavily as a familiar melancholy pulled at his lips. “Merry Christmas, Y/N.”
A steady fall of snow passed the two from outside. The only sound was their breathing and the distant clamor from Slughorn’s festivities. The girl shifted her feet nervously.
“Merry Christmas, Draco.” She nodded, pressing her lips firmly together.
Both were still, neither wanting to be the first to leave. After a few seconds, it was Draco who turned to depart.
“Wait,” she said.
His eyes were back on hers now. He didn’t say a word.
“I’ll be staying with Mr. and Mrs. Diggory,” she said. “If you ever want to reach me.”
Draco Malfoy’s pale face flooded with relief. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out, so he settled instead for a little bow of his head. But that was okay because she understood all the same. His two blue eyes shone with a final look of gratitude, and then he was gone.
The silence that was left in his absence was deafening, and yet the girl was unvexed when she turned and was met with the sight of two boys just down the corridor. There was Harry, looking like he’d just now realized something obvious, and there was Cedric, wrought jealousy woven through his handsome and delicate features.

The grass under you prickles your skin, an uncomfortable sensation even when you're laying on top of the picnic towel your boyfriend brought with him. The boyfriend in question hovers over you, blocking the moonlight, and presses sweet kisses to your face, to your shoulders and neck. His hand travels your nude form like he means to know all of you by tact. You capture his mouth in what started as almost innocent kiss, which sooner than later transforms into something nothing short of hungry.
"Cedric!" you yelp, so lost in the kiss you hadn't even realized where his hand was heading to until you felt two fingers entering you.
"What? Do you want me to stop?" he asks, although you can see it in his face he only does so to tease. You don't want him to stop, and he can feel it - literally.
You're about to answer, but he begins thrusting in and out of you, the heel of his palm pressing and rubbing your clit. The words die halfway out of your mouth, and as you throw your head back, they transform into moans. Cedric's free hand roams your body, his mouth once again pressing kisses to your skin, this time with an urgency sure to leave marks. You look up at the Moon, the only witness to the profanation of that prairie, and you feel glad there's no one to watch how your man works your body like he knows all its secrets.
"Such a good girl..."

OH, CAPTAIN!, a harry potter fic.
─── summary: Megan Wynne Jones wants to be the best. The eldest daughter in a family of muggles, she has always had a strong will. The big sister, the reliable one, she has always been there. Always. Above all, though, she wants to be the best at Quidditch. Megan makes the team in her second year, in the midst of turmoil brewing at home. She might be the youngest on her team, but she's fast on a broom and quick-thinking. She knows all the plays, she knows how to score. She's good. One day, she might even be the best. but there's one person standing in her way: CEDRIC FUCKING DIGGORY. He's a year older than her, and just a tiny bit better. Their rivalry makes the team better, they push each other to be the best, and as much as she hates him, she admires him, too. When he's made captain, she admits he deserves it. She'll get there one day, even if she has to kill him for it. It was a joke, though. She was supposed to earn the captaincy. She was supposed to become better than Cedric, and prove herself as the best. IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN LIKE THIS.

Then and Now
17-year-old Slytherin prodigy Vi had a few secrets. He found love, and then he lost it, and he wasn't able to tell anybody about it. Grief was a battle he had to fight in silence. Nothing was fair, and nothing made sense, except maybe the guitar Cedric gave him for his birthday.
23-year-old musician Vi finds himself traveling the world for "inspiration" after his agent decides his hiatus is wrecking his career. He is not expecting Romania to be his last stop, nor is he expecting nearly being torched alive by a Hungarian Horntail to be the best thing that will ever happen to him.
This fic covers Vi (original character) in both his Hogwarts and post-Hogwarts years simultaneously. It explores a parallel between two of his life's most impactful relationships and the growth that happened in between. Also... more Charlie Weasley content. The author needed it. Read on Ao3 Read on Wattpad I’m trying to get back into writing fic since high school and unfortunately Wattpad keeps pushing my old (very bad) fics I wrote when I was 14 because their algorithm sucks, so I would appreciate any reblogs/reads y’all can spare. I love y’all. Enjoy!

"fred!" you yelled frustratingly, "fred, come here this instance!"
fred anxiously hurried from the boys dorm room to the common room where you had been standing.
"wussthematta?" he replied half-asleep, eyes heavily lidded with one hand rubbing his eyes, and the other scratching his firey red head.
the common room was entirely dark, except for your lit wand, which was pointing to a piece of parchment on the floor. your nostrils were flaring as your widened eyes and frowned brows signaled fred to look at the paper.
"uuhh," as he slowly realized what he was looking at, "uh, wow, wicked thing to do really, innit?" he yawned, pretending to be so oblivious.
"fred, gideon, weasley." you spoke in a dangerous tone. fred looked up at you, looking as if he was about to be cruciated. you pointed your still-very-lit wand up at him, making his face whiter than before and his vision blurred.
the piece of parchment showed a talently drawn woman, her clothes shed off and her tongue out. the woman seemed to look an awful lot like you.
"do i even have to speak? it's YOU who should do the explaining, fred!" you said angrily.
fred sighed and let his arms fall limp to his sides, still partly blinded by your wand. "how are you even assuming it's mine? you've got no proof whatsoever!" he told defensively.
you scoffed, drawing your wand away for him, muttering something that lit up the whole common room and then picked up the piece of paper, which now had clearly shown strands of red hair covering the thighs of the woman.
"oh come off it, it could've been george or- or ron!"
you gifted him a look of disbelief. "alright, so tell me you didn't do it then." you spoke firmly.
fred groaned. he had this issue ever since he met you, the one where he just fully can't lie to you. he closed his eyes in defeat.
"aaaalright, it was me. congratulations, now may i continue dreaming about perce eating rotten pies? it was a quit enjoyable dream" he asked, simply, as if this was nothing.
you yanked him by his ear, faces now cm's away from eachother. "i do, NOT, tolerate this piece of filthy work!" you grunted. fred 'ouched' in response.
you let go of his now red ear, picked up the piece of paper, held it next to your head, and handed fred your wand.
you waited impatiently, as fred just looked confused.
"well?? do it!"
"aughh", fred just groaned dissapointedly, "expelliarmus!"
a shot of yellowish red light flew towards the parchment, and it dissapeared out of your hands, leaving a few white dots on the floor.
you sighed in relief. "wasn't so hard was it? now, i'm expecting an explanation, so i hope you prepared one whilst i was waiting."
"oh, come on. you must have some idea why." fred said, tone low and soft, glaring at you like you were some sort of prey, "don't act so innocent, love."
your expression changed. can it be? no, that would be weird. you guys are friends after all. fred smirked and playfully winked at you.
"don't be silly, fred." you had decided to say. "c'mon, it's late, let's head to bed before anyone sees us."
you were glad you chose to change topics, it was getting a little awkward, which it never usually is between you and fred.
fred followed you but before you could land your feet on the stairs, fred grabbed you by your hips.
"you wanted me to explain, right? i'll explain."
-
"oh fuck! oh yes!" the boy relentlessly pounded into you from behind. the force of his thrusts were beyond powerful."fredd- freddie! rightt.. fucking... there. ah!" you moaned. fuck, it felt so good you never wished for it to end.
"mhmmm, yeah? you like that huh, love?" fred shakingly spoke in your ear, sending you goosebumps, which only added to your incoming orgasm.
your back was flush with his chest, and you struggled to keep your legs still. he snaked his arm around your waist as he fucked into you, his other arm too occupied rubbing your little clit.
this sudden but slight change made you grasp his hair with your right hand, the other hand trying to push his pelvis away as the pleasure became overwhelming.
"mmh, don't push me away. you know you want this." he groaned.
"shit, shit, shit!" you kept gasping. the man showed no mercy, as he lifted one of your legs by your thigh, so he could be even deeper, if that was possible.
"too deep, freddie! too f-fucking deep!" you screamed. fred only chuckled at your helpless noises, feeling so proud of himself that he could get those sounds out of your pretty lips.
he sped up his merciless pace, skin-slapping noises lewdly contrasting against your high-pitched moans and freds deep grunts."yes! yes!" you kept whining, as he hit your g-spot over and over again. your eyes rolled back, and, for a moment, all your senses blacked out, and if it wasn't for freds strong grip on you, you would've fell.
"aah, fuck yeah." fred groaned, as he looked down to where you were connected to see a splash of white, sticky, hot liquid all over his and your pelvis.
he quickly pulled out, spinning you and immediately shoving you down on your knees.
your mind was still hazey as you were still coming down from your high. looking up at him, you saw him look back while roughly stroking his cock. finally understanding his gaze, you opened your mouth and stuck your tongue out.
well fuck, this was just like the drawing.
"mm, keep looking at me like that, sweetheart." he said, in a strained voice. "i'm.. almost.." he moaned, "...there."
the sight infront of you was so delicious, you just had to do something about it. you licked his tip, kissed it and then spit on it.
fred seemed surprised, and stroked faster then ever, before shooting his load onto your tongue."ahaa, oh yeah.." he sighed.
you made sure, once his eyes opened, that he saw your semen covered tongue, and then you swallowed.
not even caring what it tasted like, but caring about how fred reacted, you giggled as you saw him smirk and raise his eyebrows as if he was impressed by your actions.
"you get it now, beautiful? was that a good enough explanation?" fred said, lifting you up by your arms, and carrying you to the gryffindor bathroom.
"mhm, that was a perfect explanation, fred."

𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 | cedric diggory
Tumblr media
cedric diggory x f!reader 2,733 words warnings; nothing except for fluff<3 summary; cedric diggory had an idea. that was never a good sign.
Tumblr media
 He was staring again.
Out from the corner of her eye, she could see the bluish-gray of his irises, a rosy cheek squished against the heel of his palm where it rested, the fingers of his other hand drumming against the top of his desk. She shifted in her seat, color growing in her cheeks as she tried to focus on what Professor Trelawney was saying. Alas, between Cedric’s eyes boring into the side of her skull and the tedious Divination lesson, her attempts were aimless.
Her fingers curled around the edge of her parchment, her fists tightening with the paper balled inside them, her face so hot she was certain her skin would break out in a layer of sweat any moment. He was planning something. She could feel it. The only problem was, she had no idea what could possibly be going on inside that head of his.
The realm of possibilities were endless, and she found herself tapping her own fingers against the top of her desk, her opposite hand absentmindedly scribbling notes onto her piece of parchment in an attempt to ignore him. From the corner of her eye, she could see a blur of black and yellow as Cedric moved, and she blinked up to where Professor Trelawney stood at the front of the class, her back now turned. Cedric was leaning over the aisle now, his Hufflepuff scarf dangling in front of his chest, ignoring the looks he was getting from Fred and George where they sat behind them.
She pouted. There was no way in hell the Weasley twins would let her live this down.
“Meet me in the South Wing at nine?” Cedric whispered in her ear and she narrowed her eyes, turning to eye his features. His lips were curved into a soft yet mischievous grin, a knowing glint in his eyes. Somehow, she had a strange feeling about this. “Nine o’clock?” She scoffed beneath her breath. “You are crazy, Cedric Diggory,” she shook her head. “You realize that I am not a prefect? I’ll be in trouble if I’m seen.”
Cedric tittered and leaned in even closer, his breath a whisper against the shell of her ear and creeping shivers down the coil of her spine. “You know I’ll take care of you,” he murmured, her cheeks flooding with warmth. “Don’t you trust me?”
It was then that the bells from outside began to chime, indicating that the period has ended, therefore finally, Divination was over. She practically sprung from her seat, nearly butting heads with Cedric as she pulled the strap of her bag over her shoulder, making haste towards the exit.
She began her descent down the ladder leading to the hallway outside the Divination classroom and as soon as her feet hit the ground, Cedric was calling her name. She picked up her pace, her robes flying behind her as she dashed down the corridor, making it as far as the top step of the staircase before his hand was latching around her wrist, tugging her back into him.
“Cedric,” she whined, turning to peer over her shoulder at him. He chuckled, “you’re awfully fast.” She huffed, blowing a strand of hair away from her face. “And somehow, not fast enough,” she muttered. Cedric’s grin widened and his hands rose between them, a few rolls of parchment spilling over his knuckles. “You forgot your notes.”
Her chest heaved when she sighed and snatched the parchment from his hands, stuffing them into the knapsack at her hip. “So… you’re meeting me in the South Wing at nine, yes?” He said, hopeful as he swiped his tongue between his lips, eyeing the way she gleaned down to her shoes. She exhaled again, leaning her shoulder against the wall as students passed by and Cedric, too, leaned into the wall, stuffing his hands in his trouser pockets, awaiting her answer. Unfortunately for her, she was a sucker for Cedric Diggory.
“Do I really have a choice?” She finally asked, pinching her bottom lip between her teeth as she looked back up at him, to which Cedric’s lips peeled to unveil his pearly whites, and he chuckled, shaking his head. “I’m afraid not,” he replied. “So, I take it I’ll see you then? Say… in the courtyard?”
Her shoulders droop in defeat, but when Cedric draws in closer to her body until his toes were teasing the top of hers, she knew she couldn’t stay upset for long. She gazed up at the Hufflepuff boy, and it was then that she realized just how close he was, his breath looming over her skin. Her cheeks burned and finally, she tore herself away, taking steps backwards down the staircase.
“I’ll see you tonight,” she confirmed. “But if I’m caught, I’ll never let you live it down, do you hear me, Diggory?”
Cedric rolled his eyes as he watched her venture further down the stairs, “you shouldn’t worry so much. You’re in good hands!”
Tumblr media
Sneaking to the South Wing after curfew proved to be a lot more difficult than she had initially anticipated. She wondered if Cedric chose tonight on purpose, if he somehow knew that Snape and Filch and Mrs Norris would be around almost every single corner. She huffed as she pressed herself further into the wall, hoping the shadows were doing enough to conceal her as Mrs Norris pranced by, thankfully not looking her way. She exhaled the breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding in as she turned into the– hopefully– empty corridor, looking around for Cedric.
 Where was that boy?
She stopped in front of the door leading to the Clock Tower Courtyard to turn and peer over her shoulder, narrowing her eyes as she searched the end of the corridor to make sure the course was clear. She pushed open the doors as carefully as she could to avoid making noise, hoping that Cedric would be somewhere on the other side, waiting for her. She guided the doors closed behind her, wincing as they latched closed, hoping she had been cautious enough to not attract any attention.
She turned and blinked around the dark, empty courtyard, the boy in question still nowhere in sight. Her chest heaved when she huffed, crossing her arms as frustration swelled inside of her. It wasn’t like him to be late, but it was likely he could be messing with her. Cedric always loved playing games, but it was late and the wind had a chill to it, and the idea that she could be caught by Professor Snape had her on the very edge.
She turned around on her heels and was so close to slipping back inside the castle, but before she could even get her hands on the doors, a pair of arms slithered around her waist and her feet were lifted from the ground, the hairs on her body standing erect. Her lips parted and she nearly screeched, and she would’ve if she hadn’t realized who it was holding her close, her eyebrows knitted together when she turned to face Cedric, balling up her fist to give him a not-so-kind knock against the chest.
“Merlin’s beard, Cedric, don’t sneak up on me like that!” She whined, narrowing her eyes when he laughed. “It’s not funny. You know you happened to choose the night where nearly the entire teaching staff is on the prowl?” Cedric only rolled his eyes as he pressed her back closer into his chest, swaying them back and forth as he buried his lips in her hair. “You underestimate Cedric,” he murmurs into the top of her head, “Cedric is a lot more than a pretty face, you know.”
She rolled her eyes and turned in his arms to face him and even in the dark of the night, she was still able to make out the gleam in his eyes. “I don’t know what you’re thinking,” she whispered, eyes surging into his, her lips twisting into a scowl. “But I already think I’m not going to like whatever it is.”
Cedric’s bottom lip jut out into a pout as she began to slip from her arms and he caught her hands before she could detach completely. “You’re no fun,” he groaned, squeezing her hands even tighter when she whined, trying to pull away. “But I’m going to prove you wrong.”
She pursed her lips, giving up her attempts to tug her hands away from his to once again gaze up into the slate grayness of his irises, illuminated with mischief. Despite his claims that she should feel otherwise, she had a terrible feeling about this.
“Cedric…” she trailed off as he began to tug her forward by the hand, leading her through the moonlit courtyard, dread creeping down her spine and making her insides churn. “...where are you taking me?” She asked, her glare like a dagger against the back of his head.
If he could feel her gaze, he paid it no mind.
He led her outside of the courtyard and past the walls surrounding the castle, leading her further into the black of the night. “Cedric,” she whined, shaking his arm until his stride fell to her pace, glancing to where she walked beside him. “It’s cold. You couldn’t have chosen somewhere indoors?” She asked as he led her further down the hill until he came to a stop and she turned to gaze at the moonlit water ahead of them.
And it was then that she realized where he had taken her.
“Cedric…” she murmured his name in a warning tone, eyeing him as wiggled his hand out of her grasp and knelt down to work at his shoes, tossing them off somewhere behind him. Her lips fell agape, “Cedric!” She shook her head. “You cannot be serious!”
Cedric’s lips only curved into a crescent, beaming at her as he rolled his socks off his feet and began to shoulder his robe off of him. “What’s wrong?” He tittered, cocking an eyebrow to his hairline. “Scared?”
She pressed her lips together in a firm line and crossed her arms over her chest, scoffing at the Black Lake, the moonlight rippling in its waving waters. “It’s freezing out here, Cedric,” she hissed between her teeth. “And there’s… there’s things in there.”
Cedric chuckled, “I should know. I had to swim it to rescue you for the task last month, remember?”
She scoffed again and rolled her eyes as Cedric finally stripped down to nothing but his undergarments, backpedaling towards the shore. “So? Are you coming?” He questioned, the water rolling around his ankles. She raised her eyebrows and scoffed, “you’re insane, Cedric Diggory,” she said, disbelieving the scene as it unraveled before her. She could still make out Cedric’s grin even as he waded further into the water until the lake swallowed his shoulders, leaving everything except for his head submerged. “Crazy! And there is no way that I am swimming in that freezing, creature-infested water!”
Cedric rolled his eyes and leaned his head back against the surface, somehow reveling in the icy cold lake as if it were a warm bath. She shivered, chills littering her skin with goosebumps partly due to the breeze but also from just watching him. “You needn’t worry,” Cedric said as he rose to his feet, droplets of water dripping from his arms and chest as he gave her a little salute. “Your knight in shining armor is he–!”
Her eyes widened in their sockets and her lips fell apart in a gasp as Cedric tumbled backwards as if something had grabbed ahold of him, tugging him below the surface. She stepped closer to the water, searching the surface for any sign of him, her search coming to no avail.
A string of panicked curses tumbled from her lips as she made quick work of ripping her shoes from her feet, quickly stripping her body of her clothes until she, too, was down to her underwear. Pursing her lips and puffing out her cheeks, she willed herself to wade into the water– which was just as cold as she had anticipated it to be. But Cedric still had not reappeared to the surface and she knew that if something had really grabbed him, it was only a matter of time until it was too late.
“Cedric!” She called his name, shivering as the water rose to her shoulders, ice frosting her limbs and making her muscles numb, every move she made harder than the last. “Cedric!” She called again, her feet no longer able to touch the sand below, her arms swinging as hard as they could to keep her head above the surface. Her heart began to drum against her chest– how long had it been since Cedric had been dragged down under? Was he alright? Was he still able to breathe?
She squeezed her eyelids shut, trying to muster up all the courage she had to will herself below the surface despite her fears of whatever lurked beneath, despite how cold she was. Just as she had begun to take a deep breath, something latched around her ankle and dragged her down below the water, completely submerging her. Her mouth parted to release her scream as she snapped her eyelids open, still somehow to make out Cedric’s grin even below the surface of the dark lake.
She furrowed her brows as he circled his arms around her waist, trying to sneak his lips onto hers as she kicked and flailed, bringing them both back up to the surface. She gasped as air filled her lungs, her cheeks warm with anger as she watched Cedric brush his hair back away from his face, laughing as she pushed water into his face.
“You are such an arse!” She shrieked, her body trembling as the breeze hit her wet skin. “I thought something had you! I thought… I thought you were… ugh!” She kicked her way to an area where her feet could touch the ground, crossing her arms back over her chest as she turned away from him, glaring up at the castle. Cedric chuckled as he made his way over to where she stood, slithering his arms around her waist and dropping his chin to her shoulder, giving the wet flesh of her neck a few playful kisses.
“Awe, are you mad at me?” He cooed close to her ear and she pressed her lips together tighter, yet, allowing herself to fall back into his warmth. Cedric pouted, planting more kisses along the curve of her shoulder. “Please don’t be mad at Cedric,” he said, knocking the pitch of his voice up a few octaves. “Cedric isn’t a bad boy. Cedric loves you very much.”
She rolled her eyes again but couldn’t suppress the smile creeping up on her lips, breathing out a laugh. “You’re such an idiot, Cedric Diggory,” she tittered, twisting in his arms, his interlocked hands now pressing against the small of her back. She rested the sides of her fists against the slick skin of his chest as his forehead dropped against hers, scrunching his nose at her. “But because of my brilliant plan, you got in the water,” he muttered, shrugging his shoulders as he gently swayed their bodies back and forth. “So, you know, I’m not a total idiot.”
She scoffed, but it came out as more of a laugh as he nuzzled his nose against hers, breathing in her scent, drawing her body closer to his. “This is nice,” he murmured, pressing a soft kiss beneath her eye. She shrugged, “I could do without the ‘freezing my arse off’ part.”
Cedric chuckled and the tip of his nose dragged down along her cheek until his lips were against hers, gentle as they captured them in a soft, chaste kiss, the pad of his thumb soothing over the skin at the small of her back. Her heart stuttered in her chest as they pulled away, and she blinked up at him, reveling in the reassurance that she was in her boy’s arms, and he wasn’t going to let her go.
With her still in his arms, he kicked back off the ground, leading her further into the lake. “It’s a beautiful night,” he whispered, brushing wet strands of hair away from her face and behind her ear. “Let’s enjoy it.”

Cedric Diggory as a boyfriend 🏆🦡
Tumblr media
⋆ ˚。 ⋆୨sweetpandorabox୧⋆ ˚。 ⋆
⋘ 𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎…⋙
Warnings ⚠️: Slight mentioned of sexual themes and some spicy stuff.
Dating this sweet, kind, and handsome Triwizard champion could include:
🪦 💛 👨🏻
Cedric is a true definition of a gentleman, he undoubtedly has that chivalry touch about him, he's polite, honest, and kind. He would put your jacket around you as soon as he noticed you shivering even just a little, offer you his arm when you're about to walk somewhere, hold a door open for you, kisses you on the forehead, kisses your hand when the both of you have to part ways and never lets you pay a cent during a date that requires paying, because he enjoys paying for you and never wants anything in return. The affection of kisses, hugs and more means the world to him.
He calls you cute nicknames like Angel, Heaven, My World, or Sweetheart.
Likes when you call him Ced, Darling, Love, Handsome, or Teddy (It's an inside joke between the two of you that Cedric is as soft and kind-looking as a teddy bear, so you kept it going with that nickname).
His love language is probably words of affirmation, he's really good at expressing his love for you through words, he mentions how much he loves you often, and he compliments you anytime he gets the chance but most of all he's always affirmed you that no matter how many people might be interested in him weather that's about his popularity, looks or personality, he'll never leave you ever and that no one can ever replace nor even come close to you. That he couldn't love a human any more than he loves you.
He likes writing your name on all your subject's books for you but instead of your family's last name, he puts down his instead so every book you own says "This book belongs to Y/N Diggory" which drives your friends crazy with excitement, even professor McGonagall was sure you'd marry him one day.
He would take you out every Sunday morning to madame Puddifoot's tea shop for some tea, with sugar and milk just how you like it, while Cedric makes it a habit to make paper rings out of the tissues provided on each table for customers, then he'd take your left-hand kisses it and put the ring on you ring finger before saying "One day It'll be a real ring that shines and glimmer the way your eyes do when it hits the sun", that line never fails to make you smile and blush, so you smile at him kindly while he returns it sipping your tea away.
You have to get on your tippy toes to kiss him because he's built like a tree which never fails to make him laugh and smile at how adorable you are, but you'd pout every time he laughs at you so in return he lowers himself to your level and says "go on" then you would smile and ruffle his hair as messy as you can which leave the both of you to laugh and blush.
He uses his prefect power to go out after hours, his excuse is that he's patrolling around the castle before bed and sneak you up to the astronomy tower when there's no class available and stargaze there, then he'd ramble about all the stars that he knows about which you find really interesting and amusing.
He's the best at giving advice about anything and you've always taken it without hesitation because his advice has worked in your favor every time, he just seems to know what's best for you always.
Him chasing you all over the place to give him a hug after Hufflepuff's quidditch practice when he's all sweaty, smelly, and sticky.
When it comes to sex he's very gentle with you making sure to put you first before himself and a praiser too, despite how much you drive him crazy with lust because of how attractive you are to him, so it's mostly slow, passionate sex but when he's in the mood to just please you, he gets you to sit on his lap while he fingers you, touch your breast and kiss your neck and shoulder as you moan in pleasure. (😫).
He loves the sight of you walking towards the great hall for breakfast on the weekend after you've just woken up with his jumper on, slightly messy hair, sweats, and slippers on, what makes it better is the way you greet him good morning with your sleepy voice and a kiss to top it all off never fails to make him smile brightly and blush too.
He likes watching you sleep, he finds you to look so peaceful and effortlessly gorgeous doing nothing but breathing easy while closing your eyes, dreaming away about something good he hopes.
Despite him being sweet and patient most of the time with you, he's not afraid to argue back if he finds you to be too stubborn about something.
Shows you off proudly in front of anyone and everyone he could, talk about you often, mention how lucky he is to have you in his life and how he could never survive with you, not now not ever at this point.
Writes you cute yet unexpected love letters, notes, and paper balls with doodles of the two of you together, and no matter how many he makes/sends you've managed to keep and saved them all, which Cedric doesn't know about and by now you'd have thousands of letters, notes and paper balls filled with doodles made by him.
He smiles a lot around you and is the type of person who makes good eye contact even if he doesn't like that person that way in general.
Amos and Mrs. Diggory loves having you around their house and would often invite your whole family to join/celebrate things like Christmas for example in their home, just hoping that you and Cedric will be married together one day and untie both of your families into one big and beautiful one.
He lets you dress him up in your clothes for fun, put makeup on him, and even tie his hair into a short ponytail. He puts up with it all just to see you laugh your nose off, as long as you're happy he's happy too.
Whenever you achieve something big and you'd tell him excitedly he picks you up in the air and spins you around laughing with you and saying "I'm so proud of you my sweetheart" with a huge smile on his face before putting you down and giving you a passionate kiss.

Sweet Music
Tumblr media
Cedric Diggory x GN!Reader
Word Count: 290
Warnings: None :)
Summary: Cedric hears you sing for the first time.
A/N: Songs featured: Almost (Sweet Music) by Hozier and Pleaser by Wallows (Let's just pretend those songs existed back then lmao-)
General Taglist: @gg-is-a-loser @yesshewrites1
Harry Potter Taglist: @regulusblackswhorecrux
Moots: @spidervee @iheardarumorthings @thewritingbabe @scandalous-chaos @ddejavvu @winterwisteria
“I wouldn’t know where to start, sweet music playing in the dark,” you sing softly to yourself as you scribble answers onto your Astronomy homework. “Be still, my foolish heart, don’t ruin this on me.”
You’re alone in Cedric’s dorm, doing schoolwork as you wait for him to return and singing to pass the time. He isn’t expected to be back for another hour, so you should have enough time to get through the rest of Wasteland, Baby! before he returns. You love singing, but you get far too nervous to do it in front of others, so times like this are the only times you give yourself the chance.
“Tell me who and I’ll be thanking them,” you continue, “the numbered lovers of Duke Ellington. Do I owe each kiss to lip and cheek, as soft as Chet can sing.”
You get through the entirety of the song before hearing a soft, “That was incredible,” from the doorway.
You swivel around, mortified, and see your boyfriend smiling proudly at you. “You… heard that?” you squeak.
Cedric’s smile drops. “Yeah? Did you not want me to? I’m sorry. You sounded amazing, though.”
You swallow, turning a faint shade of red. “Th- Thank you.”
“Would you sing more for me?” he asks shyly, coming over to sit next to you. “I love your voice.”
“Erm, er… sure,” you respond quietly. You clear your throat and begin another song. “You’re talking while you’re fast asleep as I walk slowly from your house…”
Cedric sighs in amazement once you’re finished. “Merlin, I had no idea you could sing like that.” He leans close and pecks you on the lips. “I love you so much.”
You smile shyly at him. “I love you too.”

Moonlit Confessions 🌙
Tumblr media
A Cedric Diggory x Fem!reader fic.
Hey guys! This is my first time ever writing a fic. I've been reading fanfics for almost 5 years now, but was either too lazy or didn't get the courage to post my work. Constructive criticism is appreciated but please don't be mean...it's my first time so it'll likely suck 😅 Do give suggestions on how I can improve<3 A huge thanks to @queer-n-here for helping me out with some of the dialogues and plot suggestions. Go check them out!!!
(The reader is a "Prewitt" which is one of the sacred 28 pureblood families. Much like Weasleys as they too don't care about their pureblood status.)
Warnings: none. This is just pure fluff ^w^
Tumblr media
The moon was brighter then ever, as the soft wind blew playing with the locks of your hair. You stood by a large window of the library, waiting for him. But the serenity of the night sky had tranced you in it's beauty, so much so that you didn't even notice Cedric when he entered.
“The moon is beautiful, isn't it?”
You snapped out of your daze as you stepped back, startled.
“How long have you been here?” you asked with a surprised smile.
"Not long."
He replied with a smile, there was a faraway look in his eyes with a hint of excitement?....or was it mischief? but there was something about his expression you couldn't place your finger on.
"By the way, did you figure out the clue yet?" He asked.
"Not yet, that thing screams every time I open it. I'm surprised, it hasn't made me deaf yet." Your said, earning a chuckle from him.
Cedric had asked you for help with the golden egg he had got hold of in the first round of Triwizard tournament. He only trusted you with it. You and Cedric had known each other since you were practically babies. It was because both your parents were childhood friends as well.
"Then do we atleast have a lead?" He asked with an hopeful expression.
"Please don't tell me you owled that note saying, "Come to the library ASAP" just to show me a rock you found by the lake side again that was shaped like a pygmy puff." He teased.
"Oh shush, I did that when I was eleven! And the rock was cute."
"You haven't changed one bit, have you?" He shook his head chuckling.
You simply rolled your eyes with a small smile, "I do have a theory though."
Cedric crossed his arms as leaned against the wall with a curious expression, "Enlighten me, then."
"What if the scream was of the next creature you have to fight against? Just like the dragons?" You said walking towards a table which had two books you had picked out as you handed one to him. "We can try to figure out the possible creature you might have to fight against."
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." Cedric read the title out loud, "I feel like vicious would've been a better way to describe them." He added with an airy chuckle.
"Don't say that in front of someone who wants to be a magizoologist." You said with a playful glare.
"To you even an Erumpent is just as cute as a puppy." He replied with a teasing smile.
Cedric pulled out a chair for you and helped you get seated as he sat in front of you.
"Since when did you become such a gentleman?" You teased.
"Well, I can't help but channel my inner gentleman around you. Just trying to set the bar high, you know?" He replied with his classic smirk.
You raised an eyebrow, "Just around me? Are you sure you're allowed to say that with all your fangirls eavesdropping on our conversation?"
He loved this banter that they had. You were the only one on whom his charms wouldn't work and he took it as a challenge to change that.
"Well, it'll be easier to let them know I'm taken that way." He replied with a flirty smirk.
You rolled your eyes acting like it didn't bother you but your cheeks were dusted with the lightest shade of pink. It was barely visible but didn't go unnoticed by Cedric that was what he needed, a signal that he does affect her.
He rested his head in his arms as he smiled sweetly at you. "You look cute when you blush like that~"
"You're not the first one who said that to me." You replied with a sassy smirk, though internally you had melted in a puddle of blushing mess.
Cedric though smiling, visibly tensed at that reply.
"Haha, I guess I'll have to try harder to come up with compliments that leave you speechless then. Challenge accepted, and I think it'll be an easy win for me as it's hard not to compliment someone as adorable as you, even if it's been said before." He replied with a wink.
"We'll see about that." You replied with a small smile. "But for now, let's focus on the task, shall we?"
Cedric nodded, "So, that scream is well terrifying to say the least...could it be a Banshee?" He said pointing at the text under the image.
"A Banshee is a female spirit in Irish folklore who heralds the death of a family member, usually by screaming, wailing, shrieking, or keening." You read out loud.
"Well I don't think so, I mean, whose death are we talking about here? There aren't any dementors here anymore. But we can't completely rule out the possibility as the Triwizard Tournament which was held in 1792, had one of the tasks involving catching a cockatrice. However, the beast went on a rampage and injured three of the judges, the Head of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. I read that in Hogwarts, A History." You added.
"Really? But don't you think that after this tragic incident the authorities would be more careful?" Cedric asked curiously.
"Hmm. You do have a point...so perhaps it's a siren?" You thought out loud.
"Maybe? I read somewhere that a sirens scream can deafen a man and transform a woman into one of them." Cedric replied.
The two of you searched the entire Magical Creatures section of the library for an hour, but there wasn't much of a lead. Finally, Cedric suggested to take a break to go get some fresh air.
You both walked towards your usual spot near the lake. The moonlight illuminated the crystal clear waters of the lake, casting shimmering reflections that danced upon the surface with an ethereal grace, as if the night itself had decided to paint upon the canvas of the water.
As you both sat on the shore, you saw a really cute rock. "Ced, look! this looks like a Fwooper"
He simply chuckled, "Are you sure you wanna become a magizoologist? You could become naturalist considering your never-ending pile of rock collection."
"Well I love cute rocks, but I love animals more. All the rocks I have collected look like some sort of animal." You replied.
Cedric nodded, "So we have the next Newt Scamander in making. I see." He replied with a smile.
"Do you have the golden egg with you right now?" He asked randomly.
"Yeah why?"
"I wanna see if there are any marks or symbols carved on it that can give us a clue? Or perhaps help us understand that scream in a way?" He replied.
"That's a good idea." You replied as you opened your side bag, as you rummaged through its contents. But it was a bit hard because of the extending charm you'd used on it. Finally giving up with a frustrated sigh you took out your wand.
"Accio, golden egg." You casted the spell making the egg fly out of your bag and landing on the ground with a thud which opened it.
A ear piercing scream filled up the quite night, as the egg vibrated from the sound and fell into the lake.
You stood their horrified your hands trying to shut your ears.
"Holy Merlin!" Cedric exclaimed as he took his shirt off and jumped into the lake.
Expecting to hear the screams he was surprised to hear a melodious voice instead.
"Come seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground,
And while you're searching ponder this;
We've taken what you'll sorely miss,
An hour long you'll have to look,
And to recover what we took,
But past an hour, the prospect's black,
Too late, it's gone, it won't come back."
As he closed the egg and got out of the lake, he had an excited smile on his face which confused you.
"This things scream changes into a song underwater!" He replied with a grin.
Your eyes sparkled as you smiled, "It's Mermish! That means the next task has Merpeople involved. It's likely gonna be an underwater task!" You replied.
"We finally figured it out!" you said as you hugged him excitedly, but pulled away sheepishly when you realised that he was still drenched and half naked. You looked away embarassed and blushing heavily.
"Like what you see?" He teased.
"Just get dressed for Merlin's sake!" You replied, earning a chuckle from him.
Tumblr media
The next few days were spent trying to figure out this what was the most valuable thing that the Merpeople would steal from him.
"What is it that you cherish the most, that you can't live without?" You asked.
"Uh...I don't know." The look that he gave you said otherwise though.
"Oh c'mon Ced! What is it?"
"You're asking the wrong question. Instead of what it should be who." He replied with a soft smile.
"What do you mean?... Who is it?" You asked confused.
"I would let you figure that out." He replied, chuckling at her obliviousness.
"Ced! please!"
"I've got Potions now, better get going before Snape gets all cranky." He replied with a smile. "Good luck with your little quest!" He added winking before he left.
You sighed as you hugged the books closer to your chest.
"Hey Y/N! I was just wondering if you're still up for the study session today?" Cho Chang asked startling you, making you drop your books clumsily.
"Oh shoot, I'm sorry I'm such a klutz." You apologized embarrassed as Cho helped you pick up your books.
"Don't be! I'm sorry I startled you." She replied with a smile.
That's when you noticed a book in her hand that you hadn't seen before. "What's it about?" you asked pointing at it.
"Oh this! It's a Japanese muggle comic, it's called a Manga."
"That explains why I haven't heard of it...so what's the plot for this one?"
"Girl! Have you been residing in a broom cupboard at the top of the Astronomy Tower? It's a period comic and it's literally so famous even the wizarding world knows about it! I've been obsessed with this, there's this really handsome guy who just confessed to his love interest! I'm so happy!!" Cho replied with an excited smile.
“The moon is beautiful, isn't it?” you read out loud. "How is this a love confession?" You asked confused.
"This phrase is a more poetic way of saying I love you. It's meant to express love indirectly, since in Japanese culture earlier it was considered rude to directly state your feelings or needs." Cho explained.
"Anyways I got to go now, don't forget about the study sessions! Also I have quite a collection of mangas if you want, you can borrow them. Muggle writers have really good imagination." She said as she waved you goodbye.
Suddenly everything clicked, as you were reminded of what Cedric said a few days ago. A soft blush formed on your cheeks.
"I guess...I figured it out, Ced." You mumbled to yourself with a smile.
